I joined the faculty of Waycross College in 1991 and achieved tenure and the rank of Professor there. I served that institution as a faculty member teaching English composition, literature, and Humanities courses; I also served in a number of administrative positions until Waycross College was consolidated in 2013 with South Georgia College to form South Georgia State College, where I now teach and function as an Academic Affairs Projects Specialist.
