Born in New York City, Dr. Tomifumi Onishi later studied health care at Yokohama City University School of Medicine in Japan. Subsequently, he accepted a residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-affiliated Teine Keijinkai Hospital. After three years, Dr. Tomifumi Onishi returned to the United States to continue his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Presbyterian and Shadyside hospitals. Following the completion of his residency, he moved to Beaumont, Texas, to serve as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist at CHRISTUS Hospital-St. Elizabeth.
