Rabbi Steven B. Jacobs’ outlook on life was heavily influenced by a key event in his childhood. At 9 years old, he witnessed a man bully an African-American boy solely on the basis of skin color. The emotions stirred inside Rabbi Steven B. Jacobs forever impacted his perspective on anger and hostility. At that moment, he knew that he would become a rabbi, and that he would make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. After completing his formal education and becoming ordained in 1967, Rabbi Steven Jacobs spent four decades serving within various religious communities throughout the United States.
