Michael Evers

Michael Evers is a veteran public affairs lobbyist who has led Bradenton, Florida-based Project Cure, Inc., since 1987. Trained as an attorney, he gained early experience representing physicians who were facing prosecution due to natural therapy approaches that state medical boards considered outside of the health care “mainstream.” Transitioning to the public policy sphere, Michael Evers was successful in his early 1990s campaign to create the Office of Alternative Medicine (OAM) at the National Institutes of Health. He subsequently campaigned to have the OAM upgraded to its current status as the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
