Gail Kulisch served for over 28 years with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), eventually advancing to the rank of Captain and earning numerous commendations and service medals: most notably the Legion of Merit. Her illustrious career culminated in her oversight of Special Project Development in the Office of Response Policy in Washington, D.C., just prior to completing her service in March 2012. At that time, Gail Kulisch launched BTG Ventures, LLC, where she provides leadership and expertise in implementing safety and security solutions and optimizing disaster and environmental response. Today she operates as Managing Principal of the Reston, Virginia-based firm.
