An editor with Scholar Compass, Allison Schottenstein is pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Texas (UT) at Austin. In 2014, she received the UT Schusterman Center’s Gordon and Louis Appleman Graduate Fellowship. She has also received a Southern Jewish Historical Society grant and a number of other fellowships. Allison Schottenstein completed her master’s degree in history at UT Austin in 2011 and authored her thesis on the “‘Perl’s of Wisdom’: ‘Rabbi’ Sam Perl, New Models of Acculturation, and the ‘In- Between’ Jew.
