Bob Koch Case Summary
I have concerns about Bob Koch s professionalism, communication skills, willingness to contribute
positively to the Mobile Library team and his ability to represent the Pikes Peak Library District
favorably while on the Mobiles.
Background:
The Mobile Library department has 1 full time PSA4 (clerk/driver). The full time PSA4 works 5 days
a week. While in the office, the PSA4 is tasked with handling billing and ACES for the department as
well as restocking and refreshing the backup collection and handling the weeding reports and pull list.
I have spread the responsibility for these tasks to the PSS staff members, but find that they are not
getting accomplished in a timely manner. It is in the best interest of our department to have the full
time PSA4 complete these tasks, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By moving the full time PSA4 to the city route on Saturday, she gained an extra hour of office time.
This time is invaluable to the department as it sets the weekday crew up with restocked shelves,
finished pull lists and refreshed backup. Timeline:
7/24/15: Bob is on a Personal Improvement plan. Bob was placed on a PIP because while refueling the
Mobile Library, he had a verbal altercation with Acorn s Matt Crick and taped a note to Acorn s card
reader that said, Fix this damn thing. (note attached) My major concern is that Bob is unaware he is
representing the entire library district while out on the Mobile. 10/25/15: The Mobile Library
department had (2) 1.5 hour trainings on writing strategic plans. Bob emails his strategic plan to both
Alan and myself with the objective: I hope to maximize my individual talents/creative potential; I
hope to entertain patrons on the mobiles by punning, giving Don Rickles style insults, to elicit
laughter/humor; I give book talks and ask for feedback on books and movies patrons have enjoyed or
did not care for. (plan

Comparing Holmes And The King Of Bohemia
Towards the end of the story Holmes is completely annoyed with the King of Bohemia, while in
contrast he is mind blown by Irene s abilities. First and foremost Holmes tells the King that Irene is
married and is in love with the man, and for him to not fret about her releasing the picture. The King
can t quite seem to fathom the fact that a woman like Irene, a woman who is below his class, no longer
obsesses over him. Holmes confirms that she might indeed be in love and he states It is true. And yet !
Well! I wish she had been of my own station! What a queen she would have made! . As they arrive to
Irene s place to, be confronted by an older lady where she says that Irene has left the country for good.

The Cyber Security Risks Report
SQLinjection is a kind of attack that occurs through insertion or injection of a SQL query from the
input data of the client to the application for repelling the database information even though the
database is not directly connected with the internet. Jeff Orieff (2015) explained that the top Cyber
Security Risks report revealed that over 60% of the Internet attacks were launched against Web
Applications. Many IT Managers, Web Developers, and site owners are not aware of the threats in
their web applications.Important changes that took place to the list are its focus being shifted from the
top vulnerabilities to top risks. Organizations are aware of the risk, but they lack complete knowledge
in the list of methods that describes and explains the risk. SQL Injection works to make the risk much
more clear. Two risks were dropped from this update: Malicious File Execution due to tighter PHP
security lowering the prevalence of this problem, and Information Leakage and Improper Error
Handling because of a zed impact of disclosing stack trace that is minimal and the error message
information. The list of attacks that occur from the SQL injection attacks are Injection:SQL Injection
flaws are SQL, HTTP header injection, OS command injections. The attacks occur when unauthorized
data, query, command or arguments is sent to an interpreter. Vulnerable applications can be triggered
because of the unintended arguments or accepting the attacker to access the data and modifying the

The Similarities Between First And Second-Wave Feminism
Other than the obvious time differences between first and second wave feminism, the real contrasts are
found in what it was the women, and men in some cases, were fighting for. First Wave feminists
mainly fought for suffrage, while their Second Wave sisters fought for a wider range of women s
rights. First wave feminism was brought on by the newly educated female population. Women s
experiences under colonization taught them to see themselves as citizens of oppressed nations, and
many entered into Nationalist politics on behalf of their beleaguered people. (123) Women activists
took an approach of social housekeepers; it was their duty as nurtures of the nation to be involved in
education, social work, public health, poverty, and so on. (126) First Wave feminists were concerned
with gaining access to vote in elections and on other important matters, they were concerned with
gaining access to higher education; they were concerned with temperance, since they were not well
protected under the law from, drunk, abusive husbands. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Women now were educated, voting, and even aiding their states during war times. In the U.S. many
activists were fighting for similar issues addressed by the predecessors, however they were able to
take things further, since there was a precedent. Instead of just gaining access to higher education,
Second Wavers were pushing for Women s Studies classes and departments, and for prominent
historical women to be included in academia. Women in the U.S. were also beginning the enduring
battle of saving the environment. Second Wave feminists brought internal attention to the problems
caused by violence against women and by poor environmental practices.

European Imperialism Created a Rift with the World
European Imperialism created a rift within the world. European powers saw the use of Imperialism, as
well justified and a mean of spreading their influence and securing their strength. However the nations
which found themselves under rule of an imperialistic power did not share the Europeans view on the
favors they were giving. European nations saw themselves fit to divide the uncivilized world, almost
in a pie like manner, to be placed under their reign. With this came many mistreatments of indigenous
traditions and the people themselves. King Leopold the Second s imperialistic claim on the Congo,
and the European attempts at controlling China both exemplify the disaster of Imperialism on the
human condition, and the resistance created by the people.
Both Africa and Qing China saw itself under the hungry eye of European powers. Meeting and
arrangements were created, without the native s knowledge, by European power to subdivide and
subjugate these lands for their own purposes, disregarding what the people of these lands desired.
Despotism is a legitimate mode of government in dealing with barbarians, provided the end be their
improvement. (King Leopolds Ghost, 2) The European powers present at the Berlin Conference of
1884, all saw themselves as a higher state of society, one that possessed a god granted right to control
the lands and the people of the less civilized nations. King Leopold himself saw to obtain as much
land as he pleased by manipulating the other

Attempts to Connect in Joyce Carol Oates Shopping Essay
Attempts to Connect in Shopping
Although Shopping, written by Joyce Carol Oates, is fiction, the story portrays a relationship that
represents many parents and children have in real life. The child is growing up and wants to spread her
wings. However, the parent usually does not want to let go. Arguments and the awkward silences are
frequent. The seemingly useless attempts to connect with the son or daughter are also frequent. Yet,
what the child does not realize is that no matter how old she may get, she is still the parent s child. The
mother is not going to forget how precious her little baby is, yet that is what the mother does in this
story. Oates uses references to pregnancy to portray the relationship between mother and ... Show

This implies that at previous times, the conversation ended up in an argument. Nowadays, Mrs.
Dietrich just does not say a word, as if she is afraid that an argument could permanently end that
mother daughter relationship. This awkwardness is apparent throughout the story and prevents Mrs.
Dietrich from opening up to her daughter. Communication is critical if Mrs. Dietrich wants to bond
and achieve a close relationship with her daughter.
Throughout the story, images of pregnancy occur. These references portraythat intimate relationship
between a mother and daughter. Mrs. Dietrich saw herself as a beautiful and rapturous woman when
she was pregnant. She knew it would be a girl and that her baby would be herself again, reborn and
this time perfect (838). She referred to herself as someone who has failed in life. She saw her daughter
as an image of herself, but she did not want her daughter to live a life of failure like her. She hoped her
daughter would not grow to become the type of person that she disliked. She wanted her to be perfect .
Later in the story, while Nola is looking at herself in the mirror, Mrs. Dietrich again pictures herself as
pregnant. She liked how pregnancy seemed to bring everything to the present tense. Mrs. Dietrich
longs to have that feeling of when she and her daughter were one again (838 9). At the end, Nola
begins to cry when she sees an old disheveled woman. Mrs. Dietrich s

The Treatment Goal Of 75 Year Old Male With Hypothyroidism
Management. The treatment goal of 75 year old male with hypothyroidism is to improve patient s
symptoms which will allow better adaptation to environment. The medication dose should be adjusted
to maintain serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) within the lower half of the reference range
(0.4 2.5mU/L). Treatment of hypothyroidism in elderly subjects is a common task undertaken in
general and in sub specialty practice. Treatment of hypothyroidism in elderly subjects is often
rewarding, simple and cheap (Roe, 2015).
Thyroid hormones (L thyroxine). Hypothyroidism is classically treated by oral replacement with
synthetic L thyroxine (levothyroxine). Normalization of TSH levels using levothyroxine therapy can
ameliorate the effects of comorbidities in older adults (Hennessey, 2015). It has been shown then there
is no added benefit in using combination therapy of levothyroxine and liothyronine (another synthetic
thyroid hormone supplement) (Kraut, 2015). L thyroxine (levothyroxine) monotherapy has become
the mainstay of treating hypothyroidism and allows more desirable therapy (Jonklaas, 2014). Patients
whose serum TSH levels exceed 10 mIU/L are at increased risk for heart failure and cardiovascular
mortality, and should be considered for treatment with L thyroxine (Garber, 2012). L thyroxine is
peripherally converted to free triiodothyronine (FT3), the active form of thyroid hormone. It has a half
life of 6 days and is typically administered as a once daily dose of 1.6 µg/kg

Summary Of The Mower Against Garden
In The Mower Against Gardens, Andrew Marvell uses a conceit to liken the plants in an English
garden to the women of a brothel, exemplifying the theme of man s perversion of nature. Three main
metaphors are used, the first being mankind as the brothel owner. The second metaphor is the flowers
as prostitutes, and the final metaphor is the flowers offspring as abandoned children. Marvell begins
the conceit by introducing mankind as the instigator of corruption. Luxurious man, to bring his vice in
use, / Did after him the world seduce (1 2). The use of the word man, instead of mankind, begins the
characterization of the male, or the patriarchy as the owner of the brothel, as well as the patrons that
keep it in business. Additionally, the speaker uses very charged, sexual language, such as vice and
seduction to describe how humans are enchanted by nature s beauty. At the time of writing, in 16th
century England, the act of a man visiting a brothel would have been considered a vice, or something
that generally considered sinful or negative. However, the act is nonetheless accepted by society as
something normal.
The speaker then introduces nature as a female entity, which coincides with the perception of Mother
Nature. as a female entity. And from the fields the flowers and plants allure, / Where nature was most
plain and pure (3 4). The words plain and pure imply that nature, in its original, untouched state, has a
sort of purity associated with a virgin maiden. Before coming into contact with man, nature has a
pristine and naïve characteristic. However, that will change as soon after man establishes a position of
power over nature. Mankind traps nature within the gardens square (5), and he begins to change the
plants, presumably by grafting them together or selectively breeding them to produce more desirable
and colorful traits. This Garden square, with its dead and standing pool of air (6). could be interpreted
as the cramped interior of the brothel where the women are forced to work, with four walls trapping
them on every side. Later in the poem, too, the garden is referred to as a green seraglio (27). A seraglio
is the women s apartment area of an Ottoman palace. This was an

For example, if River Island were to expand their business, this would be a threat to Topshop and
would force them to expand further or change their ideas.
Consumers
Consumers have the ability to change the companies verdicts and ideas, as the customers are the vital
aspect to sales. Topshop have to continuously research the customers desires and progress their
products to best suit their needs throughout the future. Topshops organisation have to monitor five
different key markets to adapt their products and services for the consumers. Topshop have to study:
Consumer markets, resellers, corporate markets, administration markets and worldwide markets. As
the consumers needs and wants are changing endlessly, the demand for Topshops research and
knowledge have to be an on going process.
Suppliers
Topshops performance is evidently heavily impacted by the actions of the suppliers, whether this is a
strength or weakness for the company. The organisation has to repeatedly monitor the actions of the
suppliers, thus will enable them to be prepared for any surprises coming their way. Topshops suppliers
have an effect on their actions as, for example, if the supplier delivers a reduced facility to the
company, the delivery to the stores would be increased and the product quality could be decreased.
Topshop have to ensure a strong relationship bond with the suppliers to enable a successful and more
trustworthy service in which the company have.

How Does Milgram Study Unethical
Milgram on Ethics A Study on Where Milgram Crossed the Line Kyle Froerer Weber State University
Upon researching Milgram s study more in depth and weighing the opinions of those who feel it is an
ethical study versus those in opposition I add my opinion to those who feel the experiment was an
unethical practice. This paper will explain more of why I feel this way. I will also provide four peer
reviewed sources supporting my argument. The first reason I find it to be unethical is because of the
ways in which subjects were lured into participating in the study. Certain people could say they
volunteered but that would require they not be compensated for their efforts in any way. Each
participant was financially compensated with $4.50 which is the equivalent of about $25.00 to today s
currency (Dollar Times, 2008). Because none of the participants were truly volunteers their actions
and subsequent test results must not be considered ethically accurate when comparing them to society
in general. Continuing on, the setting in which the participants were observed was a foreign setting all
with employing behaviors unique to that of a scientist (Baurimd, 1964). Now, coupling the foreign
setting, strange behaviors and the fact they have been paid with the principle of participant obedience,
it can be assumed that all these attributes mixed together would result in an overly obedient test
subject. To accurately study the baseline for the principle of obedience in

How Did Jean Jacques Rousseau Influence The British...
Philosopher and novelist Jean Jacques Rousseau has had a significant influence on his belief about
childhood and education from the later eighteenth century until the present. Jean Jacques Rousseau
also influenced the British revolution and during that time inspired William Woodsworth and William
Blake. He was known for going against the common belief of the innocence of children and their
nature and how they should not be subjected to the hardships brought on to them by events beyond
their control. William Woodsworth who was a English Romantic poet had a similar belief on the
innocence of Children as of Jean Jacques Rousseau and

equality. He was an influential French writer who believed in a perfect society where
everyone was naturally pure and had inner goodness. Jean Jacques Rousseau stressed
social equality as a presumption of the new proposed democratic system. He developed
socialism and the growth of nationalism. These ideals helped influence the French

Jean Jacques Rousseau Wrote Émile , A a poem about the nature of

story of a man named Émile and traces the development and the education and was made

The Impact Of Foreign Policy On International Trade Essay
Ever since the first involvement of government in international trade, many people have posed their
opinion about what the role of government should be in it. Different factors are involved when it
comes to deciding what this should be. It impacts a lot of people, so in order to do that, trade policy
must be properly defined, identify what the roles of government currently are, and their involvement
in it, and then analyse what should be their role. Trade policy is how a country carries out trade with
other countries (Commercial Policy, n.d). Even though a lot of people support government
intervention in international trade, countries would benefit a lot more if the government removes
protectionism and promotes free trade instead.
Trade policy is defined as a collection of rules and regulations that are made by public officials which
relate to trade (Trade Policy, 2010). An organisation that makes the rules of trading amongst its
member nations is the World Trade Organisation (WTO). They are the ones who handles trade issues,
supervises trade policies, gives technical assistance to developing countries and participates with other
international trade organisations (World Trade Organisation, n.d). New Zealand is an example of a
country that works with the WTO. Due to this, it enables them to have a free trade policy. Trading is
essential to New Zealand s economy, as they can only afford the services and goods that they import
by selling exports to other countries. Free trade

Persuasive Essay About Soccer
Soccer, also known as football is a sport played by millions all around the world. This is not only a
sport, but an activity available to anyone that offers valuable life lessons to those who play. Lessons
and skills such as leadership and teamwork, determination, and friendships are a few that I have gotten
out of playing soccer. Many people view soccer as a waste of two and a half hours because the game
becomes repetitive and predictable. The start off of the game is as follows, one team starts with
possession of the ball with the intention is to score a goal, while keeping it away from the other team
and vice versa. Watching the sport may seem boring to those who do not play because they don t
understand it. People who don t play soccer do not realize the amount of time and effort it takes to
excel in this sport, which comes down to the time spent practicing and conditioning. The more hours
spent on footwork and physical conditioning, the better you become. This sport can be extremely
physical, but it is also a mental game. It is important to be in the right mental state during a game
because distraction in the head leads to mistakes on the field. A strong mental state is extremely
important in soccer, as well as every day. The ability to multitask proves to be an advantage in the
game; when a player has the ball, they need to continue to move, look for open teammates on the
field, and maneuver around the opposing team simultaneously. People who understand this sport can

Public Administration Ethics
The roll of ethics in public administration is based on the administration; administrators should be
value free when they implement public policy. I will discuss why ethics should be based on the
administration and, why it should not be based on each individual worker in the administration. I will
discuss Weber s stance on values in bureaucratic organizations, what Macintyre suggests, and what
Hummel and Goodsell would conclude about values in public administration. Most people do not
understand what an administration deals with everyday on an individual basis. They might think that
an administration is supposed to make the best ethical choices, but that is not the case. People who are
outside the administration might think that administrators are supposed to use everyday values when
implementing policy, but that is also not the case.
Ethics are the rules that define moral conduct according to the ideology of a specific group. Moreover,
ethics in public administration are important for good business conduct based on the needs of a
specific town, state or country. Ethics provide accountability between the public and the
administration. Adhering to a code of ethics ensures that the public receives what it needs in a fair
manner. It also gives the administration guidelines for integrity in their operations. That integrity, in
turn, helps foster the trust of the community. By creating this atmosphere of trust, the administration
helps the public understand that they are working with their best interests in mind. The roll that ethics
plays in public administration is based on each individual administration. An administration is a
business after all and it has to make money to survive in the business world. If all the businesses in
public administration based ethics on each individual worker than his or her administration would not
survive. Imagine if you were an individual working for the state dealing with welfare for a citizen.
You know that the citizen needs more money than the federal government is giving, but you can only
give out the amount of money that is allowed by the government. Well if one employee gives out extra
money to one citizen and other employee does the same thing than the state will be

Human Skin
1.1. Anatomy and Function of Skin:
The Human skin is the largest single organ of the body, with a surface area of one to two square
meters and accounts for approximately 16% of total body weight. It protects the body as an outer
barrier from external pathogenic factors and excessive water loss. The skin is composed of three main
layers: the epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis or subcutaneous layer1,2.
Epidermis:
The epidermis is the outermost layer of mammalian skin and contains four types of cells:
keratinocytes, which make up 90% of the cells found in this layer, Langerhans cells, melanocytes, and
Merkel cells. The epidermis is a stratified squamous epithelial layer, containing keratinocytes
organized in four main different strata (i.e. stratum ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Routes of skin penetration:
There are two diffusional routes to penetrate into human skin: the transappendageal and the
transepidermal routes.
The transappendageal route or so called the skin shunts comprises transport via hair follicles, sweat
ducts and sebaceous glands. There is relatively small surface area (approximately less than 0.1% of
total surface) for this route and may be of some importance for ionic molecules or large polar
compounds. In addition, the relative surface area of the shunts in different areas of the body may be
various. For instance, in the scalp, the density and size of hair follicles are much greater than in other
location on the skin such as on the back12.
The transepidermal pathway is principally responsible for diffusion across the skin. This route can be
defined as the pathway where compounds permeate across the stratum corneum by using two different
passages: the transcellular and the intercellular13,14.
The intercellular pathway is generally regarded as the main route of permeation of most compounds
and provides a significant route by enhancing interaction with lipid remains in the corneocytes. The
transcellular (a polar pathway) pass through corneocytes and interleaving lipids15,16. Figure 1

Biscuit products that are being sold in Fiji market are well differentiated through different packagings

Israel received their independence in 1948, 69 years later they have surpassed more milestones than
most countries do in 200 years. (Katz, 2017) Their history shows nothing but war and conflict all the
way from the Biblical time frame to present day. Israel has gone from poverty to wealth in a brief
duration of time. Israel s Political, Military and Economic structures have developed tenfold in
contrast to other countries that were established four times longer. Through Israel s military, the
government backing, and their ability to adapt economically, Israel is holding their enemies at bay and
escalating to a superpower nation. First, Israel is the only Democracy in the Middle East,

Changes happening to your body in week 25
Your uterus has reached the size of a football and your pregnant belly is becoming rounder. Here is an
overview of the physical changes that happen to you during week 25:
Do you notice that you are becoming clumsy in your physical movements? Do not fret over it.
Clumsiness of movements is a part of the second and third trimesters. You are losing your balance
because of the growing life you carry within you.
If you re experiencing pelvic girdle pain, it is due to Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD). Symphysis
Pubis Dysfunction is caused by stretchy ligaments in your pelvic area.
The increased blood volume pressurises your blood vessels and results in varicose veins. Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome, leg cramps, feet swelling and bleeding gums are likely to continue in week 25 of
your pregnancy.
Because normal daily hair loss is suppressed by pregnancy hormones, you may notice that your hair
becomes thick and glossy. However, all this extra hair might shed off after you deliver your little one,
and sometimes in chunks.
You may experience swollen, itchy veins in the rectum due to pressing down of uterus. These veins
are caused by the increase in blood

The Mining of Metals Industry
Metals have been an important industry for mankind since the Bronze Age, gold and silver are other
important metals that were used for currency and ornamental jewelry. The Industrial Revolution
helped to usher in modern civilization by transforming iron into railway transportation and high rise
buildings in all of the major cities around the world. Concerns for the environment did not exist as
long as the metals could be extracted to fulfill the needs of the masses. Environmental concerns about
mining didn t even come about in the United States until the Resources Conservation and Recovery
Act (RCRA) in 1976 (EPA 1976). RCRA was the first Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
regulation that required a study of mining wastes from active surface and underground mining
activities. In 1985 the EPA published the Land Disposal Restrictions Phase IV which establishes the
metal bearing waste treatment standards (EPA 1985). This includes Toxicity Characteristic waste that
is generated from mining processes with high concentration levels. The EPA also printed the
Abandoned Mine Site Characterization and Cleanup Handbook in 2000 to cover all mining processes
and remediation programs (Ceto and Mahmud 2000). The following pages of this paper will
concentrate on the mining practices, present contamination and remediation factors needed to clean up
many sites that are either active or abandoned. The mining of metals can be separated into three

Economic Distress On France s Regressive Taxation System
Furthermore, economic distress was furthered upon France s regressive taxation system where
evidence suggests it caused the Third Estate to be deprived of food and drove many to the brink of
starvation which in turn led to social unrest. One possible interpretation of the taxation system in place
is that of Jacques Necker who condemned it as a real monstrosity in the eyes of reason . Necker s
criticisms of the taxation system can be seen by the proportion of tax levied on the Third Estate who
had to pay a tenth of their income to the state and a 5% property tax called the vingtième which was a
tax on the number of people in the family. The long term implications of these taxes were brutal to the
Third Estate as agricultural yields were declining yet taxes were growing steadily higher. This is
arguably something King Louis XVI has to take responsibility for as he aggravated the situation with
his excessive spending with total disregard of France s fiscal problems as he ordered to build
Versailles with gold decorations; this unnecessary spending furthered the debt, equally Marie
Antoinette s unwarranted spending led to anger among the Third Estate. Whilst it can certainly be
argued the excessive spending of the monarch was not a direct cause of the economic problems thus
blame cannot be entirely placed on Louis XVI as those before him, Louis XIV and Louis XV also
spent excessive amounts, as they were accustomed to this style of living. Nevertheless the

Why Accountants Are Important For The Future Of...
Introduction
Accountants play a very pivotal role in the success of all businesses as they are deemed to be
foundation of business interactions (Malley, 2015). Being professional accountants they have expertise
which helps them provide quality service and advice on business matters. They increase value of
business by implementing accounting systems and rules required by any particular business and area.
Increased business profitability is another factor for which accountants are important drivers as they
provide cost effective measures and unique operating techniques.
Accounting is an old profession which has evolved significantly over time from manual bookkeeping
to complex accounting software (Caulfield, 2016). Accounting is mostly confused with just data entry
and reporting for which accounting software are available that can perform the function much quicker
and efficiently. Now a few questions do pop up in our minds as to what will be the future of
accountants with such technological advancements? How will accountants adapt themselves with
changing needs?
This report will shed light on above mentioned concerns and we will see later that future of
accountants is not really in danger. Accountants are normally mistaken with accounts preparation on
regular basis. Although they are specialized in doing that particular task but it does not mean that this
is the only task they perform as the ultimate purpose is to provide reliable information to the
management for critical

The objective of this work is to discuss Hydro Quebec Efforts to restructure and Reorganize IT
support management function line demands business models and specifically to describe external
factors and internal factors affecting change IT management for Hydro Quebec through use of the
socio technical design document. This work will also answer the question of what changes would be

Introduction
The work entitled Challenges and Reflections on Knowledge Society Sociotechnical Systems reports
that information technology (IT) is redefining the business basis and that customer attendance,
operations, product strategies, marketing and distribution and even the society of knowledge depend
sometimes even totally on Information System (IS). (Balloni, 2010, p.21) The implementation of a
new technology has been associated with problems that are often linked to resistance by the work
force and failure to achieve the expected benefits. (Balloni, 2010, p.21) Balloni (2010) reports that
there must be a fit between the technical and social system, which form the organization. This means
that business strategy, rules and processes determine the type of software and subsequently the type of
hardware, database, and telecommunications system needed by the organization. The social system is
comprised by the organization s

However, there are disadvantages of having a partnership structure for a business. The biggest
problem of a partnership is the decision making that is involved during a meeting. Most of the times,
partners disagrees with each other and will ultimately lead to arguments and personal conflict.
Additionally, when a partner makes a mistake and creates a problem for the business, each partner is
involved with all the debts and liabilities. This is a disadvantage for you and the partners because you

Our Own World Is Portrayed By William Wordsworth
Our own world is viewed through our own experiences and shaped through human emotion. Humans
can experience and see the world itself can appear to shapes the emotion as well. It is impossible to
say which precedes which; does the external world that is clearly and vividly see, show the tangible
object that mirrors the mood? It is poetry that has an inherent tendency towards pan psychism; the
feeling that soul and nature pervades all which is close. M.H. Abrams saw for the Romantics that same
reverent apprehension of nature s grandeur: constituted a systematic theodicy of the landscape
(Natural Supernaturalism, 98). The full grasp of this feeling is the idea of pantheism. This pantheistic
tendency became explicit among the Romantics, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These dissenters questioned religion saw religion with its human tainted touch and the inadequacies
that focused more on the materialistic than spiritual as what religion is supposed to achieve. William
Wordsworth is one of the Romantic Era writers that spoke of nature with zeal and reverence with a
religious tone. By its very nature, poetic imagery links human thoughts and emotions intimately with
the external world. The pathetic fallacy is used here by Wordsworth. It appears that nature is a blank
page that takes on the paints of the human feeling. William Wordsworth takes nature as a soul
invading figure so far transcendentally as to make it his religion pointing to the idea of a philosophical
turn suggesting an atheistic and also a pantheistic world view. Wordsworth writes in his poem
Composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey :
Nature never did betray
The heart that loved her; tis her privilege,
Through all the years of this our life, to lead
From joy to joy: for she can so inform
The mind that is within us, so impress
With quietness and beauty, and so feed
With lofty thoughts. (122 128)
Wordsworth felt that poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings (172) in his Preface to
Lyrical Ballads stated that he felt an individual could explore and experience the intense emotion that
poetry offers.. Wordsworth saw the grand lay of nature is evident from his early years. In Wordsworth

Abstract
We are replicating J.R. Stroop s original experiment The Stroop Effect (Stroop, 1935). The aim of the
study was to understand how automatic processing interferes with attempts to attend to sensory
information. The independent variable of our experiment was the three conditions, the congruent
words, the incongruent words, and the colored squares, and the dependent variable was the time that it
took participants to state the ink color of the list of words in each condition. We used repeated
measures for the experiment in order to avoid influence of extraneous variables. The participants were
16 17 years of age from Garland High School. The participants will be timed on how long it takes
them to say the color of the squares and the color of the words. The research was conducted in the
Math Studies class. The participants were aged 16 17 and were students at Garland High School. The
results showed that participants took the most time with the incongruent words.

Islam As A Religion And Saudis

Religion is an organized set of beliefs, cultural systems and worldviews relating humanity to an order

Muslims who share the same religion see themselves having a communicative relationship with one
another. Interpersonal communication and social relationships are two way processes of exchanging

In terms of symbols, Islam prohibits to wear symbols, however, it does not prohibit having religious
symbols at home, such as framed Suras (Verses) from the Quran (Islam s holy book) hanged against
the wall. Most of the practicing Muslims have framed Suras at their home. Nevertheless, Muslims do
not hang pictures of their prophet (Muhammad) on their walls because it is seen as prohibited in their
religion. In fact, any personification of any prophet is seen as prohibited. Muslims are good at interior
architecture, as it seen as beautiful and glorious. Muslims are known for the unique and artistic style in
interior design, which is influenced by the Gold Age of Islam when they were in Andalusia. Most of
the Muslim interior design is inspired from the Arabic calligraphy and the Quran.
In terms of sound, Islam has specific codes of behavior on the manner Muslims should speak and even
sound. Though only a few Muslims in Saudi Arabia speak slowly, Islam advocates to speak slowly and
softly, as it is a better and a likable way to communicate. Muslim Imams in Friday prayers encourage
the sender not to scream while transmitting a message so that the receiver understands the message
clearly and reply the same way. However, this aspect is not applied everywhere.
The Muslim attitude is an abstract value in Islam. Muslims are usually compassionate about their

Schindler s List Of The Holocaust Essay
Schindler s List was one of the first critically acclaimed Holocaust films in the United States. Director
Steven Spielberg set out to make a historically accurate film about Oskar Schindler, portrayed by
Liam Neeson, and his Jews. It has been over 20 years since the film s release and Schindler s List
continues to reign supreme when it comes to Holocaust films. However, this is not to say that the film
has not been without controversy specifically surrounding the film s historical accuracy. While often
hailed for its accuracy, it would be inaccurate to imply the film is completely correct. Spielberg
sacrifices historical accuracy numerous times for the sake of manipulating the audience and telling the
Holocaust story that he believes should be told, a story that puts Schindler in the forefront while the
Jews take a backseat. The historical inaccuracies of the film led to the assumption that Schindler s List
is less about the Jews and the Holocaust and more about Schindler, making the film to be more of a
biopic. The portrayal of Jews in Schindler s List has been critiqued and remained problematic since
the film was released in 1993. Per Spielberg, Schindler s List was supposed to be a Jewish film that
was by Jews, about Jews, and for Jews to use against non Jews. However, the film often missed the
mark to show this. The film, which focuses mostly on Schindler, makes the Jews out to be passive
victims who willingly accepted their fate until Schindler arrives. For

Symbols In The Builder King
As for Leopold II, he died a year after Belgium came in possession of the Congo, but his imprint on
the Belgian landmark is still visible. With the money gained from his Congo, he was able to realise his
wish for grandeur and architectural magnificence. The Builder King , as he is often referred to in
Belgium, provided numerous cities over the country with gorgeous buildings and monuments, and
reshaped their urban landscapes with squares, avenues, and parks. The two cities which benefitted
most were Brussels, the capital, and Ostend, a fishing harbour on which Leopold set his heart. Under
Leopold II, Ostend was adorned with a splendid sea walk, luxurious hotels, villas, a race track, and

Street monuments, by nature, have a political meaning and remind the passer by s of the persona
memorialised and his (or her) deeds. The monuments achieve this significance with the particular
choices made around their erection: their style and design, emplacement, and scale. In Ostend, the
gigantic statue depicts a triumphant Leopold on horseback, with a crowd of his adulating subjects
(both Congolese and Belgians) at his feet. It is strategically placed on the sea promenade, is very
almost aggressively high and can thus be seen from far away. Yet, public statuary can also encourage
demonstrations of resistance: in 2004 a group of local anarchists called De Stoeten Ostendenoare
symbolically sawed the hand of a Congolese among the statue complex in order to denounce the
abuses committed by the colonial regime (such as the severing of hands in this case) and the role
played by the King in the Congo. Initially, the city council was in favour of leaving the altered statue
as such, as a reminder of Leopold s dark colonial past. Yet, to this day, the debate concerning the
suitability of a repair and replacement of the hand is still running. In Brussels as well, Leopold s
monumental statue is in a public thoroughfare, upright on his horse, looking masterly over a big
boulevard and offices, and with the Royal Palace behind him. Ironically, he is facing Matongé, the
district of Brussels where the Congolese immigrants settled down during the past decades. This statue
has also been victim of vandalism, when, in 2008, the anti establishment writer Théophile de Giraud,
climbed on it and painted it in red, symbolising the blood shed by Leopold II in the Congo. He was
protesting against the fact that a man who committed crimes against humanity was commemorated as
one of the nation s great men, and was pleading for the removal of the statue.

Oxidative Stress
Module ten discussed oxidative stress, and the causes, as well as consequences of liver disorders.
Oxidative stress occurs when there is an abnormal balance between nonspecific oxidation reactions,
and the body s ability to counteract them. A nonspecific oxidation reaction refers to one that involves
free radicals reacting in a disorderly fashion with other molecules. Free radicals are highly reactive
molecules that can cause cellular damage, targeting that of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic
acids. Free radicals within the body can lead to fragmentation of proteins causing them to have an
abnormal function, oxidize polysaturated lipids at their double bond causing disruption in the
membrane function, and cause mutations in DNA. Antioxidants react directly with free radicals in the

Glutathione and uric acid are antioxidants that are made by the cells. Glutathione performs most of its
antioxidant activity within the cell, while uric acid does most of its antioxidant activity in the blood

carotenoids and selenium. The liver disorders discussed were that of a fatty liver and alcoholic liver
disease. A fatty liver is a disorder that is characterized by the accumulation of triglycerides within liver
cells, causing the liver to enlarge up to three times its normal size. The accumulation of triglycerides
in the liver will cause the liver to have a yellow appearance. A fatty liver can be caused several ways,
such as obesity, protein energy malnutrition, metabolic disorders, and chronic alcohol consumption.
The treatment for a fatty liver depends on the cause for the fatty liver. For example, if a fatty liver is

Biodegradable Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery
Review: Biodegradable Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery
Introduction
With the many innovations in the disciplines of nanotechnology and drug delivery their merger is a
very advantages strategy transport of small molecular weight drugs and macromolecules for localized
or targeted delivery to the tissue of interest [1]. Nanotechnology will provided an outlet for conveying
therapeutic agents in biocompatible nanocomposites such as nanoparticles, nanocapsules, micellar
systems, and conjugates. With the rewards of the nano scale and interactions of these delivery
systems, remedies can be used to provide targeted delivery of drugs, to improve oral bioavailability, to
sustain drug/gene effect in target tissue, to solubilize drugs for intravascular delivery, and to improve
the stability of therapeutic agents against enzymatic degradation, especially of protein, peptide, and
nucleic acids drugs [1]. By tailoring polymer qualities, on can specify design factors that can control
the release of therapeutic agents to provide excellent targeting for optimal efficacy. The ability to

Judas Priest Influence On Society
The heavy metal band Judas Priest was known for being one of the most popular and most respected
heavy metal bands on the planet. Even though they have had many members, they have made a huge
impact in the heavy metal genre. They were hugely influenced by two of the most popular and well
known heavy metal bands of all time.
Judas Priest was influenced by Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Both Black Sabbath and Judas Priest
came from Birmingham, and were heavily influenced by the factories and bleak surroundings of the
area (Bowe 26). Early in their career, Black Sabbath had let Judas Priest borrow their rehearsal space.
One of the first members of Judas Priest had briefly been involved with Earth, which was the band
that became Black Sabbath ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1973, Al Atkins and Chris Campbell left the band because they weren t happy with the band s lack
of money. Sue Halford mentioned her brother, Rob Halford, as an exchange for Al, welcoming him
into the band soon after (Bowe 33). This seemed to turn things around for Judas Priest. In 1978, the
band began to change up their look. Instead of satin bloused, bell bottoms, and wide brimmed hats,
they wore black leather and metal studs (Bowe 40). After the release of Hell Bent for Leather in 1979,
they brought in handcuffs and whips, completing their look. After this, many heavy metal bands had
began to take on the look as well (Bowe 42). CREEM magazine decided to put Judas Priest on the
cover in August 1981 (Bowe 47). Judas Priest s only concert appearance was a huge charity concert in
Philadelphia and London in 1985 to help people in Africa that were starving, and the name of this
organization was Live Aid. In that same year, many heavy metal artists got criticized for their lyrics
(Bowe 53). From all the stress of the Reno trial and constant touring and recording, Rob Halford
wanted a break from the band, officially leaving in 1992. This caused a long, messy fight between him
and the other band members (Bowe 63). Then in 1994, Glenn Tipton started his own career (Bowe
64). In 1997, Halford was replaced by Tim Ripper Owens, the nickname given to him by the band
(Billik). In 1998, Rob Halford was ready to tell people something about

The Tradition Of The Century Viking Wars
1. Many of the Air Force s customs, traditions, and procedures are traceable to the earliest warriors.
The dining in is one such military tradition that has its roots in the distant past. The pre Christian
Roman Legions probably began the dining in tradition. Roman military commanders frequently held
great feasts to honor individuals and military units. These get togethers were victory celebrations
where past feats were remembered and loot of new conquests paraded. The second century Viking war
lords stylized the format of the victory feast. With the exception of the lookout, or watch, the entire
clan attended these celebrations. Feats of strength and skill were performed to entertain the members
and guests. The leader took his place at the head of the table, with all others to his right and left in
descending order of rank.
2. The dining in custom was transplanted to ancient England by Roman and Viking warriors, and King
Arthur s Knights of the Round Table practiced a form of dining in in the sixth century. The tradition
eventually spread to non military groups, such as the Saxon nobles of the tenth century and the
medieval monasteries. The monks, who followed a more rigid regimen, had their form of dining in as
an integral part of monastic life. The clergy spread the custom to the academies and universities. The
British officer corps, with many graduates of these centers of learning, carried the tradition back to
military units. The dining in became increasingly

Climbers Who Summited Everest Research Paper
Bravery doesn t mean being fearless. It means to be full of fear but still not being dominated by it.
This means that bravery is having fear, but not letting it stop you from anything. In this essay I will be
writing about three climbers who summited Everest with disabilities. Everest is the highest mountain
in the world. It rises 29,035 feet or 5.5 miles in the air. When climbing, there are dangers of
avalanches, ice, hidden cracks, storms, and crevasses. Erik Weihenmayer, Paul Hockey, and Tom
Whittaker summited Everest with disabilities.
Tom Whittaker summited Everest with an amputated leg. He attempted to climb it three times and he
never gave up when he was unsuccessful. He didn t give into fear or anyone telling him he couldn t do
it. On Thanksgiving in 1979, a car crash shattered both of his legs. His right foot and lower leg had to
be amputated. He tried three times to summit Everest. On his third attempt he summited Everest in
May, 1998. He says that climbing Everest is more of a challenge and more important to him since he
is disabled. Tom Whittaker s current quest is to climb the highest peaks on each continent the Seven
Summits. Tom will never refer to himself as Walking impaired because he believes he can be just like

He also lost both of his parents to cancer. Paul told people that he climbed Everest because he wanted
a challenge that was worthy of any regular person, he wanted something out there. He traveled to New
Zealand to learn the art of mountaineering. His study and training in martial arts taught him to
continually challenge himself. Paul summited Everest on Sunday, June 5 of 2005 at 7:42 a.m. Paul
Hockey became the first disabled person to climb Mount Everest from the North Side. He didn t let
fear get in his way and he still doesn t. He continues to push his mental, physical, and spiritual
toughness to their absolute

Cyber Deterrence And Its Impact On Western Europe
What is Cyber Deterrence? Merriam Webster defines deterrence as the act of making someone decide
not to do something or the act of preventing a particular act or behavior from happening (Merriam
Webster, 2015) . This can be applied to the cyber realm in the sense that we need to deter terrorists,
state actors and non state actors from attempting attacks on U.S. networks. To understand how to
apply cyber deterrence we have to look at past policies or theories on deterrence.
Deterrence theory first appeared as part of the West s containment strategy in Europe, which aspired to
keep the Soviet Union confined to Eastern Europe and to prevent it from gaining control of Western
Europe (Kugler, 2014). If the Soviets decided to invade Western Europe with the intentions to drive to
the English Channel, the United States could launch a nuclear attack not only on Soviet troops but on
the Soviet homeland as well. The strategy was aimed at deterring conventional attack on Western
Europe by convincing the Soviet government that an invasion would not succeed and that the Soviet
Union faced unacceptable risks: if it made such an attack, it would suffer losses that far exceeded any
benefits that it might hope to gain (Kugler, 2014).
Around the 1960s the deterrence strategy began to change. The Soviet Union began to develop nuclear
tipped ICBMs (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) that could reach U.S. soil in a timely manner. This
could undermine the precarious logic of deterrence by

Analysis Of The Movie If I Die
The war in Vietnam was unlike many wars that the United States has become involved in with military
action. The Vietnam War is one that the United States had no direct reason to become a part of the
conflict. Even though we weren t directly attacked by Vietnam to initiate American involvement in the
war, the leadership of the American government, at the time, thought it was necessary for the United
States to get involved to help stop the spread of communism. Many people disagreed with the decision
to go to war in Vietnam and one of those people who vocalized his opposition was Tim O Brien. As
we see in the book If I Die in a Combat Zone , Tim O Brien is extremely critical of the war in
Vietnam.
Tim views himself as a coward for participating in a war that he saw as unjust. It is very evident why
he thinks this way as he doesn t think going to war is the answer to the problems that are facing
Vietnam. He does not see it as a means to prevent the spread of communism to other countries. O
Brien sees the war as unethical and unwarranted for the simple reason that Vietnam was basically at
war with itself. It was a civil war contained within Vietnam. The United States decided to send troops
abroad to deal with a situation of civil unrest that did not directly impact American citizens. His
opinion was that the US government had no business getting involved in the affairs of another country
especially when it put United States citizens in danger unnecessarily. O Brien

Amelia Earhart Speech
Have you ever been daring enough to think outside the box or do something out of the ordinary?
Maybe you have, or maybe you ve been too scared to do it. Someone who wasn t afraid was Amelia
Earhart. She did something no one else had done or attempted to do before. Amelia Earhart, daring
and outgoing from the start of her life, achieved many things, which is why she should be remembered
because, indeed, flying is what ended her life.
Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1898, in Atchison, Kansas. Around 1907, her whole family
moved to Des Moines, Iowa. Amelia was a full out tomboy during her whole childhood. She once slid
a sled off a barn roof, calling it a roller coaster. She also played all the sports that, normally, only boys
played like football and basketball. During the summer of 1907, Amelia s dad, Edwin, took her and
her sister, Muriel, to the Des Moines State Fair. Edwin was really attracted to the model airplane at the
fair. On the other hand, Muriel and Amelia, surprisingly, were unamused. They just thought the plane
was boring. (Lardner, 205 207).
In 1917, Amelia and her mother took a trip to Toronto, Canada, even though, there was a war
happening. Amelia saw wounded soldiers on her left and right. She knew she had to help in some way.
So, she stayed in Toronto and became a nurse s aid. This began her path down the medical and nursing
road. After the war, Amelia started premedical nursing school in New York. (Lardner, 207).
Amelia s love for planes started to

Mattress Size Analysis
When it comes to shopping for mattresses, it s important to be familiar with the different mattress
sizes to ensure that you re making the right choice. Most manufacturers usually produce all sizes but
there are some types that are only available in select stores or areas even.
Your mattress size will also influence the type of sheets and the number of pillows that you re going to
get for your bed. If this is your first time shopping for a mattress and you haven t gotten a bed frame
yet, how big your choice is will also influence the type of bed you re supposed to acquire.
There are four different mattress sizes: twin, double, queen and king. Each one of these types has its
own pros and cons details that you need to learn about if you are to find the most suitable product for
your specific circumstance.
Twin
The twin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At 60 x 80 , it is six inches wider and eight inches longer than the double mattress. This one offers
more sleeping space for two adults although it may still be quite cramped for people who have a wider
body built. It is also an ideal choice for singles that tend to sleep all over the bed.
King
The king sized mattress is literally what it name implies. Based on its dimensions the standard one
being 76 x 80 it is the king of mattress sizes. Another type under this category, the California King, is
longer where the standard is wider. The California King is 72 x 84 . Either of the king sized mattresses
are easily the largest ones available in the market.
The size allows for more sleeping space for two adults and even a child or two. This is perfect for
couples who have to share a bed but are still craving for enough personal space. However, the large
size means limited mobility. It s going to be a bit difficult to maneuver this mattress along steep stairs
or narrow halls. Sheets and beddings for the king mattress are also the most expensive in the

What Is James Paul Gee Identity As An Analytical Lens For...
In the article Identity as an Analytical Lens for Research in Education James Paul Gee builds up his
thesis based on the idea of a person being identified in a certain setting, can change at every instant,
and in every context, and is controversial and never static. Gee is trying to infer the idea that the
dynamicity of one s identity is very dependent on the reaction to a certain encounter in a particular
circumstance. Gee mentioned the point that identity is ambiguous and unstable. In my opinion the
society is our identity constructor. And the variance of its element (i.e. human being) can make it
easily unstable. Every person has identity which is made up of different variables, contributed by the
society. Being the dependent

  • 2. Bob Koch Case Summary I have concerns about Bob Koch s professionalism, communication skills, willingness to contribute positively to the Mobile Library team and his ability to represent the Pikes Peak Library District favorably while on the Mobiles. Background: The Mobile Library department has 1 full time PSA4 (clerk/driver). The full time PSA4 works 5 days a week. While in the office, the PSA4 is tasked with handling billing and ACES for the department as well as restocking and refreshing the backup collection and handling the weeding reports and pull list. I have spread the responsibility for these tasks to the PSS staff members, but find that they are not getting accomplished in a timely manner. It is in the best interest of our department to have the full time PSA4 complete these tasks, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By moving the full time PSA4 to the city route on Saturday, she gained an extra hour of office time. This time is invaluable to the department as it sets the weekday crew up with restocked shelves, finished pull lists and refreshed backup. Timeline: 7/24/15: Bob is on a Personal Improvement plan. Bob was placed on a PIP because while refueling the Mobile Library, he had a verbal altercation with Acorn s Matt Crick and taped a note to Acorn s card reader that said, Fix this damn thing. (note attached) My major concern is that Bob is unaware he is representing the entire library district while out on the Mobile. 10/25/15: The Mobile Library department had (2) 1.5 hour trainings on writing strategic plans. Bob emails his strategic plan to both Alan and myself with the objective: I hope to maximize my individual talents/creative potential; I hope to entertain patrons on the mobiles by punning, giving Don Rickles style insults, to elicit laughter/humor; I give book talks and ask for feedback on books and movies patrons have enjoyed or did not care for. The King can t quite seem to fathom the fact that a woman like Irene, a woman who is below his class, no longer obsesses over him. Holmes confirms that she might indeed be in love and he states It is true. And yet ! Well! I wish she had been of my own station! What a queen she would have made! . The Cyber Security Risks Report SQLinjection is a kind of attack that occurs through insertion or injection of a SQL query from the input data of the client to the application for repelling the database information even though the database is not directly connected with the internet. Jeff Orieff (2015) explained that the top Cyber Security Risks report revealed that over 60% of the Internet attacks were launched against Web Applications. Many IT Managers, Web Developers, and site owners are not aware of the threats in their web applications.Important changes that took place to the list are its focus being shifted from the top vulnerabilities to top risks. Organizations are aware of the risk, but they lack complete knowledge in the list of methods that describes and explains the risk. SQL Injection works to make the risk much more clear. Two risks were dropped from this update: Malicious File Execution due to tighter PHP security lowering the prevalence of this problem, and Information Leakage and Improper Error Handling because of a zed impact of disclosing stack trace that is minimal and the error message information. The list of attacks that occur from the SQL injection attacks are Injection:SQL Injection flaws are SQL, HTTP header injection, OS command injections. The attacks occur when unauthorized data, query, command or arguments is sent to an interpreter. Vulnerable applications can be triggered because of the unintended arguments or accepting the attacker to access the data and modifying the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Similarities Between First And Second-Wave Feminism Other than the obvious time differences between first and second wave feminism, the real contrasts are found in what it was the women, and men in some cases, were fighting for. First Wave feminists mainly fought for suffrage, while their Second Wave sisters fought for a wider range of women s rights. First wave feminism was brought on by the newly educated female population. Women s experiences under colonization taught them to see themselves as citizens of oppressed nations, and many entered into Nationalist politics on behalf of their beleaguered people. (123) Women activists took an approach of social housekeepers; it was their duty as nurtures of the nation to be involved in education, social work, public health, poverty, and so on. (126) First Wave feminists were concerned with gaining access to vote in elections and on other important matters, they were concerned with gaining access to higher education; they were concerned with temperance, since they were not well protected under the law from, drunk, abusive husbands. ... In the U.S. many activists were fighting for similar issues addressed by the predecessors, however they were able to take things further, since there was a precedent. Instead of just gaining access to higher education, Second Wavers were pushing for Women s Studies classes and departments, and for prominent historical women to be included in academia. Women in the U.S. were also beginning the enduring battle of saving the environment. Second Wave feminists brought internal attention to the problems caused by violence against women and by poor environmental practices. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. European Imperialism Created a Rift with the World European Imperialism created a rift within the world. European powers saw the use of Imperialism, as well justified and a mean of spreading their influence and securing their strength. However the nations which found themselves under rule of an imperialistic power did not share the Europeans view on the favors they were giving. European nations saw themselves fit to divide the uncivilized world, almost in a pie like manner, to be placed under their reign. With this came many mistreatments of indigenous traditions and the people themselves. King Leopold the Second s imperialistic claim on the Congo, and the European attempts at controlling China both exemplify the disaster of Imperialism on the human condition, and the resistance created by the people. Both Africa and Qing China saw itself under the hungry eye of European powers. Meeting and arrangements were created, without the native s knowledge, by European power to subdivide and subjugate these lands for their own purposes, disregarding what the people of these lands desired. Despotism is a legitimate mode of government in dealing with barbarians, provided the end be their improvement. (King Leopolds Ghost, 2) The European powers present at the Berlin Conference of 1884, all saw themselves as a higher state of society, one that possessed a god granted right to control the lands and the people of the less civilized nations. Attempts to Connect in Joyce Carol Oates Shopping Essay Attempts to Connect in Shopping Although Shopping, written by Joyce Carol Oates, is fiction, the story portrays a relationship that represents many parents and children have in real life. The child is growing up and wants to spread her wings. However, the parent usually does not want to let go. Arguments and the awkward silences are frequent. The seemingly useless attempts to connect with the son or daughter are also frequent. Yet, what the child does not realize is that no matter how old she may get, she is still the parent s child. The mother is not going to forget how precious her little baby is, yet that is what the mother does in this story. This implies that at previous times, the conversation ended up in an argument. Nowadays, Mrs. Dietrich just does not say a word, as if she is afraid that an argument could permanently end that mother daughter relationship. This awkwardness is apparent throughout the story and prevents Mrs. Dietrich from opening up to her daughter. Communication is critical if Mrs. Dietrich wants to bond and achieve a close relationship with her daughter. Throughout the story, images of pregnancy occur. These references portraythat intimate relationship between a mother and daughter. Mrs. Dietrich saw herself as a beautiful and rapturous woman when she was pregnant. She knew it would be a girl and that her baby would be herself again, reborn and this time perfect (838). She referred to herself as someone who has failed in life. She saw her daughter as an image of herself, but she did not want her daughter to live a life of failure like her. She hoped her daughter would not grow to become the type of person that she disliked. She wanted her to be perfect . Later in the story, while Nola is looking at herself in the mirror, Mrs. Dietrich again pictures herself as pregnant. She liked how pregnancy seemed to bring everything to the present tense. Mrs. Dietrich longs to have that feeling of when she and her daughter were one again (838 9). At the end, Nola begins to cry when she sees an old disheveled woman. Mrs. Dietrich s ... Hypothyroidism is classically treated by oral replacement with synthetic L thyroxine (levothyroxine). Normalization of TSH levels using levothyroxine therapy can ameliorate the effects of comorbidities in older adults (Hennessey, 2015). It has been shown then there is no added benefit in using combination therapy of levothyroxine and liothyronine (another synthetic thyroid hormone supplement) (Kraut, 2015). L thyroxine (levothyroxine) monotherapy has become the mainstay of treating hypothyroidism and allows more desirable therapy (Jonklaas, 2014). Patients whose serum TSH levels exceed 10 mIU/L are at increased risk for heart failure and cardiovascular mortality, and should be considered for treatment with L thyroxine (Garber, 2012). • 9. Summary Of The Mower Against Garden In The Mower Against Gardens, Andrew Marvell uses a conceit to liken the plants in an English garden to the women of a brothel, exemplifying the theme of man s perversion of nature. Three main metaphors are used, the first being mankind as the brothel owner. The second metaphor is the flowers as prostitutes, and the final metaphor is the flowers offspring as abandoned children. Marvell begins the conceit by introducing mankind as the instigator of corruption. Luxurious man, to bring his vice in use, / Did after him the world seduce (1 2). The use of the word man, instead of mankind, begins the characterization of the male, or the patriarchy as the owner of the brothel, as well as the patrons that keep it in business. Additionally, the speaker uses very charged, sexual language, such as vice and seduction to describe how humans are enchanted by nature s beauty. At the time of writing, in 16th century England, the act of a man visiting a brothel would have been considered a vice, or something that generally considered sinful or negative. However, the act is nonetheless accepted by society as something normal. The speaker then introduces nature as a female entity, which coincides with the perception of Mother Nature. as a female entity. And from the fields the flowers and plants allure, / Where nature was most plain and pure (3 4). The words plain and pure imply that nature, in its original, untouched state, has a sort of purity associated with a virgin maiden. Before coming into contact with man, nature has a pristine and naïve characteristic. However, that will change as soon after man establishes a position of power over nature. Mankind traps nature within the gardens square (5), and he begins to change the plants, presumably by grafting them together or selectively breeding them to produce more desirable and colorful traits. This Garden square, with its dead and standing pool of air (6). could be interpreted as the cramped interior of the brothel where the women are forced to work, with four walls trapping them on every side. Later in the poem, too, the garden is referred to as a green seraglio (27). A seraglio is the women s apartment area of an Ottoman palace. This was an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Does Milgram Study Unethical Milgram on Ethics A Study on Where Milgram Crossed the Line Kyle Froerer Weber State University Upon researching Milgram s study more in depth and weighing the opinions of those who feel it is an ethical study versus those in opposition I add my opinion to those who feel the experiment was an unethical practice. This paper will explain more of why I feel this way. I will also provide four peer reviewed sources supporting my argument. The first reason I find it to be unethical is because of the ways in which subjects were lured into participating in the study. Certain people could say they volunteered but that would require they not be compensated for their efforts in any way. Each participant was financially compensated with $4.50 which is the equivalent of about $25.00 to today s currency (Dollar Times, 2008). Because none of the participants were truly volunteers their actions and subsequent test results must not be considered ethically accurate when comparing them to society in general. Continuing on, the setting in which the participants were observed was a foreign setting all with employing behaviors unique to that of a scientist (Baurimd, 1964). Now, coupling the foreign setting, strange behaviors and the fact they have been paid with the principle of participant obedience, it can be assumed that all these attributes mixed together would result in an overly obedient test subject. Philosopher and novelist Jean Jacques Rousseau has had a significant influence on his belief about childhood and education from the later eighteenth century until the present. • 18. The Impact Of Foreign Policy On International Trade Essay Ever since the first involvement of government in international trade, many people have posed their opinion about what the role of government should be in it. Different factors are involved when it comes to deciding what this should be. It impacts a lot of people, so in order to do that, trade policy must be properly defined, identify what the roles of government currently are, and their involvement in it, and then analyse what should be their role. Trade policy is how a country carries out trade with other countries (Commercial Policy, n.d). Even though a lot of people support government intervention in international trade, countries would benefit a lot more if the government removes protectionism and promotes free trade instead. Trade policy is defined as a collection of rules and regulations that are made by public officials which relate to trade (Trade Policy, 2010). An organisation that makes the rules of trading amongst its member nations is the World Trade Organisation (WTO). They are the ones who handles trade issues, supervises trade policies, gives technical assistance to developing countries and participates with other international trade organisations (World Trade Organisation, n.d). New Zealand is an example of a country that works with the WTO. Due to this, it enables them to have a free trade policy. Trading is essential to New Zealand s economy, as they can only afford the services and goods that they import by selling exports to other countries. Free trade ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 19. Persuasive Essay About Soccer Soccer, also known as football is a sport played by millions all around the world. This is not only a sport, but an activity available to anyone that offers valuable life lessons to those who play. Lessons and skills such as leadership and teamwork, determination, and friendships are a few that I have gotten out of playing soccer. Many people view soccer as a waste of two and a half hours because the game becomes repetitive and predictable. The start off of the game is as follows, one team starts with possession of the ball with the intention is to score a goal, while keeping it away from the other team and vice versa. Watching the sport may seem boring to those who do not play because they don t understand it. People who don t play soccer do not realize the amount of time and effort it takes to excel in this sport, which comes down to the time spent practicing and conditioning. The more hours spent on footwork and physical conditioning, the better you become. This sport can be extremely physical, but it is also a mental game. It is important to be in the right mental state during a game because distraction in the head leads to mistakes on the field. A strong mental state is extremely important in soccer, as well as every day. The ability to multitask proves to be an advantage in the game; when a player has the ball, they need to continue to move, look for open teammates on the field, and maneuver around the opposing team simultaneously. • 20. Public Administration Ethics The roll of ethics in public administration is based on the administration; administrators should be value free when they implement public policy. I will discuss why ethics should be based on the administration and, why it should not be based on each individual worker in the administration. I will discuss Weber s stance on values in bureaucratic organizations, what Macintyre suggests, and what Hummel and Goodsell would conclude about values in public administration. Most people do not understand what an administration deals with everyday on an individual basis. They might think that an administration is supposed to make the best ethical choices, but that is not the case. People who are outside the administration might think that administrators are supposed to use everyday values when implementing policy, but that is also not the case. Ethics are the rules that define moral conduct according to the ideology of a specific group. Moreover, ethics in public administration are important for good business conduct based on the needs of a specific town, state or country. Ethics provide accountability between the public and the administration. Adhering to a code of ethics ensures that the public receives what it needs in a fair manner. It also gives the administration guidelines for integrity in their operations. That integrity, in turn, helps foster the trust of the community. By creating this atmosphere of trust, the administration helps the public understand that they are working with their best interests in mind. The roll that ethics plays in public administration is based on each individual administration. An administration is a business after all and it has to make money to survive in the business world. If all the businesses in public administration based ethics on each individual worker than his or her administration would not survive. Imagine if you were an individual working for the state dealing with welfare for a citizen. Anatomy and Function of Skin: The Human skin is the largest single organ of the body, with a surface area of one to two square meters and accounts for approximately 16% of total body weight. It protects the body as an outer barrier from external pathogenic factors and excessive water loss. The skin is composed of three main layers: the epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis or subcutaneous layer1,2. Epidermis: The epidermis is the outermost layer of mammalian skin and contains four types of cells: keratinocytes, which make up 90% of the cells found in this layer, Langerhans cells, melanocytes, and Merkel cells. Routes of skin penetration: There are two diffusional routes to penetrate into human skin: the transappendageal and the transepidermal routes. The transappendageal route or so called the skin shunts comprises transport via hair follicles, sweat ducts and sebaceous glands. There is relatively small surface area (approximately less than 0.1% of total surface) for this route and may be of some importance for ionic molecules or large polar compounds. In addition, the relative surface area of the shunts in different areas of the body may be various. For instance, in the scalp, the density and size of hair follicles are much greater than in other location on the skin such as on the back12. The transepidermal pathway is principally responsible for diffusion across the skin. This route can be defined as the pathway where compounds permeate across the stratum corneum by using two different passages: the transcellular and the intercellular13,14. The intercellular pathway is generally regarded as the main route of permeation of most compounds and provides a significant route by enhancing interaction with lipid remains in the corneocytes. Biscuit products that are being sold in Fiji market are well differentiated through different packagings and manufacturer brand names (Punjas, n.d.). Consumers in Fiji do not show loyalty towards any particular products, this is because Fiji has low GDP and income per capita. • 30. Economic Distress On France s Regressive Taxation System Furthermore, economic distress was furthered upon France s regressive taxation system where evidence suggests it caused the Third Estate to be deprived of food and drove many to the brink of starvation which in turn led to social unrest. One possible interpretation of the taxation system in place is that of Jacques Necker who condemned it as a real monstrosity in the eyes of reason . Necker s criticisms of the taxation system can be seen by the proportion of tax levied on the Third Estate who had to pay a tenth of their income to the state and a 5% property tax called the vingtième which was a tax on the number of people in the family. The long term implications of these taxes were brutal to the Third Estate as agricultural yields were declining yet taxes were growing steadily higher. This is arguably something King Louis XVI has to take responsibility for as he aggravated the situation with his excessive spending with total disregard of France s fiscal problems as he ordered to build Versailles with gold decorations; this unnecessary spending furthered the debt, equally Marie Antoinette s unwarranted spending led to anger among the Third Estate. Whilst it can certainly be argued the excessive spending of the monarch was not a direct cause of the economic problems thus blame cannot be entirely placed on Louis XVI as those before him, Louis XIV and Louis XV also spent excessive amounts, as they were accustomed to this style of living. It is impossible to say which precedes which; does the external world that is clearly and vividly see, show the tangible object that mirrors the mood? It is poetry that has an inherent tendency towards pan psychism; the feeling that soul and nature pervades all which is close. M.H. • 38. Schindler s List Of The Holocaust Essay Schindler s List was one of the first critically acclaimed Holocaust films in the United States. Director Steven Spielberg set out to make a historically accurate film about Oskar Schindler, portrayed by Liam Neeson, and his Jews. It has been over 20 years since the film s release and Schindler s List continues to reign supreme when it comes to Holocaust films. However, this is not to say that the film has not been without controversy specifically surrounding the film s historical accuracy. While often hailed for its accuracy, it would be inaccurate to imply the film is completely correct. Spielberg sacrifices historical accuracy numerous times for the sake of manipulating the audience and telling the Holocaust story that he believes should be told, a story that puts Schindler in the forefront while the Jews take a backseat. The historical inaccuracies of the film led to the assumption that Schindler s List is less about the Jews and the Holocaust and more about Schindler, making the film to be more of a biopic. The portrayal of Jews in Schindler s List has been critiqued and remained problematic since the film was released in 1993. Per Spielberg, Schindler s List was supposed to be a Jewish film that was by Jews, about Jews, and for Jews to use against non Jews. However, the film often missed the mark to show this. The monuments achieve this significance with the particular choices made around their erection: their style and design, emplacement, and scale. In Ostend, the gigantic statue depicts a triumphant Leopold on horseback, with a crowd of his adulating subjects (both Congolese and Belgians) at his feet. It is strategically placed on the sea promenade, is very almost aggressively high and can thus be seen from far away. Yet, public statuary can also encourage demonstrations of resistance: in 2004 a group of local anarchists called De Stoeten Ostendenoare symbolically sawed the hand of a Congolese among the statue complex in order to denounce the abuses committed by the colonial regime (such as the severing of hands in this case) and the role played by the King in the Congo. • 41. Career Research Essay I feel sorry for the person who can t get genuinely excited about his work. Not only will he never be satisfied, but he will never achieve anything worthwhile (Walter Chrysler). Deciding on what one wants to be in life can prove to be a demanding task. There are so many, yet limited, different opportunities in the world to have an excellent career and make a decent living while doing something one loves. It is limited because there are only a few specific career paths that someone could take to make good money. It is very difficult to make a fulfilling living being a garbage man. Right now I have to decide which job path would be the best one to take, counseling or civil engineering. Through the research shown below, I received an overwhelming amount of information on every little detail of these jobs. Psychology Few fields of study offer more career opportunities than does psychology (Sternburg 3). There are a wide selection of specialties a person could go into with a bachelor s degree in psychology. In graduate school, which is a must to attend, there is the option to explore the different specialities or to go into the desired specialty without any research of the others. There are also many options within a specific specialty. There is the option to be a teacher, to work for various organizations, be a speaker, to have your own practice, and many others. In the psychology field these options can all be combined. In fact it is expected of psychologists to do more activities involving their specialty than solely sit in an office and listen to patients. There are two specialities that I am interested in however, over the years, these specialties have become very similar. Clinical and counseling psychology have evolved to become one in the same. • 42. Oxidative Stress Module ten discussed oxidative stress, and the causes, as well as consequences of liver disorders. Oxidative stress occurs when there is an abnormal balance between nonspecific oxidation reactions, and the body s ability to counteract them. A nonspecific oxidation reaction refers to one that involves free radicals reacting in a disorderly fashion with other molecules. Free radicals are highly reactive molecules that can cause cellular damage, targeting that of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. Free radicals within the body can lead to fragmentation of proteins causing them to have an abnormal function, oxidize polysaturated lipids at their double bond causing disruption in the membrane function, and cause mutations in DNA. Antioxidants react directly with free radicals in the body to render them inactive. Some antioxidant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Glutathione and uric acid are antioxidants that are made by the cells. Glutathione performs most of its antioxidant activity within the cell, while uric acid does most of its antioxidant activity in the blood plasma. The antioxidants, which can be obtained from the diet, include vitamin C, vitamin E, carotenoids and selenium. The liver disorders discussed were that of a fatty liver and alcoholic liver disease. A fatty liver is a disorder that is characterized by the accumulation of triglycerides within liver cells, causing the liver to enlarge up to three times its normal size. The accumulation of triglycerides in the liver will cause the liver to have a yellow appearance. A fatty liver can be caused several ways, such as obesity, protein energy malnutrition, metabolic disorders, and chronic alcohol consumption. The treatment for a fatty liver depends on the cause for the fatty liver. For example, if a fatty liver is caused by chronic alcohol consumption, then the patient would need to stop consuming alcohol in order to reverse the damage. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Biodegradable Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery Review: Biodegradable Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery Introduction With the many innovations in the disciplines of nanotechnology and drug delivery their merger is a very advantages strategy transport of small molecular weight drugs and macromolecules for localized or targeted delivery to the tissue of interest [1]. Nanotechnology will provided an outlet for conveying therapeutic agents in biocompatible nanocomposites such as nanoparticles, nanocapsules, micellar systems, and conjugates. With the rewards of the nano scale and interactions of these delivery systems, remedies can be used to provide targeted delivery of drugs, to improve oral bioavailability, to sustain drug/gene effect in target tissue, to solubilize drugs for intravascular delivery, and to improve the stability of therapeutic agents against enzymatic degradation, especially of protein, peptide, and nucleic acids drugs [1]. By tailoring polymer qualities, on can specify design factors that can control the release of therapeutic agents to provide excellent targeting for optimal efficacy. The ability to theses distant destinations, nanoparticles are led by bio specific ligand which could direct them to the target tissue. The prime emphasis on the review will be the mechanism of their intracellular uptake, different pathways of their uptake, intracellular trafficking and sorting into different intracellular compartments, and the mechanism of enhanced therapeutic efficacy of the nanoparticle encapsulated ... Even though they have had many members, they have made a huge impact in the heavy metal genre. They were hugely influenced by two of the most popular and well known heavy metal bands of all time. Judas Priest was influenced by Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Both Black Sabbath and Judas Priest came from Birmingham, and were heavily influenced by the factories and bleak surroundings of the area (Bowe 26). In 1973, Al Atkins and Chris Campbell left the band because they weren t happy with the band s lack of money. Sue Halford mentioned her brother, Rob Halford, as an exchange for Al, welcoming him into the band soon after (Bowe 33). This seemed to turn things around for Judas Priest. In 1978, the band began to change up their look. Instead of satin bloused, bell bottoms, and wide brimmed hats, they wore black leather and metal studs (Bowe 40). After the release of Hell Bent for Leather in 1979, they brought in handcuffs and whips, completing their look. After this, many heavy metal bands had began to take on the look as well (Bowe 42). CREEM magazine decided to put Judas Priest on the cover in August 1981 (Bowe 47). Judas Priest s only concert appearance was a huge charity concert in Philadelphia and London in 1985 to help people in Africa that were starving, and the name of this organization was Live Aid. In that same year, many heavy metal artists got criticized for their lyrics (Bowe 53). From all the stress of the Reno trial and constant touring and recording, Rob Halford wanted a break from the band, officially leaving in 1992. This caused a long, messy fight between him and the other band members (Bowe 63). Then in 1994, Glenn Tipton started his own career (Bowe 64). • 45. The Tradition Of The Century Viking Wars 1. Many of the Air Force s customs, traditions, and procedures are traceable to the earliest warriors. The dining in is one such military tradition that has its roots in the distant past. The pre Christian Roman Legions probably began the dining in tradition. Roman military commanders frequently held great feasts to honor individuals and military units. These get togethers were victory celebrations where past feats were remembered and loot of new conquests paraded. The second century Viking war lords stylized the format of the victory feast. With the exception of the lookout, or watch, the entire clan attended these celebrations. Feats of strength and skill were performed to entertain the members and guests. The leader took his place at the head of the table, with all others to his right and left in descending order of rank. 2. The dining in custom was transplanted to ancient England by Roman and Viking warriors, and King Arthur s Knights of the Round Table practiced a form of dining in in the sixth century. The tradition eventually spread to non military groups, such as the Saxon nobles of the tenth century and the medieval monasteries. The monks, who followed a more rigid regimen, had their form of dining in as an integral part of monastic life. The clergy spread the custom to the academies and universities. The British officer corps, with many graduates of these centers of learning, carried the tradition back to military units. The dining in became increasingly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 47. Cyber Deterrence And Its Impact On Western Europe What is Cyber Deterrence? Merriam Webster defines deterrence as the act of making someone decide not to do something or the act of preventing a particular act or behavior from happening (Merriam Webster, 2015) . This can be applied to the cyber realm in the sense that we need to deter terrorists, state actors and non state actors from attempting attacks on U.S. networks. To understand how to apply cyber deterrence we have to look at past policies or theories on deterrence. Deterrence theory first appeared as part of the West s containment strategy in Europe, which aspired to keep the Soviet Union confined to Eastern Europe and to prevent it from gaining control of Western Europe (Kugler, 2014). If the Soviets decided to invade Western Europe with the intentions to drive to the English Channel, the United States could launch a nuclear attack not only on Soviet troops but on the Soviet homeland as well. The strategy was aimed at deterring conventional attack on Western Europe by convincing the Soviet government that an invasion would not succeed and that the Soviet Union faced unacceptable risks: if it made such an attack, it would suffer losses that far exceeded any benefits that it might hope to gain (Kugler, 2014). Around the 1960s the deterrence strategy began to change. The Soviet Union began to develop nuclear tipped ICBMs (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) that could reach U.S. soil in a timely manner. This could undermine the precarious logic of deterrence by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Analysis Of The Movie If I Die The war in Vietnam was unlike many wars that the United States has become involved in with military action. The Vietnam War is one that the United States had no direct reason to become a part of the conflict. Even though we weren t directly attacked by Vietnam to initiate American involvement in the war, the leadership of the American government, at the time, thought it was necessary for the United States to get involved to help stop the spread of communism. Many people disagreed with the decision to go to war in Vietnam and one of those people who vocalized his opposition was Tim O Brien. As we see in the book If I Die in a Combat Zone , Tim O Brien is extremely critical of the war in Vietnam. Tim views himself as a coward for participating in a war that he saw as unjust. It is very evident why he thinks this way as he doesn t think going to war is the answer to the problems that are facing Vietnam. He does not see it as a means to prevent the spread of communism to other countries. O Brien sees the war as unethical and unwarranted for the simple reason that Vietnam was basically at war with itself. It was a civil war contained within Vietnam. The United States decided to send troops abroad to deal with a situation of civil unrest that did not directly impact American citizens. His opinion was that the US government had no business getting involved in the affairs of another country especially when it put United States citizens in danger unnecessarily. O Brien ... Someone who wasn t afraid was Amelia Earhart. She did something no one else had done or attempted to do before. Amelia Earhart, daring and outgoing from the start of her life, achieved many things, which is why she should be remembered because, indeed, flying is what ended her life. Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1898, in Atchison, Kansas. Around 1907, her whole family moved to Des Moines, Iowa. Amelia was a full out tomboy during her whole childhood. She once slid a sled off a barn roof, calling it a roller coaster. She also played all the sports that, normally, only boys played like football and basketball. During the summer of 1907, Amelia s dad, Edwin, took her and her sister, Muriel, to the Des Moines State Fair. Edwin was really attracted to the model airplane at the fair. On the other hand, Muriel and Amelia, surprisingly, were unamused. They just thought the plane was boring. (Lardner, 205 207). In 1917, Amelia and her mother took a trip to Toronto, Canada, even though, there was a war happening. Amelia saw wounded soldiers on her left and right. She knew she had to help in some way. So, she stayed in Toronto and became a nurse s aid. This began her path down the medical and nursing road. After the war, Amelia started premedical nursing school in New York. (Lardner, 207). In the article Identity as an Analytical Lens for Research in Education James Paul Gee builds up his thesis based on the idea of a person being identified in a certain setting, can change at every instant, and in every context, and is controversial and never static. Gee is trying to infer the idea that the dynamicity of one s identity is very dependent on the reaction to a certain encounter in a particular circumstance. Gee mentioned the point that identity is ambiguous and unstable. In my opinion the society is our identity constructor. And the variance of its element (i.e. human being) can make it easily unstable. Every person has identity which is made up of different variables, contributed by the society. Being the dependent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
