The aim of the investigation was to find out the effect of alcohol on the heart rate of

experiments which were all carried out using the same procedure but varying the
alcohol concentration of the solution. To investigate how alcohol concentration

of 7 minutes. This included 1 minute before submersion in alcohol, 3 minutes during
submersion in alcohol and 3 minutes after submersion in alcohol. I then found the
percentage decrease of the heartbeat of the Daphnia from the resting heart rate. At the
highest concentration of ethanol solution, 1x10 1gcm 3 the greatest percentage
decrease of heart rate was 86.5%. The results in general show that increasing the
concentration of alcohol decreases the heartbeat of the Daphnia lower.

The Atomic Weight Of The Unknown Barium Carbonate
In this lab experiment, an unknown metal carbonate went through a chemical
reaction with 1.0 M barium chloride, forming products of barium carbonate and an
alkali metal chloride. The unknown alkali metal carbonate also went through a
chemical reaction with 1 M hydrochloric acid, forming an alkali metal chloride, with
liquid water, and carbon dioxidegas as products. A final flame test was done to
reveal what the unknown alkali metal was. Once all molar masses were calculated,
the masses were extremely varied, ranging from 37.061 grams per mol to 133.110
grams per mol. When the flame test was performed, yellow orange colored flames
appeared, revealing that the unknown alkali metal carbonate was sodium carbonate.
The purpose of this experiment was to use different type of tests to determine the
atomic weight for the unknown alkali metal carbonate along with determining
which alkali metal it is. The first test consisted of reacting the aqueous metal
carbonate with barium chloride in a precipitation reaction [1 M2(CO3) + 1 BaCl2

around the issue of whether this is an ethical practice or not. This debate calls for a
number of questions to be answered. For starters, can unethical practice be justified
if it is for the greater good? More specifically, should the elimination of individuals
rights be accepted if success is to be achieved from these programs. In order to gain
insight into answering these questions, Community Treatment Orders need to be

out terms under which a person must accept psychiatric drugs, therapy, and other

By doing so, they are given the opportunity for social inclusion and to be part of a

operation today supports the idea that change is needed in society. From a political
perspective, they are enforced by governments in order to help those who are most
vulnerable, to remedy discrimination, and protect the general public (Russell, 2011).
As wholehearted as these goals may be in theory, the fact remains that the intended
results are not being achieved and civil liberties are being infringed upon.
Those opposing the use of CTO s are influenced by three reasons to support their
position. The first reason deals with the current evidence base. For starters,
international research literature has found no strong evidence on the positive or
negative effects of CTO s on three key outcomes. These outcomes are hospital
readmissions, length of hospital stay, and patients quality of life (Lawton Smith et al,
2008) Furthermore, a 36 month study of 198 patients concluded that CTO s do not
prevent relapse and readmission of psychiatric inmates with severe and enduring
mental illnesses . The study showed that results were in line with the current national
use (Rugkasa, Yeeles, Koshiaris, Burns, 2016). Analysis of these results shows that
there is no compelling reason for CTO s to continue to exists, given the lack of
improvement that they provide.

The contractile unit of a muscle cell is the sarcomere. Sarcomeres are mostly
comprised of actin and myosin which pull and slide upon each other. These

tendon tear on a microscopic level happening on the inside of the muscle. Due to this

are held to high expectations though, the majority of cyborgs are partially human.
The antagonist, Cinder, is a cyborgwho struggles with these divides between people.

Jem and Scout know that something is wrong, otherwise he wouldn t have sent them
back inside. They start to worry about Atticus. They know something is about to
happen, they can t do anything about. This is an apprehensive form of tension, when
someone is worried by something that is going to happen.
Secondly, when Atticus returns to the house after his confrontation with Heck Tate
and the others, the atmosphere is tense because Scout and Jem want to know what
happened outside. They were going to get you, weren t they? . This adds to the
