Richard II Tragic Hero Essay
Shakespeare really wrote tragedies of great heights and earned standard category. His one of the
best creation Richard II is a historical play rather being a tragedy. The history play is usually
distinguished especially by its political purposes from other kinds of plays.shakespeare emphasized
the political issue mainly in this play. He tried to show the conflict between Richard and
Bolingbroke and finally the rebellion. The play is consequently written not about the down fall of
its hero but around the chronological stages by which Bolingbroke threatens, captures, and retains
the crown. Throughout a tragedyplay readers suffer with the hero and feel sympathy for the hero

(Elliott. History and Tragedy in Richard II).
According to my point of view, Richard II is not a complete tragic hero. He did not have the
qualities of a real tragic hero though he was from a high ststus and died at last. He was not a
good person, a foolish king, a weak and unwise politician, irresponsible self centered person. He
misused his power, increased taxes to accomplish his luxury expenses, took wrong decision,
murderer of his uncle, in a word, he was an unworthy leader.
From the earlier scene Richard II is devoid of for anyone. Through the quarrel between
Bolingbroke and Mowbray, Richard takes advantage to get rid of the crime of murder his uncle
Gloucester.Rather trying to solve the conflict he tried to hide his crime by banishing them.
Richard s inability to make peace between Bolingbroke and Mowbray is sometimes seen as an
indication of his weakness proposed by Tillyard, Campbell, and Ribner. (Elliott. History and

The Loudest Voice Paley Summary
The Loudest Voice is a short story about the struggles of a girl who faces the battle of an overly
controlling parent. The author, Grace Paley, argues that Shirley should be in control of her own
life. Shirley is invited to narrate a Christmas themed play. This goes against her mom s religious
beliefs, which leads to arguments between Shirley s parents because her father disagrees. Her
father argues that Shirley should have freedom of choice in her actions, while her mother argues
that Shirley does not know what s right yet. In the end, Shirley acts in the play. Ms. Paley shows
that Shirley has freedom of choice, but it comes at a cost. The central theme of the story is
Shirley has to decide whether she chooses change vs. tradition. Shirley s mom is conflicted by the
thought of having her Jewish daughter be anywhere near the school s Christian play. She is a
Jewish immigrant who has worked so hard to get where she is today. Shirley was chosen because
she had the loudest voice, but Shirley s mom does not want her to participate because it will
influence her into a Christian mindset. She doesn t want her Jewish daughter to forget her Jewish
heritage and traditions.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

happy that she is in control for once, even the teacher acknowledges her sense of control. Shirley
has her issues, her friends are strangers in New York, Shirley can t speak English well like the rest
of the Jewish children she even has to narrate carefully during the play. But in the end the reader

Security Enhancement Strategies And Strategies
VI.SECURITY ENHANCEMENT STRATEGIES:
Some of the strategies and defensive measures that can be incorporated in the cloud environment to
overcome the threats and challenges mentioned in the above section are as follows.
In order to provide protection to the computer system and to the network, Intrusion Detection
System (IDS) could be employed, which will detect hostile activities in the host or network and
generates alerts to provide notifications regarding such malicious intrusions. IDS also has the ability
to distinguish between attacks initiated by hackers outside an organization and attacks that starts
from within an organization due to a malicious user. Augmenting the IDS with an impartial third
party device for monitoring would be preferable, since the intrusion alerts will be sent to cloud
service providers, which is not completely reliable, in comparison to the traditional method in which
the alerts are sent to an administrator.
Host based IDS (HIDS) captures the communication traffic, whereas the Network based IDS
(NIDS) watches over the network traffic packets, based on which system integrity and detection of
unauthorized contact with the computer network can be ensured. Although HIDS exhibits weaker
real time response, it has a strong capability to detect insider attacks by monitoring the state of the
host system and its dynamic characteristics.
Both host and network based intrusions could be detected to some extent using an Anomaly based
IDS. In this, a

One of the biggest decisions for a new mom is whether or not she will breast feed her newborn.
This decision will not only impact the mother but it will also have many great affects on the baby.
In the media we only see advertisements about formula which costs more money and is artificial.
Why is it that the most natural source of food for our baby s does not have the same kind of
attention, if not more? Nurses need to help spread the awareness of the major differences between
formula and breastfeedingto help higher the rates of breastfeeding, The purpose of this paper is to

Mothers who are thinking of breastfeeding may feel that they are being judged when they feed
their baby in public because some people think that it is not appropriate for mothers to
breastfeed in public. According to Yimyam and Hanpa (2013), In order to promote breastfeeding
practices among employed mothers, workplace interventions must be designed using multiple
levels of influence including employee, employer and workplace. In order for a new mom to
feel comfortable breastfeeding, she needs to feel comfortable everywhere she goes especially
her workplace. The employers should allow the breastfeeding employee to take breaks when
needing to pump and should provide a fridge so they can store the milk somewhere safe. The
workplace should also have somewhere clean and private for the woman to go to pump her milk.
Also if the employer makes it known to the whole company that they support having breastfeeding
zones then all of the other employees will be more accepting to it. This will allow the
breastfeeding employee to feel more comfortable and will most likely allow her to breastfeed
longer. Changing how the workplace views breastfeeding will help postpartum mothers to
breastfeed longer and promote others to choose

Avatar Film Analysis
Most of the science fiction works contain a crucial message that the writer wishes to convey to the
viewers. There are two categories of film message, one is positive and the other is negative. A
positive message is one that is expected to have favourable outcome to the audience, and
continuously aiming to promote better societal changes. In contrast, a negative message is one that
could deliver threats or unpleasant information to the audience, which could have significant
impact on the normal order of the society. This essay will argue that if the message contains
positive elements, then it is not a bad sign to embed science fiction works with a message. First,
this essay will suggest that the well integrated message within a particular... Show more content on

In addition, the film focus mainly on a human protagonist name Jake, and narrate his transformation
from a human to an alien, which is done through a human developed technology that injects
human DNA into the alien bodies. After Jake s transformation, the scene opens another implicit
message: aliens are to be forcibly removed from their planet to create space for human activity
(Veracini, 2011, p. 357). For the climax part of the film, the director establishes a passage that
describes Jack becoming a native of Pandora, and the director again aims to introduce the audience
with a message saying that human power against corporate force as to conserve our natural
environment. This message seemingly gives audience a wonderful twist of the plot and is quite
thought provoking for the audience. Hence, when a film includes well integrated messages, it adds
another layer of quality to the entire plot whereby all the elements of the plot becomes more
meaningful, and the general audience could be attuned with the rhythm of the film because there is
a logical flow from one scene to the next.
Moreover, the positive messages embedded in science fiction works can have powerful influence
on the audience and the society, both locally and globally. In particular, most of the messages
embedded are prompted by the past events of world history or by the contemporary social
phenomena, and

Answer: Distillation is a method for separating a liquid from a solid or from another liquid in
which the liquid is boiled off and then recondensed (Yee, n.d., Distilliation). It works because the
substance you are looking to distill is boiled off recondensed and separated. It can be used to
purify liquids from solids or from other liquids (Yee, n.d., Distillation).
(b) (2 pts) Describe the apparatus and setup for a distillation. Include all components.
Answer: The distillation apparatus consists of a round bottom flask connected through an adapter
to a condenser, which is connected through another adapter to a second round bottom flask (Yee,

Trying to Understand Bundling
Bundling: Bundling is a term that refers to the process of transportation of goods belonging to
various flows in a common vehicle intermodal unit such as truck, train or barge or other segments
during part of their journey. As a result, this process is a major business of the transportation sector
given that operators occasionally examine their service networks and change their bundling
operations. The adjustments made in bundling operations are usually a reaction to changing cost
structures, situations, and competition with regards to the requirements of demand and
performance. During the adjustments, the operators basically change the bundling type, extent of
network concentration, frequency of service, vehicle load, and utilized physical means
(Kreutzberger, 2010, p.160). Generally, the major factors for adjustments are changes in flow
directions and sizes and the operator s share in the market. According to market players in the
maritime transport, inland logisticsare one of the most significant segments still enhancing economic
signals in order to add value and enhance profitability. Bundling is regarded as one of the most
probable solutions on ways to enhance the intermodal transportand could also improve
competitiveness. As a result, the concept or process enables resolving suitable intermodal
conditions since it can be utilized in situations where container flows are not economically
adequate to meet the needs of a direct service. Bundling process is

The director of the film has many different techniques to utilize; actors, camera shots, location,
properties, sound, music, light. Compared to the way John Steinbeck wrote the book, Gary Sinise
interpreted the novel very differently. John Steinbeck s novel is sequential, but Sinise chose to
ignore this.
The writer in contrast, has only words to make their special effects. John Steinbeck uses a

building here as the music swells. The next shot is of George and Lennie hiding in the reeds,
medium cuts to close up, we can see the big man, George, is keeping his head down in disguise
so no one can see him. At this point there are constant inter cuts, it looks like the two men are
hoping for an escape, the music recedes temporarily. The next shot is the men and their horses
and dogs again, looking for something they can t find, perhaps something like George and
Lennie. George and Lennie are still hidden in the water, there is a low angle shot used here, and
a close up of them two. The figures start to become very tiny, and all the voices start to fade
away. There is a long shot of camera use here. There is a different type of music played here; the
music is also starting to fade away now, into the background and then gradually the light starts to
fade away and the atmosphere becomes pitch black. All you can hear is the sounds of trains passing
over the railway tracks, dramatic music playing increases sense of tension, piano, violins, strings,
and this slowly introduces the theme.

debate. For the first time the various elements of anti colonial and anti racial movements were
brought to the forefront and discussed in the public light. Dubois led the 1st Pan African congress,
which took place in Paris 1919, to discuss racial discrimination against colored troops stationed in
France after WW1.
The next major landmark in the history of Pan Africanism was the 1945 Manchester Pan
Africanism Conference. For the first time the congress did not ask for recognition or favors from
European powers. They unequivocally demanded an end to colonialism in Africa, in addition to
demands for social justice and rights. All schemes of half freedom were rejected. The Manchester
Congress gave an impetuous to the goal of achieving national independence. The next conference
was in Ghana, this was a

Why Men Still Can t Have It All By Richard Dorment
In the essay Why Men Still Can t Have It All by Richard Dorment, the topic of equality in the
genders is explored. This topic includes various aspects of the lives of men and women, including
work in and out of the home. Dorment responds to other opinions and viewpoints and explains why
no one can have it all. He brings up many convincing arguments that show why the feminist push
for equals rights for women is not producing the outcome that people want it to have. I agree with
what much of Dorment is saying in this essay, and the following paragraphs will explain Dorment s
argument.
To start the essay, Dorment asks the question of whether it is better to be born a boy or a girl in
today s society. He says it is a toss up, and gives a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here, Dorment says that one s feelings cannot be used as evidence of an injury. He also gives an
example from his own life. He and his wife share laundry duty, but when he folds the laundry, his
wife does it again. When he asks why she does this, she tells him he folds the laundry wrong. He
makes the point that women want to be helped and supported more around the house, but tell men
that they are doing things wrong. I can see where Dorment is coming from with these points. In
today s society, people base too many arguments on feelings, instead of facts, truth, and evidence.
The feelings of expectations for the house are not men s fault, nor are men the cause for women s
hardship in this area.
Men and women also have different opinions and reactions to leaving the house for work, Dorment
says. Men today want to be better fathers than men in previous generations, men still feel like they
have to provide for the family, even if they have wives that bring in forty five percent of the
family income (Dorment 709). This is why men feel as though they can work long hours away
from home. They feel as though they are sacrificing time with their kids to provide for the family
(even though they may still miss their kids). Women, Dorment points out, have a different reaction
to leaving their kids to go to work. They feel guilty and experience

Wild Prairie Fires Research
Upon reviewing how frequently historical wildfires have burned near my home (Fire Regime
2017) I had found that my home area fell between the fire regime group 1 and 2. These regimes
have a 0 35 year frequency of wildfires occurring with surface fires being the most common. This
is due to the fact that the area around my home is made up of mainly 20% herb and tree cover.
Most of the wildfire in my area are made up of prairie fires which have an important role in
healthy ecosystems near me. Wild prairie fires can introduce some benefit for the prairie
ecosystems near my home. To start wild prairie fires can help decrease the invasion of trees from

The Sociological Theories Of Gender Development In Society
Socialization happens over our interactions; however, it is not as simple as it may seem. A
gender system occurs in every society. It is all about of all the ideas of female and male that are
in a certain place at a certain time and all the values as regards who decides what, who does what,
and how we feel ourselves and one another, mutually and independently. For this reason, there are
too many genderresearchers that study how we construct our life (for example, how we think,
feel, interpret, etc.). Researches who came up with some theories about gender development, and
we will be explaining them in this essay. According to the book Gendered lives by Julia T. Wood,
a theory is a way to describe, explain, and predict relationships among phenomena. She also
explains that each of us uses theories to make sense of our live, to guide our attitudes and actions,
and to predict other s behavior(Julia T Wood, 37). With this intention, researches came up with four
classifications of gender development and behaviors theories: biological, interpersonal, cultural and
critical. Biological theories of gender maintain that biological characteristics such as chromosomes,
hormonal activities and brain specialization account for gender differences (Julia T. Wood, 38). In
other words, gender is determined by chromosomes and hormones. In fact, hormonal activity plays
a big roll in gender development. For example, there is a study made by Quadango et al. (1977)
that found that female

Forest Fires In North America
All around the world, environments are constantly changing. Forest fires take part in the way our
environment change and although an increase in forest fires in North America can negatively affect
some species, it provides opportunities for many others. Certain species have found ways to adapt
and thrive in forestfires while others need fire for reproductive success. Forest fires also promote
diversity and a healthy ecosystem. The longer term one looks, the more opportunities can be
seen for species to evolve through forest fires. Although many people believe forest fires
negatively affect species, forest fires help to keep a healthy ecosystem and promote diversity.
When a forest fire occurs, it kills many plants and animals. When older plants and animals are
killed in a forest fire, it allows the forest to be reborn again. It gives opportunities for new plants,
fungi and other organisms to recolonize the land. Also, ashes that remain after a fire contain lots of
nutrients for incoming trees and other vegetation. Fires often burn through and destroy the lower
branches of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A disease such as a bark beetle infestation can destroy the part of the tree that transfers nutrients
throughout the tree. Forest fires kill these pests and some other infected trees which will give
other healthy trees the opportunity to be nourished by the burned vegetation that contains
nutrients. It also eliminates the number of pests that can infest these trees. Forest fires also allow
for new habitats to be formed. Forest animals take shelter in wildlands, and often can get covered
in heavy brush. A fire will clear all that away and leave room for new shrubs and grasses. When
heavy shrubs are removed from a fire, water supply is increased. This increased water supply can
benefit different types of plants and animals that now inhabit that

Wu Zetian Perpetual Footprint on China Essay
Over a span of several decades, Wu Zetian inalterably changed life in China for woman as well
the clergy and the poor. By doing so, she left a perpetual footprint on China s long history that
transcends the mere fact that she was the first woman to rule the Red Dragon . Wu Zetian was
originally known as Wu Chao, born in 625 in Taiyuan in northern China. She adopted Wu Zetian
when she seized the Chinese throne in 660. Wu Zetian was a beautiful young woman... (Knight

the first dragon lady and the lone woman to act thus in Chinese imperial history. During her reign,

She has previously become the empress dowager (the widow of the emperor with the power
over all of his property), then the regent (the substitute for the emperor). However, after the
emperor Gaozong suffered a stroke in 660, Wu seized the real power within China. Wu s slyness
resulted in the exile of members of the royal family that were heirs to the throne and in at least
in one case, to be poisoned (Li Hong). She also had made sure that her late husband Gaozong s
provision in his will that she ascend to the throne became a reality when her third son appointed
her Heir Apparent. She ruled the dynasty on behalf of Gaozong and her son for about three
decades. In 684, Wu s son, Li Zhe, ascended to the Imperial throne, assuming the name Zhongzong.
When it became apparent that Zhongzong would be under greater influence of his wife Wei than
his mother, Wu had him exiled after reducing his title to Prince of Luling. She then had her
youngest son Li Dan made emperor Ruizong whereupon she became both the substantive and actual
ruler. In 690, Empress Wu assumed the title of emperor for herself the lone woman to act as
emperor in Chinese imperial history thereby finally facilitating the great improvement in China that
Wu s legacy left for women, the Buddhist clergy and the classes less fortunate than the aristocracy.

Unfair and Cruel Treatment During the Great Depression in...
To Kill A Mockingbird depicts the daily occurrences in Maycomb County, an Alabama town in
Southern USA. The story is set in the 1930s, when the people are mostly poor as a result of The
Great Depression. Set in a time before the implementation of racial and sexual equality, the story
provides insight on the mentality of the county people and their discriminative practices, which
are aggravated by their difficult financial situation. Maycomb County is a white peoples town;
the black community live on the outskirts of the town. Racism is so rampant that people do not

This shows how Judge Taylor wants to maintain Tom Robinson s rights. With his every will and
resource, Atticus attempts to provide Tom with the most just form of defence, meriting his
honest and non discriminating behaviour. He does this while he is aware of the opposition and
downgrading he will face. Word of the rape soon spread out, and the people of Maycomb County
are out for justice . Mr Cunningham, a man under the legal aids of Atticus, leads a furious mob
with the intention to lynch Tom Robinson for his alleged crime, without even considering his
innocence. This is does not only indicate the unfairness of the social system because a white man
being accused of the same crime would not face such torment but is also cruel as the idea
involves torture and death. The men never end up lynching Tom, but his nightmares are not over.
As Tom is brought to trial, it is obvious from the start that he has no hopes in winning. Being in
the presence of an all white male jury, it is clear that they have already convicted him purely
because of his race, proving the unfairness of the judicial system. Segregation between the two
races is clearly seen in the courtroom; the black attendees are placed on the court balcony away
from the whites that sit comfortably in the superior courtroom. On the witness stand, Tom Robinson
admits to have been in the Ewell s residential premise, but declares that his presence was merely to

Just a few short decades ago, bureaucratic authoritarian (BA) regimes were a common feature of
many Southern Cone states. Economic crises in the 1960s and 1970s gave rise to military regimes
that ultimately abandoned import substituting, inward looking developmental models in favor of
neoliberal, outward looking strategies (Kurtz, 142). Market liberalization and participation in the
global economy became state priorities, a significant departure from policies that focused on
production for the domestic market under more leftist regimes. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the effects

Unicorn Tapestry Research Papers
The Hunt of the Unicorn (1495 1505), also know as The Unicorn Tapestry, is a series of seven
tapestries depicting the hunt, capture, and killing of a unicorn. Because each tapestry is
different their size varies, ranging from 368 x 378 cm. to 368 x 261 cm. Through out the series
of tapestries, the colors of the tapestry are vivid and rich despite their age. Woven from silk and
metallic threads, the colors range from blood red to hunter green to pale blue and ivory. No space
is wasted or devoid of embellishment. Vegetation surrounds the figures of animals and humans
alike, reaching to the ends of the fabric. No matter the conflicting seasonality of the fruit or
flower, every plant and tree is seen at their peek, in full bloom. The men of hunting party are
dressed in their finest clothes, perhaps unsuitable for the task at hand. The dogs are shown in
vigorous action leaping at or away from the unicorn, and are always seen frozen in a moment of
activity. The seven tapestries are displayed in a specific order: The Start of the Hunt, The Unicorn

Legacy System Essay
Introduction
The term legacy system has distinct meanings for different individuals. For numerous people, it
describes archaic mainframe or dumb terminal software programs from the 1970s and 1980s
(Weber, 2006). To other individuals, it may infer the client/server applications from the 1990s or
web applications from the late 1990s (Weber, 2006). The chief point is that each one of these
distinct architectures presents different risks that must be thoroughly understood and properly
managed (Weber, 2006).
The aim of this research is to assess security risks with legacy systems. Research has uncovered that

Dimmesdale Rapture
INSERT WILDLY CLEVER TITLE HERE Many classic story arcs employ what, in ancient Greek
dramas, are called instances of deus ex machina, or god from the machine. In these stories, an
unforeseen factor arrives and offers an apparent solution to what would otherwise be an insoluble
problem. Toward the end of Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, the Puritanminister
Dimmesdale seems to find such a resolution for the inner torment he has imposed on himself in
atonement for his affair with Hester. While Dimmesdale s emotions escalate toward rapture at the
suggestion of leaving his life of outward piety and private shame behind, he remains constrained by

This ambiguity parallels the way he relishes the chance to start anew, but refuses to appreciate
the woman who grants him this chance, the human light source. Dimmesdale identifies the
sense of luminosity he feels as something his pleasure threw upon him. The verb to throw recalls
the biblical verse of John 8:7 when Jesus instructs a group of men who are stoning a woman to
death for adultery that whoever is without sin should be the first to cast a stone. The joy
Dimmesdale feels in this scene delivers itself to him with a verb which the bible applies to
punishment. Consideration of the justice which has not been administered disrupts the revelry
that lands over the trouble of his breast. Because of the magnitude of his past sin, present joy
hovers above his troubles, rather than eclipsing them. So long as Dimmesdale fails to take public
responsibility for his actions, he will never feel pure joy. The trouble remains upon his breast, in
the very place where his female accomplice was forced to bear the public consequence of their
shared action alone. Still, the illusion of total joy intensifies.
Without the impositions of any outside religious organization, Dimmesdale believes himself to be
entirely free, though his devout, masochistic past continues to manifest itself. The second sentence
is far longer than the first, illustrating Dimmesdale s growing comfort with the once alien joy of
freedom. Dimmesdale enjoys the exhilarating

Sigmund Freud Is Responsible For The Creation Of...
Sigmund Freud is responsible for the creation of psychoanalysis, which at the time was a new
science based on mental causes rather than the typical physical model of human behavior. Freud
was the first to infer that mental disorders could be the result of individual history rather than
physical impairment and that childhood experiences influence an individual s behavior in the
future. When considering Freud s theory of personality, there are numerous correlations that can
be observed with regard to my own childhood experiences and the actions and emotions I
experience today. Freud s view on mental energy is that the body is the source of all mental
energy, mental energy is conserved due to the fact that we have a limited amount, it is the cause
for all our behavior, and the goal of our behavior is to reduce tension. One s mental energy is
invested in impulses, which drive human behavior. Freud proposed two basic impulses: sexual
impulses and aggressive impulses. Cathexis refers to the concentration of mental energy on one
particular person, idea, or object; excessive cathexis on a single object may lead to neurosis,
which is a mild psychological disorder. An example of cathexis in my own life is when I have a
week filled with exams and big projects; during this time, my mental energy is concentrated on
getting a good grade on these projects and exams; concentrating my mental energy on the idea of
getting a good grade is almost as exhausting as completing the projects

In 1896, Jean Piaget was born in Neuchatel, Switzerland and would grow up to be one of the most
influential researchers in developmental psychology. While Piaget was surrounded by rather

His mother had a strong neurotic temperament which made home life challenging at times, and

As Piaget introduced the concept of schemas into his research, he was able to pair certain schemas
with stages of development, such as object permanence in the sensorimotor stage or conservation of

which would remain dormant until being awakened by certain experiences the child would have as
it grew. Schemas also would experience an equilibrium in which they would react steadily to new

could not be applied to new situations, the process of accommodation would occur and allow for
new schemas. Regardless of accommodation throwing off one s equilibrium of schema, it allows

Summary Of Passing Nella Larsen

Larsens has revolutionized the idea of acceptance of one s self identity.Larsen wrote this novel
in the height of the Harlem Renaissance . An era that is known for its growth and expanse in the
artistic explosion that happened in Harlem between the end of World War I and the middle of
the 1930s. During this period Harlem was a cultural center, drawing black writers, artists, poets,
and educated people. Many had come from the South, running away from its terrible mistreatment
and social class system in order to find a place where they could freely express their talents. It
involved racial pride, fueled in part by the aggressiveness of the New Negro demanding civil and
political rights. The Renaissance incorporated jazz and the blues, attracting whites to Harlem,

At the first look, Passing, the title of the short book may project many meanings to the reader.
Passing could refer to the change from life to death. Although the word passing could simply be
referring to a change , the word also suggests disguising oneself, or to take on a different identity.
To pass, certainly refers to a to cross an edge/border. While no significant suggestions of race or
sexuality are given in the title, it anyway suggests disguise, deceit and change . This changing
period is quite possibly the process that Nella Larsen is referring to in the title of her short book

Dance Salsa Research Paper
Dance has always been a part of my life, whether it was from the first day my mom taught me
salsa in the family room to now performing in front of huge crowds around my community.
Whether its ballroom, west coast, or country, I have been able to express myself in ways that I
never thought possible. Through my commitment and perseverance I strive to become a better and
more knowledgeable dancer every day. I continue to learn new things and search for opportunities to
widen my horizons and interact with the dancecommunity. My passion grows with me as I grow as
a dancer and I hope to be able to share that passion with others for the rest of my life.
I started dance at the age of 8, well officially that is. Long before then however I had begun to
learn from my mom. We would spend our Sunday s cleaning the house listening to latin music
and she would teach me how to dance salsa. That was how I first discovered what it was to
dance. I kept learning and having fun with her every week until a talent show at my school offered
me an opportunity to showcase (what I thought at the time) was a vast amount of knowledge. So I
told my mother about it, but she thought that our days spent learning salsa were just harmless fun
with no big aims such as the one I had presented her with. So she said no. And ... Show more

It was completely foreign to me. Two people who had never met dancing and competing
freestyle? It was unheard of! But I went to see it and when I got there it blew my mind. These
people were dancing right along to the music hitting the hits doing dips and tricks that
complemented the music, footwork that I couldn t even try to wrap my head around. But above it
all these people were having fun. The dancers were wrapped up in the moment smiling, having the
time of their lives. The competition didn t matter to them, it was about enjoying the art of dance.
And I knew right away that it was something I wanted to

Persuasive Essay On Animal Welfare
Animal shelters are overflowing, some euthanizing dogs just because they no longer have the
resources to care for these animals, yet people are still buying their dogs from the pet store. When
getting a new dog, adopt it from the animal shelter rather than buying it from a pet store.
Everyone wants to have a cute cuddly family dog, however, they are not willing to put in the time
and energy into properly training their animals so they either leave them on the side of the road,
or take them to animal shelters. According to ASPCA 3.3 million dogs enter animal shelters
each year. each. year. Yet people are still against shelter dogs because of some bad dogs. This
high number causes some animal shelters to reach max capacity and not be able to fully provide
for these animals so many are euthanized just to make more room for more abandoned animals. A
total of 670,000 dogs euthanized each year, yet individuals still continue to support puppy mills by
buying puppies from the pet store. When getting your new puppy from the pet store, it is important
that you understand what environment they were raised in. Individuals who buy their dogs from
pet stores, are supporting puppy mills. Puppy mills are: unsanitary, unethical, and worst of all,
completely legal. ASPCA outlines the Animal Welfare Act in theory protects these animals from
mistreatment in these commercial breeding facilities, however, these laws are hard to enforce. The
Animal Welfare Act covers licensing, standards of

The Roles And Responsibilities Of A Nurse
1.Discuss the roles and responsibilities of the nurse in the acute care setting.
I.Urgency of acute care varies depending on the situation but can range to anything from
emergency surgeries, to injuries, chronic illnesses, and also for the recovery of those procedures.
Majority of the patients in acute care settings are critically ill. Nursing responsibilities in acute
care settings are vital to patient s recovery due to the front line position nurses play as well as the
wide variety of tasks carried out. Assessments are made during every encounter the nurse has with
the patient along with monitoring the patient s progress. Nurses are responsible for recognizing
symptoms the patient may be experiencing due to illness or injury and whether they fall in the
spectrum of normal reactions. Vital signs are measured routinely and can be indicators of the
patient s current status. When vitals are questioned diagnostic tests can be arranged to further
assess possible comorbidities the patient may have. Care plans are made to plan interventions the
health care team can take to help patients through challenges they face, both physical and mental.
Nurses administer medications as well as first aid as needed. They are responsible for maintaining
special equipment patients may require including monitors and ventilators are well.
2.Discuss the roles and responsibilities of other members of the health care team.

Sacrifice Judgments In Jane Austen s Northanger Abbey
It is well known that young men and women are not the best judges of friends; this holds
especially true when they have little experience with friendship, and few chances to truly
understand people and how they act. When Jane Austen began editing her first novel, Northanger
Abbey, in 1803, at the age of 28, she had gone through the same troubling period during
adolescence, but once she was older, she had found her own set group of friends, and was
especially close to Anne Lefroy and her sister Cassandra. Using several aspects of her early life, she
sought to guide her audience into evaluating their relationships with others. Throughout the novel,
Austen allows her naГЇve protagonist to be constantly deceived and misled by those around her to
suggest that people should be wary of false judgments and ulterior motives when choosing their
friends and true knowledge of human interactions cannot be replaced or replicated. Although
Catherine is a very well read young woman, her ability to read people is very lacking. With her
mind about as ignorant and uninformed as the female... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

General Tilney, hears from the spurned John Thorpe that Catherine s family is poor. Henry
corrects his father s mistake, for the Morlands are not destitute, and stands up to him as much in
honour as in affection to Miss Morland (233). Although it is difficult for Catherine to always
comprehend Henry s true meaning, she is well aware of their feelings for one another, and with her
instincts about people [...] basically sound , she agrees to marry him (Drabble

Fahrenheit 451 5th Wave Analysis
There are a lot of things similar and different in Fahrenheit 451 and The 5th Wave. One of the
things similar is that the people do not know what was happening in other places of the world.
They are only concerned about their own lives. One thing that is different is that The 5th Wave is
taking place in a post apocalypse world while Fahrenheit 451is taking place in a world in the future
where technology is very advanced. Another thingthat is similar is that the government did not tell
the people what was going on. Something that is different about this is that the people in Fahrenheit
451 did not care that the government was not telling them anything. In the 5th Wave, the people
actually cared. Another thing that is different is the enemy. In The 5th Wave, the enemy is the
aliens or the Others. In Fahrenheit 451, the enemy is the government because they view humans as
a weapon. In Fahrenheit 451, it says One drop of rain. Clarisse. Another drop. Mildred. A third. The
uncle. A fourth. The fire tonight. One, Clarisse. Two, Mildred. Three, uncle. Four, fire. One,
Mildred, two, Clarisse. One, two, three, four, five, Clarisse, Mildred, uncle, fire, sleeping tablets,

A New Research And Development Group
HACKD, LLC s move to launch a new research and development group christened, CWE is a
welcome move for the organization to streamline research operations, and to develop innovative
products and services. The proposed CWE group systems are expected to run on the Ubuntu Linux
15.04 operating system that will access and share resources with the MicrosoftActive Directory
(AD) domain at HACKD, LLC. The AD domain comprises several servers running Windows
Server 2012 R2 providing various services such as DHCP, DNS, file sharing, Microsoft Active
Directory, printing and web services. HACKD, LLC also has a mix of about 500 desktop and
laptop computers running on the Windows XPand Windows 7client operating systems. According to
the Windows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the case of the CWE group systems implementation, the minimum system requirements for
running Ubuntu 15.04 will be used to determine whether new hardware will be purchased, or
whether current systems running Windows XP will be migrated to Ubuntu. The Ubuntu 15.04
operating system is distributed on two types of bootable images i.e. 32 bit and 64 bit PC
images. The 64 bit (AMD64) desktop image is built to cater for systems based on the EM64T
and AMD64 architectures such as Core 2, EM64T Xeon, and Athlon64. For 64 bit processor not
manufactured by AMD, or when full support for 32 bit applications is required, the 32 bit (i386)
desktop image is recommended. The 32 bit image is designed for almost all PC systems and
includes computers with AMD/Intel processors, almost all machines capable or running Microsoft
Windows operating system offerings. In fact, the 32 bit version of the Ubuntu 15.04 desktop image
is recommended when organizations/users are unsure of which version to use
(Releases.ubuntu.com, 2015).
Another issue to consider on the hardware aspect regards the minimum system requirements
required to run Ubuntu 15.04. The Table 1 below shows the minimum system requirements for
Ubuntu 15.04 compared to the current system specifications for machines running Windows XP.
The third Requirements met column specifies whether the current Windows XP hardware meets
the minimum requirements for installing Ubuntu 15.04. Ubuntu 15.04 Minimum System

Memorie Episodic Memory Paper
Have you ever wondered how you can remember things so easily sometimes without hesitation?
Your brain is made up of millions of different chemicals and processes to create these memories.
Psychologist Margaret W. Matlin describes memory as the process of retaining information over
time (Zimmermann). This process includes encoding, storing, retaining and then recalling thoughts.
Without our memorywe would be lost not knowing where you are in time, endlessly moving
forward. Memory is essential for almost everything you do day by day, consider for a moment
how much you rely on your memory to help you function just in one day such as using your phone,
test answers or as simple as eating (Cherry). Encoding is the crucial first step to creating a new
memory (Mastin). This is meant to cement the memory in your head using various parts of the
brain. There are three types of encoding such as Acoustic, Visual and Semantic (Mastin). Encoding

Episodic memory critically depends on the medial temporal lobe and several neocortical regions
during memory encoding (Papassotiropoulos). Memory strategies to help with long term memory
has not been shown to affect memory rehabilitation (Ylvisaker). One reason is people with common
forgetfulness often do not use the strategies that have been taught to help with memorization. Also
most have limited space in their working memory, therefore it is hard to remember these strategies.
Most of the studies have been conducted with adults who rarely have to learn or memorize large
amounts of new information. However, in an academic atmosphere, it is worth encouraging
students to do at least some of the following at the time of encoding to enhance their memory
(Hibbard). These being summarizing, taking notes, speaking information aloud and taking in
reasonably small amounts of information in short amounts of

Emergency Radiology Research Paper
Do you ever wonder how radiation was discovered? Or when it was discovered? It all started in
1895, when Wilhelm Roentgen discovered x rays. Six years later, he was honored with the first
Nobel Prize in Physics; by then, doctors were already using primitive x rays to diagnose
illnesses(Men s Health watch 1). The collaboration between physicians and physicists has continued
ever since, resulting in amazing advances far beyond Roentgen s wildest dreams. Physicists tell us
that ionizing radiation delivers energy in the form of photons that pack enough oomph to strip
electrons away from the nuclei of atoms(1). We are continuously exposed to tiny amounts of
ionizing radiation from cosmic rays and naturally occurring radioactive elements here on earth. We
accept this so called background radiation without blinking an eye, but we... Show more content on

Results often determine if an admission occurs, to which service the patient is admitted, and if

division of today is unique in its physical design, equipment, staffing, information systems, and
operations.Designing the emergency radiology facility today requires proper planning to optimize
workflow, as summarized in Table 2. For example, radiology should be centrally located for
maximal accessibility to physicians and patients from multiple clinical services. The selection of
imaging equipment is important to best accommodate the expected volume unique to one s ED. At
our institution, we have optimized our imaging equipment to meet volume demands of acute care.

More Than Half of the Population of Pakistan Is Food...
HYPOTHESIS 1:
More than half of the population of Pakistan is food insecured despite agricultural growth. The
food security of a country is the availability of food in that country, and the people s access to it. It
is often said, Food insecurity anywhere, threatens peace everywhere .
The term food security reflects the desire to eliminate hunger and malnutrition. The World Food
Summit in 1996 defined food security as, when all people at all times have physical and
economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet the dietary needs and food
preferences for an active and healthy life . This definition implies that food security has three
pillars i.e., physical availability of food, socio economic access to food and ... Show more content

A study conducted by the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) puts the figure of
those living below poverty line in rural areas at over 40 million.
According to PIDE, in the surveys conducted in 2001, 2004 and in 2010, more than 50 per cent of
rural households in Punjab and Sindh qualified as poverty stricken for at least one period.
Poverty in rural Punjab and Sindh declined sharply from 29.5 per cent in 2001 to 21.8 per cent in
2004 but then jumped to 28 per cent in 2010.
The SDPI study reveals that the rural Balochistan has the highest incidence of poverty with three
quarters of its rural population (74 per cent) living below the poverty line. Urban poverty in
Balochistan is 29 per cent. The second highest rural urban disparity is found in Sindh where 46 per
cent rural households are poor compared to only 20 per cent urban households.
Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa also shows a similar pattern; 43 per cent rural households are poor
compared to 18 per cent urban households. The rural urban divide in Punjab is the lowest amongst
all the provinces as 28 per cent rural households are poor in contrast to only 10 per cent urban
households.
Although agriculture is at the heart of the rural economy, the majority of Pakistan s rural poor are
neither tenant farmers nor farm owners. Farmers (including both owners and tenants) comprised
only 43 percent of households .Non farm

George Clooney s Film Good Night And Good Luck
Though it is set in the 1950s, George Clooney s film Good Night and Good Luck is still

costarred in the film, is the son of journalist Nick Clooney. Prior to transferring to Drexel, I
attended American University, where the elder Clooney was on the faculty as a journalist in
residence. Shortly after I was accepted into AU, I remember reading an article reporting that Nick

the Sudanese Embassy for protesting the human rights violations perpetrated by the country s
leadership. Though In the early 1950s, fear of Soviet influence on the Department of State

  • 8. Security Enhancement Strategies And Strategies VI.SECURITY ENHANCEMENT STRATEGIES: Some of the strategies and defensive measures that can be incorporated in the cloud environment to overcome the threats and challenges mentioned in the above section are as follows. In order to provide protection to the computer system and to the network, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) could be employed, which will detect hostile activities in the host or network and generates alerts to provide notifications regarding such malicious intrusions. IDS also has the ability to distinguish between attacks initiated by hackers outside an organization and attacks that starts from within an organization due to a malicious user. Augmenting the IDS with an impartial third party device for monitoring would be preferable, since the intrusion alerts will be sent to cloud service providers, which is not completely reliable, in comparison to the traditional method in which the alerts are sent to an administrator. Host based IDS (HIDS) captures the communication traffic, whereas the Network based IDS (NIDS) watches over the network traffic packets, based on which system integrity and detection of unauthorized contact with the computer network can be ensured. Although HIDS exhibits weaker real time response, it has a strong capability to detect insider attacks by monitoring the state of the host system and its dynamic characteristics. Both host and network based intrusions could be detected to some extent using an Anomaly based IDS. In this, a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mothers who are thinking of breastfeeding may feel that they are being judged when they feed their baby in public because some people think that it is not appropriate for mothers to breastfeed in public. According to Yimyam and Hanpa (2013), In order to promote breastfeeding practices among employed mothers, workplace interventions must be designed using multiple levels of influence including employee, employer and workplace. In order for a new mom to feel comfortable breastfeeding, she needs to feel comfortable everywhere she goes especially her workplace. The employers should allow the breastfeeding employee to take breaks when needing to pump and should provide a fridge so they can store the milk somewhere safe. The workplace should also have somewhere clean and private for the woman to go to pump her milk. Also if the employer makes it known to the whole company that they support having breastfeeding zones then all of the other employees will be more accepting to it. This will allow the breastfeeding employee to feel more comfortable and will most likely allow her to breastfeed longer. This topic includes various aspects of the lives of men and women, including work in and out of the home. Dorment responds to other opinions and viewpoints and explains why no one can have it all. He brings up many convincing arguments that show why the feminist push for equals rights for women is not producing the outcome that people want it to have. I agree with what much of Dorment is saying in this essay, and the following paragraphs will explain Dorment s argument. To start the essay, Dorment asks the question of whether it is better to be born a boy or a girl in today s society. He says it is a toss up, and gives a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He and his wife share laundry duty, but when he folds the laundry, his wife does it again. When he asks why she does this, she tells him he folds the laundry wrong. He makes the point that women want to be helped and supported more around the house, but tell men that they are doing things wrong. I can see where Dorment is coming from with these points. In today s society, people base too many arguments on feelings, instead of facts, truth, and evidence. The feelings of expectations for the house are not men s fault, nor are men the cause for women s hardship in this area. Men and women also have different opinions and reactions to leaving the house for work, Dorment says. Men today want to be better fathers than men in previous generations, men still feel like they have to provide for the family, even if they have wives that bring in forty five percent of the family income (Dorment 709). This is why men feel as though they can work long hours away from home. They feel as though they are sacrificing time with their kids to provide for the family (even though they may still miss their kids). Women, Dorment points out, have a different reaction to leaving their kids to go to work. They feel guilty and experience ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. The Sociological Theories Of Gender Development In Society Socialization happens over our interactions; however, it is not as simple as it may seem. A gender system occurs in every society. It is all about of all the ideas of female and male that are in a certain place at a certain time and all the values as regards who decides what, who does what, and how we feel ourselves and one another, mutually and independently. For this reason, there are too many genderresearchers that study how we construct our life (for example, how we think, feel, interpret, etc.). Researches who came up with some theories about gender development, and we will be explaining them in this essay. According to the book Gendered lives by Julia T. Wood, a theory is a way to describe, explain, and predict relationships among phenomena. She also explains that each of us uses theories to make sense of our live, to guide our attitudes and actions, and to predict other s behavior(Julia T Wood, 37). With this intention, researches came up with four classifications of gender development and behaviors theories: biological, interpersonal, cultural and critical. Biological theories of gender maintain that biological characteristics such as chromosomes, hormonal activities and brain specialization account for gender differences (Julia T. Wood, 38). In other words, gender is determined by chromosomes and hormones. In fact, hormonal activity plays a big roll in gender development. For example, there is a study made by Quadango et al. Forest fires take part in the way our environment change and although an increase in forest fires in North America can negatively affect some species, it provides opportunities for many others. Certain species have found ways to adapt and thrive in forestfires while others need fire for reproductive success. Forest fires also promote diversity and a healthy ecosystem. The longer term one looks, the more opportunities can be seen for species to evolve through forest fires. Although many people believe forest fires negatively affect species, forest fires help to keep a healthy ecosystem and promote diversity. When a forest fire occurs, it kills many plants and animals. When older plants and animals are killed in a forest fire, it allows the forest to be reborn again. It gives opportunities for new plants, fungi and other organisms to recolonize the land. In these stories, an unforeseen factor arrives and offers an apparent solution to what would otherwise be an insoluble problem. Toward the end of Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, the Puritanminister Dimmesdale seems to find such a resolution for the inner torment he has imposed on himself in atonement for his affair with Hester. The joy Dimmesdale feels in this scene delivers itself to him with a verb which the bible applies to punishment. Consideration of the justice which has not been administered disrupts the revelry that lands over the trouble of his breast. Because of the magnitude of his past sin, present joy hovers above his troubles, rather than eclipsing them. So long as Dimmesdale fails to take public responsibility for his actions, he will never feel pure joy. The trouble remains upon his breast, in the very place where his female accomplice was forced to bear the public consequence of their shared action alone. Still, the illusion of total joy intensifies. Without the impositions of any outside religious organization, Dimmesdale believes himself to be entirely free, though his devout, masochistic past continues to manifest itself. • 34. Sigmund Freud Is Responsible For The Creation Of... Sigmund Freud is responsible for the creation of psychoanalysis, which at the time was a new science based on mental causes rather than the typical physical model of human behavior. Freud was the first to infer that mental disorders could be the result of individual history rather than physical impairment and that childhood experiences influence an individual s behavior in the future. When considering Freud s theory of personality, there are numerous correlations that can be observed with regard to my own childhood experiences and the actions and emotions I experience today. Freud s view on mental energy is that the body is the source of all mental energy, mental energy is conserved due to the fact that we have a limited amount, it is the cause for all our behavior, and the goal of our behavior is to reduce tension. One s mental energy is invested in impulses, which drive human behavior. Freud proposed two basic impulses: sexual impulses and aggressive impulses. Cathexis refers to the concentration of mental energy on one particular person, idea, or object; excessive cathexis on a single object may lead to neurosis, which is a mild psychological disorder. An example of cathexis in my own life is when I have a week filled with exams and big projects; during this time, my mental energy is concentrated on getting a good grade on these projects and exams; concentrating my mental energy on the idea of getting a good grade is almost as exhausting as completing the projects ... Larsens has revolutionized the idea of acceptance of one s self identity.Larsen wrote this novel in the height of the Harlem Renaissance . An era that is known for its growth and expanse in the artistic explosion that happened in Harlem between the end of World War I and the middle of the 1930s. During this period Harlem was a cultural center, drawing black writers, artists, poets, and educated people. Many had come from the South, running away from its terrible mistreatment and social class system in order to find a place where they could freely express their talents. It involved racial pride, fueled in part by the aggressiveness of the New Negro demanding civil and political rights. The Renaissance incorporated jazz and the blues, attracting whites to Harlem, where couples danced. While it may have... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dance Salsa Research Paper Dance has always been a part of my life, whether it was from the first day my mom taught me salsa in the family room to now performing in front of huge crowds around my community. Whether its ballroom, west coast, or country, I have been able to express myself in ways that I never thought possible. Through my commitment and perseverance I strive to become a better and more knowledgeable dancer every day. I continue to learn new things and search for opportunities to widen my horizons and interact with the dancecommunity. My passion grows with me as I grow as a dancer and I hope to be able to share that passion with others for the rest of my life. I started dance at the age of 8, well officially that is. Long before then however I had begun to learn from my mom. We would spend our Sunday s cleaning the house listening to latin music and she would teach me how to dance salsa. That was how I first discovered what it was to dance. I kept learning and having fun with her every week until a talent show at my school offered me an opportunity to showcase (what I thought at the time) was a vast amount of knowledge. So I told my mother about it, but she thought that our days spent learning salsa were just harmless fun with no big aims such as the one I had presented her with. So she said no. And ... Everyone wants to have a cute cuddly family dog, however, they are not willing to put in the time and energy into properly training their animals so they either leave them on the side of the road, or take them to animal shelters. This high number causes some animal shelters to reach max capacity and not be able to fully provide for these animals so many are euthanized just to make more room for more abandoned animals. A total of 670,000 dogs euthanized each year, yet individuals still continue to support puppy mills by buying puppies from the pet store. When getting your new puppy from the pet store, it is important that you understand what environment they were raised in. Individuals who buy their dogs from pet stores, are supporting puppy mills. Sacrifice Judgments In Jane Austen s Northanger Abbey It is well known that young men and women are not the best judges of friends; this holds especially true when they have little experience with friendship, and few chances to truly understand people and how they act. When Jane Austen began editing her first novel, Northanger Abbey, in 1803, at the age of 28, she had gone through the same troubling period during adolescence, but once she was older, she had found her own set group of friends, and was especially close to Anne Lefroy and her sister Cassandra. Using several aspects of her early life, she sought to guide her audience into evaluating their relationships with others. Throughout the novel, Austen allows her naГЇve protagonist to be constantly deceived and misled by those around her to suggest that people should be wary of false judgments and ulterior motives when choosing their friends and true knowledge of human interactions cannot be replaced or replicated. One of the things similar is that the people do not know what was happening in other places of the world. They are only concerned about their own lives. One thing that is different is that The 5th Wave is taking place in a post apocalypse world while Fahrenheit 451is taking place in a world in the future where technology is very advanced. Another thingthat is similar is that the government did not tell the people what was going on. Something that is different about this is that the people in Fahrenheit 451 did not care that the government was not telling them anything. In the 5th Wave, the people actually cared. Another thing that is different is the enemy. In The 5th Wave, the enemy is the aliens or the Others. In Fahrenheit 451, the enemy is the government because they view humans as a weapon. In the case of the CWE group systems implementation, the minimum system requirements for running Ubuntu 15.04 will be used to determine whether new hardware will be purchased, or whether current systems running Windows XP will be migrated to Ubuntu. The Ubuntu 15.04 operating system is distributed on two types of bootable images i.e. 32 bit and 64 bit PC images. The 64 bit (AMD64) desktop image is built to cater for systems based on the EM64T and AMD64 architectures such as Core 2, EM64T Xeon, and Athlon64. For 64 bit processor not manufactured by AMD, or when full support for 32 bit applications is required, the 32 bit (i386) desktop image is recommended. The 32 bit image is designed for almost all PC systems and includes computers with AMD/Intel processors, almost all machines capable or running Microsoft Windows operating system offerings. In fact, the 32 bit version of the Ubuntu 15.04 desktop image is recommended when organizations/users are unsure of which version to use (Releases.ubuntu.com, 2015). Your brain is made up of millions of different chemicals and processes to create these memories. Psychologist Margaret W. Matlin describes memory as the process of retaining information over time (Zimmermann). This process includes encoding, storing, retaining and then recalling thoughts. Without our memorywe would be lost not knowing where you are in time, endlessly moving forward. Memory is essential for almost everything you do day by day, consider for a moment how much you rely on your memory to help you function just in one day such as using your phone, test answers or as simple as eating (Cherry). Encoding is the crucial first step to creating a new memory (Mastin). This is meant to cement the memory in your head using various parts of the brain. There are three types of encoding such as Acoustic, Visual and Semantic (Mastin). Encoding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Episodic memory critically depends on the medial temporal lobe and several neocortical regions during memory encoding (Papassotiropoulos). Memory strategies to help with long term memory has not been shown to affect memory rehabilitation (Ylvisaker). One reason is people with common forgetfulness often do not use the strategies that have been taught to help with memorization. Also most have limited space in their working memory, therefore it is hard to remember these strategies. Most of the studies have been conducted with adults who rarely have to learn or memorize large amounts of new information. However, in an academic atmosphere, it is worth encouraging students to do at least some of the following at the time of encoding to enhance their memory (Hibbard). Six years later, he was honored with the first Nobel Prize in Physics; by then, doctors were already using primitive x rays to diagnose illnesses(Men s Health watch 1). The collaboration between physicians and physicists has continued ever since, resulting in amazing advances far beyond Roentgen s wildest dreams. Physicists tell us that ionizing radiation delivers energy in the form of photons that pack enough oomph to strip electrons away from the nuclei of atoms(1).
