to a German perspective of the war. During World War II, the Nazi Party reigned terror over Germany
and many people became victims of the cruelty of their circumstances. This is demonstrated implicitly
throughout, the film of The Book Thief , however, the fear of the war still surrounds the characters in
the film. Despite being a film, that presents a German view on the war, the film clearly displays the
sense of fright that would be observed by a Jew during the Holocaust. The fear can also be sensed

(3) The growing impact of media violence on the media economy and media regulation; (4) Other

I ve gone from house to house trying to find one to call home. I should call where i live home but
home shouldn t make you want to run. Walking into the door of my house feels so forlorn and cold.
Nothing there is ever happy and all the love has left along with the good memories. My only comfort
now comes from the solitude of my room and the deafening sound of my music, desperately trying to
drown out the shouts of anger and hate.
No I m not saying my life is completely awful, I do have good moments but not as often as I do bad

Keep in mind that Waldron s (2012) suggestions for reducing hazing may have little influence due to
the countervailing force of peer pressure (Edelman, 2005, p. 328). Therefore, it is highly unlikely that
this contradictory approach will succeed using a short range tactic to replace a long range strategy
(Fallacies, 2006, More..., para. 1 42; Heibert Klatt, 2001, p. 170 2). Hence, further discussions are
needed to determine which author(s) presented the stronger argument.
Taking all this into account, Waldron (2012) has presented a stronger argument than Josefowitz and
Gadon (1989). The reason for this is due to Waldron (2012) maintaining a neutral position, while
presenting strong scientific evidence on the subject of hazing. Also, the statistics presented by
Waldron (2012) did not have any fallacies when compared to that of Josefowitz and Gadon (1989)
(Fallacies, 2006, More..., para. 1 42). Based upon these differences and how society has changed its
cultural stance on hazing, Waldron (2012) has clearly given the better argument and solution for
stopping hazing. Hence, a further discussion is needed on why hazing remains a controversial

Identity Crisis When one is going through life, they will try to find who they are. This can be
influenced by people around them and what they do, but they will find themselves eventually. Sandra
Cisneros shows this through Esperanza in her novella The House on Mango Street. Esperanza through
this aging and learning from her experiences. She very slowly, but very normally learning who she is.
Esperanza s negative view of herself slowly changes as she begins to focus on her larger community
and her place within it. Through this, Cisneros shows that knowing and accepting where one comes
from is an important part of growing up and determining one s identity. Esperanza gets stunted from
growing because of the people she s around. Everybody that s around her are either much younger or
much older. This is shown by Esperanza using phrases like this kid in the vignette Our Good Day to
describe people around her (Cisneros 14). Having nothing but kids around someone is only going to
stop them from growing. Having someone that is ones age can help see what pace that person needs to
