Evaluate the Impact of Changes in the Economic Environment...
Evaluate the impact of changes in the economic environment on a selected business D1
After various changes to the economic tax and interest rate, CPHP have conducted and compiled
research into current public spending. The results show that there has been a dramatic reduction in the
level of public spending in the UK.
The changes in economic environment will affect a business, the profit of the business will be affected
because its affect the price and income of a business, which are the main aspect of a business.
If Tesco decides to change the price of their goods, for example; the price of their doughnut in 2009
was 5 pieces for a pound, a reasonable price for students but with the economic environment it
affected everything with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This will affect Tesco growth because the loans will affect their income, cash flow and business
image. Tesco will pay more and profit will drop.
Tesco also have social factors that affect them, as the business have charity centre in helping the less
privilege people and the more these people gets poor, the more they will have to stretch to help out
which also spending money.
Recession causes unemployment, this will affect the demand for goods and Tesco profit will drop.
An economic factor that might affect Tesco is the demand of the consumer and customer which will
decrease with the different problems; people are having in the world. As the demand decrease so the
economy of the business will decrease and the profit of the business will decrease too. This refers in
the fiscal and monetary, for example since when the government decided to raise the VAT from 17.5%
to 20%, the business increase their goods price and due to that reason the customers do not purchase
enough goods like they used.
Social factors refer in the trend of customer which keeps changing their trend, and what the trend of
their purchase. For example nowadays due to people s work, they are really busy so they often decide
to buy already cooked food.
Technology refers in how Tesco adopt online shopping to attract customer, to purchase goods and
services from the business. Another technology might be the introduction of

Madagascar, Africa, By Madagascar
For my county I chose Madagascar, Africa. Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world. In
2003 an index was created by the United Nations Development Program that measures successes in
the categories of real income, life expectancy, and education. With that Madagascar was ranked 149
out of 175 counties. A lot of this can be due to kleptocratic rule, religion, economic colonialism, and
lack of infrastructure.
Madagascar is still very much a developing country with the average Malagasy (term for a resident in
Madagascar) making only one US dollar per day. Even though Madagascar achieved full
independence in 1960 it is still ran today as if it were a colony. While under kleptocratic rule, the
dictator Didier Ratsiraka stole millions of dollars. Which in turn led to a decline in foreign investors, it
discouraged private sector development, and discredited the governments trustworthiness. This
country is based on natural resource extraction and economies like this or much more prone to
kleptocracy. When the president Marc Ravalomanana came to in 2002 he pushed for economic reform
and tried to bring foreign investors back to the country while also keeping natural resource extraction
an important role in building the economy. These efforts received much praise from foreign donors but
towards the end of his presidency he was confronted by Adry Rajoelina who stated he was likely to
disturb peace and security . Ravalomanana was then forced to resign due to

School Subculture In School
A culture is created when a group comes together for a common reason. This reason can be anything
from beliefs, family roots, interest, and location to values, knowledge, or any other mutual ground.
Culture tends to be passed from generation to generation as children learn the expectations of family
and friends (Strouse, 2001). People can be a part of multiple cultures as they have different
connections to people throughout their life. Each school has a culture of its own, like a miniature
society. This is part of the school climate (Ballantine Hammack, 2012, p. 216). Within this
environment are many different subcultures that make up the various groups of people. In schools,
these groups are the students, teachers, parents, administration, staff, and community members.
The school environment constitutes a subculture within a large society. School becomes an
environment that offers students the opportunity to socially express their views toward the world and
socially connect with those who relate with their ideals. The students have a direct influence from
their social structure that mirrors their sociological experiences within their community. Ballantine
and Hammack state, The school culture reflects the immediate community in which the school is
located and its students characteristics (2012, p. 216). It s up to the schools to promote and reinforce
the moral, academic and ethical skills that society wants to impart on future generations.

Key Resources That Affect Creativity Are Time And Money
Resources The two main resources that affect creativity are time and money. When it comes to a
project, we must determine the funding, people and other resources that a team legitimately needs to
complete the task.
Work group Features Group must work for common objectives of their group. There must be mutual
understanding between group members. There must be predefined rules and regulations for every
group member. There should be effective communication among every group member.(Wride, 2012)
Supervisory Encouragement Most managers and supervisors can encourage creativity by offering due
recognition and credit to their team members. Managers can also support creativity by serving as a
role model, persevering through tough ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Texas Military Equipment
The use of artillery has provided military commanders the ability to disrupt, destroy, and defeat their
enemy s throughout history. It is important to realize maneuver commanders need reliable, fast, and
accurate fire support. The use of integrated fire of artillery provides maneuver commanders flexibility
and firepower and is the key to battle success in both the offense and defense. This paper will discuss
how modern equipment and innovative techniques to employ that equipment shaped and controlled
the entire battle space. In 1836, Texas gained its independence from Mexico. The Mexican
government encouraged border skirmishes and raids while warning the United States that annexation
of Texas would lead to war. Newly elected president James K. Polk initiated annexation procedures in
1844, and made offers to the Mexican government to purchase what is today the American southwest.
On 4 July 1845, the Texas congress voted to join the United States and after Mexico s rejection to sell
the territories or settle on boundaries for the disputed Texas territory, the United States moved troops

Gen Arista responded by moving his right flank forward and pulling his left flank back to the rear. In
effect, the battle s orientation rotated about thirty five degrees clockwise. Arista renewed the fighting
after an hour and sent his cavalry once again against the American right flank. The 18 pound guns and
the 6 pound guns in support of the right beat back the advance. After the 18 pound guns knocked large
holes in the Mexican lines, Gen Taylor then ordered a mixed attack the Mexican left. Arista then
ordered his artillery to concentrate counter battery fire on the advancing American guns that had come
within range of Mexican artillery. The heavy Mexican fire forced the U.S. guns to pull back and

Federalist 10 Analysis
The question that is dispatched in the Federalist paper # 10 that James Madison has written is how to
protect the country against factions? A faction is a group of people with the same interest opposed to
the rights of the citizens or the interests opposed to the rights of the citizens or the interest of the
whole community. The paper is also written on how a strong republic would protect better against the
dangers then a smaller one for example, an individual state. Madison explains that in a large republic
there will be many different factions, held together by regional or local interests that none of them will
dominate national politics, it is important to devise a plan of government that can control the
instability, injustice, and confusion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Madison believes it is a process or aftereffect of people being born with very different physical and
mental capacities. In order try to remove the causes of faction are only two options: destroy free will
by taking away the opinion of every citizen, passions and interests. The first won t work because we
have fought long and hard for freedom. The second is not fascinating nor even possible. By factions,
whether amounting to a largest of a minority of the whole faction. Who are untied and actuated by
some common impulse of passion or of interest, opposing of the rights of other citizens, or to the
durable and collective interests of the community? There are a few things bad about faction one of
those things are they will try to get they want even if it hurts others. Madison wants to create a
republic. Two ways to remove factions are to destroy liberty so we can t take it away again that s why
destroying liberty won t work. The system does not work today because people can have better
communication around so they can have the same interests around the country. The point of the
Federalist papers was to promote the ratification of the constitution. Madison believed that factions
operate in their own interest and ignore the rights of other citizens and interest of the community.
Madison believes that as long as man is allowed to exercise liberty that different opinions will be

Political Groups in the Late 19th and Early 20th...
Americans were not aware of the division among populists and progressivists during the late 19th and
early 20th centuries yet they were aware of the division between Democrats and Republicans.
Populism referred to a particular political style, which expressed alienation and aggression and tend to
hate Wall Street and bank interests. Progressivism was a movement of the college educated urban
middle class, which valued expertise and efficiency and favored government regulation and foreign
affairs. The populists began during the late 1800s.The progressive began during the 1900s. There are
many differences between these two movements, but yet these movements have many things that are
similar. Farmers united to protect their interests, even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The progressives believed that if given a chance the majority of voters would elect honest respectable
officials unlike those elected by the corrupt political machine but to do this they needed people to
vote. So they compiled numerous methods for increasing the participation of the average citizen in
political decisions. The secret ballot box, by using the method adopted by the Australians the voter
would not be manipulated by the political party that would affect a voters decision by standing next to
a ballot box and intimidating him or her. The progressive governor of Wisconsin Robert La Follete
introduced the method of direct primaries in which the majority vote would elect the party candidates
for the state and federal offices. This method was used to try to minimize the power of political bosses
to try to keep the corrupt officials from gaining office once again. The direct election of state senators
was also a plus for the progressives for many years the senators had been selected by the vote of the
state legislature. The corrupt state legislature would then of course vote for the corrupt official for
senate. After a while the senate begun to look like a club for the rich man. In 1913 the seventeenth
amendment required all that all U.S senators be elected by the popular vote. By calling for Initiative,
referendum, and recall the Progressives allowed by initiative to take part in the process of having a

Seasons In The Great Gatsby
According to author and keynote speaker Dennis Jones, The lesson for all of us is that we too have
seasons in our lives and each has its purpose... There are times of light and warmth... there are times of
growth and expansion... (2013). Based on his words, it is evident that each of the four seasons brings
about both positive and negative changes that everyone must endure; whether or not these changes are
openly welcomed by their recipients, they cannot be avoided. Instead of ignoring these new events and
changes, it is pivotal that humans and fictional characters alike take advantage of the opportunities
proposed by each of the four seasons. The principles stated in Jones words are directly applicable to

Just as leaves fall off of trees, characters take may experience times in their lives when their health or
relationships fall or slowly decay, which according to Foster s How to Read Literature Like a
Professor, is essentially what fall and winter symbolize decay and death respectively. For instance, in
Nicholas Sparks A Walk to Remember, the life of protagonist Jamie Sullivan, as narrated by antagonist
Landon Carter, comes to an end during the fall and winter seasons. Landon narrates an important
dialogue between Jamie when he says, You can t be in love with me, Landon, she [Jamie] said through
red and swollen eyes. ... Why not? I [Landon] shouted... Because, she finally said softly,... I m dying,
Landon (Sparks 1999). Landon is careful to mention that it is a grayish... cold winter day (Sparks
1999) before he retells the event of Jamie announcing her upcoming death. Jamie s preconceived,
ongoing death relates to idea that fall represents decline, whereas her actual death is symbolized by
winter. Because of her passing, Jamie and Landon s romance comes to an unfortunate conclusion,
again showcasing how the autumn season metaphorically symbolizes decline. Relating to Fitzgerald s
work, Nick narrates Gatsby s death by commenting, Gatsby shouldered the mattress and started for the
pool... and in a moment disappeared among the yellowing trees....

Repetitive Stress Injury Research Paper

Cumulative Trauma Disorder, and Repetitive Motion Injury. Repetitive Stress Injuries are
musculoskeletal disorders caused by improper or recurrent use of the body, typically in the wrist,
shoulder, hand or arm, characterized by weakness, loss of feeling and pain of nerves, muscles,
tendons, ligaments, and joints. Repetitive Stress Injury can be caused by any number of things in the
workplace.
Repetitive Stress Injuries can be caused by any equipment with design flaws. Equipment requiring the
arms or wrists to be bent awkwardly for long periods of time, or requiring a tight grip as well as
equipment that has too much vibration can lead to RSI. Workers ... Show more content on

If it is too cold, it can cause strain on your joints. Road maintenance staff living in Texas are less
likely to encounter environment related RSI than those living in Michigan due to the harsher
temperatures in Michigan.
Physical movements can cause Repetitive Stress Injury if the patient has many repetitious movements
like bending, lifting, twisting, and typing in their job, as well as forceful movements from jobs
requiring too much strength or effort than the body can withstand. Clerks, musicians, martial artists,
cooks, as well as assembly line workers are a few examples of occupations in which physical
movements can lead to RSI.
Being in a job that requires you to be in the same position for a period of time (ex. sitting, standing,
leaning) such as clerks, drivers, assembly line workers, dentists, and surgeons are all at risk of
Repetitive Stress Injury, as well as any jobs where you have poor posture over extended periods of
time.

The reason I chose the brow ridge to distinguish between the species because for each species the
brain case shifts then the brow ridge change and the vision changes depending on how big the brain
case is. The reason I chose the Zygomatic because it can tell us about their diet because it plays a
major role on how the cheek are defined. I chose the sagittal keel because it supports the brain and if it
doesn t then it won t be able to support the brain for long. The reason I chose the skull case is because
of the size different types of species have a different type of skull case that comes from the different
families. I selected these particular traits because for the Dental traits: Tooth row shape, Average size
teeth, Retro molars and lastly Mandibular prognathisim. The reason I chose the tooth row shape
because it can also tell us how their diet was and it could tell us what they ate. The reason I chose the
Retro molars because as the mandibles are more robust the gap closes. The reason I chose the average
size teeth was because it was able to tell us what was their diet and it could tell us a lot about where
they came from. I chose the Mandibular prognathisim because it defined the skull and how it was
different from each other like one was small.

Dystopia In Brave New World
Brave New World is a novel written by Aldous Leonard Huxley, in 1931. It talked about a future
world, the technology is highly developed, people are standardized, and they can feel satisfied easily.
However, there is no emotions, individuality, freedom and morality in the society. This essay will talk
about the reasons of the Brave New World is dystopia. Dystopia is a place where everything is totally
unpleasant or bad, it is the antonym of utopia. Brave New World described a dystopian world, because
people use soma to escape from difficulties, people in the Brave New World are enslaved, and people
do not have the abilities to think deeply.
Brave New World is a dystopia because people s satisfaction is based on soma.

For all what Levi had gone through must be the scariest experience. It started off from Levi s life how
he was pursuing his career as a Chemist, then all of the sudden, Germans just had to take over Italy
and capture many Jews as possible to either send them to camps or get rid of their life. It is
unbelievable to think about before time of Holocaust, Germans and all only do is just kill people, force

Germans who are in charge of looking after the Jews, they treat them like animals, not human being.

world. With outlets like poems, songs, stories, and even symbolic writing, civilizations have been able
to develop multiple beliefs and practices through the use of words. A piece of poetry or rather, a chant
that has become extremely significant in the cultural world of the Mazatec people comes from a piece

Sabina is most commonly recognized as a healer and spiritual leader among the Mazatec people that
became extremely prominent in their community from the mid 1950s, till her death in 1985. What
made her so well known by the people of the Sierra Mazateca, as well as the western world, was her
unique approach to the midnight vigil, or the velada, as it is most commonly known by the Mazatecs.
Álvaro Estrada recalls experiencing one of Sabina s memorable veladas with his photographer in his
biographical novel María Sabina: Her Life and Chants in the following entrance:
The simple hospitality of our hosts and their children and relatives...the chanting of María Sabina...

couple of weeks to get over the shock and come to terms with the fact I had a brother. Over the
following months we had spoken to each other through various forms of social media and instant

also really surprised by his voice as it was a lot softer than I had imagined based on his appearance
and the small amount of information I had prior to speaking to him. I also knew that he had both arms

The Effects Of Nuclear Power On The World
Deadly source of energy
There are so many sources of energy in the world. Many of these sources are abundant in the nature
and will not be extinct from the world. Solar, wind, water are gift of the nature to the humans. We
have been using these natural resources for a long time. But, we have switched into other forms for
energy resources, especially nuclear power. Nuclear power/plants have been increasing since the last
decade. The main reason why the nuclear power has been used widely is due to their low emission of
CO2 to the environment. But, the radiation due to the nuclear power plants is much deadly than the
CO2 generated from any other sources of energy. There is no need of such deadly form of energy. We
need to close down all the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Very high radiation doses can destroy body functions and lead to death within 60 days. The effects of
routine releases of radioactivity from nuclear plants depend somewhat on how the spent fuel is
handled. A typical estimate is that they may reduce our life expectancy by 15 minutes (AMASS). A
small amount of radiation can even lead to so many serious health risks it can neither be long term or
short term.. It has been proved by scientist that, if we breathe in radioactive elements for the explosion
or leaking of nuclear power station can lead to the lung cancers or sudden death due to breathing
difficulties. Studies show that people who are exposed to excess radiation had long term cancer risks

The title of the article is Factors Linked to Dominance Aggression in Dogs and has been taken from
the Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances, Volume 8, Issue 2. The page numbers for the article
are 336 342 and the publish date is 2009. The main aim of this study was to determine factors that
might be linked to dominance aggression in pet dogs. The research carried out was qualitative and
involves the use of surveys and interviews, and explores certain factors relating to a topic. Qualitative
methods, such as interviews, are believed to provide a deeper understanding of social phenomena than
would be obtained from purely quantitative methods (Gill et al., 2008). There was significant
association between certain dog behaviour patterns and higher levels of dominance aggression. As a
whole, the research method and survey appears to have been considerably well done with only a few
adjustments to be made if it were to be repeated or further investigated.
The methodology for this article has both good and bad points to consider. For example the sample
size is very large and a total of 711 dogs were involved, with an equal amount (give or take a few) of
male and female dogs taking part. Only owners with dogs older than 12 months were interviewed and
there was a mixture of both pure bred and mixed breed dogs. A total of 47

Beethoven, Ludwig Van ( 1770-1827 )
Beethoven, Ludwig van (1770 1827). He is known for some of the most influential pieces of music
ever written, Ludwig van Beethoven created a bridge between the 18th century classical period and
the new beginnings of Romanticism. His greatest breakthroughs in composition came in his
instrumental work, including his symphonies. Beethoven had a very hard childhood. He was 1 of 7
children, many of which never lived to adulthood. His family was very poor. His father was an
alcoholic with a very bad temper and was very hard on him, however this did not affect his love for
music. He became the breadwinner of the family at 18 years of age due to his father s death in 1792,
which caused their family to grow deeper into poverty.
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, however there is no actual record of his date of
birth. Beethoven got his musical training from his father and grandfather who were also musicians.
Although he had only meager academic schooling, he studied piano, violin, and French horn, and
before he was 12 years old he became a court organist. Christian Gottlob Neefe was one of his earliest
teachers. In 1787 he briefly studied with Mozart and years later left to go to Vienna to study with
Joseph Haydn.
Beethoven s first public appearance in Vienna was on March 29, 1795, as a soloist in one of his piano
concerti. He had developed a great reputation for his music before he left Bonn, Germany. Once he
reached Vienna his music grew wide popularity, and became a

Biography of Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was born April 29, 1958 to a working class family in Gary, Indiana. His parents, Joe
and Katherine had ten children and Michael Jackson was the eighth child. The Jackson family was
very musically inclined. Michael s father played guitar in a small R B band, his mother sang
frequently, and his brothers often sand and played with their father s guitar (Biography on Michael
Jackson, 2002). Michael Jackson was no exception to his family s musical ability.
At the age of four Joe Jackson pushed his children to start a band. This band was called the Jackson 5.
The Jackson 5 quickly rose to fame. The band initially started playing in local talent shows and then
landed a contract with Motown records ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dangerous was an album of New Jack Swing which was a combination of R B, Jazz, and funk. This
was the most sold New Jack Swing record of all time. Dangerous not only was significant because of
the record it broke but all profits that were earned form the tour were donated to different charities
including the charity that Michael Jackson ran (Michael Jackson Biography 2014).
Though after these successful times, Michael Jackson s public opinion turned negative. In 1993,
Michael Jackson was accused of sexual abuse by a thirteen year old boy that Jackson had known.
After a year of these allegations Jackson settled with the family for approximately twenty million
dollars, then the police investigation was dropped (Michael Jackson, 2011) and nothing more with the
case was brought up.
Not only did the sexual abuse allegations change the public s opinion of Jackson but his changing
appearance turned people off as well. Michael Jackson began changing his appearance with plastic
surgery and taking drugs to make his skin white. Michael Jackson was obsessed with the fact that he
was aging and wanted to do all he could to stop the process from appearing on his body (Rolling
Stones Articles, 2009). Michael Jackson did not oblige to these rumors he simply blamed his skin
changing from black to white on a skin pigmentation deficiency. Even as these rumors were
circulating Michael Jackson continued to make music and

Management Of Inventory Management System
Management of inventory is one of the hectic tasks that face most of the owners of retail shops. Most
of their record keeping rely on paperwork that is cumbersome and almost impossible to generate
reports from, hence a hindrance to decision making. Since the introduction of technology in the early
20th century, retailers, and stock managers have benefitted from it the most, (Davis, 1989). The
introduction of IT has seen the formation of complex and sophisticated software that manages stock at
the real time and gives regular notifications on the level of stock. The software also produces sales
reports at regular intervals that enable management to make informed decisions.

advice in case of any restocking needs. It should be able to produce reports that can be analyzed by the

System Requirements and Equipment
Since this is a single shop, the desktop software will be sufficient since entry will be from a single
point. It will not necessitate the need for a hosting package for an online system that would otherwise
create more unnecessary expenditure for the retail shop struggling with a small budget. Therefore, this
system will be based on access database that is provided by Microsoft. It will necessitate that the
following equipment is available for use at the retail shop.
i. Desktop computer this computer should have a Windows operating system installed, either Windows

installed to provide the capabilities of access and excel software. This computer should have essential

Reflection Of King Lear s Great Chain Of Being
Edmund s reflection rejects the concept of the Great Chain of Being as well as Lear s statement about
the influence astrology has over the actions of man: By all the operation of the orbs / From whom we
do exist and cease to be (Shakespeare I, i, 123 124). Throughout the play, Edmund rejects the Great
Chain of Being as well as the idea that the stars control the fate of man because both principles state
that he is less important than those around him simply because he was born a bastard, a fate that he
could not help. However, he makes an astute observation on the nature of man; when presented with
the opportunity, humans are more likely to blame someone or something else on their own faults
instead of accepting their flaws. Likewise, both Lear and Gloucester count on the stars to provide an
excuse for their children s actions because they believed that for no reason should the Great Chain be
broken; that would be impossible, for a child to rebel against his or her parent. Conversely, Edmund
denies the influence of these astrological signs and acknowledges that man is ultimately responsible
for his actions; to Edmund, those who would blame their actions on the heavens are but witless,
spineless fools.
One of the major themes of the play is the inability to see things for what they are. Lear s failure to
recognize reality set the plot into motion: He falsely believed that Goneril and Regan loved him, and
he falsely accused Cordelia of disloyalty, when in fact, she was the

The King Of Marcus Aurelius
The son of Marcus Aurelius, Commodus Antoninus, came to power in the wake of his father s death in
March of 180 CE. From the death of Marcus Aurelius came the end to the Five Good Emperors.
Commodus reign lasted from 180 to 192 CE and he described it as a golden age. (cite) However, this
was far from the truth. Commodus succumbed to the lure of self indulgence and become a
megalomaniac. Along with those two flaws, he also held deep antagonism against the Senate. (cite)
Arguably, the two most important aspects of his reign was: his identification with the demigod
Hercules and his participation in gladiatorial games. Commodus thought himself as a reborn Hercules,
he appeared in public places donned in a lion hide cloak. It was a reference to the Nemean Lion that
Hercules fought in his twelve labors.(cite) And even in the arena, a horror to the senate but possibly to
the delight of the plebs, he wore this fighting. But there was a belief held strongly by the elite that
Roman Emperors were not supposed to do this. But his love for the games was so immense he partook
in them regardless of their beliefs. Commodus participated in the gladiatorial games for his own self
indulgence and fantasies about being Hercules. To Roman elite, seeing the Emperor do this was
appalling because gladiators were not supposed to be high class; they were slaves or prisoners, and
this is reason the Roman elite disliked his behavior. Senators were forced to witness a number of these
games. It

Short Essay On The Island Of The Sea
The smell of the salty sea air greeted Harry when he walked the deck of his ship. He watched the
seagulls flying overhead with a small smile. He wore motley drawers tucked into his leather day
boots. With his red hip sash tied around his waist, and his bandanna on his head he set to work. He had
to keep the ship ruining by himself, due to being a one man crew. With ease born from repeated
routine, Harry climbed the rigging rope up the mast to check on the sails. Hades was a two masted
vessel, square rigged on both masts. She was an old style ship but Hades only ten year older than
Harry.

Ted Kennedy Rhetorical Analysis In Jfk Speech
In the library of his father s house, on July 25th, 1969, Senator Edward Ted Kennedy would make one
of the most important speeches of his political career. Th e Senator was well put together, his hair in
place and his suit pressed, impeccable. He was far away from where the accident he was to talk about
had taken place, the Chappaquiddick. A team of his best speech writers had been assembled to create
this famous speech, and the papers lay out before him upon the desk. A firm tone and folded hands
showed resolve as he began to read aloud. Ted Kennedy started his speech by setting the time and
place of the accident to the forefront of the audience s mind. He spoke of how he had left the party
accompanied by the late Mary Jo Kopechne, who Edward stated he had no prior private relationship
with, nor any knowledge of past conduct that would lead to disrespectful speculation of her character.
Edward gave a clear picture of the events that night, using descriptive information to build credibility.
He stated that he was overcome with a jumble of negative emotions, making a more personable and

The Reign Of Elizabeth I
The reign of Elizabeth I is often thought of as a Golden Age. It was a time of extravagance and luxury
in which a flourishing popular culture was expressed through writers such as Shakespeare, and
explorers like Drake and Raleigh sought to expand England s territory overseas. This sense of well
being was embodied by Queen Elizabeth who liked to wear sumptuous costumes and jewellery, and be
entertained in style at her court. But life in Tudor England did not always reflect such splendour. The
sixteenth century was also a time when the poor became poorer, books and opinions were censored,
and plots to overthrow the Queen were rife. Elizabeth s ministers had to employ spies and even use
torture to gain information about threats to her life. In 1558 the Protestant preacher John Knox wrote,
It is more than a monster in nature that a woman should reign and bear empire over man. So was he
right? Were women fit to rule the country? The people had lived through the unpopular reign of Mary
I, known as Bloody Mary for her merciless persecution of Protestants. Lady Jane Grey was Queen for
only a matter of days before being toppled and eventually executed. And Mary Queen of Scots made a
series of ill judged decisions which led her to the executioner s block in 1587. Elizabeth could be as
ruthless and calculating as any King before her. Elizabeth was a different kind of Queen: quick witted,
clever and able to use feminine wiles to get her own way. Elizabeth could be as

Frumherj Essay
Frumherj is a car inspection company in Iceland. They are one of the largest in the country, but they
want to continue to grow and to outpace their competitors. However, there are some inefficiencies in
their process that must be addressed before they can meet their goals. One of their first problems is
maintaining an even flow in their process environment. Due to the nature of the inspections and the
cold weather in Iceland, they are much more busy in the summer that they are in the winter. This
makes it difficult to keep the right amount of employees. There is little they can do to avoid this

If the company can make every base take the same amount of time, they will experience less delays as
less cars are stopped waiting for the next base to open up. There is very little correlation between the
KPIs and the process map. They KPIs are focused on measurements such as market share, customer
satisfaction surveys, and comparisons to competitor s prices. None of the KPIs focus specifically on
improving the process so there are no practical, actionable items that the employees can focus on.
Without the employees being able to see how they fit in the plan to increase the company s
performance, they can t possibly begin to innovate new ways to improve the process. Management by
means seeks to find each individuals place within the system and to continuously improve the system.
In MBM systems the employees help the management improve by offering design improvements, and
the managers, in turn, use this information to optimize the system. The problem is not that the
company doesn t have admirable goals, but rather their process isn t capable of producing the desired
results. The goals and KPIs are bold and admirable, but they are not relatable to the process that will
ultimately determine their outcome. The system will produce what it produces; you can t get more out
of a system than it is capable of making. Without

Essay On Presidential Power
The arguments made by Federalists and anti Federalists regarding the office and powers of the
presidency during the ratifying debates that followed the drafting of the Constitution in 1787 were
persuasive, but distinctly at odds. Both sides, however, sought the same thing, how best to allocate
power in a unified republic of states? From this question opposing views developed as to whether or
not a President should even exist, and if so, what powers he should be granted. I will briefly examine
the presidential powers that were primarily awarded under Article II of the new Constitution. I will
then explore the opposing arguments that arose during the ratifying debates concerning those granted
powers. I do so in the interest of offering a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

opinions of any of the heads of state departments as it relates to their respective offices. The President
also has the power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the U.S., except in cases of

Senate has consented by a two thirds majority. He may also appoint ambassadors, ministers, consuls,

President also has the power to fill vacancies in the Senate temporarily. On extraordinary occasions,
the President may convene or temporarily adjourn either or both legislative houses in the interest of

each presidential power(Colonies of Nations, 549 553). The President s power to approve and veto
laws was one of many points of contention regarding the office. Federalists like Hamilton argued for
an empowered President by claiming the power to approve and veto laws was essential to preventing
the siphoning of power from one branch of

Race Biological Theory
The theory of race is a difficult concept to grasp as there are many ideas, opinions and views on the
topic. The real question being, is race a biological idea or a social concept? According to the National
Coalition for Health Professional Education in Genetics (2016), and from a biological perspective race
is defined as a group that possess characteristic traits and gene frequencies that distinguish it from
other groups in the same species . At the same time the American Anthropological Association (1998),
defines the social concept of race and ethnicity as the identification with population groups
characterized by a common ancestry, language and custom . Just by virtue of their definitions it s clear
that regardless of the perspective there is overlapping causing the two concepts to be intertwined with
each other.
Biologically speaking, there is one race in our species know as the Homo Sapien . All Homo sapiens
have the same basic DNA structure with only minimal variations. In fact, any two humans are 99.9%
biologically identical. Even though we re all quite similar there is that 0.1% difference in our genetic
makeup. Scientists explain the biological differences in three ways: ... Show more content on

of racism that can exist we continue to maintain the social factors that contribute to the inequalities.

Analyzing The Statue Of Liberty
I selected the Statue of Liberty as my ideal piece of architecture for this building essay because of its
symbolic and historical background which makes it quite an iconic sculpture. A symbol represents an
idea; the iconic structure stands in the Upper New York Bay as a symbol of freedom not only in
America but universally. The universal notion of liberty is represented on the crown of the statue. On
the crown, the seven spikes represent the seven continents and the seven oceans in the world.
Originally, the statue was envisaged as an emblem of friendship between the United States of America
and the people of France. It signified the mutual desire for liberty between the two nations. However,
the Statue of Liberty has become much more as its

Occlusal Caries Development
The epidemiological studies in caries do not show a consistent distribution for all tooth surfaces. The
occlusal surface caries still show high prevalence compared to interproximal caries. The incidence of
caries in the occlusal surfaces of the teeth constitutes more than two thirds of all caries types. The
propensity of occlusal caries to develop is closely related with the depth and morphology of the pits
and fissures. Caries development is caused by the fact that bacteria and food accumulate in the pit and
fissures and these areas cannot be cleaned properly due to the lack of both cleansing effect of saliva
and mechanical cleaning (3).
National data indicate that 80 percent of dental caries in the permanent teeth found in children is

In this case, the patient should be referred to the dentist for restorative treatment. Also, it is
contraindicated if the pits and fissures on the tooth surface are well coalesced and self cleansing;
sealants are contraindicated because such occlusal contour are at low risk of developing caries (5)
Dental sealants can be accomplished through the use of either glass ionomer sealant (GIS) or through
the use of resin based sealants (RBS) as currently recommended by the American Dental Association.
Resin based sealants form a micromechanical bonded resin layer that acts as a physical barrier
between enamel and surface and the oral environment and thus changes the occlusal morphology (3)
Resin based sealants can be either filled or unfilled. Filler particles improve the dental sealants wear
resistance. Unfilled sealants are beneficial when high spots in the occlusion cannot be adjusted with
dental hand pieces. These type of sealants are mostly used in school based settings. Most of the
clinical studies have demonstrated that glass ionomer has lower retention rates compared with Resin
based sealants

The generation gap in King Lear by Shakespeare
One of the underlying themes in Shakespeare s play, King Lear is the concept of the generation gap.
This gap is mainly illustrated between the family. The older generation is Lear himself, and the
younger generation consists of his daughters Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. In the second plot of the
play, Gloucester represents the older generation, and his sons, Edmund and Edgar exemplifies the
younger generation. Both younger generations can be divided into two distinct groups. Goneril, Regan
and Edmund are the villains in both the plots and Edgar and Cordelia are the loyal, faithful children.
This little twist adds to the effect of the generation gap in the play. There are many comparisons that
can be made and confrontations that occur ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is apparent that the younger generation is motivated by greed, power and lust. This potentially made
them more cunning and ruthless in their actions by exploiting the older generation s vulnerability.
Edmund s desire for Edgar s half of the inheritance, shows how benevolent a human being can be. In
Edmund s soliloquy in the beginning of[Act 1 scene 2] he planned to betray both his father and half
brother by forging a letter describing Edgar s intentions on Gloucester s inheritance. Upon showing
this letter to the gullible Gloucester, he ordered to have a contract out for Edgar s head.
The daughters Goneril and Regan are inspired by their hunger for power and their lust for Edmund.
Once Goneril and Regan received their land, they immediately showed no respect to Lear, who gave
them the land. In [Act 1 scene 4] Goneril instructs her servant Oswald to show utter disrespect for
Lear. Oswald complies and enrages Lear. Soon Lear will find that his two daughters have no loyalties
to him.
As it turns out, there is no loyalties within each other. In [Act 5 scene 3] Goneril has poisoned her own
sister, in hopes of capturing Edmund s love. However, Edgar and Cordelia are exceptions to this
generalization. Their actions are very noble and they show great amounts of integrity. In the beginning
of [Act 4 scene 1] Gloucester has decided to end his own life. Edgar, knowing his father s intentions,

Tips For A Sized Stroller System That Has All The Bells...
When you have a baby, you need to have stroller, if you are ever going to leave leave your house. Of
course, you will likely want to have a full sized stroller system that has all the bells and whistles.
Many of them are like baby Cadillacs. However, full sized strollers have some major liabilities. They
are heavy. In fact, they are often so heavy that it is impossible to get them into the car, so you can push
your baby around when you get to your final destination. If you are lucky enough to win the struggle
of getting the stroller in and out of your vehicle, the next task is setting it up. That can often be a
difficult task as well. If can be enough to convince any parent to not bother with the struggle and just
stay home. Lightweight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Following are some of the factors to look at during your search for a new lightweight stroller. Type
There are two types of lightweight strollers, so your first consideration should be which one of these
two will best fit your needs. The most common type of lightweight stroller is the umbrella stroller.
This type of stroller is typically the one parents envision when they consider a second stroller that is
compact enough to take on the go. This type of stroller is generally basic and does not include any
extras that are common on full sized strollers. The other type of lightweight stroller is a bit bigger than
an umbrella stroller but not as big as a standard stroller. This type of lightweight stroller generally is
more comfortable and has a few conveniences such as under seat storage and larger sunshades. Budget
As with most items you buy, price is always a consideration. Lightweight strollers have a wide price
range, depending on the features you are looking for. It is not hard to find a lightweight stroller to fit
any budget, and it is equally as easy to find one that will break your bank account. So, it is a good idea
to set your budget before you start looking for a stroller so you can easily eliminate some choices right
off the bat. Durability Just as lightweight strollers come in a variety of price ranges, they also vary in
their durability. Before you purchase a

A Business Plan For Small Business Essay
1. INTRODUCTION
A good business plan is not only important in developing the opportunity but also essential in
determining the resources required, obtaining those resources and successfully managing the resulting
venture. Running a Business is both exciting and challenging. It requires to develop business tools for
the better with proven advice and successful strategies for small business, plus practical guidance on
how to find business funding, chose a business idea, or get your business up and running. Many
people these days prefer to open their own business but they need to do a detailed research and
consider practical things to gain the confidence of starting it in this competitive world. I recently came
across one of my family friends who is running small business in mobile truck shopping named as
Easy Shop in Auckland. Mobile truck shops trawl around different areas, selling to families door to
door. He is in his late 20 s and graduate in business administration and has been running this business
with a team of 5 for 3 years. He is a smart business runner and confident about his marketing and
strategic skills but is presently struggling to get enough profit out of his business and compete with the
potential big competitors like Home Direct and Good Guys in the market. He started off quite well
and managed to reach the profit intersection within 2 years but profits started to fall in the 3rd year
suddenly. As I am about to complete my post graduation in business

The Social Security Program of USA
Background: What is the specific policy or program? When was it established? How does it serve
older adults? (You can answer this last question in a few sentences.) For example, the program could
fund long term care, social services, or provide income support.) This does not have to be the longest
section. Social security program is a retirement program for Americans aged 65 years and over. This
consists of 92% of the entire American populace. Other beneficiaries of the program include the
disabled, unemployed and aged but the government must have a record to ascertain that only those
that are in need qualify to obtain the benefits. About 47 million Americans that fall under this bracket
collect monthly benefits. On August 14, 1935, President Roosevelt signed a law that led to
establishment of this program. This program serves older adults in various ways, for instance it offers
long term care, social services and provide income support for them. In addition to establishment of
this program, the new Act also created a social insurance program to cater for retired group of
employees aged 65 years and above entitled to receive income after retirement period (Jie Junsen,
2004). Need: Why was the policy or program established? How many are being served now? How
many more are expected to need the service in the future (over the next 30 years)? During the
inception of the Great Depression and the fall of the stock exchange market, USA suffered tremendous
economic downturn.

Code Talkers Summary
Remember back in elementary school when friends of yours would create a language or signs to have
a conversation without anyone knowing what you are talking about? Well, Code Talkers is very
similar to creating a code in school, but more intense and heightened. William R. Wilson, a writer and
photographer goes in debt to explain how the Navajo language was brought to serve as a new code in
the U.S. Military in World War II. He also writes about who the military has to use to interpret and
send out messages for militia combat plans. The author does an exceptional job at being very clear and
informative in this article.
The article first starts to discuss how the beginning of World War II was declining fast for the United
States after being hit at Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. U.S. Armed Force Officials realized the
communications between branches of military and allies were being intercepted by Japanese
cryptologers. Phillip Johnston, a civil engineer soon came to the conclusion of using Navajo Indians
language as a code for militia communication. Navajos were trained by Marine staff officers to learn
and understand the utmost important tactics of military communication. After ... Show more content

World War One and The Middle East Essays
Introduction Over the course of human history, wars have always created, destroyed or enveloped
nations, states or empires. Examples of these include the Final War of the Roman Republic, which
culminated with the Battle of Actium in 31 BCE, to the Franco Prussian War of 1871 which created a
unified German state. However, World War One is known to have had the greatest impact on human
civilization. It dragged in almost every continent into the conflict, halted global trade, led to the
demolition of four empires, and gave nationalism everywhere a boost. One interesting factor about the
First World War is the extent to which it had a tremendous impact on the Middle East. Many
westerners today would only remember it by reading Erich Maria ... Show more content on

The link to the Middle East was bridged when the Ottoman Empire decided to join the Central
Powers. Their reasoning behind this decision emanated from the fact that the Germans were seen as
guaranteed victors since they were already the most industrialized state in Europe, had the experience
of defeating France in 1871, and could move troops and equipment quickly where needed via their
vast railway network. Another second factor was the proximity of Russia and the ambitions of the
Austrians in the Balkans. Regarding the Allies, they assumed that the war would be quick and decisive
just as the Central Powers assumed as well (Implementation of the Schlieffen Plan) and had no need
for an alliance with the Ottomans but they did inhibit plans to distribute the Ottoman provinces when
the war was over amongst themselves. However, they suffered a series of setbacks. By the fall of
1914, the British, French and Germans were all bogged down in trench warfare in Belgium and
France. Furthermore in 1915, the Allies, in an attempt to alleviate the burden of fighting on the
Western Front, decided to land troops in Gallipoli with the objective of knocking the Ottomans out
from the war. The campaign ended in disaster. As a result of this failure, the British decided to
establish contact with Sharif Husayn, caretaker of Mecca and of the Banu Hashim clan, with the
promise of supporting him in the creation of an Arab

Irish Stereotypes
Stereotypes and the Monster They Make
As seen through history, people of different racial, social, ethnic, and religious groups are made into
monsters to be feared by the American media. The Irish were drawn as scary, violent drunkards who
should not be trusted. The Japanese were classified as enemy aliens, and believed to be untrustworthy.
Chinese were lazy, evil, womanizing workers stealing jobs. Xenophobia took a strong hold, causing
mass panic of the white men at the sight of the orange and yellow men. Each of these stereotypes
portrayed in the media through political cartoons created monsters in the white Americans eyes.
Irish immigrants faced a stereotype of being drunk and violent. Political cartoons were a perfect
medium for the media to infect American homes with xenophobia. Irish were drawn to look similar to
monkeys, often wielding a bottle of rum with them. Most political cartoons showed Irish fighting or
causing havoc in in white towns, communities, or homes. One political cartoon in particular is
Thomas Nest s The Unusual Irish Way of Doing Things . The Drawing featured in Harper s ... Show

This is illustrated through the popular comic, The Yellow Terror in All His Glory where a Chinese
caricature stands over a dead white woman, while he wields his gun, knife and torch. (Source 7) The

as helpless beings at the time, calling for protection from the savage Yellow Peril who lusted after her.
Chinese men were accused of everything from sex trafficking rings to rape, only causing more fear in
Americans hearts. The smoke in the background alludes to the smoking of opium that Chinese men
were stereotyped for. Opium was another taboo in America that the media often pointed out. This
paired with drinking made the American public believe the Chinese were heathens who could not be

The Plague by Albert Camus Essay
The Plague by Albert Camus
Albert Camus The Plague, takes place in the desert town of Oran, Algeria, in northern Africa. It is the
perfect setting for this story to take place. The ordinariness of Oran is contrasted with the
extraordinary business of the plague. Sprintzen points out that There is a mythic significance of Oran.
Given the previous description of the quality of Oranian life, the selection of Oran as the location for
the outbreak of plague should not come as a surprise (Sprintzen 38). In Oran, life for its inhabitants
has lost meaning. The plague offers them a chance to give meaning back to their lives. The plot of the
story is revealed in five parts, over which we see the characters undergo changes. Through ... Show

Vital living can be stifled by habits. Todd suggests that It is at this point that one should revolt against
his stultifying pattern of living. Recognition of bottomless death makes a habit bound life even more
absurd (Todd 165). Considering that they are completely unaware of anything around them, it is easy
to see that the disease captures the city completely by surprise; no one is prepared for it. Doctors
gather to discuss the matter. They have trouble naming the disease at first, and refuse to accept it for
what it is. This reflects the whole attitude of the town, as the citizens do they very same thing. Doctors
in particular are the first attempt to combat the disease. The individual efforts are valiant but have a
negligible effect. An epidemic is a problem, which belongs not to a person but to people. It becomes
apparent, however that it cannot merely be one who must oppose the plague. No matter what the
doctors do one their own, they cannot stop the dying. The number of victims lost to the plague climbs
higher and higher. Sprintzen writes The Plague does, beyond any possible discussion, represent the
transition from an attitude of solitary revolt to the recognition of a community whose struggles must
be shared (Sprintzen 103). Yet slowly at first, people begin to die, and the citizens of Oran take notice.
The residents of Oran do not need to worry about looking for society and

Medicine in Colonial Days Essay
The Colonial Period The improvement of medicine over the course of the human successes gave great
convenience to the people of today. Science has cured and prevented many illnesses from occurring
and is on its way to cure some of the most dreadful and harmful illnesses. As the world modernizes
due to the industrialization, so does the ways of medicine. Some cures are approached by chance,
some, through intense, scientific measures. Medicine has come a long way from the Greek period.

our bodies. Many of the those theories are not relevant as of now. Medicine and remedies has begun

Beginning with the newly founded nation: America, many colonial people encountered illnesses they
have never been subjected to. Despite the different times in history, there is a similarity that is still
ongoing today. Those who have little income or live in rural settings have trouble obtaining the health
they need when an illness occurs. Hospitals are either too far to reach in time or the bills are too
expensive to pay. Now, there are countries who offer free health care but it does not pertain to the land
of America. America is based on money, and the old ways of paying back someone through bales of
wheat or firewood just will not cut it.
There were doctors in Colonial America. When a doctor visits a patient to check upon the sick person
s health, their pay will be in anything but money such as chopped woods, vegetables, et cetera for the
poor people. The poor people did not have money as stated in A Visit to a Colonial Times Doctor s
Office. They usually rely on their farming to feed their families and things such as money were scarce.
Those who are of the contrary to the low income and the rural settings have better access to health and
opportunities as written in Colonial Medicine (5). They can pay their doctor on the spot and can even
request their choice of doctors. In modern America, a new change to the health care business is
arriving. With the currently new healthcare, everyone shall be able to hopefully

Pros And Cons Of 1950s Decade
I agree with the author on even though 1950s get more votes compared to other decades, however, it
still have a lot of mixed pros and cons. The 1950s sound like a great decade for many family to have a
better life because of better economy. However, there still a lot of sexism and racism which cause the
decade sound like a nightmare for an Asian girl like me. The 1950s decade is not a good decade to live
in even though it have a lot things that help family to have a better life. For example, the author give
the reader some statistics : In Philadelphia, for example, the City of Brotherly Love, there were more
than 200 racial incidents over housing in the first six months of 1950s alone (40). It is hard to even

This shows that, the only people that have a better life and find this decade is a good decade to live in
will be mostly White people. During this time racism is a very large problem. Because of these
problems many others have a difficult time to find a job, a place to live, and even have to deal with
others people bias and bad treatments. An example, The Federal Housing Authority..., refused to
insure homes in all black or in racially mixed neighborhoods (40). This means that, there were a lot of
government benefits got created only to help out the White people. Compared to today, people with
different races can receive many more benefits than when they were live in 1950. Even though, racism
still a great problem in this decade, and people with color skins will have a difficult time to survive in
this decade. Still, this time can be count as one of the most peaceful time for people with different
races. This due to how some people are defined as others , but there is only a little violent happen,

Transcontinental Airways History
Flight has become romanticized by humanity, it provides Freedom . Throughout the majority human
history, humans have used land and water for their transportation needs. The invention of the airplane
opened the use of a third medium, air. Flight only has the illusion of freeing us from earth. Airplanes
would not be able to maintain flight without their ground based systems. These systems are arranged
along flight corridors or airways. The Transcontinental Airway was the first major flight corridor
constructed in the United States. The ground systems constructed along these corridors have made
major impacts upon the landscape of the early 20th century.

There were lights to define the border of each landing strip, approach lights and red lights to mark
obstructions to be avoided.
The features found on the transcontinental were found on airways across the country. Over 18,000
miles, 15550 beacons, and 263 intermediate landing fields were built over the course of the program.
The airways crossed nearly every type of terrain the country has. The manner of lights installed and
where they were installed was dictated by the individual challenges of the terrain of each airway. It is
hard to pin a date as to when the airway system was phased out. There was no sweeping change to
cause their disappearance. Small incremental changes and advances in technology made them
obsolete.
Today remnants of the system still exist throughout the country, primarily in the west where
development pressures were lower. The airway system pioneered by the Transcontinental is still in use
today, though with a much reduced capacity, in mountainous regions of

Colonization Of The United States
Colonization in America has demonstrated all of the US history themes of exploration, encounter and
exchange in the Americas. From the beginning of colonization, in 1492 by Christopher Columbus, to
the establishment of the first American colony, Jamestown in 1607, and to the creation of the thirteen
colonies, there have been countless examples of exploration, encounter and exchange. The exploration
of vast waters and unchartered territory led to new and undiscovered land and America being
colonized. During this time of exploration, explorers encountered many new faces (including Native
Americans), crops, animals and even new lifestyles. In addition, with the increased encounters with
the explorers and Natives, there was a massive growth in exchange of goods between the Europeans
and the Natives in the Americas.
The Period of Colonization in America is widely debated, as to what years it is categorized within.
Some say it started as early as 30,000 years ago, the pre Columbus (before 1492) era, when the Asians
crossed the Bering Strait into Alaska. But there is very little written record before this time, so we don
t know much about life during this time period. Then the Vikings arrived in the year 1000. Many
believe that it started in 1492, when Columbus discovered America and landed in the Bahamas;
whereas others believe it started in 1512 when Ponce De Leon arrived in Florida (the first discovery
of, what is now, the US). The ending of this time period is even more in

Evaluate the impact of changes in the economic environment on a selected business D1 After various changes to the economic tax and interest rate, CPHP have conducted and compiled research into current public spending. The results show that there has been a dramatic reduction in the level of public spending in the UK. The changes in economic environment will affect a business, the profit of the business will be affected because its affect the price and income of a business, which are the main aspect of a business. • 3. Madagascar, Africa, By Madagascar For my county I chose Madagascar, Africa. Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world. In 2003 an index was created by the United Nations Development Program that measures successes in the categories of real income, life expectancy, and education. With that Madagascar was ranked 149 out of 175 counties. A lot of this can be due to kleptocratic rule, religion, economic colonialism, and lack of infrastructure. Madagascar is still very much a developing country with the average Malagasy (term for a resident in Madagascar) making only one US dollar per day. Even though Madagascar achieved full independence in 1960 it is still ran today as if it were a colony. While under kleptocratic rule, the dictator Didier Ratsiraka stole millions of dollars. Which in turn led to a decline in foreign investors, it discouraged private sector development, and discredited the governments trustworthiness. This country is based on natural resource extraction and economies like this or much more prone to kleptocracy. When the president Marc Ravalomanana came to in 2002 he pushed for economic reform and tried to bring foreign investors back to the country while also keeping natural resource extraction an important role in building the economy. These efforts received much praise from foreign donors but towards the end of his presidency he was confronted by Adry Rajoelina who stated he was likely to disturb peace and security . • 4. School Subculture In School A culture is created when a group comes together for a common reason. This reason can be anything from beliefs, family roots, interest, and location to values, knowledge, or any other mutual ground. Culture tends to be passed from generation to generation as children learn the expectations of family and friends (Strouse, 2001). People can be a part of multiple cultures as they have different connections to people throughout their life. Each school has a culture of its own, like a miniature society. This is part of the school climate (Ballantine Hammack, 2012, p. 216). Within this environment are many different subcultures that make up the various groups of people. In schools, these groups are the students, teachers, parents, administration, staff, and community members. The school environment constitutes a subculture within a large society. School becomes an environment that offers students the opportunity to socially express their views toward the world and socially connect with those who relate with their ideals. The students have a direct influence from their social structure that mirrors their sociological experiences within their community. Ballantine and Hammack state, The school culture reflects the immediate community in which the school is located and its students characteristics (2012, p. 216). It is important to realize maneuver commanders need reliable, fast, and accurate fire support. The use of integrated fire of artillery provides maneuver commanders flexibility and firepower and is the key to battle success in both the offense and defense. This paper will discuss how modern equipment and innovative techniques to employ that equipment shaped and controlled the entire battle space. In 1836, Texas gained its independence from Mexico. The Mexican government encouraged border skirmishes and raids while warning the United States that annexation of Texas would lead to war. Newly elected president James K. Polk initiated annexation procedures in 1844, and made offers to the Mexican government to purchase what is today the American southwest. • 9. Federalist 10 Analysis The question that is dispatched in the Federalist paper # 10 that James Madison has written is how to protect the country against factions? A faction is a group of people with the same interest opposed to the rights of the citizens or the interests opposed to the rights of the citizens or the interest of the whole community. The paper is also written on how a strong republic would protect better against the dangers then a smaller one for example, an individual state. Madison explains that in a large republic there will be many different factions, held together by regional or local interests that none of them will dominate national politics, it is important to devise a plan of government that can control the instability, injustice, and confusion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Madison believes it is a process or aftereffect of people being born with very different physical and mental capacities. In order try to remove the causes of faction are only two options: destroy free will by taking away the opinion of every citizen, passions and interests. Who are untied and actuated by some common impulse of passion or of interest, opposing of the rights of other citizens, or to the durable and collective interests of the community? There are a few things bad about faction one of those things are they will try to get they want even if it hurts others. Madison wants to create a republic. Two ways to remove factions are to destroy liberty so we can t take it away again that s why destroying liberty won t work. The system does not work today because people can have better communication around so they can have the same interests around the country. The point of the Federalist papers was to promote the ratification of the constitution. Madison believed that factions operate in their own interest and ignore the rights of other citizens and interest of the community. Americans were not aware of the division among populists and progressivists during the late 19th and early 20th centuries yet they were aware of the division between Democrats and Republicans. Populism referred to a particular political style, which expressed alienation and aggression and tend to hate Wall Street and bank interests. Progressivism was a movement of the college educated urban middle class, which valued expertise and efficiency and favored government regulation and foreign affairs. The progressives believed that if given a chance the majority of voters would elect honest respectable officials unlike those elected by the corrupt political machine but to do this they needed people to vote. So they compiled numerous methods for increasing the participation of the average citizen in political decisions. The secret ballot box, by using the method adopted by the Australians the voter would not be manipulated by the political party that would affect a voters decision by standing next to a ballot box and intimidating him or her. The progressive governor of Wisconsin Robert La Follete introduced the method of direct primaries in which the majority vote would elect the party candidates for the state and federal offices. This method was used to try to minimize the power of political bosses to try to keep the corrupt officials from gaining office once again. The direct election of state senators was also a plus for the progressives for many years the senators had been selected by the vote of the state legislature. The corrupt state legislature would then of course vote for the corrupt official for senate. After a while the senate begun to look like a club for the rich man. Based on his words, it is evident that each of the four seasons brings about both positive and negative changes that everyone must endure; whether or not these changes are openly welcomed by their recipients, they cannot be avoided. Instead of ignoring these new events and changes, it is pivotal that humans and fictional characters alike take advantage of the opportunities proposed by each of the four seasons. The Effects Of Dominance Aggression On Pet Dogs Research Methods Assessment One Critical Report The authors of this particular research paper are Joaquin Perez Guisado and Andres Munoz Serrano. The title of the article is Factors Linked to Dominance Aggression in Dogs and has been taken from the Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances, Volume 8, Issue 2. The page numbers for the article are 336 342 and the publish date is 2009. The main aim of this study was to determine factors that might be linked to dominance aggression in pet dogs. The research carried out was qualitative and involves the use of surveys and interviews, and explores certain factors relating to a topic. Qualitative methods, such as interviews, are believed to provide a deeper understanding of social phenomena than would be obtained from purely quantitative methods (Gill et al., 2008). There was significant association between certain dog behaviour patterns and higher levels of dominance aggression. As a whole, the research method and survey appears to have been considerably well done with only a few adjustments to be made if it were to be repeated or further investigated. The methodology for this article has both good and bad points to consider. For example the sample size is very large and a total of 711 dogs were involved, with an equal amount (give or take a few) of male and female dogs taking part. Only owners with dogs older than 12 months were interviewed and there was a mixture of both pure bred and mixed breed dogs. A total of 47 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His greatest breakthroughs in composition came in his instrumental work, including his symphonies. Beethoven had a very hard childhood. He was 1 of 7 children, many of which never lived to adulthood. Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, however there is no actual record of his date of birth. Beethoven got his musical training from his father and grandfather who were also musicians. Although he had only meager academic schooling, he studied piano, violin, and French horn, and before he was 12 years old he became a court organist. Christian Gottlob Neefe was one of his earliest teachers. In 1787 he briefly studied with Mozart and years later left to go to Vienna to study with Joseph Haydn. Reflection Of King Lear s Great Chain Of Being Edmund s reflection rejects the concept of the Great Chain of Being as well as Lear s statement about the influence astrology has over the actions of man: By all the operation of the orbs / From whom we do exist and cease to be (Shakespeare I, i, 123 124). Throughout the play, Edmund rejects the Great Chain of Being as well as the idea that the stars control the fate of man because both principles state that he is less important than those around him simply because he was born a bastard, a fate that he could not help. However, he makes an astute observation on the nature of man; when presented with the opportunity, humans are more likely to blame someone or something else on their own faults instead of accepting their flaws. Likewise, both Lear and Gloucester count on the stars to provide an excuse for their children s actions because they believed that for no reason should the Great Chain be broken; that would be impossible, for a child to rebel against his or her parent. Conversely, Edmund denies the influence of these astrological signs and acknowledges that man is ultimately responsible for his actions; to Edmund, those who would blame their actions on the heavens are but witless, spineless fools. One of the major themes of the play is the inability to see things for what they are. From the death of Marcus Aurelius came the end to the Five Good Emperors. Commodus reign lasted from 180 to 192 CE and he described it as a golden age. (cite) However, this was far from the truth. Commodus succumbed to the lure of self indulgence and become a megalomaniac. Along with those two flaws, he also held deep antagonism against the Senate. (cite) Arguably, the two most important aspects of his reign was: his identification with the demigod Hercules and his participation in gladiatorial games. Commodus thought himself as a reborn Hercules, he appeared in public places donned in a lion hide cloak. It was a reference to the Nemean Lion that Hercules fought in his twelve labors.(cite) And even in the arena, a horror to the senate but possibly to the delight of the plebs, he wore this fighting. But there was a belief held strongly by the elite that Roman Emperors were not supposed to do this. But his love for the games was so immense he partook in them regardless of their beliefs. Commodus participated in the gladiatorial games for his own self indulgence and fantasies about being Hercules. • 31. The Reign Of Elizabeth I The reign of Elizabeth I is often thought of as a Golden Age. It was a time of extravagance and luxury in which a flourishing popular culture was expressed through writers such as Shakespeare, and explorers like Drake and Raleigh sought to expand England s territory overseas. This sense of well being was embodied by Queen Elizabeth who liked to wear sumptuous costumes and jewellery, and be entertained in style at her court. But life in Tudor England did not always reflect such splendour. The sixteenth century was also a time when the poor became poorer, books and opinions were censored, and plots to overthrow the Queen were rife. Elizabeth s ministers had to employ spies and even use torture to gain information about threats to her life. In 1558 the Protestant preacher John Knox wrote, It is more than a monster in nature that a woman should reign and bear empire over man. So was he right? Were women fit to rule the country? The people had lived through the unpopular reign of Mary I, known as Bloody Mary for her merciless persecution of Protestants. The real question being, is race a biological idea or a social concept? According to the National Coalition for Health Professional Education in Genetics (2016), and from a biological perspective race is defined as a group that possess characteristic traits and gene frequencies that distinguish it from other groups in the same species . At the same time the American Anthropological Association (1998), defines the social concept of race and ethnicity as the identification with population groups characterized by a common ancestry, language and custom . Just by virtue of their definitions it s clear that regardless of the perspective there is overlapping causing the two concepts to be intertwined with each other. In the second plot of the play, Gloucester represents the older generation, and his sons, Edmund and Edgar exemplifies the younger generation.
