A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts Essay
A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts On the morning of September 11, 2001, al
Qaeda terrorists carried out a set of coordinated suicide attacks with four hijacked passenger
planes and killed around 3,000 people on American soil. The first two planes hit the World Trade
center and killed everyone on board and hundreds inside the buildings. Following this attack, the
nation was informed by President Bush that these attacks were, apparent terrorist attacks on our
country (http://www.history.com/topics/9 11 timeline). The third hijacked plane soon crashed into
the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., killing multiple people aboard and 125 military and civilian
personnel inside the building. The fourth plane was deliberately crashed into a field in Somerset
County, Pennsylvania, taking the lives of all the people and the crew aboard after a few
passengers tried to take the plane back from the hijackers. With thousands of lives taken and the
American people frightened and needing answers, they expected someone to deliver a speech
addressed to the nation to provide some form of comfort and guidance. George W. Bush, as
president, was the only logical rhetor to fill that need, and nine days later on September 20, 2011;
George W. Bush addressed the Nation in a Joint Session of Congress in attempt to ease Americans
concerning the terror attacks. As we examine political speeches and analyze how rhetoric devices
are used, we turn to experts William Lutz, Clyde Miller, and Carol

The Effect Of A Media Stimulus On The Perceptions Of...
Introduction Students of the class Introduction to Research Methods conducted two studies to
collect data on the perception of scientists. The purpose of the two studies conducted was to
examine the stereotypes of scientists of undergraduate Speech and Hearing Science majors, and
whether the use of media has an influence on these stereotypes. Study one was a descriptive study
that consisted of administering a Draw A Scientisttest. This was done in order to understand the
perceptions of scientists in a sample of Speech and Hearing Sciencemajors at a large research
university in the Midwest, and be able to compare the results to other literature. Study 2 was an
experimental study, conducted to analysis the effect of a media stimulus on the perceptions of
scientist. The goal of conducting two studies was to have the ability to compare the results of the
descriptive study with the experimental study in order to determine the effects of the media and
analyze certain stereotypic characteristics of a scientist. The Draw A Scientist Test was first
administered by David W. Chambers in 1983. He created the DAST in order to analyze the
stereotypes involved in people s perceptions of scientists. Seven specific attributes of a scientist
were included on the coding sheet of the DAST. These attributes included specific attributes of a
scientist: a laboratory coat, eyeglass, facial hair, symbols of research (scientific instruments and
laboratory equipment), symbols of knowledge

The Development Of The Philippines
The Philippines is located in the South East region of Asia, this region consists of other
countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and others. The Philippines would be
categorized as a developing country in stage three of the demographic transition model. With a
falling birth rate of 24.24 per every 1000 people, with a low death rate of 4.92 per every 1000
people. With a population of 107.668.231 as of 2014, their median age is 23.5 years of age
resulting in a very young population overall as seen in the population pyramid. The triangular
shape, with a large number of the population below 30 years of age. The sex ratio of the
Philippines is one male for every woman, and a life expectancy of 73 years from birth. The
Philippines has a rapidly growing population with a large increase of young people starting to
become a part of the working class (15 to 60 years of age), resulting in not enough jobs for these
people resulting in unemployment, temporary emigration or permanent emigration. The
Philippines has been lagging behind its neighboring countries such as the People s Republic of
China, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam both economically and in public education for the past
four decades. With its economy being characterized by boom bust cycles and episodes of
moderate economic growth little has helped to alleviate the poverty. Poverty among households
has increased from 24.4% to 26.9% between the years of 2003 and 2006. With the increase in poor

Hillary Clinton Sexism Essay
America is a country that prides itself on equal opportunity for all. However, the results of the
recent presidential election have demonstrated a major disparity in the equality of that opportunity.
Donald Trump, with almost no political qualifications, beat out Hillary Clinton, a highly qualified
individual, for the presidency. In addition, many scandals were attached to the Trump campaign,
mainly his disparaging comments against women. The success of his campaign, after all the
scandals, can be attributed to sexism in the general American population. Ingrained sexism in
American society constituted a major reason as to why Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election.
Women are often seen as less competent than men, even when they are equally qualified. The
number of women holding political office in the United States is dismal. Women, while... Show

infidelities of Mr. Clinton multiple times when discussing the election. However, the many sexist
and sexual comments made by Mr. Trump himself, while met with backlash, failed to sink his
campaign. The vast majority of voters, 70 percent, said that Donald Trump s behavior towards
women was a problem. In spite of this, 30 percent of the people who said that voted for Trump.
While many people saw Mr. Trump s actions as inappropriate, they did not see them as affecting
his leadership abilities. However, the actions of Bill Clinton were taken into account in Hillary

A food stylist prepares the frozen beef patties for the camera. The filming crew first spends two
hours setting up lights that will flatter the burger. The stylist begins burning flame broiling stripes
into the hamburger patties by using a special branding iron. The stylist then paints the stripes with a
dark steak sauce. Next, the stylist sprinkles salt on the burger so that when it passes over the
flames, natural juices will rise to the meat s surface.(Par.2)
Once branded, retouched, and juiced, the director films the burgers from different angles as they
move along a conveyor belt broiler. When the meat is broiled, blood rises to the surface in small
pools. The stylist dabs at the bubbling blood with a Q tip so that is doesn t look undesirable to TV
viewers. (Par.3)
Before the patty passes over the flame a second time, the stylist maneuvers a small electric heater
about an inch above the burger. This heats up the natural fatty juices until they begin to steam and
sizzle. Otherwise, puddles of grease will cover the meat. (Par.4)

If you look at a real Whopper closely, you ll discover that the flame broiling stripes are only on
the top side of the beef patty. Hamburgers are sent through the flame broiler once and never flipped
over. But on television commercials, the beef patty is fetchingly covered with flame broiled stripes.

Analysis Of The Article Volunteerism Among Homeless...
The article, Volunteerism among Homeless Persons with Developmental Disabilities, by Larry G.
Morton II and Giovanina Gardiner conducted the study in at George Warren Brown School of
Social Work, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. The researchers discuss about the
adults hardships and struggles these individuals are exposed to on a daily basis. In addition, this
vulnerable population is excluded from mainstream society. The authors that conducted this study
did a comparison on homeless individuals who were diagnosis with a developmental delay to
determine if there is a correlation between volunteerism and community integration. Furthermore,
the intent of this article is to take Bowgett s study a step further by reporting the level of
volunteerism in an urban sample of homeless persons with developmental disabilities. The research
question is does volunteerism suggest healthy community integration among this ample of
homeless persons with developmental disabilities? ( (Gardiner, Morton, Cunningham Williams,
2010, p. 2). In fact, the demographics of this article were citizens residing in two suburban St.
Louis city public parks. Also, the following stipulation include: being age eighteen or older, having
received special education services for development disabilityduring their educational career, and
being currently homeless ( i.e. staying outdoors, in a shelter, temporarily doubled up in another s

The Potential for a Severe Food Shortage in the United States
A severe shortage of food in the United States could occur from many causes. Farms could stop
growing crops and breeding animals. Some sort of bacteria could sweep through the country
killing different food plants. The more important part of the shortage of food however would not
be the causes, but the effects. The stance of the country s economy, the well being of middle and
lower class families, and the quality of stores that used to sell the products would all decline greatly
if an event as severe as an extreme shortage of foodwere to occur. General stores generate a large
profit from the sale of food. Some stores like Whole Foods and King Soopers do not sell much
besides food products. If there were to be a severe shortage of food, stores like Whole Foods,
Walmart, Costco, and King Soopers would take a severe hit in terms of income and the ability
to compete with other stores. Places like these would not be able to keep up financially if there
were a lack of people buying their food products. There are other non food products that these
stores may sell, but these other products would not be able to sell due to the fact that people
would be focusing more on ways to get food rather than buying a new T.V. or a new pair of shoes.
Families in cities rely on general stores and health food stores to obtain food products. A severe
shortage of food throughout the country would raise potentially difficult questions for families.
Where are they going to get food now that stores

The Homelessness Of The United States
Ending Homelessness
Homelessness in the United States can be ended, not just maintained. Allot of cities now have plans
to eradicate homelessness. Homelessness and housing instability are large issues that afflict a
diverse demographic such as: Families, youth, veterans, and chronically homeless single male
adults. Ending homelessness may require specialized solutions that are specific to individual needs.
Factors like these make defeating homelessness a difficult task. Although solutions exist for some
of the demographics, such as housing for chronically homeless adults, scaling up best practices
remains a challenge. For other subpopulations, such as transitional aged youth, evidence based
interventions need to be developed. In this paper we argue that ending homelessness is a Grand
Challenge that is big, important, and compelling one that the profession of social work should be
adopt. Meeting this challenge will require a focused, organized response from social work
researchers, clinicians, and policymakers. Ending homelessness will require innovation and
interdisciplinary or cross sector collaboration. Key words: Housing First, Permanent Supportive
Housing, rapid re housing, prevention, poverty. The notion that homelessness in the United States
can be ended, rather than managed (Mangano, 2002; National Alliance to End Homelessness,
2012), represents a fundamental shift in expectations from the 1980s and 90s. Since the early
2000s, researchers, policymakers, advocates,

New York Jets: What position should they first address in 2018 NFL Draft? With their first pick

Draft experts say this up and coming quarterback class is the best since the 1983 class, which
featured Hall of Famers John Elway, Jim Kelly, and Dan Marino. It is vital that the Jets do so
rather than wait until the later rounds of this particular draft because in the same fashion other
teams are in need at the quarterback position as well. In many mock drafts, experts have an
amazing total of six Quarterbacks, who could be taking in the first round alone. In no particular

a QB last year as well. It was a draft pick that raised a lot of peoples eyebrows as he took Penn
State s Christian Hackenberg in the second round. Experts as well as the Jets fanbase were truly
shocked by the pick. Cause many experts didn t even have Hackenberg being drafted. Thus far
both quarterbacks have yet to make any significant impact. Therefore, it is significantly crucial
for the third year GM to select one of this year s highly touted quarterbacks with his very first
pick in the upcoming 2018 draft which will be held in April 26 28 at AT T Stadium in Arlington
Texas. I really feal that this is the draft gang green will indeed land themselves a franchise, high
caliber and spectacular type quarterback. They no longer will need to worry about the position
for at least another ten years. Prior to the Jets pick which is currently at number seven with one
more week of games left to play. The top two quarterbacks of the six we mentioned Sam Darnold
of USC and Josh Rosen from UCLA will surely not be available as they are predicted to be the
top two overall picks. In the event that the draft order stays the same, their could be another

Merchandise management is one of the most important aspects ... Show more content on

The basic unit of analysis for making merchandise management decisions is the merchandise
category (Levy Weitz, 2009), these are groups of items and brands that consumers see as direct
substitutes for one another, and for example different brands of milk cheese make up the dairy
category. These categories can be managed either by category or by brand; both of these approaches
have advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of category management are that management
can ensure that the category containing the best combinations of vendors or brands and sizes.
Store layout with regard to merchandise has a direct impact on the positioning of the store. The
retailer needs to decide how much store space to allocate towards a specific product category and
how much space must be allocated towards isles and advertising space. This is especially
important with regard to seasonal products such as Easter Eggs or other Easter merchandise. The
differences in the placement of these seasonal items between the different Spar shops will be used
to determine the difference in sales of those items.
3.1INVENTORY
Increasing inventory turnover is a cornerstone to improving the sales volume and therefore the net
revenue of the retailer. Inventory turnover is especially important for perishable goods such as
fruit and vegetables. This is because these types of merchandise quickly turn bad and get damaged
after being handled for too long or from being under the

First Person Narrative Essay
The first person narrative is a story told from the first person perspective. The narrator is speaking
directly about him or herself. The first person narrator can be either subjective or objective. The
third objective narrative is a story told by a nonparticipating character. The narrator is usually
detached from the story. Sometimes, the narratorcompletely penetrates the mindof a character. Third
person narration is often used in documentaries. The omniscient narrators are often not part of the
story but are all knowing observers. These narrators tell the reader all the facts we need to know to
fully understand the story. Since the woman thinks that she is seeing a ghost, I would use the first
person narration. This way the camera can capture all the action through her eyes and emphasizes

The story might be told by a group of people or just one person. For instance, the story can be
created by the producers, the directors, and the writers working together. However, in a film with
voice over narrative, the off screen narrator is usually also a character in the story but not always.
The narration in realist movies is almost invisible. The story unfolds by itself in a chronological
order. The narration in classical movies is more obvious. There is a discreet storyteller who help
direct the story and keep everything on track. In formalist movies, the narrator is manipulative.
The narrator often destroys the chronological order of the story and restructures events to
emphasize a point. The narration in The Usual Suspects is conspicuous. Verbal Kint is the narrator
as well as one of the main characters in the film. He is manipulative because the story is told from

The Struggle For Self Occeptance In Boys And Girls By...
Every individual struggle with self acceptance at some point in their life, furthermore, every
individual chooses to exemplify their struggle to accept themselves in different methods. In the
short story Boys and Girls Alice Munro focuses on the narration of a girl, in which girls are
underappreciated in the society. The protagonistin the story cannot accept who she is, and it makes
it harder for her as other individuals do not accept who she wishes to be. The author demonstrates
this through the character s external motivations. As the story is written in third person limited
readers understand the girls personal thoughts and how she is internally conflicted about who she
is. She feels underappreciated for the work that she provides which influences her to be disobedient
to others around her. Alice Munroe s short storyBoys and Girls demonstrates to readers that
individuals struggle for self acceptance through the expression of their external and internal
motivations. Because of their motivations, individuals feel rebellious against their self conscience.
Many individuals feel influenced from their relatives or friends to act and be a certain way to be
accepted in their society, this causes them to react and respond in a certain way. In the short story
Boys and Girls , the protagonist struggles to gain self acceptance because of other people around
her influencing the ways in which she should live. The girl much prefers to work outside with her

Pew Research Article Summary
Americans receive many messages about support for gay rights ranging from clergy to gay men;
however, some are ambivalent, or undecided on the issue because of the numerous messages that
they are given (Garner 2013: 243). Andrew Garner wanted to test if contact with gays and lesbians
would elevate or decline levels of ambivalence among American s opinions about gay rights (241).
While this research question could be discovered in the abstract, the author never states the research
question clearly. Garner does provide immense detail about previous studies; however, he lacks
clear justification for the study, and the support he provided had to be collectively assumed rather
than explained. Assumingly, he argues that by understanding how gay... Show more content on

To test this hypothesis, he uses Pew Research Center for the People and the Press s 2004

member who is gay, while the main survey asked two separate questions concerning how strongly
respondents support same sex marriage and acceptance of homosexuals as a way of life. Contact
is measured as a dichotomous or dummy variable indicating whether or not the respondent knew
someone who is gay, (249). The survey also asks questions about race, party identification, and
religious affiliation (249 250). Garner then describes how the variables are coded, are applied to

Reasons For Legalization Of Prostitution
The legalization of prostitution has been a debatable topic over the years. There are differing
viewpoints on the reasons for legalizing prostitution as well as the causes of legalizing
prostitution. In the majority of the world today, there is a high level of demand for prostitutes as
well as the services they render. Because prostitutes are exposed to a bacterial cornucopia of
sexually transmitted diseases, many of them often contract a wide variety of these diseases. Many
prostitutes are abused each year. However, because these prostitutes usually fear law enforcement,
most of this systemic abuse goes unreported (Wurth et al. par. 2). Prostitutionproduces an abundance
of money that is never taxed, yet this untapped tax revenue could produce economic growth for
states that legalize prostitution. However, legalizing prostitution has the potential to create a safe,
controlled environment that would benefit not only the prostitute, but it would benefit society as
well. Making prostitution illegal creates an uncontrolled environment which does not require
prostitutes to use protection. If prostitution remains illegal, then it will continue to be less likely
that prostitutes will use protection. According to the journal of the international AIDS society,
11.8% pooled HIV prevalence among female workers in 50 countries (Wurth el al. par. 1). These
numbers could decrease if the prostitution occurred in a controlled environment. In Nevada, this
strategy can be seen in

Intimate Apparel
Critique
Lynn Nottage s Intimate Apparel follows the life of Esther Mills, an African American
seamstress in the year 1905. Esther s diligence in her personal business of creating women s
underwear connects her with the rest of the cast to create a riveting story full of plot twists.
Multiple aspects of the play come together to portray how Ester overcomes social roles on her
course to find true love. Given the time of the play and gender of the main character, the
reoccurring themes in this play revolve around Esther. Being an African American female in the
early 1900 s, times were hard. She had become a very successful seamstress and was able to
provide for herself. After many years of hard work, Esther had saved a small fortune in her quilt
to build toward her dreams of creating her own beauty salon where African Americans will
receive the same level of care as whites. This, along with her other dream of falling in love and
getting married, is all she has worked for. Once George, a laborer from overseas who
unexpectedly began writing love letters to Ester, had moved in and was looking for work,
Esther felt the need to accept the gender roles of time and give up her life savings in order to
help George make something of himself. George tore open her quilt without a care for her
feelings and was only focused on himself. He then goes to gamble it all away with Mayme, a
prostitute who happens to be one of Ester s customers.

Shingles Research Paper
Shingles Shingles is a disease that one out three people in the United States will likely develop.
It usually develops in elderly men and women. Shingles is a virus that is similarly to chickenpox.
If a person has had chickenpox, then he or she will likely develop shingles. Shingles is known as
zoster or herpes zoster, and an estimated 1 million cases occurs each year in this country (Centers

are noticeable signs and symptoms associated with shingles. It can have a major impact on an
individual s life, when detected. Other issues surrounding shingles are its environmental and

In the later stages, an infected person experiences itching and tingling, pain, rashes, and blisters.
The rash can appear within a few days, or within weeks later. A rash can appear anywhere on the
body, but will be on only one side of the body, the left or right. The rash will first form blisters,
then scab over, and finally clear up over a few weeks (WebMD, 2015). Pain and the rash are the
telltale signs of shingles. Usually the rash is more painful than it is itchy. The shingles virus
attacks the nerve roots in the skin. Nerve roots in the skin are located on both sides of the body.
The rash usually affects the middle of the back towards the chest. It may affect the face around
one eye. It is possible to have more than one area of rash on the body. When the virus becomes
reactivated, it travels up the nerve roots to the area of skin supplied by those specific nerve roots.
This is why the rash can wrap around either the left or right side of the body (WebMD,

The weather that volcanoes make is a rare sight to see. This includes lightning. It also can affect
weather for over years to come. The debris that comes from the eruption acts like billions of tiny
shields that reflect the Sun s light away and plunge winter temperatures down. The volcanic

Cobb s Explosion
This setting has not been show in the film previously, therefore, the director intended this to
show the viewers that they may not be in reality. Cobb s question can also make the audience
think of their own dreams, and that they probably also only remember the middle of it, and gives
the realization that reality is a relative concept, because it gives the idea that there is no objective
reality. A hyperbolic sound of the table and cutlery rattling symbolizes that Ariadne realizes she is
dreaming, as her panicking results into the dream being disturbed. After a slight moment, the
streets, and side stores begin exploding one by one in slow motion, giving a reassurance that this
really is a dream, because in reality explosions do not occur in... Show more content on

As the hallway is continuously rotating 360 degrees showing Arthur and an enemy constantly
fighting, it causes questions to rise within the audience such as; How did the director manage to
successfully create this zero gravity scene? How did the cameraman manage to shoot this scene
if he was rotating too? The director planned and directed this scene this way in order to make the
audience ask these questions to themselves, because it causes curiosity as to how this scene was
made since it looks so realistic and unique. This scene created an effect on me, because I was
very fascinated in how they achieved this scene as I have never watched a scene like this one
before. This scene created suspense for me, because I was constantly wondering what was going
to happen next, and was thinking were they going to fail the mission? Or will it be a success?
Will the zero gravity negatively affect them? Because I have never watched a scene like this in
other films, it made me more intrigued than I already was from the previous scenes. The director
s intent to create this zero gravity scene was to symbolize the aspect of the sci fi genre of this
movie, as it could link to futuristic science and technology which is an aspect of sci fi films. He
also intended the dim lighting in order to symbolize the aspect of

Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Peoples
A third consideration in regard with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is the
meaning of sovereignty. The discourse on sovereignty is obscure and non reflexive. It situates itself
somewhere between moral axiology, social ideology and political and legal authority. The link
between sovereignty and politics within the public discourse often mask oppressive power relations
between Indigenous and non Indigenous people (Prokhovnik, 2015). Furthermore, the mainstream
political discourse undoubtedly takes sovereignty as though it really were an uncontested
foundation , which erases the significance of the Indigenous as the first nations (Prokhovnik, 2015,
p. 415). For the settlers, perhaps their self importance as imperialists was more valued than
embracing new notions of nationalism (Ward, 2001). For them, the establishment of colonies
represented the expression of the external power of sovereign European states, even if only possible
as a result of conquest, and their colonies were considered sufficient justification for the imposition
of sovereign power (Patton, 1996, p. 149). Unfortunately, this unresolved ambivalence about the
colonisation of Australiahas also left the peoples of this country with an ambivalent identity
(Connors, 2001). The white Australian sovereignty was first granted by an Act of the Parliament of
the UK in 1901, then was recognised as an independent dominion in 1931 (Prokhovnik, 2015). In

Government Of Guatemala Research Paper
The Government of Guatemala
Guatemala has a government just like ours. A constitutional democracy is where there is a head
of the country, the president, who will work with the three branches of government the Judicial
branch the branch who carries out the laws. The Legislative branch makes the laws, and the
Executive branch enforces the laws. When the legislative branch passes a bill it has to pass
through the house and senate and then goes to the president who makes it into a law or he can
veto it so it doesn t become a law.
Just like our government the president is in control of the army so he enforces the laws. If
someone breaks the laws they can sometimes go to the Supreme Court where they decide his or her
fate.

Essay about Johann Sebastian Bach
Johann Sebastian Bach
Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21st 1685. He is the son of Johann Ambrosius. For
many years, members of the Bach family had held positions such as organists, town
instrumentalists, or Cantors.
When Bach was eight years old he went to the old Latin Grammar School. He was taught reading
and writing, Latin grammar, and a great deal of scripture, both in Latin and German. The boys in
the school formed the choir of the St. Georgenkirche. This also gave Bach an opportunity to sing in
the regular services, as well as in the nearby villages. He has an uncommonly fine treble voice.
During this period Bach attended the Gymnasium of Ohrdruf, which had become one of the most

By now Bach had high ideals for the church music of Germany. He began organizing the rather
poor facilities of Muhlhausen; he started by making a large collection of the best German music
available, including some of his own. The first result of these efforts was his cantata Gott ist
mein Konig . This, incidentally, was the only one of Bach s cantatas to be published during his
lifetime. This success gave Bach the hope to put in a long and detailed report, proposing a
complete renovation and improvement of the organ. The council agreed to carry the proposals out,
and Bach was given the job as supervising the work, for not only now was he a brilliant player, but
he became an expert on constructing organs.
The court orchestra consisted of twenty two players. Bach s function was mainly a violinist,
however he also played harpsichord. Bach, on occasion, wrote some of the music that was played.
During this period he wrote strictly for the organ, and he was rapidly becoming known throughout
the country. As time went on, people were coming to see him far and wide.
During the later years of his life Bach gradually withdrew inwards, producing some of the most
profound statements of the baroque musical form. Bach s creative energy was conserved for the
highest flights of musical expression: the Mass in b

Nietzsche s Genealogy Of Morals
During the late 19th century, Friedrich Nietzsche examined the history of morals in his
Genealogy of Morals. In his work, Nietzsche reveals the origin of morality, and he goes further to
tear down the basis of Christianity and Kant s Moral Law to show that there is a plurality of
conflicting morals in society. Max Weber, who was a philosopher greatly influenced by Nietzsche,
writes further on the plurality declaring that there is a polytheism that is the result of many
conflicting values. Weber concludes that there is no science of ethics after Nietzsche, so there is
no way to determine the correct value system. There is currently polytheism and a plurality of
values that will not be resolved because all values are valid despite them conflicting... Show more

In this new polytheism, conflict rages between different gods, and it will go on for all time. It is
as it was in antiquity before the world had been divested of the magic of its gods and demons,
only in a different sense (Science as a Vocation p. 23). The contemporary polytheism is similar to
the ancient one in that it consists of conflict; however, in neo polytheism, the gods are
impersonal forces. There is no magic or personal gods in this new system. There is just
conflicting value systems where each value system is equally valid. This is a difficult reality for
people to digest due to the blinding strength the Christian church has on people. Christianity led
people to believe that there was only one way to live. Any other value system was wrong in the
eyes of Christians. People will become more aware that there is a plurality of value systems, and
that each set of values can be considered just as valid as the next: The destiny of our culture,
however, is that we shall once again become more clearly conscious of this situation after a
millennium in which our allegedly or supposedly exclusive reliance on the glorious pathos of the
Christian ethic had blinded us to it (Science as a Vocation p. 24). People will learn to move away
from the ethics laid forth by Christianity and, in the face of polytheism, make their own

Probate Process Analysis
The process of probate involves proving the validity and legitimacy of a will. This only happens
after someone dies and an interested party files the will with the local probate court. The court
reviews the will and decides whether it is valid or not. That is probate in simplest form. But,
often probate is not so simple. Admitting the Will for Probate The first step to the probate process
is admitting the will. In Texas, this is done by submitting an application for probate with the
probate court. The person filing the application can be a spouse, a child, a parent, or any other
person named in the will. There is only a limited period between the time the person dies and the
time the will can be admitted to the probate court. The courts

Dr. Bernard, Canada s Nine Non Partisan Senators
Introduction In October 2016, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau named Nova Scotia s Wanda
Thomas Bernard as one of Canada s nine non partisan senators (Williams, 2016). According to
Semansky (2016), Dr. Bernard, who serves as the university s special advisor, diversity and
inclusiveness, [is] the first African Nova Scotian woman to serve in the Senate Chamber (para. 2).
In response to the news, Bernard has stated that equity for all is [her] primary goal in life. To be
able to enter the Senate with that perspective and contribute to the country is an incredible
privilege, one that [she] knows [she] will be accountable for (Semansky, 2016, para. 7). While

In this section, I will briefly discuss the effects of Trudeau s Senate reforms and argue that reform is
better than abolishment. Trudeau s three phased Senate reforms give minority group leaders an
opportunity to represent their communities. The reforms attempt to shift the focus from gaining
support for the Liberal party, to a collection of different and diverse minds within the Senate. The
first phase of the reforms focused on the [removal of] all senators from the national Liberal caucus ,
which inherently suggested that senators [no longer] have formal or organic ties with the Liberal
caucus, nor do they have any organizational, financial or other formal responsibilities within the
Liberal Party (Dion, 2015, para. 5). Going from there, the [creation of] a new, nonpartisan, merit
based, broad and diverse process to advise the prime minister on Senate appointments was the
second item on the agenda (Dion, 2015, para. 6). Finally, the third phase targeted the inclusion of
marginalized groups, such as women and minorities, in the Senate (Dion, 2015). Therefore, Trudeau
s appointments are changing the direction of the Senate to include historically oppressed minorities
and their representatives. That being stated, one particular argument that has been raised in
opposition to Senate reforms is that the upper house is no longer relevant and should be abolished
(Maclean s, 2013). The website suggests that

Keeping A Healthy Lifestyle On Food Intake
Introduction Our bodies need certain things in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Food is a
key ingredient to helping sustain our health throughout our life. When looking at our diet, we
need to look beyond total calories consumed. Instead, we need to break the foods down into the
different molecules that provide our body the proper nutrients to thrive and grow.
Macronutrients are required by our bodies to properly function, and are needed for growth and
energy. These macronutrients consist of proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates which we obtain
from the foods we eat. Tracking food intake is one way to analyze how food consumption meets,
exceeds or falls short of recommended values. Through behavior modification and small,
specific goals, positive dietary changes can help maintain long term health. Proteins are the
building blocks of our bodies. From DNA to muscles, protein is a major part of our bodies.
Protein is found in meats, poultry, dairy, nuts, and fish. Each gram of protein we eat consists of
4 calories. Proteins are made up of amino acids, known as the building blocks of proteins. There
are 20 amino acids, 9 of which are essential, since they are only obtained from the food in our
diet. The other 11 amino acids are considered non essential because our bodies have the ability to
create these amino acids. Lipids, or fats, are important to our bodies. Lipids in our diet come from
foods such as meats, nuts, dairy and oils. Each gram

keyword here is sprouted: sprouting any grains, legumes or seeds neutralizes phytic acid and

enzymes in the actual seed but can also inhibit your own enzymes once ingested. Hemp seeds in
this powder are not sprouted as they do not contain any harmful phytic acid and are easily

Gender Roles And Social Construction
Gender roles have influenced our society our whole lives, without us realizing it. They determine
the way in which we, as members of society, behave among others and what is deemed socially
acceptable and what is not, all based on our gender. From the moment children take their first
breaths, they are exposed to the genderroles society has set. This is all part of a social
construction to categorize the two genders into believing that they should act in a particular
matter, using toys as an advertising method. If the baby is a female, parents will opt to dress her
in pink or purple, classifying the child as girly . However, if the child is male, parents will often
opt for blue and green, avoiding pink in order to confirm the masculine gender by society s
standards. Even as kids, a girl will automatically head to the pink side of the toy store, just as a
boy would head to the blue section due to their pre exposed view of society. The social
construction predefines a societies belief, thoughts, and what they consider a norm. As part of a
community we take in what is expected of us, and try to attribute one self into that specific
norm. So in some ways the dramaturgical theory plays a big part in a person s daily life. Due to
constantly being told how to behave by those around us, we develop a role in life some might call
a type of theatrical performance (Conley 2013:139). An individual can get so wrapped up in what
society expects from them that they embody that

Disabilities may seem like a big deal, and they are, but they have nothing on the love of two

nothing can get in the way of brotherly love, not even death.
Everyone thought he wouldn t survive, but Doodle beat the odds. Some think he survived because

symbolism of life and hope. He lived, and because he beat the odds, the other characters, and even

Earthquake Experience Essay
My experience with massive earthquake.
3 years ago, I had experience of massive and repeated aftershock and tremor. It was Saturday in the
morning, it was official holiday of our nation. I and my family were living at the heart of
Kathmandu, a city full of historical monuments. It was unforgettable days for me. It was black day
of the nation. It was worst natural catastrophes that I ever encounter. The lesson that earthquake
gave me was to live life satisfyingly and prepare for what s coming.
During the period of incident, I was living in down floor apartment of four stored building with my
mother and sister. The house was recently built. The surrounding houses were old which were
built in primitive way. In Saturday, it was good sunny day and holiday we were having launch
with my mother and sister. My father was living in abroad. We all had plan for the holiday, I was
planning to meet my friend, my sister was having her board exam and shoe was more into study.
But before we move out of home, disastrous earthquake occurred.
At 10:56 am, we all family were together having launch. Suddenly, the earth shook and all the
utensil started moving and the wall swayed violently. The intense shake causes lose my balance
and my mother shouted to me and my sister to hide with her inside the table. Seconds later, I heard
could hear the sound of the ground, the house falling down, the screaming of people. Even after
minutes it earthquake started swaying and shaking like it has been intensely intoxicated. There was
no way to get out of house, as gate used to be locked as usual during turbulence.
After the earthquake, we moved outside the ground, many aged houses had turned into dust and
rubble hovering around the whole city. People alive inside the destroyed building were crying
for help and assistance. Seeing all the body covered with stone and brick made me cry as if I
was having a worst nightmare. The adrenaline rush began when I saw the people whom I used to
talk were buried inside the bricks and all I could see was their hands, legs. It was impossible to get
the body out from the ripped foundation.
When I took a glance at the surrounding, people were scrambled like a colony of ants, looking for

The Evolution Of Health Care
What is quality in health care? We can divide it into three elements:
1. Care by practitioners and other providers which means receive correct diagnosis and an
appropriate strategy of care from practitioners; and convenience, comfort, quite, privacy, food etc.
from care providers.
2. Care Implemented by patient that means patient should take care not only for him or herself but
also for his or her family. It is patient s responsibility if he or she succeed or fail of getting health
care.
3. Care received by community as the whole. People should judge the social distribution of
levels of quality in the community. It depends on who has an access more or less to care and
after having access, receiving it in good or low quality. The evolution of health care in the
United States started over 300 years ago. It is divided into six main important eras: the
charitable, the educational era, the insurance era, the government era, the managed care era and
the consumerism era. The charitable includes period from about 1700 to about 1830. In the
beginning of this period, health care was provided voluntarily in public houses mostly for needy
citizens. Those who had money could afford seen or treated at homes. The firs hospital was built
in Philadelphia in 1752, after about 40 years hospital in New York opened their doors for people
who need a treat. At the same time in New York state passed licensure act that person who wants to

Hypocrisy In To Kill A Mockingbird Analysis
Hypocrisy in To Kill a Mockingbird In her coming of age novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper
Lee explores how the precocious protagonist, Jean Louise Scout Finch, struggles to fit into her role
as a lady and has a difficult time coming to terms of the cruelty as well as the injustice her Southern
town displays through discrimination. Scout resides with her family in Maycomb County, Alabama
in the 1930s a town severely divided by color. She goes through a breathtaking metamorphosis
throughout the novel when her father Atticus defends a Negro man accused of rape, exposing her
to the true roots of human behavior. Through the use of settings, characterization, and ironies, Lee
implies that hypocrisy is a tragic act to be involved in; it can... Show more content on

Another hypocritical scene occurs in the novel when the people of Maycomb make untrue
judgements about the Radley Place and its inhabitants. For instance, Scout states, The shutters
and doors of the Radley house were closed on Sundays, another thing alien to Maycomb s ways:
closed doors meant illness and cold weather only (11). It is duplicitous of the townspeople to
scrutinize the Radleys based solely on town gossip and the appearance of their home. The
Radley home is intentionally used as an excuse by the townspeople to isolate the Radleys since
their way of living is not considered normal in their eyes. Overall, numerous reasons can be
found why people tend to be hypocritical; it is evident as to why many possess this quality in
Maycomb. Lee uses characterization, a crucial literary device, to display to readers the lethal
effects of hypocrisy in society. As Miss Maudie said, Mockingbirds don t do one thing but make
music for us to enjoy. They don t eat up people s gardens, don t nest in corncribs, they don t do
one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That s why it s a sin to kill a mockingbird (119). Despite
his innocence and role of a mockingbird, Tom was condemned guilty of rape and shot 17 times.
Mayella herself believes in beauty in an ugly world yet her heinous actions caused her to be a part
of that ugliness. Humans often appear to be hypocritical when they attempt to prove a point, yet

Introduction. How Alike Are Great Britain And Franceв
Ђ™S
Introduction
How alike are Great Britain and France s political systems to one another? The British system has
had a lot of gradual steady changes throughout the years. While, the French political model has had
more dramatic radical changes, until about 1958. In 1958 Charles de Gaulle changed the
constitution and set the precedent for the modern semi presidential system that we see today. In this
paper, I will be comparing both systems to one another and point out their huge similarities.
Great Britain
The United Kingdom has a Westminster Model which is a democratic constitutional monarchy. The
United Kingdom has a constitution that is unwritten that consists of having conventions along with

A vote of no confidence can be called if any government sponsored bill is defeated in the
Commons. If the vote of no confidence is passed, the Prime Minister must either resign, or ask the
monarch to dissolve parliament, and call a general election. Basically, since a government usually
holds a majority in the Commons, and party whips try to ensure that party members support the
government, governments are likely to win all but the most controversial votes. However, if a
government doesn t have a large majority, then it can bring backbench members of parliament into
line, and call three line whips; votes that are compulsory for members of parliaments to attend.
PARLIAMENT The Parliament of the United Kingdomof Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the

Noam Chomsky Consent
Journal on The Manufacture of Consent
In Noam Chomsky s film I have learned quite a few things about life in a
democratic society. This film has made think in a three dimensional way for whom is
really right, Noam Chomsky or those who he calls quot;Elites quot;. I have come to the
conclusion that Noam Chomsky is right, for his claim is very convincing which is
that the media is controlled by the elites who determine what the public should
know. How exactly does Chomsky prove all this to make sense? Well, he
explained that the governments, corporations and the other elites manufacture the
consent of the public to serve their own interests.

This is why the average
Joe will let the elites control on what they hear and how they will be controlled

Another thing I would like to talk about is that Noam Chomsky is a type of
person who wont let nothing get in his way, for example: It was said that he risked
his career and life for the sake of other people. This is one of the reasons why I
would respect him. He could have put his whole family down the drain, but
somehow he came out on top. I could tell he was a man who is not only itelligent,
but also a man of great courage and caring for those in need, like those of East
Timur. If it wasnt for him, I would bet that more than half the class would of
never heard about what was going on in East Timur. The reason why I believe he
made film was that he wanted to help the people of East Timur or else he wouldn t
have put it on the film. He wanted the viewers to see the tragedy of East Timur,
for he believed that the only way to work out problems was from the outside and
this I think, he meant us the viewers to spread the word for we are a democratic
society and we control the government and not the government control us.

The Benefits Of Serotonin
Serotonin is a hormone and neurotransmitter found in tissues, including blood platelets, central

It helps regulate everything from our moods, appetite, sleep, sexual desires, temperature, memory,

tries them. You can increase your levels of serotonin in natural ways, including eating foods that are
high in serotonin like walnuts, bananas, and pineapple to mention a few. Also, eating foods high in
tryptophan, an amino acid found in high protein foods, can help increase these levels. You can also
take serotonin supplements, such as herbs, vitamins, minerals, and many more. Along with
tryptophan, another amino acid used to boost levels are 5 HTP. This amino acid can be converted
into serotonin and melatonin, both used in treating depression and insomnia. You can also simply
boost your serotonin by changing simple lifestyle choices, including physical exercise. Exercising

Inbreeding Depression By Environment Interactions Essay
Inbreeding Depression
Inbreeding depression is a widely studied topic in the fields of not only genetics, but as well as
the fields of biology, ecology, etc. Directly speaking, inbreeding depression results in the loss or
reduced expression of a trait due to the mating between two closely related organisms (Hartl 547).
As of today, there are a plethora of studies and evidence that explain how and why inbreeding
occurs within populations even though it is deleterious for the populations. However, several of
these experiments are done in an unnatural environment or researchers have manipulated data in a
way to deem the results not truly representative (JM Pemberton et al.,2016). It is vital to discover
and understand the inbreeding depression of organisms in natural conditions so that this area of
study is accurately represented by reasonable data and the knowledge of this topic can be
expanded accurately. The article, Inbreeding Depression by Environment Interactions in a Free
living Mammal Population published in Heredity in November 2016, discusses research done on a
population of sheep in St. Kilda in attempt to discover inbreeding depression by environment
interaction with unmanipulated and true data. The sheep live on an isolated island, so it is
assumed that inbreeding is high in the population and genetic variation is low as well.
In this article, the researchers analyzed nine traits in the sheep for inbreeding depression by
environment interaction. These traits are

The Role Of Superheroes In The Film Guardians Of The Galaxy
What is a superhero? Some would argue that a superhero is a benevolent fictional character with
superhuman powers, such as Superman. Although this definition holds some truths, there is so
much more when delving into what a superhero actually is. Superhero s are people that make
immense sacrifices, take extraordinary risks, and take the initiative to help make a society a better
place for the greater good. Guardians of the Galaxy, a film produced by James Gunn, did a fantastic
job at accurately portraying the true meaning and expectations of our superheroes, all while
maintaining a fun and enjoyable film above the deeper meanings.
In the beginning of the film, you are introduced to the protagonist, Peter Quill, as he is watching his

revenge for her family s death, Groot who is a talking tree that can only say I am Groot and we

end up saving a planet from total destruction, not because of their own ambitions, but because they
felt and understood that it was the right thing to do. In the process of saving a planet, each hero
reveals the traits listed above, especially Groot the least expected Hero. In the film, there is a scene
where the Guardians are in a ship that is about to crash and Groot sacrifices himself by forming a
cocoon around each member protecting them from the ship impact with the ground. This is the
ultimate sacrifice that any superhero can display. Another interesting thing about Groot is that he is

Shel Silverstein s Where The Sidewalk Ends
Shel Silverstein was born in Chicago, Illinois and began writing at a very young age. He is the
author of children s literature like Everything On It and Where the Sidewalk Ends . In 1963, he
met an editor named Ursula Nordstrom who inspired him about writing a book that is suited for
children. In the book Everything On It , Silverstein added humor and laughs for the children who
read the book, but still be able to add a life lesson. However, in the book Where the Sidewalk Ends
, he wanted to inform adults to look back on their own childhood and look for the moments that
gave them joy. When writingthose books, Silverstein used different styles when writing his
poems. For example, he uses rhyming, punctuation, rhythm, and tone to engage children and
make them enjoy his poems, but still be able to portray his message or lesson from each poem to
kids. First of all, Silverstein uses the elements, rhyming and rhythm in most of his poems to
make readers more engaged and so they can easily understand what the poem is trying to say. In
the poem Masks from the book Every Thing On It , it presents four lines of rhyming, She had
blue skin, and so did he, he kept it hid, and so did she . The words she and he both rhyme,

Registration Of Sex Offenders Is Mandatory Under The Sex...
Topic 1
Registration of sex offenders is mandatory under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification
Act (SORNA). It provides the general qualifications of one to be registered as a sex offender. It
requires registered sex offenders to give updated information on their addresses, place of work or
school and to make physical appearances at legible offices to verify the updates. SORNA
determines the information that a registered sex offender should submit and makes it available to
the public (SMART).
The constitution of Massachusetts is a subordinate to the constitution of United States, as would
any other state s constitution be. It is therefore mandated to register sex offenders within its borders.
The presence of decentralized statutes in the different states however results to different regulations
on registration of sex offenders among many other laws. The constitution of Massachusetts
abundantly outlines what is considered as sexual crimes and offenses. Not all of them, however,
require their perpetuators to register as sexual offenders. Some examples of the major crimes that
would mandate registration are such as rape, assault with the aim of committing rape, kidnapping a
child and introducing a minor to prostitution. The rest of the crimes mandated for registration are
further listed an outlined on http://www.mass.gov/eopss/crime prev personal sfty/sex offenders

Why Choose A Crossover Car
Why How To Choose a Crossover Car It was once much easier to chose a vehicle, as the number
of choices were limited. Today day there are so many types to chose from, most are self
explanatory, some may confuse many people. The crossover is a relatively new type of vehicle,
and many people may not know what a crossover is. What Is A Crossover? In the most basic of
terms a crossover or CUV (crossover utility vehicle) is the combination of a passenger car (or
sedan) frame, and aspects from an SUV, wagon, minivan, or hatchback. They utilize a uni body
construction, and are smaller and lighter than their larger counterparts. Giving you the fuel
economy and handling of a car, and storage and seating capacity similar to that of minivans and
SUV s. Essentially if it doesn t fit any of the other vehicle labels it s a crossover. There are example

There are many reasons to choose a crossover as your next vehicle. Many people do not need or
may not want a full size SUV or minivan, but want or require more room than a sedan or
passenger car. Some people don t like cars, but also don t like large vehicles like full size SUV s,
making the crossover an ideal compromise between the two. Other people may just want a
vehicle with a unique style, which many crossovers offer. Crossovers typically offer more
headroom than a passenger car as well as greater ground clearance. A lift gate in the back instead
of a trunk makes it easier to load larger items, and some even have the option of removing the
back seat to accommodate even larger items. Some crossovers seat up to five while others can
seat up to eight. How Do I Choose A Crossover? The answer to that question can only be reached
by determining what type of crossover will best suit your needs. Crossovers are available in a
variety of sizes and styles, as well as with many different features and options. So it s a safe bet
that there is one out there that has everything you need or

89th on the billboards 100 at the time of its released. It was not as high ranked as other songs in
it genre but I served its purpose in my opinion. In some aspects it was infamous for its out of the
bod views on the American president, foreign policy, etc. unfortunately this song hasn t been
included in any shows or films that I know of, but according to Wikipedia, the song was used as a
theme song for the internet hacker group Anonymous. This song was Lupe Fiascos way of
expressing his dislike of the current United Statesgovernment. He uses many controversial
subjects like terrorism and foreign policy to get his point across. By doing so he shows his
listeners the corruptness of the country. For example in his song he states crooked banks around
the world would gladly give a loan today, so if you ever miss a payment they can take your home
away. (Fiasco) in this part of his song, he explains to us how corrupt banks scheme to make a
quick profit at the expense of one of their customers who can t afford it. The song was written as
a wakeup call for the people. Lupe has realized that people have the power to say what they want
but are silenced by the government. He tries to show this to the people in the choirs with the
phrase, it s so loud inside my head, with

Bilbo the Hobbit, persuaded by an old wizard named Gandalf, to set out on a quest with thirteen
militant dwarves. Seized by a self assured, fire breathing dragon named Smaug, the dwarves

inside the palace, and defeat Smaug for good. Along the way, Bilbo found a magical ring and
was able to turn invisible, which is a very useful technique for rescuing the dwarves. They manage
to pass many obstacles and met different types of villains. At the end, Bilbo and the dwarves did
not go up against Smaug, instead Bard the Bowman from Lake men defeated Smaug and after that
the Battle of the Five Armies began. The point of having the dwarves and Bilbo go up against...

The Cost Of Health Care
The cost of health explains almost half of the budgets of the state from financing the Medicaid
program to providing health care for the employees of the state and other less qualified
population like the prisoners (Vanderbeaux, 2014). In America, thousands upon thousands of
decisions concerning health care are made by State legislatures every year (Vanderbeaux, 2014).
Some of those decisions involve how best to provide appropriate care more efficiently, and
deciding on what age group of patients needs to be immunized (Vanderbeaux, 2014). Other
decisions include the ability to give license to health professionals, facilities, and the ability to
accept or refuse the proposals that will help to keep the population healthy. The State
legislatures have deliberated on at least three thousand bills of which more than five hundred of
those bills have been approved and signed into law. In the year 2014 alone, almost one thousand
two hundred bills have been deliberated on and so far two hundred and thirty five of those bills
have been accepted and signed into law as of January 2015. Financing The Veterans health care
bill with bill no H.R 4810, was introduced by Bernie Sanders (I Vt.) who is part of the senate and
Jeff Miller (R Fla.) who is the House of Veterans of America Committee chairmen (Vanderbeaux,
2014). The senate house approved this bill on July 31, 2014 (Vanderbeaux, 2014). The purpose of
this bill is to enable veterans who once put their lives on the line to defend

Marie De France Composed A Works Of The French Aquitanian...
From the works of the French Aquitanian and Champagnian troubadours, the framework/ideals of
fin amour grew and spread throughout Europe, reaching the courts of Britain. As the conception of
fin amour became increasingly popular amongst the literature of the aristocracy, writers such as,
Andreas Capellanus wrote of the stages and rules of courtly love. Inspired by this movement in the
culture and literature of court, the poet Marie de Francecomposed a collection of romantic lays. In
the Breton Lays , Marie presents her narratives as a guide for courtly lovers. For, each lay
exhibits the problems, consequences, and rewards that can occur if a lady or knight does/or does
not follow the three principles of fin amour which, as explained by the scholars Jeri S. Guthrie
(1976) and F.R.P Akehurst (1995), include mezura (to have self restraint and patience in love, to
have discretion within an affair), joven (to be spontaneous in love, to woo with grand gestures and
gifts), and cortezia (to follow the moral and societal rules of court).
The first standard of courtly love Marie de France presents within The Breton Lays is mezura.
Through the narratives of Lanval and Yonec , Marie reinforces the importance mezura plays in
maintaining a courtly affair; she shows that being open about a relationship can lead to disaster. In
the story of Lanval , Lanval breaks the principle of mezura by rashly exposing his affair with the
amie to Queen Guinevere. When Guinevere propositions

Essay on Nellie Bly the Journalist
Introduction To read of Nellie Bly, one would come to think the woman a pioneer in journalism;
a hero for women s rights; and an American icon. These beliefs would be true if not for the fact
that Bly was so much more. She was much more a woman, much more a writer, much more a hero
and much more than most could ever be. Bly not only took on a world of injustice and stereotypes,
but conquered it and changed the way the field of journalism works today. Elizabeth Cochran, a.k.a.
Nellie Blywas the first known female reporter. Bly s life spanned Reconstruction, the Victorian and
Progressive Eras, the Great War, and its aftermath (Kroeger, 1996). And, even though there remains

In his column, Quiet Observations, Erasmus Wilson portrayed the notion that women of the day
were useless outside the sphere of marriage (Wildemuth, 1999). This infuriated Cochran, and she
quickly sent a heated letter to the editor of The Dispatch, signed Lonely Orphan Girl (Toth,
1994). The newspaper s editor was so taken with her letter that he asked her to reveal herself, and
within a week, offered her a writing position with the publication (Toth 1999). It was then, at the
young age of 20, that Cochran adopted the pen name Nellie Bly. A Star is Born: A World is
Changed Bly was not content to just write columns for the Dispatch and confronted her editors
about engaging in a new kind of journalism. This new type of undercover journalism, nicknamed
stunt at the time, was risky enough for a reporter, let alone a female one. Bly s first stunt
assignment was to disguise herself as a destitute woman and get a job at a local copper cable
factory (Wildemuth 1999). Bly s illustrative descriptions of the factory s hazardous conditions not
only forced the public to take interest in the workers issues but also increased the paper s
circulation. In 1887, Bly moved to New York to continue her journalistic ambitions. At first, no one
wanted to hire the outspoken reporter, but Joseph Pulitzer, editor of The New York World, saw
greatness within the young writer and quickly hired her. It was with his help that Bly embarked on

Hypertension And High Blood Pressure
Hypertension
Hypertension is referred to as high blood pressure. Hypertension is frequently asymptomatic in the
early stages, and the initial signs are often vague and nonspecific. They include fatigue, malaise, and
sometimes morning headache. Consistently elevated blood pressure under various conditions is the
key sign of hypertension. Because of the insidious onset and mild signs, hypertension is often
undiagnosed until complications arise and has been called the silent killer. The complications are
also asymptomatic until they are well advanced.
Pathophysiology
Hypertension is one of the most common chronic health problems seen in the primary care setting.
Hypertension in adults age 18 and older is defined as a systolic blood pressure (SBP) of greater
than 1400 mm Hg and or a diastolic blood pressure (DBP) of greater than 90 mm Hg, based on the
average of two or more properly measured seated BP readings on each of two or more office visits.
The Seventh Report of the Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and
Treatment of High Blood Pressure cites the following three categories for adults age 18 and older:
(1) prehypertension (SBP 120 to 139 mm Hg / DBP 80 to 89 mm Hg); (2) Stage 1 hypertension
(SBP 140 to 159 mm Hg / DBP 90 to 99 mm Hg); and (3) Stage 2 hypertension (SBP ≥ 160 mm
Hg / DBP ≥ 100 mm Hg) (Sisson, Rastegar, Rice, Prokopowicz, Hughes, 2010). In hypertension

  • 2. A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts Essay A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts On the morning of September 11, 2001, al Qaeda terrorists carried out a set of coordinated suicide attacks with four hijacked passenger planes and killed around 3,000 people on American soil. The first two planes hit the World Trade center and killed everyone on board and hundreds inside the buildings. Following this attack, the nation was informed by President Bush that these attacks were, apparent terrorist attacks on our country (http://www.history.com/topics/9 11 timeline). The third hijacked plane soon crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., killing multiple people aboard and 125 military and civilian personnel inside the building. The fourth plane was deliberately crashed into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, taking the lives of all the people and the crew aboard after a few passengers tried to take the plane back from the hijackers. With thousands of lives taken and the American people frightened and needing answers, they expected someone to deliver a speech addressed to the nation to provide some form of comfort and guidance. George W. Bush, as president, was the only logical rhetor to fill that need, and nine days later on September 20, 2011; George W. Bush addressed the Nation in a Joint Session of Congress in attempt to ease Americans concerning the terror attacks. As we examine political speeches and analyze how rhetoric devices are used, we turn to experts William Lutz, Clyde Miller, and Carol ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction Students of the class Introduction to Research Methods conducted two studies to collect data on the perception of scientists. The purpose of the two studies conducted was to examine the stereotypes of scientists of undergraduate Speech and Hearing Science majors, and whether the use of media has an influence on these stereotypes. Study one was a descriptive study that consisted of administering a Draw A Scientisttest. This was done in order to understand the perceptions of scientists in a sample of Speech and Hearing Sciencemajors at a large research university in the Midwest, and be able to compare the results to other literature. Study 2 was an experimental study, conducted to analysis the effect of a media stimulus on the perceptions of scientist. The goal of conducting two studies was to have the ability to compare the results of the descriptive study with the experimental study in order to determine the effects of the media and analyze certain stereotypic characteristics of a scientist. The Draw A Scientist Test was first administered by David W. Chambers in 1983. He created the DAST in order to analyze the stereotypes involved in people s perceptions of scientists. Seven specific attributes of a scientist were included on the coding sheet of the DAST. These attributes included specific attributes of a scientist: a laboratory coat, eyeglass, facial hair, symbols of research (scientific instruments and laboratory equipment), symbols of knowledge ... • 5. Hillary Clinton Sexism Essay America is a country that prides itself on equal opportunity for all. However, the results of the recent presidential election have demonstrated a major disparity in the equality of that opportunity. Donald Trump, with almost no political qualifications, beat out Hillary Clinton, a highly qualified individual, for the presidency. In addition, many scandals were attached to the Trump campaign, mainly his disparaging comments against women. The success of his campaign, after all the scandals, can be attributed to sexism in the general American population. Ingrained sexism in American society constituted a major reason as to why Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election. Women are often seen as less competent than men, even when they are equally qualified. The number of women holding political office in the United States is dismal. Women, while... Mr. Trump has also mentioned the infidelities of Mr. Clinton multiple times when discussing the election. However, the many sexist and sexual comments made by Mr. Trump himself, while met with backlash, failed to sink his campaign. The vast majority of voters, 70 percent, said that Donald Trump s behavior towards women was a problem. In spite of this, 30 percent of the people who said that voted for Trump. While many people saw Mr. Trump s actions as inappropriate, they did not see them as affecting his leadership abilities. The filming crew first spends two hours setting up lights that will flatter the burger. The stylist begins burning flame broiling stripes into the hamburger patties by using a special branding iron. The stylist then paints the stripes with a dark steak sauce. Next, the stylist sprinkles salt on the burger so that when it passes over the flames, natural juices will rise to the meat s surface.(Par.2) Once branded, retouched, and juiced, the director films the burgers from different angles as they move along a conveyor belt broiler. When the meat is broiled, blood rises to the surface in small pools. The stylist dabs at the bubbling blood with a Q tip so that is doesn t look undesirable to TV viewers. (Par.3) Before the patty passes over the flame a second time, the stylist maneuvers a small electric heater about an inch above the burger. This heats up the natural fatty juices until they begin to steam and sizzle. Otherwise, puddles of grease will cover the meat. Morton II and Giovanina Gardiner conducted the study in at George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. The researchers discuss about the adults hardships and struggles these individuals are exposed to on a daily basis. In addition, this vulnerable population is excluded from mainstream society. The authors that conducted this study did a comparison on homeless individuals who were diagnosis with a developmental delay to determine if there is a correlation between volunteerism and community integration. Furthermore, the intent of this article is to take Bowgett s study a step further by reporting the level of volunteerism in an urban sample of homeless persons with developmental disabilities. The research question is does volunteerism suggest healthy community integration among this ample of homeless persons with developmental disabilities? • 9. The Potential for a Severe Food Shortage in the United States A severe shortage of food in the United States could occur from many causes. Farms could stop growing crops and breeding animals. Some sort of bacteria could sweep through the country killing different food plants. The more important part of the shortage of food however would not be the causes, but the effects. The stance of the country s economy, the well being of middle and lower class families, and the quality of stores that used to sell the products would all decline greatly if an event as severe as an extreme shortage of foodwere to occur. General stores generate a large profit from the sale of food. Some stores like Whole Foods and King Soopers do not sell much besides food products. If there were to be a severe shortage of food, stores like Whole Foods, Walmart, Costco, and King Soopers would take a severe hit in terms of income and the ability to compete with other stores. Places like these would not be able to keep up financially if there were a lack of people buying their food products. There are other non food products that these stores may sell, but these other products would not be able to sell due to the fact that people would be focusing more on ways to get food rather than buying a new T.V. or a new pair of shoes. Families in cities rely on general stores and health food stores to obtain food products. A severe shortage of food throughout the country would raise potentially difficult questions for families. • 10. The Homelessness Of The United States Ending Homelessness Homelessness in the United States can be ended, not just maintained. Allot of cities now have plans to eradicate homelessness. Homelessness and housing instability are large issues that afflict a diverse demographic such as: Families, youth, veterans, and chronically homeless single male adults. Ending homelessness may require specialized solutions that are specific to individual needs. Factors like these make defeating homelessness a difficult task. Although solutions exist for some of the demographics, such as housing for chronically homeless adults, scaling up best practices remains a challenge. For other subpopulations, such as transitional aged youth, evidence based interventions need to be developed. In this paper we argue that ending homelessness is a Grand Challenge that is big, important, and compelling one that the profession of social work should be adopt. Meeting this challenge will require a focused, organized response from social work researchers, clinicians, and policymakers. Ending homelessness will require innovation and interdisciplinary or cross sector collaboration. Key words: Housing First, Permanent Supportive Housing, rapid re housing, prevention, poverty. The notion that homelessness in the United States can be ended, rather than managed (Mangano, 2002; National Alliance to End Homelessness, 2012), represents a fundamental shift in expectations from the 1980s and 90s. The New York Jets without question must select a Quarterback. Most NFL Draft experts say this up and coming quarterback class is the best since the 1983 class, which featured Hall of Famers John Elway, Jim Kelly, and Dan Marino. It is vital that the Jets do so rather than wait until the later rounds of this particular draft because in the same fashion other teams are in need at the quarterback position as well. Experts as well as the Jets fanbase were truly shocked by the pick. Cause many experts didn t even have Hackenberg being drafted. Thus far both quarterbacks have yet to make any significant impact. Therefore, it is significantly crucial for the third year GM to select one of this year s highly touted quarterbacks with his very first pick in the upcoming 2018 draft which will be held in April 26 28 at AT T Stadium in Arlington Texas. I really feal that this is the draft gang green will indeed land themselves a franchise, high caliber and spectacular type quarterback. They no longer will need to worry about the position for at least another ten years. Prior to the Jets pick which is currently at number seven with one more week of games left to play. The top two quarterbacks of the six we mentioned Sam Darnold of USC and Josh Rosen from UCLA will surely not be available as they are predicted to be the top two overall picks. The first person narrator can be either subjective or objective. The third objective narrative is a story told by a nonparticipating character. The narrator is usually detached from the story. Sometimes, the narratorcompletely penetrates the mindof a character. Third person narration is often used in documentaries. The omniscient narrators are often not part of the story but are all knowing observers. These narrators tell the reader all the facts we need to know to fully understand the story. Every individual struggle with self acceptance at some point in their life, furthermore, every individual chooses to exemplify their struggle to accept themselves in different methods. In the short story Boys and Girls Alice Munro focuses on the narration of a girl, in which girls are underappreciated in the society. The protagonistin the story cannot accept who she is, and it makes it harder for her as other individuals do not accept who she wishes to be. The author demonstrates this through the character s external motivations. As the story is written in third person limited readers understand the girls personal thoughts and how she is internally conflicted about who she is. She feels underappreciated for the work that she provides which influences her to be disobedient to others around her. Alice Munroe s short storyBoys and Girls demonstrates to readers that individuals struggle for self acceptance through the expression of their external and internal motivations. Because of their motivations, individuals feel rebellious against their self conscience. Many individuals feel influenced from their relatives or friends to act and be a certain way to be accepted in their society, this causes them to react and respond in a certain way. • 18. Reasons For Legalization Of Prostitution The legalization of prostitution has been a debatable topic over the years. There are differing viewpoints on the reasons for legalizing prostitution as well as the causes of legalizing prostitution. In the majority of the world today, there is a high level of demand for prostitutes as well as the services they render. Because prostitutes are exposed to a bacterial cornucopia of sexually transmitted diseases, many of them often contract a wide variety of these diseases. Many prostitutes are abused each year. However, because these prostitutes usually fear law enforcement, most of this systemic abuse goes unreported (Wurth et al. par. 2). Prostitutionproduces an abundance of money that is never taxed, yet this untapped tax revenue could produce economic growth for states that legalize prostitution. However, legalizing prostitution has the potential to create a safe, controlled environment that would benefit not only the prostitute, but it would benefit society as well. Making prostitution illegal creates an uncontrolled environment which does not require prostitutes to use protection. If prostitution remains illegal, then it will continue to be less likely that prostitutes will use protection. According to the journal of the international AIDS society, 11.8% pooled HIV prevalence among female workers in 50 countries (Wurth el al. par. 1). These numbers could decrease if the prostitution occurred in a controlled environment. In Nevada, this strategy can be seen in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Esther s diligence in her personal business of creating women s underwear connects her with the rest of the cast to create a riveting story full of plot twists. Multiple aspects of the play come together to portray how Ester overcomes social roles on her course to find true love. Given the time of the play and gender of the main character, the reoccurring themes in this play revolve around Esther. Being an African American female in the early 1900 s, times were hard. She had become a very successful seamstress and was able to provide for herself. After many years of hard work, Esther had saved a small fortune in her quilt to build toward her dreams of creating her own beauty salon where African Americans will receive the same level of care as whites. This, along with her other dream of falling in love and getting married, is all she has worked for. Once George, a laborer from overseas who unexpectedly began writing love letters to Ester, had moved in and was looking for work, Esther felt the need to accept the gender roles of time and give up her life savings in order to help George make something of himself. George tore open her quilt without a care for her feelings and was only focused on himself. He then goes to gamble it all away with Mayme, a prostitute who happens to be one of Ester s customers. ... • 26. Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Peoples A third consideration in regard with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is the meaning of sovereignty. The discourse on sovereignty is obscure and non reflexive. It situates itself somewhere between moral axiology, social ideology and political and legal authority. The link between sovereignty and politics within the public discourse often mask oppressive power relations between Indigenous and non Indigenous people (Prokhovnik, 2015). Furthermore, the mainstream political discourse undoubtedly takes sovereignty as though it really were an uncontested foundation , which erases the significance of the Indigenous as the first nations (Prokhovnik, 2015, p. 415). For the settlers, perhaps their self importance as imperialists was more valued than embracing new notions of nationalism (Ward, 2001). For them, the establishment of colonies represented the expression of the external power of sovereign European states, even if only possible as a result of conquest, and their colonies were considered sufficient justification for the imposition of sovereign power (Patton, 1996, p. 149). Unfortunately, this unresolved ambivalence about the colonisation of Australiahas also left the peoples of this country with an ambivalent identity (Connors, 2001). In this section, I will briefly discuss the effects of Trudeau s Senate reforms and argue that reform is better than abolishment. Trudeau s three phased Senate reforms give minority group leaders an opportunity to represent their communities. The reforms attempt to shift the focus from gaining support for the Liberal party, to a collection of different and diverse minds within the Senate. The first phase of the reforms focused on the [removal of] all senators from the national Liberal caucus , which inherently suggested that senators [no longer] have formal or organic ties with the Liberal caucus, nor do they have any organizational, financial or other formal responsibilities within the Liberal Party (Dion, 2015, para. 5). • 33. Keeping A Healthy Lifestyle On Food Intake Introduction Our bodies need certain things in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Food is a key ingredient to helping sustain our health throughout our life. When looking at our diet, we need to look beyond total calories consumed. Instead, we need to break the foods down into the different molecules that provide our body the proper nutrients to thrive and grow. Macronutrients are required by our bodies to properly function, and are needed for growth and energy. These macronutrients consist of proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates which we obtain from the foods we eat. Tracking food intake is one way to analyze how food consumption meets, exceeds or falls short of recommended values. Through behavior modification and small, specific goals, positive dietary changes can help maintain long term health. Proteins are the building blocks of our bodies. From DNA to muscles, protein is a major part of our bodies. Protein is found in meats, poultry, dairy, nuts, and fish. Each gram of protein we eat consists of 4 calories. Proteins are made up of amino acids, known as the building blocks of proteins. There are 20 amino acids, 9 of which are essential, since they are only obtained from the food in our diet. The other 11 amino acids are considered non essential because our bodies have the ability to create these amino acids. Lipids, or fats, are important to our bodies. • 35. Gender Roles And Social Construction Gender roles have influenced our society our whole lives, without us realizing it. They determine the way in which we, as members of society, behave among others and what is deemed socially acceptable and what is not, all based on our gender. From the moment children take their first breaths, they are exposed to the genderroles society has set. This is all part of a social construction to categorize the two genders into believing that they should act in a particular matter, using toys as an advertising method. If the baby is a female, parents will opt to dress her in pink or purple, classifying the child as girly . However, if the child is male, parents will often opt for blue and green, avoiding pink in order to confirm the masculine gender by society s standards. Even as kids, a girl will automatically head to the pink side of the toy store, just as a boy would head to the blue section due to their pre exposed view of society. The social construction predefines a societies belief, thoughts, and what they consider a norm. As part of a community we take in what is expected of us, and try to attribute one self into that specific norm. So in some ways the dramaturgical theory plays a big part in a person s daily life. Due to constantly being told how to behave by those around us, we develop a role in life some might call a type of theatrical performance (Conley 2013:139). An individual can get so wrapped up in what society expects from them that they embody that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Care by practitioners and other providers which means receive correct diagnosis and an appropriate strategy of care from practitioners; and convenience, comfort, quite, privacy, food etc. from care providers. 2. Care Implemented by patient that means patient should take care not only for him or herself but also for his or her family. Hypocrisy In To Kill A Mockingbird Analysis Hypocrisy in To Kill a Mockingbird In her coming of age novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee explores how the precocious protagonist, Jean Louise Scout Finch, struggles to fit into her role as a lady and has a difficult time coming to terms of the cruelty as well as the injustice her Southern town displays through discrimination. Scout resides with her family in Maycomb County, Alabama in the 1930s a town severely divided by color. She goes through a breathtaking metamorphosis throughout the novel when her father Atticus defends a Negro man accused of rape, exposing her to the true roots of human behavior. Another hypocritical scene occurs in the novel when the people of Maycomb make untrue judgements about the Radley Place and its inhabitants. For instance, Scout states, The shutters and doors of the Radley house were closed on Sundays, another thing alien to Maycomb s ways: closed doors meant illness and cold weather only (11). It is duplicitous of the townspeople to scrutinize the Radleys based solely on town gossip and the appearance of their home. The Radley home is intentionally used as an excuse by the townspeople to isolate the Radleys since their way of living is not considered normal in their eyes. Overall, numerous reasons can be found why people tend to be hypocritical; it is evident as to why many possess this quality in Maycomb. Lee uses characterization, a crucial literary device, to display to readers the lethal effects of hypocrisy in society. As Miss Maudie said, Mockingbirds don t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don t eat up people s gardens, don t nest in corncribs, they don t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That s why it s a sin to kill a mockingbird (119). Despite his innocence and role of a mockingbird, Tom was condemned guilty of rape and shot 17 times. Inbreeding Depression By Environment Interactions Essay Inbreeding Depression Inbreeding depression is a widely studied topic in the fields of not only genetics, but as well as the fields of biology, ecology, etc. Directly speaking, inbreeding depression results in the loss or reduced expression of a trait due to the mating between two closely related organisms (Hartl 547). As of today, there are a plethora of studies and evidence that explain how and why inbreeding occurs within populations even though it is deleterious for the populations. However, several of these experiments are done in an unnatural environment or researchers have manipulated data in a way to deem the results not truly representative (JM Pemberton et al.,2016). It is vital to discover and understand the inbreeding depression of organisms in natural conditions so that this area of study is accurately represented by reasonable data and the knowledge of this topic can be expanded accurately. The article, Inbreeding Depression by Environment Interactions in a Free living Mammal Population published in Heredity in November 2016, discusses research done on a population of sheep in St. Kilda in attempt to discover inbreeding depression by environment interaction with unmanipulated and true data. The sheep live on an isolated island, so it is assumed that inbreeding is high in the population and genetic variation is low as well. In this article, the researchers analyzed nine traits in the sheep for inbreeding depression by environment interaction. These traits are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Other decisions include the ability to give license to health professionals, facilities, and the ability to accept or refuse the proposals that will help to keep the population healthy. The State legislatures have deliberated on at least three thousand bills of which more than five hundred of those bills have been approved and signed into law. In the year 2014 alone, almost one thousand two hundred bills have been deliberated on and so far two hundred and thirty five of those bills have been accepted and signed into law as of January 2015. • 56. Marie De France Composed A Works Of The French Aquitanian... From the works of the French Aquitanian and Champagnian troubadours, the framework/ideals of fin amour grew and spread throughout Europe, reaching the courts of Britain. As the conception of fin amour became increasingly popular amongst the literature of the aristocracy, writers such as, Andreas Capellanus wrote of the stages and rules of courtly love. Inspired by this movement in the culture and literature of court, the poet Marie de Francecomposed a collection of romantic lays. In the Breton Lays , Marie presents her narratives as a guide for courtly lovers. For, each lay exhibits the problems, consequences, and rewards that can occur if a lady or knight does/or does not follow the three principles of fin amour which, as explained by the scholars Jeri S. Guthrie (1976) and F.R.P Akehurst (1995), include mezura (to have self restraint and patience in love, to have discretion within an affair), joven (to be spontaneous in love, to woo with grand gestures and gifts), and cortezia (to follow the moral and societal rules of court). The first standard of courtly love Marie de France presents within The Breton Lays is mezura. Through the narratives of Lanval and Yonec , Marie reinforces the importance mezura plays in maintaining a courtly affair; she shows that being open about a relationship can lead to disaster. In the story of Lanval , Lanval breaks the principle of mezura by rashly exposing his affair with the amie to Queen Guinevere. When Guinevere propositions ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 57. Essay on Nellie Bly the Journalist Introduction To read of Nellie Bly, one would come to think the woman a pioneer in journalism; a hero for women s rights; and an American icon. These beliefs would be true if not for the fact that Bly was so much more. She was much more a woman, much more a writer, much more a hero and much more than most could ever be. Bly not only took on a world of injustice and stereotypes, but conquered it and changed the way the field of journalism works today. Elizabeth Cochran, a.k.a. Nellie Blywas the first known female reporter. Bly s life spanned Reconstruction, the Victorian and Progressive Eras, the Great War, and its aftermath (Kroeger, 1996). And, even though there remains no fully organized collection of her life s personal or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In his column, Quiet Observations, Erasmus Wilson portrayed the notion that women of the day were useless outside the sphere of marriage (Wildemuth, 1999). This infuriated Cochran, and she quickly sent a heated letter to the editor of The Dispatch, signed Lonely Orphan Girl (Toth, 1994). The newspaper s editor was so taken with her letter that he asked her to reveal herself, and within a week, offered her a writing position with the publication (Toth 1999). It was then, at the young age of 20, that Cochran adopted the pen name Nellie Bly. A Star is Born: A World is Changed Bly was not content to just write columns for the Dispatch and confronted her editors about engaging in a new kind of journalism. This new type of undercover journalism, nicknamed stunt at the time, was risky enough for a reporter, let alone a female one. Bly s first stunt assignment was to disguise herself as a destitute woman and get a job at a local copper cable factory (Wildemuth 1999). Bly s illustrative descriptions of the factory s hazardous conditions not only forced the public to take interest in the workers issues but also increased the paper s circulation. In 1887, Bly moved to New York to continue her journalistic ambitions. At first, no one wanted to hire the outspoken reporter, but Joseph Pulitzer, editor of The New York World, saw greatness within the young writer and quickly hired her. It was with his help that Bly embarked on one of her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 59. Hypertension And High Blood Pressure Hypertension Hypertension is referred to as high blood pressure. Hypertension is frequently asymptomatic in the early stages, and the initial signs are often vague and nonspecific. They include fatigue, malaise, and sometimes morning headache. Consistently elevated blood pressure under various conditions is the key sign of hypertension. Because of the insidious onset and mild signs, hypertension is often undiagnosed until complications arise and has been called the silent killer. The complications are also asymptomatic until they are well advanced. Pathophysiology Hypertension is one of the most common chronic health problems seen in the primary care setting. Hypertension in adults age 18 and older is defined as a systolic blood pressure (SBP) of greater than 1400 mm Hg and or a diastolic blood pressure (DBP) of greater than 90 mm Hg, based on the average of two or more properly measured seated BP readings on each of two or more office visits. The Seventh Report of the Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure cites the following three categories for adults age 18 and older: (1) prehypertension (SBP 120 to 139 mm Hg / DBP 80 to 89 mm Hg); (2) Stage 1 hypertension (SBP 140 to 159 mm Hg / DBP 90 to 99 mm Hg); and (3) Stage 2 hypertension (SBP ≥ 160 mm Hg / DBP ≥ 100 mm Hg) (Sisson, Rastegar, Rice, Prokopowicz, Hughes, 2010).
