Proofread My Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "Proofread My Essay" may seem like a straightforward task at first
glance, but delving into the intricacies of self-proofreading can be quite challenging. The
difficulty arises from the inherent bias that comes with being the author of the essay. When
you've spent a significant amount of time crafting and refining your work, it becomes
increasingly challenging to spot errors or areas that require improvement.
The human mind tends to overlook its own mistakes due to familiarity with the content. You
become accustomed to the structure, style, and flow of your writing, making it harder to detect
issues such as grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, or inconsistencies in your arguments. The
very act of proofreading necessitates a fresh perspective, one that is often difficult to achieve
when you are deeply immersed in your own work.
Moreover, the emotional attachment to your writing can cloud your judgment. Accepting
constructive criticism and acknowledging the need for revisions can be emotionally challenging.
It requires a certain level of detachment to critically assess your own writing objectively.
The essay's effectiveness also hinges on your ability to distance yourself from the content and
approach it with a critical eye. This self-evaluation process demands a high level of self-
awareness, attention to detail, and a willingness to invest time and effort into reviewing and
revising your work thoroughly.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on the topic "Proofread My Essay" may initially seem like
a straightforward task, it unveils its own set of challenges. The difficulty lies not only in the
technical aspects of proofreading but also in overcoming the subjective nature of self-assessment.
Achieving objectivity and accepting the need for revisions can be formidable hurdles in the quest
for a polished and error-free essay.
For those who find themselves grappling with such challenges, there are alternatives. Similar

Legacy of Christopher Columbus
The Legacy of Christopher Columbus
Abstract
After many centuries, a lot of controversy still surrounds Christopher Columbus.
He remains to be a strange figure in history regarded as a famous explorer and a
great mariner who made many discoveries in his days. Other people still regard
him as a visionary and a national hero while others chose to remember him as a
brutal and greedy person who used the rest of the humanity for his own selfish gains.
Despite the fact that there have been protests in his being honored through a holiday
referred to as the Columbus Day, he still deserves recognition and acknowledgement
as a historical figure performed a great role in the making of the modern world. 1.0

Several cities in the United States of America including Berkeley, South Dakota and
Hawaii have also replaced the day with other alternatives to celebrate. Cities in
American that still recognize and celebrate the day parade street shows that feature
street dances, Italian food and other activities that teach about the Native American
culture.
The arrival of Columbus in 1492 has been viewed with mixed feelings with others
believing the day should be viewed as an occasion for mourning. Some activists
advocate for the day to be replaced with a day for ethnic diversity. The belief that he
discovered America is not to say that he was the first to set his eyes on America, it
meant that he opened up America to new opportunities. This was by bringing
America to the attention of the New World by bringing the civilization of Western
Europe to its residents. It was the discoveries of Columbus that led to an interaction
of ideas and people and different cultures that made America what it is today.
3.0The Columbus Controversy
The famous explorer has been regarded as a hero only for his achievements and
accomplishments only for them to be darkened by his crimes of genocide, slavery
and rape thus the controversy arises as to how he should be remembered . In his
quest to find riches and conquer new lands, Columbus encountered many native
people who he treated as
Julius Caesar Brutus Speeches
At Julius Caesar s funeral, he had two people speak. One of the persons was
Antony who asked Brutus if he could because Caesar was a good friend. The other
one was Brutus who helped killed Caesar and only cared about the city of Rome.
Brutus and Antony were both good speech writers but they had different styles.
The first person that went was Brutus which they should never speak first if they
are trying to win a crowd over because the person after can use. He tried to justify
why he needed to kill Caesar. Rome needed to be judged by someone. Brutus did
say he had a lot of honor and that he was loyal to Caesar but more loyal to Rome.
His point was to impress the people of Rome. He also said in his speech that they
were slaves to Caesar so that they should be grateful that he killed him because
now they were free. tears, for his love; joy, for his fortune; honor, for his valour;

The speech was in honor of Caesar not like Brutus speech at all. Four times he said
that Brutus said that Caesar was ambitious. But each of those times he showed that
he was not ambitious for himself but loved Rome. Antony said this four times that
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious; And Brutus is an honorable man (III,ii, 95 96).
But because he showed that Caesar was not ambitious then maybe Brutus was not
honorable. He also discussed how hurt he was that he lost his good friend. Antony
does twist his promise around so it will backfire on Brutus as the killer. Antony did
keep his promise to Brutus and give them all away. In the end, Antony did change
the crowds mind and they realized Brutus had lied to them the whole time before. He
told them how he offered Caesar to be king and handing Caesar the crown. But
Caesar denied it three
The Arcane Relationship Of African And European
Renaissance
The Arcane Relationship of Africans and European Renaissance
During the European Renaissance, the immigration of African individual to Europe
were mostly for economic purposes which indirectly, caused an increase in cultural
diversity within Europe. However, a vast majority of Africans during the European
Renaissance were slaves. European s had their own definition of civilization . To be
considered civilized, it depends on a number of factor such as hierarchical structure,
social organisation, and descendant history. This label allowed European to
distinguished themselves apart from Africans which they labeled as barbarians .
Throughout the European Renaissance, not much was known about Africans since
Europeans did not document them well. Recovering pieces of Africans history,
especially the relationship with European, is critical because more knowledge of their
past will help demystify any misconceptions. In Africa, they developed an economical
relationship with the European nation. As a result, this led to the outcome of
diversity within Europe. Prior to European/African relationship, African rulers
established trade links with the Mediterranean world, Western Asia, and Indian Ocean
region. The expansion provided Europeans goods that included, cloth, iron, copper,
jewelry, beads, and more. In exchange, Europeans return with textiles, carving,
spices. It s also to note that African manufactures of creating items was superior
quality to those from
Group And Group Dynamics In American Cultures In The...
In society, movies and television shows often show aspects of group and group
interactions, especially between teenagers. Although there are many examples of
this, one movie that shows multiple group dynamics in American culture is The
Breakfast Club. The movies shows how aspects of society affect the way that
people behave, who they choose to surround themselves with, and how people
view others. The Breakfast Club greatly exemplifies group dynamics, in this case,
between teenagers. The group of students start off as a disconnected group of kids
from all different backgrounds and lifestyles. For the most part the kids are not
friends and as far as they can tell at first, don t have anything in common. This
causes conflict between them; they argue about their backgrounds, they make fun of
each other, and they judge each other because of how different each one of them is
from everyone else. The kids have conflicting views and can t see eye to eye.
Overtime this begins to somewhat change. As they are forced to spend more time
with each other, they begin to work together to protect and cover for one another.
They help each other hide from the teachers at the school, and protect each other from
getting in too much trouble. The characters realize that they actually have more in
common than they thought. They begin to look past each other s differences and get
brought together by the fact that they are all in detention together and want to make
the most out of it. By

This word has also been considered as an alternate meaning for the low level,
borderline criminal activity in an informal economy2.In social science, the term
refers to bribery. However, in business and management, such practices are
evolving as innate, grass root level innovations3 aroused due limited access to
capital, resources and infrastructure. Till now, the jugaad was mainly considered as
way to get some things done quickly, saving time. Using a small rubber piece to
stop water from the ceiling instead of getting it repaired permanently, or traveling
on the bus roof instead of waiting of a vacant bus. These are a couple of jugaads
that are done on a daily basis just to preserve time. Some unethical methods such as
selling of milk mixed with water or, getting a seat in a college even if the seats are
full, are also the part of jugaad. Considering the overall concept, jugaad can be
broadly regarded as a low lost innovation, a coping mechanism a quick fix solution
and sometimes an unethical way of getting anything done. Mitra, B.S. (1995) India s

4222 305 Understand positive risk taking for individuals with disabilities (LD 305)
1. Understand that individuals with disabilities have the same right as everyone
else to take risks 1.2 Explain why, traditionally, people with disabilities have been
discouraged or prevented from taking risks. In Social Care there is an
accountability for the welfare of the individual, whether they are being cared for or
enabled to be independent. The enabler has responsibility for the individual, and the
Company that provides the service to the client has responsibility towards both the
enabler and the individual. They are answerable to families, CQC, the local council,
social care workers and the police. An individual, who has the mental capacity to...

Here we have an example of risk that was assessed, taken, and culminated
uncomfortably. The customer left the premises quickly. Do I take the individual
again another time? Or should we abandon all attempts to visit the cafe? It would
be easier with two enablers, so one could find out information when the individual
arrived at the premises, whilst the other enabler supported the individual. But there
is no funding for 2 1 care. This leaves a situation where risk will always be present,
but the skills of the enablers will hopefully grow as they learn ways of promoting
positive behaviour in the community. 1.3 Describe the links between risk taking
and responsibility, empowerment and social inclusion. Anybody who takes a full
role in society takes risks: crossing the road, using a bus, driving a car, and talking
to people they do not know. Risk may be physical (injury and accident), emotional
(humiliation, sense of failure), or mental (stress). A person who is excluded from
a group is disempowered. Inclusion is a strong and forceful need. Many people
consider being part of a tribe, gang, clique or social group a necessary part of their
life. Exclusion is disempowering. We are aware of bullying in schools, and the
words still resound in my ears, You can t be part of our gang! With inclusion and
empowerment comes the responsibility and consequences of taking part in society in
a socially acceptable way. This is laid out in
Using Animals Symbolically by Using Poetic Devices Essay
Using Animals Symbolically by Using Poetic Devices
I will be discussing the ways in which the poets use animals symbolically by using
poetic devices. The three poems that I have chosen are The Tyger by William Blake,
The Eagle by Alfred, Lord
Tennyson. Lastly, Pied Beauty by Gerard Manley Hopkins. Alfred Lord
Tennyson has used an image of an eagle to give the reader an image of a man
standing on a cliff top waiting for his world to fall around him. He is in a desolate
area; there is no society near him ringed with the azure world. He stands . He
watches the sea pass lower than him his world collapses beneath him n he falls.
And like a thunderbolt he falls
The sun has symbolized God. And his closeness to the eagle. ... Show more content

However, the poem is trying to tell us that the eagle is standing close to the sun in
lonely lands and that the enormous sea is beneath him. These are the ways that the
poet has used the eagle symbolically and to illustrate his strength and power standing
high in the sky.
Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright
This is an example from The Tyger
Metaphors of fire and blazing are emphasize by duplication of the B sound. The B
sound makes it stronger and powerful to use.
My second choice is Pied Beauty . Gerard Manley Hopkins who was born in 1844
wrote this poem. The poem is tells us about all the different creatures that God has
shaped. Explaining how for many belongings in nature there is a contradictory. He is
also telling the reader that we should be thankful towards it and the entire God gifted.
In the poem, there are uses of some oxymoron s by using them it shows the different
extremes that exist within nature. This is similar to the Tyger. In addition, that shows
the readers that to
keep the balance on the planet God has created an opposite. Adazzle, dim . With
swift, slow; sweet, sour
He uses animals as one of God s gift for our nature and used them symbolically for
the exquisiteness of the planet.
My third choice of poem is The Tyger written by William Blake. This poem shows
the evilness of the

ASPCA was founded in 1866 by Henry Bergh. ASPCA is a charity that helps
prevent cruelty to animals. There headquarters are in New York City. ASPCA was
created because Henry Bergh believed that animal cruelty was a terrible thing and
it should be eliminated. I quote Henry Bergh, to provide effective means for the
prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States . Basically, what he
is saying, is that the goal of ASPCA is to protect animals from harsh people, homes,
and their health(ASPCA). ASPCA has grown so much even in just a year. In the
beginning of 2015, January 1, to be exact, to December 31 of 2015, they were able
to rescue, care for, and find homes for large quantities of animals. According to the
ASPCA website, on the about us article, ASPCA was able to save 1,200 animals in
general. They had 4,600 animals adopted through their organization. ASPCA also

This paper will enumerate the objective of the financial management course offered

evaluate the course objectives. Furthermore, the paper will evaluate the lessons
learned. In the end, an inferred decision will be made based on my evaluation of the
course. I will infer from the analysis whether the course will be worth the
stakeholders investment. A few months ago I had the opportunity to enroll and
complete an online financial management course at the Benedictine University. The
course was taught by one of the proficient professors in the department of finance.
Even though I have taken other online courses prior to this class, this particular
course is worth analyzing because it was taught by a professor that loves teaching
and his love for teaching was apparent in the way he interacted with students. In my
opinion, he is a wonderful, knowledgeable and well experienced professor. He kept
the students (team) updated by posting pertinent announcement. Considering my
training as a scientist financial management was not one of my strong subjects,
however, the professor made sure that all students had an opportunity to learn the
fundamental concepts of managing the finance of firms. To this end, he was prompt
to answer the questions and gave excellent and detailed answers to all questions
asked by the students. In terms of the class discussions his feedbacks were added
The Case Of Plessy V. Ferguson
Segregation is the enforced separation of different racial groups in a country,
community, or establishment. During segregation people of different races had to
ride in different rail cars and attended separate schools. In two cases, Plessy V.
Ferguson and Brown V. Bored of Education, the Fourteenth Amendment was argued.
The outcome of these two court cases effected African Americans and their fight
against segregation. These two court case are similar in their fight for a cause
because they challenged the meaning of the same law, but different in their outcome.

Bartleby The Scrivener Response Essay
In nearly all situations of life, we find ourselves faced with the familiar face of a
blank wall: Ominous, judging, begrudging walls. Some tend to be symbolic; others
tend to be quite literal, both cases leaving us puzzled at how to get around such an
obstruction. In Herman Melville s short story Bartleby, The Scrivener, the title
character faces quite a similar dilemma. All throughout the story, Bartleby faces an
assortment of walls, most notably a blackened brick wall right outside his office
window. This wall becomes a preoccupation for him, leaving him in what one can
only call a dead wall reverie (Melville 17). By the end of the story the walls go from
an enclosure to, quite literally, a tomb for the distraught writer. Over the years,...

Bartleby s own implicit demise. Whether it be a result of being pushed away from
human contact, rejecting the concept of socialization, or an inability to relay what
must be said to others, Bartleby s situation lead to his descent into hopelessness
and death. Such points are addressed in Steven Ryan s interpretation, in which he
states: ...one could easily understand the...logic that would see within Bartleby s
dead wall reverie as...a recognition of the cosmic void (death, isolation...limitations)
(Ryan 42). For hours upon hours, Bartleby stands and stares aimlessly at the wall
outside his window and at the walls of the prison. He refuses to work, as he also
refuses to work. In the end, we alongside Bartleby realize there is no true escape
for him except prison or his own inevitable death. By rejecting all basic necessities
of life, Bartleby seems to come to his own acceptance of the latter, but is prepared
to face the former with the same motives; and that he does. The office walls and
prison walls are essentially the same to him, as he knows that both will do the same
thing to keep him contained. In the same manner, the walls of approaching

Plant Hormone Lab Report
Introduction
Hormones are fundamental to the growth of an organism. Hormones are the chemical
substances that travel to various targets within an organism in order to start a cellular
response. Hormones are used for different aspects of growth. For example,
gibberellins impact stem elongation in plants. Auxin, another plant hormone, softens
and increase plasticity of the cell walls, which aides in the growth of the plant s size
and shape (Georgia State s Department of Biological Sciences, 2015). There are
several types of auxins including natural and synthetic versions. In this lab we are

The bottle was then inverted four times to ensure mixture. Due to the shortage of

microliters of NAA on water days and mixed the concentration with deionized

Why I Should Be A Good Adult
It took me years to figure out what I wanted to be when I grow up. Truth be told I

that won t live to see spring! Or cooking, forbid it that I should ever enjoy cooking.
Half the time I mess up boiling water, and make macaroni solely from a microwave. I

compassionate and charismatic all the time. Those days when you can t seem to

stubborn, talkative child. She never seems older than five and she is always, always
clutching a tiny Snow White doll. She has incandescently blue eyes and she smiles
regardless of what has happened. The kind of kid who can t seem to shut up and is
friends with everyone. However, she flips the sounds of her letters. She doesn t mind
and it s kind of cute. It makes her name turn from Kelsey to Telsee.
I remember the day she was more scared than she had ever been in her entire life.
I remember the long hallway that seemed to lead to nowhere deep within the
recesses of a high school in a now long forgotten building. How her tiny hands
clutched to the doll as if it would save her from whatever creature was on the other
side of the door. I remember the panic she felt at being alone with an adult she had
never met. She dreamt up villains and monsters each more unlikely than the last, all
of whom had horns, and fangs, and terrified children everywhere. Without even the
solace of her mother, the girl marched on and her stubborn smile faded into a grimace
as neared the door.

The Rabbit Proof Fence Film Analysis
Welcome audience, I am here today to share my point of view of racism with new
Australians at this Australia day Citizenship ceremony. Although in the past racism
has been quite common in Australia our nation has tried and still is trying to
overcome this issue.
Racism happens in lots of different ways. You see it in movies, you hear it in jokes,
in bullying and through graffiti. (Racism, It Stops With Me. 2015). Racism is the
belief that human races have distinctive characteristics which determine their
respective cultures, usually involving the idea that one s own race is superior and has
the right to rule or dominate others . (The Macquarie Concise Dictionary, 1996). It
is relevant to Australia as it affects everybody in our society. For example; a range
of health problems including high blood pressure and heart disease, depression,
anxiety also people s employment and housing opportunities . (Yin Paradies, Ricci

The movie The Rabbit Proof Fence is a perfect example of past racism in Australia.
The movie is a true story about three young Aboriginal girls getting taken away from
their families to a camp to be trained as domestic servants, as a result of the official
Government policy. (David Stratton, 2009). The film is portraying the integration that
was founded on the assumption of white superiority and black inferiority. This
proposed that Indigenous people ought to be died out through a process of natural
elimination and to be forced to adjust into the white community. In order to
completely separate the children from their culture and adjust they had their names
changed and were forbidden to speak their traditional language. If some where not
adopted by white families they were placed in institutions, where abuse and

Critique Of The Heidegger s Hon 105
Thomas Rietz
Professor McNeill
HON 105 Philosophical Inquiry
Technology as Unconcealment
Throughout the entirety of human existence, man has thought within the realm of the
universe, and has relatively recently found the usage of technology as a means to an
end. Technology as a whole is reliant upon humanity for it s creation, and we are it s
sole provider of it s unconcealment.
These statements sum up what Martin Heidegger deplores about modern
technological thought. In fact, at first it seems that Heidegger despises technology.
Once one becomes more acclimated to his etymology, and looks more deeply into his
explanation, we see technology as a challenging forth, a prodding of the environment.
What Heidegger truly means to accomplish with his essay The Question Concerning
Technology is not to defame technological advancement or technology in general. It
is to ready humans for a free relationship with technology, and to make us think
critically and artfully about what the implications are for our current mode of
thought. We invoke the usage of technology, and create it. However, understanding
the essence of technology has become overly simplified. Understanding the essence
of technology should not be left to the technical, scientific minds as it is today, but
rather, the philosophical minds. Heidegger seems to say that without this
understanding, we will rot in the dismissive arrogance of presuming we control the
whole of existence.
The free relationship Heidegger
Turning Point Of D-Day Essay
One of the most important days in all of history had its beginnings in the
meteorological offices of two world powers. This day is none other then D day, the
turning point of World War II. Although years of military planning went into D day
the success if the invasion hinged entirely on a force out of any army s control, the
weather. The allied powers had to rely entirely on the weather forecasters of the
allied powers, most notably the U.S and UK to figure out what day would have the
proper conditions to land at Normandy. Even so, the final history changing
decision rested in the hands of one man, James Martin Stagg. Originally, the D day
invasion was planned to be on June 5th, but mere hours before the invasion was set
to start Stagg urged for a last minute delay of the attack. Stagg and his fellow
forecasters at Met. Office had predicted that the clear skies would soon be home to
ugly storms. This call went against the advice of the US forecasters who thought that
it was safe to go. This decision had the potential to jeopardize the entire mission....

Stagg s prediction and last minute decision had turned out to be the best one the
allies could ve made. If the allies would ve chosen to go on the 5th the invasion
would ve been halted by the a storm. If the allies had chosen to hold of there next
date for invasion would ve been two weeks later. As it turns out an unpredicted
storm would ve hindered the invasion even further. At this point it would ve been
nearly impossible for the Allies to attack without the Germans having some idea of
what they were going to do. To sum it up The key elements of surprise location and
time would ve been lost, and the conquest of Western Europe could well have taken
another year (The Weather Forecast that Saved D day). Without the help of the Allied
meteorologists this opportunity would ve surely been lost, making theirs the most
important weather forecast of all
Transcendence and Technology in William Gibson s

Transcendence and Technology in Neuromancer
Where do we go from here? Case asks near the conclusion of William Gibson s novel
Neuromancer (259). One answer suggested throughout most of the narrative is
nowhere. True, geographically we are whisked around the urban centers of Earth in
the near future, Chiba City, the Sprawl, Istanbul, and then to the orbital pleasure
domes and corporate stronghold of Freeside and Straylight. The kind of movement to
which I am referring is not overtly physical, though. Neuromancer articulates a
motion inward, its attention focused upon subtle interiors; it is implosive rather than
expansive, choosing to examine how technology affects the universe of self,
individual consciousness, rather than ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With this increasingly sophisticated technology, with the ability to remake the world
and ourselves, Case s question resonates self consciously: where do we go from here?
Neuromancer presents technology in an accelerating culture as a potent force capable
of facilitating escape, immersion, destruction, and even transcendence of self without
glamorizing or demonizing technology itself. Perhaps, in this manner, Gibson is able
to posit more than one viable answer to this paralyzing (peculiarly postmodern)
question.
As the gap between present and future grows smaller and becomes difficult to
discern, people and machines overlap and, in some cases, are indistinct or
interchangeable. If we move even twenty minutes into the future (a la Max Headroom
[1985]), as Larry McCaffrey states, we will encounter a world...unimaginably
transformed... (9). In this environment, where whole bodies of technique are
supplanted monthly , the soft flesh of the human body becomes a deliberately
unsupervised playground for technology itself (Neuromancer 4,11). Some cybernetic
implants, Molly s mirrorshaded eyes, her retractable razor claws, the brain sockets
built to accept microsofts, software allowing instant access to and mastery of entire

Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Climate Change
Greenhouse Gas Emissions Resulting in Climate Change
The Sun is responsible for all of the energy that enters the Earth s atmosphere. The
Earth s energy is in balance when Earth emits the same amount of energy as it
absorbs (Schneider, 1987). But today, the Earth is absorbing more energy than is
what is being released due to increases in greenhouse gases in the Earth s
atmosphere (Herbert, 2007). Out of the total energy entering the Earth s
atmosphere, as seen in Figure 1, only 30% is being reflected back into space due
the Earth s albedo (Schneider, 1987). The other 70% of this energy is being
absorbed by the Earth s surface and atmosphere (Schneider, 1987). Here we are
going to discuss how increasing greenhouse gas concentrations leads to climate
change, some consequences that come with climate change and what can be done
about it.
The Earth has been known to go through various natural warming and cooling
periods throughout history. During warmer interglacial periods, CO2 levels are
higher and during cooler glacial periods, CO2 levels are lower (Monnin, 2004). This
is because the heating and cooling of Earth s surface can cause significant changes in
greenhouse gas concentrations (Monnin, 2004). These changes often act as a positive
feedback, intensifying the existing temperature changes (Monnin, 2004). For
example, it was slightly warmer during the Holocene Climatic Optimum about 5,000
6,000 years ago and was slightly cooler during the Little Ice Age from about 1600 AD
How Does Montag Change In Fahrenheit 451
1. Throughout Fahrenheit 451 Guy Montag goes through many changes and by
the end of the story, he is ultimately an entirely different person. He is not
responsible for all of the changes on his own however, and several characters play
an essential role in shaping who he eventually becomes. At the beginning of the
book, Montag encounters a teenage girls named Clarisse. Clarisse is only present
for a short time, however she immediately gets Montag to think in a way he never
has before. She looks at the small things in life and goes against what the current
society tells her to think and do. She is different from everyone else in a very freeing
way and Montag starts to be drawn into her personality. She is like a burst of fresh

Any man who can take a TV wall apart and put it back together again, and most

This is a small excerpt from a conversation between Guy Montag and Captain Beatty.
Captain Beatty tells Montag of some of the problems (although they are not viewed
as problems) within their society and how they came to be. Beatty states that people
are fed so full of pointless information so they feel happy and knowledgable. He then
says this excerpt, about happiness and entertainment; the downfall of their society.
There is no depth in education. Only entertainment is valued, nothing else. The

The Importance Of The Fifth Amendment
Land has been an integral part of culture since the beginning of time. From the
Homestead Act to the modern real estate development age we care about where we
live. We showed in the American Revolution that we are willing to fight for the land
we love. However, under the Takings Clause of the 5th Amendment we are prevented
from this specific action, fighting for something we love. The Takings Clause states,
nor shall private propertybe taken for public use, without just compensation. (US
Const. Amend. V, sec. 3) The fifth amendment fails to protect the individual from the
unjust seizure of land from the government, for there is no clause that allows for
protecting one s land if not compelled to sell. Even when given the right, the
government, as seen through past landmark cases, has a very crooked definition of
public use.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1776, the Revolutionary War was fought to gives us the rights and the land we

Zelda Ocarina Of Time Research Paper
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was released in the November of 1998. Upon
its release it was widely acclaimed from critics to players. It s rare for a game for its
age to still be in talks today decades later. On Metacritic it s in the top 3 highest
rated games of all time. It s a game every 90 s kids remember and have played. No
one expected for Ocarina of Time to split the Zelda timeline into 3 and leave the
games into a whole new disaster. There are spoilers ahead for the Ocarina of Time,
so be warned. Here is an explanation of the 3 Zelda timelines and where the games

this timeline are the games from the SNES and NES so they all have the same
plot, being that Link must stop Ganon again to save the world. This timeline is the
most questionable because it s hard to see Link fail and lead a depressing timeline.

The Work Bicycle Thieves By Vittorio De Sica
The work Bicycle Thieves is chosen to be discussed in this essay. Bicycle Thieves
is an Italian film published in 1948, directed by Vittorio De Sica. It gained both
commercial and artistic success, and have won the Academy Award for Best
Foreign Language Film in 1948. The film is famous for its neorealism that reflects
the post war Italian society. In the following essay, I m going to discuss how did De
Sica use the cinematography skills to strengthen his expressions in Bicycle Thieves,
and the ways he conveys the meaning of the film.
De Sica claimed a film is reality transposed into the realm of poetry (Turan 103). So,
the principle of his directing is to be genuine and realistic. This shares some
similarities with the ideas of Italian neorealism. According to Ten points of
neorealism published by the Paris Journal in 1952, a neorealist movie should have
some of the following features: a message; topical scripts by concrete events; a sense
of the masses; realism; the truth of actors (often non professionals) and lighting;
refusal of the studio (Lielm 131 132). Bicycle Thieves comprise with most of the
characteristics mentioned above and made good use of them:
First, the selection of the actors. De Sica denied David Selznick s suggestion of
Cary Grant for the lead and his financial support. He insists on selecting
unprofessional actors to be the protagonists of the film. The factory worker Lamberto
Maggiorani played the leading role Antonio Ricci, and another
Stereotypes Of Aggression Analysis
There has been extensive amounts of research on the human processes that involve
the brain. An increasing amount of studies determined differences, in regards to the
brain, both structurally and chemically between the two genders. In recent years, a
number of neuroimaging studies have investigated the neural bases of aggressionand
violent behaviors. To study the development of aggression, as well as the reasons
behind it, is critical as aggressive behaviors are often associated with problematic
outcomes such as delinquency, substance abuse, criminal offences and related
problems of psychosocial malfunction (Barber Weichold 2007). One of the most
profound stereotypes associated with this topic states that male individuals are
predominantly more aggressive than female individuals, especially in terms of
physical aggression. In order to understand the differences in such behaviors, it is
crucial to understand the origin of neural anatomy in aggression and violent
behaviors. There has been significant progress in the understanding of the area of
which men and women differ in their biopsychological processes.
Aggression and its Stereotypes
Aggression can be defined as behavior that is intended to cause pain or harm to
others, as well as objects in the environment or even oneself (Breedlove Watson,

Tao Qian s Returning To The Farm To Dwell
Tao Qian was governor of Xu province during the late Eastern Han Dynasty of
China and one of China s greatest poets. Qian spent 13 years as a government
official at different posts. Afterwards, he became magistrate of Pengze and held
this position for eighty days before suddenly resigning. Qian s decision to resign
was based primarily on his disgust with the excessive formality and widespread
corruption of the government at that time. He gathered up his wife and children and
moved to his family farm to pursue a life of self sufficiency and reclusiveness. Qian
believed that nature was a haven from administration and office; he thought
individuals must remove themselves to the countryside to bring them back to being
one with nature. While some may argue that Tao Qian s idea of seclusion from the
chaos of the world made him a recluse, I believe it only created his sanctuary.
However, Qian had to reach complete destitute before he could achieve this.... Show

After completing the Inventories (1 4) I gain more knowledge about how I feel
about death, and also the United States statistics on dying. I believe that technology
advancements have been a curse and a blessing to make life shorter or longer. Motor
vehicles accidents, heart disease, and homicide are the top leading causes of deathin
today s society. (Kastenbaum, 2012). Technology advancements have contributed to
this increase tremendously. The hydra fish is considered immortal because of its

and more of their stem cells lose the ability to proliferate, (in other words form new
cells). That also means that aging tissues are unable to regenerate, which explains...

The Domestic Price Of Silver
China, while under the Qing dynasty and was being ruled by the Manchus, they lost
in the Opium Wars. As the wars led China into financial crisis, corruption led to
various forms of protests and reform movements and eventually to the rise of the
nationalism, which put an end to the last dynasty. One of the causes of the corruption
was the opium trade. There were two most important official concerns about the
trade. According to Harry, one was the damage done to the health and capacity for
work of the people using opium, especially the addicts. The other was the economic
damage (Harry, 5). Most importantly, too much silver was being paid to foreign
merchants for opium, and thus leaving China. The domestic price of silver was
therefore going up. But the price of everyday copper cash remained the same. So
tax payments, which had to be made in silver, were effectively tax increases, causing
much popular resentment and social unrest (Harry, 8). High taxation and corruption
worked only to oppress and worsen the life the poor, which led to various rebellions
and the raise of the peasant that worked against the Qing government. Taiping

of the Taiping Rebellion: political, economical, social, and cultural events. One of the

Analysis Of Song Of Solomon
For as long as we can remember race has always been a controversial topic. Due to
this most of our historical content is composed of violent acts between races. Blacks
are compared to a brown egg, unwanted, and fragile. Everyone, no matter what skin

also dark skinned and believe that raceis what decides your social status therefore
they become influenced by what they believe is correct and good. Others love their

Alcohol And Hepatocellular Tumor
The liver is the organ responsible for filtering chemicals and metabolizing drugs. It
also makes proteins responsible for blood clotting and other functions. When alcohol
reaches the liver, it produces a dangerous enzyme known as acetaldehyde. The liver
needs water to do its basic functions. Alcohol acts as a diuretic and dehydrates the
body, depriving the liverof the water it needs to function. When acetaldehyde and
other alcoholic toxins build up in the liver, they can cause a variety of health
problems.
One of the most commonly known problems of the liver caused by alcohol is
hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a type of liver cancer. There are other types of liver
cancers, such as cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer of the bile duct, and hepatic
angiosarcoma, a rare malignant mesenchymal tumor. Both of these cancers are not
caused by alcohol abuse. HCC is caused by cirrhosis or other long term damage to
the liver. Cirrhosis is most often caused by alcohol abuse, hemochromatosis, or a

in a couple of important ways (Somanader, 2015). First, they argue patients are
healthier when they leave a hospital stay, describing how from 2010 to 2013,
50,000 fewer people have died as the result of hospital errors and infections. They
also explain that new care models allow patients to access their doctor when they
need to. However, the White House also acknowledges that more work needs to be
done (Somander, 2015). One significant way the ability to obtain quality care has
been impacted is through the removal of pre existing condition exclusions. Patients

One that requires the cooperation of government, insurance companies, hospitals, and
individual doctors.
Finally, the impact of the ACA on the cost of the health care system will be
evaluated. Overall, health care spending in the U.S. has continued to grow but at a
much slower rate. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reported that
health care spending grew at the lowest rate ever recorded (Hartman, Martin,
Lassman, Catlin, 2014). This was in part due to the ACA. Other factors included
slow economic growth and increases in private health insurance spending.
Additionally, a greater number of high deductible insurance plans and an increase
in the share of health costs for which the patient is responsible have also increased.
It is also possible that people not accessing health care is a factor, in addition to
cost controls (Fernandez as cited in Ungar O Donnell, 2014). There is also the
possibility that spending will grow faster as the economy continues to improve
(Ungar O Donnell, 2014). The growth of health spending has slowed, however the
impact of the ACA on this is unclear. According the the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services, the law is at least in part responsible for this. However, faster
growth may return as the economy grows. The evidence is clearest that the ACA has
improved access as far as it has increased the number of Americans with health
insurance. As far as the other
The Importance Of Righteousness In The Book Of Job
Book of Job
Job was a righteous man who feared God and upheld divine standards. He
abounded in gifts of mercy and acts of godly devotion. Job routinely offered
sacrifices to atone for his children s sins. Hence, God was quite pleased to observe
as His servant maintained integrity in his dealings (Carney, 2014). The Almighty
spoke about Job s godly devotion to Satan the Devil. It was then that the latter
questioned Job s motives. In fact, Satan claimed that Job was primarily concerned
with selfish interests. The Devil accused God of providing inordinate protection to
his servant. In this regard, the Almighty was presumed to have bribed Job. God saw
it fit to allow Satan to bring trials upon Job to test the patriarch s motives (Carney,
2014). In this essay, I will highlight the significance of righteousness in the debates
between Job and his friends.
Job s debate with his friends was precipitated by the former s determination to
uphold righteous standards. Notably, Job experienced tremendous tribulations due to
Satan s efforts. His 10 children died while his livestock was killed. Job s servants
also died under mysterious circumstances. Unfortunately, his wife deserted and
mocked him for his faith in God. In fact, she taunted him to curse God and die.
Nevertheless, these events could not break Job s integrity. Satan was determined to
intensify his physical attacks on Job. The patriarch was struck with a debilitating
illness that subjected him to constant pain (Carney, 2014).
Soliloquies In Hamlet Essay
Shakespearian Techniques
Have you ever watched a play or a movie and at one point the actor or actress starts
talking to themselves? This is known as a soliloquy and it is an amazing technique
play writers or movie makers use. These soliloquies can tell people a lot of things.
It s a great way of showing the truth or the real feelings of a character. However, this
technique is centuries and can date back to the Shakespearian era. Shakespeare
himself used soliloquies all throughout his plays. He uses soliloquies to reveal Hamlet
s true feelings. It even exposes Hamlet on what he really thinks of his incestuous
uncle and mother. We also get to see the true pain Hamlet suffers with grieving for
his dead father. In Hamlet s soliloquy,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all, so excellent a king, that was to this Hyperion to a satyr (Shakespeare).
Here Hamlet tell us that his father was an excellent King, and this new one, Hamlet
s uncle, is a terrible King. Hamlet loved his father, and he also loved him for being
a King. Furthermore, So loving to my mother that he might not beteem the winds
of heaven (Shakespeare). Hamlet s father loved Hamlet and his mother. Hamlet
loved his father too. However Hamlet s mother didn t really love him back. Hamlet
hates his mother for this. For betraying what Hamlet sees as a god. Moreover, O
God, a beast that wants discourse of reason would have mourned longer
(Shakespeare). It was a tragedy for the kingdom when King Hamlet died. Hamlet
even believes that everyone including animals had mourned King Hamlet s death
because of how great of a man Hamlet saw in his father. In conclusion, Hamlet
shows he love and misses by explaining how great of a king his father was, showing
how loving his father was, and saying everyone was mourning his death because he
was such a great man. While Hamlet exposes his real feelings for his mother and
father, we see how toxic he is in relation to his uncle. To start, that was to this
Hyperion to a satyr (Shakespeare). Hamlet describes his father as a Hyperion, one of
the first twelve titan children from the greek mythology. However, his uncle is a
Historical Background Of Fahrenheit 451
Background:
Author: Ray Bradbury Country: United States Title: Fahrenheit 451 Genre: Dystopian
/Science Fiction Publication: October 1953
Historical and Biographical Information: Ray Bradbury was born on September 22,
1920, in Waukegan, Illinois. His novel, Fahrenheit 451 was originally called The Fire
Man. Ray Bradbury wanted to warn about a possible future if the problems he saw
in his time continued. He began writing The Fire Man at home in Venice,
California. He finished writing his book at the University of California at Los
Angeles (UCLA). He spent $9.80 typing this book with every half hour costing a
dime. He finished the book with Clarisse s fate still uncertain, but later in films,
Clarisse was rescued in the forest along with the other supporters of reading and
thinking. Although Clarisse was rescued in the film, Bradbury chose not to change
the novel to be the same. He believes that a writer s original work should not be
altered because the author s thoughts are purely his own and convey their own
message and unique style.
Characters:
Guy Montag: Guy Montag is the protagonist in the novel that changes from being a
fireman burning books to believing that books are essential to life. He was
inspired by Clarisse and the woman who burned herself for books to continue to be
read and go against society. While taking out the books he collected after the old
woman opened his eyes to its importance he said, Here now [...] We ll start over

Proofread My Essay

  • 1. Proofread My Essay Writing an essay on the topic "Proofread My Essay" may seem like a straightforward task at first glance, but delving into the intricacies of self-proofreading can be quite challenging. The difficulty arises from the inherent bias that comes with being the author of the essay. When you've spent a significant amount of time crafting and refining your work, it becomes increasingly challenging to spot errors or areas that require improvement. The human mind tends to overlook its own mistakes due to familiarity with the content. You become accustomed to the structure, style, and flow of your writing, making it harder to detect issues such as grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, or inconsistencies in your arguments. The very act of proofreading necessitates a fresh perspective, one that is often difficult to achieve when you are deeply immersed in your own work. Moreover, the emotional attachment to your writing can cloud your judgment. Accepting constructive criticism and acknowledging the need for revisions can be emotionally challenging. It requires a certain level of detachment to critically assess your own writing objectively. The essay's effectiveness also hinges on your ability to distance yourself from the content and approach it with a critical eye. This self-evaluation process demands a high level of self- awareness, attention to detail, and a willingness to invest time and effort into reviewing and revising your work thoroughly. In conclusion, while writing an essay on the topic "Proofread My Essay" may initially seem like a straightforward task, it unveils its own set of challenges. The difficulty lies not only in the technical aspects of proofreading but also in overcoming the subjective nature of self-assessment. Achieving objectivity and accepting the need for revisions can be formidable hurdles in the quest for a polished and error-free essay. For those who find themselves grappling with such challenges, there are alternatives. Similar essays and more comprehensive writing assistance can be sought from professional services like HelpWriting.net. • 2. Legacy of Christopher Columbus The Legacy of Christopher Columbus Abstract After many centuries, a lot of controversy still surrounds Christopher Columbus. He remains to be a strange figure in history regarded as a famous explorer and a great mariner who made many discoveries in his days. Other people still regard him as a visionary and a national hero while others chose to remember him as a brutal and greedy person who used the rest of the humanity for his own selfish gains. Despite the fact that there have been protests in his being honored through a holiday referred to as the Columbus Day, he still deserves recognition and acknowledgement as a historical figure performed a great role in the making of the modern world. 1.0 Introduction Christopher Columbus was a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Several cities in the United States of America including Berkeley, South Dakota and Hawaii have also replaced the day with other alternatives to celebrate. Cities in American that still recognize and celebrate the day parade street shows that feature street dances, Italian food and other activities that teach about the Native American culture. The arrival of Columbus in 1492 has been viewed with mixed feelings with others believing the day should be viewed as an occasion for mourning. Some activists advocate for the day to be replaced with a day for ethnic diversity. The belief that he discovered America is not to say that he was the first to set his eyes on America, it meant that he opened up America to new opportunities. This was by bringing America to the attention of the New World by bringing the civilization of Western Europe to its residents. It was the discoveries of Columbus that led to an interaction of ideas and people and different cultures that made America what it is today. 3.0The Columbus Controversy The famous explorer has been regarded as a hero only for his achievements and accomplishments only for them to be darkened by his crimes of genocide, slavery and rape thus the controversy arises as to how he should be remembered . In his quest to find riches and conquer new lands, Columbus encountered many native people who he treated as

The first person that went was Brutus which they should never speak first if they are trying to win a crowd over because the person after can use. He tried to justify why he needed to kill Caesar. Rome needed to be judged by someone. Brutus did say he had a lot of honor and that he was loyal to Caesar but more loyal to Rome. His point was to impress the people of Rome. The Arcane Relationship Of African And European Renaissance The Arcane Relationship of Africans and European Renaissance During the European Renaissance, the immigration of African individual to Europe were mostly for economic purposes which indirectly, caused an increase in cultural diversity within Europe. However, a vast majority of Africans during the European Renaissance were slaves. European s had their own definition of civilization . To be considered civilized, it depends on a number of factor such as hierarchical structure, social organisation, and descendant history. This label allowed European to distinguished themselves apart from Africans which they labeled as barbarians . Throughout the European Renaissance, not much was known about Africans since Europeans did not document them well. Recovering pieces of Africans history, especially the relationship with European, is critical because more knowledge of their past will help demystify any misconceptions. In Africa, they developed an economical relationship with the European nation. As a result, this led to the outcome of diversity within Europe. Prior to European/African relationship, African rulers established trade links with the Mediterranean world, Western Asia, and Indian Ocean region. The expansion provided Europeans goods that included, cloth, iron, copper, jewelry, beads, and more. In exchange, Europeans return with textiles, carving, spices. It s also to note that African manufactures of creating items was superior quality to those from
  • 5. Group And Group Dynamics In American Cultures In The... In society, movies and television shows often show aspects of group and group interactions, especially between teenagers. Although there are many examples of this, one movie that shows multiple group dynamics in American culture is The Breakfast Club. The movies shows how aspects of society affect the way that people behave, who they choose to surround themselves with, and how people view others. The Breakfast Club greatly exemplifies group dynamics, in this case, between teenagers. The group of students start off as a disconnected group of kids from all different backgrounds and lifestyles. For the most part the kids are not friends and as far as they can tell at first, don t have anything in common. This causes conflict between them; they argue about their backgrounds, they make fun of each other, and they judge each other because of how different each one of them is from everyone else. The kids have conflicting views and can t see eye to eye. Overtime this begins to somewhat change. As they are forced to spend more time with each other, they begin to work together to protect and cover for one another. They help each other hide from the teachers at the school, and protect each other from getting in too much trouble. The characters realize that they actually have more in common than they thought. They begin to look past each other s differences and get brought together by the fact that they are all in detention together and want to make the most out of it. By

Till now, the jugaad was mainly considered as way to get some things done quickly, saving time. Using a small rubber piece to stop water from the ceiling instead of getting it repaired permanently, or traveling on the bus roof instead of waiting of a vacant bus. These are a couple of jugaads that are done on a daily basis just to preserve time. Some unethical methods such as selling of milk mixed with water or, getting a seat in a college even if the seats are full, are also the part of jugaad. Understand that individuals with disabilities have the same right as everyone else to take risks 1.2 Explain why, traditionally, people with disabilities have been discouraged or prevented from taking risks. In Social Care there is an accountability for the welfare of the individual, whether they are being cared for or enabled to be independent. The enabler has responsibility for the individual, and the Company that provides the service to the client has responsibility towards both the enabler and the individual. Here we have an example of risk that was assessed, taken, and culminated uncomfortably. The customer left the premises quickly. Do I take the individual again another time? Or should we abandon all attempts to visit the cafe? It would be easier with two enablers, so one could find out information when the individual arrived at the premises, whilst the other enabler supported the individual. But there is no funding for 2 1 care. This leaves a situation where risk will always be present, but the skills of the enablers will hopefully grow as they learn ways of promoting positive behaviour in the community. 1.3 Describe the links between risk taking and responsibility, empowerment and social inclusion. Anybody who takes a full role in society takes risks: crossing the road, using a bus, driving a car, and talking to people they do not know. Risk may be physical (injury and accident), emotional (humiliation, sense of failure), or mental (stress). A person who is excluded from a group is disempowered. Inclusion is a strong and forceful need. Many people consider being part of a tribe, gang, clique or social group a necessary part of their life. Exclusion is disempowering. We are aware of bullying in schools, and the words still resound in my ears, You can t be part of our gang! With inclusion and empowerment comes the responsibility and consequences of taking part in society in a socially acceptable way. This is laid out in
  • 8. Using Animals Symbolically by Using Poetic Devices Essay Using Animals Symbolically by Using Poetic Devices I will be discussing the ways in which the poets use animals symbolically by using poetic devices. The three poems that I have chosen are The Tyger by William Blake, The Eagle by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Lastly, Pied Beauty by Gerard Manley Hopkins. Alfred Lord Tennyson has used an image of an eagle to give the reader an image of a man standing on a cliff top waiting for his world to fall around him. He is in a desolate area; there is no society near him ringed with the azure world. He stands . He watches the sea pass lower than him his world collapses beneath him n he falls. Burning bright This is an example from The Tyger Metaphors of fire and blazing are emphasize by duplication of the B sound. The B sound makes it stronger and powerful to use. My second choice is Pied Beauty . Gerard Manley Hopkins who was born in 1844 wrote this poem. The poem is tells us about all the different creatures that God has shaped. Explaining how for many belongings in nature there is a contradictory. He is also telling the reader that we should be thankful towards it and the entire God gifted. In the poem, there are uses of some oxymoron s by using them it shows the different extremes that exist within nature. This is similar to the Tyger. In addition, that shows the readers that to keep the balance on the planet God has created an opposite. Adazzle, dim . With swift, slow; sweet, sour He uses animals as one of God s gift for our nature and used them symbolically for the exquisiteness of the planet. My third choice of poem is The Tyger written by William Blake. This poem shows the evilness of the

Some tend to be symbolic; others tend to be quite literal, both cases leaving us puzzled at how to get around such an obstruction. In Herman Melville s short story Bartleby, The Scrivener, the title character faces quite a similar dilemma. All throughout the story, Bartleby faces an assortment of walls, most notably a blackened brick wall right outside his office window. This wall becomes a preoccupation for him, leaving him in what one can only call a dead wall reverie (Melville 17). Whether it be a result of being pushed away from human contact, rejecting the concept of socialization, or an inability to relay what must be said to others, Bartleby s situation lead to his descent into hopelessness and death. Such points are addressed in Steven Ryan s interpretation, in which he states: ...one could easily understand the...logic that would see within Bartleby s dead wall reverie as...a recognition of the cosmic void (death, isolation...limitations) (Ryan 42). For hours upon hours, Bartleby stands and stares aimlessly at the wall outside his window and at the walls of the prison. He refuses to work, as he also refuses to work. In the end, we alongside Bartleby realize there is no true escape for him except prison or his own inevitable death. By rejecting all basic necessities of life, Bartleby seems to come to his own acceptance of the latter, but is prepared to face the former with the same motives; and that he does. The office walls and prison walls are essentially the same to him, as he knows that both will do the same thing to keep him contained. In the same manner, the walls of approaching

Critique Of The Heidegger s Hon 105 Thomas Rietz Professor McNeill HON 105 Philosophical Inquiry Technology as Unconcealment Throughout the entirety of human existence, man has thought within the realm of the universe, and has relatively recently found the usage of technology as a means to an end. Technology as a whole is reliant upon humanity for it s creation, and we are it s sole provider of it s unconcealment. These statements sum up what Martin Heidegger deplores about modern technological thought. In fact, at first it seems that Heidegger despises technology. Once one becomes more acclimated to his etymology, and looks more deeply into his explanation, we see technology as a challenging forth, a prodding of the environment. What Heidegger truly means to accomplish with his essay The Question Concerning Technology is not to defame technological advancement or technology in general. It is to ready humans for a free relationship with technology, and to make us think critically and artfully about what the implications are for our current mode of thought. We invoke the usage of technology, and create it. However, understanding the essence of technology has become overly simplified. Understanding the essence of technology should not be left to the technical, scientific minds as it is today, but rather, the philosophical minds. Heidegger seems to say that without this understanding, we will rot in the dismissive arrogance of presuming we control the whole of existence. The free relationship Heidegger

  • 23. Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Climate Change Greenhouse Gas Emissions Resulting in Climate Change The Sun is responsible for all of the energy that enters the Earth s atmosphere. The Earth s energy is in balance when Earth emits the same amount of energy as it absorbs (Schneider, 1987). But today, the Earth is absorbing more energy than is what is being released due to increases in greenhouse gases in the Earth s atmosphere (Herbert, 2007). Out of the total energy entering the Earth s atmosphere, as seen in Figure 1, only 30% is being reflected back into space due the Earth s albedo (Schneider, 1987). The other 70% of this energy is being absorbed by the Earth s surface and atmosphere (Schneider, 1987). Here we are going to discuss how increasing greenhouse gas concentrations leads to climate change, some consequences that come with climate change and what can be done about it. The Earth has been known to go through various natural warming and cooling periods throughout history. During warmer interglacial periods, CO2 levels are higher and during cooler glacial periods, CO2 levels are lower (Monnin, 2004). This is because the heating and cooling of Earth s surface can cause significant changes in greenhouse gas concentrations (Monnin, 2004). These changes often act as a positive feedback, intensifying the existing temperature changes (Monnin, 2004). For example, it was slightly warmer during the Holocene Climatic Optimum about 5,000 6,000 years ago and was slightly cooler during the Little Ice Age from about 1600 AD

Bicycle Thieves is an Italian film published in 1948, directed by Vittorio De Sica. It gained both commercial and artistic success, and have won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1948. The film is famous for its neorealism that reflects the post war Italian society. In the following essay, I m going to discuss how did De Sica use the cinematography skills to strengthen his expressions in Bicycle Thieves, and the ways he conveys the meaning of the film. De Sica claimed a film is reality transposed into the realm of poetry (Turan 103). So, the principle of his directing is to be genuine and realistic. This shares some similarities with the ideas of Italian neorealism. According to Ten points of neorealism published by the Paris Journal in 1952, a neorealist movie should have some of the following features: a message; topical scripts by concrete events; a sense of the masses; realism; the truth of actors (often non professionals) and lighting; refusal of the studio (Lielm 131 132). Bicycle Thieves comprise with most of the characteristics mentioned above and made good use of them: First, the selection of the actors. As the wars led China into financial crisis, corruption led to various forms of protests and reform movements and eventually to the rise of the nationalism, which put an end to the last dynasty. One of the causes of the corruption was the opium trade. There were two most important official concerns about the trade. According to Harry, one was the damage done to the health and capacity for work of the people using opium, especially the addicts. The other was the economic damage (Harry, 5). Most importantly, too much silver was being paid to foreign merchants for opium, and thus leaving China. The domestic price of silver was therefore going up. But the price of everyday copper cash remained the same. So tax payments, which had to be made in silver, were effectively tax increases, causing much popular resentment and social unrest (Harry, 8). They also explain that new care models allow patients to access their doctor when they need to. However, the White House also acknowledges that more work needs to be done (Somander, 2015). Finally, the impact of the ACA on the cost of the health care system will be evaluated. Overall, health care spending in the U.S. has continued to grow but at a much slower rate. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reported that health care spending grew at the lowest rate ever recorded (Hartman, Martin, Lassman, Catlin, 2014). This was in part due to the ACA. Other factors included slow economic growth and increases in private health insurance spending. Additionally, a greater number of high deductible insurance plans and an increase in the share of health costs for which the patient is responsible have also increased. It is also possible that people not accessing health care is a factor, in addition to cost controls (Fernandez as cited in Ungar O Donnell, 2014). There is also the possibility that spending will grow faster as the economy continues to improve (Ungar O Donnell, 2014). The growth of health spending has slowed, however the impact of the ACA on this is unclear. According the the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the law is at least in part responsible for this. However, faster growth may return as the economy grows. The evidence is clearest that the ACA has improved access as far as it has increased the number of Americans with health insurance. As far as the other

Job routinely offered sacrifices to atone for his children s sins. Hence, God was quite pleased to observe as His servant maintained integrity in his dealings (Carney, 2014). The Almighty spoke about Job s godly devotion to Satan the Devil. It was then that the latter questioned Job s motives. In fact, Satan claimed that Job was primarily concerned with selfish interests. The Devil accused God of providing inordinate protection to his servant. In this regard, the Almighty was presumed to have bribed Job. God saw it fit to allow Satan to bring trials upon Job to test the patriarch s motives (Carney, 2014). In this essay, I will highlight the significance of righteousness in the debates between Job and his friends. Job s debate with his friends was precipitated by the former s determination to uphold righteous standards. Notably, Job experienced tremendous tribulations due to Satan s efforts. His 10 children died while his livestock was killed. Job s servants also died under mysterious circumstances. Unfortunately, his wife deserted and mocked him for his faith in God. In fact, she taunted him to curse God and die. Nevertheless, these events could not break Job s integrity. Satan was determined to intensify his physical attacks on Job. The patriarch was struck with a debilitating illness that subjected him to constant pain (Carney, 2014).
