For the Perfect Square exercise, our class was divided up into three different groups. We were
instructed to place a blindfold over our eyes where we were completely unable to see. Then the
observers lined our group up into a straight line, who then brought us one long rope that all of us
would hold. We were instructed to form a perfect square with the rope but without the use of sight. I
remember feeling a bit dumbfounded initially, not having a clue how we would complete this task.
Then amongst our group we started off the activity by numbering ourselves off down the line. This
allowed us to form an idea who would have to be the corners and ends of the square. Our group as a
whole communicated good early, but started to mainly followed the orders of one individual, Daniel
Rice. He started taking the reins on the leadership role. By instructing things like who should take so
many steps where and keeping a constant idea where everyone was, Daniel was able to effectively
lead us. This gave me a better feeling of completing the goal than at the beginning of the exercise.
Through the use of communication, a number system, and Daniel s leadership style, we were able to
feel more comfortable about performing our task. Forming the square I could gain a sense in my mind
where I was supposed to be in relation to the person next to me. If it had to be an arms length or

CD Package Design
I was inspired by watercolor portraits and CD packaging designs from other students. I decided to
incorporate this idea into the CD package design. Throughout the CD Package, I added a faded
textured in the background of the design. Within the background on the back panel, I added a
transparent photograph of a cricket to keep consistent with the title of the album name. Then, added
paint splatters and rendered them to make the model as a recognizable subject for the cover. In
addition, I added the song titles and an excerpt inside the front sleeve of the cover. Furthermore, I used
three colors: cerulean blue, chartreuse green, and indigo purple throughout the project. Lastly, I added
a barcode, a record label logo, and fictitious information to make the entire CD package look realistic.

For the month of May, I created a calendar page using Franklin Gothic typeface and added different
shades of green and a beige color for the background in the calendar. I expanded the word May and

Thanks to actors like Chloë Grace Moretz, Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, the young adult teen genre
is alive and well on the big screen. However, this is not a cinematic category that s without its
criticisms as films of this nature tend to cater heavily to a young female demographic.
With that said, is this genre receiving the proverbial bad rap? Should we (and by that I mean anyone
outside the age range of 13 23 years old) be giving these films more attention that they re ultimately
garnering?

Not only does she need to care for herself she has demonstrated that she is impatient and very hot
tempered, a personality unfit to taking care of someone with Autism.
In accordance with the fact that Judy needs to care for herself and her personality does not allow her to
be a good guardian, Judy runs away from her problems instead of facing them. Judy has been absent
from Christopher s life, because she found caring for him to be too difficult, and so she left with Mr.

John Szarkowski is an American photographer and curator, whose opinions on a photograph s
narrative and direction are highly valued. In his time he analyzed many works of art, and produced
many different interpretations, one being the ideals of mirrors and windows.
The concept of mirrors and windows in photography can be easily defined, but also vague as well. To
state it simply, since the rest is figurative and metaphorical, mirrors are reflections of what is looking
into it, and windows are panes of glass that allow you to see out. When photographing a picture, based
on what you re looking at and what you re trying to capture, one can symbolize a window or a mirror.
When a photo is resembling a mirror, it is an introspective narrative between the photographer and the
viewer. It is an internalized dialogue when piecing it together to see the reflection. The viewer must
approach it as if a literal mirror, to interpret what the message and main theme of the photo is.
Meanwhile, a window is more of a direct observation; of a person, thing, or message, it doesn t matter.
When a photo is symbolized as a window, one can usually see a clear message, and can decipher what
the photographer was aiming to convey.
