The Truth Of The Bible
Question 9 I believe the time isn t relevant as far as wear I will spend eternity, four there s two ways of
that can happen. First of all, nobody is immune to die at any point in time for went is your time to go
you have no control over it. Second of all, Jesus can come anytime. Therefore, if either of these events
happens, eternity awaits. Are used to think that the younger you are the least you need to worry about
these two events happening. On the contrary, the acknowledgment that Jesus is the only way and the
one hole redeemed us is now, not later, not when you feel like it, the time is now.
Question 10 I believe that the main source of truth is the Bible. On the other hand, God is an infinite
God, and if he chooses any other means for you to find truth, you will find it, weather if it is through
dreams or through other Scriptures. However, God can choose to reveal himself outside of
Christianity. I have heard that throughout the Muslim faith several have come to know Jesus through
their own scripture, the Quran. In addition, others have begun to believe in Jesus through dreams.
Perhaps, God can choose any means to reveal himself. I do not know why there are so many different
religions; perhaps, this is what makes us different from each other. Not everybody thinks the same
way. I also believe that there is an accuser who hates humankind and doesn t want humanity to see
clear, that the more confused we are the better it is. Epistemology is the hypothesis of

Social Changes During The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution caused many changes. The three main changes that are quite noticeable are
technological, social, and economic changes. Great examples of theses changes can be found within a
variety of sources, but mainly coming from my history textbook. Massive technological changes in
machines, energy use, and transportation (technological). It resulted in rapid urbanization, and it
created different social classes (social). This led to the development of Laissez Faire capitalism,
socialism, utilitarianism, socialism, and communism (economic). To start, technological changes were
one of the main changes during the Industrial Revolution. It all started with the substitution of
mechanical devices for human skills, then everything changed. Machinery was applied first in coal
mining and textiles. The new machines, methods, and techniques quickly spread into other industrial
areas. For example, the use of steam engines in transportation led to the railroad system, vastly
increasing the speed, reliability, and amount of goods moved over long distances, converting the
nation into one unified market. This led to a plethora of other technical changes, with iron, steel,
bridge building, organization, and communication. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the Industrial Revolution, the social structure of society definitely changed. Before the
Revolution, many people lived in small villages, either doing work with agriculture, or crafting.
Everything was mainly done by hand, but with industrialization, came a jurassic change. The new
enclosure laws left farmers jobless, and machines made small hand weavers redundant. As a result,
many people were forced to work in factories. This caused many families to move closer to their jobs,
but more importantly, many become poor. Due to the increase in urbanization, many families priorities
changed. As a result, social classes were slowly

Females Should Be Allowed In Sports Essay
We currently live in the 21st century were people constantly fight for equality, but one of the major
issues dealing with equality is whether or not girls should be allowed to play on boys sport teams. For
starts we have to ask the question whether it is even appropriate for females to play with males.
Considering the fact of simple differences in sporting tastes and physical make up. Don t get me
wrong only a few people argue that females can t play on male teams. Believe it or not some can
actually compete with some males in sports. If you actually look into there is a significant difference
in what males play and what females play. Along the lines in high school most males play contact
sports like football, basketball, and various contact sports, were females tend to play ... Show more

Look at it this way imagine some like Ray Lewis sacking a quarterback that is a female or someone
like LeBron James dunking on someone like Maya Moore. Spectators wouldn t really like to see that
happen. If females were really able to play on the same team as males, organizations would have to
invest in separate shower areas and changing rooms for simple reason for sexually harassment for one.
Secondly you have to think of terms of injuries, with females in the same league as males injuries will
totally increase. On the professional level players actually get paid millions every year, with females
as their teammates, sporting organizations have to worry about relationship taking place on their
teams, difficulty in deciding salary caps to keep everyone happy. I think females should be able to
participle in sports, I just don t think females shouldn t be able to participating in professional sports
with males simply because very really dangerous for people who are participating, Males are just
more aggressive than females are and they could easy get hurt while

The Dysfunctional Relationship Of John And Sarah
Introduction
This case study will discuss the dysfunctional relationship of John and Sarah, by having a hypothesis
in place and using the family system theory concept to further apply circular questioning to test the
hypothesis will help determine where the issues started in their relationship. The genogram will be
discussed and identification of behavioural partners passed down from generations will be explored
and brief discussion around her father suicide will be addressed and the impacts of this in her family
system. Additionally John and Sarah s strengths and challenges will be identified testing the
hypothesis. Lastly a summary of John and Sarah s counselling strategies, goal and interventions will
be presented in this case study.
Hypothesis Sarah and John relationship issues have resulted in separation stemming from lack of
communication, anxiety, isolation and disconnection resulting in a dysfunctional marriage. Their lack
of interaction in their relationship and being unaware of each family members feeling and behavior
has contributed to their marriage break down. John feels, Sarah does not pay attention to him since the
kids were born. Sarah finds John irresponsible and that she needs to do look after the responsibility in
the family otherwise it would not get done. Another hypothesis is that Sarah has experienced an
unnatural death in her family by her father Max who committed suicide, which contributes to Sarah
feelings that she was to blame for his

Breast Cancer Research Paper
Most people know at least one person who currently has or has had breast cancer at one point. Breast
cancer is one of the most common cancers there are, affecting 1 in 8 women at some point in their life
time. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that starts in the cells of a breast. A malignant tumor is a
group of cells that can spread to other parts of the body. Although breast cancer is mostly in women,
men can get breast cancer too. There is no true known reason why women get cancer, but there are
several scenarios that can increase the risk of getting breast cancer, most genetic and lifestyle choices.
Age is a scenario that increases the chance of getting breast cancer. Women between age 50 and age
70 are where 8 out of 10 breast cancer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One treatment is chemotherapy. Chemotherapy uses drugs to kill cancer cells but can cause side
effects of nausea, hair loss, early menopause, hot flashes, fatigue and temporarily lower blood counts.
Another treatment is hormone therapy. Hormone Therapy prevents hormones, especially estrogen,
from helping cancerous cells in the breast grow and spread. A third treatment, biological therapy, uses
the immune system to destroy the cancer cells. The survival rate for breast cancer depends on how
early the cancer is caught. If caught before cancer forms or in Stage 1 of breast cancer, the survival
rate is guaranteed, one hundred percent. Stage 2 survival dips a little bit to 93%. If caught in Stage 3
the survival rate is still pretty good at 73%. But if a woman makes it to Stage 4 breast cancer, her
survival rate plummets to 22%. In 2015 alone, there is projected to be about 231,000 new cases of
breast cancer, with a projected 40,000 dying. Studies show that about 1 in 8 women will experience
some form or stage of breast cancer in their

5 3. The Lawsuit In this essay, the massive design war between mobile devices giants Apple and
Samsung will be summarized and reviewed. This lawsuit was the first of a series of ongoing lawsuits
between the two. Apple s multinational lawsuits concerning mainly technology patents became known
as the mobile device patent war; extensive litigation in fierce competition in the global market for
mobile devices and applications. 15 months after Apple first sued Samsung, the two companies were
both defendant and plaintiff in more than 50 lawsuits around the globe. The claimed damaged between
the corporations ran into the billions of dollars. In the end, Samsung won rulings in its favor in South
Korea, Japan and the UK. Apple won a ruling in its favor in the U.S. In this review, only the first
original lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California will be
addressed. The hostile standoff between the two corporate giants Apple and Samsung can be seen as a
shapeshifting space for intellectual property laws. This is because of the different interpretations of IP
law this case has evoked from the courts. The Lawsuit happened after the two corporations had several
meetings about intellectual property infringement issues that led nowhere. Over the course of several
months, Apple CEO Tim Cook had met with Samsung s top executives to try and reach a settlement.

Parathyroid Carcinoma Research Paper
Abstract
Parathyroid carcinoma is a rare form of endocrine malignancy accounting for only a small minority of
cancer cases. Due to the rarity of this cancer, there are no generalized guidelines for its management;
however, surgery remains to be the mainstay therapy. The purpose of this article is to review and
summarize the available literature on parathyroid carcinoma, while discussing proposed staging
systems and the role of available adjuvant therapies.

Introduction
Parathyroid carcinoma is a rare endocrine malignancy, accounting for an estimated 0.005% of all
cancers [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] and [6]. This entity was first described by the Swiss surgeon Fritz De

Nevertheless, it should be assumed that the postoperative follow up for patients with parathyroid
carcinomas should be more frequent than for those with adenomas. Recurrence is generally indicated
by elevated calcium and PTH levels [14] and [76]. After laboratory findings indicate recurrence, a
thorough imaging work up should be performed with the intention of localizing the site of recurrence.
These imaging modalities include ultrasound, whole body sestamibi scan, whole body CT, MRI or
PET scan and bone scan. In case of inconclusive results from the above mentioned studies, more
invasive techniques may be utilized including arteriography or selective venous sampling with
measurement of PTH [2], [5], [7] and [60]. Furthermore, unlike in the primary diagnosis where FNA
is avoided, the use of FNA to diagnose recurrence of parathyroid carcinoma is utilized, and can help
differentiate between recurrent malignancy and scar tissue [21]. Once recurrent disease has been
localized, the best possible treatment is repeated surgical resection, due to lack of other effective
treatments. Re explorations may be very difficult due to dense scar tissue and lack of clear anatomical
planes

A Native View On The Indigenous Perspective Analysis
For centuries, humans have successfully dominated the animal kingdom. They have risen above their
own physical characteristics and demolished evolutional boundaries. Like a bird soars and a fish
swims, humans have surpassed their somatic disadvantages and created synthetic versions of these
methods of travel. Humans have been so successful in conquering the mobility and patterns of other
animal species that it has led to the societal succession of humans from the animal kingdom. Although
evolutionally, Homo sapiens share common ancestors with other animals, it is a common belief that
humans are in a class of their own, separated from their primitive counterparts. This is reinforced in
the pattern of colonization in human societies and their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jason Wyckoff writes in Toward Justice for Animals , that Until fairly recently, philosophers and
animal advocates have generally treated the question of what we owe to non human animals as an
ethical question, with a primary focus on the treatment of particular animals, rather than as a social or
political question, with a focus on the use, exploitation, commodification, or systematic extermination
of animals. (Wyckoff 539). In other words, humans have only looked into the morality of animal
cruelty on a small scale. Is it right or wrong? If talking about a person killing an animal for no reason,
the answer would be yes. But what about the killing of an animal for a materialistic reason, such as the
skinning of animals for coats, shoes, or fashion accessories? Because this is done on such a large
scale, and has been for a long time, the line between right and wrong has been blurred. Today s society
condemns the illegal hunting of a lion, but keeps quiet on the legal killing of other animals to fulfill
their avaricious needs. This is when the morality of the subject becomes

Activated Charcoal Case Summary
1. Signs of opiate toxidrome that this patient is exhibiting includes: hypothermia, bradycardia,
hypotension, bradypnea, hypoxia, miosis, and unresponsiveness.
2. Narcan, also known as naloxone hydrochloride, is a pure competitive opioid antagonist used in the
treatment of severe opioid toxicity. Naloxone s mechanism of action is to bind to all opioid receptors
including mu, kappa, and delta, and prevent the actions of opioid agonists resulting in reversal of life
threatening respiratory depression commonly caused by opioid overdose. This antagonist is most
potent at the mu receptor. Routes of administration include: intravenous, intramuscular, intranasal,
subcutaneous, endotracheal, inhalation, and intralingual.

Activated charcoal is the gastrointestinal decontamination technique that should be used in this patient
to help adsorb to any NSAID that hasn t been absorbed since a large amount was consumed.
2. Diagnostic tests that are indicated with NSAID ingestion include: chemistry panel which will
evaluate any kidney dysfunction and to determine the anion gap to calculate for any acidosis, hepatic
function tests to determine degree of liver inflammation, and a serum acetaminophen level. An EKG
should also be placed on the patient to evaluate for any co ingestants that may have affected the
cardiovascular system.
3. At this time the patient does not require intubation or mechanical ventilation since his respiratory
rate appears to be in the normal range of 12 25 breaths per minute and his oxygen saturation of 95% is
within the normal range of 95 100%.
4. Anion Gap = Na (Cl + HCO3) Anion Gap: 138 (103+16): 19 mEq/L. The anion gap reference range
is 8 16 mEq/L and is elevated in this patient. The increased anion gap indicates an increased amount of
unmeasured ions are present in the blood. This patient most likely has a wide anion gap acidosis, since
there is decreased bicarbonate on the chemistry panel, but the clinician would have to confirm by
ordering an arterial blood

Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis Essay
Slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) and Legg Calve Perthes (LCP) disease are developmental
conditions (1, 2) with SCFE being described as a common source of pain and disability, and the most
common cause of degenerative hip disease in middle aged patients (3, 4). Proximal femoral
osteotomies following SCFE aim to restore more normal anatomy, improve function and reduce the
morbidity and complications of pain, reduced range of movement, early arthritis and leg length
discrepancy (3). Up to 50% of involved hips do well with no intervention but these hips are always at
risk of developing secondary arthritis and similarly adult hip joints of patients with SCFE are more

hips) following hip resurfacing for end stage arthritis following SCFE and LCP.
Patients and methods
In 1997 the Oswestry Outcome centre was setup to serve as an independent international register for
the collection, analysis and reporting of outcomes following hip resurfacing arthroplasty. Between
1997 and 2002, 4535 patients were recruited by 139 surgeons from different centres in 38 countries.
We selected 70 patients (73 hips) which included 58 patients (59 hips) with SCFE and 12 patients (14
hips) with LCP. These patients were age and gender matched to a group of 73 patients with primary
osteoarthritis whose outcomes were unknown to us. The selected patients in both groups were
operated by 39 surgeons from 4 countries. The primary osteoarthritis group was labeled as group OA
and secondary arthritis group was labeled as group LS. All patients were entered in this study after
informed consent by the operating surgeon who provided the demographic and clinical details of each
patient. These details were stored on a secure electronic database in the outcome centre and patients
were followed annually in context of function, complications, revision and

Theme Of The Movie And To Kill A Mockingbird
Often times, book lovers are brought down by the awful films inspired by novels they enjoy. When
compared to their book, the movies frequently do not portray the right concepts and details the author
had intended. Therefore, most viewers are disappointed with the film adaptation. To Kill a
Mockingbird is no exception for some people, however, I subjectively feel that the novel written by
Harper Lee and the film directed by Robert Mulligan compliment each other. The portrayed elements
of the town of Maycomb, Tom Robinson s character, and the scene of the trail resemble relatively
close between the novel and film of To Kill a Mockingbird. The setting of the story, a small southern
town known as Maycomb, is perceived differently by various people upon reading the text. While I
read the novel, the town of Maycomb came to life in my mind from my own perception of details. The
town resembled a downtown square with never ending storefronts that were adjacent to one another.
Parking spots lined the sidewalk, causing drivers to parallel park against the curb. Small grassy fields
across the streets had trees and benches for passing leisure time. In the text, Harper Lee described
Maycomb through the perspective of the children the night they followed Atticus. She wrote, The
south side of the square was deserted. Giant monkey puzzle bushes bristled on each corner, and
between them an iron hitching rail glistened under the street lights. A light shone in the county toilet,

Cyber Terrorism And Cyber Attacks
Introduction
It is the era of cyber technology and there is lots of cyber attacks are happening every day, on many
organizations, private sectors, government sectors, these attacks are done by the cyber attackers or as

all the countries are suffering to develop the country economical wise and other related to confidential

It is Important because organisations can find out the loopholes in the system and fix them from
attacks. Users privacy and data security is biggest thing to protect now days. If a small loophole left in
the system and hackers can hack the system because of the loophole and get access to the confidential
information. And hackers can get detail of of person from the social media websites and use it for
some illegal reason.
And before doing any business with third party the organisations always look for the PCI compliance
certifications. In the pen testing the important things needs to be tested are software, network and
hardware.
Types of the penetration testing.
1.social engineering: the main issue which cause the security vulnerability are human errors or as
called human mistakes. In case to avoid the social pen testing all the staff should follow all the
security standards and policies. Example any confidential information should not be shared over the
social media sites or over the phone conversation.
2. Application security testing: this is process in which we can use some software to find out if there
are loopholes to the system.
3. Physical penetration test: to protect sensitive and confidential data strong security measures are
applied. This is mainly used in the government bodies. All access points and physical network devices
are tested for possibilities of any security breach.
Techniques for penetration testing.:

Alexander The Great And Greek Culture Of Alexander The Great
Through his admiration of Greek culture, Alexander The Great was able to spread the Hellenistic ways
of life such as art, education, government, customs, ceremony, and purpose. Those cultural factors fall
under the category of Classical Greek ideals which are the basis of the influential Hellenistic period
promoted and envied by Alexander of Macedon. Through learning the history of his extensive military
campaigns across many lands, it is fair to state that Alexander of Macedon and his empire represent
the essence of Greek culture as well as a transformation of it in in a way he saw as more modern. We
even see this in some of the cities he named after himself. Alexander of Macedon left a legacy in not
only the Hellenistic kingdoms, but across the globe though Asia as well. What is interesting is that the
Macedonian Empire was an idea of its own, but we still see Alexander follow many Hellenistic views
as he values some beliefs in which are Greek. He admired the Greek culture and brought it to the
many places he conquered. After his death, the Macedonian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This being the reason why he was so knowledgeable of Greek culture and made it a part of life in
every land he conquered during his reign. The Greeks disfavored Macedonia as told by Diodorus of
Sicily, but that has not much to do with the fact that Alexander envied the Greek culture. Even though
his vast empire fell apart after his death, his name still lives on as one of, and if not, the greatest

Hamlet And Ophelia In Shakespeare s Hamlet
In the Shakespeare play hamlet, Hamlet tries to hide a lot of emotions. In the play hamlet and ophelia
are said to be in love or that Ophelia loves hamlet. Although people believe they are in love, Hamlet
does not really act like he does love her. In the play, Hamlet has an unknown relationship with ophelia
that could be fake; But there could be some reasoning behind the relationship and why he would be
using her. Throughout the play Hamlet does not treat Ophelia well and sometimes even insults her. He
had said many times Get thee to a nunnery (III.I). He would often say this throughout this
conversation as another way to make her feel bad. That he was trying to hurt but still look as if he
loved her to others. Also later when Ophelia talks about what happened she said He took me by the
wrist and held me hard (II.I). That in the conversation between hamlet and Ophelia when Hamlet was
not verbally hurting her, he would sometimes get physical. Hamlet would often use this as a way to
show how insane he was getting. Also when Ophelia was talking to Polonius she said And thrice his
head thus waving up and down (II.I). This is another example of when Hamlet do things to make
himself seem more insane. Also he is using Ophelia again as a way to spread about himself that he
wants. So Hamlet would verbally and sometimes physically hurt her to get her to do what he wants.
Hamlet had felt that he would have a better connection to the people around him if he was with
Ophelia.

Kosovo Police Brutality
The fact is that, for both Albanian and Serb nationalism, Kosovo serves as a myth, a historical
narration, and a national symbol of special religious, cultural and political importance (Baliqi, 2015:
295). Nevertheless, the conflict started to warm up when Milosevic began to infringe upon the
fundamental rights of the ethnic Albanians and then later limit their access to institutions. The Special
Rapporteurs of the Commission on Human Rights of the former Yugoslavia until 1995, among many
others, found these rights to have been violated:
1. Police brutality against ethnic Albanians, such as arbitrary searches, seizures and arrests, forced
evictions, torture and ill treatments of detainees;
2. Discriminatory and arbitrary dismissals of ethnic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Subsequently, in late 1997, the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), made its appearance and conducted
several hit and run insurgencies. This gave the green light to Serbia now to issue forces in Kosovo and
maintain the country inside its borders. The internal situation entirely escalated when forces in search
of KLA men went to the KLA leader s house, Adem Jashari, and massacred 58 people among them
women and children (Independent International Commission on Kosovo, 2000; 3). By the end of the
war, forces had destroyed villages, expelled 800,000 ethnic Albanians and killed over 4,000 people
(HRW, 2001: 4 7). Here as well, the international community started to see what could be negotiated
with Milosevic. The international powers composed of the United States, the United Kingdom,
France, Italy, Germany, and Russia indeed were facing legal and moral dilemmas. Meanwhile the talks

Comparing Horace s Satire In On Discontent And Modern Times
Horace was an ancient Roman satirist and author of many satires including On Discontent located in
Book I Satire I, which speaks to many issues of his time through rough criticism masked under dark
humor that is followed with moral alternatives. Charlie Chaplain s work in Modern Times is a satirical
piece where Chaplain shows his discontent on new technology that s displacing him and fellow actors
out of work. The two satirical works contrast each other in their objectives but share the idea of the
poor man in both works.
Horace finds great trouble with people who seem to never be pleased with what they have and his
satire speaks out to this discontent. People that complain and always feel as if others have it better are

More money, gold and silver and more harvest surplus is what drives the lives of such members and
no matter how much they acquire they still feel inadequate and seeking for addition. Horace is directly

Chaplin s discontent of the new technology that s changing the industry. Anti technology ideals are

Anglo Saxon Warrior Analysis
The Expectations of an Anglo Saxon Warrior
Paul Watson stated, I do what I do because it is the right thing to do. I am a warrior, and it is the way
of the warrior to fight superior odds . In this quote, Paul Watson is describing the duty of a warrior.
People have many assumptions as to what warrior s expectations were back in the Anglo Saxon Era.
Warriors did whatever it took to finish their duty. In the poems, The Seafarer, The Wanderer, and
Beowulf, warriors were big parts of the stories. Learning about what their expectations included was
very helpful in determining the kind of people they were. Warriors in the Anglo Saxon Era were very
loyal and brave to their kings and or higher powers. Warriors were also known for traveling great
distances in certain circumstances. In all three poems, the expectations for warriors remained the
same.
Bravery can be shown throughout all three stories. Bravery can be described as courageous behavior
or character. Epic heros were not the only people known for their bravery. Warriors showed bravery
just as equally. In The Seafarer, it states, But there isn t a man on earth so proud/ So born with
greatness, so bold with his youth/ Grown so brave, or so graced by God ( The Seafarer 39 41). In The
Wanderer, it states, Though woefully toiling on wintry seas/ With churning oar in the icy wave/
Homeless and helpless he fled from fate ( The Wanderer 3 5). In this quote from The Wanderer , the
man has no motivation but he is brave

Habits of the Mind
Habits of Mind The habits of mind might better be termed the habits of a perfected mind since most
have not acquired all of these habits. The two selected for this paper are persistence and precision.
Both are difficult to embed because they require disciple and mental toughness. This paper discusses
the connection between the two and how they can be defeated if a student is distracted from them.
Persistence and precision are habits of mind that require many of the same skills to acquire.
Persistence is defined as sticking to a task until it is completed (Costa Kallick, 2008). It is the ability
to fail and to continue pressing towards a goal despite continuous rejection of the effort. People who
have this trait are not afraid of the outcome of a single endeavor, but press on until they are successful.
Having precision of language and thought is striving to communicate accurately in both written and
oral form, taking care to use precise language; defining terms; and using correct names, labels and
analogies (Costa Kallick, 2008). This ability is fostered by a mind that wants to ensure that it is
communicating thoughts clearly so that they are not misunderstood. It is also a skill that takes a great
deal of determination and discipline to perfect. These two skills can be innate, in a very few people,
but by the majority they are acquired (Watts, 2012). Thinking clearly is the first step to
communicating clearly, and this leads to the ability to accomplish tasks. A

Drug Enforcement Administration ( Dea )

explain the history of each agency, where these agencies have their jurisdiction, the types of crimes
they investigate and describe the similarities and differences between the Oro Valley Police

History

How Gaming Saved My Future
Hello, My name is Marcus Paige. This is my essay on how gaming saved my future. I discovered
gaming through watching television. One show in particular that caught my attention, was called Nick
s Video Arcade . I would really get into that show because during that time I did not own my a console
of my own. So, this was the best I could do at the time. I would also pick up gaming magazines from
time to time. I could see what was new in the gaming scene and read about future consoles coming
out. I also became a huge fan of the readers section of these magazines, since you could send in
questions and have them answered. Another thing that got me into gaming was a family friend. I can
remember as a child I would always go along with my mother to visit one of her good friends. While I
was there, her son and I would always end up playing games the whole time I was visiting. By getting
into gaming, I feel that it has helped me out in many different ways. For example, back in high school
I wasn t the smartest student. I didn t apply myself much . You could say I was stuck inside a spiral
going down wards. I would notice that things weren t going so well, but I really didn t bother to try or
turn myself around . During my downward spiral, I would find myself constantly making bad
decisions. I would go out and party when I knew I should be at home studying,or doing my homework
assignments. I was also hanging out with people who had no care about my academic

A Guilty Conscience Guilt is to the spirit, what pain is to the body Elder David A. Bednar. What Elder

consequences and bad judgement. In And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, Vera shows
readers the effects of a guilty conscience can make a person act and do things they never would do.
Vera learns that a guilty conscience can lead to bad things first when she can not stop thing about

out of her mind. Vera thinks to herself, Hour after hour with no one to speak to with nothing to do but

shows that Vera could not stop thinking of Hugo and letting Cyril drown. She is so full of guilt that
she cannot stop thinking about them. Vera shows the effects of a guilty conscience in other ways. ...

Patricia Piccinini The Comforter Analysis
Patricia Piccinini is known for creating extraordinary pieces of work, her personal interest in science
has developed into a broader interest in capturing the aspects of relationships between humans and the
possible future genetic animal mutations in her art. Her sculptures are primarily constructed from
silicone and fiberglass, inviting us into a world where the advances of biotechnology along with
digital technologies are challenging the boundaries of humanity. She exhibits a personal perspective
into some of the most difficult ethical issues of our time (QAGOMA, 2018) as the audience is

Differences Between Dauntless Book And Book
It is always quite exciting when a novel is adapted to be shown as a movie. I m usually in the habit of
comparing and analyzing if the movie version was faithful to the book. Many times the movie director
and screenwriters have to decide whether to include certain scenes or not. This aspect is controlled by
the rating they want the movie to end up with, depending on their target audience. I found a number of
differences between Roth s novel and the movie. In my opinion the general imagery of the movie
matched the one of the book. For example, I imagined the choosing ceremony to look like just like it
did in the movie. Also, Tris house, school, neighborhood, the Erudite headquarters and the dauntless
train matched the vision in my head. One thing that didn t match in my opinion was the Dauntless
headquarters. I imagined the chasm to be more dramatic and the fighting ring and dormitories were
portrayed differently than I had imagined. Some of the events in the movie were also different than in
the novel. In the novel Peter stabs Edward in the eye with a butter knife, but in the movie this scene
does not appear at all. In the novel, one of the new dauntless initiates falls to her death on the first day
train jump, in the movie this does not happen. Visiting day at Dauntless headquarters is a scene ...

Universal Background Checks
Many innocent lives each year are taken away because most states do not have laws particularly
dealing with private dealers administering background checks. Background checks are needed to make
sure that clients who are purchasing firearms will not use the gun to endanger themselves or others.
However, even in the states where background checks are administered the laws still consist of many
loopholes; some of these include, not checking for mental illnesses that the client might have , not
following up on the client after they purchased the gun, and how private sellers and many states are
not administrating strict and complete background checks., Researchers confirm that universal

Nature And Nature In Antonio Vivaldi s La Primavera
My first work is La Primavera written by the Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi in 1723. La Primavera
is one of four violin concertos, each capturing moods and illustrating stories related to a specific time
of year. Each section within this movement illustrate the most beautiful scenes of the spring season,
including birds, babbling brooks, and a thunderstorm. (Soomo). My second work is an oil on canvas
painting, titled The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone by Thomas Moran. The Grand Canyon of the
Yellowstone was painted in 1872 and captures the unique geological formations and diverse and
extravagant colors of the Midwestern United States landscape. The common theme shared by both of
the chosen pieces of work is nature. Antonio Vivaldi embraces the spring season and captures the
moods and illustrates stories specific to that time of year. Moran captured the true beauty of a
Midwestern landscape of the United States. Although one work is musical piece and the other is a
landscape painting, both capture the beauty of nature and the surrounding elements.
2. Audience Impact
The theme of nature should impact any member of my audience. Although each artifact contains its
own unique message, both pieces of art possess an underlying message of connecting with nature. For
the audience, a deep connection with nature is offered through the artifacts as they are reminded of the
inherent beauty that exists in the natural world. I feel the chosen topic of the presentation would be

Weird Al, is one artist that has been active in the music industry since the mid 1970 s and has been
able to keep up with the times way before the dawn of social media, online media, and vlogging. For
his most recent album, Weird Al designed a creative advertising strategy for the digital age with his

Weird Al risks the possibility that the younger audiences that he typically reaches may not be as
interested in his videos as he ages and portrays what reminds them of their grandfathers.
Unfortunately for Weird Al, he is not getting any younger and the majority of those who go online to
watch videos and engage in social media are millennials. 74 percent of 14 18 year olds and 68 percent
of 19 24 year olds in the U.S. use YouTube today (Bennett, 2014) a significant portion of the
millennial group uses this platform that Weird Al uses to show his videos and new song releases.
Weird Al is going to have to find new trendy ways to keep the younger audience interested in his
content and music which is going to be discussed next. Many opportunities exist for Weird Al with the
new focus on releasing singles and communicating videos, music, and content through social media.
He can build awareness for his brand and generate a viral trend on a global scale something he would
have had challenges with when dealing with a record label that has many laws and requirements for
countries outside of the United States. Outside of the United States, countries such as The United
Kingdom and India are becoming increasingly large YouTube markets (Ali, 2014). The opportunity to
reach a much wider audience on a global scale is beneficial to his future especially through a platform

How Milk Are A Dairy Product That Is Formed By Coagulation
Milk curds are a dairy product that is formed by coagulation, also known as clotting. Curds can be
formed when rennet or any acidic liquid is added to milk. Lemon juice and vinegar are two common
acidic liquids that provide benefits when creating the formation of milk curds. Increased acids, such as
vinegar or lemon juice, force proteins contained in milk to group together and create solid masses,
which are identified as curds. Any remaining liquid after this process is whey protein. Cheese curds
contain proteins and fat from milk. They are produced by a formation called coagulation of casein.
Casein is unique in the way that it is not coagulated by heat. Milk becomes sour when lactic acid

The casein molecules can be bothered and separated from the whey by an addition of acid, which
disturbs the casein micelle structure. Emma Christensen, a graduate of the Cambridge School for
Culinary Arts said, When milk becomes too acidic, like when we add lemon juice or when it goes
sour, the negative charge on the casein groupings becomes neutralized. Now instead of pushing each
other apart, the casein starts to clump together. Changed combinations of the controlled amount of
acid added to milk and enzymatic hydrolysis of casein are the foundations of different types of cheese
made in industries. Enzymatic hydrolysis is the process where enzymes ease the bonding in molecules
with the addition of the elements found in water. This process assists in digestion and the formation of
cheese. Lemon juice is an enzyme that is used to speed up the process of coagulation. Addition of acid
to milk assists the separation of curds from whey and controls the growth of undesirable bacteria in
cheese. An example of adding lemon juice to heated milk and causing the milk to form curds is Paneer
cheese. Milk contains 86% water, fats, carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and vitamins. Casein and
whey, the main proteins, account for approximately 3.5% of components found in cow s milk. The
controlled process of removing water from cow s milk is known as cheese making. Any liquid

Essay about Beowulf as a Messianic Narrative
Beowulf as a messianic narrative has been a subject of great controversy. Given the time period,
Christianity was not completely established, and it was entwined with cultural paganism, as seen
woven throughout the text. The definition of a messianic narrative (containing the ultimate messianic
figure) is found in Isaiah 53, a prophecy spoken by God through the Hebrew prophet Isaiah. This is
the standard to which Beowulf must be compared to determination the nature of the poem. Many
scholars such as Harold Bloom (quoting E. Talbot Donaldson), Roberta Frank, Rich Lawson, Seamus
Heaney, and J. R. R. Tolkien (quoting R. W. Chambers) have critically viewed Beowulf to determine
the nature of the epic, resulting in a diverse range of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bloom and Donaldson argue that whilst Christian elements are present, heroic paganism is more
prevalent in Beowulf. This is supported by the death of Beowulf, reading, of all the world kings, [he
was] keenest for fame, summarising Beowulf, and suggesting his life only amounted to self
glorification.
In assessing the Christianity of Beowulf, Frank suggests that, like King Alfred did of Remiguis s
commentaries, the author of Beowulf used pagan analogies for Christian concepts. Lawson explores
this in the role fate has throughout the poem. The Geat prince placed all his trust in...his Maker s
favour, Then Beowulf speaks, The Father...shall apportion the honours...to whichever side shall seem
to Him fit, . The poet wrote, Fate had not assigned him the glory of battle, . The composer s
personification of Fate portrays the place it has taken God s place. Lawson writes of this, The pagan
concept of fate...is tied to God, suggesting that Beowulf is resigned to fate, but the author is using this
to illustrate the nature of God. Frank also states, What matters is how the rulers...served God s
purpose, , also calling Beowulf a, Pagan prince of peace, . While Beowulf demonstrates a pagan trust
in fate, Lawson and Frank believe it was the author using paganism to convey the messianic narrative,
and that Beowulf was instrumental in doing so.
In analysing Beowulf, Lawson concluded it was a messianic narrative including a messianic figure,

Masculinity of the Romantic American Male in Cooper s Last of the Mohicans and Irving s Legend of

James Fenimore Cooper s Last of the Mohicans and Washington Irving s Legend of Sleepy Hollow are
valuable examples of literary heavyweights of the Romantic era, but in addition, can also be used to
chart sociological changes within the male gender during pre Romantic and Romantic years.
But because neither Cooper nor Irving s works should be distanced from their cultural backdrops
when considering the socially reflective nature of their work, exploring basic historical conditions
surrounding the changing concepts of masculinity can serve as a useful move.

According to Rotundo, the ideal man was one who ruled as head of his household, believed in the
crucial concept of duty, and upheld stern Puritan religious of morality and social behavior (as the

coincidentally parallel the English patriarchal gentleman of the seventeenth century.
Social and economic changes around 1820 to 1860 stimulated the Commercial Period, which
produced two distinct spheres of influence: the business world of men and the private domestic world
of women (Grace 10). Instead of the home being a means of production, industry s influence was
being felt for the first time, and with its arrival, men became connected to the public realm more
clearly, and conversely, women to the private realm (10).
But some of the changes also stemmed from politics of the day. At the time of the Revolutionary War,
political upheaval pitched American sons against American fathers, and England s social influence
over her angered citizens began to wane (Manhood 18). Michael Kimmel, author of Manhood in

200 people from Hinkley to explain the benefits of PG amp;E using chromium 3 at their plant.
Chromium 3 is similar to hexavalent chromium (or chromium 6), however the deception is clear when
the film goes on to show that PG amp;E was not actually using chromium 3 at their plant, and was
actually using the harmful chromium 6 instead. Unfortunately, this issue was not resolved in the film

Kliener states that these cultures and people inhabited the islands for tens of thousands of years (p.
1104). Expansive exploration and migration brought explorers to these islands through the 19th
century, the likes of which caused various types of turmoil for the local people. While colonization
and exploration caused riffs for the locals, it also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boundless describes the religious Mana based carving as traditionally created by ritual specialists
according to strict rules, which, if broken, would result in the deaths of the carver and the chief
(2017). According to tradition, these figures were displayed inside a Bai as a symbol of fertility,
protection from evil and spiritual rebirth (Kleiner, p. 1112; Newton, 2011). Once the villages of the
Oceania were fraught with explorers these Dilukai were perceived as a representation of a woman s
immorality (Boundless, 2017). Previous explorations of Oceania appear as if they were conducted
with blinders on. Much of the culture as it relates to women was speculative and incomplete, as
artifacts collected previously were primarily man made and spoke to a more violent side of the culture
(Kleiner, p. 1112). As exploration persists, more about the women of Oceania and their role in
religion, art and society is

The Goal Of The Journal
1. The goal of the journal is to explain several concepts, many being misunderstandings, of how dry
ice is formed, and to use experiments to explain the hypotheses. The author provides explanations to
scientific reactions that make fog result from mixing together dry ice and water. Kuntzleman, the
author of A Molecular Explanation of How Fog is Produced When Dry Ice Is Placed in Water , also
explains why various ideas about dry ice are false. He demonstrates his ideas using experiments he
says can be performed using primarily cheap, and easy to find material.
The first experiment constructed is set up to effectively measure the density of fog. Because the
experiments all deal with dry ice, it is vital to be able to measure the density of the fog resulting from
a dry ice and liquid combination. Using a 500 mL flask with a round bottom and two openings is
necessary. Approximately 200 mL of liquid is put into the flask. A piece of approximately 10 grams of
dry ice is then placed into one opening on the flask. The other opening is covered by a plastic cuvette.
Through the cuvette the fog s density can be measured using an LED light and sensor. Fog density is
then recorded using the intensity of the light with the formula for the density of the fog, log(I/I0).
The next performed experiment deals with where the fog originates. The atmospheric water is not the
basis of DIWF (Dry Ice Water Fog). The source of this fog comes from bulk water. To prove this using

Research Paper On Dodo Bird
The Mysterious Dodo
Picture yourself running through the woods as quickly as your legs can move you, with a heap of
emotions running through your brain. You feel betrayed, offended, helpless, terrified. You had never
been an aggressive animal. You were friendly, you didn t eat animals, and it s not like you had the
abilities to overpower anything if you did eat them. This may aid your imagination of what the dodo
bird went through while being hunted down by the Portuguese. The dodo bird may seem like a tedious
animal; However, the bird, it s misconception, and how it became extinct are intriguing in a way that
you may find odd.
The dodo bird is not an extremely famous bird, like the beautiful parrot, or the perfectly pink
flamingo. Many people aren t educated on what the bird was genuinely like, or even what the bird is.
The dodo is a flightless bird from an island in the Indian Ocean called Mauritius. It is part of the
Raphidae family(Dodo 1), which consists of pigeons and doves. The dodo clings to the forest in
Mauritius and has been extinct since the 17th century(Extinct Bird 1), eating only nuts, fruits, or seeds
it found on the ground(Viral Stats). The dodo bird has a comical appearance, that one could only
imagine. It s unique visuals were small useless wings, thick yellow legs, and a tuft of feathers high on
its rear end (Dodo 2). These odd characteristics made it easy for people to deride the dodo bird. In
terms of size, the dodo was larger than a turkey, it

  • 2. The Truth Of The Bible Question 9 I believe the time isn t relevant as far as wear I will spend eternity, four there s two ways of that can happen. First of all, nobody is immune to die at any point in time for went is your time to go you have no control over it. Second of all, Jesus can come anytime. Therefore, if either of these events happens, eternity awaits. Are used to think that the younger you are the least you need to worry about these two events happening. On the contrary, the acknowledgment that Jesus is the only way and the one hole redeemed us is now, not later, not when you feel like it, the time is now. Question 10 I believe that the main source of truth is the Bible. On the other hand, God is an infinite God, and if he chooses any other means for you to find truth, you will find it, weather if it is through dreams or through other Scriptures. However, God can choose to reveal himself outside of Christianity. I have heard that throughout the Muslim faith several have come to know Jesus through their own scripture, the Quran. In addition, others have begun to believe in Jesus through dreams. Perhaps, God can choose any means to reveal himself. I do not know why there are so many different religions; perhaps, this is what makes us different from each other. Not everybody thinks the same way. I also believe that there is an accuser who hates humankind and doesn t want humanity to see clear, that the more confused we are the better it is. Epistemology is the hypothesis of ... • 3. Social Changes During The Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution caused many changes. The three main changes that are quite noticeable are technological, social, and economic changes. Great examples of theses changes can be found within a variety of sources, but mainly coming from my history textbook. Massive technological changes in machines, energy use, and transportation (technological). It resulted in rapid urbanization, and it created different social classes (social). This led to the development of Laissez Faire capitalism, socialism, utilitarianism, socialism, and communism (economic). To start, technological changes were one of the main changes during the Industrial Revolution. It all started with the substitution of mechanical devices for human skills, then everything changed. Machinery was applied first in coal mining and textiles. The new machines, methods, and techniques quickly spread into other industrial areas. For example, the use of steam engines in transportation led to the railroad system, vastly increasing the speed, reliability, and amount of goods moved over long distances, converting the nation into one unified market. This led to a plethora of other technical changes, with iron, steel, bridge building, organization, and communication. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the Industrial Revolution, the social structure of society definitely changed. Before the Revolution, many people lived in small villages, either doing work with agriculture, or crafting. Everything was mainly done by hand, but with industrialization, came a jurassic change. The new enclosure laws left farmers jobless, and machines made small hand weavers redundant. As a result, many people were forced to work in factories. This caused many families to move closer to their jobs, but more importantly, many become poor. A third treatment, biological therapy, uses the immune system to destroy the cancer cells. The survival rate for breast cancer depends on how early the cancer is caught. This lawsuit was the first of a series of ongoing lawsuits between the two. Apple s multinational lawsuits concerning mainly technology patents became known as the mobile device patent war; extensive litigation in fierce competition in the global market for mobile devices and applications. 15 months after Apple first sued Samsung, the two companies were both defendant and plaintiff in more than 50 lawsuits around the globe. The claimed damaged between the corporations ran into the billions of dollars. In the end, Samsung won rulings in its favor in South Korea, Japan and the UK. Apple won a ruling in its favor in the U.S. In this review, only the first original lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California will be addressed. The hostile standoff between the two corporate giants Apple and Samsung can be seen as a shapeshifting space for intellectual property laws. This is because of the different interpretations of IP law this case has evoked from the courts. These imaging modalities include ultrasound, whole body sestamibi scan, whole body CT, MRI or PET scan and bone scan. In case of inconclusive results from the above mentioned studies, more invasive techniques may be utilized including arteriography or selective venous sampling with measurement of PTH [2], [5], [7] and [60]. Humans have been so successful in conquering the mobility and patterns of other animal species that it has led to the societal succession of humans from the animal kingdom. (Wyckoff 539). In other words, humans have only looked into the morality of animal cruelty on a small scale. Is it right or wrong? If talking about a person killing an animal for no reason, the answer would be yes. But what about the killing of an animal for a materialistic reason, such as the skinning of animals for coats, shoes, or fashion accessories? Because this is done on such a large scale, and has been for a long time, the line between right and wrong has been blurred. When compared to their book, the movies frequently do not portray the right concepts and details the author had intended. Therefore, most viewers are disappointed with the film adaptation. To Kill a Mockingbird is no exception for some people, however, I subjectively feel that the novel written by Harper Lee and the film directed by Robert Mulligan compliment each other. The portrayed elements of the town of Maycomb, Tom Robinson s character, and the scene of the trail resemble relatively close between the novel and film of To Kill a Mockingbird. The setting of the story, a small southern town known as Maycomb, is perceived differently by various people upon reading the text. While I read the novel, the town of Maycomb came to life in my mind from my own perception of details. The town resembled a downtown square with never ending storefronts that were adjacent to one another. Parking spots lined the sidewalk, causing drivers to parallel park against the curb. Small grassy fields across the streets had trees and benches for passing leisure time. In the text, Harper Lee described Maycomb through the perspective of the children the night they followed Atticus. She wrote, The south side of the square was deserted. I am a warrior, and it is the way of the warrior to fight superior odds . In this quote, Paul Watson is describing the duty of a warrior. People have many assumptions as to what warrior s expectations were back in the Anglo Saxon Era. Warriors did whatever it took to finish their duty. In the poems, The Seafarer, The Wanderer, and Beowulf, warriors were big parts of the stories. Learning about what their expectations included was very helpful in determining the kind of people they were. Warriors in the Anglo Saxon Era were very loyal and brave to their kings and or higher powers. Warriors were also known for traveling great distances in certain circumstances. In all three poems, the expectations for warriors remained the same. Bravery can be shown throughout all three stories. Bravery can be described as courageous behavior or character. Epic heros were not the only people known for their bravery. Warriors showed bravery just as equally. In The Seafarer, it states, But there isn t a man on earth so proud/ So born with greatness, so bold with his youth/ Grown so brave, or so graced by God ( The Seafarer 39 41). The two selected for this paper are persistence and precision. Both are difficult to embed because they require disciple and mental toughness. This paper discusses the connection between the two and how they can be defeated if a student is distracted from them. Persistence and precision are habits of mind that require many of the same skills to acquire. Persistence is defined as sticking to a task until it is completed (Costa Kallick, 2008). It is the ability to fail and to continue pressing towards a goal despite continuous rejection of the effort. People who have this trait are not afraid of the outcome of a single endeavor, but press on until they are successful. Having precision of language and thought is striving to communicate accurately in both written and oral form, taking care to use precise language; defining terms; and using correct names, labels and analogies (Costa Kallick, 2008). This ability is fostered by a mind that wants to ensure that it is communicating thoughts clearly so that they are not misunderstood. It is also a skill that takes a great deal of determination and discipline to perfect. These two skills can be innate, in a very few people, but by the majority they are acquired (Watts, 2012). • 25. Differences Between Dauntless Book And Book It is always quite exciting when a novel is adapted to be shown as a movie. I m usually in the habit of comparing and analyzing if the movie version was faithful to the book. Many times the movie director and screenwriters have to decide whether to include certain scenes or not. This aspect is controlled by the rating they want the movie to end up with, depending on their target audience. I found a number of differences between Roth s novel and the movie. In my opinion the general imagery of the movie matched the one of the book. For example, I imagined the choosing ceremony to look like just like it did in the movie. Also, Tris house, school, neighborhood, the Erudite headquarters and the dauntless train matched the vision in my head. One thing that didn t match in my opinion was the Dauntless headquarters. I imagined the chasm to be more dramatic and the fighting ring and dormitories were portrayed differently than I had imagined. Some of the events in the movie were also different than in the novel. In the novel Peter stabs Edward in the eye with a butter knife, but in the movie this scene does not appear at all. In the novel, one of the new dauntless initiates falls to her death on the first day train jump, in the movie this does not happen. Visiting day at Dauntless headquarters is a scene ... My second work is an oil on canvas painting, titled The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone by Thomas Moran. The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone was painted in 1872 and captures the unique geological formations and diverse and extravagant colors of the Midwestern United States landscape. The common theme shared by both of the chosen pieces of work is nature. Antonio Vivaldi embraces the spring season and captures the moods and illustrates stories specific to that time of year. Moran captured the true beauty of a Midwestern landscape of the United States. Although one work is musical piece and the other is a landscape painting, both capture the beauty of nature and the surrounding elements. 2. • 29. How Milk Are A Dairy Product That Is Formed By Coagulation Milk curds are a dairy product that is formed by coagulation, also known as clotting. Curds can be formed when rennet or any acidic liquid is added to milk. Lemon juice and vinegar are two common acidic liquids that provide benefits when creating the formation of milk curds. Increased acids, such as vinegar or lemon juice, force proteins contained in milk to group together and create solid masses, which are identified as curds. Any remaining liquid after this process is whey protein. Cheese curds contain proteins and fat from milk. They are produced by a formation called coagulation of casein. The casein molecules can be bothered and separated from the whey by an addition of acid, which disturbs the casein micelle structure. Emma Christensen, a graduate of the Cambridge School for Culinary Arts said, When milk becomes too acidic, like when we add lemon juice or when it goes sour, the negative charge on the casein groupings becomes neutralized. Now instead of pushing each other apart, the casein starts to clump together. Changed combinations of the controlled amount of acid added to milk and enzymatic hydrolysis of casein are the foundations of different types of cheese made in industries. Enzymatic hydrolysis is the process where enzymes ease the bonding in molecules with the addition of the elements found in water. This process assists in digestion and the formation of cheese. Lemon juice is an enzyme that is used to speed up the process of coagulation. Addition of acid to milk assists the separation of curds from whey and controls the growth of undesirable bacteria in cheese. An example of adding lemon juice to heated milk and causing the milk to form curds is Paneer cheese. Milk contains 86% water, fats, carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and vitamins. • 33. Essay about Beowulf as a Messianic Narrative Beowulf as a messianic narrative has been a subject of great controversy. Given the time period, Christianity was not completely established, and it was entwined with cultural paganism, as seen woven throughout the text. The definition of a messianic narrative (containing the ultimate messianic figure) is found in Isaiah 53, a prophecy spoken by God through the Hebrew prophet Isaiah. This is the standard to which Beowulf must be compared to determination the nature of the poem. Many scholars such as Harold Bloom (quoting E. Chambers) have critically viewed Beowulf to determine the nature of the epic, resulting in a diverse range of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bloom and Donaldson argue that whilst Christian elements are present, heroic paganism is more prevalent in Beowulf. This is supported by the death of Beowulf, reading, of all the world kings, [he was] keenest for fame, summarising Beowulf, and suggesting his life only amounted to self glorification. In assessing the Christianity of Beowulf, Frank suggests that, like King Alfred did of Remiguis s commentaries, the author of Beowulf used pagan analogies for Christian concepts. Lawson explores this in the role fate has throughout the poem. Social and economic changes around 1820 to 1860 stimulated the Commercial Period, which produced two distinct spheres of influence: the business world of men and the private domestic world of women (Grace 10). Instead of the home being a means of production, industry s influence was being felt for the first time, and with its arrival, men became connected to the public realm more clearly, and conversely, women to the private realm (10). The author provides explanations to scientific reactions that make fog result from mixing together dry ice and water. Kuntzleman, the author of A Molecular Explanation of How Fog is Produced When Dry Ice Is Placed in Water , also explains why various ideas about dry ice are false. He demonstrates his ideas using experiments he says can be performed using primarily cheap, and easy to find material. The first experiment constructed is set up to effectively measure the density of fog. Because the experiments all deal with dry ice, it is vital to be able to measure the density of the fog resulting from a dry ice and liquid combination.
