Before the creation of the Office of Neighborhood Safety in 2007, Richmond, California was
considered America s 9th most dangerous city with 47 homicides in 2007, in a population of slightly
more than 100,000 (Murphy, 2014). The majority of these homicides involved the use of firearms.
Recognizing the need to focus on reducing, specifically, gun related deaths, ONS was established to
build partnerships and strategies that produce sustained reductions in firearm assaults and related
retaliations (Office of Neighborhood Safety, 2016).
In 2010, through a partnership with Richmond law enforcement, it was estimated that there were 17
people responsible for 70 percent of the firearm activity in the city (Gonzalez, 2016). With this
information, the department set out to address the problem of how to engage with the few people that
seemed to be causing the greatest amount of violence in the region, resulting in the creation of the
Operation Peacemaker Fellowship.

no idea what to expect, and the in store advertisement was vague, and showed bland color results on
the color menu which was located right below the rack of liners. I went with Fishnet Jet, because on
the advertising it appeared to be the darkest color; yet it also looked as if it had some sort of navy tint

Materials Methods
In the osmotic lab seven cups , a marker, metric ruler, digital balance, paper towels, a knife and seven
cups containing solutions 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6m of sucrose were used in the experiment.
The marker was used to label the seven cups with the seven different concentrations of sucrose . A
cork borer was used to cork the potato and then the metric ruler was used to measure seven 5cm long
samples cut with scalpel . The samples were weighed on the digital balance to the nearest tenths of a
gram. The weight of each potato cube was recorded on table under initial weight. As each mass was
taken the potato core were placed in the solutions of sucrose and stirred every 15 min where the initial
mass was recorded. After letting the potatoes soak in their designated sucrose solutions from 9:28
10:36 they were removed and blotted lightly with the paper towels. The potatoes where then measured
on the digital balance and the changes in weight were recorded on table under final weight. The
change in weights if any was then calculated between each individual potato s initial and final weight.
Results
After we finished recording the data of the experiment it became evident that the solution of 0.3 was
the osmolarity of the potato. It showed a 0 percent change in this solution.

they would tend to use less of sagging pants because of their age and maturity level.
In the same fashion, I believe school dropouts would tend to sag more than medical doctors because of
the difference in professionalism. In my opinion, doctors are professionals and are not trying to look
cool or make a fashion statement. In addition, I believe that some dropouts would have a lesser sense
of ethical and acceptable morals. But, at the same time, I still find wearing specific styles of clothing
