2. Ibrai Altynsarin (1841-1889) — outstanding Kazakh educator,
writer, ethnographer, folklorist, public figure.
Author of Kazakh textbooks:
Kazakh Anthology (1879)
"The initial guide to teaching Kazakhs the Russian language"
(1879)
Аuthor of fables and short stories, as well as translations by L. N.
Tolstoy, I. A. Krylov.
He opened four two-class central Russian-Kazakh schools,
One vocational school,
The first women's school in Kazakhstan
Teacher's school in Troitsk, a little later was transferred to
Orenburg.
He created variants of the alphabet based on Russian graphics for
writing Kazakh texts.
3. Ybyrai also raised the idea of public education in his poems, which were included in the" Kazakh
anthology". His "Кел, балалар, оқылық!"And the poems" Өнер-білім бар жұрттар " were born
for this purpose. "Кел, балалар, оқылық! " the poem encourages young people to read and learn:
Оқысаңдар, балалар,
Шамнан шырақ жағылар.
Тілегенің алдыңнан
Іздемей-ақ табылар.
Кел, балалар, оқылық!
Оқығанды көңілге
Ықыласпен тоқылық!
Thus, the poet, on the one hand, appeals to young people to study, to get an education, and on the
other hand, hits the old view that they do not care about reading, art, science, what it is necessary
for the people as a whole.

4. PHILOSOPHY IN KNOWLEDGE
JADIDISM
“One should learn to read and write Russian. The Russian language is a key
to spiritual riches and knowledge, the arts and many other treasures. If we
wish to avoid the vices of the Russians while adopting their achievements,
we should learn their language and study their scholarship and science, for it
was by learning foreign tongues and assimilating world culture that the
Russians have become what they are. Russian opens our eyes to the world.
By studying the language and culture of other nations, a person becomes
their equal and will not need to make humble requests. Enlightenment is
useful for religion as well.” (part 25-th word)

For this reason, the intelligentsia of the nation in their poems is very critical of the mullahs.

6. WORLDVIEW IDEAS OF YBYRAI ALTYNSARIN
The initial general basis of the ideas of Altynsarin's educational and
pedagogical practice was his system of socio-philosophical views.
Many researchers of Y. Altynsarin's works rely
on his actions according to their philosophical
views. This means that, acknowledging the
objective existence of the world, he also
acknowledged the existence of God as the
creator of the surrounding reality.
7. PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
Altynsarin's philosophy of education contained a national concept of
Enlightenment, as it raised questions about national identity and how
to balance national and universal interests in the theory and practice
of educational discourse. Was it possible to preserve national tradition
in the educational totalizing discourse of the time when the great
Altynsarin lived and created? He himself sought to implement such a
balanced educational concept, in which the national-traditional
content (ethical) imbued the educational process with moral
greatness: a person understands education as the formation and
realization of their human selfhood. "Knowledge is power, but power
over oneself, when your efforts become moral efforts in transforming
oneself - this is what the thinker himself aspired to.
8. THE FIRST SCHOOLS IN KAZAKHSTAN
The first school opened by Ibray Altynsarin in
Turgay in 1864
Ibray Altynsarin is a person who left a deep
mark in the history of the Enlightenment of the
Kazakh people and the formation of the
National School. He paid special attention to
the issue of education and upbringing of the
younger generation. In 1860, the regional
department satisfied many requests from
Altynsarin and allowed the Orenburg
Department to open a primary school for
Kazakh children. It was difficult to open a
school in a remote city (there were no funds, a
school building and teaching aids).
9. In addition, Ibrai Altynsarin became the
first Kazakh to become a teacher at the
Turgai school in 1861. With this event,
Ibrai Altynsarin, who was inspired by his
Enlightenment ideas, visited the villages
and realized the importance of Education.
Having collected funds from the local
population, having invested some of his
saved, money, Altynsarin began to build a
school building.On January 8, 1864, the
grand opening of the school took place. In
the Kazakh steppe, it was called "Kara
shanyrak", "the first karlygash".
10. The First Girls ' School in the Kazakh steppe
In 1887, thanks to the initiative of Altynsarin,
the first women's school was opened in Irgiz,
where 15 Kazakh girls studied. In
subsequent years, women's boarding
schools began to function in Turgai,
Kostanay, Karabutak, Aktobe. In all these
institutions, 211 girls studied, 70 of them
Kazakh women.
