My Reflection Of My Fitness Program
I really enjoyed my fitness program because thanks to it I realized that I am good at doing
physical performance when I am motivated. In this occasion, I was motivated because when I set
myself an objective I make sure I accomplish it or at least I try very hard to accomplish it. Also,
this was an important work that I had to do for sports (it was practically the whole grading for this
partial).
I liked this activity, and thanks to it I was able to rediscover myself an adapt a healthier lifestyle.
This activity showed me that I can do whatever I propose if I am motivated. It also showed me
that I can be a persistent person. It showed me that I can be a persistent person because
sometimes, when doing my fitness plan, I thought that the exercises were really hard, but I didn t
give up. I worked hard, and I persist on doing the exercises not matter how harder they were.
I think that I achieved my goals because I have more flexibility, my core muscles are stronger and I
consider that my cardiovascular system is in good shape. I can affirm this because now I have a
better performance in any physical activity than before. For example, last weekend we went to do
yoga with my family in a place called Aumau Yoga Studio. Before doing my fitness program, I
wasn t capable of doing a lot of different yoga poses ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

each week we were improving a lot. Suddenly my mother and I were no longer exhausted when
jogging 3 kilometers. So, we increased the kilometers, that we planned to jog, each week. Now,
we can do 6 kilometers. I thought that I will never be able to achieve such a thing and I am really
proud of my mom and me. We plan to continue jogging every Sunday together at Carolina park and

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart s Overture
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart s overture to The Marriage of Figaro brings together all the
components and styles of the classical period. With it being an overture, it sets the mood and
allows people to get ready for the opera they are about to watch. Mozart was one of the greatest
composers to ever resonate from the classical period and his music is still studied and played
worldwide today. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
was born in 1756 in Salzburg. (Kem) Recognized for
his works at an extremely young age, Mozart was playing the harpsicord by the age of four and
had written his first operaby the age of eight. (Wright) He was highly educated and exceedingly
well known throughout Europe. The early parts of his career were spent waiting at the beck and
call of people in high political power until 1781. In 1781, Mozart moved to Vienna, Austria to
become a freelance composer, teacher, and pianist. (Kem) Most composers in the Classical era
worked for the aristocracy. Mozart being a freelance composer left him in serious finical trouble
by the end of his career. (Kem) Although he lived a short life, dying at the age of thirty five, but
his time in this world was not wasted. During his lifespan, he wrote over six hundred pieces of
work ranging from operas, piano concertos, symphonies, and serenades. (Kem) One of his opera
buffas that stood out in his career was The Marriage of Figaro. The French writer Pierre Augustin
Caron de Beaumarchais wrote the play. Beaumarchais and Mozart wrote a

Analysis Of The Book Mud Slinger By Jacob Riis
This section of a book was composed by Jacob Riis, who was a muckraking columnist. Mud
slinger was a writer who pushed for change by productions the issues of society to the center and
rich classes. In this book, Riis made a photographic report about the life of needy individuals in the
dwellings of New York.
Initially, Riis portrayed an assault, which was made by policemen. The object of that strike was the
stale brew plunges. He said that the squads sent to make concurrent control on all tramp s sanctuary
in the territory. After that, they got a few tramps and sent them to the policeheadquarters. At that
point, Riis depicted a room of one dwelling. There was grimy floor, broken seat, and numerous
things that it shouldn t in the memory of the man. In that place, there was a gathering of destitute
individuals. The policemen broke into that room and encompassed those individuals. There was a
thirteen man in that messy room. The police took them and went to another area. In another area,
the policemen discovered seventy five men and ladies and captured them in four little rooms.
When they did a reversal to the police headquarters, there were two hundred seventy five tramps,
who were caught by policemen, pressed them into gatherings to be charged in the police court. He
said that the tramps may be sent to an island for six months. After that, he portrayed the general
population s life here which known as the curve . He said that an offer of stale brew activity has left

Race And Reality In The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn
Imposture and Identity, Fiction and Reality are the real dilemmas of Mark Twain s America in The
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of Mark Twain s most celebrated novels. Although it is
viewed as a continuation of another work of his, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer(as is referenced in
the story itself), the book has managed to gain its own success and to have a fame of its own
thanks to the subtle but effective manner in which it managed to bring forth into discussion a great
number of very important themes, such as culture and civilization, values and morality, race and
identity. Disguised in a coming of age story about a boy who seeks to escape the limitations of a

the role that he plays. We get to know Huck, in other words, by who he is not, not who he is.
Huck s identity depends, therefore, on whatever it is that keeps those adopted roles from sticking.
(Thomas 281) That is not, however to say that Huckleberry Finn will not acquire a true identity, as
with the progression of the story, from the very start but more evidently from the Wilks Farm
adventure, the reader gathers glimpses of what the boy may become as we witness his thoughts and
evolving opinions. One may assume that that which keeps Huck from becoming an impostor
through his many roles is the same factor which will determine his later and final

Argumentative Essay On Amelia
Espionage is seen as a threat, no matter where the location. The Japanese wouldn t want people
sneaking photographs of top secret information. Amelia would be seen as a threat and her
actions would be greatly frowned upon naturally. Her gender or aviation movement would not
matter, nor be considered when determining her fate. A spy during a time of chaos is not going
to be ignored or taken lightly. If spying was involved; I would imagine more than a plane crash
would involve her disappearance, but if she is what I envision. A feminist who wants to leave her

they trained spies but I am not sure if Amelia Earhart was one of them. I was not an eyewitness, I
have no factual evidence of her presence there. I question if the person seen just looked familiar? Or
was there confirmation on her identity that I am unaware about? The questions only continue from
not only Earhart but also the location and the actions that were considered to be going on there.
Amelia Earhart s disappearance remains unsolved and will continue this trend if investigations and

The Effect Of Oxygen Deficiency On Lake Ontario
Introduction Background:
The focus of this research project is to identify if there is an oxygen deficiency in lake Ontario
through the cause of rising phosphorus levels and effects of climate change. Measuring the
dissolved oxygen levels in lakes, rivers and oceans is crucial to determine if the water quality is
affecting the organisms in its ecosystem. Low dissolved oxygen levels will have an effect on the
organism s like fish and other species that require oxygen to breathe that are part of that particular
ecosystem. If the dissolved oxygen is not substantial enough it can severely deplete the quality of
life of the water body in which case the water body can be considered dead . This process is called
eutrophication. The focus for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lake Ontario is the 14th largest lake in the world with a water surface area of over 18,900 kmВІ
[Schindler, 2008]. However it is the most polluted lake of all the five Great Lakes [Schindler,
2008]. From industrial runoff, urbanization due to high population density around the lake as well
as agriculture runoff, there are many sources of nutrient pollution around Lake Ontario. With the
nutrient pollution of the lake in this case I am focusing on phosphorus concentration causing the
lake to become anoxic. This can also be seen as the Eutrophication of lake Ontario due to
phosphorus levels. Eutrophication occurs when there is a high concentration of phosphorus in a
body of water. As a result aquatic vegetation and phytoplankton levels increase in the body of
water, also known as an algal bloom [Aquafor Beech, 2005]. Then, when algae decay s, it
consumes oxygen from the water body, resulting in the body of water to become oxygen deficient.
This makes the biotic components in the lake, which include fish and shellfish, difficult to survive
because of the low dissolved oxygen levels making the phosphorus levels of the lake a limiting
factor. Climate Change is the long term alteration in climate of a particular location or region or for
the entire planet (Shrestha, 2014). The other concept that people get confused with climate change
is global warming. Global warming is an effect of climate change, it

Arius On The Status Of Christ-Theoristic
4.7 Arius (c.250 c.336) on the status of Christ Patristic
Arius disagrees with the incarnation of God. Arius insists that God is unchangeable.
Because the Father is regarded as existing before the Son, Arius believes that the Son is a creature.
Arius did rank the Son differently out of all other creatures. Arius regards the Son by saying, a
perfect creature, yet not as one among other creature; a begotten being, yet not as one among other
begotten beings. It is said that, the consequences of this viewpoint were critiqued by many at the
time, and also that his views were known, through the writings of his opponents.

The three treatises by Damascus, are aimed against those who rejected the use of icons. Damascus
argues that the theological fact of the incarnation of Christ provides a solid formation for the use

4.37 Thomas F. Torrance (1913 2006) on the Incarnation and Soteriology Protestant
In this passage Torrence explored the relation of the doctrine of the incarnation to questions of
soteriology. Torrance explains, God s conception and birth of the Virgin Mary, apart from a human
father, did not alter the fact that the birth of Jesus was truly of the flesh just like that of all other
human beings. Also on the grounds of Soteriology, Torrance explains that when the Son of God
became man which effected our salvation through humanity, it was the whole man. In this passage,
Torrance shows the representation of a leading western theological to evaluate and appropriate the
emerging Christological consensus of the Greek patristic

much has changed, most people strives best to evolve to attain desires. According to Nietzsche,
Zarathustra indicated that mankind has lost his sense of living, polluted, and even once

Snow Removal Persuasive Essay
Has your car ever skidded on the road getting out of your neighborhood because of snow build up?
Snow removal is a big issue if it does not get taken care of correctly. In Violet Township, it can take
a while for the smaller roads to get plowed, if at all. There are many reasons that snow needs to be
removed. For one, snowbuildup can be very unsafe or those who drive on it. Looking in depth at the
problem of a lack of snow removal and how it affects people, as well as going into how what the
new policy should be as well as others available and how they could be implemented.
The problem being looked at is snow removal and why it should be a public policy. The lack of
snow removal can harm those who drive on the covered roads. This is an important issue
because many people have been hurt or harmed because of lack of removal. According to Safe
Winter Roads, there are more than 116,000 injuries and over 1,300 deaths in America due to snow

removal is already something that takes quite a bit of money to accomplish. According to
Butcher, snow and ice removal costs are usually on the order of $150,000 to $200,000 per year.
This includes labor, fuel, and salt . To be able to hire private people to plow the small streets
would add more money to the cost. The best way to get the extra money would be to raise taxes
for the people that reside in Violet Township. Many people are not found of paying taxes, let alone

Is Paul Appealing Or Appalling Book Summary
Paul was a Jew, born in Tarsus, but brought up in Jerusalem at the feet of Gamaliel, educated
strictly according to our ancestral law...at least that is how Luke puts it in Acts of the Apostles,
where he documented the actions of the followers of Jesus. This book of the New Testament

successful at spreading Christianitythat the idea that he is a co founder of Christianity, second only
to Jesus, is an extremely popular one. It could not have been an accident that he was able to

The Jewish community rejected the lax attitude concerning Mosaic Law. The Galatians, who
were brought up in an area of the world dominated by a polytheistic, law based religion, sought
comfort in the more disciplined Jewish approach. Paul: Appealing or Appalling? is the
surprising title of the first chapter in a book about the differing opinions, written by Christian
scholars, Marcus J. Borg and John Dominic Crossan. Their account of Paul s controversial stance
on a variety of major issues like gender roles and slavery helps to understand the historical
significance of Paul s evangelism. Jews were easier to reach than Gentiles, because of their
sacred education, therefore the issue of circumcision was definitely an issue among the first
converts to Christianity. The question on everyone s mind was, Do you have to be a Jew to be a
Christian? Judeans were taught that salvation would only come to those circumcised according to
the custom. Once in Jerusalem, Paul went to the elders to announce God s grace in the lives of the
Gentiles. They rejoiced in his message, but took notice of his advice against Jewish law,

The Effects Of Parental Parents On Children
Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children. Charles R.
Swindoll. Not knowing if those memories are positive or negative. Each day parents wake up
with hope that they can provide for their children s necessities. There are different kinds of
parents some are good for their children but some are not. Most parents raise their kids the way
their own parents raised them, whether it was good or bad. Some parents are too protective; they
are hard to get along with. Laid back parents make teenager s lives simple and joyful because the
parents are there to support their children when they need it, without questioning. Then there are
the parents who do nothing in providing for their child, neglecting parents, which can result to
teenagers getting into bad circumstances. Parents are supposed to support and nurture their
children; but if they do not do it properly, there can be serious effects in their children s future.
Having protective parents can make the life of teenagers difficult. Protective parents demand that
their children obey them and that they follow rules. These parents mean their best but that is
especially hard for teenagers to understand because adolescence is a time when changes happen;
teenagers are starting to have their own opinions, which are probably opposite to their parents. It is
hard for teenagers to make mistakes if they have protective parents because they always expect
something good to come from their kids. Most of the

Minority entrepreneurs have many barriers they have to...
Minority entrepreneurs have many barriers they have to overcome in order to be successful.
Some typical problems they face are limited access to capital, lower equity investments, and less
exposure to entrepreneurship. Minority entrepreneurs are twice as likely to be turned down for
traditional lending, which can discourage them from even applying for a loan. Not only that but
they are less likely to be considered by traditional or angel investors. They also generally live in
run down areas, with poor schooling and less access to successful people. One entrepreneur who
has hurdled over all the barriers and became extremely successful is Russell Simmons, the co
founder of Def Jam Records.

There hasn t been a label whose fortunes have been so intertwined with hip hops fortune.
However, they were not the first label to put out rap and not as many revolutionary artists as one
might think. So why do they have an almost mythical status? Def Jam got its status because
Simmons recognized the worth of hip hop music, and saw how it could expand into a cultural
revolution. Def Jam s started in Rick Ruban s NYU dorm, with each Simmons and Rubin only
investing a few thousand dollars each. Their first official release was LL Cool J s I need a Beat. It
sold more than 100,000 copies giving Simmons the leverage he needed to cut a deal with CBS
Records for distribution. This deal was the first of its kind for hip hop. Simmons secured Def
Jams future by making clever decisions that seemed insane at the time, such as pairing Run
D.M.C. with Aerosmith on the cover of Walk This Way. The video of this duo finally got hip
hop onto MTV, which had a negative view on rap at the time. Rubin left Def Jam in 1988,
making Simmons the sole head of the company. Simmons also tried his hand in producing
movies; his company s name is Simmons Lathan Media. His first of which was called Krush
Groove (1985). This was a fiction that was loosely based on Simmons life. It was originally
supposed to be a plotless vehicle

Greg Sestero s The Room
Greg Sestero wanted to be an actor. His French mother did not approve and took every
opportunity to tell her son to persuade a different career. After molding in high school, Greg
needed acting classes to be considered by agents in Los Angeles. The class he signed up for was
led by Jean Shelton, who was terrifying. Ready to rip anyone apart, there was no pleasing
Shelton with the skits they had to perform. Only one person was not afraid of Shelton and that
was Pirate Guy. Later, Greg learned his name to be Tommy Wiseau, was fearless, and stood up the
Shelton to how he wanted his scene to be. Wanting that same kind of fearlessness, Greg asked
Tommy to be his scene partner, which lead to a friendship like no other. On their first of many

The Room is a cult classic film because it was so bad, it would make the grumpiest person laugh.
With plots that go nowhere and bad acting, or was it just a bad script, The Room is a movie
everyone must see at least once. Taking his experience from The Room, along with his personal
friendship to Tommy, Greg Sestero, along with Tom Bissell, wrote this book about the making
of The Room for us super fans. Read like a story, this book switches from the making of the
Room, to Sestero s life, with and without Tommy, before the script for the Room was written.
You got to read from Sestero s point of view of meeting Tommy, him moving into Tommy s L.A
apartment, to their friendship falling out and coming back strong in the end. The Disaster Artist,
tilted appropriately because that is what Tommy Wiseau is, as an artist, he is a disaster. This
book, to me, is better if you know the plot of The Room, as it helps to make the connections
easier as you understand what scene Sestero is explain. If unable to stomach the movie itself, The
Disaster Artist film, starring James Franco as Tommy and Dave Franco as Greg, is another great
film that truly captures the horribleness that was The Room. A fun, inspiring and funny story, The
Disaster Artist, is about Tommy s escapade to defeat the Hollywood system of making the movie,
and his best friend Greg, who was at his side when this

Toyota s Management Structure Functional Integration
One of Toyota s issues was their lack of organizational culture, perceived or real. Thus,
organizational culture is the shared values that are accepted by members of the organization
(Bethel, 2016). Unfortunately, Toyota s corporate culture was one of total secrecy, which left many
feeling there was something amiss. Further, corporate arrogance, complacency, and company
insular nature were evident (Parnell, 2014, p. 603). Additionally, newly appointed CEO Akio
Toyoda was invisible, which created contention amongst others in leadership. There seemed to be a
belief that family members were focused on safety, while non family members were focused on
profits (Parnell, 2014).
Likewise, Toyota s management structure lacked functional integration because the functional
operating areas reported directly to Japan. Basically, it was top down management structure, which
may have led to several of the key issues, which were:
High growth trajectory
Corporate culture
Poor leadership
Management structure
Failure to own mistakes
Focus on cost cutting
Pressure on suppliers to reduce costs (Parnell, 2014).
Clearly, Toyota was in the automobilemanufacturing industry and had been for many years. Hence
their key competitors included: Honda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Kia, Hyundai, Mercedes
Benz, BMW, and Nissan (Parnell, 2014). As with the others in the industry, some of the key risks
associated with the auto industry were the impact of the recession, rising costs of

The Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is basically a Starbucks clone chain, kind of new ish to the Bay
Area, apparently originating in L.A. and slowly creeping its way north and east over the last
couple of decades. I don t know about any of the other locations, as this is the only one I ve been
to, but I d rate it as maybe slightly better than Starbucks overall, but with worse coffee. This
particular location is between 4th and 5th along Market, an area surprisingly not well supplied
by coffee shops other than the obligatory two or three Starbucks seemingly present on every
downtown block. The interior is much more spacious and inviting than most downtown coffee
shops, and also has a lot of patio tables set up outdoors. There s a good amount of tables inside
and a large coffee table in the middle around which are some leather sofas and stuffed chairs.
Unfortunately the coffee and food is hidden behind a partition, and to see everything you must
enter a cafeteria style line, so if it is busy you are pretty much committed and can t change your
mind about buying something. The menu is basically all the expected coffee drinks, tea,
muffins, scones, some miscellaneous pastries, and bagels. Prices are average to slightly high for
the area. A small coffee is $1.75, which is definitely high, and the size isn t any better than any of
the cheaper places around. A bagel is a more reasonable $1.25, but they charge you an extra 50

Sex Offender Medications
The purpose of sex offender treatment is to alter the deviant sexual arousal patterns, addressing
social skills deficits that result in deviant behavior, to challenge the beliefs that facilitate sex
offending behavior, and to develop strategies to prevent sexual reoffending. To resolve the above
mentioned problems involves the use of both medication and behavioral based treatment models.
Medications that are used to decrease sexual deviant behavior include synthetic progesterone

training by the United States military. It received a mission known as OperacГon Rescate, which
translates into Operation Rescue, that had a single goal of removing guerrilla fighters and its
sympathizers in the area surrounding El Mozote. The fighters in this force accused the villagers of
supporting FMLN and supplying them with food, arms, and people. This accusation eventually
escalated to the torturing of certain members of the community and then the barbaric killing of
close to a thousand people. The Atlacatl used various methods to murder and terrorize the people

Analysis Of Diving Into The Wreck By Adrienne Rich
Is it possible for words on a page to become a painting in the mind? After plunging into Adrienne
Rich s Diving into the Wreck, it is apparent that words on a page can come to life in the mind of
the readers. Rich uses a vast amount of describing words, and a setting of a scuba diver to allow
readers the ability to acknowledge and understand the difficulties life may imply upon humankind.
Throughout the next few paragraphs, it is evident that certain elements of poems can become a
large factor in allowing the reader to get more out of a poem, rather than just words on a page. In
summary, Adrienne Rich gives the reader a depiction of a person dealing with one or even many
difficult intricacies in life through the symbolization of scuba divingin a large body of water (Mays,
2014, p.581). Whether that be national issues, personal relationships, the death of those close by,
or even more personal issues, the reader is able to relate with Rich s symbolization of a scuba
diver getting ready for an intense journey through a large, dark body of water. Scuba diving into a
shipwreckis an abstract way to relate the thoughts people bottle up inside their bodies into a larger,
more meaningful picture, which allows the reader to understand how issues weigh on the mind. In
addition, Rich doesn t just use simple words to create a symbolization, she precedes or follows
those words with meaningful adjectives which help to create a clearer appearance for the reader to
imagine. In the

People can view Britishness as a way of life where you have to abide and live up to certain values

The Bacteria Escherichia Coli ( E. Coli )
Question 1
In the past scientist have used the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli) in Synthetic Biology to
allow the bacterial species to recognise and respond to light frequencies providing greater
knowledge of complex biological systems (Levskaya et al. 2005). E. coli is a suitable chassis to
express Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) as the bacteria s plasmid helps to establish GFP
(Chavshin et al. 2013). The bacterial plasmid is a maltose binding protein that helps E. coli and
GFP fuse together and allows for detection of gene expression and controlling internal
environments (Feilmeier et al. 2000). As GFP is a useful biological indicator due to its
fluorescent structure (Mazzola et al. 2005) and through the ability of E. coli responding to light,
GFP is easily expressed through the process of light stimulation (Lee, J et al. 2013). Through the
unique structure and functions found within E. coli, it allows for successful expression of GFP
making E. coli a suitable base organism.
Question 2
Jellyfish (Aequorea victoria) naturally produce GFP (Zupen et al. 2004) allowing for extraction
of the organisms genes and protein to engineer a bacteria that can produce GFP. Scientists are
able to blind a bacterial species for example E. coli with GFP by cloning the genes found within
jellyfish that produce Green Florescent Protein and insert it into a chosen bacterial species (Zupen
et al. 2004). Through the expression of the GFP gene in other organisms, synthetic biology can be

Implementation Plan For Students For Stress And Anxiety Essay
Implementation Plan
In June 2017, Youth Uprising will create a district wide policy with Alameda County to screen
all A.A. students for stress and anxiety (See Appendix A). Starting July 2017, Beauty in the
Process program will be the result of the new district wide policy in Alameda County (See
Appendix A). This will be a pilot program for one year at Lincoln Middle School in Alameda,
California. Volunteers will be recruited from the school s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and in
return each volunteer, up to six persons, will receive a school supply grant for $500. Youth
UpRising will provide a program coordinator, certified health educator, social worker and guidance
counselor from the organization s program to make the recruitment processes easier.
The program will partner with Flying Yoga Studios in Alameda, since they already have experience
teaching yoga and meditation to younger children. The partnership will give student yoga
instructors more community hours while assisting a certified yoga instructor. This will ensure
students get more attention during sessions with two paid yoga instructors plus additional student
instructors. Volunteers will then be fingerprinted and background checked. Art instructor will be
recruited through the Alameda County Department of Education to hire an art instructor with
teaching credentials.

people usually see. Milton tells the story more through the eyes of Satan, whom most people
usually consider the ultimate villain. The way in which Satan is portrayed in this story has caused
speculation as to whether Satan is actually a hero in this situation. He certainly has heroic qualities
throughout the story, yet still is ultimately responsible for Adam and Eves sin. Satan can easily be
classified as a hero in this story, as well as the main antagonist, depending on the viewpoint of the

The character of Satan in this story can also be related to other tragic heroes throughout history.
He is a variant of Achilles, who equates honor with his own status...and feels slighted by his
commander in chief, refuses his orders and believes himself superior. Both epics turn on the
connection between a sense of injur d merit and the hero s wrath. He is Odysseus and Jason on
their heroic voyages, leader and chief warrior in battle during and after the War in Heaven, and
through it all the most powerful speaker, able to rally and organize his troops with the eloquence
of his appeals to their own heroic values. (Forsyth 30).
While many arguments can be made to defend Satan as the hero of this story, his power clearly
declines throughout the poem. In the end, he does not achieve his goal. Satan is bitter, but also
acknowledges the reality of his circumstances (Smith). We see Satan reach his peak, then his
power gently declines by the end of the story. Although Satan is powerful and persevering, he is
no match for God. We begin to see more of his flaws. Satan is undoubtedly charismatic and
persuasive in his speeches, as well as a powerful military leader, yet he seems to be somewhat
hypocritical as well. For example, when we are first introduced to Satan, he tells his followers not
to be afraid, yet he is afraid himself. Some might view this as Satan being brave, but this could
also be viewed as him being deceptive, which illustrates how he

When a Good Man Goes to War
Demons run when a good man goes to war Steven Moffat Demons run when a good man goes to
war. It is incredibly hard to get a genuinely nice person to become mad. It is even harder to get a
genuinely nice person to act on their anger. If you managed to do that, I salute you. Go ahead,
give yourself a pat on the back. Why? you may ask, well it s because you, in all of your supreme
ignorance, managed to ruin a completely likeable person. So, that pat on the back is not for
accomplishment, my friend, it s for good luck because that charming person will eventually come
back to exact their revenge, and best believe that they will have a delightful time in being
involved with your demise. You, drowning in your ignorance, completely forgot that the slinkiest,
shadiest people are the nice ones, and when you get a nice person on their bad side, well, you
have my prayers. Night will fall and drown the sun, when a good man goes to war. Children, in
particular, are especially hard to go to war with. In the movie Beasts of the Southern Wild, young,
innocent Hushpuppy realises the hardships of living in the seemingly uninhabitable Isle de Charles
Doucet. When she accidentally released the Aurochs, the beasts who were supposed to destroy all
of humankind she was at first, scared. Although, throughout her adventures in the movie, she
realizes that she can t sit down and let life go by with people abusing and misusing you. She
confronts the Aurochs, and with her tremendous

Nash Inclusivism Analysis
The thrust of the supportive text for inclusivism is found in the book of Acts. The story of
Cornelius (Acts 10) , The Council of Jerusalem (Acts 15), Paul s speech in Lystra (Acts 14), and
Paul s speech to the Athenians (Acts 17). Additional scriptures in Timothy (1 Tim 2:3 4), Titus
(Titus 2:11), 2 Peter (2 Peter 3:9) and 1 John (1 John 2:2) are examined. Most of the inclusive
arguments revolve around the idea that God is obligated to make salvation available to all
people. Nash skillfully dissects each point and shows a universal weakness to their thought. Each
of these verses revolve around an inclusion of people outside of the Christian or Jewish
perspective. In summery he implies that his assessment and the information of Chapter 8 should
encourage inclusivist to reexamine their position. Jesus did die for all people, but within the
divine context of His requirements (CITE SOMETHING). As Nash has done in previous chapters,
he quickly retaliates with information from the exclusivist perspective. Romans 10, Acts 4, and
John 14 are laid out as proofs of Christ being the only way of salvation in direct... Show more

He as decisively confronted the belief systems on much of their own arguments from scripture
and morality showing flaws and weaknesses that seriously place the teachings in jeopardy for
those who choose to investigate it. From a personal standpoint, inclusivism is a weak, middle
ground argument that attempts to build a bridge across two ideas that are not compatible. Erwin
Lutzer in his book Christ Among Other gods follows much of the same thought as Nash also
addressing Clark Pinnock and John Sanders teaching as creating a probable interpretation out of
only a possible interpretation. Lutzer supports Nash by showing that they have a concept of
fairness based on limited understanding of God s agenda criticizing them for trying to go beyond

Protestant Reformation And Moral Decay Of The Catholic Church
The Catholic Church, while being the oldest institution in the western world, was also at one point
one of the most corrupt and immoral institutes of the time. The early sixteenth century was an age
of culture and art, with the Renaissance in full swing and countries such as Spain and Portugal
exploring the world s seas and finding new trade routes. However, the Protestant Reformationwas a
major blow to the power of the Church and papacy. This reformation occurred due to the
institutional and moral decay of the Catholic Churchthrough problems such as the extremely
controversial PopeAlexander VI, priestly greed, depravity in the clergy, and a universal fear of the
power that the current reigning pope held. This all led to many individuals... Show more content on

The level of depravity in the clergy was also astounding, from inappropriate behavior to lust, the
clergy did not have the same values as they once had when the church was created. This of
course led to most of the common people to question what kind of an institution they were
supporting and if these people were truly following gods word or simply claiming to.By far one
of the greatest leading causes of institutional decay in the Catholic church was due the reigning
pope of the time: [...] a derivative of the universal belief that whoever wore the tiara could, at his
pleasure, determine how each individual would spend his afterlife (92). This led to a type of
fear mongering in which the average person would have an extreme fear of the power that the
pope held and therefore never question the papacy. This of course led to depravity working its
way into the church because no one would ever dare speak against the church and point out the
corruptness occurring. Similarly: The pope, he said, had more power than all the apostles, all the
angels and saints, more even than the Virgin Mary herself, for these were all subjects of Christ, but
the Pope was equal to Christ

In this painting we see an infant that is in a boat. Behind the infant there is an angel that is
guiding the child out of a cave into a beautiful landscape. Thomas Cole paints the landscape very
rich; you get o a sense of warmth and calmness. There is beautiful green land, big mountains, and
different types of flowers.
According to the website Exploring Thomas Cole, there are different types of allegories in this
painting. The first allegory is the hourglass that is in the boat. The hourglass is meant to
represent time, the second allegory is the river, which is meant to represent the stream of life,
and the third allegory is the flower, which is an Egyptian lotus, which Cole described as
symbolical of Human Life. Finally the cave that the infant and the angel are coming out of
according to Thomas Cole is an emblematic of our earthly origin, and the mysterious Past. Cole
uses different types of light and dark colors it gives the painting a different look, the light colors
fade and so does the dark colors, this is called chiaroscuro. Perspective was also used in this
painting; different parts of the painting have different sizes giving us a sense of depth.
The second painting, Youth, painted in 1842, oil on canvas, 53 in Г— 76 in, continues to have a
beautiful green landscape, we still see trees, flowers, mountains, and now we see a castle in the
back. In this painting the view is widening. The child from the last painting now looks like

Diverse University Experience
Universities in the present globalized world have a diverse student population. I believe this aspect
has an important role to play in the overall educational experience of students. Diversity has many
forms such as gender, race or ethnicity, nationality or place of origin, disability, etc. When students
interact with fellow students who are different from them, they learn to value and respect
differences. I feel it helps in developing students who are more open to new ideas and willing to
experiment. Ultimately, this creates a more tolerant society. Growing up in India surrounded by
cultures different from my own, I was encouraged to value both the commonalities and differences
of the human experience. As a graduate studentat McGill, and while living in Montreal, a vibrant
multicultural city, the experiences that I gained further shaped my worldview. To demonstrate how

imbibe aspects of different culture. As a TA, I carefully listened to students with my own
perceptions set aside, since I believe assumptions such as an easy concept or a hard concept are
based on my cultural and educational background, and not that of my students. I always tried to
include in my lectures examples of people (inventors, scientists) from an array of backgrounds.
This supported students to relate easily with the scenarios that I discussed in the class or in a

Historical Debates Are The Most Common, And Often Most
Historical debates are the most common, and often most effective, tool for which new study and
scholarly perspectives are forged. The topic of municipalization might not seem at first glance like
a vessel for heated scholarly debate; however, once one peels back the curtain, several lines of
argument arise. Municipalization, in the classical sense, is the effective bringing into the fold of
institutions and governments under the control of a larger body. This particular inquiry will focus
on the Roman Empire, and one particular source of law that has sparked a wider discussion on the
phenomena of municipalization in the entirety of the Roman sphere of influence, the Tabula
Heracleensis. More detail will be given to the specific aspects of... Show more content on

The most pertinent aspects of Scott s study to the Tabula Heracleensis are censuses, standardization
of weights and measurements, and the organization of trans regional transportation. These things
are all mentioned in some form in the Tabula, and thus we must try and apply Scott s theory to it.
Scott essentially believes that states cannot possibly understand the intricacies of social phenomena
and any attempt at large scale standardization (or municipalization) is carried out through the
coercive force of the state and will likely result in a negative social environment. This is shown
best through the quote, Because local standards of measurement were tied to practical needs,
because they reflected particular cropping patterns and agricultural technology, because they varied
with climate and ecology, because they were an attribute of power and an instrument of asserting
class privilege, and because they were at the center of bitter class struggle, they represented a mind
boggling problem for statecraft. In a rather long winded way, Scott is asserting that governments
often cannot account for the social, economic, and cultural methodologies that go in to a particular
aspect of daily life. This will become key once applied to the Tabula.
As for Edward Bispham s work From Asculum to Actium: The Municipalization of Italy from the
Social War to Augustus, Bispham has a different take on Municipalization this time specifically

Isidore Story
Saint Report
Hi, I m Clayton Stuhrenberg! I am a junior at Palacios High School and am going to talk about
Saint Isidore. I chose this saint because he kinda reminds me of myself. But first, you need to
know his story. This is Isidore s life story.
Isidore was actually born into a family made up of saints that lived during the sixth century in
Spain. Both of his brothers, Leander and Fulgentius and his sister, Florentina, are all recognized as
saints in Spain. It was also a family of pioneers and they had a ton of determination, with his strong
and great brothers serving as bishops. On the other hand, the sister was an abbess.
Because of the high standards set and other reasons, life was not easy for Isidore. On the contrary,

He would end up working side by side with his brother and after Leander s death, Isidore would
complete many of the projects that his brother began including a missal and breviary.
Isidore was able to separate the abusive way he was taught from the joy of learning. He didn t avoid
learning after what his brother did but embraced education and worked out any problems he had.
Isidore moved past his past and became known as, The best teacher is Spain. .
His absolute love of learning leads him to promote the creation of a seminary in every diocese of
Spain. He wanted to make sure that everyone had access to a place where they could learn.
Furthermore, he made sure that all branches of knowledge, even including the arts and medicine,
were taught in these seminaries.
His encyclopedia of knowledge or the Etymologies was a popular textbook for about a period of
nine centuries. He also had written books about grammar, astronomy, and geography, as well as
theology. At the point when the Arabs took the investigation of Aristotle back to Europe, this was
just the same old thing new to Spain on the grounds that Isidore s receptive outlook had as of now

The s Theory Of Moral Development
Catherine of Siena was born in 1347, the twenty forth child in her family. At the young age of
seven, she is said to have dedicated her virginity to God and began living a strict life of
discipline that included severe fasting and flagellating herself. When she was fifteen she
decided to join The Third Order of St. Dominic in resistance to her parent s attempts to marry her
off. In order to make herself unattractive to suitors she cut off all of her hair, and after a bout of
smallpox she praised God for the scars left on her face. Around the age of twenty, after joining the
convent, Catherine had her first mystical communion with Jesus Christ (Mystics, Visionaries, and
Prophets, 209). This time marks a turning point in her life where she began to lessen her self
harming practices and started to speak out openly against the injustices of the church. Kohlberg s
Theory of Moral Development states that, moral reasoning, the basis for ethical behavior, has six
identifiable developmental stages, each more adequate at responding to moral dilemmas than its
predecessor. Kohlberg s principle concern was justice, or an Ethic of Rights, that would lead
persons on a path to truth. Using his model, one can trace Catherine s moral development from her
adolescence through her later life. In the beginning of her life, Catherine had a pre conventional
notion of right and wrong that recognized the needs of others, such as her parents, but placed her
own spiritual and emotional needs

Complications Of Richard Cantillon s Theory Of...
2. INTRODUCTION
Its developmental and transformative qualities particularly on emerging global economies, has
given great significance to the concept of entrepreneurship. The impact of entrepreneurship has
more contributory value is most The concept of entrepreneurship has received significant global
attention across the developed and developing countries due to its capacity to transform the
economy (Le Nguyen, 2009:867). The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (2011:8) revealed that
there are approximately 400 million entrepreneurs across 54 countries operating start up businesses.
These countries are grouped into three stages of economic development driven by: factor,

An important aspect of Cantillon s theory is that it stresses the function, not the personality, of the
entrepreneur (Hebert Link, 1988:21).
Cantillon s theory of entrepreneurship is that entrepreneurs function by bearing risk under
uncertainty. They buy goods at known (fixed) prices in the present to sell at unknown prices in the
future (Brown Thornton, 2013:406); this sort of movement would bring equilibrium to a
competitive market. Cantillon generalised the entrepreneurial function as a sizeable number of
occupations that use business functions including production, exchange and distribution to other
tasks of entrepreneurship (Hebert Link, 1989).
Cantillon considers an entrepreneur to be anyone who invests in the sense of acquiring and
employing resources with the purpose of selling goods in the future at an uncertain price and
producers of type including farmers, wholesalers, manufacturers, retailers, owners of mines and
buildings (Brown Thornton, 2013:407). Cantillon saw the entrepreneur as responsible for all
exchange and circulation in the economy as opposed to wage workers and land owners who both
receive a certain or fixed income/rent, the entrepreneur earns an uncertain profit (Hebert Link,

Case Study Of Sacco
1.1.1 Growth of SACCOs
Over the past four decades, Sacco s have been especially vibrant in rural areas since the banks
left a gap when they withdraw from service provision to the poor or middle class people of the
rural. In 1975, rural Sacco s membership was 500,000 and this has grown to 1.2 million in 2005.
In this period, Sacco s were primary closed cooperatives dealing only with active members of
specific organizations with a common bond. Larger Saccos have opened up to non member
clients by stablishing FOSA while others still continue to offer limited services to members
only. This offers a broader range of financial services to both members and non members. Larger
Sacco s in terms of capital base began offering FOSA s in their head during the economic

Genesis And Exodus Compare And Contrast Paper
In both, the Genesis and the Exodus, violence was seen from different perspectives. Both God and
one of his creations (humans), were brutal against humanity. However, one was permitted, seemed
too reasonable, and one wasn t. We can tell that the ones that were permitted were mostly by God
because he/she does everything for a reason while we humanbeings commit unintelligible actions
for no appropriate cause. The act of brutality that was taken for a good cause, was the one that s
permitted whereas the being violent for no actual reason is what s prohibited. In the Genesis,
Adam s eldest son, Cain, was the one to murder the brother from the same mother, And the
LORD regarded Abel and his offering but He did not regard Cain and his offering and Cain was
very incensed ... Cain rose against Abel his brother and killed him (4:6,8). God didn t accept
Cain s offer which caused jealousy to get the good of him and made him kill his own brother.
Evil gets the good of us whenever we are at our lowest. Since Abel was murdered for no
appropriate reason, Cain was cursed and unfavorable to the earth. God wanted Cain to pay a
high price for every single thing he did for survival and keep him alive for as long as possible so
that he could suffer the most. In the Genesis, it s stated, Therefore, whoever kills Cain shall suffer
sevenfold vengeance (4:15). God even marked Cain so that people would be aware of not killing
him because then they would have to carry the burden of the curse.

  • 2. My Reflection Of My Fitness Program I really enjoyed my fitness program because thanks to it I realized that I am good at doing physical performance when I am motivated. In this occasion, I was motivated because when I set myself an objective I make sure I accomplish it or at least I try very hard to accomplish it. Also, this was an important work that I had to do for sports (it was practically the whole grading for this partial). I liked this activity, and thanks to it I was able to rediscover myself an adapt a healthier lifestyle. This activity showed me that I can do whatever I propose if I am motivated. It also showed me that I can be a persistent person. It showed me that I can be a persistent person because sometimes, when doing my fitness plan, I thought that the exercises were really hard, but I didn t give up. I worked hard, and I persist on doing the exercises not matter how harder they were. I think that I achieved my goals because I have more flexibility, my core muscles are stronger and I consider that my cardiovascular system is in good shape. I can affirm this because now I have a better performance in any physical activity than before. For example, last weekend we went to do yoga with my family in a place called Aumau Yoga Studio. With it being an overture, it sets the mood and allows people to get ready for the opera they are about to watch. Mozart was one of the greatest composers to ever resonate from the classical period and his music is still studied and played worldwide today. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in 1756 in Salzburg. (Kem) Recognized for his works at an extremely young age, Mozart was playing the harpsicord by the age of four and had written his first operaby the age of eight. (Wright) He was highly educated and exceedingly well known throughout Europe. The early parts of his career were spent waiting at the beck and call of people in high political power until 1781. In 1781, Mozart moved to Vienna, Austria to become a freelance composer, teacher, and pianist. (Kem) Most composers in the Classical era worked for the aristocracy. Mozart being a freelance composer left him in serious finical trouble by the end of his career. (Kem) Although he lived a short life, dying at the age of thirty five, but his time in this world was not wasted. During his lifespan, he wrote over six hundred pieces of work ranging from operas, piano concertos, symphonies, and serenades. Amelia would be seen as a threat and her actions would be greatly frowned upon naturally. Her gender or aviation movement would not matter, nor be considered when determining her fate. • 9. The Effect Of Oxygen Deficiency On Lake Ontario Introduction Background: The focus of this research project is to identify if there is an oxygen deficiency in lake Ontario through the cause of rising phosphorus levels and effects of climate change. Measuring the dissolved oxygen levels in lakes, rivers and oceans is crucial to determine if the water quality is affecting the organisms in its ecosystem. Low dissolved oxygen levels will have an effect on the organism s like fish and other species that require oxygen to breathe that are part of that particular ecosystem. If the dissolved oxygen is not substantial enough it can severely deplete the quality of life of the water body in which case the water body can be considered dead . This process is called eutrophication. The focus for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lake Ontario is the 14th largest lake in the world with a water surface area of over 18,900 kmВІ [Schindler, 2008]. However it is the most polluted lake of all the five Great Lakes [Schindler, 2008]. From industrial runoff, urbanization due to high population density around the lake as well as agriculture runoff, there are many sources of nutrient pollution around Lake Ontario. With the nutrient pollution of the lake in this case I am focusing on phosphorus concentration causing the lake to become anoxic. This can also be seen as the Eutrophication of lake Ontario due to phosphorus levels. Eutrophication occurs when there is a high concentration of phosphorus in a body of water. As a result aquatic vegetation and phytoplankton levels increase in the body of water, also known as an algal bloom [Aquafor Beech, 2005]. Then, when algae decay s, it consumes oxygen from the water body, resulting in the body of water to become oxygen deficient. This makes the biotic components in the lake, which include fish and shellfish, difficult to survive because of the low dissolved oxygen levels making the phosphorus levels of the lake a limiting factor. Climate Change is the long term alteration in climate of a particular location or region or for the entire planet (Shrestha, 2014). Because the Father is regarded as existing before the Son, Arius believes that the Son is a creature. Arius did rank the Son differently out of all other creatures. Arius regards the Son by saying, a perfect creature, yet not as one among other creature; a begotten being, yet not as one among other begotten beings. It is said that, the consequences of this viewpoint were critiqued by many at the time, and also that his views were known, through the writings of his opponents. 4.15 Cyril of Alexandria (died 444) on Mary as the mother of God Patristic In this passage Cyril talks about how Mary ... Is Paul Appealing Or Appalling Book Summary Paul was a Jew, born in Tarsus, but brought up in Jerusalem at the feet of Gamaliel, educated strictly according to our ancestral law...at least that is how Luke puts it in Acts of the Apostles, where he documented the actions of the followers of Jesus. This book of the New Testament serves as a summarized history of the first Christians. Regardless of Paul s former life as a Jew, so successful at spreading Christianitythat the idea that he is a co founder of Christianity, second only to Jesus, is an extremely popular one. It could not have been an accident that he was able to accomplish so much. The Jewish community rejected the lax attitude concerning Mosaic Law. The Galatians, who were brought up in an area of the world dominated by a polytheistic, law based religion, sought comfort in the more disciplined Jewish approach. Paul: Appealing or Appalling? is the surprising title of the first chapter in a book about the differing opinions, written by Christian scholars, Marcus J. Borg and John Dominic Crossan. Their account of Paul s controversial stance on a variety of major issues like gender roles and slavery helps to understand the historical significance of Paul s evangelism. Jews were easier to reach than Gentiles, because of their sacred education, therefore the issue of circumcision was definitely an issue among the first converts to Christianity. The question on everyone s mind was, Do you have to be a Jew to be a Christian? Judeans were taught that salvation would only come to those circumcised according to the custom. Once in Jerusalem, Paul went to the elders to announce God s grace in the lives of the Gentiles. They rejoiced in his message, but took notice of his advice against Jewish law, ... • 18. The Effects Of Parental Parents On Children Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children. Charles R. Swindoll. Not knowing if those memories are positive or negative. Each day parents wake up with hope that they can provide for their children s necessities. There are different kinds of parents some are good for their children but some are not. Most parents raise their kids the way their own parents raised them, whether it was good or bad. Some parents are too protective; they are hard to get along with. Laid back parents make teenager s lives simple and joyful because the parents are there to support their children when they need it, without questioning. Then there are the parents who do nothing in providing for their child, neglecting parents, which can result to teenagers getting into bad circumstances. Parents are supposed to support and nurture their children; but if they do not do it properly, there can be serious effects in their children s future. Having protective parents can make the life of teenagers difficult. Protective parents demand that their children obey them and that they follow rules. These parents mean their best but that is especially hard for teenagers to understand because adolescence is a time when changes happen; teenagers are starting to have their own opinions, which are probably opposite to their parents. It is hard for teenagers to make mistakes if they have protective parents because they always expect something good to come from their kids. Most of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Further, corporate arrogance, complacency, and company insular nature were evident (Parnell, 2014, p. 603). The Atlacatl was an elite armed force that specialized in counter insurgency combat and was training by the United States military. It received a mission known as OperacГon Rescate, which translates into Operation Rescue, that had a single goal of removing guerrilla fighters and its sympathizers in the area surrounding El Mozote. The fighters in this force accused the villagers of supporting FMLN and supplying them with food, arms, and people. This accusation eventually escalated to the torturing of certain members of the community and then the barbaric killing of close to a thousand people. The Atlacatl used various methods to murder and terrorize the people of El Mozote that included beheading, shooting, stabbing, and hanging. The armed forces separated the women and raped girls as young as 10 years old as well as gather the children into a room and slaughter them by stabbing or shooting them. At the end of the El Mozote Massacre, the families that were able to escape or that were out of town came back to a village full of carnage and their homes destroyed. The total death count is still debated until this day but it is estimated that the Salvadoran military murdered around a thousand people at El Mozote. My Field Experience At Bushwick United Head Start Program For my field experience, I had the opportunity to observe a four year old pre kindergarten classroom on November 5th and 12th at Bushwick United Head Start program. The school is located at 136 Stanhope street, Brooklyn, N.Y. Majority of the families the school serve are Hispanics, and as a result, the student body entails mostly ELL students. There are approximately 130 students enrolled in the program, and out of that 130, about 10% speaks English. The school uses an additive model of English Language to support both the student s home language and foster and support English language acquisition. The classrooms are staffed with teachers who speak the children s home language, who can apply some use of the home language within the classroom and providing hands on experiences for students. Additionally, to support students with disability, the school also partnered with United Community Services (UCS), a program that offers speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy to students. The school uses the evidence based Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum is aligned with Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC guidelines and the NY State Prekindergarten Common Core Standards. The classroom I observed consists of seventeen students, eight of which girls and nine are boys. • 38. Analysis Of Diving Into The Wreck By Adrienne Rich Is it possible for words on a page to become a painting in the mind? After plunging into Adrienne Rich s Diving into the Wreck, it is apparent that words on a page can come to life in the mind of the readers. Rich uses a vast amount of describing words, and a setting of a scuba diver to allow readers the ability to acknowledge and understand the difficulties life may imply upon humankind. Throughout the next few paragraphs, it is evident that certain elements of poems can become a large factor in allowing the reader to get more out of a poem, rather than just words on a page. In summary, Adrienne Rich gives the reader a depiction of a person dealing with one or even many difficult intricacies in life through the symbolization of scuba divingin a large body of water (Mays, 2014, p.581). Whether that be national issues, personal relationships, the death of those close by, or even more personal issues, the reader is able to relate with Rich s symbolization of a scuba diver getting ready for an intense journey through a large, dark body of water. Scuba diving into a shipwreckis an abstract way to relate the thoughts people bottle up inside their bodies into a larger, more meaningful picture, which allows the reader to understand how issues weigh on the mind. In addition, Rich doesn t just use simple words to create a symbolization, she precedes or follows those words with meaningful adjectives which help to create a clearer appearance for the reader to imagine. • 40. The Bacteria Escherichia Coli ( E. Coli ) Question 1 In the past scientist have used the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli) in Synthetic Biology to allow the bacterial species to recognise and respond to light frequencies providing greater knowledge of complex biological systems (Levskaya et al. 2005). E. coli is a suitable chassis to express Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) as the bacteria s plasmid helps to establish GFP (Chavshin et al. 2013). The bacterial plasmid is a maltose binding protein that helps E. coli and GFP fuse together and allows for detection of gene expression and controlling internal environments (Feilmeier et al. 2000). As GFP is a useful biological indicator due to its fluorescent structure (Mazzola et al. 2005) and through the ability of E. coli responding to light, GFP is easily expressed through the process of light stimulation (Lee, J et al. 2013). Through the unique structure and functions found within E. coli, it allows for successful expression of GFP making E. coli a suitable base organism. Question 2 Jellyfish (Aequorea victoria) naturally produce GFP (Zupen et al. 2004) allowing for extraction of the organisms genes and protein to engineer a bacteria that can produce GFP. Scientists are able to blind a bacterial species for example E. coli with GFP by cloning the genes found within jellyfish that produce Green Florescent Protein and insert it into a chosen bacterial species (Zupen et al. 2004). This epic tells the Biblical story of Adam and Eve, although from a different perspective than what most people usually see. Milton tells the story more through the eyes of Satan, whom most people usually consider the ultimate villain. The way in which Satan is portrayed in this story has caused speculation as to whether Satan is actually a hero in this situation. He certainly has heroic qualities throughout the story, yet still is ultimately responsible for Adam and Eves sin. Satan can easily be classified as a hero in this story, as well as the main antagonist, depending on the viewpoint of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The character of Satan in this story can also be related to other tragic heroes throughout history. He is a variant of Achilles, who equates honor with his own status...and feels slighted by his commander in chief, refuses his orders and believes himself superior. Both epics turn on the connection between a sense of injur d merit and the hero s wrath. He is Odysseus and Jason on their heroic voyages, leader and chief warrior in battle during and after the War in Heaven, and through it all the most powerful speaker, able to rally and organize his troops with the eloquence of his appeals to their own heroic values. (Forsyth 30). While many arguments can be made to defend Satan as the hero of this story, his power clearly declines throughout the poem. In the end, he does not achieve his goal. Satan is bitter, but also acknowledges the reality of his circumstances (Smith). We see Satan reach his peak, then his power gently declines by the end of the story. Although Satan is powerful and persevering, he is no match for God. We begin to see more of his flaws. Satan is undoubtedly charismatic and persuasive in his speeches, as well as a powerful military leader, yet he seems to be somewhat hypocritical as well. For example, when we are first introduced to Satan, he tells his followers not to be afraid, yet he is afraid himself. Additional scriptures in Timothy (1 Tim 2:3 4), Titus (Titus 2:11), 2 Peter (2 Peter 3:9) and 1 John (1 John 2:2) are examined. Most of the inclusive arguments revolve around the idea that God is obligated to make salvation available to all people. Nash skillfully dissects each point and shows a universal weakness to their thought. Each of these verses revolve around an inclusion of people outside of the Christian or Jewish perspective. The topic of municipalization might not seem at first glance like a vessel for heated scholarly debate; however, once one peels back the curtain, several lines of argument arise. Municipalization, in the classical sense, is the effective bringing into the fold of institutions and governments under the control of a larger body. The most pertinent aspects of Scott s study to the Tabula Heracleensis are censuses, standardization of weights and measurements, and the organization of trans regional transportation. These things are all mentioned in some form in the Tabula, and thus we must try and apply Scott s theory to it. Scott essentially believes that states cannot possibly understand the intricacies of social phenomena and any attempt at large scale standardization (or municipalization) is carried out through the coercive force of the state and will likely result in a negative social environment. This is shown best through the quote, Because local standards of measurement were tied to practical needs, because they reflected particular cropping patterns and agricultural technology, because they varied with climate and ecology, because they were an attribute of power and an instrument of asserting class privilege, and because they were at the center of bitter class struggle, they represented a mind boggling problem for statecraft. In a rather long winded way, Scott is asserting that governments often cannot account for the social, economic, and cultural methodologies that go in to a particular aspect of daily life. This will become key once applied to the Tabula. At the young age of seven, she is said to have dedicated her virginity to God and began living a strict life of discipline that included severe fasting and flagellating herself. When she was fifteen she decided to join The Third Order of St. Dominic in resistance to her parent s attempts to marry her off. In order to make herself unattractive to suitors she cut off all of her hair, and after a bout of smallpox she praised God for the scars left on her face. Around the age of twenty, after joining the convent, Catherine had her first mystical communion with Jesus Christ (Mystics, Visionaries, and Prophets, 209). This time marks a turning point in her life where she began to lessen her self harming practices and started to speak out openly against the injustices of the church. Kohlberg s Theory of Moral Development states that, moral reasoning, the basis for ethical behavior, has six identifiable developmental stages, each more adequate at responding to moral dilemmas than its predecessor. Kohlberg s principle concern was justice, or an Ethic of Rights, that would lead persons on a path to truth. Using his model, one can trace Catherine s moral development from her adolescence through her later life. Cantillon generalised the entrepreneurial function as a sizeable number of occupations that use business functions including production, exchange and distribution to other tasks of entrepreneurship (Hebert Link, 1989).
