My Wicked Wicked Ways Poem
My Wicked Wicked Ways is a simple poem if you read it quickly, but after reading every stanza and
analyzing it you feel the complexity of it, every line of every stanza adds a different taste to the poem,
completes the painting, and with the last stanza the poet puts its magical touches to it. I will start by
identifying the subject of the poem, and then like every poem I will discuss the meter of the poem,
with the rhyme schemes and any figurative language if the poet used them.
The poem starts with This is my father (Cisneros 1) which shows the poets connection with her father,
her past, her childhood See? He is young (Cisneros 2), while reading this stanza, you start to imagine
the poet holding a small, old and non colored picture of her as a child, defining every detail of her
father s looks He looks like Errol Flynn (Cisneros 3), Errol Flynn was a handsome actor, he was
known as a womanizer, which is what she thinks her father was, in the picture her father is wearing a
hat, that leans over one of his eyes, a well suited suit, and some tow toned shoes. Those shoes her
mother doesn t like, my mother hates (Cisneros 11), the writer used the word hates, which shows that
there was an argument about the shoes but it wasn t a big argument to mention.
The second stanza, the poet moves to talking about her mother Here is my mother. (Cisneros 12), but
doesn t identify her looks, or her cloths, rather than describing her as she is not crying She is not
crying.

Mink Stereotypes
Mink (Neovison vison) Introduction Mink (Neovison vison previously Mustela vison)(Ahola et al.,
2011) are semi aquatic carnivorous mammals (Heyen et. al., 2011). In the wild they are a solitary and
very territorial species some some aspects of their way of living in the wild have been replicated for
use in mink farming (Pedersen et al., 2003) for example breeding stock are housed individually
(Meagher et al., 2014) however juveniles may be housed in groups (Alumu et al., 2014), individually
(Pedersen et al., 2003) or more likely in male female pairs (Hänninen et al., 2008). Other aspects of
their natural habitats have been excluded from their farm habitats, such as access to a swimming area,
in the wild mink habitats are close to water since ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the year mink will be moved into other cages four to six times with their identities given by
cards attached to their cages that are moved with them (Meagher et al., 2014). As they are solitary and
territorial creatures, breeding stock are housed individually and brought together for mating in
February/March, then pregnant females are moved into whelping pens just before giving birth in
April/May (Meagher et al., 2014). After birth the juveniles live with their mothers for approximately
two months before being weaned (Meagher et al., 2014) then after weaning the juvenile mink are kept
in male female pairs until they are approximately six months old (Hänninen et al., 2008). Then some
mink are selected to be used as breeding stock and are housed individually while the rest are killed for
their pelts (Meagher et al., 2014). Another form of housing that is becoming increasingly more
common for juvenile mink is group housing as it decreases the cost of housing the mink by increasing
the stocking density (Alumu et al., 2014) and group housed juveniles may be less stressed than pair
housed juveniles and they show

The Role Of Animal Burial In Ancient Egypt
Man s Best Friends It s a Western idea that a dog is a man s best friend. Yet, when our canine
companions get sick, or hurt, or inevitably grow old and they die, what happens? If Spot was lucky, he
might get buried in the back yard inside an old shoebox or crate, wrapped in an old towel or blanket,
with some dirt thrown on him. Before long his shallow grave will be overgrown by grass and
dandelions and prickles. All it will take is one quick swipe of a lawnmower and any trace of your
beloved pet will be gone forever. As much as we love our pets and rely on domesticated animals for
food and for other goods, they are essentially disposable. We are a society that flushes our dead
goldfish down the drain. Not so in Egypt.
While the ancient Egyptians exploited a variety of animals, the animal kingdom was closely integrated
into their culture, especially when it came to their funerary practices. There is evidence of ritualized
animal burial from Predynastic times onward. At the graveyard in Heliopolis dogs and goats were
buried in a nearly 1:4 ratio to human beings. Although in few numbers, evidence of animal burial was
also found in Maadi and Wadi Digla. In all three cases, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The great Egyptian tombs were filled with all sorts of goods, everything an Egyptian pharaoh or
aristocrat could ever need in the afterlife: food, drink, clothing, tools. These sites also contained tombs
for their servants, so that they would continue to serve their master even in death. Following this line
of thought, it is plausible that the ancient Egyptian wanted to make sure they had access to their
animals in the afterlife. Cattle to plow fields and provide milk, oxen to pull heavy loads such as the
sarcophagus as well as fish and birds to hunt. As previously stated, many of these animals were found
with their own pottery and grave goods. Clearly the ancients wanted their animals to be cared for in

Mesopotamia
Early civilizations from Mesopotamia to Egypt were established primarily because of the shift from
hunting and gathering to agricultural means of acquiring food. This change meant that not everyone in
a population was necessary for the group s survival and therefore, some members had free time . This
extra time allowed for advances in religion, writing, and politics, three key features of civilization. By
studying these advances, we can better learn how civilization originally looked and we can examine
the effects of their advances in today s society. With this new spare time usually allocated for hunting
and gathering, early people logically looked for reasons to explain the nature of things. These
explanations initiated the earliest forms of religion a prominent feature in the basis of both
Mesopotamian and Egyptian life.1 Mesopotamians created and actively worshiped hundreds of gods,
many of which explained different phenomena and could control how the forces of nature affected
people. The Mesopotamians, therefore, found their purpose in serving the will of the gods.2 Egyptians

wrote hieroglyphics on the inside of pyramid walls.4 These two writing styles both proved very
important to early human civilization, if not for their own reasons. Mesopotamians used their writing
knowledge as archivists, secretaries, or accountants. 5 The hieroglyphics of the Egyptians contained
fragments from myths, historical annals, and magical lore and provided spells to assist the king in
ascending to heaven. 6 Even with the differing uses, the practical applications of the Mesopotamians
compared to the more spiritual applications of the Egyptians, writing still is a common

How Americans Actually Feel about Stronger Gun Laws, by Mark Berman talks about the issues of
gun control and how the American people feel on if we should control guns after these recent gun
shootings. The American people support gun control in the specific concerns of having background
checks for all gun sales, banning sales for people that have mental illnesses, having the federal
government track gun sales through out the country, and banning all assault firearms. According to the
fifth paragraph 85% of the population supports background checks for all guns sales, 79% of the
country is in favor for a bill to ban the mentally ill from purchasing firearms, and 70% would like to

Problem of Congestion in Cellular Network

College of Science Department
Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA.
Abstract In the next few years there will be an exponential grow in mobile data traffic due to the
tremendous growth in mobile data like audio, video kind of different multimedia application. Cellular
network operators invest huge amount to make their infrastructure better like installing new cell tower
and offloading data traffic from cellular to the Wi Fi so that they can efficiently prevent congestion.
We all have observed call drops during the conversation at some time which is very annoying and so
this congestion problem gives hard time to customer and so the service provider too. In this project, I
want to research what are the main reason for the congestion of the cellular network and how it can be
avoided or minimized.
Index Terms Mobile, CAGR, Cisco, Congestion
I. INTRODUCTION
Congestion of networks is a network state where a node of link carries huge amount of data that may
deteriorate network service quality, resulting in queuing delay, frame or data packet loss and the
blocking of new connections. There could be a possible reason for a congestion like insufficient
bandwidth, when network data exceeds its capacity.
Wireless mobile network is independent?
When we think of a cellular network it is not a completely wireless network. No one has completely
independent wireless network.

The Man Behind the Lines Essay
A man of innovation, style, and creator of labyrinthine masterpieces in all media, Alphonse Mucha is
often named the greatest and most influential Czech artists. As one of the fathers of Art Nouveau,
Mucha developed a reputation with his posters, architecture, jewelry and sculpture that had never been
seen before; a complex weaving of lines and pastel colors featuring voluptuous women and a harmony
that can only be described as: Mucha style. His graphic designs and posters often hold the limelight of
Mucha s ability, but the complexity of his imagination and inspiration show another deep dimension
behind the man, his visions, and his beliefs in art, as well as the world. To begin to know the artist, one

He set out to create his own destiny in Vienna building sets for the plays and remained with the
theatre, despite the rollercoaster of hardships and opportunity that proceeded. In 1887, he moved to
Paris from the generosity of Count KhuenBalasi, to study and begin his journey in true art. During this
time Paris was at the beginning of its state of economic recovery from the Franco Prussian war, so the
nation was flourishing and rebuilding with a vibrant optimistic outlook (Mucha S, 11.) Paris,
following the industrial revolution led by Britain, began constructing new inventions, vehicles, and
processes. A prolific example is the monumental building of the Eiffel Tower for the World s Fair. The
world of art was responding to this new boom of wrenches and gears with: Art Nouveau, a highly
stylized and decorative art, framing the importance of organic, botanical, and true form of the objects.
So while the world focused on exact and complicated features, the artists in Paris were simplifying,
making decadence, and flow emerge out of their art. The one who had the most harmony, intensity and
influence in Paris was Mucha. Mucha was fascinated with another Fin de siècle Parisian movement:
allure to the occult or spiritualism. The followers derived their belief in a World Soul from a mash up
of religions including: Buddhism, Jewish Kabala, Brahmanism, Christian mysticism, and

White Privilege as it Pertains to White and Minority College Students
My (black) Caribbean students, as a whole, tend to perform much better than my African American
students. Well, consider it over the years, and particularly during slavery, the best and brightest blacks
in this country were weeded out. I don t believe that blacks are naturally inferior to whites, however,
American blacks are the unfortunate end product of an enforced breeding process that has left them at
a mental disadvantage.

Yet, she rolls her eyes at the rough English spoken by one African American student and glosses over
the hesitant comments of others. It would seem, by the students tacit and silent acceptance of her
behavior, that this is de rigueur, par for the course.
These days, a college degree serves as one of the few tickets into a socially and economically
comfortable lifestyle. College itself, ideally, should vastly increase the knowledge, skills, and capacity
for critical thinking in its students. However, in this racially imbalanced society, college is the
culmination of a white weighted education, and often ignores its own participation in long standing
racial injustices and inequities. Minority students are expected to jump headlong into white standards
of behavior, without regard for the unique circumstances that render that expectation difficult, if not
impossible, to meet.
My schooling gave me no training in seeing myself as an oppressor, as an unfairly advantaged person,
or as a participant in a damaged culture. I was taught to see myself as an individual whose moral state
depended on her individual moral will. My schooling followed the pattern my colleague Elizabeth
Minnich has pointed out: whites are taught to think of their lives as morally neutral, normative, and
average, and also ideal, so that when we work to benefit others, this is seen as work

You may have heard about superfoods. You may even know superfoods can be good for you.
But do you know why?
Superfoods provide a host of benefits to help us live longer, healthier lives. They are high in
phytonutrients, chemicals that occur naturally in food. They protect against cancer, diabetes, heart
disease and hypertension and may also boost your immune function and perhaps lower your risk for
infection.
Since they are available at local supermarkets, easy to grow in a garden, and found at many
restaurants, superfoods can easily be added to your daily diet.
Here are 10 superfoods that offer a good start to a balanced diet for women:
Green leafy vegetables
These are one of nature s best sources of folate
a B vitamin that prevents birth defects, heart disease, dementia and colon cancer (the third most
common cause of cancer in women). Folate also prevents vision loss and protects skin and bones.
Another compound, called lutein, which is found in green leafy vegetables, helps prevent macular
degeneration, a leading cause of age related vision loss. Lutein also can help prevent cataracts and it
helps protect your skin from the damaging effects of sun exposure. It appears lutein protects the fats in
the top layer of skin, preventing dehydration, roughness and possibly even wrinkles. Green leafy
vegetables also are an excellent source of vitamin K, a nutrient essential for bone development. Dairy

course of both movies, both main characters, Conan and Max, follow the path of a Hero s Journey.
The Hero s Journey is a common pattern that the majority of hero stories and myths include, it can be

The Hero s Journey 1). There are many elements that make up this pattern, including the ordinary

out in countless ways, for example, he does not wear much clothing like other people in the movie.
Besides standing out because of his clothing, he also stands out because of his physical strength. At
the same time, Max stands out in a different way. Max just wants to obtain the gas and go about his

Left Ventricular Assist Devices Essay
Introduction
Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs) have increased durability and patient survival on the people
who live with heart failure. These devices are mechanical pumps which can work as a bridge to
transplantation or as destination therapy to help the heart to follow its tasks properly. Asgari and
Bonde [1] presented a new totally implantable physiologic left ventricular assist device system in
pulsatile and continuous modes using wireless networks. The authors [1] have proposed a great
contribution to use wireless powering, monitor, communication and control in the field of implantable
control of ventricular assist devices. However, many issues will appear in the result of the proposed
system which needs more investigations in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To investigate the feasibility and implantability of the proposed methodology, the authors tested
physiologic controller in two large female pigs in vivo experiments. The results showed that the
suggested controller (UMC Physio), consumes less power compared with the HeartMate II (axial
pump) controller and HeartWare (centrifugal pump) ventricular assist device controller.
Critique
The system presented wireless network for monitor, communication, control and powering of the left
ventricular assist device systems which is a novel and significant research for LVADs implantation [1].
However, if there are not internet access and wireless network (via smartphone) at the same time due
to malfunction in antenna or network, limitation in range and other issues, the proposed system will
fail to monitor and control the LVAD in patients, and therefore it will result in dangerous conditions or
death.
Wireless connections have harmful effects on the health of people and especially on blood, the heart,
and the autonomic nervous system when the radiation is continuous and long term [2]. Therefore, it is
recommended to reduce electrosmog exposure and prevent wireless networks for communication,
monitor, control and powering of the LVADs.
Although the main aim of the research published by Asgari and Bonde was to propose a wireless
method for LVAD systems, it is not acceptable that the author did not compare proposed controller
with the other famous methods such as preload based

The Findings Partners in the 21st Century is a study created by Dr. Ron Rogge, who is a relationship
expert psychologist. He does plenty of research on individual factors, health factors/behaviors, and
couples behavior (Rogge). The overall concept of this study was to explain what individuals seek for
in their relationships with another person. The study was completed online that consisted of questions
that ranged from personality questions that included one s gender, personality background, romantic
and sexual partners, drug and alcohol use, and sexually transmitted infections, etc. (Rogge). However,
the key part of the survey was to explain whether an individual is single or in a relationship. For
instance, if someone was single, in a relationship, engaged, or married etc. Based on answering that
question, the upcoming questions would have changed to other directions dependent on the answers.
The importance of answering the questions correctly played a role in the follow up questions because
it allows the user doing the study to pick what the user is looking for. For example, I selected I am
single and questions indicated if I use geo social apps to meet people. When someone selected single,
the survey began to dive into what the person wanted in a relationship. The questions contained many
different variations, including if one uses the survey to satisfy their sexual curiosity, experience new
people, have nothing better to do, or it s exciting. However, another

Examples Of Internal Conflict In Macbeth
In Shakespeare s play Macbeth, internal conflict is used to examine Macbeth s character. As Macbeth
struggles with his own sense of self and is urged by his vaulting ambition to be king, Macbeth finds
himself easily influenced by the witches and his wife, and in situations where he cannot ponder on his
past actions. Macbeth s inner confusion is used by Shakespeare to explore the tragic consequences of
Macbeth s vaulting ambition. Macbeth fights with his inner self about the decisions he makes towards
his ambitions. These decisions were often influenced by Lady Macbeth and bring on hallucinations for
Macbeth. His decisions were made to ensure his place on the throne and that he needed to keep

My thought, whose murder yet is but fantastical, shakes so my single state of man, this alliteration is
used by Macbeth as he considers killing King Duncan, and it lets the audience know of Macbeth s fear
towards the murder. Macbeth questions his sense of self and loyalty while making his decision. Lady
Macbeth does not agree with Macbeth s refusal to kill King Duncan and influences his choice by
questioning his manhood with the use of a rhetorical question, Art thou afead to be the same in thine
own act and valour as thou art in desire? This gives the audience knowledge of Lady Macbeth s
attitude towards the murder and gets the audience thinking about why Macbeth chose not to kill the
King. Once hearing this question from Lady Macbeth, Macbeth rethinks his decision and ambition
finally drives Macbeth into killing King Duncan. The metaphor, to prick the sides of my intent but

ambition and that he makes his decisions to benefit his power. The inner conflict experienced by
Macbeth when making the decision to kill King Duncan changed his sense of self and his loyalty

Glen Grant Distillery Research Paper
The history of the Glen Grant Distillery starts all the way back in 1820 when the men of the Grant
Clan raided nearby Elgin to free their chief and his family. The Raid on Elgin is the last Scottish revolt
in history. The leader of this revolt, James Grant, and his brother John, ran an unlicensed and illegal
distillery for nearly 20 years when in 1840 they decided to embark on making their dream of creating
a world famous single malt whisky into reality by applying for a license. The site of the Glen Grant
Distillery, in Speyside in the Scottish Highlands, was deemed ideal to make this happen, with the
nearby port of Garmouth, fields of barley surrounding it, and the River Spey to the south. After the
death of both the Grant brothers in 1872, James Grant s son, also called James, inherited the distillery
and took over it s running. Known as a bit of a maverick, he went by the nickname of The Major and
was fascinated by new ideas he was also not afraid to put them into practice. He introduced electric
lighting to the distillery, as well as slender tall stills and purifiers which gave the Glen Grant whisky it
s famous malty flavour and clear colour which it still has today. ... Show more content on

Thesis: Drug abuse, also known as substance abuse, is a patterned use of a drug in which the user
consumes the substance in amounts or with methods which are harmful to themselves or others. Many
teens turn to marijuana, prescription drugs, club drugs, alcohol, or other substances as a means of
coping with stress, peer influence, and failure of parents to prevent their children from making

The Differences Of Fake News And The Media In The Media
Recently, there has been much fake news and unreliable sources online. The term fake news, as
President Trump believes, is any story that damages the reputation of a certain group, but the most
commonly used definition of fake news is any report or article based on lies. As for unreliable sources,
these are sources that cannot be trusted because the authors do not have the through knowledge or
credentials to discuss the topic they are writing about. The main difference between fake news and
unreliable sources is that fake news is stories that are untrue; however, for unreliable sources, the
articles written might not be necessarily false, but the people who write the stories are not certified to
write about the topic.
In addition, bias has always played a large role in the media. Media bias occurs when a source reports
a news story or article in a prejudiced manner. Yet, whether the source is more conservative or liberal,
this bias does not make the source is any less reliable because there will always be bias in the media.
For example, The New York Times has a more liberal approach when writing its stories, but this does
not mean this is an unreliable source. If the news The New York Times gives are factual and are
written by certified people, it is still a reliable source. Nevertheless, there are unbiased sources in the
media, too. When I say unbiased, I mean news sources that show no prejudice for or against a topic.
This means news sources such as ABC, BBC, USA Today,

They will check various security features to ensure the ballot paper is genuine, count the number of
ballot papers being fed through and record how each vote has been cast. If the counting machine
cannot read a valid vote on a ballot paper, it will store the image as a doubtful ballot paper . All
doubtful ballot papers will be referred to adjudication on screen by the Returning Officer s staff. If the
counting machine rejects the ballot paper altogether, e.g. because it is too badly damaged, it will be
placed in a separate folder by the scanner operator for the Returning Officer s staff to input it into the
system. The third stage: verification Count centre staff check that the number of ballot papers scanned
in each batch matches the number of ballot papers cast at the polling station. This process is known as
verification , and helps ensure the integrity of the election. If there are any variances, the batch is
placed on hold for a senior member of staff to investigate the discrepancy. A batch can be re scanned if
necessary. Re scanning does not double count the votes only the latest image of a ballot paper that has

Malcolm Gladwell s Power Of Context
For the most part humans are all born in the same fashion, they have opposable thumbs, a pair of
hands, a pair of legs, a brain, and a heart. Looks can be deceiving however, not all infants are created
equal. Statistically speaking, the overwhelming majority of the seven billion humans on earth will
pass away as a member of the same socioeconomic class they began. In fact, society predicates itself
on living a better life than their family who came before. Society takes part in a never ending race to
further itself on a socioeconomic level from the generation before knowing full well that the majority
will not achieve such goal. That in itself is a testament to how difficult the task of altering identity is.
Malcolm Gladwell s Power of Context echoes many of the same progressive principles preached in
the early twentieth century, he believes external factors such as the aspects of environment are the
greatest determinants of identity. Barbara Fredrickson argues in her book Love 2.0, that change comes
from within. Frederickson believes that biochemical alterations of the human body can occur by
increasing loving potential (119). An increase of such potential has a profoundly positive impact on
human health . As nice as it may sound Fredrickson s theory leaves her readers with far more
questions than answers and in fact plays more into the hands of Gladwell s power of context .
Fredrickson offers vague descriptions and uses contradictory language in regards to

Application Of Concept Analysis For Clinical Practice
Application of concept analysis to clinical practice
The concept has been defined as symbolic statement describing a phenomena or class of phenomena
(Kim, 2000,p.15). It can be theoretical or non theoretical like hope, love and desire or body
temperature, pain (McEwen Willis, 2011) the words like grief, empathy, power, job satisfaction or a
phrase like health promoting behaviors or maternal attachment. Concept analysis mentions to the
laborious process of bringing clarity to the definition of the concept used in science (McEwen Willis,
p, 51). According to McEwen (2011), the purpose of the concept analysis is to clarify, recognize, and
define concepts that describe phenomena.
Method of analysis
There are several methods of analyzing the concepts. The purpose of concept analysis is to help the
nurses to identify the trends and development in patient care. In depth analysis of these trends and
developments helps to formulate measures to provide holistic patient care ( Grand canyon university
2013). Walker and Avant introduced the process of concept analysis in nursing in 1983.Walker and
Avant (2005). They are concept analysis; concept synthesis and concept derivation explained three
different processes to analyze the concept in nursing. According to McEwen (2011) Walker and Avant
use concept analysis to clarify meanings of terms and define concepts with an expected outcome of
readers and writers communicating in a common language. The Walker and Avant s method used in

Analysis On Cradle And Michael Braungart
In Cradle to Cradle by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, the two authors take into great
detail by explaining the cradle to grave manufacturing system. The system explains every step of a
product s life from the creation to the disposal of the product. It is important to learn about this system
because in order for a company to track and take responsibility of their hazardous waste . The system
itself explained where products are created and the mass production goes into this system without
enough consideration to human health and the environment. McDonough and Braungart promote for a
new framework where companies take into consideration on every step of a product s lifestyle. In the
authors observations that human industry should co exist with nature by designing products that are in
a way non toxic, biodegradable, or recyclable without loss of material quality. With this in mind, a
common type of consumer product such as a plastic bottle that could be redesigned to be healthier for
humans, environmental friendly, and create less pollution towards our planet. The two ways that
plastic bottles can become more intelligently designed is by changing how plastic bottles are
manufactured in these industries and removing chemical ingredients that are harmful to human and
environmental health.
Before I get into explaining about the system, cradle to cradle I would like to give some history of
how plastic bottles came to be:

Analysis Of The Fable The Fox And The Grapes
The Admirations and Challenges of hopes, goals, and pride There are two kinds of pride, both good
and bad. Good pride represents our dignity and self respect. Bad pride is the deadly sin of superiority
that reeks of conceit and arrogance (Maxwell). In the Fable, The fox and the grapes Aesop writes
about a fox who ventures out into a vineyard full of grapes, unable to obtain the grapes the fox walks
away, however not without saying his last and final words. Aesop employs determination of the fox,
the significant location of the grapes, and belligerent attitude of the fox to portray the theme of pride.
Naturally, when individuals or animals are keen, they will discover a path to get nutrition. In the
Fable, the fox comes along a vineyard where there are delicious clusters of ripe grapes, his lip starts to
relish for the grapes (Aesop 275). Indeed, the ideas that cause individuals to savory does not
constantly have to be food. It could be wanting a job placement that offers more tax income than the
current job individuals are operating with. Eager to purchase a new home with more room for a larger
family. For scholars who may desire to get all A s while in school, or just simply pass a really difficult
year. There is nothing wrong with having goals and determination in life. It is entirely on how one
goes forth with those goals, and the considerable amount of time and energy it takes to get there.
Consequently, in order to obtain those goals, one may induce forth the

Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response
Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response
Introduction
According to McEwen and Wills, concepts in the nursing profession are words that describe a variable
of nursing practice (2014, pg. 50). Concepts, once defined, are used in research to test hypotheses that
will increase knowledge and theory development. However, concept definitions change with time and
context. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly and succinctly define concepts within an analysis for
a meaningful application.
Mentoring in nursing practice has been thought of as a beneficial way of increasing nursing
knowledge for several decades (Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 311). However, the concept of mentoring
had not been defined or analyzed, which made researching its effectiveness useless. This concept
analysis of mentoring in nursing practice shows that mentoring can be mutually beneficial for a
mentor, protégé, and nursing practice. However, further research on this concept is necessary to
determine the broader application to nursing as a scientific discipline.
Method of Analysis
In the concept analysis of mentoring, Stewart and Krueger used the evolutionary method by Rodgers
(Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 312). This method involves multiple steps of analysis that are often
occurring concurrently rather than completing a step after one is completed. The benefit of this
method is that it has clear phases in the analytical process but is time efficient because steps are
occurring at the same time. It also

Hannibal Barca Made The Correct Decision By Not Directly...
THESIS STATEMENT Although he was questioned and is criticized, Hannibal Barca made the
correct decision by not directly attacking the city of Rome. A commander under Hannibal, Marhabal,
was greatly mistaken when he openly attacked Hannibal s decision to refrain from attacking Rome.
PURPOSE STATEMENT Through research and analysis of historical events, it is apparent that a
direct attack on the city of Rome would have been ultimately futile, and quite possibly self
destructive. INTRODUCTION In 216 BC at the hilltop village of Cannae, in Apulia the Roman army
stood to fight Hannibal and suffered the greatest losses in a single day in Roman history. As the sun
rose the next day it shone on the bodies of the Romans who had been so cleverly trapped and
slaughtered. Not far from there, Marhabal, a cavalry commander under Hannibal, tells Hannibal that
in five days he shall dine as victor on the Capitol hill . Marhabal s prediction was not just hyperbolic,
but it was ludicrous. Not only would it have taken much longer than five days to reach and capture
Rome, but Hannibal and his army had no means to even attempt it. Hannibal understood this and when
he denied Marhabal s proposal, Marhabal responded, [y]ou know how to win a victory, but not how to
use one . Hannibal did know how to use a victory. He knew that there was no way he could capture the
city of Rome. Hannibal had neither the manpower nor the resources to enact a full scale attack or siege
on Rome, and too few

Addressing a chronic wound requires a myriad of individuals, each with their own unique knowledge,
and expertise, to contribute to complete wound healing. (1) This collaboration goes against the
discipline based training instilled in schools and requires establishments to further investigate the
collaboration paradigm. (2) In order for interdisciplinary teams to work effectively, elements such as
trust, respect, adaptability, openness, and communication need to be effective. (1,3) In the team link

Caregivers are trained to provide aseptic wound care, patients are closely monitored compared to their
own home setting, and physicians are always nearby to reassess wounds as needed. So where do these
infections come from? Literature reviews have opened the gateway to further questions and
investigations in order to answer this question. Comparing multiple studies listed in table 1, there are
still many unanswered questions as to where infections originate. Most studies are looking into
various prevention methods and the organisms present postoperatively, but do not address the question
of why these infections are occurring. Strengths and weaknesses in all studies show that one needs to
evaluate the studies carefully before consideration for implementation as

The Consequences Of Drug Abuse And Addiction
Drug abuse and addiction are controversial topics in modern society. In general, drug abuse leads to
drug addiction. Drug abuse can be defined as the overuse of drugs along with the process of
undergoing efforts to obtain drugs in an (usually) illegal manner, whereas drug addiction is the
inability to live without said drug and engaging in any attempts necessary to obtain them. Addicted
individuals engage in drug abuse. The two concepts tend to go together, ruining relationships by
becoming the most important thing in the life of someone afflicted with this disease. Most people who
find themselves addicted to drugs often seek treatment but end up procrastinating any options to do so
and ultimately remain in this harmful cycle.
To determine if an individual is abusing drugs, it is important to compare the person s previous
behavior with their current behavior. This can be difficult as many addicts tend to distance themselves
from their friends and families early on to the point where anyone close to them may not be able to
notice a significant change. It could also be useful to track an individual s history at pharmacies to
check for possible prescription drug abuse and at convenience stores to check for possible alcohol and
cigarette purchases. Quantifying a concept such as drug abuse is difficult but not impossible. One
potential quantification method could occur via the administration of a survey regarding respondents
feelings about specific drugs as well as their

Simulation-Based Nursing Education Is An Increasingly Popular
Simulation based nursing education is an increasingly popular academic approach. Structured
facilitated debriefing is an important strategy to engage students in learning and is essential in
simulation training. Further research is warranted to fully understand the impact of the method in
nurse education. It provides students with opportunities to practice their clinical and decision making
skills through various real life situational experiences. However, simulation approaches fall along a
scale ranging from low fidelity to high fidelity simulation. Debriefing approaches connected with the
simulation in the healthcare field aim to improve the performance, learning experience, and patient

It s a known fact that that the Vietnam War was fought by young American soldiers that bled and died
next to one another in the jungles of Vietnam. With many wins and loses throughout the war there
were over 58,000 American casualties by wars end. The movie, We Were Soldiers focuses on the role
of the United State s 7th Calvary Regiment in the Battle of Ia Drang, which was the first large unit
battle of the Vietnam War. Lt. Col. Hal Moore commanded the 7th Calvary Regiment that landed a
helicopter in an area named X Ray located in the Ia Drang Valley of Vietnam. LT. Col. Moore found

The production team also made sure the weapons and vehicles were historically correct as well. To
me, those are two of the things I would notice when it comes to viewing historically re enacted war
movies. I have seen too many movies where the weapons or vehicles that are from the wrong era ruin
the movie and therefore destroying its historic value. However, in this movie, the production team
hired a company called Cinema Weaponry who furnished and restored some 250 weapons for the Air
Calvary soldiers including M 79 40mm grenade launchers, M 60 machine guns, 45 calibur pistols and
M 16E1 assault rifles. The Vietnamese used anything from French and Russian surplus rifles including
the MAT 49 submachine gun and PPS 43 rifles. Since few actual AK 47 were around, they made
custom replicas of the Ak 47s. Over all, the costume and prop departments for this movie did an
extraordinary job to simulate and recreate the Battle of Ia Drang in 1965.
One of the few differences I could find that historically never happened in the real Battle of the Ia
Drang, but happened in the final battle scene of the film, was Lt. Col. Moore s bayonet charge into the
oncoming North Vietnamese. According to the book, We Were

Melanie Green s Recovery Case Study
According to the introduction of LeCory and Hoschuh (2012), there are eight core themes that emerge
in first person accounts on their road to recovery, some of these themes coincide with the personal
accounts of the women who were coping with their BPD. The themes of recovery that are most
prominent in these cases are the reawakening of hope after despair, finding a purpose and actively
participating in life, while also moving past viewing themselves as their psychiatric disorder. Once
again, the theme of the journey to recovery is complex and nonlinear is explored, as well as the theme
of recovery is not accomplished alone, but with support and partnerships in one s life. (LeCroy

Green herself was misjudged with the stigma of just doing it for attention (Green, 2005) by a
psychiatrist in regards to her self injuring tendencies, however, she found a supportive nurse
practitioner who understood her mental disorder and found her a medication regimen that helped her
to manage her symptoms and allowed her to function. Having someone who understands BPD beyond
its stigma shows to be very beneficial to the recovery process, especially in seeking help, Green also
mentioned she found another woman who was going through the feelings she was experiencing, they
helped each other in crisis and were there for each other, even to the day she wrote her piece (Green,
2005). Finally, Green mentions the significant role her family played in her recovery, how her mother
researched everything about her mental illness, the details of her daughter s diagnosis and her
medication (2005). Furthermore, the rest of Green s family was said to have done everything they
could to stand by her and encouraged her to regain her strength (Green, 2005). She expresses her
sentiment towards her family s support, writing I never understood the value of family until I saw

  • 2. My Wicked Wicked Ways Poem My Wicked Wicked Ways is a simple poem if you read it quickly, but after reading every stanza and analyzing it you feel the complexity of it, every line of every stanza adds a different taste to the poem, completes the painting, and with the last stanza the poet puts its magical touches to it. I will start by identifying the subject of the poem, and then like every poem I will discuss the meter of the poem, with the rhyme schemes and any figurative language if the poet used them. The poem starts with This is my father (Cisneros 1) which shows the poets connection with her father, her past, her childhood See? He is young (Cisneros 2), while reading this stanza, you start to imagine the poet holding a small, old and non colored picture of her as a child, defining every detail of her father s looks He looks like Errol Flynn (Cisneros 3), Errol Flynn was a handsome actor, he was known as a womanizer, which is what she thinks her father was, in the picture her father is wearing a hat, that leans over one of his eyes, a well suited suit, and some tow toned shoes. Those shoes her mother doesn t like, my mother hates (Cisneros 11), the writer used the word hates, which shows that there was an argument about the shoes but it wasn t a big argument to mention. The second stanza, the poet moves to talking about her mother Here is my mother. (Cisneros 12), but doesn t identify her looks, or her cloths, rather than describing her as she is not crying She is not crying. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the wild they are a solitary and very territorial species some some aspects of their way of living in the wild have been replicated for use in mink farming (Pedersen et al., 2003) for example breeding stock are housed individually (Meagher et al., 2014) however juveniles may be housed in groups (Alumu et al., 2014), individually (Pedersen et al., 2003) or more likely in male female pairs (Hänninen et al., 2008). Other aspects of their natural habitats have been excluded from their farm habitats, such as access to a swimming area, in the wild mink habitats are close to water since ... During the year mink will be moved into other cages four to six times with their identities given by cards attached to their cages that are moved with them (Meagher et al., 2014). As they are solitary and territorial creatures, breeding stock are housed individually and brought together for mating in February/March, then pregnant females are moved into whelping pens just before giving birth in April/May (Meagher et al., 2014). After birth the juveniles live with their mothers for approximately two months before being weaned (Meagher et al., 2014) then after weaning the juvenile mink are kept in male female pairs until they are approximately six months old (Hänninen et al., 2008). Then some mink are selected to be used as breeding stock and are housed individually while the rest are killed for their pelts (Meagher et al., 2014). Another form of housing that is becoming increasingly more common for juvenile mink is group housing as it decreases the cost of housing the mink by increasing the stocking density (Alumu et al., 2014) and group housed juveniles may be less stressed than pair housed juveniles and they show ... • 6. The Role Of Animal Burial In Ancient Egypt Man s Best Friends It s a Western idea that a dog is a man s best friend. Yet, when our canine companions get sick, or hurt, or inevitably grow old and they die, what happens? If Spot was lucky, he might get buried in the back yard inside an old shoebox or crate, wrapped in an old towel or blanket, with some dirt thrown on him. Before long his shallow grave will be overgrown by grass and dandelions and prickles. All it will take is one quick swipe of a lawnmower and any trace of your beloved pet will be gone forever. As much as we love our pets and rely on domesticated animals for food and for other goods, they are essentially disposable. We are a society that flushes our dead goldfish down the drain. Not so in Egypt. While the ancient Egyptians exploited a variety of animals, the animal kingdom was closely integrated into their culture, especially when it came to their funerary practices. There is evidence of ritualized animal burial from Predynastic times onward. At the graveyard in Heliopolis dogs and goats were buried in a nearly 1:4 ratio to human beings. Although in few numbers, evidence of animal burial was also found in Maadi and Wadi Digla. In all three cases, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The great Egyptian tombs were filled with all sorts of goods, everything an Egyptian pharaoh or aristocrat could ever need in the afterlife: food, drink, clothing, tools. These sites also contained tombs for their servants, so that they would continue to serve their master even in death. Following this line of thought, it is plausible that the ancient Egyptian wanted to make sure they had access to their animals in the afterlife. Cattle to plow fields and provide milk, oxen to pull heavy loads such as the sarcophagus as well as fish and birds to hunt. As previously stated, many of these animals were found with their own pottery and grave goods. Clearly the ancients wanted their animals to be cared for in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Mesopotamia Early civilizations from Mesopotamia to Egypt were established primarily because of the shift from hunting and gathering to agricultural means of acquiring food. This change meant that not everyone in a population was necessary for the group s survival and therefore, some members had free time . This extra time allowed for advances in religion, writing, and politics, three key features of civilization. By studying these advances, we can better learn how civilization originally looked and we can examine the effects of their advances in today s society. With this new spare time usually allocated for hunting and gathering, early people logically looked for reasons to explain the nature of things. These explanations initiated the earliest forms of religion a prominent feature in the basis of both Mesopotamian and Egyptian life.1 Mesopotamians created and actively worshiped hundreds of gods, many of which explained different phenomena and could control how the forces of nature affected people. Problem Of Congestion Of Cellular Network Essay  Problem of Congestion in Cellular Network Shiva Nageswara Rao Bandereddy (sbandere@hawk.iit.edu) College of Science Department Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA. Abstract In the next few years there will be an exponential grow in mobile data traffic due to the tremendous growth in mobile data like audio, video kind of different multimedia application. Cellular network operators invest huge amount to make their infrastructure better like installing new cell tower and offloading data traffic from cellular to the Wi Fi so that they can efficiently prevent congestion. We all have observed call drops during the conversation at some time which is very annoying and so this congestion problem gives hard time to customer and so the service provider too. In this project, I want to research what are the main reason for the congestion of the cellular network and how it can be avoided or minimized. Index Terms Mobile, CAGR, Cisco, Congestion I. INTRODUCTION Congestion of networks is a network state where a node of link carries huge amount of data that may deteriorate network service quality, resulting in queuing delay, frame or data packet loss and the blocking of new connections. There could be a possible reason for a congestion like insufficient bandwidth, when network data exceeds its capacity. Wireless mobile network is independent? The Man Behind the Lines Essay A man of innovation, style, and creator of labyrinthine masterpieces in all media, Alphonse Mucha is often named the greatest and most influential Czech artists. As one of the fathers of Art Nouveau, Mucha developed a reputation with his posters, architecture, jewelry and sculpture that had never been seen before; a complex weaving of lines and pastel colors featuring voluptuous women and a harmony that can only be described as: Mucha style. His graphic designs and posters often hold the limelight of Mucha s ability, but the complexity of his imagination and inspiration show another deep dimension behind the man, his visions, and his beliefs in art, as well as the world. He set out to create his own destiny in Vienna building sets for the plays and remained with the theatre, despite the rollercoaster of hardships and opportunity that proceeded. In 1887, he moved to Paris from the generosity of Count KhuenBalasi, to study and begin his journey in true art. During this time Paris was at the beginning of its state of economic recovery from the Franco Prussian war, so the nation was flourishing and rebuilding with a vibrant optimistic outlook (Mucha S, 11.) Paris, following the industrial revolution led by Britain, began constructing new inventions, vehicles, and processes. A prolific example is the monumental building of the Eiffel Tower for the World s Fair. The world of art was responding to this new boom of wrenches and gears with: Art Nouveau, a highly stylized and decorative art, framing the importance of organic, botanical, and true form of the objects. So while the world focused on exact and complicated features, the artists in Paris were simplifying, making decadence, and flow emerge out of their art. The one who had the most harmony, intensity and influence in Paris was Mucha. Mucha was fascinated with another Fin de siècle Parisian movement: allure to the occult or spiritualism. The followers derived their belief in a World Soul from a mash up of religions including: Buddhism, Jewish Kabala, Brahmanism, Christian mysticism, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

White Privilege as it Pertains to White and Minority College Students My (black) Caribbean students, as a whole, tend to perform much better than my African American students. Well, consider it over the years, and particularly during slavery, the best and brightest blacks in this country were weeded out. I don t believe that blacks are naturally inferior to whites, however, American blacks are the unfortunate end product of an enforced breeding process that has left them at a mental disadvantage. Yet, she rolls her eyes at the rough English spoken by one African American student and glosses over the hesitant comments of others. It would seem, by the students tacit and silent acceptance of her behavior, that this is de rigueur, par for the course. These days, a college degree serves as one of the few tickets into a socially and economically comfortable lifestyle. College itself, ideally, should vastly increase the knowledge, skills, and capacity for critical thinking in its students. However, in this racially imbalanced society, college is the culmination of a white weighted education, and often ignores its own participation in long standing racial injustices and inequities. Minority students are expected to jump headlong into white standards of behavior, without regard for the unique circumstances that render that expectation difficult, if not impossible, to meet. My schooling gave me no training in seeing myself as an oppressor, as an unfairly advantaged person, or as a participant in a damaged culture. I was taught to see myself as an individual whose moral state depended on her individual moral will. My schooling followed the pattern my colleague Elizabeth Minnich has pointed out: whites are taught to think of their lives as morally neutral, normative, and average, and also ideal, so that when we work to benefit others, this is seen as work ... Asgari and Bonde [1] presented a new totally implantable physiologic left ventricular assist device system in pulsatile and continuous modes using wireless networks. To investigate the feasibility and implantability of the proposed methodology, the authors tested physiologic controller in two large female pigs in vivo experiments. The results showed that the suggested controller (UMC Physio), consumes less power compared with the HeartMate II (axial pump) controller and HeartWare (centrifugal pump) ventricular assist device controller. Critique The system presented wireless network for monitor, communication, control and powering of the left ventricular assist device systems which is a novel and significant research for LVADs implantation [1]. However, if there are not internet access and wireless network (via smartphone) at the same time due to malfunction in antenna or network, limitation in range and other issues, the proposed system will fail to monitor and control the LVAD in patients, and therefore it will result in dangerous conditions or death. Wireless connections have harmful effects on the health of people and especially on blood, the heart, and the autonomic nervous system when the radiation is continuous and long term [2]. Therefore, it is recommended to reduce electrosmog exposure and prevent wireless networks for communication, monitor, control and powering of the LVADs. Although the main aim of the research published by Asgari and Bonde was to propose a wireless method for LVAD systems, it is not acceptable that the author did not compare proposed controller with the other famous methods such as preload based ... Glen Grant Distillery Research Paper The history of the Glen Grant Distillery starts all the way back in 1820 when the men of the Grant Clan raided nearby Elgin to free their chief and his family. The Raid on Elgin is the last Scottish revolt in history. The leader of this revolt, James Grant, and his brother John, ran an unlicensed and illegal distillery for nearly 20 years when in 1840 they decided to embark on making their dream of creating a world famous single malt whisky into reality by applying for a license. The site of the Glen Grant Distillery, in Speyside in the Scottish Highlands, was deemed ideal to make this happen, with the nearby port of Garmouth, fields of barley surrounding it, and the River Spey to the south. After the death of both the Grant brothers in 1872, James Grant s son, also called James, inherited the distillery and took over it s running. Known as a bit of a maverick, he went by the nickname of The Major and was fascinated by new ideas he was also not afraid to put them into practice. The term fake news, as President Trump believes, is any story that damages the reputation of a certain group, but the most commonly used definition of fake news is any report or article based on lies. As for unreliable sources, these are sources that cannot be trusted because the authors do not have the through knowledge or credentials to discuss the topic they are writing about. The main difference between fake news and unreliable sources is that fake news is stories that are untrue; however, for unreliable sources, the articles written might not be necessarily false, but the people who write the stories are not certified to write about the topic. In addition, bias has always played a large role in the media. Media bias occurs when a source reports a news story or article in a prejudiced manner. Yet, whether the source is more conservative or liberal, this bias does not make the source is any less reliable because there will always be bias in the media. For example, The New York Times has a more liberal approach when writing its stories, but this does not mean this is an unreliable source. If the news The New York Times gives are factual and are written by certified people, it is still a reliable source. Nevertheless, there are unbiased sources in the media, too. Looks can be deceiving however, not all infants are created equal. Statistically speaking, the overwhelming majority of the seven billion humans on earth will pass away as a member of the same socioeconomic class they began. In fact, society predicates itself on living a better life than their family who came before. Society takes part in a never ending race to further itself on a socioeconomic level from the generation before knowing full well that the majority will not achieve such goal. That in itself is a testament to how difficult the task of altering identity is. Malcolm Gladwell s Power of Context echoes many of the same progressive principles preached in the early twentieth century, he believes external factors such as the aspects of environment are the greatest determinants of identity. Barbara Fredrickson argues in her book Love 2.0, that change comes from within. Frederickson believes that biochemical alterations of the human body can occur by increasing loving potential (119). An increase of such potential has a profoundly positive impact on human health . • 27. Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response Introduction According to McEwen and Wills, concepts in the nursing profession are words that describe a variable of nursing practice (2014, pg. 50). Concepts, once defined, are used in research to test hypotheses that will increase knowledge and theory development. However, concept definitions change with time and context. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly and succinctly define concepts within an analysis for a meaningful application. Mentoring in nursing practice has been thought of as a beneficial way of increasing nursing knowledge for several decades (Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 311). However, the concept of mentoring had not been defined or analyzed, which made researching its effectiveness useless. This concept analysis of mentoring in nursing practice shows that mentoring can be mutually beneficial for a mentor, protégé, and nursing practice. However, further research on this concept is necessary to determine the broader application to nursing as a scientific discipline. Method of Analysis In the concept analysis of mentoring, Stewart and Krueger used the evolutionary method by Rodgers (Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 312). This method involves multiple steps of analysis that are often occurring concurrently rather than completing a step after one is completed. The benefit of this method is that it has clear phases in the analytical process but is time efficient because steps are occurring at the same time. It also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

THESIS STATEMENT Although he was questioned and is criticized, Hannibal Barca made the correct decision by not directly attacking the city of Rome. A commander under Hannibal, Marhabal, was greatly mistaken when he openly attacked Hannibal s decision to refrain from attacking Rome. PURPOSE STATEMENT Through research and analysis of historical events, it is apparent that a direct attack on the city of Rome would have been ultimately futile, and quite possibly self destructive. INTRODUCTION In 216 BC at the hilltop village of Cannae, in Apulia the Roman army stood to fight Hannibal and suffered the greatest losses in a single day in Roman history. As the sun rose the next day it shone on the bodies of the Romans who had been so cleverly trapped and slaughtered. Not far from there, Marhabal, a cavalry commander under Hannibal, tells Hannibal that in five days he shall dine as victor on the Capitol hill . Marhabal s prediction was not just hyperbolic, but it was ludicrous. Not only would it have taken much longer than five days to reach and capture Rome, but Hannibal and his army had no means to even attempt it. Hannibal understood this and when he denied Marhabal s proposal, Marhabal responded, [y]ou know how to win a victory, but not how to use one . Hannibal did know how to use a victory. • 31. The Consequences Of Drug Abuse And Addiction Drug abuse and addiction are controversial topics in modern society. In general, drug abuse leads to drug addiction. Drug abuse can be defined as the overuse of drugs along with the process of undergoing efforts to obtain drugs in an (usually) illegal manner, whereas drug addiction is the inability to live without said drug and engaging in any attempts necessary to obtain them. Addicted individuals engage in drug abuse. The two concepts tend to go together, ruining relationships by becoming the most important thing in the life of someone afflicted with this disease. Most people who find themselves addicted to drugs often seek treatment but end up procrastinating any options to do so and ultimately remain in this harmful cycle. To determine if an individual is abusing drugs, it is important to compare the person s previous behavior with their current behavior. This can be difficult as many addicts tend to distance themselves from their friends and families early on to the point where anyone close to them may not be able to notice a significant change. It could also be useful to track an individual s history at pharmacies to check for possible prescription drug abuse and at convenience stores to check for possible alcohol and cigarette purchases.
