Outline Essay Sample
Writing an essay on the topic of "Outline Essay Sample" can prove to be a challenging task, as it
requires a delicate balance between providing a comprehensive framework and maintaining a
clear and concise presentation. The difficulty lies in creating an outline that effectively guides
the reader through the main ideas and supporting details while ensuring coherence and logical
flow.
One of the challenges is determining the appropriate level of detail for each section of the
outline. Too much detail can overwhelm the reader, while too little may result in an outline that
lacks substance. Striking the right balance is crucial to ensure that the essay effectively conveys
the intended message.
Another difficulty arises in choosing the most suitable organizational structure for the outline.
Different topics may warrant different approaches, such as chronological, spatial, or topical
organization. Deciding on the best structure requires careful consideration of the nature of the
subject matter and the relationships between various components.
Additionally, crafting a strong thesis statement within the outline is crucial. This statement sets
the tone for the entire essay and provides a roadmap for the reader. Ensuring that the thesis is
clear, concise, and adequately represents the main argument adds another layer of complexity to
the task.
Furthermore, the writer must pay attention to transitions between different sections of the
outline. Smooth transitions are essential for maintaining the coherence of the essay and
preventing the reader from becoming lost or confused.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Outline Essay Sample" demands careful
consideration of detail, organizational structure, thesis development, and transition coherence. It
is a task that requires not only a good understanding of the chosen topic but also a strong grasp
of the principles of effective essay writing.

Vietnam War Peace Movement
During the Vietnam War, Martin Luther King was the one who led the peace
movement. The peace movement was when Americans gathered to protest to try
make the U.S. bring back the troops from Vietnam. Americans did not want the
U.S. fighting in the Vietnam War and were looking for peace and ease instead.
Many wondered if the peace movement was ever going to end because it clearly did
not work since the U.S was still fighting in the Vietnam War. Nobody really listened
to MLK in the beginning of this movement. Though, this was not a reason to give up.
This only gave most Americans more motivation to keep going. Many doubted the
peaceful movement and weren t sure if it was working. Some even dropped out of
this movement because they saw no change.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

is always trying to get involved in a country that is none of their business. The U.S.
wanted to contain communism from spreading around the war. For that reason, the
U.S. decided to become involved in the Vietnam War. This was clearly a mistake
because how could the U.S. possible have control over this situation? Sending troops
who have no interest in the Vietnam War whatsoever to fight and die is not a way to
contain communism. Spending money to fight a war that is pointless is not going to
stop communism from spreading. Not only that, but Americans were not even happy
at the fact that the U.S. decided to become involved in the Vietnam War. A large
amount of money was spent on the Vietnam War instead of this money being spent
on the poor or something effective in the U.S. Thousands and thousands of troops
were sent to fight miles and miles away. Many of these men were African Americans
and were not even given their full civil rights, but they were sent to fight to a war
they did not want to be a part of. Many Americans wanted peace in the U.S. and
wanted their troops back to their home. For these many reasons, the Vietnam War was
a mistake and the U.S. should have just minded their own business in America.
Furthermore, the U.S. should have maintained peace in their own nation and should
have made Americans happy
Pros And Cons Of Batman And Superman
Batman and Superman are DC s most valuable super heroes. They fight crime, help
those in need, and protect their cities. Truly that is hero, someone we should look up
to. Or is it? Today I was tasked with deciding whether or not, Batman and Superman
do more harm than good as role models and cultural icons. I have come to the
conclusion that they do more harm than good. It s important to note that I will be
basing most of my information on the Supermanand Batmanmovie. I have 3 main
reasons why I believe this, 1 they are not relatable, 2 they solve their problems
through violence, and 3 they are very dark. Let s begin with point one.
The first reason why I agree with the statement, As role models and cultural icons,
Batman and Superman do more harm than good. Is because of how unrelatable
they are to people. Starting with Superman, he is an alien from a different world.
He has powers that no one on earth can attain, unbreakable skin, laser eyes, the
ability to fly by himself, and X ray vision (Superman s). No one can relate to any of
those powers (Superman). Meanwhile, Batman is an orphan, who has billions of
dollars. Some people can relate with the loss of a loved one but very, very few have
access to even a million dollars. We look at them and see something that we can
never be. Batman and Superman are role models and cultural icons that do more harm
than good.
The second reason why Batman and Superman as role models and cultural icons do
more harm than good is because they solve the majority of their problems through
violence. Dr. Sharon Lamb states, Today s superherois too much like an action hero
who participates in non stop violence...rarely speaks to the virtue of doing good for
humanity, (Chivers). She is 100% correct in this. In the 2013 movie, Man of Steel,
our hero flies about destroying the city he swore to protect. Buildings fall, lives are
taken, and superman brings up no mention of any virtue by the end of the film. He
uses violence. This continues on in basically every show that includes him. Bad guy
shows up, does a bad thing, and Superman flies over, beats up the villain and wins
the day. Now we examine Batman. He does the exact same thing, gliding around his
city beating up crime and
Stellar Evolution
The changes that occur during a star s life are called stellar evolution. The mass of a
star determines the ultimate fate of a star. Stars that are more massive burn their fuel
quicker and lead shorter lives. Because stars shine, they must change. The energy they
lose by emitting light must come from the matter of which the staris made. This will
lead to a change in its composition. Stars are formed from the material between stars,
shine until they exhaust their fuel, and then die a predictable death based upon their
initial mass.
From atoms to stars
Understanding of the processes of stellar evolution came as a result of twentieth
century advances in both astronomy and atomic physics. Advances in quantum
theory and improved models of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The churning motion of the material in the convective core causes the nuclear ash of
helium to be mixed with the surrounding hydrogen fuel. This motion ensures that
virtually all the hydrogen will be available to the nuclear fires that heat the star.
Both high and low mass stars respond to the depletion of hydrogen fuel in a similar
manner. In order to supply the heat to oppose its own self gravity, the star s core
again responds by shrinking. In a sort of reflex reaction, the outer regions of the
star expand, causing a great increase of its radiating surface area. Although the total
energy output of the star increases during this phase, the greatly enhanced surface
area results in a cooling of the surface and the star takes on a redder appearance. The
size and color change lead to the name of red giant for these stars. If the star is very
massive, it may become what is called a red supergiant.
For the low mass stars, the expansion to the red giant phase will begin when about
90% of its hydrogen has been converted to helium. During the contraction of its core,
a complicated sequence of events occurs. The shrinkage required to produce the
energy radiated by the large giant causes the core to shrink to the dimensions of a
white dwarf, while hydrogen continues to burn by nuclear fusion in a thin shell
surrounding the core. This shell provides most of the energy that is radiated away by
What Is The Importance Of Solubility In Salt Potassium...
Solubility is the property of a chemical substance, in any state, to dissolve within an
adequate solvent. Many chemical experiments in the lab will contain a solute in a
solvent, therefore important to know the exact reactions that will ensue. Symmetry
and polarity play crucial roles in the occurrence of solubility. A primary rule of like
dissolves like , describes how molecules with the same symmetry are more likely to
be soluble with each other. The same rule can be attributed to the tendencies of polar
versus nonpolar molecules.
A phase transfer reagent allows for the reactant to go from one phase to another. A
reaction takes place, allowing for insoluble ionic reactants to be soluble in organic
phase. Purification of a compound is also common practice and is most times done
by recrystallization. This is where the solute is dissolved in a solvent at ambient
temperature so that pure crystals form when cooled. With the case of an inorganic
salt potassium permanganate in an organic solvent, a phase stage reactant is often
used.
The largest form of experimental error for this experiment was that of approximation,
affecting solute solvent ratios and thus the ability for the solute to dissolve. Since
very few actual measurements were taken, it is possible that the solute was too
saturated for a reaction to occur within the amount of solvent added. This may have
then affected if the solute needed to have heat added in order for, in this case the
potassium permanganate,
Intelligence Collection
Methods of Intelligence Collection and Analysis
Intelligence is one of the first lines of defense used by the United States to protect the
Country against both foreign and domestic threats (Johnson, 2010). There are many
ways and methods of intelligence collections employed by the intelligence
community such as spies, eavesdropping, technical sources, and openly available
materials etc (Clark, 2013). Method used also depends on many factors such as
available resources, time, agency involved, and intelligence collection source. U.S
Intelligence agencies use different collection and analytical method that suit their
collection function, structure and pro¬cess. For example, DNI/OSC relies on open
source (OSINT), CIA uses human intelligence (HUMINT) tactic, DIA uses
measurements and signatures intelligence (MASINT), NSA employs signals
intelligence (SIGINT), and NGA utilizes imagery intelligence (IMINT) techniques for
their intelligence collections (Clark, 2013).
In most cases these INTs community compete among each other to provide needed
intelligence information to policy makers to justify their budgetary allocations
(Lowenthal, 2014). However, intelligence collection can be divided into five main
categories referred to as intelligence collection disciplines or the INTs . These include

Beethoven Monologuel Orchestra
The Seoul Philharmonics Orchestra were unique and performed phenomenally.
When I first started to watch the orchestra, I thought I was going to be very dreary
because it was a performance I would have to watch. However, Seoul Orchestra was
the complete opposite. The concert is called Beethoven Symphony No.9 and it was a
full orchestra. The performers that performed were all professionals. I chose to watch
this performance because Beethoven is one of my favorite classical composers and
when I was testing out orchestras to watch, the Seoul Philharmonics Orchestra from
the beginning, their synchronization unified perfectly.
The orchestra was an enormous size and it is conducted by Myung Whun Chung. The
genre of the music was symphony. The music was written in the Classical music
period. The orchestra included instruments such as, violins, violas, cellos, string base,
flutes, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, trumpet, French horns, and timpani. The orchestra
starts off with a Beethoven s Symphony No. 5. The conductor give the first signal and

The first one is called Allegro Ma Non Troppo . This movement is performed with a
legato style with a dramatic crescendo. The dynamics fluctuates throughout the piece,
matching the style era and the melody flows throughout the movement. The second
movement is called Molto Vivace with a staccato style and a quick tempo, but it
transitions into a legato style. This movement changes timbre and does not have a
specific melody. The entrance is relived towards the end however it ends tersely. The
following movement, Adagio Molto E Cantabile is different from the first two. It
expresses a soft melody then enhanced by a pizzicato style. The last movement Presto
Allegro Assai starts with thunderous sound and restates the tune of the last
movement. This movement is easily recognized by most; calling it Ode to Joy. In
addition, this symphony included a full choir and 4 opera
Legion of Honor Essay
Throughout different time periods and civilizations come many different types of
art that would never be comparable to those of another time or place. There are
also the pieces that come from a completely different time and place, but yet they
can still be compared to one another. The Torso of a God (Egyptian, New Kingdom,
Dynasty 18, last decade of the reign of Amenhotep III, Granodiorite, 1359 1349
B.C.) and the Statue of Asklepios (Greek, Hellenistic period, Pentelic Marble, 2nd
century B.C.) are two sculptures made hundreds of years apart, yet they both display
many similarities and show how art is constantly changing whilst keeping the same
core ideas. The Torso of a God is a sculpturelocated at the Legion of Honor museum

The statue shows the God in a good light and as a muscular and fit being, but at the
same time is portrayed in an extremely unrealistic way. The Statue of Asklepios is a
classic Greek sculpture that portrays a person of the most perfect and athletic
form. The piece is of a man standing beautifully while draped in a toga. The toga is
draped over his left shoulder and cuts across to the right side of his body near his
lower abdomen and then continues to cover his legs until his ankle. The toga also
is draped over the pieces entire back. The piece is missing his head, his left arm
and both his right foot and almost its entire right arm. The piece has a smooth, but
not glossy, exterior in all of the areas except for the parts that have been broken off.
Asklepios is portrayed as an incredible fit and beautiful being. The abdomen is
extremely muscular and shows off the miraculous fitness of the model. The toga
has many wrinkles, creating a lot of shadow and darks and lights. It also is
wrapped in a way that is both loose and tight in different areas of the sculpture. It is
tied right next to the left pectoral and the left armpit. This piece emphasizes the
muscular body of this man while at the same time portraying him standing in such a
nonchalant way through the curvature and relaxed look of the figure. And unlike the
Torso of a God, this piece clearly shows movement through the shape of the body and
the folds of the toga because

The waterfront is the origin of human culture and economy. A lot of creatures
depend on water for life, mankind is no exception. Therefore, the earliest villages
were close to water sources. This was not only because of our dependence on water
but also due to traffic concerns. The rise and fall of many cities was related to
transportation. In the very beginning, villages close to water turned into fishing
villages. In the age of navigation, they became the posts of trade. In the industrial age,
they became container ports. The old ports then became the new waterfront
appearance. Such a process represents the diversity of waterfront use and its
importance to human life and commercial activities. With the advancements in

Perceptual Abilities In Infants
Perceptual abilities were thought to be only developed in the later year of infancy
until new techniques for studying infant perception proved this theory wrong and that
infants have the ability right after birth. Physically newborns can see 7 15 inches
away, which is also the distance that the parents face is when holding the newborn.
Infants sight will keep expanding as they continue to grow and the by age one it is
said that their visual perceptionwill be at the point where their vision is the best it
will ever be. Infants show their interest in visual perceptionby looking at patterns and
objects for long period of times than they do with less vibrant objects and colors

The infant will make attempts to follow the object but only side to side. With this
process, there is a lot of readjusting of the eyes so that the infant can keep the object
in their field of vision. Tracking will keep improving as the child continues to
follow objects. The tracking ability varies by cultures. This may be a difference
because of a biological factor. To get a complete picture of an object the infant is
found scanning. Infants will quickly scan the details and get a sense of it as a
whole to have a picture of what it is like. Scanning is a process that will keep
growing and advancing as the infant grows and has more contact with new objects.
Knowing the way an infant s visual perception works will help to recognize if
something were to be wrong with the infant s sight based on how they are
responding at different ages and if they are meeting any or some of these visual
concepts. If I were to see an infant not showing any interest in patterns or objects by
certain time periods I would show concern that the infant may have something
wrong with their sight and need to be checked out. It is a harder thing to detect but
if there is never any emotion or response to multiple attempts of visual objects it is
best to check that the child s eyes are
The Civil War And American Revolution
Most people know it as the Civil War, but it ought to be best known as The
Confederate States of America, home to the 13 colonies from the Civil War and
American Revolution. The Confederate States of America originally started out with
11 states in 1860 and on July 15, 1870 Georgia was the last Confederate state; when
they were operating under the Articles of Confederation, providing guns to militias.
The founder found out the Constitution was too weak and decided to adopt the US
Constitution to have more power and adopt an army. Their army needed guns and
when they provided guns, this meant war. On December 15, 1971, a little after the
Civil War the Second Amendment was born. The Second Amendment ties in with

Later on, Arkansas, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee then seceded and
joined the Confederacy. Georgia was the last to join the confederacy on July 15,
1870, over five years after the war ended. Almost every Southerner in the 13 states
has a rebel flag to represent their freedom. With the rebel flag clutched in his hands,
dressed in Confederate gray, a black man named Anthony Hervey, had devotion for
this flag when he found that his Great Great uncle fought in the Confederacy
during the time of the Civil War. With further research, Hervey found at least
100,000 blacks fought with the Confederates. Hervey chose the site to place the
flag where it once stood representing the South; he said. The battle flag stands for
freedom and states rights. Born in Virginia, Robert E. Lee chose to fight with the
south. He is known as one of the greatest generals in all history because of his
devotion to duty and honorable character. It is known as a flag for racism, but it is
not meant to be racist at all. This flag was originally created to be a battle flag for
the southern states; it is the Confederate or Rebel flag. Most people say that if
somebody owns a flag like this, he/she is racist, but that is not true. It is a battle
flag to represent freedom and proudly flown by Southerners because it is their
heritage. People believe it symbolizes racism because the Confederates had slaves,
but most of them did not have slaves and the ones who did owned a lot.
Conditioning In Psychology
Conditioning humans is not as easy as say conditioning an animal; such as a dog.
Unlike most of their fellow mammals (ie. dogs, horses, cats, moneys, ect.), humans
have an elite way of telling wither or not they are being messed with or trained to
do something. Conditioning is more than normally used to train animals to respond
to different sounds as a que for things such as food, or bathroom time. Humans on
the other hand tend to have their own time table for things such as food or when
they need to use the restroom or even when they are dismissed from something like
a class. Like any animal over time humans can be conditioned to respond to a que
such as three knocks to something like a bell signaling the end of a class period.

Over the course of a little bit less than a month the researcher would tap their fist
on a desk three time right before or when the bell rang in order to let the students
know that their class period was over. This went on sometime the researcher would
forget a day or realized that it would be to obvious that they were knocking on their
desk. As seen in the chart1 people did not seem to realize what was going on or
respond to the knocking when it was done. Over the time that the experiment was
conducted not one person in the classroom caught on to what was happening or the
fact that the researcher was conducting an conditioning experiment on them.
VARIABLES Variables existed to block the way of this experiment being conducted
correctly. An experiment such as remembering to knock on a desk three time right
before or on the bell suffered from variables such as not remembering, or having the
fear that someone in the classroom would catch onto what the researcher was doing.
Although very few variables played part in the experiment they did end up causing
some issues when it came to making sure the experiment was conducted correctly.

It is not estimated to grow to much in the next 10 years. Some aspects I like about
the career is designing and testing your designs. This is a big plus because you get

that it is not projected to grow that much. That can be a huge problem out of

because of the process. An area I need to develop new skills is by learning physics.

The Conflict Between Israelis and Palestinians
On July 14, 2014, Mohammed Suliman, a Muslim living in Gaza City, tweeted,
Amir, 12, and Mohammed. 10, want to buy yogurt. Things are calm, they tell their
mom. They leave the house. A blast is heard. They re dead (Hosford). Tragic
though it is, this is not a rare phenomenon in this region. In fact, 2,314 Palestinians
were killed and 17,125 injured just in 2014 alone as a result of Israel s activities in the
Gaza Strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem, according to the annual report by the UN
Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Because of the unfair
treatment of Palestinians, the situation in Israel/Palestine is a human rights conflict.
To further understand this conflict, one must first know how it began. In 1948, the
country of Israel was formally created. Technically speaking, this would be the
origin of this conflict, but some scholars think it began earlier. They believe it was a
result of the Jewish exiles in ancient times when the land was conquered by the
Romans. The land was then taken over by Arabs, who are still found there today.
Jews had several reasons for immigrating to Palestine. Firstly, in the late 19th
century, Jews created a movement to migrate back to the Holy Land, ignoring the
fact that the area was already occupied by Palestinians. As a result, conflicts over
who had rights to the land arose. Great Britain was in control of
How Did Greece Influence The Mediterraneans
Romans had an important part in history. They pioneered many great innovations
such as roads and modern aqueducts. However, Greece had a bigger impact on the
mediterranean through cultural diffusion and the direct relationship Greece had with
the other countries. They had a greater influence on these other countries through
arts, protection, and other things such as literature. Latin poets also followed the
same literary forms as the greek poets when writing their own works. Even romans
were curious about and admired the culture of Greece, as they used and adapted parts
of it, especially in Literature and Arts
Greece had a larger impact on the mediterranean than Rome did. Greece had a large
impact through arts and protection, to name a few. Greece even influenced Rome
highly through arts and Literature, as Romans valued art and began to import Greek
art and imitate the writing styles of the Greeks. Greece also had a large effect on the
mediterranean through protection, because after the Persian war, Greece offered
protection by the greek Navy in turn for large sums of money. This created the
golden age in Greece and highly effected the many other parts of the mediterranean.

and where art and literature were highly respected. They also treated religions

had ever seen up to renaissance times. Rome also did a lot of trading with countries
and regions such as spain, middle east, north africa, and france. The romans

marble, olive oil, perfumes, purple dye, silk, silver, spices, timber, tin and
Abolitionists Suffragettes
Before the Civil War even started, women were already fighting for their rights. Many
started out as abolitionists, but eventually joined the movement for women s suffrage.
The movement continued to grow throughout the 19th century, while at times uniting
with the anti slavery movements in order to fight for the ultimate right of voting.
When the 14th and 15th amendment were passed after the civil war, the women were
blindsided when only black men were granted the right to vote and they were not
even mentioned. Immediately after these amendments, a great divide between the
women s suffrage movement and abolitionists. Although it was necessary for the
black men to secure their rights, because if they do not they might not be able to

In this case, it was absolutely necessary for women to sacrifice their needs and rights,
because if blacks refused to acknowledge the rights given to them, Congress might not
have granted them again. Although this completely betrayed women, it was a
necessary but unfortunate betrayal. Many women agreed with this, including J
Elizabeth Jones, an American suffragist, and abolitionist, who stated, Shall the loyal
disfranchised men... be kept out of their inheritance all that time, because we are
despoiled of ours? Some of them are educated, wealthy... shall we say to them stand
back, turn again into the rugged paths of proscription? She supported women s
suffrage, but also understood that they are fighting the same battle as the women and
it is only fair that women wait their turn and let the blacks enjoy their rights. Also, if
the blacks were to not acknowledge their rights, they might not be able to ensure them
in the future. By Congress giving them the rights, the blacks are not doing them any
favors, rather Congress is doing them a favor that might not occur again. On the other
hand, Susan B. Anthony, a prominent leader of the women s suffrage movement,
wrote in an abolitionist newspaper, The Revolution, The old anti slavery school says
women must stand back and wait until the negroes shall be
National Identification Program Analysis
I would support the requirement for everyone in the United States to carry a national
identity card containing a fingerprint and a photograph. I believe that the importance
of the preservation of security within the United States is more important than the
minor cost in terms of time and perceived loss of privacy for people to obtain such
identification. In addition, such a requirement would not be significantly out of step
with current forms of national identification required for everyday activities, such as
banking, or applying for a loan. I anticipate that the most significant opposition to
such a measure will stem from the argument that the requirement for such a form of
identification would make discriminatory law enforcement more likely, and that
undocumented individuals might be unable or unwilling to obtain such forms of
identification. To address these concerns, I would propose a restriction on the
national identification program that separates it entirely from immigration and
customs enforcement (ICE) and the United StatesCitizenship and Immigration
Service (USCIS). The program would be solely focused on law enforcement, and not
on the enforcement of immigration law. Virginia Held, in Terrorism, Rights, and
Political Goals argues for restrictions on counterterrorism measures in order to avoid
the undue encroachment of security into the realm of civil liberties (Held, 2005). I
am in agreement with this position, and believe that a national identification program
should be structured to preserve these fundamental values.
Case Analysis Of The Kraft Heinz Company
The Kraft Heinz Company successfully merged on July 2, 2015 when Heinz owned
by Berkshire Hathaway and 3G Capital teamed up with Kraft Foods Group. The
deal is considered one of the top most mergers in the food and beverage industry
worldwide. Currently the company has its strong presence worldwide. Moreover both
3G Capital a Brazilian Equity Firm and Warren Buffet together contributed by
investing $10 billion in the deal making the company worth about $46 billion.
Earlier Heinz was a leverage buyout in 2013 through 3G Capital by Berkshire
Hathaway. On the other hand Kraft Food Group was formed in October 2012, after a
spin off from international snack food company MondelД“z International (MDLZ).
As per the deal shareholders of Heinz in total will have a 51% stake overall. To
neutralise the deal somewhat in favour of Kraft Foods Co also, Berkshire Hathaway
and 3G Capital paid a one time cash dividend , which meant that one share of Kraft
Foods came equal to one share of Kraft Heinz Company.
Merger proves to be beneficial for both the companies as Heinz 61% sales from
outside North America and on the other hand Kraft Foods sales is covered by 98%
from North America for the revenues in the fiscal year 2014. This gives a big boost
for the Kraft Food to enter and tap the international emerging markets for its strong

Why I Chose The Word Childhood
When I looked over the words for the Personal Definitions Essay, I was at a stand
still. All of the words that were presented seemed great, but still a cliche. For
instance, the easiest word on there has to be Love. How many people on the street
right now could answer What does love mean to you? and it is a universal
definition of one loving another in a caring and loving way. How many people
would give examples of their significant others or their families to show assurance
of this definition? But those people would never talk about the heartbreak they
have gone through loving another. They would never speak of the dark corners of
their souls exposed to someone who didn t care or worse scared and stopped. Love
changes every day. That s why I chose a different route a more challenging route. I
chose the word Childhood. The definition of childhood is a period of life from
birth to puberty with the etymology being old English. Everybody has experienced
childhood, and everybody has a different experience on it but not everybody has
come out the same way. The first person I asked was my friend Brian. We had
decided to hang out on a whim, and I decided this would be the perfect opportunity
of getting some of my research done for this essay. What does Childhood mean to
you? I had joked, and his eyes grew serious at the question. It was in and out of the
hospital, he admitted, gaze long and drawn out. It was never knowing what to expect
the next day. (B. Leathern,

The purpose of this essay is to analyze how the majority of mass media activities on
foreigners among the Korean society are accelerating racism and xenophobia by
stimulating public sentiment. In this essay, immigrants are defined as non Koreans
who come from different cultural backgrounds. When the mass mediareports on
foreigners and their issues, several agendas with a negative nuance are frequently
repeated: Crimes and illegal matters, swift of the cultural basis, and no manners. This
essay will introduce real examples related to each agenda and then look at their
relevance of racism or xenophobia. This study is significant in realizing the plans

Crimes and illegal matters in Korea: Last year, many Koreans were mentally shocked
when they found out about Oh Wonchun s murder case. Oh Wonchun, raped one
woman in her twenties and before the murder. The dead body was badly mutilated
beyond recognition (KBS news, 11th April, 2012). In respond to the case, mass
media increasingly focused on cases of crimes committed by foreigners in order to
reflect the public emotion. Such action taken by the mass media can also be found
in cases related to robbery, sexual assault, fraud, theft, drug, smuggling, credit card
fraud, marriage in disguise, and illegal organ transaction. To be specific, centralized
media reports about edible capsules made by a dead fetus, grotesque murder cases,
increasing rape cases made audiences more furious. Those cases were too ghoulish for
Koreans to accept, and they were already beyond Korean s public sentiment and
experience. Also, mass media found out crimes by foreigners usually have a
connection with gambling, adult entertainment, murder by contract, and drug
trafficking. They reported that those things
Kravis V. Barbarians At The Gate
When Ross submitted his bid of $75/share, Henry Kravis took a look at the bid
and knew that Ross put in a low ball offer. Kravis countered the offer and submitted
$90/share. But the offer would not last long, Kravis knew that Ross was going to

highest offer Kravis can submit and quickly pay off the debts.
In Barbarians at the Gate, it states,
In one way, A LBO is like buying a used car. The car buyer wants to know more

Orconectes Propinquus Experiment
Orconectes propinquus is an ectotherm where its body temperature varies with the
environment. Their metabolic rate can be affected in response to change in
temperature. Decreasing body temperature causes change in the physical chemistry of
the cell to reduce metabolic activity. (Johnston and Dunn, 1987) When the body
temperatureincreases, metabolic rate increases exponentially (Hill et al., 2012). This
suggests an allometric relationship between metabolic rate and body mass.
Metabolic rate is measured by the rate of oxygen consumption and oxygen
consumption rate changes over time during the experiment. The crayfish acclimated
to warm temperature increased the oxygen consumption whereas the crayfish
acclimated to cold temperature decreased the oxygen consumption. In our
experiment, there was no significant effect of acclimation temperature on oxygen
consumption. The warm and cold acclimated crayfish showed similar mean oxygen
consumption rate despite different acclimation temperatures (Fig.1). Also, the P ...

Also, changing enzyme activity such as altering the structure of hemocyanin can
affect the binding affinity of oxygen. As temperature decreases, oxygens are more
dissolved in cold temperature. Increased water temperature, decrease in the level of
dissolved oxygen in water (Elsevier) This is because of the modulation of
hemocyanin oxygen binding affinities or different hemocyanin proteins at high or

Now im going to give you an example of how vehicle manufacturers sell their

Haiti And The Dominican Republic Essay
Introduction The caribbean is where a small island, contains two countries within
its borders and a long history of conflict. Haiti and the Dominican Republic are two
different country, with completely different cultures, from religion, to the food

conflict is what unites these two countries. This paper will attempt to analyse that
story, and answer how this small island came to be divided into two countries, and
inhabited by two peoples of such different cultures. This paper will also take a
small look at the results of this history, and it s effects on both countries. Context
of the paper In order to understand the current situation of these two countries it is
important to look back, to their history, from the beginning of the colonial period.
From when Christopher Columbus discovered the New World in 1492. He named
the island of Hayti Hispaniola Little Spain. The Spaniards soon after discovering
the island, established themselves permanently on Hispaniola, building the city of
Santo Domingo. in 1521, Hernan Cortes had discovered Mexico, and Pizarro was
overrunning Peru, both of these colonies were rich in gold and silver. By 1548, the
Indian population had been reduced and the reserves of gold in the colony were
declining. This made Santo Domingo become of less value to the Spaniards, which
lead to most Spanish settlers to quickly leave the island for the richer lands of

significant cost savings from sharing services and overheads such as purchasing,
warehousing, information technology and property. However these benefits never
occurred. Coles Myer was burdened with poor management, bad strategic decisions,
and internal conflict. Their share price was faltering, and lagging behind their biggest

Another problem for machine bureaucracies is trying to do too much. The
resulting complexities arising from an organisation attempting to control a very
broad range of businesses can often be too great for the machine bureaucracy
structure to handle (Robbins Barnwell, 2006, pp. 125). This problem was
recognised by Fletcher, with one of his first moves to sell off the non core
businesses Red Rooster and World 4 Kids. Increased organisational complexity
also played a part in failure to achieve the expected economies of scale after the
merger. Organisational Change Change in an organisation can either be planned

comes about as a result of someone s perception of a performance gap. The board s
recognition of such a performance gap led to Fletchers appointment as chief
executive, and change agent. The problems facing Coles Myer were difficult and
widespread. Most of the individual businesses struggled with business strategy, and
across the whole organisation there was issues with

Assess the view that the family performs vital, positive...
The family was once described as a social group that shared common residence,
consisted of at least two adults of each sex that maintained a socially approved
sexual relationship and had one or more children, their own or adopted. This is a
nuclear family, described by George Murdoch to be a universal familytype. Although
it is correct to say that nuclear families reside universally, family types now vary
from single parent families to gay headed families. Despite the variety, they contribute
to the society, in ways that can be positive and negative too. Many sociologists differ

Primary socialisation is a vital performance which is done by the family, as a child
is expected to have acknowledgement of the norms and values in order to adjust with
the society they live in.
Although the functionalist theory does not look at the negative aspects of the
family there are others that do. It can only be assumed that the functionalist view
was patriarchal the belief that men are dominate. This assumption is only
representative of Parson as he introduced the warm bath theory, whereby he
suggested that it was men that had a hard day at work and their wives (women)
stayed at home and made them feel better when the husbands came home. Radical
feminists are those who focus on this discrimination and have firm belief that the
world is wrongly dominated by men. They believe that patriarchal ideology gives
women a perception that motherhood is their natural role whereas it actually keeps
women subservient to men. They express how women have at least a dual role but
most have a triple burden which consists of the roles of a paid worker, a mother and
a housewife. The Marxist theory characterises the society as being one that exploits
and subordinates the working class. They argue that the family only benefits
capitalists as they produce the working class, teach their children to accept capitalist
values when primarily socialising them, which are to hard work, accepting and

Nuclear Power Plants
In 1942, Enrico Fermi successfully sustained a nuclear fission reaction and created
the world s first functional reactor. What his experiments, and those of earlier
scientists like Otto Hahn and Fritz Strassman, showed was that by splitting the
nucleus of heavy radioactive elements (like uranium and cadmium), energy is
released, and the reaction could be designed to generate a sustained energy source
(Schlager Weisblatt, 2006). Subsequent experiments illuminated the promise of
nuclear energy as a reliable alternative to coal, and scientists and economists praised
it as the future of energy. While nuclear powerremains the most efficient form of
energy (Nei.org, 2013), its early proponents failed to take into account the potentially
devastating effects of a power plant overloading and exposing radioactive waste to
nearby populations, and catastrophic events like the Chernobyl and Fukushima
disasters have substantially undermined the promise of Nuclear Energy. The question
of whether nuclear power will become the standard of energy production remains a
hotly debated topic among economists and environmentalists alike. The economic
costs of nuclear energy are vast, ranging from government oversights and barriers to
entry, to variable human capital costs and fiercely competitive substitutes. By
analyzing the economics of the establishment of a nuclear power plant, we can get
closer to answering the question of whether nuclear power will become the true
future of energy. In the
The Pros And Cons Of Truancy
Truancy is any unauthorized and intentional or illegal absence from mandatory
education. Students being absent from primary schools or institutions providing
compulsory education at their free will without any reference to legitimate reasons
for absence like medical conditions is the phenomenon of truancy. Students who
attend schoolbut not classes are also subject to be charged with truancy. It is
prevalent in both UAE and UK, though explicitly defined in policies and procedural
handbooks of almost every school across the countries.
In Wales and England, truancy is deemed as a criminal offence for guardians. UK

One such strict determination of the government to combat truancy was noticeable
the following year. The education ministry of UAE emphasized that students needed
to be present at school on the three days after the Eid Al Adha Holiday. Schools were
authorized to penalized students committing truancy.
The Eid Al Adha holiday announced to be on October 5th and 6th (Sunday and
Monday) this year and followed by three normal working days. Several guardians
and students have had a knack of ignoring the three days following the Eid Al Adha
holiday in order to experience an extended vacation. The Wadeema s Law, a legal
child protection initiative undertaken by the UAE government includes measures
to combat truancy in several ways. In my observation, I noticed students in UAE
committed truancy and extended Eid Al Adha Holiday on their will. I predict the
same behavior from students who committed truancy on Eid Al Adha Holiday will
be repeated again on the upcoming National Day Holiday. Through this law, movie
theaters allowing children to go in for age inappropriate movies and shisha cafes
permitting minors entry are legible for fines (Veenstra, et al. 2010). Wadeema s

The 1960 s Rooster
In expressive arts we are studying the theme of the 60 s. In our lesson we watched a
dance called Rooster .
Rooster was created for the Ballet du Grand Theatre de Geneve and first performed
on October 10 1991 at the Grand Theatre de Geneve,
Switzerland. It was first performed by Rambert Dance Company on 8
December 1994 at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle. Christopher Bruce (the
choreographer), wished to celebrate the music and to use the qualities of the song
to reflect the sexual war between women and men that he felt was revalent during
his teenage years. He compared the image of a strutting cockerel with its fine
feathers and the men dressed up to go out. Rooster is a creation of the 1960 s by using

The black and red may also represent feathers, like a rooster. The men wear black
trousers, velvet suits, and bright colours for their shirts; this reflects the dazzling,
flashy mood of the swinging 60 s.
The centre stage is illuminated initially enabling the opening dancer to walk into the
area whilst performing the rooster strut . There are occasional contrasts where
lighting fills the stage. This may be representing a disco or party, which again relates
to the setting as it shows the audience a typical night out in the 60 s.
The music is by the Rolling Stones who were popular between 1964 and
1969 who performed in a rhythm and blues style. They use a different song for
each dance. The first song seems very beaty and active, the second song seems
more slow and relaxed, and the third is very energetic, lively and repetitive. The
guitar and drums are used a lot in all of the 3 songs, which again relates to going out
in the 60 s.
All of the dances link together very well and seem to flow into one another. I
believe the first dance they use an animal theme (a rooster) effectively, as they are
looking for a mate. I believe it s used a metaphor for men on a Saturday night, out
on the prowl looking for girls. The second dance is representing courting, as they
have all found a partner. The third dance seems to be the fun part, where the 2 main
characters are dancing. I believe this part may relate to drugs, as the dancers are

Social Norm Analysis
As a society we set standards to how an individual should present themselves in any
setting they may be attending. A professor name James M. Henslin (2015),
explained in a text book that a norm is an expectation that we set of right behavior
within any setting (49). A norm violation can vary in many situations from affecting
a person s hearing, sight, smell, taste, personal space or just making an individual
uncomfortable. Presenting a different type of behavior that is enforced because they
are thought essential to core values or the wellbeing of a group (51) may be a
different view of defining a normviolation.

Everlasting Matchbox Research Paper
The Everlasting Matchbox The matchbox from Chicago s World Fair in 1934 was
a matchbox built to last as a reminder of the Century of Progress . The use of
formal qualities of the matchbox play a strong impact on keeping the matchbox as a
memory. The material qualities of the matchbox would help keep the matchbox
protected from harmful damage throughout the years. The formal and material
qualities help keep the matchbox alive in memory and physical form. Together, the
formal and material qualities help preserve the matchbox for years to come. One of
the first examples of the matchbox being built to last is due in part because of the
formal qualities of the matchbox. One of the formal qualities of the matchbox is the
metal having a colored picture on it. The colored picture on the matchbox makes the
metal that is not painted on catch the viewers attention because the metal appears
very bright. This combination of colored and non colored metal helps create a mental
image easy to remember. Whenever the viewer thinks of the matchbox they
immediately think about how shiny the metal was upon first seeing the matchbox,
keeping the mental image rooted in the viewer s memories. Another formal quality
of the matchbox is the metal itself that makes the matchbox feel like a valuable
piece of history. The different images portrayed on the various matchboxes portray

The formal qualities preserve the matchbox by keeping it rooted in the memories of
the viewer and make it easy to be remembered. The material qualities of the
matchbox preserve it by making it very durable to be able to withstand being
crushed and battle through the elements. The matchbox will last for years to come
both in memory form and in physical form as a token of the Century of
High Incidence Of Bacteri Los Angeles County Beaches
Los Angeles County Beaches have a dangerous amount of water pollutants. The
influx of water pollutants has caused water quality in county beaches to significantly
decrease, especially with excess storm runoff during the wet weather season. This has
contributed to a high incidence of bacteria, like fecal bacteria, which leads to more
gastrointestinal illnesses and causes an annual economic loss between $21 to $51
million in public health. Poor water quality in LA County beaches also discourages
the public from visiting beaches, putting in jeopardy the estimated $90 billion beach
visitors contribute to coastal tourism economy. Therefore, I propose disconnecting
the direct link between impervious areas, like roofs or paved surfaces, and the storm
or combined sewer system. As this policy is cost effective, the remaining funds
should be utilized to maintain water quality testing facilities and water treatment
facilities. This should be done within a year of implementation in order to improve
water quality during the wet weather season. Problem Definition There are dangerous
levels of water pollutants in Los Angeles County Beaches. Pullulated coastal waters
have health and economic repercussions. Excess water pollutants, mainly due to
contaminated runoff, in beaches puts the health of residents and tourists at risk,
which has a huge impact on public health, leading to economic loss in that regard.
Also, the high incidence of water pollutants can deter people from visiting the
Planet Nine Research Paper
Planet Nine is a hypothetical large planet in the far outer Solar System, the
gravitational effects of which would explain the improbable orbital configuration of a
group of trans Neptunian objects (TNOs) that orbit mostly beyond the Kuiper belt.
Planet Nine does not have an official name, and it will not receive one unless its
existence is confirmed, typically through optical imaging. Once confirmed, the IAU
will certify a name, with priority typically given to a name proposed by its
discoverers. It will likely be a name chosen from Roman or Greek mythology.
The newest, potential member of the solar system , Planet Nine may have tilted the
entire solar system, researchers say.

This discrepancy has long been a mystery in astronomy.
Bailey and her colleagues ran computer simulations that suggest that the tilt of the
eight official planets can be explained by the gravitational influence of Planet Nine
over the 4.5 billion years ish lifetime of the solar system, Bailey mentioned.
Bailey did note that there are other potential explanations for the tilt of the solar
system. One alternative is that electrically charged particles influenced by the young
sun s magnetic field could have interacted with the disk of gas and dust that gave rise
to the planets in ways that tilted the solar system. Another possibility is that there
might have been an imbalance in the mass of the nascent sun s core.
However, all these other ways to explain why the solar system is tilted are really
hard to test they all invoke processes that were possibly present really early in the
solar system, Bailey said. Planet Nine is the first thing that has been proposed to
tilt the solar system that doesn t depend on early conditions, so if we find Planet
Nine, we will be able to see if it s the only thing responsible for the tilt, or if anything
else may have played a
Hurricane Gulf Research Paper
When most people think the of the Gulf of Mexico, the thought of surf probably
never crosses their mind. However, the gulf is capable of producing quality surf
more than you would think. From hurricanes to cold fronts, the gulf can receive
waves from various weather patterns. For those in the know, hurricane season is the
time of year gulf coast surfers have the highest hope for quality surf. The thought of a
hurricane is certainly bittersweet with the danger it can potentially cause for the
general population but it has been a quite some time since the gulf has gotten
significant attention from tropical activity. Hurricanes Ike and Gustav in 2008 were
really the last time the gulf experienced serious swell. For the most part, hurricane

The storms brought about by cold fronts can produce great surf. Although it can
get very cold, you will see many surfers along the gulf beaches when a cold front
comes through. These winter swells generally begin with strong south winds and
choppy surf. Make no mistake, surfers in the gulf take advantage of any
opportunity to catch a wave. As the cold front moves across the state, the winds
will switch to a west or north west direction that can lead to some great waves and
cold weather. This year, surfers benefited greatly from the El Nino weather pattern.
Many days of favorable surf were enjoyed. Just a small disclaimer, the gulf can
become very cold so a wetsuit may come in handy if you want to give surfing a
cold front a shot. If you are a local gulf coast resident or just simply vacationing,
know that surfing is a definite possibility in the Gulf of Mexico. Whether you are
learning or an experienced surfer, although fickle, the gulf can offer some fun waves
along the entire coast. There are multiple websites that offer daily updated surf
reports such as Gulfster.com and Aurasurf.com. These are great resources to use for
checking the surf forecast. Check out the photo below for a glimpse of what the Gulf
of Mexico can offer for anyone wanting to catch some
Analysis Of The Movie Interstellar
Interstellar
Interstellar (Obst, Thomas Nolan, 2014) a terrific science fiction story with various
elements. A story about love, family, and friends, but there happens to be a villain
whose actions result in shocking consequences for the other characters. There s a
great amount of emotion expressed by each character, which makes a great impact on
how the film s viewed. Escorting us through wormholes, into planets in other
galaxies, and black holes. The characters keep colliding into the properties of
relativity, which thoroughly clarified in numerous scenarios. The movie proceeds
sometime in the future where the Earth is slowly becoming uninhabitable for the
reason of a global crop plague, in addition to a second dust bowl occurring. The
science fiction movie Interstellar (Obst, Thomas Nolan, 2014) does an excellent job
portraying advancements in technology, astrophysics and real life issues that could
eventually happen, such as food scarcity and catastrophic natural disasters.
To begin with, the advancements in the movie remains comparable towards today s
technology, but there are a few advances that happen to be far off from doing. The
movie offers us an insight of what mankind can accomplish if we turn in the right
direction. Interstellar (Obst, Thomas Nolan, 2014) shows space stations that sustain a
large amount of human life to create or prepare for the next generation to come.
Demonstrates how robots can help grow and maintain crops, also they re also now
Media Managing Research Paper Overview
Researchers often assume that a firm s media coverage is an exogenous result of
actual news about the firm. In this paper I show that firms actively manage the
quantity of media coverage they receive, increasing coverage of good news and
decreasing coverage of bad news. Firms do this media managing by including media
experts on their board of directors. That is, coverage in the news mediais, in part, a
choice that firms make. Here is an example that describes the expectations of firms
from media experts I consider in this paper:
In 1985, former Philip Morris chief executive Hamish Maxwell wrote the following
in an internal memo: A number of media proprietors that I have spoken to are
sympathetic to our position Rupert Murdoch ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Asset pricing literature argues that information asymmetry of this sort should cause
discount rates to rise through liquidity channel (Kelly and Ljungqvist, 2009). I
present evidence consistent with this interpretation using a difference in difference
design firms with media experts suffer an increase in cost of capital by 120 to 300
basis points per year that is attributed to liquidity beta. The finding that board member
induced managed media coverage reduces liquidity beta complements the findings of
other papers studying the liquidity impact of press coverage in other contexts (see
Bushee, Core, Guay, and Hamm,2010; Solomon, 2009; and Soltes, 2009).
If having media on board increases future press coverage, but dampens asset prices
through the liquidity channel, why would firms actively seek such board members?
A simple cost/benefit analysis suggests that firms should get something out of having
such people on board. Media experts may help hire better public/investor relation
firms or consultants. In other words, such board members may provide connections
to media and related industries (e.g., advertising, public relations). Given that
advertising spending is also a big revenue item for media companies, firms would
benefit from media expertise on board through efficient allocation of advertising
expenditures. Consistent with this interpretation, I find reduction in cost of capital as
measured by reduced exposure to Fama and French s HML factor. Because
The Horrors Of Greed In The Devil And Tom Walker
The Devil and Tom Walker, is a story about the horrors of greed. Tom Walker, the
main character, is very greedy and stingy when it comes to money. As a result Tom
talks with the Devil, and the Devil says that he will give him money, but in exchange
he must use that money for something cruel. Tom is greedy enough to agree to the
deal. Tom in the end is taken by the Deviland never seen again. Greed has corrupted
him and he basically sold his soul for money. He used the Devil s money to destroy
people s lives. Tom was so greedy that he was more sad when he lost his riches than
when he lost his wife. The topic of the story is greed. Greed occurs throughout the
story and in the end, it takes Tom s wife, all his possessions, his life, and his soul.
An Introduction To Big Data
IV.OPPORTUNITY RELATED TO BIG DATA
There are lots of opportunity associated to big data that help any organization to
handle their large amount of data, like in financial sector it store data related to
finance, healthcare sector it store health related patient records, doctors detail and
medicine ,medical equipment related details . In retail sector it is also used [5]. Web
/social media/mobile companies also use it for storing their user detail and data like
their likes, search pattern, calling and messaging records. Manufacturing and
government sectors also use it.
V.MAPREDUCE PROCESS It is an algorithm that is used for handling the huge

Step 1: Selection of data is completed by creating subset of the data means
categorized the data.
Step 2: Then check the result by reducing the random data and make relationship

Step 3: Then apply iterative process [9] for finding the better result from the set.

The Importance Of Paid Domestic Work
Paid domestic work is defined as a person or individual who works within the
employer s household, expected to perform a variety of task including but not
limited to child or elderly care, cleaning and household maintenance. I will argue
that the practice of paid domestic work cannot be reformed and made equitable for
three main reasons. The reasons are as follows: 1) This form of work is not
regarded as an actual job or employment by many 2) The practice of domestic work
is embedded in racial roots and practice 3) There isn t a market for individuals
volunteering to do paid domestic work. For the sake of this argument, I will focus
on the care of children as the only form of paid domestic work, particularly the
children of privileged or upper middle class families executed by women who are
minorities. When thinking about a traditional job with an employer and employee,
nannies are not the first to come to mind. When working as a nannyyou are expected
to tend to three different things: the children, the house, and the lifestyle and values
of the employer. As explained by Hondagneu Sotelo, Parents hire nanny/housekeepers
to do work involving intimate care, yet many fundamentally resist the idea that these
services require monetary compensation (Hondagneu Sotelo 120). Although this job
involves the worker partaking in both physical and emotional labor, which isn t a
requirement for other jobs, it is still seen as one that isn t actually employment and
shouldn t yield
Masculinity In William Golding s Lord Of The Flies
Maybe there is a beast... maybe it s only us. (Golding). This line comes from the
book Lord of The Flies a book about a group of boys stranded trying to create a
colony, and all of the troubles they face. A number of the troubles they actually
face come from their own doing, arising because of the way that they learned to
behave very masculinely. The boys are all trying to appear dominant and repress
their emotions so they don t look weak or feminine to the other boys, much like how
men in today s culture try to do. So, what would happen if boys were brought up in a
more supportive and less harsh culture? Would men appear more communicative and
open to their emotions, or would they stay the same? Boys and men growing and
maturing in today s society should not be pressured into suppressing emotions and
killing all semi feminine parts about themselves.
When men and boys are trying to show no emotion and appear dominant to their
peers, nobody wins. Men are taught this from a young age, to grow up and be a Man .
Which in society s terms means to have anger issues, treat women as an inferior, and
to be over controlling of everything. That kind of toxic masculinity is a reason for
many troubles in a multitude of peoples lives. Little boys and Little girls start off
emotionally equal...both boys and girls are like a stereotypical girl. Society
influences the way our boys behave. All though some boys may still behave this
way; as a result of them just having a personality
Coleman Hawkins Essay
Coleman Hawkins
I think he was the most interesting jazz musician I ve ever seen in my life. He just
looked so authoritative . . . I said, Well, that s what I want to do when I grow up.
(DeVeaux, 35) Cannonball Adderley said these words when he first saw Coleman
Hawkins with the Fletcher Henderson band at the City Auditorium in Tampa, Florida.
Just as Hawkins influenced one of the greatest alto players in history, he has
influenced many people to become phenomenal saxophone players. Lester Young and
Sonny Rollins both give tribute to Coleman Hawkins as being the proliferator of the
tenor saxophone as a jazz instrument. (Kernfeld, 506) Hawkins, unfortunately, is
labeled as a swing musician though; and while he did begin ... Show more content on

By the time he was twelve he was already being paid to perform at school dances.
He then went to high school in Chicago for, at most, one year before dropping out
to attend Washburn College in Topeka, Kansas. He studied for two years at
Washburn at which time he learned about harmonies and composition; which
would prove to be of utmost importance to him and his career in later life. At
seventeen, Hawk got his first regular gig in the spring of 1921 playing in the
orchestra for the 12th Street Theater in Kansas City. That very summer, Mamie
Smith and the Jazz Hounds performed at the theater Hawkins was working. After
hearing Bean play, Mamie Smith offered him a job touring with her group. By
March of 1922, the Jazz Hounds, now with Hawkins, were playing in New York at
the Garden of Joy. Shortly afterwards, he appeared on his first recording with the
group. Although his contributions are hardly notable throughout most of the album,
he did get a reasonable solo with the tune, I m Gonna Get You. Hawkins and the
Jazz Hounds toured across the country reaching out to California, playing in the
musical revue, Struttin Along. The Jazz Hounds act was a mix of vaudeville and
blues, as were most primarily African American groups in the twenties.(Sadie, 322)
Hawkins role was a cross of the two styles in which he would slap tongue his
saxophone while lying on his back with his feet in the air.(DeVeaux, 48) After the

Eminent Domain Purposes
1.When does a taking occur for eminent domain purposes? Refer to the Lucas case.
Eminent domain refers to the inherent power of the state to take or seize the private
property of its individual citizens. Property taken through eminent domain is mainly
set aside for the development of public utilities or assigned to a third party who is
then supposed to use it for the general good of the public (Larson, 2004).
There are generally four types of takings employed by the state through eminent
domain. These are:
a.Complete Taking This is where the state seizes an entire propertyin for public use.
In the case of Lucas v. South Carolina Coastal Council (1992), the plaintiff was
entitled to compensation as a result of the complete taking of his land. However the
Supreme Court denied him any compensation stating that the restriction imposed on
the use of the land was in the interest of the general public due to the intended use of
the land. Therefore the Takings Clause does not apply in this case in spite of the
economic benefits lost incurred as a result of the complete taking of his property.
b.Partial Taking The state in this case takes a portion of a particular property mainly
for the expansion of the existing utilities. The owner of the property is liable for
compensation in regard to the piece of land seized and any resulting decline in the
value of the remaining property.
c.Temporary Taking The government may require a piece of land to be used as a site

No, I wonВґt let another person die. That is the last word IВґm going to say , said

It was the sixth day and they were going to fight. They arrived to the location and in

they were not worried about death. The fight lasted two hours but finally the chosen

Peruvian soldiers could save the president and came out victorious.
At the end all USA honored Peru for helping their country. The president also thank
the president of Peru for reunited him with his family and made a speech that states
that Peru was a good friend of the United States because they had helped a lot. He
said Peru, this 2020, you have shown us nobility and friendship, helping other

  • 1. Outline Essay Sample Writing an essay on the topic of "Outline Essay Sample" can prove to be a challenging task, as it requires a delicate balance between providing a comprehensive framework and maintaining a clear and concise presentation. The difficulty lies in creating an outline that effectively guides the reader through the main ideas and supporting details while ensuring coherence and logical flow. One of the challenges is determining the appropriate level of detail for each section of the outline. Too much detail can overwhelm the reader, while too little may result in an outline that lacks substance. Striking the right balance is crucial to ensure that the essay effectively conveys the intended message. Another difficulty arises in choosing the most suitable organizational structure for the outline. Different topics may warrant different approaches, such as chronological, spatial, or topical organization. Deciding on the best structure requires careful consideration of the nature of the subject matter and the relationships between various components. Additionally, crafting a strong thesis statement within the outline is crucial. This statement sets the tone for the entire essay and provides a roadmap for the reader. Ensuring that the thesis is clear, concise, and adequately represents the main argument adds another layer of complexity to the task. Furthermore, the writer must pay attention to transitions between different sections of the outline. Smooth transitions are essential for maintaining the coherence of the essay and preventing the reader from becoming lost or confused. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Outline Essay Sample" demands careful consideration of detail, organizational structure, thesis development, and transition coherence. It is a task that requires not only a good understanding of the chosen topic but also a strong grasp of the principles of effective essay writing. • 2. Vietnam War Peace Movement During the Vietnam War, Martin Luther King was the one who led the peace movement. The peace movement was when Americans gathered to protest to try make the U.S. bring back the troops from Vietnam. Americans did not want the U.S. fighting in the Vietnam War and were looking for peace and ease instead. Many wondered if the peace movement was ever going to end because it clearly did not work since the U.S was still fighting in the Vietnam War. Nobody really listened to MLK in the beginning of this movement. Though, this was not a reason to give up. This only gave most Americans more motivation to keep going. Many doubted the peaceful movement and weren t sure if it was working. Some even dropped out of this movement because they saw no change.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... is always trying to get involved in a country that is none of their business. The U.S. wanted to contain communism from spreading around the war. For that reason, the U.S. decided to become involved in the Vietnam War. This was clearly a mistake because how could the U.S. possible have control over this situation? Sending troops who have no interest in the Vietnam War whatsoever to fight and die is not a way to contain communism. Spending money to fight a war that is pointless is not going to stop communism from spreading. Not only that, but Americans were not even happy at the fact that the U.S. decided to become involved in the Vietnam War. A large amount of money was spent on the Vietnam War instead of this money being spent on the poor or something effective in the U.S. Thousands and thousands of troops were sent to fight miles and miles away. Many of these men were African Americans and were not even given their full civil rights, but they were sent to fight to a war they did not want to be a part of. Many Americans wanted peace in the U.S. and wanted their troops back to their home. For these many reasons, the Vietnam War was a mistake and the U.S. should have just minded their own business in America. Furthermore, the U.S. should have maintained peace in their own nation and should have made Americans happy
  • 3. Pros And Cons Of Batman And Superman Batman and Superman are DC s most valuable super heroes. They fight crime, help those in need, and protect their cities. Truly that is hero, someone we should look up to. Or is it? Today I was tasked with deciding whether or not, Batman and Superman do more harm than good as role models and cultural icons. I have come to the conclusion that they do more harm than good. It s important to note that I will be basing most of my information on the Supermanand Batmanmovie. I have 3 main reasons why I believe this, 1 they are not relatable, 2 they solve their problems through violence, and 3 they are very dark. Let s begin with point one. The first reason why I agree with the statement, As role models and cultural icons, Batman and Superman do more harm than good. Is because of how unrelatable they are to people. Starting with Superman, he is an alien from a different world. He has powers that no one on earth can attain, unbreakable skin, laser eyes, the ability to fly by himself, and X ray vision (Superman s). No one can relate to any of those powers (Superman). Meanwhile, Batman is an orphan, who has billions of dollars. Some people can relate with the loss of a loved one but very, very few have access to even a million dollars. We look at them and see something that we can never be. Batman and Superman are role models and cultural icons that do more harm than good. The second reason why Batman and Superman as role models and cultural icons do more harm than good is because they solve the majority of their problems through violence. Dr. Sharon Lamb states, Today s superherois too much like an action hero who participates in non stop violence...rarely speaks to the virtue of doing good for humanity, (Chivers). She is 100% correct in this. In the 2013 movie, Man of Steel, our hero flies about destroying the city he swore to protect. Buildings fall, lives are taken, and superman brings up no mention of any virtue by the end of the film. He uses violence. This continues on in basically every show that includes him. Bad guy shows up, does a bad thing, and Superman flies over, beats up the villain and wins the day. Now we examine Batman. He does the exact same thing, gliding around his city beating up crime and
  • 4. Stellar Evolution The changes that occur during a star s life are called stellar evolution. The mass of a star determines the ultimate fate of a star. Stars that are more massive burn their fuel quicker and lead shorter lives. Because stars shine, they must change. The energy they lose by emitting light must come from the matter of which the staris made. This will lead to a change in its composition. Stars are formed from the material between stars, shine until they exhaust their fuel, and then die a predictable death based upon their initial mass. From atoms to stars Understanding of the processes of stellar evolution came as a result of twentieth century advances in both astronomy and atomic physics. Advances in quantum theory and improved models of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The churning motion of the material in the convective core causes the nuclear ash of helium to be mixed with the surrounding hydrogen fuel. This motion ensures that virtually all the hydrogen will be available to the nuclear fires that heat the star. Both high and low mass stars respond to the depletion of hydrogen fuel in a similar manner. In order to supply the heat to oppose its own self gravity, the star s core again responds by shrinking. In a sort of reflex reaction, the outer regions of the star expand, causing a great increase of its radiating surface area. Although the total energy output of the star increases during this phase, the greatly enhanced surface area results in a cooling of the surface and the star takes on a redder appearance. The size and color change lead to the name of red giant for these stars. If the star is very massive, it may become what is called a red supergiant. For the low mass stars, the expansion to the red giant phase will begin when about 90% of its hydrogen has been converted to helium. During the contraction of its core, a complicated sequence of events occurs. The shrinkage required to produce the energy radiated by the large giant causes the core to shrink to the dimensions of a white dwarf, while hydrogen continues to burn by nuclear fusion in a thin shell surrounding the core. This shell provides most of the energy that is radiated away by
  • 5. What Is The Importance Of Solubility In Salt Potassium... Solubility is the property of a chemical substance, in any state, to dissolve within an adequate solvent. Many chemical experiments in the lab will contain a solute in a solvent, therefore important to know the exact reactions that will ensue. Symmetry and polarity play crucial roles in the occurrence of solubility. A primary rule of like dissolves like , describes how molecules with the same symmetry are more likely to be soluble with each other. The same rule can be attributed to the tendencies of polar versus nonpolar molecules. A phase transfer reagent allows for the reactant to go from one phase to another. A reaction takes place, allowing for insoluble ionic reactants to be soluble in organic phase. Purification of a compound is also common practice and is most times done by recrystallization. This is where the solute is dissolved in a solvent at ambient temperature so that pure crystals form when cooled. With the case of an inorganic salt potassium permanganate in an organic solvent, a phase stage reactant is often used. The largest form of experimental error for this experiment was that of approximation, affecting solute solvent ratios and thus the ability for the solute to dissolve. Since very few actual measurements were taken, it is possible that the solute was too saturated for a reaction to occur within the amount of solvent added. This may have then affected if the solute needed to have heat added in order for, in this case the potassium permanganate,

Intelligence Collection Methods of Intelligence Collection and Analysis Intelligence is one of the first lines of defense used by the United States to protect the Country against both foreign and domestic threats (Johnson, 2010). There are many ways and methods of intelligence collections employed by the intelligence community such as spies, eavesdropping, technical sources, and openly available materials etc (Clark, 2013). Method used also depends on many factors such as available resources, time, agency involved, and intelligence collection source. U.S Intelligence agencies use different collection and analytical method that suit their collection function, structure and pro¬cess. For example, DNI/OSC relies on open source (OSINT), CIA uses human intelligence (HUMINT) tactic, DIA uses measurements and signatures intelligence (MASINT), NSA employs signals intelligence (SIGINT), and NGA utilizes imagery intelligence (IMINT) techniques for their intelligence collections (Clark, 2013). In most cases these INTs community compete among each other to provide needed intelligence information to policy makers to justify their budgetary allocations (Lowenthal, 2014). When I first started to watch the orchestra, I thought I was going to be very dreary because it was a performance I would have to watch. However, Seoul Orchestra was the complete opposite. The concert is called Beethoven Symphony No.9 and it was a full orchestra. The performers that performed were all professionals. I chose to watch this performance because Beethoven is one of my favorite classical composers and when I was testing out orchestras to watch, the Seoul Philharmonics Orchestra from the beginning, their synchronization unified perfectly. There are also the pieces that come from a completely different time and place, but yet they can still be compared to one another. The Torso of a God (Egyptian, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, last decade of the reign of Amenhotep III, Granodiorite, 1359 1349 B.C.) and the Statue of Asklepios (Greek, Hellenistic period, Pentelic Marble, 2nd century B.C.) are two sculptures made hundreds of years apart, yet they both display many similarities and show how art is constantly changing whilst keeping the same core ideas. The statue shows the God in a good light and as a muscular and fit being, but at the same time is portrayed in an extremely unrealistic way. The Statue of Asklepios is a classic Greek sculpture that portrays a person of the most perfect and athletic form. The piece is of a man standing beautifully while draped in a toga. The toga is draped over his left shoulder and cuts across to the right side of his body near his lower abdomen and then continues to cover his legs until his ankle. The toga also is draped over the pieces entire back. The piece is missing his head, his left arm and both his right foot and almost its entire right arm. The piece has a smooth, but not glossy, exterior in all of the areas except for the parts that have been broken off. Asklepios is portrayed as an incredible fit and beautiful being. The abdomen is extremely muscular and shows off the miraculous fitness of the model. The toga has many wrinkles, creating a lot of shadow and darks and lights. It also is wrapped in a way that is both loose and tight in different areas of the sculpture. It is tied right next to the left pectoral and the left armpit. This piece emphasizes the muscular body of this man while at the same time portraying him standing in such a nonchalant way through the curvature and relaxed look of the figure. And unlike the Torso of a God, this piece clearly shows movement through the shape of the body and the folds of the toga because

Therefore, the earliest villages were close to water sources. This was not only because of our dependence on water but also due to traffic concerns. The rise and fall of many cities was related to transportation. In the very beginning, villages close to water turned into fishing villages. In the age of navigation, they became the posts of trade. In the industrial age, they became container ports. The old ports then became the new waterfront appearance. Most people say that if somebody owns a flag like this, he/she is racist, but that is not true. It is a battle flag to represent freedom and proudly flown by Southerners because it is their heritage. People believe it symbolizes racism because the Confederates had slaves, but most of them did not have slaves and the ones who did owned a lot.

Because of the unfair treatment of Palestinians, the situation in Israel/Palestine is a human rights conflict. To further understand this conflict, one must first know how it began. In 1948, the country of Israel was formally created. Technically speaking, this would be the origin of this conflict, but some scholars think it began earlier. They believe it was a result of the Jewish exiles in ancient times when the land was conquered by the Romans. The land was then taken over by Arabs, who are still found there today. Jews had several reasons for immigrating to Palestine. Firstly, in the late 19th century, Jews created a movement to migrate back to the Holy Land, ignoring the fact that the area was already occupied by Palestinians. As a result, conflicts over who had rights to the land arose. Great Britain was in control of

  • 20. National Identification Program Analysis I would support the requirement for everyone in the United States to carry a national identity card containing a fingerprint and a photograph. I believe that the importance of the preservation of security within the United States is more important than the minor cost in terms of time and perceived loss of privacy for people to obtain such identification. In addition, such a requirement would not be significantly out of step with current forms of national identification required for everyday activities, such as banking, or applying for a loan. I anticipate that the most significant opposition to such a measure will stem from the argument that the requirement for such a form of identification would make discriminatory law enforcement more likely, and that undocumented individuals might be unable or unwilling to obtain such forms of identification. To address these concerns, I would propose a restriction on the national identification program that separates it entirely from immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) and the United StatesCitizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). The program would be solely focused on law enforcement, and not on the enforcement of immigration law. Virginia Held, in Terrorism, Rights, and Political Goals argues for restrictions on counterterrorism measures in order to avoid the undue encroachment of security into the realm of civil liberties (Held, 2005). I am in agreement with this position, and believe that a national identification program should be structured to preserve these fundamental values.

How many people on the street right now could answer What does love mean to you? and it is a universal definition of one loving another in a caring and loving way. How many people would give examples of their significant others or their families to show assurance of this definition? Although it is correct to say that nuclear families reside universally, family types now vary from single parent families to gay headed families. Despite the variety, they contribute to the society, in ways that can be positive and negative too. Many sociologists differ in their views as to whether the family is positive to the society or not functionalists believe that the family has positive functions that contribute... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Primary socialisation is a vital performance which is done by the family, as a child is expected to have acknowledgement of the norms and values in order to adjust with the society they live in. Although the functionalist theory does not look at the negative aspects of the family there are others that do. It can only be assumed that the functionalist view was patriarchal the belief that men are dominate. This assumption is only representative of Parson as he introduced the warm bath theory, whereby he suggested that it was men that had a hard day at work and their wives (women) stayed at home and made them feel better when the husbands came home. Radical feminists are those who focus on this discrimination and have firm belief that the world is wrongly dominated by men. They believe that patriarchal ideology gives women a perception that motherhood is their natural role whereas it actually keeps women subservient to men. They express how women have at least a dual role but most have a triple burden which consists of the roles of a paid worker, a mother and a housewife. The Marxist theory characterises the society as being one that exploits and subordinates the working class. They argue that the family only benefits capitalists as they produce the working class, teach their children to accept capitalist values when primarily socialising them, which are to hard work, accepting and respecting

  • 34. Nuclear Power Plants In 1942, Enrico Fermi successfully sustained a nuclear fission reaction and created the world s first functional reactor. What his experiments, and those of earlier scientists like Otto Hahn and Fritz Strassman, showed was that by splitting the nucleus of heavy radioactive elements (like uranium and cadmium), energy is released, and the reaction could be designed to generate a sustained energy source (Schlager Weisblatt, 2006). Subsequent experiments illuminated the promise of nuclear energy as a reliable alternative to coal, and scientists and economists praised it as the future of energy. While nuclear powerremains the most efficient form of energy (Nei.org, 2013), its early proponents failed to take into account the potentially devastating effects of a power plant overloading and exposing radioactive waste to nearby populations, and catastrophic events like the Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters have substantially undermined the promise of Nuclear Energy. The question of whether nuclear power will become the standard of energy production remains a hotly debated topic among economists and environmentalists alike. The economic costs of nuclear energy are vast, ranging from government oversights and barriers to entry, to variable human capital costs and fiercely competitive substitutes. By analyzing the economics of the establishment of a nuclear power plant, we can get closer to answering the question of whether nuclear power will become the true future of energy. In the

Students being absent from primary schools or institutions providing compulsory education at their free will without any reference to legitimate reasons for absence like medical conditions is the phenomenon of truancy. The Eid Al Adha holiday announced to be on October 5th and 6th (Sunday and Monday) this year and followed by three normal working days. Several guardians and students have had a knack of ignoring the three days following the Eid Al Adha holiday in order to experience an extended vacation. The Wadeema s Law, a legal child protection initiative undertaken by the UAE government includes measures to combat truancy in several ways. In my observation, I noticed students in UAE committed truancy and extended Eid Al Adha Holiday on their will. Rooster was created for the Ballet du Grand Theatre de Geneve and first performed on October 10 1991 at the Grand Theatre de Geneve, Switzerland. It was first performed by Rambert Dance Company on 8 December 1994 at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle. Christopher Bruce (the choreographer), wished to celebrate the music and to use the qualities of the song to reflect the sexual war between women and men that he felt was revalent during his teenage years. The men wear black trousers, velvet suits, and bright colours for their shirts; this reflects the dazzling, flashy mood of the swinging 60 s. The centre stage is illuminated initially enabling the opening dancer to walk into the area whilst performing the rooster strut . There are occasional contrasts where lighting fills the stage. This may be representing a disco or party, which again relates to the setting as it shows the audience a typical night out in the 60 s. The music is by the Rolling Stones who were popular between 1964 and 1969 who performed in a rhythm and blues style. They use a different song for each dance. The first song seems very beaty and active, the second song seems more slow and relaxed, and the third is very energetic, lively and repetitive. The guitar and drums are used a lot in all of the 3 songs, which again relates to going out in the 60 s. All of the dances link together very well and seem to flow into one another. I believe the first dance they use an animal theme (a rooster) effectively, as they are looking for a mate. I believe it s used a metaphor for men on a Saturday night, out on the prowl looking for girls. The second dance is representing courting, as they have all found a partner. The third dance seems to be the fun part, where the 2 main characters are dancing. I believe this part may relate to drugs, as the dancers are moving in

A norm violation can vary in many situations from affecting a person s hearing, sight, smell, taste, personal space or just making an individual uncomfortable. The influx of water pollutants has caused water quality in county beaches to significantly decrease, especially with excess storm runoff during the wet weather season. This has contributed to a high incidence of bacteria, like fecal bacteria, which leads to more gastrointestinal illnesses and causes an annual economic loss between $21 to $51 million in public health. Poor water quality in LA County beaches also discourages the public from visiting beaches, putting in jeopardy the estimated $90 billion beach visitors contribute to coastal tourism economy. Therefore, I propose disconnecting the direct link between impervious areas, like roofs or paved surfaces, and the storm or combined sewer system. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This discrepancy has long been a mystery in astronomy. Bailey and her colleagues ran computer simulations that suggest that the tilt of the eight official planets can be explained by the gravitational influence of Planet Nine over the 4.5 billion years ish lifetime of the solar system, Bailey mentioned. Bailey did note that there are other potential explanations for the tilt of the solar system. One alternative is that electrically charged particles influenced by the young sun s magnetic field could have interacted with the disk of gas and dust that gave rise to the planets in ways that tilted the solar system. Another possibility is that there might have been an imbalance in the mass of the nascent sun s core. However, all these other ways to explain why the solar system is tilted are really hard to test they all invoke processes that were possibly present really early in the solar system, Bailey said. Planet Nine is the first thing that has been proposed to tilt the solar system that doesn t depend on early conditions, so if we find Planet Nine, we will be able to see if it s the only thing responsible for the tilt, or if anything else may have played a

In this paper I show that firms actively manage the quantity of media coverage they receive, increasing coverage of good news and decreasing coverage of bad news. Firms do this media managing by including media experts on their board of directors. That is, coverage in the news mediais, in part, a choice that firms make. Here is an example that describes the expectations of firms from media experts I consider in this paper: In 1985, former Philip Morris chief executive Hamish Maxwell wrote the following in an internal memo: A number of media proprietors that I have spoken to are sympathetic to our position Rupert Murdoch ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Asset pricing literature argues that information asymmetry of this sort should cause discount rates to rise through liquidity channel (Kelly and Ljungqvist, 2009). I present evidence consistent with this interpretation using a difference in difference design firms with media experts suffer an increase in cost of capital by 120 to 300 basis points per year that is attributed to liquidity beta. The finding that board member induced managed media coverage reduces liquidity beta complements the findings of other papers studying the liquidity impact of press coverage in other contexts (see Bushee, Core, Guay, and Hamm,2010; Solomon, 2009; and Soltes, 2009). If having media on board increases future press coverage, but dampens asset prices through the liquidity channel, why would firms actively seek such board members? A simple cost/benefit analysis suggests that firms should get something out of having such people on board. Media experts may help hire better public/investor relation firms or consultants. In other words, such board members may provide connections to media and related industries (e.g., advertising, public relations). Given that advertising spending is also a big revenue item for media companies, firms would benefit from media expertise on board through efficient allocation of advertising expenditures. Consistent with this interpretation, I find reduction in cost of capital as measured by reduced exposure to Fama and French s HML factor. Because

I will argue that the practice of paid domestic work cannot be reformed and made equitable for three main reasons. The reasons are as follows: 1) This form of work is not regarded as an actual job or employment by many 2) The practice of domestic work is embedded in racial roots and practice 3) There isn t a market for individuals volunteering to do paid domestic work. For the sake of this argument, I will focus on the care of children as the only form of paid domestic work, particularly the children of privileged or upper middle class families executed by women who are minorities. When thinking about a traditional job with an employer and employee, nannies are not the first to come to mind. When working as a nannyyou are expected to tend to three different things: the children, the house, and the lifestyle and values of the employer. This line comes from the book Lord of The Flies a book about a group of boys stranded trying to create a colony, and all of the troubles they face. A number of the troubles they actually face come from their own doing, arising because of the way that they learned to behave very masculinely. The boys are all trying to appear dominant and repress their emotions so they don t look weak or feminine to the other boys, much like how men in today s culture try to do. So, what would happen if boys were brought up in a more supportive and less harsh culture? Would men appear more communicative and open to their emotions, or would they stay the same? Boys and men growing and maturing in today s society should not be pressured into suppressing emotions and killing all semi feminine parts about themselves. When men and boys are trying to show no emotion and appear dominant to their peers, nobody wins. Men are taught this from a young age, to grow up and be a Man . • 49. Eminent Domain Purposes 1.When does a taking occur for eminent domain purposes? Refer to the Lucas case. Eminent domain refers to the inherent power of the state to take or seize the private property of its individual citizens. Property taken through eminent domain is mainly set aside for the development of public utilities or assigned to a third party who is then supposed to use it for the general good of the public (Larson, 2004). There are generally four types of takings employed by the state through eminent domain. These are: a.Complete Taking This is where the state seizes an entire propertyin for public use. In the case of Lucas v. South Carolina Coastal Council (1992), the plaintiff was entitled to compensation as a result of the complete taking of his land. However the Supreme Court denied him any compensation stating that the restriction imposed on the use of the land was in the interest of the general public due to the intended use of the land. Therefore the Takings Clause does not apply in this case in spite of the economic benefits lost incurred as a result of the complete taking of his property. b.Partial Taking The state in this case takes a portion of a particular property mainly for the expansion of the existing utilities. The owner of the property is liable for compensation in regard to the piece of land seized and any resulting decline in the value of the remaining property. c.Temporary Taking The government may require a piece of land to be used as a site when
