People have different beliefs about who our ancestors are. In other words, how humans came
into existence on the mother Earth, and who they were. There are many different types of origin

The mental health of individuals living with schizophrenia not only depends on the severity of their
mental illness, it also depends on their inclusion within their community (Michael, 2012). Despite
recent advances and treatment, individuals suffering from schizophrenia encounter a considerable
stigma that creates barriers to them receiving adequate treatment which in turn hinders their full
integration into society (Morgan, 2003). The conceptualization of stigma was explored (Goffman,
1963) as an attribute which is deeply socially discrediting and makes the person carrying the
stigma different from others and of a less desirable kind (Goffman, 1963 pg 13). However, the
individual experiencing schizophrenia is not solely the person affected by stigmatization. Stigma is
also believed to affect the individual s social network, including family, friends and mental health
and social care professionals. However (Sayce, 2000), building on the work of Goffman s theory,
saw stigma as driving stereotypes or negative views, attributed to a person, marginalising the person
from receiving adequate treatment. Much research has been conducted to aid understanding of

the nature of the sources. However, this highlights the large amount of bias evident in all of the
accounts. For the colonial perspective, there are two statements, each from a member of a colonial
militiathat fought during the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Both of these sources place the
blame on the British soldiers and claim that the British fired first, killing several colonists. One
account, from the Battle of North Bridge, claims that the colonists were ordered to hold their fire
and that they didn t fire until the British opened fire upon them. The other account, from soldier
who fought during the skirmish at the LexingtonGreen, states that the colonists did not even get a

rubrics to model good writing with the short and extended responses. We went through each of
the features of the short response first and showed students different examples of student s
writing. They then had to grade the student according to if it deserved 2 points, 1 point, or 0

pensive, practical, subtle style that slyly provokes the audience to think about their own fate.
The collective theme of the two poems is similar in that both explain that death is imminent, that
individuals should not take for granted the time they have left on Earth, and that people need
courage to face death, and to realize that death can wait. However, Thomas utilizes an ardent,
compelling tone to assert his beliefs that individuals should partake in a more dynamic role and
