Michael Kors: Internal issues: Cheap material, Fad?, Hasn t been around long enough in the light.
Strengths: cost advantage, online growth, loyal customers, brand equity
Weaknesses: not innovative, not diversified, poor supply chain, brand recognition
Enviroment: Bootlegs/Knockoffs
Opportunities: emerging markets, innovation, online
Threats: competition, cheaper technology, price wars
Competitors Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Luis Vitton

I want our target group to believe through our product that we will stay committed to giving them the
newest, hottest fashion with an emphasis on quality.
Product: Fossil makes watches for Michael Kors and of date the accessory line hasn t been graced by
any strong branded company yet Our accessory line will be designed by innovative creators who are
destined to obtain brand recognition instead of unknown designers that lack forward sight. Our
materials for our new lines will include tribal print and animal print, through extensive research we
have conclude that this will be a wave of fashion that if handled correctly will have a staying power
that is detrimental in the handbag business.
Price: Designer watches of course will be affected by the cost of research and acquisition of a
reputable designer but for the brand to be recognized they will have to start creating a slide, ie, a
current price is 375$ for a rose gold plated watch. It has been noted that these watches turn colors after
limited use. A partnership with Movado will enhance the novelty and the price so expect to be seeing
1000$ being a price for a watch, if only as to secure this market. Handbags also will need an upheaval
in price so far. Note, prices in the range of 5000 7500$ for a bag with tribal print and/or animal print
this will give the consumer recognition of this brand in a non fad way.

The Internal Revenue Service ( Irs )
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is part of the Department of the United States Treasury. It is one
of the most efficient tax administrators in the world. During fiscal year 2012, the IRS $2.5 trillion in
revenue and processed 237 million tax returns. For every $100 it collected in fiscal year 2012, the IRS
spent a mere 48 cents. The mission of the IRS is to provide U.S. taxpayers a top quality service by
helping them pay their taxes, enforce the laws regarding taxes, and assist taxpayers with
understanding their taxes. The IRS values integrity and fairness for all taxpayers. In the U.S.,
Congress passes tax laws and taxpayers are required to comply. The taxpayer s role is to understand
his/her tax obligations and meet them. The IRS role is to help taxpayers be compliant and pursue those
who do not pay their fair share.
The Internal Revenue Code, section 7801, organizes the IRS to carry out the responsibilities of the
secretary of the Treasury. The secretary is granted full authority to administer and enforce the tax laws
and has the power to create the agency (IRS) to enforce those laws. In 1862, President Lincoln and
Congress created an income tax to pay war expenses and the position of commissioner of Internal
Revenue was created. Ten years later, the income tax was repealed. Congress reenacted the tax in 1894
and the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional in 1895. It wasn t until 1913, when Wyoming ratified
the 16th Amendment (giving Congress the

Upon his grandfather s death, it fell to Samuel to sort...
Upon his grandfather s death, it fell to Samuel to sort through former possessions. Samuel found
himself now in the dusty, cobwebbed attic of the old home, surrounded by a constellation of aged
trinkets: faded old photographs, medals and trophies from long distant contests, a plethora of dusty
and worthless relics. Samuel quickly surveyed the items, shuffling through boxes and turning the
occasional object over in his hand. It was depressing, sorting through this collection. It reminded him
of death and the ephemerality of existence. These objects had meaning once, but that meaning died
along with Samuel s grandfather.
What happens to an item when its owner dies? Nothing physical changes, but there is a fundamental
transformation; an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The mist coalesced before him, forming at last into a monstrous blue dragon head, which looked down
at him and grinned.
Samuel, the dragon spoke in a deep, booming voice, by touching the arcane tablet, you have
summoned me from the realm of spirits. I have awoken in order to grant you three wishes. Only when
your wishes have been granted, may I return to my slumber.
Samuel was stunned, his mind reeling as he struggled to come to grips with what he was experiencing.
Is this a dream? Am I hallucinating? When he finally got a hold of himself, he turned his attention
back to the dragon head floating before him.
What are you? Samuel asked.
I am a Djinn , the dragon answered, I exist to serve one purpose.
To grant wishes?
Yes I will grant you three wishes, the dragon repeated.
Well... Samuel thought for a moment, what can I wish for?
You may wish for anything you desire. If it is in my power, then your wish will be granted, the dragon
answered. Samuel believed the dragon.
Samuel thought long and hard. He had to be careful what he wished for. Whatever wish he made, he
had to leave no loopholes and make sure to avoid any unintended consequences. Sometimes the most
seemingly insignificant actions can have profound and unexpected consequences. Maybe it is simply
too dangerous to make any wishes, Samuel thought. Maybe no one is smart enough to ensure the
complete safety of a wish. Then an idea occurred to him. He had an idea for the perfect wish

Characteristics Of Feudal Monarchs
Monarch
During the High Middle Ages, feudal monarchs began to exercise royal authority. Some succeeded in
centralizing power and built the framework for nation states, for example, Britain and France.
Monarchs play the highest economic role or social hierarchy under the priest. King John, for example,
was a clever, cruel and untrustworthy ruler. He caused challenges for his economy by creating
enemies with other rulers such as King Philip II, and Pope Innocent III. He even turned away his own
English nobles. John suffered his first setback when he lost a war with King Philip II. He had to give
up his land in both Anjou and Normandy. John then battled with Pope Innocent III over selecting a
new archbishop of Canterbury. He rejected the pope s nominee. This led to the pope excluding and
preventing him and his entire kingdom from participating in church services. John had to accept
England as a fief of the papacy and pay a yearly fee to Rome. On the other hand, a potential benefit
was the Magna Carta. It was a document John was forced to sign. It affirmed a long list of feudal
rights that gave rights to the towns people. It would also shape political and legal traditions in
England. Furthermore, it made it clear that the monarch must obey the law.
Nobles
Nobles could both be men or women. Their economic role is directly under the monarch and side by
side with the clergy. Noblemen balanced an interesting combination of activities and responsibilities
throughout their daily

I am lucky. My fascination with computer began at an early age, ever since the time I got my first
desktop, true it began with playing several computer games at first. But then as time went by and I
moved to high school, I got allured by the computer science concepts and fundamentals that
elucidated the workings of a computer.
I was brought up in a family that not only allowed me my intellectual pursuits but helped foster them.
I received lot of support from my aunt and my mother, since they were the first ones to understand the
strengths in my skillset. I grew up with the notion that Computer Science is of utmost importance to us
and will continue doing so in the far future. I strongly believe the forthcoming of mankind will be
strongly influenced by the technology offered by computer science. So at an early age, I began
associating myself with fathoming the depths of the information technology. While in middle school, I
became an active member of the computer club, where we were taught the basics of programming and

Iconic Photo In The Vietnam War
During the Vietnam War in 1966, women and children flee villages being bombarded by the Viet Cong
in hopes that they could survive. The photograph presented depicts women and children crouching
down in a muddy canal as they take cover from an intense Viet Cong fire at Bao Trai, about twenty
miles west of Saigon, Vietnam. This represents an iconic photo because it elicits emotion from the
expressions and intensity of the subject, the photo cannot be repeated because of its candid nature and
its vision of a moment in time, and its historical and social values to those effected by the Vietnam
War. An iconic photo is a photograph that has a moral or thematic element which is important to its
historical context and meaning. First of all, this photo is iconic because it elicits many emotions within
the congregation. These mental states present themselves in the faces of the women and children in the
canal, one of which is a young girl with the look of fear on her face. Fear is the most focused element
of the Vietnam War because it illustrates the entirety of the war. Her face captures the angst ... Show

Burial Urns
Although many people might expect that burial urns have been used for a lot longer than they have,
the actual ritual and mentality behind these kinds of urns is very much different to what you may have
expected in the first place. Having looked into this considerably over the years, we understand the
importance of knowing the culture and style behind the products we sell and this includes the history
of burial urns.
Burial urns have a long and proud history, and have been used in various forms of civilization over the
years, ranging back as far as 7000BC. These have been found in some of the earliest Jiahu sites that
are located in China, as well as places like Shaanxi and Yangshao of which some of the urns come
from the years 5000 3000BC. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the old Kings of Bavaria used to keep their hearts in an urn after they died. In terms of
the typical cremation urns, though, these were used by the Chinese civilizations noted above as well as
a whole host of different Pre Columbian cultures that have spanned the length of time.
Romans, for example, used to place the urns in large tombs that acted as a place for many souls to rest
instead of just individual placing throughout time and history. This makes a massive difference in
terms of the way that the burial urns come together, and ensures that large resting places became a
common thing. The history of burial urns has changed quite a lot as new discoveries are made;
however, as it was found that during the Bronze Age in England the urns were hidden carefully and
expertly, as was detailed in Sir Thomas Browne s compendium Hydriotaphia or Urn Burial.
In the modern world, the change and growth in the burial urn culture has been quite remarkable.
Cremation urns tend to be made in various styles and formats now whereas it was very common to

Heating Appliances Carry A Disease Transmission Risk
A Thermoplastic device is one of the immobilization devices used to immobilize cancer patients
during radiation therapy treatment, such as head and neck cancers. One way to form a thermoplastic
device is to use one of the heating devices that are specifically designed to fabricate customized
thermoplastic immobilization in the optimal conditions. The patients may be at risk of infection from
heating devices used to produce their masks. In this study, authors assess individual facility practices
where water baths or other heating appliances are used to fabricate thermoplastic immobilization
devices to determine whether heating appliances carry a disease transmission risk. The author s
purpose, approach or methods, hypothesis, and major conclusions. Purpose To determine whether
heating appliances used to fabricate customized thermoplastic immobilization devices carry a disease
transmission risk. Background Current literature provides ample evidence that water baths used in
health care settings are potential reservoirs for microorganisms associated with patient infections.
Such results suggest a similar potential for heating appliances used to fabricate thermoplastic forms.
Methods The authors conducted on site surveys of both equipment and procedures used to produce
immobilization forms in several medical facilities. Each heating appliance was sampled for its
microbial content and the data analyzed for growth trends. Results Twelve heating appliances were
sampled. Five (42%)

The bodies are unearthed, cleaned, and stacked on an elaborate float, gloriously decorated by the

Alexander The Great Reputation
The Great Historical Reputation Alexander the Great, also known as Alexander the third, was the king
of Macedonia a Greece kingdom. Alexander was also known by many to be a member of the Argead
dynasty. The Argead dynasty was a group house for only rulers. Many may believe Alexander earned
his legacy, respect and reputation after his father s reputation however that is not accurate. Alexander
earned his legacy by working hard and building his own name. He succeeded greatly, won wars and
extended the empire. His father Philip was the king of Macedonia as well. Phillip was actively
engaging in wars/ battles, made an expansionist policy and by doing other things benefiting the
Macedonian people. That is how Philip maintained his respect as a king. After reading the issue in

how Alexander the Great had his first victory in the Asia minor. After he expanded to Asia the culture
was very different there then the rest of his empire. The Asia minor was an important event. As stated
by the author Alexander and Parmenion crossed the Hellespont and attacked the local Persian army
(Lendering. 1). This was a major accomplishment for Alexander, attacking an army is not easy, even

The Case Of Murphy Vs Brentwood District Council
The fundamental principle with respect to latent damage was already set out by Lord Bridge in a well
known case of Murphy vs Brentwood District Council (1991) 1 AC 398 that if a builder builds a
structure that comprises a latent defect which later causes the injury to person or any damage to other
property, he will be liable in tort. However, if the latent defect just damages the building or system
itself and can be repaired at a cost, then that loss will be purely economic loss and cannot be recovered
in tort. Before the Murphy vs Brentwood case it was thought that one element of a building could be
considered as distinct from another element, so that damage to one part of the structure/element
caused by an unseen defect in another part ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

power and equality/race. Although many students were already familiar with these topics, many of

Stimulus And Brand Selection
This study is an attempt to fill the gaps identified in the available literature on the association of
stimulus and brand selection. The present study measured the stimulus and its impact on brand
selection or purchase decision in the Indian online retail. To assess this relationship, different models
have been designed to investigate and measure the stimulus. For investigation purposes, a qualitative
model has been developed and presented in Chapters earlier. This model prioritized the various factors
of stimulus in context of the online retail. Next to this, the measurement aspect of stimulus was
addressed by the development of a quantitative model shown in Chapters earlier. This model has been
used to develop and validate the scale for the measurement of stimulus in the Indian online retail. The
present study comprises of the following: A broad and thorough literature review has been conducted
on the association of stimulus and brand purchase decision. The literature review consists of the

Are You Looking For A Web Based Program
Image Are you looking for a web based program that is aligned with the Common Core Standards in
the major content areas? Are you looking for a program that will analyze the performance of every
student as they complete standard based tasks? Do you need a data driven application that can inform
and support your instruction? Well, IXL is one web based program that you may want to consider for
your classroom. As long as you have a connection to the Internet, you will be able to utilize this
program. IXL can easily be accessed using the link: www.IXL.com. Features First and foremost, this
program has activities for learning that are directly aligned with the Common Core Standards. It also
has the ability to connect to several state standards that may not be aligned with the Common Core.
This is extremely important for general education, special education, and English Language Learner
educators as it is imperative to demonstrate that all activities that are being used in the classroom
directly relate to the standards that are upheld by the state. There are often times where it can be
difficult to meet state standards with students who have interrupted formal education or are
newcomers who are just beginning to learn the English language. Therefore, this program is great to
show that we are reaching the needs of our diverse learners while also meeting the high standards that
we uphold in our classrooms. An additional feature that this program offers is the ability to

Essay about The Roman Military Reforms institued by Gaius...
The hypothesis of this report is that the military reforms instituted by Gaius Marius ultimately paved
the way for the fall of the Roman Republic. The reforms instituted by Marius were designed as a way
to strengthen the Republic by professionalizing the Roman military, but instead resulted in long term
political consequences that contributed to the decline of the Republic and the creation of the Empire.
In this report, the decline of the republic specifically refers to the loss of the Senate s authority over
Rome s generals. From 112 106 BC, a Numidian king called Jurgurtha was engaged in a war with
Rome due to an attempt to seize power from his half brother, Adherbal. The Romans arrived due to the
request of Adherbal, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As many of these new recruits did not fit in these categories, and were unable to provide their own
equipment, Marius arranged for the State to supply them with arms and armour. He then offered the
masses a permanent career as professional soldiers, and the opportunity to gain spoils on the
campaign. With little hope of gaining status in other ways, the masses flocked to join Marius. The
cause of this reform was largely due to recurring recruitment problems faced by the Roman republic,
as most soldiers were expected to return to their farms after long campaigns, but since the campaigns
were becoming increasingly longer due to the distance of the conflicts from rome, the farms were left
deserted and ruined do to prolonged absence of workers. As such, the returning soldiers found
themselves without property making them illegible for military service, thus weakening the army.
(William G. Sinnigen) As such, Marius believed these deficiencies in the Roman army recruitment
system needed urgent attention, and his solution was to offer those with nothing the ability to have
everything. Along with the new recruitment system, Marius also improved and enhanced the military
training by basing it upon those used and developed by gladiators and also abolished the three
different types of soldiers, each armed and positioned by rank and experience, with cohorts of men
universally armed and created the use of the eagle as the standard for

Speech Reflection Essay
During speech class this semester, I gave several different types of speeches on several different
topics. During this semester, my ability to give speeches in front of an audience has improved quite a
bit, I hope. Going into the semester, I had a really hard time giving speeches to people, but now that
speech is almost over I feel like I am more capable of doing so. I think the thing I did best during the
semester was getting good information for each of my speeches. My favorite assignment was most
likely the impromptu speech. I really liked that one because we did not have to prepare an outline or
anything like that, we just got to go up there and speak. During this semester, I learned a lot about how
to give speeches such as the proper way to stand so I do not rock, or how to use my hands to
emphasize my points. In the future, I think that I will be able to control my speed better during my
speeches which will help the people I am presenting to understand my message. I think the skills I
have acquired during speech will help me for the rest of my life. No matter what career I choose, I am
sure that at some point I will have to present to someone about something. The skills I learned in
speech will also help me just communicate with people in a one on one situation easier than I do now.
I can use these skills throughout the rest of high school and through my six years of college still to
come because whenever I have to present a project I will know how to effectively communicate my
message to my audience.
Based off of all of my reflection sheets, video evaluations, and peer critiques I have improved over the
course of the semester. At the beginning of the semester I had a problem with speed and using to many
filler words. As the year progressed, my speed became more and more controllable and I used less and
less filler words. After my most recent speech, I m still not quite at the level I want to be at, but I am
far better than I was at the very beginning. I think just speaking in front of people more than I am used
to doing has helped me develop better speaking skills and grow in my ability to effectively
communicate with others. Throughout the semester I learned a lot about speaking, performing, and

Maria Orrego PSYC 2001: Cross Cultural Psychology 13 March 2016 Measuring Intelligence
Through Objective, Culturally Unbiased Testing It takes something more than intelligence to act
intelligently. ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment One might dare to define intelligence as
the ability to obtain and apply knowledge and skills, or as the capacity to learn, comprehend, or deal
with new or difficult situation in order to adapt to or modify our environment or to process abstract
thoughts. However, on a paper defined by Shane and Hutter as a survey of a large number of informal
definitions of intelligence that [they] collected over the years (A Collection of Definitions, 2007), the
authors acknowledged that a complete list would be impossible as many definitions of intelligence are
buried deep inside articles and books (idem). Beyond their own recognition about the limits of their
compilation, even after careful analysis carried out by philosophers, psychologists and other scientists
throughout human history, still there is not a definite, cover all definition of intelligence. Maybe we
still do not possess sufficient intelligence to reach such achievement at this point of our evolution.
Notwithstanding, for the purposes of this work, I will attempt to provide a comprehensive definition
or, should it be possible, a series of definitions based on varied criteria. In attempting so, I will begin
by taking into consideration the categories proposed by

Advantages And Disadvantages Of A Farmer
Farmer, the perfect profession?
This article will provide information of what being a farmer is, what is needed to become one, a
common routine and some positive and negative facts of this profession.
A farmer is a person who owns a farm and or takes care of it . Farmers normally perform two kinds of
professional activities: one is related with animals and the other with plants. The first one includes all
the process of breeding livestock, such as cattle, sheep, pig and goats. On the other hand we have the
work of agriculture; it consists on the growing of different kinds of plants for human or animal
consumption and products used for the development human life. Nowadays these two activities can be
performed separately, and that is why this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being in constant contact with nature is one of the most common statements made by different
farmers. Seeing a deer crossing happily through the fields is beautiful to see and it is not within reach
of other jobs. In addition to this, you are the one establishing your working hours and your way of
working it is your responsibility to choose when and how you want to work. Contrary to popular
belief, farmers are able to develop their creativity as they can try to perform new techniques of
sowing, for example, or, they can invent new devices to improve their work. Another important aspect
is that your work is going to be different through the years because every harvest is going to be
different from the previous one. Becoming a farmer will teach a lot of new things, not only about
plants and crops, but also you are likely to become a weather forecast. For example if the clouds of the
sky look like stone pavement it is very possible that the next day is going to rain. Consuming your
own harvest is one of the most rewarding experiences and the taste of your own production is not
going to taste the same as the products bought in the

Metaphors As A Metaphor
Morgan s metaphors personified: Auto bot a new way of understanding and theorizing about the
organizations Theories are built from abstractions known as concepts. Metaphors have long been in
use to describe organizations and development of organizational theory. In order to understand
abstract concepts, it is of fundamental importance to know how metaphor works. Different scholars
within the field of organizational research have acknowledged this (e.g. Morgan 1980; Weick 1989;
Cornelissen 2005; Putman Boys 2006). Within the field of linguistics, probably no phenomenon has
been as well researched as metaphor (Steen 2007). Research shows that for language users, it is
inevitable to use metaphor when dealing with abstract concepts. Metaphors therefore play a key role
in the construction of reality (Lakoff Johnson 1999). Use of metaphors always has limitations which
are mentioned by Gareth Morgan the Author of the famous classic book on organizational theory,
images of organization . While introducing the famous eight metaphors used for developing
organizational theories he mentions that metaphors help explain, but they also distort. They have ...

We All Fall Down Themes
The most prominent theme that appears in We All Fall Down is the idea that seems to be that Violence
begets Violence. It s a violent place in the real world, and it s just as true in the book. With the violent
vandalism carried out by the Trashers, and their criminal violence towards Karen Jerome, the entire
town shifts into a more aggressive and more solicitous. This causes character changes: The Avengers
need for righteous justice comes forth once again as well as, Jane s father turning into a depressed
person but in a moment s notice ready to throttle the person/people who trashed his house without a
second thought. These two examples show us how two people can change into more vigorous. This
idea of aggression that is brought on by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Book vs Movie, Disappointment in the Difference of Gone...
The first time I saw the film adaptation of a book I had read, I was appalled at the changes that had
been made to the story. Both Gone With the Wind , the movie, and Gone With the Wind , the book, tell
an epic story of life in Georgia at the time of the Civil War and Reconstruction Era and the effect of
the war on the life of a spoiled Southern belle, Scarlett O Hara. But there are significant differences in
the characters, events and perspectives that made me realize that a screen adaptation will never be able
to capture the details and background stories that are included in a novel.
Characters
. For those who have never read the book, the characters are defined by the actors who portrayed them
and not necessarily by the way ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This change completely altered the significance of the attack and the subsequent events.
Events
In the movie there are a couple of instances where the order of events is changed. For example, in the
movie Melanie and Ashley get married first but in the book Scarlett and Charles get married first.
Because Melanie was engaged first, it was protocol that she should be married first, but in the book
Scarlett specifically planned her wedding to occur before Melanie s. For the reader, this illustrates
how conniving Scarlett was but the movie goer does not get this insight into Scarlett s personality. In
the movie, Melanie is the first to donate her wedding ring to the cause, and Scarlett follows suit; in the
book, Scarlett is the first to put her ring in the basket. Scarlett s donation of her ring was not really a
sacrifice because it didn t have any sentimental value to her. In the movie, Rhett Butler returns the
rings to both of the women but in the book he only returns Melanie s ring. There are a couple of
significant changes in the scenes regarding the escape of Scarlett, Melanie and Prissy from Atlanta.
The importance of finding the cow as was completely understated in the movie. Melanie had no milk
and her baby was starving so, without the cow, the baby would have died. .An event that was
completely added to the movie was the rain storm they encountered night they escaped. There was no
rain in the book.

Hong Kong With Our Newest Acquisition Yammer
In conclusion I recommend we expand to Hong Kong with our newest acquisition Yammer.
When we look at the financial health of the company and our current ratio is 2.50 meaning for every
dollar the company owes it has $2.50 of assets, and the quick ratio is 2.44. These are huge and strong
ratios and the main reason I know the company can expand its operations overseas with this new
product. The tax situation is Hong Kong is very attractive to all types of companies. The rates here in
the United States the company pays 27.1%, while in Hong Kong the tax rate is only 16%. This tax
saving alone has the ability to increase profits. The company s debt is very low as indicated by the
debt ratio of
.48, so fir every .48 cents the company owns $1.00 worth of assets. The company currently generates
.13cents in profit for every one dollar in profit. These ratios will go up with less of a tax burden. If we
take the 16% tax and apply it to gross profits we show a nice increase in net profit and all the financial
ratios go up respectively. This potential addition profit will benefit current and future shareholders
with elevated dividends and more retained earnings which we can use to finance other operations or
expand the operation that I am proposing.
I feel we can expand this potential operation after only 2 years. I feel that time frame will allow us the
opportunity to fine tune the Yammer product for the Pacific Rim, while still offering the existing
product for transplants in this

An Analysis Of Lucky Jim By Kingsley Amis
Entitled and Not Entitled In Lucky Jim, by Kingsley Amis that Dixon is the one that gets everything
he wants. It might not seem that he is getting what he wants at the beginning. It is not like that because
yes he was dating Margaret. She wanted to kill herself because Dixon was not being with her or
treating her like she wanted to be treated. Which during those hard moments he was going through it
was just like a test in life for better to come in a way. Having to be entitled makes kids or people very
selfish. For example there is nine ways that you know your child has an issue or is entitled. They can
not handle disappointments, expect a prize when they are behaving good, feels that rules do not have
to apply to them, constantly wants more, blames others when it is their fault, and expects to be rescued
when they have a problem. It is like when kids feel that are better than any other kids or people. Being
entitled is something it seems that does not happen to him. Eventually it does though he has a girl that
is one of the biggest things that makes him feel good at first. Then seeing his girl being obsessed with
him makes him alil uncomfortable. He makes a move that gets a little away from her. Which yes she
pretends to commit suicide to get the attention. That is why he does not break up with her feeling bad
for her. Though people just feel bad for her of the way she acts. He is a poor guy that struggles in his
job well trying to keep his job. Gets frustrated really quick has a bad mood sometimes. Amis says ,
Dixon knew all this , and very much better than Welch could hope to, but he felt constrained to say:
Yes , I see. I think living with you, Professor, and Mrs. Welch, must have helped her a lot to get out of
the wood (Amis 3). Shows that she is in good care or you can say good hands. Dixon is still worried
about her which make him a really good boyfriend, but she wants more than that. Margaret wants him
to be by herself but he really does not want to be in that position because he lost those types of
feelings for her. There is so much love for him that he does not notice that it is there next to him
asking to open the doors or him. He seems that no one is there for him but many people is actually

gone through numerous changes such as shellshock going through many changes finally being to what
it is known as today as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as best described the late George Carlin. Today
there are large groups that urge political correctness to the masses in an attempt to end discrimination

how political correct language is more focused on the words itself rather than the content behind. As

Essay on the vikings
Viking age has long been associated with uncontrolled piracy, when bandits swarmed out of the
northlands in their ships to burn and pillage their way across civilized Europe. During this period
much progress was achieved in terms of Scandinavian art and craftsmanship, marine technology,
exploration, and the development of commerce. It seems the Vikings did as much trading as they did
raiding. The title quot;Viking quot; includes a wide description of Nordic people; Danes, Swedes, and
Norwegians, who lived during a period of brisk Scandinavian expansion in the middle ages, from
approximately
800 to 1100 AD. This name may be derived from the old Norse vik(bay or creek). These people came

Ottar visited King Alfred as a peaceful trader at the same time as Alfred was waging war with other
Viking chieftains. The expansion of the Vikings was probably triggered by a population growth out
stepping the capacities of domestic resources. Archaeological evidence shows that new farms were
cleared in sparsely populated forests at the time of their expansion.
The abundance of iron in their region and their ability to forge it into weapons and arm everyone
setting off on raids helped give the
Vikings the upper hand in most battles.
The first recorded Viking raid occurred in 793 AD, the holy island of the Lindisfarne monastery just
off the Northeast shoulder of England was pillaged, around the same time, there are recorded reports
of raids elsewhere in Europe. There are narratives of raids in the Mediterranean, and as far as the
Caspian Sea. Norsemen from Kiev even attempted an attack on Constantinople, the capital of the
Byzantine Empire. Unfortunately, in the picture handed down to us in written accounts, the Vikings
are portrayed as terrible robbers and bandits, this is strictly a single sided view; and, while the above
statement is probably true, they had other traits as well. Some of their leaders were very skillful
organizers, as evidenced by the fact that they were

Decriminalizing Prostitution
Prostitution, commonly referred to as the world s oldest profession, is a divisive issue due to the
religious nature of the argument. Few arguments exist against the decriminalization of prostitutes
themselves that are not rooted in personal belief and morality. The Bible rejects prostitution, so the
masses do as well. But lack of religious bias is of utmost importance when considering public policy
in a nation with freedom of religion; therefore, the biggest factors to consider regarding prostitution
policy are how it will affect the physical health, social progress, and prevalence of human trafficking
in the nation. Prostitution will continue to exist as it always had regardless of its legal status. It is the

While proponents of prostitution legalization claim it promotes women s independence and autonomy,
opponents argue that it exploits and objectifies women. In terms of putting ideology into practice,
criminalization fails. The neoconservative ideology behind criminalization implies that women are
unfit to make their own decisions about their sexuality. Under criminalization in the United States,
females are arrested at much higher rates than males, despite the fact that when including johns,
pimps, and brothel owners, there are probably more men involved in the practice (McKim 1).
Additionally, every state (except some parts of Nevada) in the U.S. criminalizes women who sell sex,
but only half of those states also have laws criminalizing men who buy sex (Mathieson 374). This
discriminatory enforcement of prostitution laws undermines the gender equality this country is trying
to achieve. The legalization and regulation of prostitution argues that the best way to promote women
s autonomy is by allowing them to take control of their own bodies and choose their own profession.
Due to the imbalance between men and women within the sex trade, legalization advocates support
allowing the exchange of sexual services for money between consenting adults. It is a victimless
crime; however the question remains whether it perpetuates a culture of objectification of women.

Theme Of God And Justice In The Duchess Of Malfi
Webster s play is set in a Universe where God and Justice are absent.
Our paper focusses on the significance of God and justice in John Webster s plays, in particular The
Duchess of Malfi, and how god and justice are not particularly evident in his tragedies. The Duchess
of Malfi is one of those Italian stories, full of hatred, wrath and wickedness, of which the Elizabethans
were so fond. Firstly, we will begin with an outline of Elizabethan Revenge Tragedy; where the
passion of revenge, motivated by subsidiary passions of anger, jealousy, pride, ambition or envy, was
not held to be a crime, but rather the most befitting and just way to right a wrong, as was evident in
the case of Bosola, who Killed Cardinal and Ferdinard on realizing that he has been duped by them
into committing a grave sin of killing the innocent Duchess. In the God fearing Elizabethan Age (1558

message about Artificial Intelligence, that is, when you create or utilize an AI robot with human like

I want our target group to believe through our product that we will stay committed to giving them the newest, hottest fashion with an emphasis on quality. Product: Fossil makes watches for Michael Kors and of date the accessory line hasn t been graced by any strong branded company yet Our accessory line will be designed by innovative creators who are destined to obtain brand recognition instead of unknown designers that lack forward sight. Our materials for our new lines will include tribal print and animal print, through extensive research we have conclude that this will be a wave of fashion that if handled correctly will have a staying power that is detrimental in the handbag business. Price: Designer watches of course will be affected by the cost of research and acquisition of a reputable designer but for the brand to be recognized they will have to start creating a slide, ie, a current price is 375$ for a rose gold plated watch. It has been noted that these watches turn colors after limited use. A partnership with Movado will enhance the novelty and the price so expect to be seeing 1000$ being a price for a watch, if only as to secure this market. Handbags also will need an upheaval in price so far. Note, prices in the range of 5000 7500$ for a bag with tribal print and/or animal print

  • 4. The Internal Revenue Service ( Irs ) The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is part of the Department of the United States Treasury. It is one of the most efficient tax administrators in the world. During fiscal year 2012, the IRS $2.5 trillion in revenue and processed 237 million tax returns. For every $100 it collected in fiscal year 2012, the IRS spent a mere 48 cents. The mission of the IRS is to provide U.S. taxpayers a top quality service by helping them pay their taxes, enforce the laws regarding taxes, and assist taxpayers with understanding their taxes. The IRS values integrity and fairness for all taxpayers. In the U.S., Congress passes tax laws and taxpayers are required to comply. The taxpayer s role is to understand his/her tax obligations and meet them. The IRS role is to help taxpayers be compliant and pursue those who do not pay their fair share. The Internal Revenue Code, section 7801, organizes the IRS to carry out the responsibilities of the secretary of the Treasury. The secretary is granted full authority to administer and enforce the tax laws and has the power to create the agency (IRS) to enforce those laws. In 1862, President Lincoln and Congress created an income tax to pay war expenses and the position of commissioner of Internal Revenue was created. Ten years later, the income tax was repealed. Congress reenacted the tax in 1894 and the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional in 1895. It wasn t until 1913, when Wyoming ratified the 16th Amendment (giving Congress the ... Samuel found himself now in the dusty, cobwebbed attic of the old home, surrounded by a constellation of aged trinkets: faded old photographs, medals and trophies from long distant contests, a plethora of dusty and worthless relics. Samuel quickly surveyed the items, shuffling through boxes and turning the occasional object over in his hand. It was depressing, sorting through this collection. It reminded him of death and the ephemerality of existence. These objects had meaning once, but that meaning died along with Samuel s grandfather. What happens to an item when its owner dies? Nothing physical changes, but there is a fundamental transformation; an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The mist coalesced before him, forming at last into a monstrous blue dragon head, which looked down at him and grinned. Samuel, the dragon spoke in a deep, booming voice, by touching the arcane tablet, you have summoned me from the realm of spirits. I have awoken in order to grant you three wishes. Only when your wishes have been granted, may I return to my slumber. Samuel was stunned, his mind reeling as he struggled to come to grips with what he was experiencing. Is this a dream? Am I hallucinating? When he finally got a hold of himself, he turned his attention back to the dragon head floating before him. What are you? Samuel asked. I am a Djinn , the dragon answered, I exist to serve one purpose. To grant wishes? Yes I will grant you three wishes, the dragon repeated. Well... Samuel thought for a moment, what can I wish for? You may wish for anything you desire. If it is in my power, then your wish will be granted, the dragon answered. Samuel believed the dragon. Samuel thought long and hard. He had to be careful what he wished for. Whatever wish he made, he had to leave no loopholes and make sure to avoid any unintended consequences. Sometimes the most seemingly insignificant actions can have profound and unexpected consequences. Maybe it is simply too dangerous to make any wishes, Samuel thought. Maybe no one is smart enough to ensure the complete safety of a wish. Then an idea occurred to him. He had an idea for the perfect wish ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Characteristics Of Feudal Monarchs Monarch During the High Middle Ages, feudal monarchs began to exercise royal authority. Some succeeded in centralizing power and built the framework for nation states, for example, Britain and France. Monarchs play the highest economic role or social hierarchy under the priest. King John, for example, was a clever, cruel and untrustworthy ruler. He caused challenges for his economy by creating enemies with other rulers such as King Philip II, and Pope Innocent III. He even turned away his own English nobles. John suffered his first setback when he lost a war with King Philip II. He had to give up his land in both Anjou and Normandy. John then battled with Pope Innocent III over selecting a new archbishop of Canterbury. He rejected the pope s nominee. This led to the pope excluding and preventing him and his entire kingdom from participating in church services. John had to accept England as a fief of the papacy and pay a yearly fee to Rome. On the other hand, a potential benefit was the Magna Carta. It was a document John was forced to sign. It affirmed a long list of feudal rights that gave rights to the towns people. It would also shape political and legal traditions in England. Furthermore, it made it clear that the monarch must obey the law. Nobles Nobles could both be men or women. Their economic role is directly under the monarch and side by side with the clergy. Noblemen balanced an interesting combination of activities and responsibilities throughout their daily ... • 19. Essay about The Roman Military Reforms institued by Gaius... The hypothesis of this report is that the military reforms instituted by Gaius Marius ultimately paved the way for the fall of the Roman Republic. The reforms instituted by Marius were designed as a way to strengthen the Republic by professionalizing the Roman military, but instead resulted in long term political consequences that contributed to the decline of the Republic and the creation of the Empire. In this report, the decline of the republic specifically refers to the loss of the Senate s authority over Rome s generals. From 112 106 BC, a Numidian king called Jurgurtha was engaged in a war with Rome due to an attempt to seize power from his half brother, Adherbal. He then offered the masses a permanent career as professional soldiers, and the opportunity to gain spoils on the campaign. With little hope of gaining status in other ways, the masses flocked to join Marius. The cause of this reform was largely due to recurring recruitment problems faced by the Roman republic, as most soldiers were expected to return to their farms after long campaigns, but since the campaigns were becoming increasingly longer due to the distance of the conflicts from rome, the farms were left deserted and ruined do to prolonged absence of workers. As such, the returning soldiers found themselves without property making them illegible for military service, thus weakening the army. (William G. Sinnigen) As such, Marius believed these deficiencies in the Roman army recruitment system needed urgent attention, and his solution was to offer those with nothing the ability to have everything. Along with the new recruitment system, Marius also improved and enhanced the military training by basing it upon those used and developed by gladiators and also abolished the three different types of soldiers, each armed and positioned by rank and experience, with cohorts of men universally armed and created the use of the eagle as the standard for ... During this semester, my ability to give speeches in front of an audience has improved quite a bit, I hope. Going into the semester, I had a really hard time giving speeches to people, but now that speech is almost over I feel like I am more capable of doing so. I think the thing I did best during the semester was getting good information for each of my speeches. My favorite assignment was most likely the impromptu speech. I really liked that one because we did not have to prepare an outline or anything like that, we just got to go up there and speak. During this semester, I learned a lot about how to give speeches such as the proper way to stand so I do not rock, or how to use my hands to emphasize my points. In the future, I think that I will be able to control my speed better during my speeches which will help the people I am presenting to understand my message. I think the skills I have acquired during speech will help me for the rest of my life. No matter what career I choose, I am sure that at some point I will have to present to someone about something. The skills I learned in speech will also help me just communicate with people in a one on one situation easier than I do now. I can use these skills throughout the rest of high school and through my six years of college still to come because whenever I have to present a project I will know how to effectively communicate my message to my audience. Based off of all of my reflection sheets, video evaluations, and peer critiques I have improved over the course of the semester. At the beginning of the semester I had a problem with speed and using to many filler words. As the year progressed, my speed became more and more controllable and I used less and less filler words. After my most recent speech, I m still not quite at the level I want to be at, but I am far better than I was at the very beginning. However, on a paper defined by Shane and Hutter as a survey of a large number of informal definitions of intelligence that [they] collected over the years (A Collection of Definitions, 2007), the authors acknowledged that a complete list would be impossible as many definitions of intelligence are buried deep inside articles and books (idem). Beyond their own recognition about the limits of their compilation, even after careful analysis carried out by philosophers, psychologists and other scientists throughout human history, still there is not a definite, cover all definition of intelligence. Metaphors have long been in use to describe organizations and development of organizational theory. In order to understand abstract concepts, it is of fundamental importance to know how metaphor works. Different scholars within the field of organizational research have acknowledged this (e.g. Morgan 1980; Weick 1989; Cornelissen 2005; Putman Boys 2006). Within the field of linguistics, probably no phenomenon has been as well researched as metaphor (Steen 2007). Research shows that for language users, it is inevitable to use metaphor when dealing with abstract concepts. Metaphors therefore play a key role in the construction of reality (Lakoff Johnson 1999). The tax situation is Hong Kong is very attractive to all types of companies. The rates here in the United States the company pays 27.1%, while in Hong Kong the tax rate is only 16%. This tax saving alone has the ability to increase profits. The company s debt is very low as indicated by the debt ratio of .48, so fir every .48 cents the company owns $1.00 worth of assets. The company currently generates .13cents in profit for every one dollar in profit. These ratios will go up with less of a tax burden. If we take the 16% tax and apply it to gross profits we show a nice increase in net profit and all the financial ratios go up respectively. This potential addition profit will benefit current and future shareholders with elevated dividends and more retained earnings which we can use to finance other operations or expand the operation that I am proposing. It might not seem that he is getting what he wants at the beginning. It is not like that because yes he was dating Margaret. She wanted to kill herself because Dixon was not being with her or treating her like she wanted to be treated. Which during those hard moments he was going through it was just like a test in life for better to come in a way. Having to be entitled makes kids or people very selfish. For example there is nine ways that you know your child has an issue or is entitled. They can not handle disappointments, expect a prize when they are behaving good, feels that rules do not have to apply to them, constantly wants more, blames others when it is their fault, and expects to be rescued when they have a problem. It is like when kids feel that are better than any other kids or people. Being entitled is something it seems that does not happen to him. Eventually it does though he has a girl that is one of the biggest things that makes him feel good at first. Then seeing his girl being obsessed with him makes him alil uncomfortable. He makes a move that gets a little away from her. Which yes she pretends to commit suicide to get the attention. That is why he does not break up with her feeling bad for her. Though people just feel bad for her of the way she acts. He is a poor guy that struggles in his job well trying to keep his job. Gets frustrated really quick has a bad mood sometimes. Amis says , Dixon knew all this , and very much better than Welch could hope to, but he felt constrained to say: Yes , I see. I think living with you, Professor, and Mrs. Welch, must have helped her a lot to get out of the wood (Amis 3). Shows that she is in good care or you can say good hands. Dixon is still worried about her which make him a really good boyfriend, but she wants more than that. Margaret wants him to be by herself but he really does not want to be in that position because he lost those types of feelings for her. There is so much love for him that he does not notice that it is there next to him asking to open the doors or him. He seems that no one is there for him but many people is actually ... • 36. Essay on the vikings Viking age has long been associated with uncontrolled piracy, when bandits swarmed out of the northlands in their ships to burn and pillage their way across civilized Europe. During this period much progress was achieved in terms of Scandinavian art and craftsmanship, marine technology, exploration, and the development of commerce. It seems the Vikings did as much trading as they did raiding. The title quot;Viking quot; includes a wide description of Nordic people; Danes, Swedes, and Norwegians, who lived during a period of brisk Scandinavian expansion in the middle ages, from approximately 800 to 1100 AD. Ottar visited King Alfred as a peaceful trader at the same time as Alfred was waging war with other Viking chieftains. The expansion of the Vikings was probably triggered by a population growth out stepping the capacities of domestic resources. Archaeological evidence shows that new farms were cleared in sparsely populated forests at the time of their expansion. The abundance of iron in their region and their ability to forge it into weapons and arm everyone setting off on raids helped give the Vikings the upper hand in most battles. The first recorded Viking raid occurred in 793 AD, the holy island of the Lindisfarne monastery just off the Northeast shoulder of England was pillaged, around the same time, there are recorded reports of raids elsewhere in Europe. There are narratives of raids in the Mediterranean, and as far as the Caspian Sea. Norsemen from Kiev even attempted an attack on Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire. Few arguments exist against the decriminalization of prostitutes themselves that are not rooted in personal belief and morality. The Bible rejects prostitution, so the masses do as well. But lack of religious bias is of utmost importance when considering public policy in a nation with freedom of religion; therefore, the biggest factors to consider regarding prostitution policy are how it will affect the physical health, social progress, and prevalence of human trafficking in the nation. While proponents of prostitution legalization claim it promotes women s independence and autonomy, opponents argue that it exploits and objectifies women. In terms of putting ideology into practice, criminalization fails. The neoconservative ideology behind criminalization implies that women are unfit to make their own decisions about their sexuality. Under criminalization in the United States, females are arrested at much higher rates than males, despite the fact that when including johns, pimps, and brothel owners, there are probably more men involved in the practice (McKim 1). Additionally, every state (except some parts of Nevada) in the U.S. criminalizes women who sell sex, but only half of those states also have laws criminalizing men who buy sex (Mathieson 374). This discriminatory enforcement of prostitution laws undermines the gender equality this country is trying to achieve. The legalization and regulation of prostitution argues that the best way to promote women s autonomy is by allowing them to take control of their own bodies and choose their own profession. Due to the imbalance between men and women within the sex trade, legalization advocates support allowing the exchange of sexual services for money between consenting adults. It is a victimless crime; however the question remains whether it perpetuates a culture of objectification of women. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Our paper focusses on the significance of God and justice in John Webster s plays, in particular The Duchess of Malfi, and how god and justice are not particularly evident in his tragedies. The Duchess of Malfi is one of those Italian stories, full of hatred, wrath and wickedness, of which the Elizabethans were so fond. Firstly, we will begin with an outline of Elizabethan Revenge Tragedy; where the passion of revenge, motivated by subsidiary passions of anger, jealousy, pride, ambition or envy, was not held to be a crime, but rather the most befitting and just way to right a wrong, as was evident in the case of Bosola, who Killed Cardinal and Ferdinard on realizing that he has been duped by them into committing a grave sin of killing the innocent Duchess.
