Nelson Mandel A True Inspiration For All Of Humanity
Nelson Mandela: From Vision to Transformation A true inspiration for all of humanity, Nelson
Mandela broke down barriers of social injustice, committing his life to the vision of a free and
democratic society. His dedication and inspiration to those considered underprivileged or
subjugated within their own governmental or political constraints serve as testaments to the power
of leading with compassion and humility. Through his leadership and years of self sacrifice,
Nelson Mandela became South Africa s first black president in 1994, when his greatest triumph
ending his country s apartheid system came to fruition. His commitment to his vision and his ability
to withstand political and social opposition over an extended period of... Show more content on

Vision Vision, whether linked to an institution, business, or individual, provides purpose and is
critical to success. As argued by McFarland, Senn, and Childress (1994), Vision is to an
organization what purpose is to an individual. Any individual who has strong life purpose is
naturally motivated and moved to action. A vision for an organization has the same power,
serving as a higher purpose (p.94). Establishing a clear vision brings a sense of unity and
inspiration, whereby members of the team gain a sense of self motivation to follow in the same
direction (McFarland, et.al.). Ownership of a vision does not rest solely on the leader; in contrast,
uniting members of an organization and enabling them to share in the purpose are critical.
Visionary leaders have the compassion and commitment to a cause that inspire those around them
to believe in what they are doing. Visionary Leadership: Personal to Organizational Commitment
Vision is a critical component to success, as it unites members of an organization or group with a
common purpose. The creation of a vision, however, is not a simple process; as Yoeli and
Berkovich (2010) noted, The process of formulating a vision is long and complex and usually
begins with the leader s unique personal ethos (p.452). According to Katz (1999), when formulating
a personal ethos, a leader is trying to determine the motivating factor to influence others, identify the
purpose to

“There Is No Doctor Who Can Heal Me. But I Know That A
There is no doctor who can heal me. But I know that a man like Pol Pot, he is even sicker than I

We both have the horror in our heads. Upon the death of Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot, in 1998,
quoted in The Times. The Cambodian genocide is the greatest injustice. Between the years of 1975
1979, complete annihilation happened inside the nation of Cambodia. A socialist named Pol Pot had

They additionally made an administration which executed around 3 million individuals. Pol Pot
needed to make a nation that was missing of rich and taught individuals including poor people.
To do this he disposed of government funded schools, private property, houses of worship,
colleges, and religions. Many kids were taught to hate their mother, father, brothers, and sisters
because Pol Pot wanted them on his side. This way, he was able to stay in control. So, in order to
be in control, the teenagers were made warriors (ages ranged from 13 to 17) and got armed with

Gender Wage Gap Essay
The Gender Wage Gap
In 2015, women made ninety cents for every dollar that their male peers earned. The gender wage
gap has been a problem for centuries. In the 1700s, But since the 1980s, it hasn t shifted much
(Brown and Patten). Individuals like former President Obama have attempted to minimize the pay
gap between men and women by passing pieces of legislation, but his attempts have done little to
shift the wage gap. The community of American citizens needs to unite as a whole in order to stop
the gender wage gap because it is unjust, special interest groups need to be made to lobby
government officials into signing pieces of legislation that could help the wage gap decrease. The
gender wage gap has plagued women ever since they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the article of Institutional Bias Partially Explains the Gender Wage Gap , it states, The
research organization Catalyst, for example, found that among MBA [master of business
administration] grads on a traditional career track, women are even more likely than men to
seek out skill building experiences and training opportunities and to make their achievements
visible by asking for feedback and promotions. Women also reported similar rates of negotiating
as men: 47 percent of women and 52 percent of men had asked for a higher salary during the
hiring process, and 14 percent of women and 15 percent of men had asked for a higher position.
No gap there . The studies conducted shows that women are more likely to seek higher positions
and salary than men. So one can deduce that there is no ambition gap between women and men
who work in the same place. There is bias, even if one is afraid to call it out ( Institutional Bias ).
The gender gap is a problem today, there are individuals who have attempted to reduce the gap.
According to ACLU, in the article Some Things Change with Time , it states, It s hard to believe
it s been seven years since President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act the first piece

Literary Analysis Of My Papa s Waltz By Theodore Roethke
The Good old Days While the subject of My Papa s Waltz by Theodore Roethke has spurred
passionate academic debate from professors, scholars, and students alike, the imagery, syntax,
and diction of the poem clearly support the interpretation that Roethke writes My Papa s Waltz
to look back on his most fondest childhood memories he has created of dancing with his father. In
Roethke s poem My Papa s Waltz , many forms of controversies were inspired do due to the
vague nature of his motive for writing and publishing such a work of literature. This divides the
readers into many groups on what is true meaning of the poem about with key points of
evidence supporting their claims. Some may believe Roethke was driven by his father abusing
him as a child. Others were convinced into the poem real meaning is about an elegant dance the
author has a child and some believe it to be son recalling the fond memories he creates with his
father; Granted, many can come to such a conclusion due to the vague use of negative
connotations found within in the poem. Yet again, we are driven by the large scheme of whether
or not the poem has a positive or negative message of Roethke s childhood memories. After
further dissection of the author s piece it is firm to say that he his motive to write My Papa s

Essay about The Odyssey
The life of a God, forever bliss, complete happiness: Odysseus slights all of these things in order
for him to return to his loving wife and son. The concept of true commitment was a very
commendable quality for a Greek hero to possess. With this character trait, Odysseus models the
ideal husband, father, and leader. Unfortunately, in today s society, one rarely encounters such
outstanding morality. Being raised in an explicit society, a decrease in certain morals has become
fashionable. In particular, the college experience has become accepted as the wild times of one s
life. Certain activities ordinarily shunned are now perceived as a learning experiencewhen involving
a college student. Drugs and alcohol abuse are commonplace around... Show more content on

But let him have no company, gods or men,
Only a raft that he must lash together,
And after twenty days, worn out at sea,
He shall make land upon the garden aisle. (263)
This edict of Zeus summarizes the journey Odysseus makes in order to return home. He endures dire
hardships to make the journey home, yet he still chooses to continue forward. Although Odysseus
accepts this hardship as a mere speed bump, many people today would not prevail through such
adversity. A knack for finding the easy way out has seemed to blossom as the one uniform skill
possessed by most young people today. With today s technology, a person rarely spends an
afternoon by himself, and if so, would not like it. With this in mind, choosing to continue on with
the journey in present times would be much harder of a decision to make than in ancient times.
Another problem around school campuses is the growing rate of alcohol and drug abuse amongst
students. Extreme marijuana usage has taken claim to many victims. The drug may not kill the
person using it, but it does kill motivation. The drug becomes a part of the user s life, and the user
will eventually become lethargic. This lethargy continues to increase until most productive
activities are eliminated. Although Odysseus s crew did not have marijuana on their ship, his crew
did encounter a drug that posed a similar threat. Odysseus explains the drug, but those who ate this

ASC 810 10 25 24, the most significant risk is the operations risk, commodity price risk, and also
environmental risk. These risks are directly related to the strategic decisions regarding the
operations of Florabama, such as operating and capital budgets, pricing of the power produced.
These are the most significant activities regarding the economic performance of Florabama.

The Application Of Machine Learning
In the recent years, machine learning has made very significant leaps in terms of development. It
has undergone a lot of improvement, growth in the industry. Because of its ability to learn and
improve itself and make predictions based on data, its popularity has grown leaps and bounds in
the recent years mainly due to the large scale data processing and managing capacities of machines
nowadays. Many applications of machine learninghas come into picture in the recent years.
Machine Learning makes use various learning techniques based on the type of problem at hand or
the data available. One of the most important learning technique is the Supervised Learning
technique. Supervised learning makes use of already available labelled training data to infer a
function. The training data is then used to make generalization for making predictions for the test
data by introducing an inductive bias into it. Supervised learning methodology has been applied
fairly successfully to Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, Database Marketing, Information
Extraction and Retrieval, Object Recognition in Computer Vision, Spam Detection, Game Playing,
Speech Recognition, etc.
There are many different approaches to supervised learning. Some of these are widely applicable
and others are applicable only to certain specific set of problems. Some of these are NaГЇve Bayes

Essay Remember the Titans Rhetorical Analysis
Multicolored Dream In the movie Remember the Titans Coach Boone gives a speech on the
battle ground of Gettysburg. Coach Boone was hired and made head coach over the nominated
Hall of Fame Coach Yoast. Racial tensions were building between team members because their
school, T.C. Williams became integrated. His team of football players had a problem with open
prejudice and hostility between the black and white players. After a day of bad practice, Coach
Boone took his team out for a run in the middle of the night through the forest to deal with the
issue. When the players were finally given a chance to breathe they realized that they were at the
Civil War battle ground of Gettysburg. He utilizes his strong demeanor and gives a speech... Show

The strong imagery paints a picture of the battlefield and draws a connection between the past
and present leaving the football players with a feeling of loss. In the beginning of the movie,
Coach Boone had to build ethos for himself because of racial differences. Coach Boone, being of
African American descent, was hired over their current caucasian coach and this caused the
white football players to boycott the team until Coach Yoast became their assistant coach. Coach
Boone lead his team by example and his dedication to his craft. He showed the players that he
did not care about what color you wore on your skin, but of the sport that brought them together.
During his speech he states I don t care if you like each other or not. But you will respect each
other. And maybe, I don t know, maybe we ll learn to play this game like men (Boone). He uses
the built trust aspect of ethos very well to close this speech. Another aspect of ethos Coach
Boone used in his speech was borrowed credibility from Gettysburg. Towards the end of the
speech he told the boys to take a lesson from the dead (Boone) and realize that if they do not stop
these actions of hostility towards each other they will not be able to move forward as a team. The
Civil War, and the Civil Rights Movement were turning points in American history and he used
facts about the battle to build his ethos. Racial differences were still strong during the 1970s and if

The Intellectual Property Case Study
Intellectual Property Case Study
1)Introduction:
Trademark : A trademark is a recognizable insignia, phrase or other symbol that denotes a specific
product or service and legally differentiates it from all other products. It also serves to exclusively
identify a product or service with a specific company, and is a recognition of that company s
ownership of the brand. Trademarked products are generally considered a form of property. Most
countries have agencies through which businesses can have their products trademarked. One of the
main purposes of having a product trademarked is to protect the product from being used without
permission of the source company. Most countries have patent laws which are designed to protect
against copyright infringement. International copyright regulation is much more complicated, as
there exists no universally recognized patent office.
Patent : A patent is a government license that gives the holder exclusive rights to a process, design
or new invention for a designated period of time. Applications for patents are usually handled by a
government agency. You can use a patent to protect your invention. It gives you the right to take
legal action against anyone who makes, uses, sells or imports it without your permission.
To be granted a patent, your invention must be all of the following:
Something that can be made or used

Essay on Programs for the Treatment of Autism
Programs for the Treatment of Autism
Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder first termed by a man by the name of Kanner in
1943. He described a group of children as having severe language, behavior, and social interaction
difficulties. These descriptors are what have come to be the core elements of autism today. Autism
is characterized in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (4th ed.) by a continuum of abnormal
development in social interaction and communication combined with a restricted repertoire of
activities and interests. Children with autism are typically diagnosed by the age of two, with the
prognosis generally being poor. The American Psychiatric Association s 1994 estimated prevalence

Both children in the experimental group and control 1 received intensive one to one treatment
beginning at average ages of 34.6 and 40.9 months respectively and continuing for two or more
years. Children in the experimental group received at least 40 hours of treatment per week,
whereas children in control 1 received 10 hours or less per week. Children in control 2 were not
treated by the YAP personnel, but were given an unspecified form of treatment (Gresham et al.,
1999). At the end of the project, 47% of the children in the experimental group were reported as
having recovered. This indicating that their IQ scores were in the normal range (M=7, Range=94
120), they had passed the first grade in a regular education classroom, and they showed continuing
increases in social, emotional, and educational functioning. Lovaas also reported that the school
staff described these children as indistinguishable from their normal peers. No children from
control 1 and only one child from control 2 reached this point of recovery (Gresham et al., 1999).
Although the YAP appears to have been successful, there are many methodological issues to be
considered. Most importantly is the lack of random selection, being a threat to both internal and
external validity. For example, we cannot prove that the improvements were a direct cause of the
treatment and had nothing to do with the children being from the same area. This study has not

receive physical threats to break his bones, especially on the bus. On the bus he would get
constant punches. It all changed once he watched a bully documentary. That s when he realised
that he wasn t the only one being bullied. He decided to do something about it.

embarrassing them, also because she was blind she couldn t see them leave her so it took her a
little bit to realise that her friends left her. The worst part was that she was bullied physically and
verbally. Kids would take away her cane and hide it, they would laugh at her and they even told
her to KILL HERSELF! I think that is out ragiouse to tell someone they should kill themselves!
They even went as far to leave her in a forest alone and that she had to get home! She went through

Tic Anxiety Disorder
Tic. Tic. Tic. The movement is regular and unchanging. It s constant and never ending. Tic. Tic.

Twitch. It s not a ticking clock disturbing my concentration, but my right shoulder. It jerks up and
back, up and back, twitching and spasming, again and again. I struggle to get my body under my
control so I can focus. My body is still for a second as I use all my concentration to make it obey.
But then my control slips and the tic, tic, tic begins again. I was officially diagnosed with
Tourette s Syndrome in 8th grade, a neurological disorder that causes involuntary movements
called tics. I tic about every twenty seconds, which means thousands of times a day my muscles
twitch and jerk, causing pain and fatigue. My tics are not as severe as some, but it is
embarrassing to give a presentation in class when I know will pause and stutter through much of
it. It would be easy to be swallowed up in despair at my inability to control my body. Yet, I have

explains the highly debated notion of love at first sight through the relationship between the two
star crossed lovers , Romeo and Juliet. Though many can argue that this relationship between the
two is only for lust, it is clearly shown in the play that the family rivaled couple is truly in love.
Through Juliet s decisiveness and maturity, Juliet shows that her relationship with Romeo is not
about lust, but about true love. First, Juliet experiences her first moment of true love when she
meets Romeo at the Capulet Masquerade. In the beginning of the play, Juliet is seen as a young,

The typical country does not approve of citizens killing other beings, and yet the typical country
approves of war. War is the term for legalized mass murdering that is organized being that not all
countries can simply live in harmony with one another. Like most horrible things, it causes more
problems than it solves. The effects of this glorified engagement are demonstrated and analyzed
within the novels Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumboand Born on the Fourth of July by Ron
Kovic. These two novels are the stories of two soldiers who went into two different wars that
caused them to deal with great change that would alter their lives forever. Even though these
novels accentuate the concept of soldier s overcoming obstacles, they moreso focus on the
adversity of saying goodbye, isolation, and sacrifice that many soldiers must deal with. To
begin, both authors discuss the hardships people must go through in order to become soldiers,
especially that of having to leave behind loved ones. In Dalton Trumbo s Johnny Got His Gun,
he expresses and details the difficulty that many soldiers must go through when he writes about
Joe Bonham having to say goodbye to his family and girlfriend. For example, in chapter three it
states, Oh Joe Joe I don t want you to go. You think I want to go? I m afraid. (Trumbo 34). In this
quote, it is the day before Joe Bonham s departure, and his girlfriend, Kareen, is expressing her fear
in him leaving. This shows Bonham s determination to

I myself am very dedicated to music and I love to play the piano and learn and play all types of
music. I remember when I was a little girl I would sneak out of classes and go to the music room
where there was a piano and just play all of her music. For me, it was a way to get away from
everything I was going through. Her music was deep and had meaning to every single word in
the lyrics. To me, that was all I needed. I would do research on her and see what she would be
doing and her interests and we were just interested in the same kinds of things. She was and
always will be my biggest idols. When I was younger, I always longed to go to her concert and
sit in the audience and just feel her music in me. By freshman year, I finally got tickets to see her
and it was the most amazing experience ever. It meant so much to me that I was actually in tears
while she was singing live and it felt so perfect. A few years later, my senior year, I went to go
see her again. And this time it was an even better feeling. Her drive and determination to help

Nicaragua And Its Monetary Policy Analysis Essay
Nicaragua and its Monetary Policy analysis:
Monetary policy is the macroeconomic policy laid down by the central bank. It involves
management of money supply and interest rate and is the demand side economic policy used by the
government of a country to achieve macroeconomic objectives like inflation, consumption, growth
and liquidity.
The Monetary Policy of a country further contains 3 sub policies:
The Money Supply Policy: This policy determines the source of credit. In most cases, a central
bank of a country acts the source.
The Interest Rate Policy: This policy determines the cost of credit.
The Credit Control Policy: This policy determines the quantum of credit.
Monetary Policy works on the fundaments of a money market and LM curve is the locus of
equilibrium between the interest rate and income in the money market. LM curve determines the
supply side of money and is positively sloped w.r.t to interest rate and income.
Like many Latin American countries, Nicaragua is a socialist country and hence, functions with a
deficit budget. Deficit, if remained uncontrolled, has the potential to induce inflation in an economy.
As in August, 2015, the inflation rate recorded in its economy was 2.70%. However, with its
average inflation rate being 9.35% in the period of 1993 2015, it had achieved a highest rate of
inflation in September 1993 at 23.99%. (Banco Central de Nicaragua estimated)

The Islanders Case Study
This impending offseason could determine the future of the Islanders. Many big names such as
Tavares, Bailey, Neal, E. Kane, etc. are due for new contracts in the 2018 free agency.
Specifically to the Isles, Tavares, Bailey, Halak, Chimera, de Haan, Gionta, Kulemin, Hickey,
Seidenberg, and Helgeson will test the market this summer. With so many free agents, it is
virtually impossible to retain them all, but who should stay and who should go? Who Should

He also has the record for most wins by a single goaltender in one season in Islanders history.
Sadly, his stats have quickly gone down ever since 2015. Halak is 32, an old age for NHL
standards. The Islanders can afford to resign Jaro, but it must come at the right price. Like
Seidenberg and Kulemin, the best years are behind him. The organization will be able to see
whether or not Halak should remain an Islander throughout the remainder of the season. It is
probable that Halak will ask for 2.5 million dollars per year, due to the fact that no team
attempted to sign him last season when he was waived by the Islanders. It is likely Halak will
not be on the team next year because the Isles are searching for a long term answer, plus Thomas
Greiss is signed for the upcoming season. Jason Chimera: 2 goals, 6 assists, 37 games Jason
Chimera was an Islander for two seasons. He gave the team a veteran presence and was a fill in
for the loss of Matt Martin on the fourth line. Chimera played a similar role to that of Seidenberg,
except with the forwards. For most of his career, Chimera was a Washington Capital and an
Islander killer. He switched sides and had a sufficient season last year, accumulating 20 goals.
This year, father time has caught up to the 38 year old. Rumors of retirement have started to
surface because of Chimera s decline in play. There is a strong likelihood that Chimera is no longer

The Music Of The Band Heart
I imagine this doesn t apply to everyone, as each person is different and I know some people don
t listen to music (Gasp!). But in general, it seems as if music has the ability to move us. I ve
thought about this quite a bit, but the video of the band Heart s live cover of Led Zeppelin s
Stairway to Heaven really made me wonder (pun not intended. Seriously, though, if you haven t
seen it, it s nothing short of mind blowing; one of the best Stairway covers in a long time). I
enjoy listening to almost every kind of music, but my personal favorite has to be classic, golden
age rock and roll (1960s through 1980s, with some songs from other decades scattered
throughout). I know some people who will roll their eyes and mentally groan, I know! , at me
bringing up my three favorite bands again (for the record, they re 1) Queen, 2) Alice Cooper, 3)
Aerosmith; not in order of preference, but the order of when I got into them) but I don t let it
get to me. (If I do, that s what my music binges are for). To me, they never stop sounding
amazing. Anyways, when I listen to it, it seems to control my emotions. I have a chemical and
physical response to the music. I know this happens with a lot of people. Why do we seem to

There comes a point and time in history when certain individuals excel and stand out above their
peers. They fight for humanity and justice as if the hope for tomorrow has started to slip away.
They personally take blame and are ridiculed for their beliefs but this does not hamper their
efforts as it only gives them more ambition to be heard. As you will see in this paper there is one
individual that not only stood for human rights but he stood for a culture that has been repressed
for centuries. Born on February 23, 1868 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts William Edward

His ideology was that it comes to the choice of the individual to discriminate, hate and be racists
because it is a personal choice not a biological one. His journalistic background enabled him to use
his writing talents to help try and shift the socio and politico economic settings that had been long
in place in our society.
As a skilled writer/scientist he wrote about a study called the, Suppression that studied the slave
trade and in 1896 it was published allowing Du Bois to speak to the world about ending racism and
how that evil, if stopped, could have prevented the civil war (Lewis, 1993). He was able to gather
documented material to build a very impressive study on how this era had become so damaging to
the American culture and added fuel to racism that was now a commonplace. Another great
achievement that Du Bois had accomplished was the writing of his study, The Philadelphia Negro
, in which he was asked to study the Seventh Ward. This area was the poorest of Philadelphia and
the city was blaming the African Americans that were living there for giving the city a bad
reputation (Bolden, 2008). The results

What Are The Variations In Regional Differences

in regional differences include things such as industrialization, slavery, and the growth of the
United States (U.S) government between the years 1800 and 1848. Such economical, social, and
political factors influenced the increase in regional differences. During the year of 1803, the state

that Pinker feels is a prerequisite for language development. Jargoning appears around 12

sometimes believed to stand for phrases or sentences (Cole and Cole). At 18 months, language
development is quickly developing; children are increasing their vocabulary at a phenomenal
rate of a new word every two hours (Pinker). As two or three word utterances emerge these micro
sentences already reflect the language being acquired: in ninety five percent of them, the words
are properly ordered (Pinker, 268). As Pinker s term the all hell breaks loose stage suggest this

Toyota Case Analysis
Abstract
This study identify current Toyota strategy problem. Toyota is a top leader in the automotive
industry and this paper focus on how they can develop and manage their problem Later than, it will
recommend some solution to them to protect the company from competitors.
Toyota Case Analysis
Introduction
Toyota Motor Corporation is one of the leading automakers with a huge market in the US. Toyota
Company is located in Japan, and its headquarters in the U.S. are based in Torrance, California. It
has more than 300,000 employees in 50 manufacturing facilities in all around the world. Toyota s
vehicles are sold in more than 170 countries. It has three major brands; Toyota, Lexus, and Scion. In
2013, Toyota s revenue was $214.6 billion globally (Ruiz, 2014).
Statement of problem
Today, Toyota like other automotive companies has problem in their products.
The main problem of Toyota is that Toyota cannot compete in the luxury level car market, and so it
can lose market share in this level. (Toyota annual report, 2014).
In Toyota s luxury line, Lexus, they are still losing market share to BMW in sedan sales and in
SUV sales because Toyota will quickly lose market share due to a failure to meet customer
requirements. If it doesn t find the solution for this problem, it will not be able to compete with its
other competitors.

The Crowd A Study Of The Popular Mind Summary
Gustav Le Bon Charles Marie Gustav Le Bon was a sociologist, psychologist, and physicist who
is well known for his writing in each of these fields. Le Bon was a witness to the actions of the
French Commune, in the spring of 1871, what he refers to as the French Convention in his essay
The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind. He was greatly influenced in what he saw during this
revolutionary uprising and analyzed the actions of crowds and the way they acted differently
than the individuals within them would (Wikipedia, n.d.). The individuals in the crowd lose their
conscience personality and adopt the thoughts and actions of the psychological crowd. Le Bon
points out that the size of a psychological crowd could be as small as a half a dozen and as large as
a nation, and the combined influence driving them to act does not have to be negative, but could
easily have a positive vibe (Le Bon, 1926).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

For an organization looking to supply a protected network communications for its client base, a

The ratio of signal power to noise power is known as the signal to noise ratio (SNR). It is also
known as signal to quantization ratio (SQNR). The signal to noise ratio determines how much
noise in an ADC. Mathematically the SNR is given [34] as ;
Mean square value of quantization error = ∆2/12
If the input signal is (A. Sinωt), then signal power = A2/2
Full scale range for an n bit ADC = 2n∆
Amax = 2n 1 ∆
Maximum signal power = ((2n 1 ∆)2) / 2
Noise Power = ∆2/12
Peak SNR = (((2n 1 ∆)2) / (2* ∆2/12)) = 3. 22n 1
SNR = 20 log10 (ARMS,signal / ARMS,noise)
SNR in decible = 10 log10(3. 22n 1)

The signal to noise and distortion ratio (SINAD) [40] is defined as the ratio of the signal power
and to noise power including the significant harmonics. Since the signal to noise ratio (SNR) does
not include the significant harmonics, the SNR is usually larger than the SINAD. SINAD is

Mutual Love In Romeo And Juliet
When I read the tragedy Romeo and Juliet, I thought that it had quite the dark ending. However, I
also thought that we could learn from this extreme case of what grudges do to people. It hardens
their hearts and makes them think that This will hurt them, even though that it really hurts
themselves in the process. Since the Capulets (Juliet s family) and the Montagues (Romeo s
family) had both taken part of an ancient feud against each other, Romeo and Juliet s love for
each other is not at all accepted by their families, which causes problems with their marriage. If
The Capulets and Montagues put their differences aside, the entire book would have been
totally different. In many areas we can learn so much from Romeo and Juliet, as well as the
other characters in the book, especially with how many of them seem to not think through most
of their choices before committing or going through with something. My ultimate goal in this
essay is showing how being a teenager can be a difficult journey, but thinking through things and
not letting your emotions get the best of you can and will greatly help your life. To achieve my
goal, I have properly organized my paper into four sections going over three topics. In my first
topic I will go over Romeo and Juliet s mutual love and immediate marriage, and what went
wrong, why it was wrong, and how it could have been prevented. In the following section, I discuss

Vidal explains how it s the United States Governments fault because the crime spree would be
decreased. Vidal also believes that fighting against drugs is nearly as a big business as trying to
stop them because people always want what they can t have. By legalizing drugs will enable
people easier access to them but also, taking away the thrill of getting them. For example, giving
people their wants only makes the person lose less value of their excitement which has to do a big
role in reverse psychology. To confuse people of their wants and needs.
2. Vidal addresses my concerns because drug dealing and the mafia business will decrease rapidly
and there would not be as much crimes in the American society. Yes, Vidal does consider both
sides of the issue because he there is a combination of sin and money between the mafia and the
American people. Both of the combinations of sin and money are two most valuable things because
are irresistible and it has been repeated for many centuries. In addition, Vidal claims that forbidding
people to do something they hold in interest of will only cause the person to pursue their interest

time things will only get worse if things don t change. The reasonable solution to America s drug
problem is unrealistic because people will pursue things they cannot

A Good Man Is Hard to Find by Flannery O’Connor Essay
In the short story A Good Man Is Hard to Find, written by Flannery O Connor, the theme that the
definition of a good man is mysterious and flawed is apparent. The reader must realize that it is
difficult to universalize the definition of a good man because every person goes through different
experiences. Thus, these experiences affect his or her viewpoint and in turn flaw ones view on a
good man. O Connor conveys this theme through her excellent use of diction, imagery,
foreshadowing, and symbolism as well as through a creative use of repetition and an omniscient
point of view. The grandmother, the main character of the story, is manipulative. Her definition of a

She [the grandmother] pointed out interesting details of the scenery: Stone Mountain, the blue
granite that in some places came up to both sides of the highway; the brilliant red clay banks
slightly streaked with purple; and the various crops that made row of green lace work on the
ground. The trees were full of silver white sunlight and the meanest of them sparkled. (1286) She
uses informal diction to help achieve the targeted theme and her slight use of a southern dialect
is one brilliant component that helps her to do so. For example, when the family stops for
barbecue sandwiches along their way to Tennessee, the owner s wife compliments the
granddaughter. Ain t she cute? Red Sam s wife said, leaning over the counter. Would you like to
come be my little girl? (1287). Adding this southern twist of diction as well as the southern
setting helps to illustrate the culture the grandmother was raised in. This helps to bridge the gap
between what the reader s definition of a good man may be, based off of their cultural
upbringing, and the grandmother s definition of a good man. This gap reinforces the O Conner s
idea that there cannot be a universal definition of a good man. Imagery is used flawlessly in this
short story. O Connor uses descriptive adjectives fairly often to paint a picture in the reader s mind
and to add spice to her

Human Due Diligence
The success of most acquisitions hinges not on dollars but on people (Harding, Rouse, 2007). It is
often said that people are the most significant and important resource of any organization, yet due

human due diligence is critical.

Poverty Of Poverty And Poverty
About 22,000 children die each day as a result of poverty ( Child Mortality Rate Drops ). On their
website, The World Bank calculated that the amount of people living in extreme poverty was
likely to fall below ten percent in 2015. Even though the poverty rate has decreased, there are still
many people living in extreme poverty. One billion children in the world live in poverty and
organizations like Compassion International are helping give them a new life ( Poverty Facts and
Stats ).
What is poverty? There are two specific aspects of poverty. The first aspect is material poverty.
This is the lack of life sustaining materials. Many people do not have the resources or money to
obtain these materials. Examples of these materials would be clean water or nutritious foods.
The second aspect of poverty is spiritual poverty. People living in spiritual poverty have no way
of hearing about the gospel. They do not have churches or missionaries in their villages to tell
them the good news of God. There is a large number of children living in both of these types of
poverty and are searching for ways to escape them. One of the main reasons why poverty is so
prevalent in the world is because people are ignorant and selfish. They would rather spend their
money on expensive cars and clothes than help buy clothes to dress a child who has nothing at all.
Another reason why poverty is so prevalent is because there are not enough job opportunities for
people to support their children. With no

Radbruch Stalegary Lawlessness And Supra-Statutory Law
In Statutory Lawlessness and Supra Statutory Law Gustav Radbruch talks about the Radbruch
Formula that states extreme injustice is no law. (p.126) Radbruch is against positive law because
in a situation of conflict between legal certainty and justice, positive law takes precedence even
when the content is unjust and fails to benefit the people. (p.132) This is one of the main reasons
why Radbruch criticizes positive law, it fails to create justice for the people. Another reason is that
according to Radbruch, positive law is incapable of establishing validity of the statutes. Legal
validity states that for a law to be valid, it must be given a rule of recognition, which the officials,
the society and its members must accept. Members should have the ability to change the laws that
govern them and since the positive law does not allow this, certain members of the society are
subject to unjust laws, and they cannot do anything about it. For Radbruch, the idea of law
comprises of three things; the purpose of the law in serving the public benefit, justice, and legal
certainty. Out of these three, Radbruch emphasized that legal certainty has the most importance.
Legal certainty is a characteristic of positive law, which means that the legislature enacts the statute.
It ensures consistency in the interpretation of law from time to time and supports the notion that
any statute is better than no statue. Legal certainty is required for public benefit and for justice.

Cinderella Man American Dream
Forget all the reasons it won t work and believe the one reason that it will. Unknown. This quote
from an unknown author perfectly addresses what I believe a critical step for attaining the
American Dream is. To focus on the reasons someone cannot achieve something will only lead to
disaster, but when someone takes the one reason why they can succeed, they do. There is no better
representation of this and the American Dream than the movie Cinderella Man. It shows that no
matter how bad things are, no matter how many reasons there are to lose faith in yourself, those
who believe can overcome any adversities and find the American Dream.
Cinderella Man is a story that takes place during the Great Depression, and features an ordinary ...

The underdog from the slums in New Jersey pushed his way to the top, taking down even the most
renowned foes and becoming a glimmer of hope and determination for the people of America. He
not only won the title of world champion, but lived the American Dream at a time where the
country was at its darkest.
This is in essence the purest form of the American Dream that I ve seen. It s an idea that no
matter how terrible life is, if you have the willpower and hope, anything can be achieved. This is
what the American Dream truly is to me. While it may be true that the way the American Dream
is embodied changes through generations, i.e. the fight to be acknowledged in October Sky, the
essence is still the same. The American Dream is to be able to live, work, thrive, and be
whatever you set your mind to. This essence of the American Dream is everything to me because
just a few short months ago the concept of the American Dream meant nothing to me. It was just
a thing my mother talked about at dinner, or a fable that seemed to irrelevant to notice, but that
all changed when I opened my eyes to the real meaning behind it all. It made me feel like there was
a purpose to the chaos, it made it all feel real.
This is especially attributed to Cinderella man, as it showed just how important the American
Dream is, but it showed just how powerful it could be as well. In Cinderella Man,

The Advent Of Industrialized Civilization Essay
The advent of industrialized civilization has brought to us many remarkable feats that enhance our
everyday lives. Such things as automobiles, airplanes, tractors, mainframe computers, and even
relatively simple machines like lawnmowers have intertwined themselves into the everyday culture
of modern day industrialized countries.. These products have provided us enormous benefits
compared to the types of lives our ancestors used to live. In the eyes of some, the consequences of
industrial activities that have evolved around the world will not pose any problems in the future,
however as most have realized, this is not true. Contemporary production processes use fossil fuels
such as oil, which release dangerous amounts of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. In addition,
certain products such as vehicles are notorious for their inefficient combustion cycles that also
release comparable amounts of certain greenhouse gases into the air. Moreover, emissions from
agricultural practices, land use change and forestry, and other industrial activities have led to
dramatic increases in atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases since
pre industrial times. (Fig. 1) The world was quick to act upon this realization by negotiating the
Kyoto Protocol in December of 1997, the result of a process that began by a United Nations led
conference in the early 90s. Since then, the debate for ratification among the negotiating countries
has been ongoing, for the simple

Math In The Criminal Justice System
In this day and age, math is utilized everywhere. Math can be found in books, television and
schools. However, above all, math is found in each employment. We may not trust that math is
applied all around, until we end up using it for the easiest things. Occupations require their
employees to know essential math for basic things, for example, running a money enlist and
numbering deals. Math is necessary in the world. Without math, the world would be very different.
Each occupation utilizes basic math to take care of fundamental issues and to solve basic problems.
A job that requires math is an educator or teacher. There are diverse math classes students can take

A sales associate is in charge of working with customers to help find what they want to ensure a

must subtract the correct amount to have an accurate discounted price. Tasks such as counting and
keeping track of money in registers is math. Similarly, a store manager runs the store and makes

Speech On Multilingualism
MULTILINGUALISM AND MY CONTEXT
India is a country where over 1650 mother tongues belonging to five different language families viz.
Indo Aryan, Dravidian, Austro Asiatic, Tibeto Burman and, Andamanese are spoken. India is such
a landscape where we can find multilingual environment everywhere.
Chhattisgarh and languages
I am a Bengali native speaker, presently residing in Chhattisgarh, where Chhattisgarhi, Hindi,
English Oriya and also many sub languages (so called Boli ) are used by the people. In the context
of Chhattisgarh we can also find multilingual environment in school education system. In this state
native speakers are also using Hindi language,

Multilingualism is easily defined as an occurrence regarding an individual or group of speaker(s)
who use(s) two or more languages, a community of speakers where two or more language are used
as oral or written form. Multilingualism basically arises to communicate with speech communities.
There are two type of multilingualism is seen in our scenario: These two type of multilingualism
are: A) Additive multilingualism and B) Subtractive multilingualism.
Additive bi/multilingualism: Additive multilingualism enriches both the languages by their usage;
e.g. if a child cherishes/nourishes other languages side by side his mother tongue too, then it is
called additive bi/multilingualism.
Subtractive multilingualism: It refers to the gradual loss of the first language as the second language
dominates learner s functional space, in which case the speaker s loyalty shifted towards acquired
language; e.g. if a child acquired second language and this language dominates upon his/her mother
tongue and he/she priorities and shifts loyalty to acquired language, then it is called subtractive
multilingualism. (Bedadur Vijay Nivedita, 2015 pp

Biography Of Chuck, An African American Male
Chuck, an African American male, was brought to my funeral home after an autopsy had been
completed on him. Chuck passed away in a car accident after his car crossed the centerline, was
hit by another car and then upon impact burned. Amazingly, Chuck got out of the car but later
died on the side of the road before help had arrived. Chuck s ability to get out the car and dying
on the side of the road led to this being an autopsy case. While preparing Chuck for his services, I
noticed that he has light discolorations on his hands and face due to his car catching on fire. This
goes to show that he suffered first degree burns. First degree burns or hyperemia is any injury
caused by heat, which produces redness of the skin. This type of burn does not present any unusual
difficulty when embalming or preparing the body. Although it is discolored, we have to be thankful
that the skin will just be red, unbroken and has no tissue destruction. For the discoloration, I used a
stronger than normal arterial injection solution as a precaution against skin slip, applied massage
cream during the embalming process and used cosmetics after embalming to help reduce the
visibility of the burns on his hands and face. The fact that Chuck has a ruptured aorta causes some
difficulties and will affect the embalming process, however embalming can still take place. A
ruptured aorta will cause the embalming fluid to fill the cavity rather than going through the arterial
system. If one

there are people who try their best to seek true love and never really succeed. According to a
blog, Why is true love so hard to find? by Kelly Benamati most people search for love in all the
wrong places, thinking if they search and search they will for sure find what they are looking for.

Modern Family Myth Essay
Debunking the Modern Family Myth
According to Stephanie Coontz in What We Really Miss About The 1950 s , the 1950 s were
symbolic in terms of the nuclear American family. The typical nuclear American family structure
consisted of an unemployed stay at home mom, working dad, a child or two, and a suburban
home. In her article, she refers to the 1950 s as being the optimal time period for family s where the
ideology in television shows such as Father Knows Best and Leave It To Beaver was not just a
depiction of how life was supposed to be lived, but an accurate portrayal of how life actually was
back then. Today, the once commonly known family structure has been modified and tweaked and
the standard image of a modern day family is no ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Today s culture seems to not be able to accept anything that is out of the norm. As a result, gay
marriage has been under constant backlash due to the idea that the true marriage and a real
family is constituted by the union of a male and a female. Although the model family was
previously seen as the union of a male and female back in the 1950 s, things change over time
and with it news things are formed. With gay couples increasingly coming out and demanding
their rights, the definition of the traditional family is being altered and along with it the
disappearance of some American myths and traditions. We now live in the year 2013, and the
same ideals that we possessed back in the 1950 s no longer function the same way today; many
people are choosing not marry until a later age, and the divorce rate is at the highest it s ever been,
so how do we really define what a real and traditional American family is and who should be able to
get a say in who gets to marry or not.
With gay marriage becoming an increasingly popular discussion topic there exist constant feuding
between which is right or not. We must think through it logically and ask ourselves: how does a
homosexual couple not constitute as much of a family as a heterosexual couple? Gay marriage in
American culture but more closely religious culture is primarily not accepted but in Evan Wolfson
s What is Marriage , what really constitutes a marriage these days

Tupac Amaru Shakur Short Biography
Hip Hop music formed during the 1970s in the South Bronx an area in New York particularly
among African Americans and Latinos. The city neglected the Bronx because of its high levels of
poverty and crime and constructed Cross Bronx expressway dissecting it in half which destroyed
existing residential neighborhoods aiding in its economic decline. The town was a ghetto
inhabited by mostly Blacks and Latinos. The feeling of being disconnected from the rest of the
city as well as the violence in the town attributed to the development of rap music. Rap is a vocal
style in which the singer speaks lyrically, in rhyme and verse, generally to an instrumental or
synthesized beat. Hip hop was intended to reflect on the predicament of the individuals... Show

intelligence that was rare and could not be found in any of the scholarly sources (McQuillar and
Johnson 95). In addition, he would portray his wisdom in his numerous songs depending on the
controversial issue that was eminent at the time, which made his music more interesting. Shakur

The World Trade Center Buildings
Numerous reasons and possibilities circulate through out the world as to if the United States
government had ties to the happenings on September 11th, 2001. Evidence to dispute 9/11 being
an inside job quickly began to go viral, especially on the Internet. False flag terrorism became a
widely debated topic to go along with the conspiracies. Theorists believe that bombs demolished the
World Trade CenterBuildings, the phone calls from the planes were a hoax, or George W. Bush
who was the current president at the time financially benefited discreetly from the attacks
(NewsOne Staff 2012) As a final point, there is evidence to believe the United States government
had responsibility in the attacks that took place in 2001.
Right before the terroristic effects of September 11th, unknown investors allegedly used foresight of
the 9/11 tragedies events to scam on many markets globally including but not limited to an
astounding amount of put options placed to belittle the same airlines hijacked during the attacks
(NewsOne Staff), and WTC tenants and re insurance companies based in Chicago and London.
Furthermore, suspicious monetary transactions valued at hundreds of millions of dollars were
administered through offices at the Twin Towers during the actual attacks. The German firm,
Convar, retrieved financial data from hard drives recovered from Ground Zero although the
Securities and Exchange Commission published an FBI briefing on trading in which agents

  • 2. Nelson Mandel A True Inspiration For All Of Humanity Nelson Mandela: From Vision to Transformation A true inspiration for all of humanity, Nelson Mandela broke down barriers of social injustice, committing his life to the vision of a free and democratic society. His dedication and inspiration to those considered underprivileged or subjugated within their own governmental or political constraints serve as testaments to the power of leading with compassion and humility. Through his leadership and years of self sacrifice, Nelson Mandela became South Africa s first black president in 1994, when his greatest triumph ending his country s apartheid system came to fruition. His commitment to his vision and his ability to withstand political and social opposition over an extended period of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Vision Vision, whether linked to an institution, business, or individual, provides purpose and is critical to success. As argued by McFarland, Senn, and Childress (1994), Vision is to an organization what purpose is to an individual. Any individual who has strong life purpose is naturally motivated and moved to action. A vision for an organization has the same power, serving as a higher purpose (p.94). Establishing a clear vision brings a sense of unity and inspiration, whereby members of the team gain a sense of self motivation to follow in the same direction (McFarland, et.al.). Ownership of a vision does not rest solely on the leader; in contrast, uniting members of an organization and enabling them to share in the purpose are critical. Visionary leaders have the compassion and commitment to a cause that inspire those around them to believe in what they are doing. Visionary Leadership: Personal to Organizational Commitment Vision is a critical component to success, as it unites members of an organization or group with a common purpose. The creation of a vision, however, is not a simple process; as Yoeli and Berkovich (2010) noted, The process of formulating a vision is long and complex and usually begins with the leader s unique personal ethos (p.452). According to Katz (1999), when formulating a personal ethos, a leader is trying to determine the motivating factor to influence others, identify the purpose to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Upon the death of Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot, in 1998, quoted in The Times. The Cambodian genocide is the greatest injustice. Between the years of 1975 1979, complete annihilation happened inside the nation of Cambodia. • 4. Gender Wage Gap Essay The Gender Wage Gap In 2015, women made ninety cents for every dollar that their male peers earned. The gender wage gap has been a problem for centuries. In the 1700s, But since the 1980s, it hasn t shifted much (Brown and Patten). Individuals like former President Obama have attempted to minimize the pay gap between men and women by passing pieces of legislation, but his attempts have done little to shift the wage gap. The community of American citizens needs to unite as a whole in order to stop the gender wage gap because it is unjust, special interest groups need to be made to lobby government officials into signing pieces of legislation that could help the wage gap decrease. Although Odysseus accepts this hardship as a mere speed bump, many people today would not prevail through such adversity. A knack for finding the easy way out has seemed to blossom as the one uniform skill possessed by most young people today. With today s technology, a person rarely spends an afternoon by himself, and if so, would not like it. With this in mind, choosing to continue on with the journey in present times would be much harder of a decision to make than in ancient times. Another problem around school campuses is the growing rate of alcohol and drug abuse amongst students. Extreme marijuana usage has taken claim to many victims. The drug may not kill the person using it, but it does kill motivation. The drug becomes a part of the user s life, and the user will eventually become lethargic. The strong imagery paints a picture of the battlefield and draws a connection between the past and present leaving the football players with a feeling of loss. In the beginning of the movie, Coach Boone had to build ethos for himself because of racial differences. Coach Boone, being of African American descent, was hired over their current caucasian coach and this caused the white football players to boycott the team until Coach Yoast became their assistant coach. Coach Boone lead his team by example and his dedication to his craft. He showed the players that he did not care about what color you wore on your skin, but of the sport that brought them together. During his speech he states I don t care if you like each other or not. But you will respect each other. And maybe, I don t know, maybe we ll learn to play this game like men (Boone). Towards the end of the speech he told the boys to take a lesson from the dead (Boone) and realize that if they do not stop these actions of hostility towards each other they will not be able to move forward as a team. It also serves to exclusively identify a product or service with a specific company, and is a recognition of that company s ownership of the brand. Trademarked products are generally considered a form of property. Most countries have agencies through which businesses can have their products trademarked. One of the main purposes of having a product trademarked is to protect the product from being used without permission of the source company. Most countries have patent laws which are designed to protect against copyright infringement. International copyright regulation is much more complicated, as there exists no universally recognized patent office. Patent : A patent is a government license that gives the holder exclusive rights to a process, design or new invention for a designated period of time. He described a group of children as having severe language, behavior, and social interaction difficulties. These descriptors are what have come to be the core elements of autism today. Autism is characterized in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (4th ed.) by a continuum of abnormal development in social interaction and communication combined with a restricted repertoire of activities and interests. Children with autism are typically diagnosed by the age of two, with the prognosis generally being poor. The American Psychiatric Association s 1994 estimated prevalence is about 1 per 1,000 ... Children in the experimental group received at least 40 hours of treatment per week, whereas children in control 1 received 10 hours or less per week. Children in control 2 were not treated by the YAP personnel, but were given an unspecified form of treatment (Gresham et al., 1999). At the end of the project, 47% of the children in the experimental group were reported as having recovered. This indicating that their IQ scores were in the normal range (M=7, Range=94 120), they had passed the first grade in a regular education classroom, and they showed continuing increases in social, emotional, and educational functioning. Lovaas also reported that the school staff described these children as indistinguishable from their normal peers. No children from control 1 and only one child from control 2 reached this point of recovery (Gresham et al., 1999). Although the YAP appears to have been successful, there are many methodological issues to be considered. Most importantly is the lack of random selection, being a threat to both internal and external validity. For example, we cannot prove that the improvements were a direct cause of the treatment and had nothing to do with the children being from the same area. This study has not been able to be ... War is the term for legalized mass murdering that is organized being that not all countries can simply live in harmony with one another. Like most horrible things, it causes more problems than it solves. The effects of this glorified engagement are demonstrated and analyzed within the novels Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumboand Born on the Fourth of July by Ron Kovic. These two novels are the stories of two soldiers who went into two different wars that caused them to deal with great change that would alter their lives forever. Even though these novels accentuate the concept of soldier s overcoming obstacles, they moreso focus on the adversity of saying goodbye, isolation, and sacrifice that many soldiers must deal with. To begin, both authors discuss the hardships people must go through in order to become soldiers, especially that of having to leave behind loved ones. In Dalton Trumbo s Johnny Got His Gun, he expresses and details the difficulty that many soldiers must go through when he writes about Joe Bonham having to say goodbye to his family and girlfriend. For example, in chapter three it states, Oh Joe Joe I don t want you to go. You think I want to go? I m afraid. (Trumbo 34). • 21. Nicaragua And Its Monetary Policy Analysis Essay Nicaragua and its Monetary Policy analysis: Monetary policy is the macroeconomic policy laid down by the central bank. It involves management of money supply and interest rate and is the demand side economic policy used by the government of a country to achieve macroeconomic objectives like inflation, consumption, growth and liquidity. The Monetary Policy of a country further contains 3 sub policies: The Money Supply Policy: This policy determines the source of credit. In most cases, a central bank of a country acts the source. The Interest Rate Policy: This policy determines the cost of credit. The Credit Control Policy: This policy determines the quantum of credit. Monetary Policy works on the fundaments of a money market and LM curve is the locus of equilibrium between the interest rate and income in the money market. LM curve determines the supply side of money and is positively sloped w.r.t to interest rate and income. A Good Man Is Hard to Find by Flannery O’Connor Essay In the short story A Good Man Is Hard to Find, written by Flannery O Connor, the theme that the definition of a good man is mysterious and flawed is apparent. The reader must realize that it is difficult to universalize the definition of a good man because every person goes through different experiences. Thus, these experiences affect his or her viewpoint and in turn flaw ones view on a good man. O Connor conveys this theme through her excellent use of diction, imagery, foreshadowing, and symbolism as well as through a creative use of repetition and an omniscient point of view. The grandmother, the main character of the story, is manipulative. Her definition of a good man refers to the characteristics that a good man should possess.... She [the grandmother] pointed out interesting details of the scenery: Stone Mountain, the blue granite that in some places came up to both sides of the highway; the brilliant red clay banks slightly streaked with purple; and the various crops that made row of green lace work on the ground. The trees were full of silver white sunlight and the meanest of them sparkled. (1286) She uses informal diction to help achieve the targeted theme and her slight use of a southern dialect is one brilliant component that helps her to do so. For example, when the family stops for barbecue sandwiches along their way to Tennessee, the owner s wife compliments the granddaughter. Ain t she cute? Red Sam s wife said, leaning over the counter. Would you like to come be my little girl? (1287). Adding this southern twist of diction as well as the southern setting helps to illustrate the culture the grandmother was raised in. This helps to bridge the gap between what the reader s definition of a good man may be, based off of their cultural upbringing, and the grandmother s definition of a good man. Over the following centuries, the benficiraires of the system, the Latin American elite, continue to exploit indigenous peoples but through very different measures, different menas, legal systems that have made inequality seem natural. Since the colonial era, Indians have been resisting oppression through outright rebellion as in the age of insurrection 1791 when huge armies of Andean natives led by Tupac Amaru from Peru and Tupac Katari from Bolivia almost overcoame the Spanish in Peru and Bolivia. In contemporary times, remote lands of indigenous peoples are under new threats because of the natural resources they hold precisely because these are the regions of refuge these are the areas that are under threat now. • 39. Demand And Demand Theory Essay The main conclusion is that this paper may be seen as evidence that there is a demand and supply theory that may drive the economic reasoning in the analysis of the causes of real world economic phenomena. The experiment reported gives support to the principle that the interplay of demand and supply is the natural system that connects economic policy decisions and other exogenous variables variations to the observed economic and social consequences. One important side effect is that may be buried the intentionally fabricated law of supply and demanddeveloped and marketed by mainstream neoclassical economists. Sponsors of mainstream false science induced the dismissal of the law of supply and demand by almost all real world researchers. This scientific bias helped mainstream economicsto flourish and occupy minds and hearts the world around. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. Poverty Of Poverty And Poverty About 22,000 children die each day as a result of poverty ( Child Mortality Rate Drops ). On their website, The World Bank calculated that the amount of people living in extreme poverty was likely to fall below ten percent in 2015. Even though the poverty rate has decreased, there are still many people living in extreme poverty. One billion children in the world live in poverty and organizations like Compassion International are helping give them a new life ( Poverty Facts and Stats ). What is poverty? There are two specific aspects of poverty. The first aspect is material poverty. This is the lack of life sustaining materials. Many people do not have the resources or money to obtain these materials. Examples of these materials would be clean water or nutritious foods. The second aspect of poverty is spiritual poverty. People living in spiritual poverty have no way of hearing about the gospel. They do not have churches or missionaries in their villages to tell them the good news of God. There is a large number of children living in both of these types of poverty and are searching for ways to escape them. One of the main reasons why poverty is so prevalent in the world is because people are ignorant and selfish. They would rather spend their money on expensive cars and clothes than help buy clothes to dress a child who has nothing at all. Another reason why poverty is so prevalent is because there are not enough job opportunities for people to support their children. With no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Radbruch Stalegary Lawlessness And Supra-Statutory Law In Statutory Lawlessness and Supra Statutory Law Gustav Radbruch talks about the Radbruch Formula that states extreme injustice is no law. (p.126) Radbruch is against positive law because in a situation of conflict between legal certainty and justice, positive law takes precedence even when the content is unjust and fails to benefit the people. (p.132) This is one of the main reasons why Radbruch criticizes positive law, it fails to create justice for the people. Another reason is that according to Radbruch, positive law is incapable of establishing validity of the statutes. Legal validity states that for a law to be valid, it must be given a rule of recognition, which the officials, the society and its members must accept. Members should have the ability to change the laws that govern them and since the positive law does not allow this, certain members of the society are subject to unjust laws, and they cannot do anything about it. For Radbruch, the idea of law comprises of three things; the purpose of the law in serving the public benefit, justice, and legal certainty. Out of these three, Radbruch emphasized that legal certainty has the most importance. Legal certainty is a characteristic of positive law, which means that the legislature enacts the statute. It ensures consistency in the interpretation of law from time to time and supports the notion that any statute is better than no statue. Legal certainty is required for public benefit and for justice. Therefore, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This quote from an unknown author perfectly addresses what I believe a critical step for attaining the American Dream is. To focus on the reasons someone cannot achieve something will only lead to disaster, but when someone takes the one reason why they can succeed, they do. There is no better representation of this and the American Dream than the movie Cinderella Man. It s an idea that no matter how terrible life is, if you have the willpower and hope, anything can be achieved. This is what the American Dream truly is to me. While it may be true that the way the American Dream is embodied changes through generations, i.e. the fight to be acknowledged in October Sky, the essence is still the same. The American Dream is to be able to live, work, thrive, and be whatever you set your mind to. This essence of the American Dream is everything to me because just a few short months ago the concept of the American Dream meant nothing to me. It was just a thing my mother talked about at dinner, or a fable that seemed to irrelevant to notice, but that all changed when I opened my eyes to the real meaning behind it all. It made me feel like there was a purpose to the chaos, it made it all feel real. • 43. The Advent Of Industrialized Civilization Essay The advent of industrialized civilization has brought to us many remarkable feats that enhance our everyday lives. Such things as automobiles, airplanes, tractors, mainframe computers, and even relatively simple machines like lawnmowers have intertwined themselves into the everyday culture of modern day industrialized countries.. These products have provided us enormous benefits compared to the types of lives our ancestors used to live. In the eyes of some, the consequences of industrial activities that have evolved around the world will not pose any problems in the future, however as most have realized, this is not true. Contemporary production processes use fossil fuels such as oil, which release dangerous amounts of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. In addition, certain products such as vehicles are notorious for their inefficient combustion cycles that also release comparable amounts of certain greenhouse gases into the air. Moreover, emissions from agricultural practices, land use change and forestry, and other industrial activities have led to dramatic increases in atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases since pre industrial times. (Fig. 1) The world was quick to act upon this realization by negotiating the Kyoto Protocol in December of 1997, the result of a process that began by a United Nations led conference in the early 90s. Since then, the debate for ratification among the negotiating countries has been ongoing, for the simple ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Biography Of Chuck, An African American Male Chuck, an African American male, was brought to my funeral home after an autopsy had been completed on him. Chuck passed away in a car accident after his car crossed the centerline, was hit by another car and then upon impact burned. Amazingly, Chuck got out of the car but later died on the side of the road before help had arrived. Chuck s ability to get out the car and dying on the side of the road led to this being an autopsy case. While preparing Chuck for his services, I noticed that he has light discolorations on his hands and face due to his car catching on fire. This goes to show that he suffered first degree burns. First degree burns or hyperemia is any injury caused by heat, which produces redness of the skin. This type of burn does not present any unusual difficulty when embalming or preparing the body. Although it is discolored, we have to be thankful that the skin will just be red, unbroken and has no tissue destruction. For the discoloration, I used a stronger than normal arterial injection solution as a precaution against skin slip, applied massage cream during the embalming process and used cosmetics after embalming to help reduce the visibility of the burns on his hands and face. The fact that Chuck has a ruptured aorta causes some difficulties and will affect the embalming process, however embalming can still take place. A ruptured aorta will cause the embalming fluid to fill the cavity rather than going through the arterial system. If one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
