Ratto amp; Ree, professors at the University of Toronto, have labeled 3D printing technology. This
new technology will bring about new cultural expressions as well as a new form of community

In today s age of digital dematerialization, 3D printing technologies remind us of that need. It has
become clear that technological developments have pushed out human society into a state where
technology has become interwoven into our daily lives. 3D printing technologies also have the
potential to change the political order. It is accepted that technologies have political elements and
3D printing may underline the relationship between technology and economic and political order.

COMPARE SALES AND EPS GROWTH TO THE SAME PERIOD LAST YEAR: [FAIL]
Companies must demonstrate both revenue and net income growth of at least 25% as
compared to the prior year. These growth rates give you the dynamic companies that you are
looking for. These rates for NBS ( 14.29% for EPS, and 103.21% for Sales) are not good enough
to pass. INSIDER HOLDINGS: [PASS] NBS s insiders should own at least 10% (they own
16.35% ) of the company s outstanding shares which is the minimum required. A high
percentage typically indicates that the insiders are confident that the company will do well.
CASH FLOW FROM OPERATIONS: [FAIL] A positive cash flow is typically used for internal
expansion, acquisitions, dividend payments, etc. A company that generates rather than
consumes cash is in much better shape to fund such activities on their own, rather than needing
to borrow funds to do so. NBS s free cash flow of $ 0.49 per share fails this test. PROFIT
MARGIN CONSISTENCY: [FAIL] The profit margin in the past must be consistently increasing.
The profit margin of NBS has been inconsistent in the past three years (Current year: 63.93%,
Last year: 33.39%, Two years ago: 226.38%), which is unacceptable. This inconsistency will
carryover directly to the company s bottom line, or earnings per share. R amp;D AS A

Use Of Force In Policing
In terms of police work, the use of force is an inevitable measure. According to the National
Institute of Justice, Law enforcement officers should use only the amount of force necessary to
mitigate an incident, make an arrest, or protect themselves or others from harm. There are also
many factors that need to be taken into consideration, these include: whether or not the amount of
force is justified, whether or not this officer has been properly trained, whether or not the
department will be held criminally liable for the use of force, and so on. Law enforcement
officers are given an incredible amount of discretion solely due to the nature of their career. They
are faced with potentially life threatening situations, which require an exceptional amount of
judgment. Due to these situations, officers are expected to think and act quickly, consciously, and
appropriately. It seems that the use of force is a very necessary aspect of policing, however, the
amount of force used should be handled with great discretion. Officers who use an excessive
amount of force are more than likely to cause a community to become a negative environment....

Force by an officer can range from a factor as simple as the tone of their voice to something as
controversial as lethal measures. Verbal commands, which are widely considered to be non lethal
force, consist of conversational orders and/or verbal threats. The National Institute of Justice
states that officers claim to have used a controversial tone with over half of suspects arrested.
However, if the nature of verbal contact includes shouting, threats, or cursing, it can very well be
considered an element of force. More controversial aspects of force include tasers as well as

A Student s Search For Meaning
A Student s Search for Meaning As I read through Man s Search for Meaning by Viktor E.
Frankl, I grasp on to all the epiphanies and realizations that Frankl reflects upon and take them
into consideration in my own life. Although I have never gone through any experiences even
remotely similar to his experiences in the concentration camps, in this time in my life I am
searching for meaning in a way. Moving on to a new chapter in my life, I feel as though I am
trying to find my purpose, who I am, and who I will become. Therefore, Man s Search for
Meaning has provided me with multiple major insights in my own search for meaning. One of
the most compelling realizations that Frankl expands upon in my opinion is the importance of
love. Frankl, as he is away from his wife in the concentration camp, comes to the conclusion that
love is the ultimate and the highest goal to which man can aspire (Frankl 37). At this time in my
life, love has a different meaning for me than it did for Frankl at the time which he is reflecting
upon. Love, to me, doesn t necessarily mean romance, but rather it means care and devotion. In
my life, this relates back to my family and friends, those I care for and who care for me. Love is
such an important aspect in life because it is ultimately one s strongest connection to others in
their life, and without love without people that you care about is there a meaning in life at all?
Frankl s emphasis on love also gives a different way of approaching

Sir Winston Churchill s We Shall Fight On The Beaches
Delivered in 1940 to the House of Commons of the United Kingdom We shall fight on the
beaches is arguably the most defining speech in world history. Being the second of three
speeches delivered by Prime Minister Winston Churchill, during the midst of World War II. The
speech was used to the deliver news regarding the greatest military disaster to date in Dunkirk. In
his speech Churchill was able to channel into audience patriotic spirit and desire to preserve, by
depicting the deeds of the brave men of British military with conviction. Through his vivid
storytelling, Churchill connects with his audience immediately by providing the horrific details of
them being attacked by hostile aircrafts and the hail of bombs. Churchill s ability to illustrate the
details of what the soldier s encountered while in Belgium places the audience in the perspective of
a soldier in their ammo boots. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However the present circumstances inspired the heart felt message, as it was needed to address
the events prior to the speech. Sir Winston Churchill exemplifies the meaning of leadership and
heroism. His speech accompanied by his actions will continue to leave his legacy cemented in
world history. Utilizing repetition in his speech pattern, and effectively delivering his speech with
outstanding cadence and tone, he was able to uplift and unite the people of Great Britain.
Churchill s heartfelt remarks about perseverance, determination and thoughtfulness heavily
impacted me. I was able to generate a correlation of Churchill s speech, to the work of Martin
Luther King s I have a dream speech. Both speakers were able to effectivity connect with their
audience, and use repetition to instill courage and belief. Churchill and King may have come from
different era s, and appealed to different audiences, but both were able to convey the same message
and be an inspiration to people of the current generation and those to

The Day My Little Sister
Looking back on life, there are many little moments that stand out. Some, more than others, have
shaped you in a way that changed the trajectory of your life. These moments can be anything,
walking left may have saved you from being mugged, choosing the wrong car can get you
stranded in the middle of nowhere. These little choices and events have a way of forming how
we are going to live our lives. There are days that are more important than others, however, for
me only one comes to mind. The day my little sister, Emily, was born is the most important day
of my existence, this day altered my life for the better. When I was an only child, I never felt
lonesome. I was constantly the center of attention. When I was not with my parents, I was with
my Ma and Pa my grandparents I could do anything I wanted to do, because they allowed it.
Although, I always had a small suspicion that I was missing out on something. My friends had
younger siblings, as I observed their interactions I discovered what I was missing out on. I
exhausted myself for hours trying to determine if I wanted a brother or a sister. Eventually, after
thinking it over I implored my parents for a little sister. Years later, my parents told me they
were frightened of my reaction if I happened to get a brother. Nonetheless, I got precisely what I
wanted. Emily was born on a bright Friday morning. I was there the entire time, amusing myself
with my life sized baby doll as I sat in the waiting room. I wanted to help

Weapons of World War I Essay
There was a 17% difference in casualties from the Napoleonic Wars to World War I. This can be
credited mainly to the new weapons. There were many different weapons in World War I, whether
they were completely new or just variations and improvements of previous weapons. Some of the
new weapons included machine guns, mustard gas, Zeppelins, and planes, while some of the
improved weapons included the bolt action rifle, the Howitzer, and pistols. The innovative new
weapons that were introduced in World War Ihave forever changed the way wars were fought.
World War I was the bloodiest and most brutal battle at its time, and without all the new weapons,
it might not have been. World War I started in 1914 and ended in 1918. It was a war fought... Show

The Germans had sent out U boats because they simply could no longer afford a purely
defensive naval strategy. The Germans were the first to use torpedoes in battle to make their U
boats even more deadly. A torpedo is self propelled underwater missile launched from a tube
located on the deck or inside the hull of a warship. Torpedo tubes were first built into submarines
in 1885 by the Swedish armaments manufacturer, Thortsen Nordenfelt. Torpedoes in 1914
carried a contact triggered explosive warhead and had a range of 10,000 meters and could travel
at 41 knots.1 However, their ideal range was about a kilometer because they tended to be
inaccurate over longer distances. The Germans had definitely revolutionized naval with the
introduction of their U boats. If it had not been for them, there may not have been any good
offensive weapons to use at sea. The Germans had created much more powerful weapons by
implementing torpedoes into their U boats. This was a very smart idea by the Germans as it
allowed them to catch many enemies off guard and be much more successful at sea. It was smart
of them to take a more offensive approach to naval battles instead of their usual defensive
approach. Not only was a new approach taken towards naval battle, but land warfare was also
highly improved. Land warfare was perhaps the most improved aspect of World War I in terms of
new weapons and combat strategies. Not

Is Bridget jones nothing more than Pride and Prejudice in...
Love and marriage is the theme of the best selling book Bridget Jones Diary by Helen Fielding
and the critically acclaimed novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. There are numerous
similarities between the two yet they are set in different eras. Despite this, the young women in
both texts have to deal with family and people in their social circles pressurising them to meet the
ideal man or love interest.
Each story revolves around the main female characters, Bridget Jones and Elizabeth Bennet. In pride
prejudice, the financial status of the women was more of an issue when it came to finding an ideal
partner, than it was in Bridget Jones Diary. The Bennets were not very financially secure, so Mrs
Bennet would arrange or attend parties ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nowadays, this has changed as Bridget s love life with her boyfriend Daniel Cleaver, affects no
one but herself and she is not concerned how her relationship with him will affect her parents.
In both texts the men have very high expectations of the women they want to date or court, and
seem to disregard women who do not reach these standards. An example of this is when Bridget
overhears Mark Darcy talking about her to his mother remarking on how inappropriate her
language is and how dependable she is on alcohol and cigarettes. Mother I do not need a blind
date. Particularly not with some verbally incontinent spinster who drinks like a fish, smokes like
a chimney and dresses like her mother. Mark doesn t want to be associated or fixed up with Bridget
as she does not fit his ideal.
Equally, Mr Darcy tells his friend Mr Bingley how outspoken and rude the Bennet girls are, and
how he dislikes the family. He makes this known to Elizabeth by refusing to dance with her.
Indeed, sir, I have not the least intention of dancing. I entreat you not to suppose that I moved this
way in order to beg for a partner. Mr Darcy replied with this, when asked if he would like to dance
with her.
Mr Darcy feels Elizabeth is of a lower status than himself, and looks down on her for that, in the
same way that Mark does on Bridget preferring to keep friendship with his more likely partner
Natasha his work colleague.
Bridget feels personally, that she is

Rick Warren The Purpose Driven Church Summary
Rick Warren is an influential pastor that has authored many books to influence men and women
in the kingdom of God. The Purpose Driven Church is an excellent book written by Rick Warren
(1995). This book gives the reader a glimpse of the critical things that should be considered in the
church. Although, this may not be a blueprint to start a church, however, Warren provides his
personal experience of starting a church and how the church grew like a living organism. Warren
(1995) states, The key issue for churches in the twenty first century will be church health, not
growth (p. 17). He did a great job of shifting your perspective of how the church has the potential
to grow if you as the leader take the proper steps and putting in the... Show more content on

These five areas that Warren (1995) presented are essentials that will aid in the church being
driven by purpose. For the church to stand, it must have a solid foundation. Warren (1995) states,
a foundation is laid by clarifying in the minds of everyone involved exactly why the church
exists and what it is supposed to do (p. 86). When people have an understanding of their purpose,
it will induce cohesiveness in the ministry. It is vital for the leader to define the churches
purpose, organize around them, and application is imperative. Therefore, once the church has
reached a definitive purpose, it is time to carry out the Great Commission. Understanding the
demographic area and who the church is going to serve with help with carrying out the purpose
of the ministry. Therefore, when the church gets understanding of the people that they are going
to target, it will help them to implore a strategic plan. According to Warren (1995), The more
your target is in focus, the more likely it is that you will be able to hit it (p. 172). It is critical for
the church create a process to work through their purpose. When there is a process to their
purpose, it will help the purpose to be carried out daily. However, the ministry shouldn t focus on
growing a church with programs but focus on growing people with a process (Warren, 1995).
Warren (1995), emphasized that his deep conviction that anybody can be won to Christ if you
discover the key to his or her heart (p. 216). It is the act of love that will help the purpose driven
church to meet the people s needs. When the ministry has the people attending the church, it is the
pastor s job to teach the principles of the Bible. It is the word of God that is going to change the
hearts of the people.

Truman Capote Summary
The book is about Truman Capote studying the murders that happened in 1956 to the cutter

this was still relatively new it gave readers a deeper look into this intriguing mystery.

In short but very long buildings, there are many damaging effects during earthquake shaking. And,

Horizontal Layout of Buildings
In short, the simple geometry buildings have performed better during the earthquakes. Buildings
with re entrant corners, such as those U, V, H and + shaped in plan, have been able to sustain
significant damage. Many times, the bad effects of earthquakes can be avoided by making the
buildings in two parts. Like, an L shaped plan can be divided into two rectangular plan shapes using
a partition point at the junction. At times, the plan of buildings is simple, but the columns/walls are

Basis Of International Trade Essay
International trade is historically the oldest and most widespread form of external economic
relations. It is a movement of goods that represents a foreign exchange, that is, goods cross the
boundaries of the individual countries or economic unit. Foreign trade links the country s internal
economy with the world economy and fulfills important functions in the process of developing the
productive forces and international division of labor. (Markusen, 1995)
The basis of foreign trade is the realization of imports and exports of goods and services between
the domestic economy and other countries. The theoretical basis of foreign trade policy consists
of individual theories of foreign trade, which have been formed since the 18th century. These
theories were protectionist or liberal, depending on the objectives and the tools used. Each state
has its own foreign trade policy. Foreign trade policy to be defined as a set of principles and
measures undertaken by the state in the field of foreign trade using trade policy instruments.
(Markusen, 1995)
The history of foreign trade relations in the world economy is linked to a dispute between the two
basic ties of trade policy. The first type is protectionism, whose supporters maintain a protectionist
approach and try to enforce trade barriers to foreign competition. The second type is liberalism,
whose supporters advocate free trade. (Reuvid Sherlock, 2004)

Environmental Laws And Its Effects On The United States
During the late 1700s, many Americans advocated for social justice, economic empowerment,
property rights and environmental protection. Their advocacy created a national phenomenon that
empowered government and policymakers to execute policies aimed at solving these problems
nationwide. The government again took action to enact numerous laws, some of which became the
foundation for modern environmental policyand regulations in the United States. On the national
level, the first federal action to respond to public concerns about air quality was the Clean Air Act
of 1955 (Longhurst and Lewis 2010, 39).The implementation of some of these newly created
environmental laws began to interfere with state regulations, and as such, they often violated
citizen s propertyrights. Although such policy oftentimes violates citizen rights, it allows
government and policymakers to respond to the growing population and market demand.
Infringement on property rights did not just take root in the environmental sector in the 1800s. It
started as a result of massive construction, inadequate hazardous waste disposal systems, and
overpopulation due to urbanization and economic growth in the nineteenth century. It became clear
that uncontrolled pollution, including underwater pollutions, led to the spread of environmental
disease, thus affecting human health and safety.
The federal government understood that the negative effects of unrestrained urbanization were
posing a major challenge for its

What is the meaning of culture? What makes up one s culture? How does a person s
surrounding affect their culture? Culture as we know it is all our surroundings that shape who
we are as individuals and societies. Culture is learned, shared, transmitted across generations, it
takes time to develop, and it is subject to change. When we are born, we are not immediately
aware of our culture, it must be learned. The way we learn our culture is through shared
knowledge and experiences that are often passed down from generation to generation. These
aspects of our cultures are fostered over long periods of time and are influenced by not only the
people around us but also the geographical location, however culture is always subject to change
due to the human nature and the ever changing society we live in. One of the key factors that
plays a major role in our culture development is the region of the world that we live in. In the
country of Spainone of the accepted cultural norms is nudity, given the heavy Mediterranean
climate and hot summers. This may seem very strange to you given it is also illegal here in our
country but is legal and not to uncommon in Spain. This has been a developed aspect of their
culture in Spain given their region of the world. Spain is comprised of mostly rugged hills,
mountains, and coastline running along both the Mediterranean Seaand the Atlantic Ocean.
Mainland Spain is the second highest and mountainous country in Europe, with an

Eyewitness And Meta-Analysis
2.2 million people are currently incarcerated. A little over 1% of those people are on death row.
Those 2,900 people are set to die because they have been convicted of a heinous crime by a jury
of their peers who found their guilt to be beyond a reasonable doubt. A study which polls jurors
found that eyewitness testimony is the most compelling evidence which leads a jury to convict
(Kerr). But researchers and lawyers can attest that not all 2.2 million people who are currently
incarcerated are guilty (Innocence). In some percentage of these cases, the eyewitnesses testifying
must have been wrong.

ZIEGLER WILLIAM JOHN. The testimony of Vickie Bosarge at William Ziegler s trial
suggests that eyewitness testimony should not be the determiner. At William Ziegler s trial,
Vickie Bosarge had testified that Baker (the victim) and the defendant, William Ziegler among
some others, were at her house on February 18, 2000. The Court of Criminal Appeals relied on
Vickie Bosarge s testimony in affirming William Ziegler s conviction, stating that Borsarge s
testimony corroborated testimony as to Ziegler s supposed intent to kill Baker (The State). At a
later hearing, however, Bosarge renounced her prior trial testimony and testified that William
Ziegler was not at her house the night of the murder and that he never threatened Baker (the
victim) that night. (Other witnesses also testified that Ziegler was not present.) Bosarge
explained how she came to misidentify William Ziegler as having threatened Baker.
Specifically, Bosarge testified that when law enforcement contacted her, she was confused
because Ziegler and Randall (another defendant) are both named William. She pointed out to
law enforcement that she didn t know the name of the person she saw at her house. According to

The Need for Waste-to-energy on Ships
The Need for Waste to energy on Ships
Waste to energy power plants are lowering the amount of waste we have in landfills and turning that
into energy to meet industrial needs. What if there was a way to shrink these power plants and put
them onto cargo and passenger ships? According to the Palm Beach Post, the Environmental
Protection Agency says, a cruise ship with 3,000 passengers can generate 210,000 of gallons of
waste and sewage and 1 million gallons of grey water from showers and drains in a typical week.
1 Most of the material that lands in these waters is not biodegradable. The majority of ships will
dump their waste into the ocean, while others will store it until they get back to land, only to dump
the waste into landfills.
There are four reasons why having small generators on ships would work:
1)The use of generators would create job opportunities;
2)The generators are environmentally safe;
3)There would be abundant source of waste to use as fuel; and
4)The generators would keep dangerous waste, like plastic, from entering the waters.
The technology to produce energy from waste has already been proven to work. With a small
generator, ships would be recycling the waste into energy that could be used for providing
electricity, transportation, and industrial needs.
Waste to nearby facilities have already proved to be a great investment on land.2 The facilities
provide financial and environment benefits to the communities

Monroe Doctrine In Early American History
The Monroe doctrine is an exemplary piece of work that has helped the U.S. throughout history,
and will most likely continue helping us in the future. These assistances from the Monroe doctrine
include: keeping European settlers out in early American history when the document was made,
helped us expand to the west, and allowed us to defend Cuba from the Russians. In early American
history there was a lot of conflict between European powers, and the U.S. mostly for their
interference in the American ways of life and constantly creating settlements on our land. Once the
Monroe document was made, it struck the nerve of those European domestic disturbers and gave us
the right to stop those hinder some acts. Sure while we would have eventually ended up doing the

resistance until we own all of the new world. In 1842 president John Tyler applied this document
to Hawaii forcing the British to end interference and then began bringing Hawaii to the U.S.

they ceded for 20 million and gave us that land (until allowed legal independence from the U.S.

company in America. It held roughly 16% of the domestic express mail market by 1997. It
provides time sensitive delivery of documents, letters, small packages, and freight in the United
States and internationally. The company has several advantages over its rivals, such as it provides
delivery services at a lower cost of up to 20% over FedEx and UPS; it operates the nation s only
privately owned foreign trade zone in Wilmington; it is more flexible and provides more customer

competition among the big three is quite fierce. Yet normally FedEx and UPS lead the market. The

The US Postal Service served much of the rest of the market. However, it has a limited popularity
just among residential customers because it is inefficient in package tracking and has a much
worse on time delivery record. It has a legal monopoly for first class letters. But the company is
prohibited by law from offering volume discounts to customers.
DHL and TNT focus on the international market and trans border shipments. DHL offer hard to

yet basic use of punctuation develops imagery that connects the concept of death with iconic people

that regardless of social status, deathis inevitable. cummings unique style of punctuation plays a
role in creating an image of Buffalo Bill for the reader. When describing Buffalo Bill s actions in his

These descriptive lines create an image of Buffalo Bill horseback riding while shooting clay

connection implies how polished and smooth Bill s performance is and how sleek his stallion

Edward Hopper Analysis
Nighthawks by Edward Hopper is one of my all time favorite paintings and has been a painting I
have enjoyed researching throughout my life because of how much I resonate with this work of
art. This is an astonishing painting, not only in the sense of it being a piece of beautiful art and
art history but because this is a piece that is so significant and loved by so many people around
the world. I would say that even if you have not ever seen the original painting, you have probably
seen it reproduced in different ways in many different places.
The world is bursting with all kinds of versions of this painting. All of these tributes are made
because of how much this painting has resonated with the people who have seen it. The beautiful
composition and the many well used elements in this painting have always intrigued and interested
a countless number of people. I think that Hopper created a piece that truly does resonate with so
many different people.
Edward Hopper expressed his love for art early in his life and was determined to make something
out of himself in the field of art:
Edward Hopper was born in Nyack, New York, a town located on the west side of the Hudson
River, to a middle class family that encouraged his artistic abilities. After graduating from high

Tattoos have decorated bodies for centuries. From religious beliefs, to punishment, to adornment,
tattoos have reflected personal stories for each of the bodies it marks. In the modern era, tattoos

Depending on the person s professional line of work, a tattoo can make or break their career.
Some professions may require attire that exposes more skin than other occupations. The company
may want to ensure that tattoos are able to be covered in order to present that company s particular
image. These factors need to be considered by those people with tattoos that are active in the job
market.
When someone is seeking employment, it is important to create a positive first impression. This
impression should convince a prospective employer that his or her appearance is suitable for the
company s image. The first thing the interviewer sees is the candidate s physical appearance.
Unfortunately, if someone has a visible tattoo, he or she is most likely going to be viewed as
trashy in the conservative, professional world (Business Legal Reports, 2005). A survey conducted
by Vault (2007) reveals that 85% of respondents think tattoos impede one s chances of finding a job
(Business Legal Reports, 2007). Similarly, a survey conducted by the Employment Law Alliance
(2005) reveals that 39% of Americans should be able to deny employment based on tattoos
(Business Legal Reports, 2005). These survey results clearly show that the negative stigma
associated with tattoos can hurt a person s quest in securing future employment. Because of this
negative connotation, most tattooed persons face an immediate disadvantage the moment they

How Did Shakespeare Influence Romeo And Juliet
William Shakespeare, a prosperous Renaissance man, is known as the greatest playwright in
English literature. He was born on April 23, 1564 in a small town called Stratford upon Avon,
Warwickshire, England to John and Mary Arden Shakespeare (Waller). William started his writing
during the time period where individuality and freedom of choice were put emphasis on. This
lifestyle greatly influenced a vast majority of his works and his contributions to the English
language. Shakespeare has written over thirty seven plays, his most famous being Romeo and

that could rarely be forgotten, once heard or read. Shakespeare attended class at King s New

Marine Environment Essay
Introduction
Australia is one of the main coal producing countries in the world, ranking the first in coal export
and the fourth in the coal production in 2012 (International Energy Agency 2012). On global scale,
coal accounted for a third of primary energy needs and 41.1% of electricity generation in 2014,
when its production reached 8022.5 Mt (World CoalAssociation 2015).
Steps involved in coal industry have shown to pollute the marine environment by various means.

One industry in particular that had essentially avoided China in the years prior to the resurgence
of the country s economy was the Quick Service Industry. China had never truly experienced

their food preference, being that they are large consumers of meat, but there was also a

However, with all things good come some hurdles that make companies looking to expand have

also included that We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce
urgency of now. , for that Now is time to make justice a reality for all of God s children (King). In
these statements, King mostly inspires the supporters of the civil rights movement, as he
acknowledges his direct reason for their presence and for his insightful words to the nation. King
uses now as a sense urgency to assert time, and includes God as a technique to increase his audience

experienced something transcendent (Magner). Magner would indirectly agree that the attitude of

The Waiting Room, By Director Peter Nix Essay
The documentary The Waiting Room is about a safety net hospital located in Oakland, California.
In the film, director Peter Nix follows patients, doctors, and staff throughout a typical day.
Furthermore, the film displays how the staff is overworked, and how the American health care
system is affecting millions of uninsured patients who try to cope with injury and disease. The film
utilizes techniques from the observational mode such as long takes, crisis structure, and
documenting unplanned everyday experiences to convey the cruel realities of Americans seeking
hope and treatment.
The Waiting Room incorporates the observational mode trait of long takes to illustrate the chaos
that occurs in the waiting room and behind the scenes of the hospital. Moreover, the long takes in
the film provide a bit of each patients background story and allows people to express their concerns
instead of revealing character individuality, which can help the viewer infer why the health care
system in America is failing. The long takes help uncover, The body language, and eye contact,
the intonation and tone of the voices, the pauses and empty time that gives the encounter the sense
of concrete, lived reality (Nicholas 176), that depicts each patients harsh reality of what it is like
living with no health insurance. For example, there is a scene where a little girl and her mom
follow a nurse into a room, the camera follows them and the viewer can see the crazy amount of
working staff. As

The Prince Of Tides, By Susan Lowenstein
Ethics is something we all face at some point in our lives and in social work, we will be running
into ethical dilemmas on an everyday basis. The Prince of Tides is an insightful movie, every
minute of it left me with my eyes glued to the screen. Although, this movie does have some minor
problems within the plot. Prince of Tides is a movie about a grown woman named Savannah
Wingo and she struggles with suicide and depression. She lives in New York while her brother,
Tom Wingo, lives in South Carolina. She attempts suicide once again and the psychiatrist requests
that Tom come to New York to visit Savannah. Tom arrives in New York and instantly becomes
involved in Savannah s case and the psychiatrist, Susan Lowenstein. While trying to... Show more

Lowenstein should not have shared that kind of information to her husband. This kind of behavior
violates the Code of Ethics and can result in a loss of her license.
Another strong ethical issue was the huge confidentiality issues that involves Susan and
Savannah s family. Susan reveals information about Savannah s sessions while she was still in a
medically induced coma, so clearly there was not permission to do so from Savannah or from a
legal stance. The Code of Ethics prohibits this kind of behavior and as a social worker is not
acceptable.
Fourth ethical issue I spotted was the relationship was deepened when Dr. Lowenstein asked
Tom to coach her son in football. This is an indicator of a dual relationship that should be
prohibited. Football is a contact sport and this created a relationship between Tom and Susan s
son. The relationship escalated as Tom and the son we rolling around in the grass and became
close as summer went on. This is an unreasonable distance between client and Susan s personal
life. If this was a social work colleague, my ethical responsibility would to be consider both
parties and approach the colleague to gather information and get a better understanding of the
situation. Also, it would be a good idea to check the agencies work policies just to make sure this
is a violation. If it is it might be a good idea to let the supervisor of the agency know what has been
happening so the supervisor is not completely

Peacekeeping An Effective Method Of Conflict Intervention...
While peacekeeping has become a mainstay of the United Nations collaboration in international
affairs, it is evident that peacekeeping no longer espouses the ideals it was create with.
Peacekeeping has devolved into ineffective barbarisms. This is evident in the sexual abuses
perpetrated by peacekeepers, the growing complexity of peacekeepingmandates, which is at times
in conflict with United Nationsprinciples, and the lack of legal institutions surrounding
peacekeeping, which validates a belief of impunity. However, peacekeeping is not to be totally
derided as, in certain situations, it can be effective at limiting civilian deaths. Furthermore,
peacekeeping can be made effective if several reforms are enacted. These include an effective legal
order, an understanding of local culture, and developing strong relationships within the jurisdiction
of the operation. These changes could make peacekeeping an effective method of conflict
intervention.
Peacekeepers have committed various sexual crimes against local populations whilst under the
purview of the United Nations, yet few of these peacekeepers have ever been prosecuted for their
crimes. The international community became aware of the damaging deficiencies of peacekeeping
during the decade leading up to the twenty first century (Wills 2013, 49; Odello and Burke 2016,
839). Additionally, despite being aware of the sexual crimes being committed by peacekeepers,
very little has been accomplished to rectify the situation or to

What is the importance of effective communication in coaching?
Communication is the cornerstone of coaching; and effective communication is the primary
prerequisite of effective coaching. Even if the coach and person being coached speak completely
different languages, the coaching relationship can be built on nonverbal communication.
Communication engenders trust, and allows the coach to transmit knowledge, ideas, and emotions
to the mentee. As Burton Raedeke (n.d.) point out, As a coach, you can say a lot without uttering a
word: A frown, a look of disbelief, a disgusted shake of your head, or a smile can communicate quite
a bit. Some coaches might not know how much of an impact their nonverbal communication styles
make on those they are trying to help. Therefore, mastery of nonverbal and verbal communication
skills becomes the most critical component of an effective, successful coaching relationship.
There are no rights and wrongs to effective communication in a coaching context. This is because
every coach, and every individual being coached, has his or her own style of communication (
Coaching Communication Style: Verbal, n.d.). Likewise, each individual being coached will also
have a specific communication style. No two coaches, and no two coaching relationships, will
express themselves in the same way. However, there are specific communication factors that should
be included when developing a personal communications strategy and technique for use in the

Amendments Of The First Amendment
First Amendment: 1.The first amendment addresses that people have the freedom to practice and
engage in a religion and the government cannot impose on this right. This same amendment also
states that we have a right and freedom of speech, press, petition the government and also
peaceful assemblies of people (so protest or even walks for different causes). 2(a): In North
Carolina, there was a law that banned sex offenders from using social media in efforts of deterring
them from preying on people through the means of the internet. Although this would sound great to
a majority of people who cannot support these evil individuals, the Supreme Court decided that by
taking away someones privilege of using social media, it was inevitably taking away their right of
free speech. The Court also went on to doing away with this law in North Carolina. This court case
was Packingham vs. North Carolina (http://www.newseuminstitute.org/first amendment center
/supreme court cases/) 2(b): In Missouri a church was deemed ineligible for receiving public
funding because it was a place of religious worship. The Supreme Court said that this imposed on
the churches first amendment rights because this church qualified for some funding and even
though it was a house of worship, the first amendment allows them to practice religion freely
without any government intervention. This also led them to say that they were eligible for funding
and should have received it.

Analysis Of Gangsta Rap By W. A.
1988, That s when the so called Gangsta Rap emerged with the album Straight out of Compton
N.W.A as a huge product that appealed to the younger generation of African Americans since it was
the rawest thing they ve heard, in my opinion, it is as raw as the reality surrounding young African
Americans, which is the reason why it became something huge. The album Straight out of
Compton, N.W.A is one the most successful figures in the hip hop industry by being a classic that
is still being played to this day. The huge success was rewarded by the most important certifications
in the world of music, by being a double platinum which means this it doubled the minimum limit

The first three songs of the Album are a truly unsafe intro to the streets of South central L.A,
Compton. The song F the Police in particular have caused a wide outrage because it came in at a
time when the streets are frustrated with the police for police brutality, harassment, racism, and
being labeled as thugs. The frustration has reached its limits with protests and outrage by the
public when the police refused to provide security for the N.W.A concert tours, as if the police
picked its side against whoever takes part of the movement against its own harassments to the
African American community in Compton. In 1989, a rare scene in the history of music occurred
when the F.B.I notably sent a message to Ruthless Records, the label company for N.W.A,
excoriating the music and all of its content. The message have caused the N.W.A to put it out to
the public, even though it felt like a threat to stop making the music that caused the N.W.A to be
more powerful, mainstream and even noticed outside of the United States for places that go
through same difficulties in life and roughness that the world was totally ignoring. The message
from the FBI is a historical figure in representing the approach by the government to demolish the
rights of the N.W.A group members to freedom of speech even though it invites to fighting the
power, and it is today at the Rock and Roll

from the four pieces of research selected for use in this literature review. The articles consist of
two qualitative papers, one quantitative and one mixed methods. Two papers are from the United
States, one is Australian and One is from the Republic of Ireland. No papers from the United
Kingdom have been selected due to the lack of recent research on the selected topic and inferior
quality of the available material. Moreover, the similarities within the Emergency departments are
such that the research is both generalizable and transferable and can be applied in a British hospital

Furthermore, the researches included a chaplain and a social worker in the survey, thus making
the suitability of the participants questionable, which may invalidate the results (Parahoo, 2014).
The study concluded that the majority of healthcare providers (HP S) were supportive of FWR
(73%) despite concerns regarding the behaviour of family members and concern for the
emotional burden that they associated with witnessing resuscitation. However, most participants
stressed that they would prefer a designated member of staff to accompany the witnesses during
the resuscitation (Lederman and Wacht, 2014). In contrast, a study by Bushby et al (2012),
which comprised of a self completed anonymous questionnaire of all HP s within the ED of a
single Australian hospital; found that the preponderance of staff who were opposed to FWR
perceived that it would have a negative emotional impact on the family member. Their concerns
focused on the prospect of the witness developing Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
However, there is a wealth of strong evidence to suggest the contrary (Jabre et al, 2013; Hanson et
al, 2005; Holzhauser et al; 2006 and Meyer et al, 2000. This suggests that awareness of current

Similarities Between The Great Gatsby And Romeo And Juliet
Baz Luhrmann film study
The Great Gatsby and Romeo Juliet
Introduction
Baz Luhrmann is an Australian born director. He is known for his adaptation of Romeo and Juliet
in 1996 and The Great Gatsby in 2013, amongst others such as Strictly Ballroom and The Moulin
Rouge. He is the creator of Red Curtain Cinema and in his eccentric filming methods: highlights
important themes and ideas through the fast pace, camera angles, and use of modern music in
period films.
Luhrmann is eccentric and unconventional in his filming as he illustrates ideas and themes to
modern audiences while still working with older texts. He uses Red Curtain Cinema in all his
movies. Red Curtain Cinema breaks classic Hollywood traditions and the purpose of it is to

The use of guns in Romeo and Juliet is essential and is possibly the most important prop used in
the film. The guns replace swords, illustrating the violence between the Montague and Capulet feud.
Similarly, the importance of props to convey and highlight an important idea from the original text
is also evident in The Great Gatsby. Jay Gatsby s signet ring and cane are frequently displayed:
indicative of Jay s stature. Luhrmanns use of cars and the obvious colour similarities in both
movies is evident. In Romeo and Juliet cars are another tool used to demonstrate the Montague
and Capulet feud, the cars are opposite colours: blue for Montague and yellow for Capulet. The
use of opposing hotel buildings with the words Montague and Capulet further reinforce the
importance of the feud from the original text in the film. In The Great Gatsby the use of yellow
and blue coloured cars is similar to that of Romeo and Juliet displaying the opposing parties, Jay
Gatsby (yellow) and Tom Buchanan

Three Key Characters Of Hawking In Ripper By Stefan Petrucha
In the novel Ripper by Stefan Petrucha a fourteen year old boy named Carver is adopted and is
mentored by a retired detective named Albert Hawking. This book focuses around Carver and
how he deals with being an orphan, as well as trying to be adopted before he gets thrown onto the
streets by Ellis like a bag of trash. The novel has many key events that drive the plotforward, but
these can be boiled down into three main events. The three events are when Carver becomes
adopted by Mr. Hawking and is mentored in the ways of a detective, when it is revealed to Carver
who is father is and what role he has played in his life throughout the novel, and the resolution of
the novel when carver receives the final note from his father that leaves some questions to be
answered.
The first event starts the entire plot of the book, which is when Carver is adopted by Mr.
Hawking. This event sets into motion the rest of the novel as Carver is trained to become detective
just as Hawking did, and that sets up the antagonist of the novel Jack The Ripper. For Carver to be
adopted he had to prove his skills to Hawking through a series of puzzles designed by Hawking,
as Carver is struggling to solve the last test Hawking finds him and says, Boy, you ve come this
far you can t just back down now (Petrucha 32). Hawking s motivation drove Carver to solve the
last puzzle revealing the New Pinkerton agencies secret base of operation. Carver walks into the
agency and remembers the letter his

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Alliances
Significant developments have occurred in the field of air transport. A large number of countries
made remarkable progress in liberalizing international air transport regulations, and became
involved in full market access arrangements. At the same time, the airline industry underwent a
major shift and saw the forging alliances and mergers between companies in order to consolidate
their presence in a market environment characterized by strong competition. (Icao.int, 2013)

Disadvantages of Alliances are
In spite of their major advantages, airline alliances were criticized on a number of points including:
Alliances may not respect antitrust rules. Thereby exclude certain companies from the market, and
promote fair competition standards.
Due to their management of many key points and their competitive and marketing powers, alliances
could lead to the downfall of some companies that have to compete as low cost companies.
Alliances have grown radically, making their partnerships increasingly complex. (Icao.int, 2013)
Here are few more different disadvantages of the Alliances
Weaker management involvement or less equity stake.
Fear of market insulation due to local partner s presence.
Less efficient communication.
Poor resource allocation.
Difficult to keep objectives on target over time.
Loss of control over such important issues as product quality, operating costs, employees, etc.

Families on the Home Front during WWII by Ewa Bieciuk
HIST 2200 U.S. History Since 1877
Summer 2015
Prof. Hardin September 1st, 1939 is a day that changed the course of history. Lives were lost,
families ripped apart, towns destroyed, and jobs were created. World War II had just begun with
the majority of the main countries in our world participating in the war that would ultimately kill
millions of soldiers and civilians. Two years later, on December 8th, 1941 after the Japanese
surprisingly attacked Pearl Harbor, the United States entered the war fully. During this time, the
U.S. enlisted the help of the entire nation; soldiers, factory workers, nurses, and doctors were
required both overseas and on the home front. While many men were sent to fight over seas or
prepare at combat training on bases in the U.S., factories and other business were left with a
shortage of workers. World War II encouraged, or more accurately, forced, women and wives to
leave their homes to begin working. A familiar image that many Americans are familiar with is of
the women flexing announcing We Can Do It! , which is greatly recognized as a symbol of the
female presence in the workforce. Young adults dropped out of school to help out in numerous
ways. The amount of children working also increased greatly. Desperate measures to save money
and help in the wartime effort lead to many drastic changes in roles and lifestyles of American
families on the home front.

Stowe, Wheatley, And Truth Essay
When it comes to Stowe, Wheatley, and Truth there is one universal factor that they all had in
common. That factor was they all shared a common theme and all their novels and that theme
was based on slavery. Each of these authors have their own way of expressing their opinions of
slavery and how they portrayed it. They also all had different approaches and different writing
styles. The pieces of work that will be covered o express to answer the these questions are Uncle
Tom s Cabin by Stowe, His Excellency General Washington by Wheatley, and Ain t I a Woman by
Truth.
Stowe s political objectives played a huge role in effecting the style and formal aspect of his novel
Uncle Tom s Cabin. His main political objective was to get people to ... Show more content on

But I do not agree with this. I feel that Stowe was just trying to spread awareness and let people
know the extreme experiences that slaves were actually put through. I feel that this is very
different then promoting racial stereotypes. In a way I feel like this is challenging them more
because it is more real and honest. This novel says it how it was there was no sugar coating
whatsoever. This to me was a great approach because it was better at spreading awareness of what
all those people actually went through.
I believe that Wheatley s work is revolutionary in content. I believe this because of what was
discussed in the pieces of work One century scarce performed its destined round, When Gallic
powers Columbia s fury found; And so may you, whoever dares disgrace The land of freedom s
heaven defended race! Fixes are the eyes of nations on the scales, For in their hopes Columbia s
arm prevails. Anon Britannia droops the pensive head, While round increase the rising hills of
dead. Ah! Cruel blindness to Columbia s state! Lament thy thirst of boundless power too late.
(Wheatley) This quote from His Excellency General Washington by Wheatley to me is very
revolutionary in content. I feel this because it was meant for George Washingtonand set to him.
This all ties in to one because at the time that this poem was sent to George Washington he was the
newly appointed commander and chief of the Armies of North America. This to me

What is healthy eating? How can you achieve healthy and at the same time smart way of eating?
These questions can really trigger the thinking of some people out there that had been eating but are
not aware if what they are eating is actually healthy and smart enough to meet their daily needs.
Healthy eating is never really about any strict and word for word nutritional theories and
philosophies. It is not also having an unrealistic slim body, nor depriving and not allowing yourself
to take the food that you love. Healthy eating is actually feeling great about it, using the right
amount of energy, and making and seeing yourself healthy in all possible means. In addition, all of

Opting for fresh fruits and vegetables can be one of the key points that are lacking and not
included in the diet of most people. This is primarily because of the price. However, an option
that we can take here is to try to find some local shops that sell out cheap but quality produce.
Farmers market is also another option that can give you low prices as compared with the
supermarkets and groceries. Making this big leap is not only a major benefit to your health but also
it can extend the shelf life of the products; this will in turn lower down the potential of wasting.
There are still other ways that you can do in order to eat healthy and smart. A lot of online
suggestions are also given. And take note that trying to make a healthy diet that you want to
achieve overnight is impossible. When you try to change everything that you were used to, and
doing it all at once is like cheating on yourself, too. Gradually but surely is more likely.
Remember that healthy or smart eating do not have to be totally expensive and luxurious. All you
need to do is some proper planning and going out of your way to look for healthy and practical
options., instead of just moping there and doing

This new technology will bring about new cultural expressions as well as a new form of community exchange. Human beings have a physical and psychological need to keep one foot in the real world. In today s age of digital dematerialization, 3D printing technologies remind us of that need. It has become clear that technological developments have pushed out human society into a state where technology has become interwoven into our daily lives. 3D printing technologies also have the potential to change the political order. It is accepted that technologies have political elements and 3D printing may underline the relationship between technology and economic and political order. COMPARE SALES AND EPS GROWTH TO THE SAME PERIOD LAST YEAR: [FAIL] Companies must demonstrate both revenue and net income growth of at least 25% as compared to the prior year. These growth rates give you the dynamic companies that you are looking for. These rates for NBS ( 14.29% for EPS, and 103.21% for Sales) are not good enough to pass. INSIDER HOLDINGS: [PASS] NBS s insiders should own at least 10% (they own 16.35% ) of the company s outstanding shares which is the minimum required. A high percentage typically indicates that the insiders are confident that the company will do well. CASH FLOW FROM OPERATIONS: [FAIL] A positive cash flow is typically used for internal expansion, acquisitions, dividend payments, etc. A company that generates rather than consumes cash is in much better shape to fund such activities on their own, rather than needing to borrow funds to do so. NBS s free cash flow of $ 0.49 per share fails this test. PROFIT MARGIN CONSISTENCY: [FAIL] The profit margin in the past must be consistently increasing. The profit margin of NBS has been inconsistent in the past three years (Current year: 63.93%, Last year: 33.39%, Two years ago: 226.38%), which is unacceptable. • 4. Use Of Force In Policing In terms of police work, the use of force is an inevitable measure. According to the National Institute of Justice, Law enforcement officers should use only the amount of force necessary to mitigate an incident, make an arrest, or protect themselves or others from harm. There are also many factors that need to be taken into consideration, these include: whether or not the amount of force is justified, whether or not this officer has been properly trained, whether or not the department will be held criminally liable for the use of force, and so on. Law enforcement officers are given an incredible amount of discretion solely due to the nature of their career. They are faced with potentially life threatening situations, which require an exceptional amount of judgment. Due to these situations, officers are expected to think and act quickly, consciously, and appropriately. It seems that the use of force is a very necessary aspect of policing, however, the amount of force used should be handled with great discretion. Officers who use an excessive amount of force are more than likely to cause a community to become a negative environment.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Force by an officer can range from a factor as simple as the tone of their voice to something as controversial as lethal measures. Verbal commands, which are widely considered to be non lethal force, consist of conversational orders and/or verbal threats. The National Institute of Justice states that officers claim to have used a controversial tone with over half of suspects arrested. However, if the nature of verbal contact includes shouting, threats, or cursing, it can very well be considered an element of force. More controversial aspects of force include tasers as well as ... • 5. A Student s Search For Meaning A Student s Search for Meaning As I read through Man s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl, I grasp on to all the epiphanies and realizations that Frankl reflects upon and take them into consideration in my own life. Although I have never gone through any experiences even remotely similar to his experiences in the concentration camps, in this time in my life I am searching for meaning in a way. Moving on to a new chapter in my life, I feel as though I am trying to find my purpose, who I am, and who I will become. Therefore, Man s Search for Meaning has provided me with multiple major insights in my own search for meaning. One of the most compelling realizations that Frankl expands upon in my opinion is the importance of love. Frankl, as he is away from his wife in the concentration camp, comes to the conclusion that love is the ultimate and the highest goal to which man can aspire (Frankl 37). At this time in my life, love has a different meaning for me than it did for Frankl at the time which he is reflecting upon. Love, to me, doesn t necessarily mean romance, but rather it means care and devotion. In my life, this relates back to my family and friends, those I care for and who care for me. Love is such an important aspect in life because it is ultimately one s strongest connection to others in their life, and without love without people that you care about is there a meaning in life at all? Frankl s emphasis on love also gives a different way of approaching ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The speech was used to the deliver news regarding the greatest military disaster to date in Dunkirk. In his speech Churchill was able to channel into audience patriotic spirit and desire to preserve, by depicting the deeds of the brave men of British military with conviction. Through his vivid storytelling, Churchill connects with his audience immediately by providing the horrific details of them being attacked by hostile aircrafts and the hail of bombs. Churchill s heartfelt remarks about perseverance, determination and thoughtfulness heavily impacted me. I was able to generate a correlation of Churchill s speech, to the work of Martin Luther King s I have a dream speech. Both speakers were able to effectivity connect with their audience, and use repetition to instill courage and belief. Churchill and King may have come from different era s, and appealed to different audiences, but both were able to convey the same message and be an inspiration to people of the current generation and those to ... These moments can be anything, walking left may have saved you from being mugged, choosing the wrong car can get you stranded in the middle of nowhere. These little choices and events have a way of forming how we are going to live our lives. There are days that are more important than others, however, for me only one comes to mind. The day my little sister, Emily, was born is the most important day of my existence, this day altered my life for the better. When I was an only child, I never felt lonesome. I was constantly the center of attention. When I was not with my parents, I was with my Ma and Pa my grandparents I could do anything I wanted to do, because they allowed it. Although, I always had a small suspicion that I was missing out on something. My friends had younger siblings, as I observed their interactions I discovered what I was missing out on. I exhausted myself for hours trying to determine if I wanted a brother or a sister. Eventually, after thinking it over I implored my parents for a little sister. Years later, my parents told me they were frightened of my reaction if I happened to get a brother. Nonetheless, I got precisely what I wanted. Emily was born on a bright Friday morning. I was there the entire time, amusing myself with my life sized baby doll as I sat in the waiting room. I wanted to help ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There were many different weapons in World War I, whether they were completely new or just variations and improvements of previous weapons. Some of the new weapons included machine guns, mustard gas, Zeppelins, and planes, while some of the improved weapons included the bolt action rifle, the Howitzer, and pistols. The innovative new weapons that were introduced in World War Ihave forever changed the way wars were fought. The Germans were the first to use torpedoes in battle to make their U boats even more deadly. A torpedo is self propelled underwater missile launched from a tube located on the deck or inside the hull of a warship. Torpedo tubes were first built into submarines in 1885 by the Swedish armaments manufacturer, Thortsen Nordenfelt. Torpedoes in 1914 carried a contact triggered explosive warhead and had a range of 10,000 meters and could travel at 41 knots.1 However, their ideal range was about a kilometer because they tended to be inaccurate over longer distances. The Germans had definitely revolutionized naval with the introduction of their U boats. If it had not been for them, there may not have been any good offensive weapons to use at sea. The Germans had created much more powerful weapons by implementing torpedoes into their U boats. This was a very smart idea by the Germans as it allowed them to catch many enemies off guard and be much more successful at sea. It was smart of them to take a more offensive approach to naval battles instead of their usual defensive approach. Not only was a new approach taken towards naval battle, but land warfare was also highly improved. Love and marriage is the theme of the best selling book Bridget Jones Diary by Helen Fielding and the critically acclaimed novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. There are numerous similarities between the two yet they are set in different eras. Despite this, the young women in both texts have to deal with family and people in their social circles pressurising them to meet the ideal man or love interest. Each story revolves around the main female characters, Bridget Jones and Elizabeth Bennet. In both texts the men have very high expectations of the women they want to date or court, and seem to disregard women who do not reach these standards. An example of this is when Bridget overhears Mark Darcy talking about her to his mother remarking on how inappropriate her language is and how dependable she is on alcohol and cigarettes. Mother I do not need a blind date. Particularly not with some verbally incontinent spinster who drinks like a fish, smokes like a chimney and dresses like her mother. Mark doesn t want to be associated or fixed up with Bridget as she does not fit his ideal. Equally, Mr Darcy tells his friend Mr Bingley how outspoken and rude the Bennet girls are, and how he dislikes the family. He makes this known to Elizabeth by refusing to dance with her. Indeed, sir, I have not the least intention of dancing. I entreat you not to suppose that I moved this way in order to beg for a partner. Mr Darcy replied with this, when asked if he would like to dance with her. Therefore, when the church gets understanding of the people that they are going to target, it will help them to implore a strategic plan. It is critical for the church create a process to work through their purpose. When there is a process to their purpose, it will help the purpose to be carried out daily. However, the ministry shouldn t focus on growing a church with programs but focus on growing people with a process (Warren, 1995). Warren (1995), emphasized that his deep conviction that anybody can be won to Christ if you discover the key to his or her heart (p. 216). It is the act of love that will help the purpose driven church to meet the people s needs. When the ministry has the people attending the church, it is the pastor s job to teach the principles of the Bible. It is the word of God that is going to change the hearts of the people. ... It is a movement of goods that represents a foreign exchange, that is, goods cross the boundaries of the individual countries or economic unit. Foreign trade links the country s internal economy with the world economy and fulfills important functions in the process of developing the productive forces and international division of labor. Their advocacy created a national phenomenon that empowered government and policymakers to execute policies aimed at solving these problems nationwide. The government again took action to enact numerous laws, some of which became the foundation for modern environmental policyand regulations in the United States. On the national level, the first federal action to respond to public concerns about air quality was the Clean Air Act of 1955 (Longhurst and Lewis 2010, 39).The implementation of some of these newly created environmental laws began to interfere with state regulations, and as such, they often violated citizen s propertyrights. Although such policy oftentimes violates citizen rights, it allows government and policymakers to respond to the growing population and market demand. Infringement on property rights did not just take root in the environmental sector in the 1800s. It started as a result of massive construction, inadequate hazardous waste disposal systems, and overpopulation due to urbanization and economic growth in the nineteenth century. It became clear that uncontrolled pollution, including underwater pollutions, led to the spread of environmental disease, thus affecting human health and safety. The Need for Waste-to-energy on Ships The Need for Waste to energy on Ships Waste to energy power plants are lowering the amount of waste we have in landfills and turning that into energy to meet industrial needs. What if there was a way to shrink these power plants and put them onto cargo and passenger ships? According to the Palm Beach Post, the Environmental Protection Agency says, a cruise ship with 3,000 passengers can generate 210,000 of gallons of waste and sewage and 1 million gallons of grey water from showers and drains in a typical week. 1 Most of the material that lands in these waters is not biodegradable. The majority of ships will dump their waste into the ocean, while others will store it until they get back to land, only to dump the waste into landfills. There are four reasons why having small generators on ships would work: 1)The use of generators would create job opportunities; 2)The generators are environmentally safe; 3)There would be abundant source of waste to use as fuel; and 4)The generators would keep dangerous waste, like plastic, from entering the waters. The technology to produce energy from waste has already been proven to work. The company may want to ensure that tattoos are able to be covered in order to present that company s particular image. These factors need to be considered by those people with tattoos that are active in the job market. When someone is seeking employment, it is important to create a positive first impression. This impression should convince a prospective employer that his or her appearance is suitable for the company s image. The first thing the interviewer sees is the candidate s physical appearance. Unfortunately, if someone has a visible tattoo, he or she is most likely going to be viewed as trashy in the conservative, professional world (Business Legal Reports, 2005). A survey conducted by Vault (2007) reveals that 85% of respondents think tattoos impede one s chances of finding a job (Business Legal Reports, 2007). Similarly, a survey conducted by the Employment Law Alliance (2005) reveals that 39% of Americans should be able to deny employment based on tattoos (Business Legal Reports, 2005). These survey results clearly show that the negative stigma associated with tattoos can hurt a person s quest in securing future employment. Because of this negative connotation, most tattooed persons face an immediate disadvantage the moment they enter a job ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefore social action needs to occur in order to keep the program doors open and to address the issue of homelessness. Proposed Solution Critical social theory (CST) can be used as a framework to approach the issue of home lessness. CST examines relationships of power and the underlying structures in society that produce population inequities (Grahms Christ as cited in Mohammed, 2006). In the film, director Peter Nix follows patients, doctors, and staff throughout a typical day. Furthermore, the film displays how the staff is overworked, and how the American health care system is affecting millions of uninsured patients who try to cope with injury and disease. The film utilizes techniques from the observational mode such as long takes, crisis structure, and documenting unplanned everyday experiences to convey the cruel realities of Americans seeking hope and treatment. The Waiting Room incorporates the observational mode trait of long takes to illustrate the chaos that occurs in the waiting room and behind the scenes of the hospital. Moreover, the long takes in the film provide a bit of each patients background story and allows people to express their concerns instead of revealing character individuality, which can help the viewer infer why the health care system in America is failing. Another strong ethical issue was the huge confidentiality issues that involves Susan and Savannah s family. Susan reveals information about Savannah s sessions while she was still in a medically induced coma, so clearly there was not permission to do so from Savannah or from a legal stance. The Code of Ethics prohibits this kind of behavior and as a social worker is not acceptable. Fourth ethical issue I spotted was the relationship was deepened when Dr. Lowenstein asked Tom to coach her son in football. This is an indicator of a dual relationship that should be prohibited. Football is a contact sport and this created a relationship between Tom and Susan s son. The relationship escalated as Tom and the son we rolling around in the grass and became close as summer went on. This is an unreasonable distance between client and Susan s personal life. While peacekeeping has become a mainstay of the United Nations collaboration in international affairs, it is evident that peacekeeping no longer espouses the ideals it was create with. Peacekeeping has devolved into ineffective barbarisms. This is evident in the sexual abuses perpetrated by peacekeepers, the growing complexity of peacekeepingmandates, which is at times in conflict with United Nationsprinciples, and the lack of legal institutions surrounding peacekeeping, which validates a belief of impunity. However, peacekeeping is not to be totally derided as, in certain situations, it can be effective at limiting civilian deaths. Furthermore, peacekeeping can be made effective if several reforms are enacted. These include an effective legal order, an understanding of local culture, and developing strong relationships within the jurisdiction of the operation. These changes could make peacekeeping an effective method of conflict intervention. Peacekeepers have committed various sexual crimes against local populations whilst under the purview of the United Nations, yet few of these peacekeepers have ever been prosecuted for their crimes. The international community became aware of the damaging deficiencies of peacekeeping during the decade leading up to the twenty first century (Wills 2013, 49; Odello and Burke 2016, 839). • 42. Prevention of Criminal Activity in the Society What is the importance of effective communication in coaching? Communication is the cornerstone of coaching; and effective communication is the primary prerequisite of effective coaching. Even if the coach and person being coached speak completely different languages, the coaching relationship can be built on nonverbal communication. Communication engenders trust, and allows the coach to transmit knowledge, ideas, and emotions to the mentee. As Burton Raedeke (n.d.) point out, As a coach, you can say a lot without uttering a word: A frown, a look of disbelief, a disgusted shake of your head, or a smile can communicate quite a bit. Some coaches might not know how much of an impact their nonverbal communication styles make on those they are trying to help. Therefore, mastery of nonverbal and verbal communication skills becomes the most critical component of an effective, successful coaching relationship. There are no rights and wrongs to effective communication in a coaching context. This is because every coach, and every individual being coached, has his or her own style of communication ( Coaching Communication Style: Verbal, n.d.). Likewise, each individual being coached will also have a specific communication style. No two coaches, and no two coaching relationships, will express themselves in the same way. World War II had just begun with the majority of the main countries in our world participating in the war that would ultimately kill millions of soldiers and civilians. Two years later, on December 8th, 1941 after the Japanese surprisingly attacked Pearl Harbor, the United States entered the war fully.
