Telegraph operators to intercept and decipher German wireless traffic. Despite their
success, this capability was not maintained. In 1939, with the German invasion of
Poland, the Canadian Army quickly stood up a number of Special Wireless Units, to

be taken when building to avoid hazards of mass wasting and erosion. However,
due to the nature of the preserve it is highly unlikely that any type of large
structure or septic system would be permitted. Noise pollution in this area is very
mild with only the occasional truck being heard on the 101 highway to the west.
Unfortunately, a new fire station is to be built within .6 miles and some local fauna
may become disturbed by the wail of sirens. Be advised that a sound barrier should
be constructed around the fire station in order to minimize disturbance of wildlife.
One important note is that it was recommended in a biotic assessment that, one of

Moreover, regardless of their own inner problems with identity, there would be
negative effects from outside. The first social group that children meet is family;
parents role is specially important and has the biggest impact in their lives. Multiracial
parents are different races from the child. Between parents, a multiracial child might
try to choose one identity. One parent might try to pull child in one direction while
the other parent tries to pull the child in a different direction. At times, if one parent
is not chosen, he/she gives the child negative feedback to their child. This can cause
lack of supporting that the children should get from parents, and it may influence
children s emotional stability. Even though at times parents and child agree on the
child s identity, society does not accept their decision. In both cases, children might
lay blame on their parents, and it brings resentment in a family. ( Interracial
Marriages ) The other problem that the children may face in the family is conflict
with relatives or siblings (Rosenblatt, Karis, and Powell). Most times, grandparents
are close to the multiracial child. However, sometimes because of their traditional
views, grandparents might be afraid of being associated with children of another

Slave Societies in this chapter mean people with similar characteristics who lived
together in a well or less organized community. Slave societies in eighteenth century
were common in North America in New England, the Mid Atlantic and the Lower
Mississippi Valley. The black slaveryexperience was not unique, that is not the
same in these areas, was influenced by local conditions, nation of the colonizers,
composition of men and women, statistical characteristics of a population, such as
age and income, places where black people came from, nature of the slave market
in the Atlantic World or methods of production of economic activities. The
majority of slaves who came from Africa were more males than females and they
all originated from different groups of people with a common cultural background.
The second point to note during this era was an increasing number of slaves born
in America and the presence of people who were not only multi racial but had
diverse religious beliefs. Many Africans were changed and became African
Americans, it was a transformation of different forms of African and European
cultural belief or practice, it varied from place to place, by time and freedom
approaches. With time and experience Africans were forced to change their way of
life to escape slave bondage.
