from drinking seawater. On the eighteenth day Dudley and Stephens approached Brooks with the idea
that they should sacrifice one person to save the rest. Brooks dissented, and they did not consult
Parker as he was ill. On July 24th Dudley and Stephens reasoned with Brooks, saying that since they
had families to take care of it was most logical to kill the boy and save themselves. They proposed that

was divided amongst those who could accept change and those who wouldn t.
Before the war America was seen as an imperial power. America had continuously expanded beyond
its borders, which led to the open door policy, Hawaii annexed, and the acquiring of the Philippines
and Puerto Rico. The open door policy allowed free flow of trade,investment, information and culture.
America did it s best to create a welcoming economic environment with caribbean countries, so that
american companies could have stable access to raw material. There was a huge global movement of

My hospital is receiving a lot of negative feedback from patient surveys. The reason for this (I think)
is because we are unable to maintain an adequate number of qualified nursing assistants (NA) in the
medical surgical unit. NAs provide much of the ?hands on? care to patients and are a major asset to
nurses. Without NAs, nurses would not be able to provide adequate, quality care to patients.
Unfortunately, they are taken for granted at my hospital and given an unrealistic patient load.
Therefore, there is a lack of NAs and a high turnover rate.
