The Good Ghanaian Society
The Good Ghanaian Society While the end of that search [of the Good Society] remains elusive, I am
convinced that the search itself isn t illusive. James O toole What constitutes a good society to each
and every individual within that society would be a different answer. This is because we speak
different tongues, desire different ends, and have different basic assumptions about where the
Ghanaian society, and the corporations we work in, should be heading. Despite this kaleidoscope of
opinions, fortunately there is a unifying point of agreement: the task of every legitimate government is
to secure a good society for its citizens. Nearly every political and economic philosopher from the
time of Aristotle to Max Weber has agreed that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So what pillars separate Nkrumah from Wiredu and Wiredu from John Kufour? These as noted earlier
are Equality, Efficiency, Community and Liberty. (O Toole, the Executive Compass , 1993). In this
essay, each of the poles will be analyzed in depth and the main proponents considered and how each
of these poles have developed over time, history and space. After explaining what each pole consists
of, each of these are going to be used to show how the tensions are inherent in the Ghanaian society
and how the author, hope to contribute to the Good Ghanaian Society. LIBERTY Freedom and liberty
have embodied most political philosopher s ideals of a Good Society. The roots of liberty can be
traced from the beginning of civilization and has evolved to form what is today enshrined in the
ideology of Libertarianism. This ideology encompasses principles that pertain to both political and
economic liberty. The fundamental Libertarian principle recognizes equal rights to freedom which is
representative of the essence of human liberty. The genesis of liberty can be traced from Aristotle who
believed in rulership by the small class of freemen and equals. Plato on the other hand was no lover of
liberty in the fullest sense of the word. To him the good society was one led by

Significance of Section 3 and 4 of the Human Rights Act 1998
The power to strike down Acts of Parliament is defined as the power to declare legislation invalid
because it is unconstitutional. This paper will critically assess sections 3 and 4 of the HRA 1998 by
defining them, reviewing case law surrounding their use, and by evaluating the powers that they give
to the judiciary. By doing so, it will demonstrate that section 3 gives judges powers that are not
significantly different from the power to strike down Acts of Parliament, whereas section 4 does not.
Definitions
Section 3 of the Human Rights Act (HRA) 1998 provides that primary and subordinate legislation
must be read and given effect in a way which is compatible with Convention rights . This provides
judges the power to interpret and amend legislation so far as it is possible so that it is in accordance
with Convention rights. There is no need for ambiguity in wording of the act to use section 3 and it
does not affect the validity of the Act notwithstanding the Act being incompatible with Convention
rights. There are limits on judges ability to use section 3 which restrict cases in which it can be used.
First, section 3 cannot go against the grain of the fundamental purpose of the legislation in question.
Second, judges can only go so far as possible when interpreting legislation. The means that judges are
restrained by the plain words of the provision and cannot stray from it s meaning so far as to
completely amend it.
Next, section 4 of the HRA 1998 provides that

Sylvia Plath Metaphors
Metaphors by Sylvia Plath was written in 1959. It is a lyric poem that uses metaphors to create a
riddle, as she states in line one. Plath is using a narrator voice in her poetry to describe her pregnancy
with the use of metaphors and her ambivalence to her current state. The narrator is mocking herself
and I find her mocking tone to pregnancy as something I want to incorporate in my writing when
writing about my character s eating disorder.
The poem starts with the narrator announcing herself as a riddle in nine syllables. The nine syllables is
the first hint that the poem is going to be about pregnancy. Plath correlated the use of the word nine to
the length of a pregnancy, giving the reader an inkling of what is to be expected of the poem. The
narrator then goes on to describe herself as an elephant, then a house, two very distinctively large
objects. She is now mocking the weight gain caused by pregnancy and she furthers this by comparing
herself to a melon, strolling on two tendrils. These lines give the reader a vivid imagery of someone
that has become stout and is struggling to do normal tasks such as walk. ... Show more content on

In the poem she uses vivid imagery to convey the feelings of emotional suicide. The poem begins with
an answer to the question why do you want to die? she answers this question by starting the poem with
since you ask and takes the reader through a journey where the final destination is committing suicide.
In her poetry, she does not use the voice of the narrator like the way Plath does, instead it is more of a
conversational piece. Her poetry is confessional and written in her point of view, whereas with Plath s
poems I ve mentioned before, there is a disconnect where the reader reads it in the voice of the
narrator, instead of Plath s voice. In the poem, she notes that her body is a physical bad prison that
should be emptied completely in order to finally be

Culture And Media Bias
Media shapes the society we live in today and has grown and evolved to become a way of controlling
culture and people. Media has a variety of meanings, the most common being; channels of
communication which can range from interpersonal media such as letters, texting, telephone and
skype to mass media which uses TV, radio, newspapers and the internet to convey information.
The vessel in which information is being communicated is very important, as it has a heavy influence
on the way a society and its culture is formed. Harold Innis, a political economist, wrote about the bias
of communication and monopolies of power and divided media bias into 2 categories; time biased
media and space biased media. He compares time biased media to the Egyptian rule and space bias to
the Roman Empire. The idea being that, changes in communication rapidly advance society, and you
must find the correct balance between time and space biased communication to achieve a stable
society.
In Egyptian times, stone and speech were used as methods of communication for laws, tradition,
stories and myths which last generations and are not easily corruptible. Societies with time bias tended

The priority of news outlets is to keep an audience which is its most vital commodity. This involves
making the news appealing and entertaining which should cater to the guilty pleasures and prejudices
of the audience, such as: fear, moral self satisfaction and feel good stories. Furthermore, news
channels need to sensor themselves to avoid legal action being taken against them, so tread softly
when it comes to sensitive matters and embellish stories. This clearly displays media as bias as they

Purpose Of Tragedy In Romeo And Juliet
Purpose and Tragedy Involving Romeo and Juliet Many of Shakespeare s tragedies illustrate that they
have an unhappy ending, but that isn t true in every case such as this one. In The Tragedy of Romeo
and Juliet , Shakespeare is showing that happiness can be found between two young lovers, even in
the midst of civil strife. When Shakespeare wrote this play, it was the Elizabethan Age. During this
time, daughters were their fathers property and were sold to men of any age, for livestock in return.
Women had less power and say than men, and the father of the house was always in charge. Romeo
had a little more freedom than Juliet per se. Juliet, for example, was the princess locked up in the vine
covered tower with a wealthy family to keep her there. Romeo had more freedom and was in a family
with not as much money as Juliet s. There was also a social class where the Duke and Duchess held
the most power and the peasants had the least power. Juliet s family ... Show more content on

One of those instances is at the end of the play when Juliet uttered, ...drunk all, and left no friendly
drop to help me after? I will kiss thy lips; haply some poison yet doth hang on them, to make die with
a restorative. . By uttering this, it shows how she was wanting so badly to be with Romeo that she
would take her life to do so. If she didn t find happiness from their relationship and him she would
never have done what she did, or things would have at least ended differently. The most tragic part
about Romeo and Juliet is that their death and that they end through death. Their impulsive decision
making, and anger towards their families guided their actions. Today, everyone is able in a way to
relate to Romeo and Juliet at some point, by going through the process of being in love . Love is able
to make your decision making impaired, since what you do is to please the love you have and share

The Masters Of Business Administration
The Masters of Business Administration, MBA, is well established and recognized globally by both
private and public companies. Many high profiled individuals in leadership position have achieved
their status and success by earning an MBA. However, there are several individuals who are also
highly successful and have achieved their status without an MBA. As a current student pursuing an
MBA at Dallas Baptist University, I seek to explore what the real benefits of pursuing higher
education are. How can earning an MBA enable an individual to be a better leader? (source?) A recent
study conducted by Stanford University revealed that students who recently completed their MBA
program faced several challenges at work. They shared that they had difficulties managing
subordinates, relationships with both peers and bosses, and managing their own responsibilities as
leaders. Many of the alumni commented that the MBA program provided them with valuable
information in the form of case studies, theories, and group projects, but they also felt that the
program did not specifically train them for specific challenges that a manager would face on a day to
day basis. The knowledge gained from the MBA program lacked practical application. (Becoming a
Leader: Early career challenges faced by MBA graduates: AGAINST) Another study conducted in
Japan discovered that individuals who are currently pursuing or have completed the MBA program

The One-And-Done Rule
The first reason why the one and done rule should be eliminated is because players who leave after
one year of college do not have a secure future without a college degree. A college degree is a very
important part of having a successful career, and although an NBA player already has a job, the
average NBA career only lasts only 4.8 years ( Athlete ). Due to the fact that an NBA career is usually
short, it is important to finish college and have a degree in case a player s career is unexpectedly
ended because of injury. An example of a player who left college after one year was Greg Oden. Oden
attended Ohio State University for one year before declaring for the 2007 NBA draft. Oden was
selected with the first overall pick, but his career has not turned out like many expected it to due to
injury. His career is now at the lowest point it has ever been, and he is now at risk of his career being
over without having earned a degree (Wallace). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the main concerns with a young player is their ability to handle money. Players who come out
of college are given huge paychecks as soon as they are drafted, and this is a big change from college
where players are not paid an annual salary. It is very important that young NBA players are
responsible with their money so it will last after their career is over. During his rookie season, former
one and done player Julius Randle bought a $78,000 Porshe Panamera, which came out of Randle s
rookie salary (Hansford). This purchase showed that Randle might not be mature enough to handle his
salary, and that he needs better spending habits if he wants to be financially secure. Young players not
being able to handle the money given to them is a sign of immaturity that supports that the one and
done rule is not helpful to players

Modern Day Red District Chicago
There are many challenges one can face when writing and directing a movie, this task becomes
significantly harder when the film is going to be an adaptation. One major challenge that is faced
when adapting an ancient play into modern times is to achieve the perfect amount of intertextuality.
Spike Lee was able to put into Chi Raq the perfect amount of modern day application by setting the
movie in modern day red district Chicago. He also is able to add the correct amount of the original
Lysistrata by using it as the main character s name as well as having the entire movie in verse. Another
aspect that is challenging to make in an adaptation is to choose the correct issue to try and inform the
public on. Spike Lee could have chosen the amount of fighting that happens in an actual declared war
zone, but he chose to have the movie be set in modern day Chicago with a pertinence to educate
people on what happens in their country. Even though intertextuality is a large difficulty that is faced
when adapting a film there is also the reception of audience to take into thought. The topic that Chi
Raq depicts is a very sensitive subject. That is that there are many ways that this movie could have
come off as more offensive. It could be offensive to the people of Chicago because the movie is
depicting their city to be as bad as a war zone. As well as an insult to the members of the military
thinking that the movie is making a joke about the war in Iraq. Another challenge that the

Example Of Complication In Antigone
Antigone Life has a way of becoming complicated. Problems between friends, foes, and even family
members develop everyday for people of all walks of life. It is part of human nature to disagree, cause
conflict and fight for what we believe in even if that means stepping on someone else s toes along the
way. Aristotle had thoughts on complication dating back to 335 B.C when he wrote Poetics the earliest
surviving work of dramatic theory. In it he analyzed tragedies and theorized that every tragedy falls
into two parts complication and unraveling or denouncement. Sophocles stated, By complication I
mean all that extends from the beginning of the action to the part which marks the turning point to
good or bad fortune. The Unraveling is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His son Creon calls him out on his poor judgment when he yells, You have not respect at all if you
trample on the rights of the gods (161). Creon believes his laws are the correct way of ruling, which
ultimately leads to his downfall. If he had taken a moment to be more open minded he may have
realized that he could not triumph over the gods and that eventually this complication would unravel
for the worse. Antigone s complications begin to unravel as she becomes more open minded towards
the end of the play. Although she never states that she was in the wrong for going against the king s
wishes, she does begin to show remorse as her death is fast approaching. The fear of her impending
death is what made her realize that there is a chance that she could have been in the wrong for burying
Polyneices. As she is about to be locked in her stone tomb she cries, Very well: if this is the pleasure
of the gods, once I suffer I will know that I was wrong (164). This is the first time we see Antigone
waver from her strong headed ideals and intense loyalty that led her to going against the king s decree.
We see her situation continue to unravel as she loses composure and begins feeling sorry for herself
when she states, Now he has taken me by force, he is driving me down unmarried. I ve had no man, no
wedding celebration, shared nothing with a husband, never raised a child (164). This is a side of
Antigone that has not

it the same way with minnows. There are many other techniques but these are the most common ones.
Other techniques to choose from are the use of crank bait, jigging, suspended trolling, windblown

works the best. It also depends on the time of year, weather, and moods of the fish. The seasons of the
year determines the Walleye mood. Early spring the walleye are really active and hungry. Most anglers
use minnows as bait during the spring of the year on the lake. The walleye tend to be found in

Oozes And Aahs Summary
The article, Oozes and aahs: Slugs gooey substance may provide alternative to surgery, begins by

believe that sometime in the near future, this glue could possibly hold together a beating, bleeding

Physical Therapy- PT
Physical Therapist, also known as PTs help people manage their pain and improve mobility after
injury or illness (Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014). They also rehabilitate and treat patients
with injuries and chronic conditions (Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014). In addition to treatment
and diagnosis many also develop wellness and fitness programs to encourage better lifestyle habits
(Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014). Physical Therapist can also choose to specialize in
specialties orthopedics (Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014). As a Physical Therapist one would
have many duties and responsibilities to complete throughout the day and their career. Once a one is
referred a new patient they typically review the previous doctors notes and the patients history
(Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014). Then by observing the patients movements and listening to
their apprehensions they will diagnose the patients malfunctional movements (Occupational Outlook
Handbook, 2014). With this information Physical Therapists begin to develop a care plan for the
patient that outlines goals and expected outcomes (Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014). While
implementing the plan they use different techniques and exercises to help patients cope with pain
reduce the risk of further injury and rehabilitate (Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014). As
treatment progresses they evaluate the patients progress and adapt the program if needed

Persuasive Essay On Family Vacations
Do you need to plan a family vacation, but are uncertain where to start? Family vacations provide an
excellent chance to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. The key is to choose the right type
of vacation for your particular needs. Here are some ideas to make your family getaways as special as
possible: 1. Beaches. While the expression life s a beach doesn t always apply, it certainly can if you
choose a trip to the beach as your family vacation. The beach provides plenty of activities to keep your
family busy for a week. The sand and surf seem to create a magical blend that can relax our minds and
bodies. On the beach or in the water you can swim, surf, fish, build a sandcastle, fly a kite, or collect
shells as you take a stroll. Besides spending time at the beach itself, there s also usually a wide array
of fun activities nearby the beach. That includes mini golf, go carting, golf and tennis, and so on. 2.
Camping. This is an oldie but goodie vacation that can provide a barrel of fun for you and your family.
Besides the camping itself, these trips can also include activities such as fishing, hiking and horseback
riding. You and your family can enjoy camping trips at various locations, including mountains and
beaches. While camping can provide an outstanding chance for your children to have fun and learn,
the outdoors can create several potential dangers. So it s crucial for your son or daughter to be aware
of these dangers, before you go on your vacation. 3.

The Doll House by Henrik Ibsen
THE DOLL HOUSE The Society above Individual Freedom or The Suppression of the Woman The
author Henrik Ibsen used the play to elaborate on the irony of the 19th century culture of restriction of
individual freedom and excessive adherence to societal norm at all cost without paying attention or
having recourse to the core values and norms that brings about individual happiness and freedom.
Torvald Helmer tried to elucidate the abnormality of seeking individual freedom instead of societal
norm when he inquired from his wife; Nora ...And you don t consider what people will say . The
society in Ibsen s A Doll House is seen higher than the individual person, for one to fit in he or she
must strictly adhere to what the society demands and not what the individual wants. Nora was quick to
express her frustration on the demands of the society when she replied Dr. Rank thus What do I care

Father, Dr Rank could not hide his feeling upon the sight of Macaroons at Torvalds house when he
inquired from Nora What, macaroons? I thought they were forbidden here , Nora who is also held by
the claws of societal conformity had to lie to justify the possession of macaroons. The irony was
played out when the same Dr. Rank enjoyed the macaroons after Nora placed it in his mouth. Ibsen s
setting of the play also portrays a society where a woman cannot be seen to go against not only the

The Scientific Field Of Psychology
The minds of men have never been a terribly cogent or consistent place, rather one that primarily
oscillates between sense and nonsense (Jung). This, of course, begs the question as to why are we, as
human beings, are the way we are; what makes us tick? Most people have probably asked this
question at one point or another, there are those of us today who have dedicated their entire lives to
answering this question. Humanity s answer to this conundrum is the scientific field of Psychology,
the study of the human mind and its functions. Psychology can be traced back to as far as 428 B.C.
stemming from the Ancient Greeks (Plato), but at this time it was more philosophic thought than a
field of science; it did not become a legitimate scientific field until the early 1800s. Before the 1800s,
even after its founding to an extent, it was not fully accepted to be science; other scholars thought the
study of the human mind and its mechanisms to be too abstract a field to be considered anything but
philosophy. As biology developed and neurology emerged psychology gained the support it needed to
given credence by other scholars and fields of science. Moving farther ahead in the history of
psychology, what we would today largely recognize as practices contemporary did not come about
until even later point on the psychology timeline. Furthermore, contemporary psychology is
dramatically different from modern day psychology, this is a science that has grown and evolved
dramatically even

Differences Between Cadbury And Woburn Safari Park Ltd
Activity 1
Action Plan
What I want to achieve when I do my coursework is that I understand the differences and similarities
between the two businesses. I am going to do this is by using my own knowledge and the internet and
on various occasions my classroom notes. This should take me a while to complete as I would be
going in depth about information and expanding on key points. I will be including different ideas that
I have discovered.
The businesses I have chosen to discuss are Cadbury Plc and Woburn Safari Park ltd. I have chosen
these two businesses as they are different in both what they offer and who they target. Cadbury is
international and Woburn Safari Park is local to where I live.
Introduction
The purpose or this assessment is for me to compare and contrast the following two, Woburn Safari
Park and Cadburys plc. Now to start off with I will be providing useful information on both Cadburys
and Woburn; defining the definition of a business. A business is an organization where goods and
services are exchanged for one another or for money. Cadburys plc is a multinational company which
produces products such as chocolates, drinks and milkshakes. On the other hand, Woburn Safari Park
entertains tourists and pedestrians with their variety of different animals you can interact with and

young U.S. FBI trainee, seeks the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecter to apprehend another
serial killer, known as Buffalo Bill . When she uses Dr. Lecter s help to capture Buffalo Bill, he
somehow escapes out of the prison he is in. But in the end, they are able to capture Buffalo Bill, but
Dr. Lecter was never found. He did, however, call Clarice and told her not to search for him, and he
would not search to kill her. Much of the film and book are exactly the same with only small
differences, which set them apart. In 1992, it won an Academy Award for Best Writing Adapted
Screenplay, which really shows how much effort Jonathan Demme, the director put into this film to
keep the same plot. The small differences throughout, really sway the reader or viewer to make a
decision on which one really captured the storyline better. In the film, the backstory of Jack Crawford
is not really shown. In the book, however, the reader can really tell how much effort and sacrifice he
made for the job he has. Because of all of Crawford s effort, it really built Clarice s character. Clarice
in the story is seen as a second chance for Crawford because of his mistakes he made with Will
Graham. Both stories really mirror each other and fit into each other. In the film, however, it is hard to
fit so much tiny detail into a two hour film, so the movie wasn t able to show the small details about
Clarice. The book nevertheless, was able to shape Clarice as an individual. But, during the film Jodi
Foster, the actor who played Clarice Starling in the film, was really able to embrace her character and
brought as much detail as she could. Another small detail about Dr. Lecter is in the book, he is
described as having red eyes and six fingers on one hand, but in the film, he has blue eyes and both
hands only have 5 fingers. In a crucial scene, in the novel, it sways the guard s attention from his other
hand, in which he holds a makeshift key to his handcuffs. This allows him to escape from his cage.
This was done in the book, to make him seem creeper, but Anthony Hopkins, the actor who played Dr.
Lecter, really understood the

Rap Music And Hip Hop
Gangsta rap has been around since the late 1980s, and has been categorized as a specific type of hip
hop. Reflecting the violent lifestyles of many black American youths living within the inner cities of
the West and East coast, gangsta rap became a voice. The genre reflected on and spoke about the harsh
realities of what life for a black person during the 1980s. One of the most prominent rap names during
this era that became the voice for many people throughout the nation was the N.W.A (Niggaz Wit
Attitude) rap group. Originally from the streets of Compton, California, these teenagers decided to
take on a risk, tackling the music industry head on, publishing their own works that spoke out against
corruption. The creation of hip hop s sub genre, gangsta rap during the late 1980s not only sparked
widespread controversy, but also gave black communities a prominent identity within their hip hop
movement of the arts; it offered the nation an understanding of the black struggle through lyrics and
went against established culture.
Hip Hop is the only genre of music that allows us to talk about almost anything. (Flash. Foreword)
Dating back to the late 1970s, hip hop originated within predominantly African American
neighborhoods. The youth, who resided in communities throughout the South Bronx, sparked a
movement and developed a culture within this genre that has had a lasting effect for decades. What
made this genre an aspect of everyday life for these New York

Level 3 Torque Converter
During the 4 month semester for Level 3 Drivetrains we reviewed in detail the operations for Torque
converters, Planetary gears, Inputs and Outputs for Allison World Transmissions, and Power flow for
Allison 1000/2000 series transmissions. In this essay, I will be revising and explaining how these
systems work and what operations they serve. Torque converters act as the main torque multiplier in
any automatic transmission, starting from the engine, going through the torque converter, then into the
transmission. There are three main parts to the torque converter. The impeller, which is driven by the
engine crank shaft or the flywheel. The stator, which is a freewheeling rotating member that also
includes a one way clutch. The turbine is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These three paths all start from the rotating clutch module attached to the input shaft. There are five
rotating clutches known as C 1, C 2, C 3, C 4, and C 5. There are also three planetary gear sets known
as P 1, P 2, and P 3. All power flows have a few requirements. They must have an input through either
C 1 or C 2, and they have to output through the P 3 carrier because it is splined directly to the output
shaft of the transmission. The way these gears are put together forms the world transmission. The P 1
sun gear is directly bolted to the driving member attached to a rotating clutch. The P 1 carrier is
splined to the P 2 ring gear, also being controlled by the C 4 clutch. C 3 is splined to the P 1 ring gear.
The P 1 gear set is driven through an input from the P 1 sun gear. P 2 ring gear is attached directly to
the P 1 carrier and the C 4 rotating clutch. P 2 sun gear rides on main shaft through a set of splines, as
well as being in contact with the C 5 clutch. P 2 can be inputted through 2 means, the C 2 clutch
driving the P 2 carrier or through the sun gear on the main shaft. The P 3 ring gear is splined to the p2
carrier. C 5 clutch and the P 3 ring gear is meshed together and the P 3 sun gear is again, splined to the
main shaft. In order for the Alison transmission to function, there needs to be a series of clutches being
applied to achieve the selected or desired gear to

The case asks for evaluation of different financing options. Gilad Harpaz is Purinex s CFO and he

short term cash for operations. Purinex is a biotechnological company that has 35 patents pending in

The company planned to take its new receptor selected drugs into clinical trials to address a broad
range of potential indications. In June 2004, the company with several clinically and commercially
promising drugs in development had reached a turning point. Sometime in the next four to twelve
months, the company stood an excellent chance of establishing a partnership with a major
pharmaceutical company. That partnership would enable Purinex to develop one of its leading
compounds into a drug for the treatment of the world s deadliest and most widespread diseases.
Gilad Harpaz, Purinex s chief financial officer believed that if a partnership deal came through, the
company would be in an excellent position to carry out its mission. Moreover, securing a deal was
practically a prerequisite for any eventual initial public offering, which was an attractive exit strategy
for many of the company s investors. Harpaz also believed that the company could either attempt to
secure financing now or wait until it struck a partnership deal. He has three options to consider for the
company which he...

The Importance Of Small Business
Business in a Changing World provides an excellent overall introduction into the world of business.
While studying this textbook, five areas stood out to me as being particularly important and essential
in creating and maintaining a small business. These areas include the following: small business
advantages, using digital media for marketing and advertising, identifying products, abusive and
intimidating behavior and the importance of good communication and organizational skills. The
section on advantages of small business ownerships lists several reasons why an individual might
pursue a small business instead of working for a corporation. For example, some individuals prefer
being their own boss and enjoy crafting their own schedule taking into consideration their own unique
family and lifestyle. Furthermore, the availability of affordable technology and internet access makes
it possible to do certain types of work at home or on a small scale that in the past would have required
the financial support and resources of a much larger business. Additionally, the list of 10 Successful
Traits of Young Entrepreneurs helped me better evaluate my potential to start and maintain a small
business. Digital media is an extremely important aspect of today s current business climate.
Throughout the textbook digital media is referenced as a tool for small and large businesses due to the
flexible nature of the internet and the way in which recreational forms of media can also be used

Penile Enlargement Tension
Many guys who are below sized would choose a thicker longer more penetrating penis and while there
are many approaches in which to head about this activity, penile enlargement lotions should not the
chosen and most potential choices. Why is this? Why can t anyone wipe on some cream and magically
have a 9 inch penis emerge the subsequent morning and be as thick as a can of beans? Other than the
commonplace factors why this has no longer a snowball s hazard in hell of working, the more
definitive and least recognized factors can be mentioned proper now.
Wild West had Some Cream growth Salesman?
Penis lotions have been round for the reason that the early 20 s and 30 s and potentially even longer.

The Meaning Of Liturgy In Here Be The Dragons By Michael...
The meaning of liturgy may not be debatable but how that definition functions becomes contestable as
it is performed in different settings. Thus, when interpreting a liturgical theology, it would figure, that
the same notion would apply. Joyce Zimmerman writes, ...Who interprets liturgy? Is the realization
that the practice of liturgy involves a number of competencies at a number of levels. Liturgy by its
nature is not static there by constitutes a multileveled evaluation and approach when interpreting.
There are no set parameters or guidelines that designate the functional aspects of the liturgy. Liturgy
has the potential to take on any form it desires in order to accomplish the objective of moving people
to discourse. Liturgy has this Michael Jackson appeal. It has the ability to conform to certain
parameters when needed but always functioning within itself to meet its on transcendent perspective.
Like Michael Jackson, liturgy can masks itself in a litany of otherness in order to make itself more
appealing to others in order to further the discourse. James Baldwin highlights Michael s chameleon
like abilities in Here be the Dragons,
The Michael Jackson cacophony is fascinating in that it is not about Jackson at all. I hope he has the
good sense to know it and the good fortune to snatch his life out of the jaws of a carnivorous success.
He will not swiftly be forgiven for having turned so many tables, for he damn sure grabbed the brass
ring, and the man who broke the

A Project On Using New Technology
Introduction:
There is a manufacturing company of medium sized which is working on increasing the prototype
capability for its firm. The controversy is going in the selection process of the project among the two
proposed project to achieve the goal of the company. The first proposed project was based on the
traditional prototype used by the company. The project is tested and resulted with the low risk factor in
the priority for increasing the capability of the prototype for the firm. The project follows all the ethics
of the company and is based on according to the company s culture and structure. Therefore no
training program is required for the staff. The second project introduces new technique of 3D printing
to enhance the prototype with high speed. It minimizes the cost of the project. The requirement of this
project is a greater capital input. As the system is using new technology, therefore the training
program is required for the employees. The risk factor rises up with the introduction of new
prototyping system. If the new system is get successful then it will result with maximizing the profit
for the firm. As the consultant I will go through projects by exploring their assumptions, advantages
and disadvantages and then I will recommend the best project for the firm.

Smoking in Public Buildings Should Be Banned
Smoking in Public Buildings Should be Banned Is it true that secondhand smoke can have almost the
same health effects as smoking a cigarette? Is it true that some countries have banned smoking in
public buildings already? Is it easy to guess how those bans turned out? The countries that banned
smoking in public buildings are experiencing fewer health problems in their citizens and have had no
negative economic effects due to the ban. Even though everyone should be able to do what they want,
where they want if it is not hurting anyone, smoking should be banned in public buildings because it
causes health and environmental problems. Smoking causes health problems for everyone around the
world, not just people near smokers. Most people know that smoking can cause countless health
problems; a group of scientists conducted a study showing the effects of secondhand smoke in
nonsmokers. The scientists knew in 2004 that, on a worldwide scale, the health concerns created by
exposure to tobacco smoke for nonsmokers were not well known. They tested people and found the
effects from worldwide exposure in children and adults, and these statistics have probably risen in the
past ten years (Öberg, Jaakkola, Woodward, Peruga, Prüss Ustün). They found that Worldwide, 40%
of children, 33% of male non smokers, and 35% of female non smokers were exposed to second hand
smoke in 2004. This exposure was estimated to have caused 379,000 deaths from ischaemic heart
disease, also known as

Analysis Of Ayn Rand s The Fountainhead
Blake Stawar
Ms. Haskins
Honors American Literature
27 October 2017
Objectivism in The Fountainhead Not many authors create philosophies to include in their novels, but
Ayn Rand did. Ayn Rand used her philosophy in the main characters and influenced American society
during the Cold War with her novel The Fountainhead. Through the actions of the protagonist Howard
Roark, Ayn Rand demonstrates her philosophy of objectivism and her belief in individualism which
reflect her opposition towards communism. Ayn Rand was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1905
under the name Alissa Rosenbaum ( Ayn ). Around the time of Rand s childhood, Communism had
taken over in Russia. During the Russian Revolution, Rand and her family lost many of their ... Show

In the bitter civil conflict, millions died; the destruction was extraordinary, and the reconstruction
therefore had to be slow and painful. Famine ravaged the land ( Soviet 2395). It may have been these
post war conditions that fueled Ayn Rand s opposition towards Communism. The Bolsheviks took it
for granted that they were acting in the interest of the people even if the people did not understand
their own interests. The repression of ideas and opponents started at the very moment of the creation
of the regime ( Soviet 2395). The Bolsheviks suspended all trade once they took over ( Soviet 2396).
In the late 1920 s, Joseph Stalin forced peasants to join collective farms ( Soviet 2396).
The Fountainhead greatly influenced American beliefs during the time in which it was written. The
Fountainhead was published just before the start of the Cold War. The Fountainhead uses a promotion
of individualism and a rejection of collectivism to show Rand s opposition towards Communism.
When people in the United States read the book, it fueled, in part, Americans opposition towards
Communism. Some people believe that Rand s pro capitalist views in her writing may have helped
influence the collapse of the Berlin Wall ( Ayn ).
Rand used her philosophy of objectivism in her writing and in The Fountainhead. Objectivism stresses
the importance of individuality and rejects collectivism ( Objectivism 7). According to this
philosophy, humans have free will and

Athens, Georgia is a large city with a diverse population. Moving to such a large city can be a culture
shock for many people, including myself. However, there are certain places in the city that can make
Athens feel more like home. One of the hardest parts about moving to a new city is finding good
restaurants to eat at. There are so many restaurants in Athens that it can feel a little overwhelming.
One location that stands out from the rest is the restaurant Clocked. Clocked is a small diner located in
downtown Athens that offers delicious burgers and milkshakes. Though the city of Athens can be

  • 2. The Good Ghanaian Society The Good Ghanaian Society While the end of that search [of the Good Society] remains elusive, I am convinced that the search itself isn t illusive. James O toole What constitutes a good society to each and every individual within that society would be a different answer. This is because we speak different tongues, desire different ends, and have different basic assumptions about where the Ghanaian society, and the corporations we work in, should be heading. Despite this kaleidoscope of opinions, fortunately there is a unifying point of agreement: the task of every legitimate government is to secure a good society for its citizens. Nearly every political and economic philosopher from the time of Aristotle to Max Weber has agreed that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So what pillars separate Nkrumah from Wiredu and Wiredu from John Kufour? These as noted earlier are Equality, Efficiency, Community and Liberty. (O Toole, the Executive Compass , 1993). In this essay, each of the poles will be analyzed in depth and the main proponents considered and how each of these poles have developed over time, history and space. After explaining what each pole consists of, each of these are going to be used to show how the tensions are inherent in the Ghanaian society and how the author, hope to contribute to the Good Ghanaian Society. LIBERTY Freedom and liberty have embodied most political philosopher s ideals of a Good Society. The roots of liberty can be traced from the beginning of civilization and has evolved to form what is today enshrined in the ideology of Libertarianism. This ideology encompasses principles that pertain to both political and economic liberty. The fundamental Libertarian principle recognizes equal rights to freedom which is representative of the essence of human liberty. The genesis of liberty can be traced from Aristotle who believed in rulership by the small class of freemen and equals. Plato on the other hand was no lover of liberty in the fullest sense of the word. To him the good society was one led by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Significance of Section 3 and 4 of the Human Rights Act 1998 The power to strike down Acts of Parliament is defined as the power to declare legislation invalid because it is unconstitutional. This paper will critically assess sections 3 and 4 of the HRA 1998 by defining them, reviewing case law surrounding their use, and by evaluating the powers that they give to the judiciary. By doing so, it will demonstrate that section 3 gives judges powers that are not significantly different from the power to strike down Acts of Parliament, whereas section 4 does not. Definitions Section 3 of the Human Rights Act (HRA) 1998 provides that primary and subordinate legislation must be read and given effect in a way which is compatible with Convention rights . This provides judges the power to interpret and amend legislation so far as it is possible so that it is in accordance with Convention rights. There is no need for ambiguity in wording of the act to use section 3 and it does not affect the validity of the Act notwithstanding the Act being incompatible with Convention rights. There are limits on judges ability to use section 3 which restrict cases in which it can be used. First, section 3 cannot go against the grain of the fundamental purpose of the legislation in question. Second, judges can only go so far as possible when interpreting legislation. The means that judges are restrained by the plain words of the provision and cannot stray from it s meaning so far as to completely amend it. Next, section 4 of the HRA 1998 provides that ... • 4. Sylvia Plath Metaphors Metaphors by Sylvia Plath was written in 1959. It is a lyric poem that uses metaphors to create a riddle, as she states in line one. Plath is using a narrator voice in her poetry to describe her pregnancy with the use of metaphors and her ambivalence to her current state. The narrator is mocking herself and I find her mocking tone to pregnancy as something I want to incorporate in my writing when writing about my character s eating disorder. The poem starts with the narrator announcing herself as a riddle in nine syllables. The nine syllables is the first hint that the poem is going to be about pregnancy. Plath correlated the use of the word nine to the length of a pregnancy, giving the reader an inkling of what is to be expected of the poem. The narrator then goes on to describe herself as an elephant, then a house, two very distinctively large objects. She is now mocking the weight gain caused by pregnancy and she furthers this by comparing herself to a melon, strolling on two tendrils. These lines give the reader a vivid imagery of someone that has become stout and is struggling to do normal tasks such as walk. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the poem she uses vivid imagery to convey the feelings of emotional suicide. The poem begins with an answer to the question why do you want to die? she answers this question by starting the poem with since you ask and takes the reader through a journey where the final destination is committing suicide. In her poetry, she does not use the voice of the narrator like the way Plath does, instead it is more of a conversational piece. Her poetry is confessional and written in her point of view, whereas with Plath s poems I ve mentioned before, there is a disconnect where the reader reads it in the voice of the narrator, instead of Plath s voice. In the poem, she notes that her body is a physical bad prison that should be emptied completely in order to finally be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Culture And Media Bias Media shapes the society we live in today and has grown and evolved to become a way of controlling culture and people. Media has a variety of meanings, the most common being; channels of communication which can range from interpersonal media such as letters, texting, telephone and skype to mass media which uses TV, radio, newspapers and the internet to convey information. The vessel in which information is being communicated is very important, as it has a heavy influence on the way a society and its culture is formed. Harold Innis, a political economist, wrote about the bias of communication and monopolies of power and divided media bias into 2 categories; time biased media and space biased media. He compares time biased media to the Egyptian rule and space bias to the Roman Empire. The idea being that, changes in communication rapidly advance society, and you must find the correct balance between time and space biased communication to achieve a stable society. In Egyptian times, stone and speech were used as methods of communication for laws, tradition, stories and myths which last generations and are not easily corruptible. Societies with time bias tended to be more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The priority of news outlets is to keep an audience which is its most vital commodity. This involves making the news appealing and entertaining which should cater to the guilty pleasures and prejudices of the audience, such as: fear, moral self satisfaction and feel good stories. • 6. Purpose Of Tragedy In Romeo And Juliet Purpose and Tragedy Involving Romeo and Juliet Many of Shakespeare s tragedies illustrate that they have an unhappy ending, but that isn t true in every case such as this one. In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet , Shakespeare is showing that happiness can be found between two young lovers, even in the midst of civil strife. When Shakespeare wrote this play, it was the Elizabethan Age. During this time, daughters were their fathers property and were sold to men of any age, for livestock in return. Women had less power and say than men, and the father of the house was always in charge. Romeo had a little more freedom than Juliet per se. Juliet, for example, was the princess locked up in the vine covered tower with a wealthy family to keep her there. Romeo had more freedom and was in a family with not as much money as Juliet s. There was also a social class where the Duke and Duchess held the most power and the peasants had the least power. Juliet s family ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of those instances is at the end of the play when Juliet uttered, ...drunk all, and left no friendly drop to help me after? I will kiss thy lips; haply some poison yet doth hang on them, to make die with a restorative. . By uttering this, it shows how she was wanting so badly to be with Romeo that she would take her life to do so. If she didn t find happiness from their relationship and him she would never have done what she did, or things would have at least ended differently. The most tragic part about Romeo and Juliet is that their death and that they end through death. Their impulsive decision making, and anger towards their families guided their actions. Today, everyone is able in a way to relate to Romeo and Juliet at some point, by going through the process of being in love . • 7. The Masters Of Business Administration The Masters of Business Administration, MBA, is well established and recognized globally by both private and public companies. Many high profiled individuals in leadership position have achieved their status and success by earning an MBA. However, there are several individuals who are also highly successful and have achieved their status without an MBA. As a current student pursuing an MBA at Dallas Baptist University, I seek to explore what the real benefits of pursuing higher education are. How can earning an MBA enable an individual to be a better leader? (source?) A recent study conducted by Stanford University revealed that students who recently completed their MBA program faced several challenges at work. They shared that they had difficulties managing subordinates, relationships with both peers and bosses, and managing their own responsibilities as leaders. Many of the alumni commented that the MBA program provided them with valuable information in the form of case studies, theories, and group projects, but they also felt that the program did not specifically train them for specific challenges that a manager would face on a day to day basis. The knowledge gained from the MBA program lacked practical application. (Becoming a Leader: Early career challenges faced by MBA graduates: AGAINST) Another study conducted in Japan discovered that individuals who are currently pursuing or have completed the MBA program revealed that some employers felt that these individuals ... • 8. The One-And-Done Rule The first reason why the one and done rule should be eliminated is because players who leave after one year of college do not have a secure future without a college degree. A college degree is a very important part of having a successful career, and although an NBA player already has a job, the average NBA career only lasts only 4.8 years ( Athlete ). Due to the fact that an NBA career is usually short, it is important to finish college and have a degree in case a player s career is unexpectedly ended because of injury. An example of a player who left college after one year was Greg Oden. Oden attended Ohio State University for one year before declaring for the 2007 NBA draft. Oden was selected with the first overall pick, but his career has not turned out like many expected it to due to injury. His career is now at the lowest point it has ever been, and he is now at risk of his career being over without having earned a degree (Wallace). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the main concerns with a young player is their ability to handle money. Players who come out of college are given huge paychecks as soon as they are drafted, and this is a big change from college where players are not paid an annual salary. It is very important that young NBA players are responsible with their money so it will last after their career is over. During his rookie season, former one and done player Julius Randle bought a $78,000 Porshe Panamera, which came out of Randle s rookie salary (Hansford). This purchase showed that Randle might not be mature enough to handle his salary, and that he needs better spending habits if he wants to be financially secure. Young players not being able to handle the money given to them is a sign of immaturity that supports that the one and done rule is not helpful to players ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Modern Day Red District Chicago There are many challenges one can face when writing and directing a movie, this task becomes significantly harder when the film is going to be an adaptation. One major challenge that is faced when adapting an ancient play into modern times is to achieve the perfect amount of intertextuality. Spike Lee was able to put into Chi Raq the perfect amount of modern day application by setting the movie in modern day red district Chicago. He also is able to add the correct amount of the original Lysistrata by using it as the main character s name as well as having the entire movie in verse. Another aspect that is challenging to make in an adaptation is to choose the correct issue to try and inform the public on. Spike Lee could have chosen the amount of fighting that happens in an actual declared war zone, but he chose to have the movie be set in modern day Chicago with a pertinence to educate people on what happens in their country. Even though intertextuality is a large difficulty that is faced when adapting a film there is also the reception of audience to take into thought. The topic that Chi Raq depicts is a very sensitive subject. That is that there are many ways that this movie could have come off as more offensive. It could be offensive to the people of Chicago because the movie is depicting their city to be as bad as a war zone. As well as an insult to the members of the military thinking that the movie is making a joke about the war in Iraq. Another challenge that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Example Of Complication In Antigone Antigone Life has a way of becoming complicated. Problems between friends, foes, and even family members develop everyday for people of all walks of life. It is part of human nature to disagree, cause conflict and fight for what we believe in even if that means stepping on someone else s toes along the way. Aristotle had thoughts on complication dating back to 335 B.C when he wrote Poetics the earliest surviving work of dramatic theory. In it he analyzed tragedies and theorized that every tragedy falls into two parts complication and unraveling or denouncement. Sophocles stated, By complication I mean all that extends from the beginning of the action to the part which marks the turning point to good or bad fortune. The Unraveling is ... Creon believes his laws are the correct way of ruling, which ultimately leads to his downfall. If he had taken a moment to be more open minded he may have realized that he could not triumph over the gods and that eventually this complication would unravel for the worse. Antigone s complications begin to unravel as she becomes more open minded towards the end of the play. Although she never states that she was in the wrong for going against the king s wishes, she does begin to show remorse as her death is fast approaching. The fear of her impending death is what made her realize that there is a chance that she could have been in the wrong for burying Polyneices. As she is about to be locked in her stone tomb she cries, Very well: if this is the pleasure of the gods, once I suffer I will know that I was wrong (164). This is the first time we see Antigone waver from her strong headed ideals and intense loyalty that led her to going against the king s decree. We see her situation continue to unravel as she loses composure and begins feeling sorry for herself when she states, Now he has taken me by force, he is driving me down unmarried. I ve had no man, no wedding celebration, shared nothing with a husband, never raised a child (164). This is a side of Antigone that has not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The seasons of the year determines the Walleye mood. Early spring the walleye are really active and hungry. Most anglers use minnows as bait during the spring of the year on the lake. This, of course, begs the question as to why are we, as human beings, are the way we are; what makes us tick? Most people have probably asked this question at one point or another, there are those of us today who have dedicated their entire lives to answering this question. Humanity s answer to this conundrum is the scientific field of Psychology, the study of the human mind and its functions. Psychology can be traced back to as far as 428 B.C. stemming from the Ancient Greeks (Plato), but at this time it was more philosophic thought than a field of science; it did not become a legitimate scientific field until the early 1800s. Before the 1800s, even after its founding to an extent, it was not fully accepted to be science; other scholars thought the study of the human mind and its mechanisms to be too abstract a field to be considered anything but philosophy. As biology developed and neurology emerged psychology gained the support it needed to given credence by other scholars and fields of science. • 21. Similarities And Differences Between The Movie And The... In The Silence of the Lambs, both the book and film have the same storyline of Clarice Starling, a young U.S. FBI trainee, seeks the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecter to apprehend another serial killer, known as Buffalo Bill . When she uses Dr. Lecter s help to capture Buffalo Bill, he somehow escapes out of the prison he is in. But in the end, they are able to capture Buffalo Bill, but Dr. Lecter was never found. He did, however, call Clarice and told her not to search for him, and he would not search to kill her. Much of the film and book are exactly the same with only small differences, which set them apart. In 1992, it won an Academy Award for Best Writing Adapted Screenplay, which really shows how much effort Jonathan Demme, the director put into this film to keep the same plot. The small differences throughout, really sway the reader or viewer to make a decision on which one really captured the storyline better. In the film, the backstory of Jack Crawford is not really shown. In the book, however, the reader can really tell how much effort and sacrifice he made for the job he has. Because of all of Crawford s effort, it really built Clarice s character. Clarice in the story is seen as a second chance for Crawford because of his mistakes he made with Will Graham. Both stories really mirror each other and fit into each other. In the film, however, it is hard to fit so much tiny detail into a two hour film, so the movie wasn t able to show the small details about Clarice. The book nevertheless, was able to shape Clarice as an individual. But, during the film Jodi Foster, the actor who played Clarice Starling in the film, was really able to embrace her character and brought as much detail as she could. Another small detail about Dr. Lecter is in the book, he is described as having red eyes and six fingers on one hand, but in the film, he has blue eyes and both hands only have 5 fingers. In a crucial scene, in the novel, it sways the guard s attention from his other hand, in which he holds a makeshift key to his handcuffs. This allows him to escape from his cage.
