This document provides an overview of the Google Scholar database and how to use it to search for scholarly articles and other materials. It notes that Google Scholar indexes journals, books, articles, theses and other scholarly works, and provides abstracts and citation links when available through subscriptions. The document reviews both advantages, such as easy searching and citation information, and disadvantages, such as some errors, incomplete coverage, and lack of access without subscriptions. It then provides screenshots to demonstrate the main search interface and settings, and how to search, filter results, and access full texts through Oxford University subscriptions.
