Eliminative materialism (eliminativism) is an ontologically radical approach that claims that a
matured cognitive science will show that mental states that common sense takes for granted, such

theoretical terms for the false theory of folk psychology(common sense psychology), which can be
defined as the cognitive ability to explain and predict the behaviour and mental state of other

that there are significant fundamental flaws to both the arguments for eliminativism about
propositional attitudes and eliminativism about qualia (subjective experience). For the former, I
will argue that the eliminative materialist s theory theory is flawed and show that propositions
alone can discredit the position on philosophy of mind. This will lead to identifying the position as
self refuting. Furthermore, I will show that science itself has proven simulation theory to be true so
that I can discredit eliminative materialism. For the latter, I will argue that qualia exist due to

Another difference between the two countries is their court system. France does not practice
judicial review. In the United States, the Supreme Court has the principle responsibility of ruling on
the constitutionality of all laws. This kind of judicial review is not practiced in France (Terrill 232).
In France they have the Constitutional council which has nine members serving a nine year term,
they are responsible for election complaints and the legislation made in parliament. The advantage
of this is that it reduces the conflict of jurisdictions. But the disadvantage is that our Supreme Court
has a longer term than the Constitutional Council which allows more constant laws and fewer laws
that will contradict each other.
The aspect of legal profession and legal education is also extremely different. To become a judge
in France you must first obtain a law degree from a university law school. Next you must gain
admission to the National School for the Judiciary at Bordeaux (Terrill 236). After completing
this school, the candidate is now qualified to become a judge. The French system allows judges
to begin their profession at an early age which could be a disadvantage because of lack of
experience in the system, where judges in the United States are usually older and more

principles. Each organization utilizes their own practices as it correlates to their organizations
mission, goals and culture. What works for one organization may not work for the next. In my
opinion, I believe that multiple management practices can work for an organization. The best way

But now in the Navy I currently work on a 200 ton ship. My work environment is arduous,
industrious and at times very dangerous. I would definitely say that the typical management
practices don t work for my work environment. But fortunately some of them do work and they
work very well.

The problem of gangs and violence are commonly found in Chicago, especially during the night
time. Although the rate seems to be lower compared to the past, the violence rate is still shocking
compared to other states. Therefore, violence in Chicago s neighborhoods and communities cannot
be overlooked. Statistics show that 1,109 school aged youth were shot, and 216 of those were
killed in 2010. As a student of UIC, I often receive crimealert emails as violencecases seemed to
occur quite often around the campus area. In order to improve the public security to ensure
residents safety, it is essential to find ways to solve these issues. It is because violence can cause
negative effects in many different aspects. Besides individual s physical well being, it may also
lead to some long term psychological problems; such as anxiety, eating and sleeping problem.

Blake chose to use a children s song, similar to many nursery rhymes, to explain a theological
matter, in terms that even a child can understand. He begins by asking the age old question:
Who made thee? This initiates the thought process in the reader, causing the reader to begin to
ponder this same question, even if he or she is not conscious of it. He continues to describe all
of the many blessing and provisions the lamb has. This again causes the reader to look
introspectively at his or her own blessings and provisions. He then answers the question by using
God s own words to describe Himself, drawing the parallel between the creator and the created.
