A business man hires a group of hitmen to track down and kill Rick Mortem. Rick has acquired an item that could bring down the business man. The hitmen gather at a meeting where the business man shows them a photo of Rick and tells them he needs to be dealt with. The arrogant hitman Chrollo volunteers to take the job. The hitmen begin following Rick and his friend. When they catch up to them, one hitman throws the friend against a wall, demanding to know where Rick is. Rick manages to get away but the hitmen continue hunting him as the business man grows increasingly angry that the job has not been completed.
