Financial Crisis By Mainstream And Heterodox Economists
The occurrence of financial crises following financial reforms is attributed by mainstream economists
to economic reforms being incomplete or to their incorrect sequencing. Briefly explain this argument.
Focus your briefing note on the reasons advanced particularly by heterodox economists to criticize
this argument. The purpose of this note is to briefly examine the different approaches in interpreting
the financial crisis by mainstream and heterodox economists. To emphasize the drawbacks in the
neoclassical (mainstream) view, and criticize it from the post Keynesian (major heterodox) viewpoint.
The latest financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 will definitely become a cornerstone in the history of
economic though and, correspondingly, the development of capitalistic system. It is a turning point as
the neoclassical (mainstream) theory that has seemingly been a driver of the late 30 years of
development lacks the ability to comprehensively explain the causes of frequent economic downturns,
and provide policy implications for preventing crisis from occurring again and again. However, the
masterminds of the neoclassical school have suggested some reasonable arguments in favor of free
markets, liberalized interest rates, trade, foreign direct investments, privatization, deregulation, and
property rights summarized in the list of 10 reforms (John Williamson, 2004) and called for more
financial liberalization policies. While the financial markets are liberalized and the real

Step Guideline Of A German Shepherd
The German shepherd is a very upright dog breed with outstanding working capabilities. These dogs
are able to perform long hours of physical exercise without portraying signals of excessive fatigue.
They are mostly used as guard dogs, police dogs, therapy dogs and also search and rescue dogs.
This breed is also one of the most admirable family pet dogs simply due to its variety of adorable
traits. However, owning a German Shepherd Dog comes along with a huge obligation to train it. It is
paramount that the owner shall at least demonstrate basic obedience with their dog.
A fact we all need to acknowledge is that German Shepherds are quite huge and strong dogs and you

The chief purpose of leash training your dog is to stop them from pulling on the leash as it not only
makes the whole idea of walking a dog disappointing but also encourages the unpleasant behaviors he
has. Generally, it s far easier to leash train a puppy than an older dog but it can be done in both cases,
the latter demanding a little more patience. Below is a comprehensive step by step guideline towards a
successful German shepherd leash training.
1. Choose the correct collar
Leash training German shepherd dog should begin with selecting an appropriate collar and placing it
onto your dog s neck. Be sure to purchase a standard leather collar that is not too tight as we don t
intend to hurt or strangle them. Next, try wearing it while the dog is absent minded; maybe playing
with one of his toys or eats. Allow him to get used to it and don t relieve him even if he tries to scratch
it off or dislodge it. Instead, wait until he forgets about it and then take it off.
2. Let the Dog get used to the leash
Next, attach a leash to the collar and allow your dog to run freely with it around the house. The dog
needs to comprehend the fact that there is an unfamiliar item attached to his neck and he cannot do

Disadvantages Of Texting While Driving Essay
The Disadvantages of texting while driving Ali Aubain Mrs. O Connor Francis Research Paper First
Draft English 11/4th period 4 2 16 Texting and driving has become a recent issue in today s world.
Many teens, as well as adults , have formed a habit of texting while driving. Texting while driving is
distracting and the possibilities of getting into a car accident while texting and driving are higher than
if you are not. Texting while driving have gotten so ridiculous the government has realized this is an
ongoing problem that is causing accidents. In attempting to prevent this, new laws have been passed,
making the use of cell phones while driving a car, illegal. However, too many people do not respect or
pay attention to this law which put many people lives at risk. There are several disadvantages of

phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year. Nearly 330,000 injuries occur each

How The Supply Chain Has Evolved Over The Years
The supply chain has evolved over the years. With new businesses that are on the rise in the
competitive world it is important to stay on top. Different merchants create better deals that cause
relationships between the suppliers and their customers to the end. I wanted to explore those
relationships and research the history of the supply chain . I wanted to know how things were ran and
how they are able to sustain business when the economy changes.
How supply chain management has evolved In the 1940s and 1950s, the focus of logistics research
was on how to use mechanization (e.g., pallets and pallet lifts) to improve the very labor intensive
processes of material handling and how to take better advantage of space using racking and better
warehouse design and layout. The unit load concept gained popularity and the use of pallets became
widespread. In the mid 1950s, this concept was extended to transportation management with the
development of inter modal containers together with ships, trains, and trucks to handle these
containers. By the 1960s, a clear trend had developed in shifting more time dependent freight
transportation to truck rather than rail. This led to the need for joint consideration of warehousing,
material handling, and freight transportation, which emerged under the label of Physical Distribution.
Since the 1980s, computer technology has advanced at such a phenomenal rate that it is currently far
ahead of the ability of the supply and logistics field

My Field Experience At Cc Spaulding Elementary School
Over the Fall Break vacation, I decided to conduct my field experience at CC Spaulding Elementary
School. I had the opportunity to work with Ms. Sarah Ashley and Mrs. Williams Pre K class. I had
previously shadowed with Ms. Ashley, so she was eager to welcome me back. Over the days, I got
myself acquainted with her students to make them comfortable with my presence. Luckily, they
welcomed me in with no hesitation. After settling in, Ms. Ashley and I discussed my schedule and the
activities that I would be completing while there. One activity I observed on my first day was how the
students interacted with one another during outside play time. One thing that I did notice during play
time was that the girls of the same ethnicity only played with each other. To give some background on
the makeup of this class, the majority is either of African American or Hispanic descent. The ratio of
boys to girls was nine to eight. The four Hispanic girls stuck together playing with the hula hoops and
on the small climbers with the slide in cooperative play; while the four African American girls played
on the tricycles and with the foam toys. On the other hand, the boys were more mixed in their
interactions. They were playing with the balls throwing and chasing each other around. Though they
probably paid no attention there segregated acts, but Ms. Ashley and Mrs. Williams did. To combat
this situation and encourage more mixed interaction, I think Ms. Ashley should mix up the girls when

The Restrictions Of The Dream Deferred By Langston Hughes
Summary: The poem by Langston Hughes is a short poem, with only eleven lines. This poem was
written 1951 when African Americans where still racially segregated and where still facing prejudice
as well as economic hardships. The speaker, not clear if male or female makes correlations of the
outcome of the dream deferred . He or she wonders if it dried up, festered, or is stinking up, crusting
over, or exploding. The dream that the author is talking about is not clearly stated but from the context
I believe he refer to the restrictions faced by African Americans in obtaining the American Dream. The
words in this poem, have such a dark context that you can actually smell something that has begun the
process of decaying. It is interesting to

Analyzing Searle s Chinese Room Argument
Searle s Chinese Room Searle s Chinese Room argument tackles the question if computers can really
understand or think for themselves, and if this understanding can be expressed through related terms.
It is imperative to comment that this argument challenges the idea of strong AI instead of weak AI.
Strong AI is the view that programmed computers can understand natural language along with other
mental skills similar to humans. An example of strong AI is a computer that can play a board game
intelligently or fathom a language. Weak AI is the understanding that computers are only useful in
things like psychology or grammar. The great difference is that weak AI makes no claim that
computers actually understand or are intellectual. The Chinese ... Show more content on

Searle states in his writing, The point of the argument is this: if the man in the room does not
understand Chinese on the basis of implementing the appropriate program for understanding Chinese
then neither does any other digital computer solely on that basis because no computer, qua computer,
has anything the man does not have. It is important to understand that this computation is just rule
based symbol manipulation, and that the manipulation and matching is done purely on the basis of the
shape of the symbols, not on their meaning. This is central for the discussion of intelligent AI because
it claims that artificial intelligence will never be able to understand and think for its own. It will
always rely on a human controller to give it the inputs that it needs to have a matching output. Searle
points out that in executing the program not even he would understand the messages. He would only
manipulate symbols, on the basis of their shapes, according to the rules in the manual. Therefore,
because of the hardware independence of computation, if Searle would not be understanding Chinese
under those conditions, neither would any other piece of hardware executing that Chinese Turing Test
passing program. This argument directly argues against the theory that cognition is just computation
that both humans and AI can achieve. Another way to state this argument in a more simplified manner
is that programs are entirely syntactical and because minds have a semantics, programs are not minds
because syntax isn t the same as

Comparing Ron Howard s How the Grinch Stole Christmas to Dr. Seuss Grinch
Whether or not you consider Ron Howard s version of Dr Seuss s classic How The Grinch Stole
Christmas comical, yet disgraceful, there s no ignoring the little green monster s reign over the box
office. The movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas starring Jim Carrey, was released in November of
2000, reaching a gross high of over $200 million in the U.S alone (The Numbers). However, I feel that
this version has over exaggerated the original story, and I will back this up by showing many
examples of how Dr. Seuss s classic turned into a marketing, franchise frenzy.
Dr. Seuss s original fable is a simple story told with a great moral that criticizes the ... Show more

This show can be seen on TV every Christmas season. Then Ron Howard takes this short film and
draws it out to be a two and a half hour long movie. The worst aspect of the movie is that it makes a
mockery of Seuss s main message: Christmas doesn t come from a store. This movie is all about
selling, from those furry talking Grinch dolls to endless fast food tie ins.
There are many differences between the movie and the original story, one of which is Cindy Lou Who.
In the original Grinch she is portrayed as innocent two year old. In the movie however, she is about
seven years old, which allows her to be slightly more skeptical about things. Jim Carrey played The
Grinch, but when watching this movie it seemed as if The Grinch was playing Jim Carrey. The
original cartoon leaves you with much more imagination as to why the Grinch is so mean. Quoting
from Dr. Seuss s book:
The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season! Now, please don t ask why. No one quite
knows the reason. It could be that his head wasn t screwed on quite right. It could be, perhaps, that his
shoes were to tight. But I think that the most likely reason of all May have been that his heart was two
sizes too small. (Seuss).
However in the over exaggerated movie it included the reason behind the Grinch s hatred of
Christmas; saying it was because the kids used to tease him when he was little, until the day he

Classical Utilitarianism In The Meatpacking Factory
Question #2: The Meatpacking Factory
According to classical utilitarianism, we must allocate the total amount of happiness among as many
people as possible (Pojman, 218). When analyzing whether to allow the Islamic employees the right to
pray on break, utilitarians may argue that allowing Islamic employees, who only make up 20% of the
factory population, the right to pray is a decision that focuses on the minority as opposed to what is
best for the majority. Furthermore, there is evidence that allowing Islamic employees to take flexible
breaks hinders the factory s productivity, which damages profits, and in turn, hurts not only the factory
employees but also the shareholders in the company. Additionally, the issue is also forming tensions
between the Islamic and non Islamic employees. For all these reasons, utilitarians could argue that it is
better for the majority if Windham did not allow the Islamic workers to pray during work. However,
this is an incomplete argument because it fails to account for the potential consequences. Should
Windham choose to violate the agreement he has established with the Islamic workers, he runs the risk
of being sued for violating his agreement with the Islamic employees. Furthermore, Windham risks
external organizations becoming involved because he is violating the workers rights to practice their
faith. Both of these ramifications would not only hurt his company because of negative publicity but
would also hurt key stakeholders because

The Competition Of BASF
BASF interacts in the agriculture, automotive and transportation, chemical, energy and resource, paint
and coating as well as in the plastic and rubber industry. The company produces and sells
polyurethanes, engineering plastics, styrenic foams and specialty plastic, which are used in the
consumer, transportation, construction and industrial sector. Polyurethanes, BASF s major product,
consists of the A component and B component. The chemical company Wanhua, which is located in
China, only sells the B component and is therefore not a competitor for BASF regarding the A
component and polyurethane.
Hence, the main competitors of BASF are Dow, Bayer and Huntsman (Coenen, 2014).

BASF offers products to its buyers at certain prices, who can either accept this price or try to

BASF is that the company can easily regulate and even shut down supplies to them. Hence, buyers
depend on BASF as they require the material in order to continue the manufacturing process. This
process is also working the other way around with BASF and its suppliers. On the one hand buyers
and suppliers cannot exist without BASF, on the other hand BASF cannot exist without its buyers and
suppliers. As a result, the relationship between BASF and its suppliers and buyers is regarded as a
partnership (Coenen,

The Ottoman Empire Essay
The Ottoman Empire
Around 1293 the chieftain of a nomadic Turkish tribe named Osman, founded an empire that would
endure almost six hundred years. As this empire grew by conquering lands of the Byzantine Empire
and beyond, it came to include, at its height, all of Asia Minor, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia,
Romania, Egypt, Crete, Cyprus, Palestine, and North Africa through Algeria; parts of Hungry, Austria,
Russia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman, U.A.E., and Syria. The elite tactics and fearsome fighting of the
well trained Janissary Corps helped make the Ottoman Empire one of the largest in the world s history.

had converted to Islam. They were brought up in the Janissary camp from about the age of 5. They
were trained to be fearsome warriors, although some were trained to be administrators. Most of the
Janissary soldiers were in the cavalry. The cavalry was one of the main keys to the Ottoman s many
victories. The Janissary Corp s soldiers were paid with a regular salary now that the country was
established and taxes were collected. Orhan s [son of Osman, the founder of the Ottoman Empire]
capture of Bursa in 1324 provided the first means for developing the administrative, financial, and
military power necessary to make this principality into a real state and create an army ( J. F. von
Hamer Pugstall 773). The Janissary Corps were the most awesome force that Europe had contended
with for centuries. They were the most fearsome fighters to attack Europe since Gengis Khan s Golden
Hordes. They fought like well trained animals. Orhan soon was able to capture the remaining
Byzantine towns in north western Antola: Iznik(1331), Izmit(1337), and Uskudar(1338) (J. F. von
Hamer Pugstall 771). 3 Murad conquered Thorace, northwest of Constantinople in 1361. He moved
the capital to Adrianople ( J. F. von Hamer Pugstall 772). The Ottomans were not always expanding
by means of war and conquest. They also gained territory through marriage and purchases. Bayezed

Sun Tzu Art Of War
It was but a major coincidence that Sun Tzu s The Art of War came to existence at a similar timeline to
the Greco Persian Wars. Granted, the exact date of the book s publication was unknown, according to
History.com, historians believed that the book was present between the 4th or 5th century BC.
Assuming that the estimated date was right, then it was remarkable how the tactics and strategy used
in the first and second Persian invasions of Greece that took place from 499 BC to 449 BC, paralleled
much of Sun Tzu s ideology and wisdom on warfare. If Sun Tzu somehow were to travel through
space and time to observe the Greco Persian Wars as it happened, he would have been overwhelmed at
the similarities between his principles and the tactics ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, the Persian army demolished buildings, stole Greek treasure, and reduced the Athens to
rubble when they seized the Greek city. That would have perhaps shocked Sun Tzu the most since he
believed that in the practical art of war, the enemy s country should be left untouched (8). The rule
was not to destroy the conquered cities if possible. (8). It was better to keep besieged cities intact as it
would avoid the large cost of expenditure. Sun Tzu would have likely opposed much of the
generalship shown by the Persians. The general needed a great variation of tactics and an
understanding of the configuration of the country (30). Also, there were some major faults pointed in
the Art of War that were exhibited by the Persian commanders such as recklessness and vulnerability
(31, 32). This was apparent when Xerxes fled after the loss at Salamis. It showed the cowardice of the
ruler and the breakdown of the invasion. In this regard, it was obvious that Sun Tzu would have
condemned many of the Persian actions since it went against the readings of his book. The rulers and
generals of the Persian kingdom made decisions that Sun Tzu would not have made. In retrospect,
presuming that Sun Tzu were to advise the Persian ruler in the war, the outcome of the war would

Essay about The Renaissance as a Distinct Period of Time
The Middle Ages was a time in history where everyone was faithful to religion as well as others. Also,
in the Middle Ages, people were encouraged to always try their best; they were encouraged to strive
for the highest achievement possible and to never give up. The Renaissance, however, was more
focused on becoming matured and finding a way to be successful at everything one does. During this
era, people strived to become all sided men, also known as; renaissance men. This means they are not
only successful in one type of art but in all types of art, as well as math, science, and literature. The
Renaissance was a distinct period in time that was separated from the Middle Ages and began a new
era.
The writers and thinkers of the fifteenth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They believed that the people of the Middle Ages used religion as an excuse to drink and gain money
and power (Document 5). The Middle Ages was a time where people were more conserved with
education and did not have the curiosities that fell upon those in the Renaissance.
Curiosity of the human body and deeper knowledge about art and literature became two popular areas
throughout the Renaissance. Leonardo daVinci drew beautiful pieces of art that depicted the natural
and realistic human body and it s internal muscle and bone structures. The drawings of the human
body by daVinci, show that he was not afraid to go the distance and have no limits as to how far he
will push himself to understand the human body (Document 6). Leonardo was a true Renaissance
man. In addition, another evidential person who leads a reader towards making the inference that the
Renaissance is a separate era from the Middle Ages, is Johannes Kepler. Johannes Kepler was an
astronomer from Germany that made an observation about people in the Middle Ages that tend to
follow and agree with everything the priests say. Johannes said that with the distinct knowledge of the
Renaissance, people now had their own education and had the power to question what others said or
thought (Document 7).
Education was always existent through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. However, the education
during the Renaissance was extremely different and more widely spread than the education that was
provided in

at the end of the Second World War. The play is set in 1912, just before the First World War. The play
was set at this particular time so that J.B. Priestley could get his message across more clearly. The
message was that we all have to take responsibility for our actions, which can have consequences.
Another reason why this may be a well made play is that J.B. Priestley gives hints to the audience at
the beginning, which builds up excitement and interest. The hints given are revealed slowly
throughout the play. Examples of the hints would be when Sheila comments about Gerald never
coming near her the previous ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gradually, as the play progresses, the audience interest increases as more and more is revealed about
the family s involvement with Eva Smith. Firstly we learn that Mr. Birling has sacked Eva Smith from
his own factory because she asked for more pay. I think Mr. Birling couldn t care less about Eva, he
thought of the situation as strictly business. Well, it s my duty to keep labour costs down, and if I d
agreed to this demand for a new rate we d have added about twelve percent to our labour costs.
Secondly, Sheila got Eva Smith fired when jealousy arose with in her. This is when Sheila thought Eva
was laughing at her at how she looked in an item of clothing. Sheila thought Eva would look much
better in the dress than she would, so she complained to the manager and demanded she be fired;
because of how well known and of a high class she was the demand was met by the manager. At first
Sheila did not care or realise what she had done but after knowing Eva had died she felt very guilty.
Yes, that s it. And I know I m to blame and I m desperately sorry but I cant believe I wont believe it s
simply my fault that in the end she she committed suicide. That would be too horrible Thirdly, Gerald
was involved after having an affair with her and then ending the relationship after he had used her.
Gerald felt partly at fault, She

Process Essay-Giddy Up Cowboy
Giddy Up Cowboy YEEH HAAA! We all have watched those crazy western, old time movies, and
wanted to be able to get on and ride off into the sunset just like the Indians, cowboy or the wanted
rebels. Don t even shake your head, you know you have. Well just your luck, I am here to help you out
with that. Getting your horses, or a donkey works too, ready to ride can sometimes be a dreaded
process however; once you re on, and have the wind in your hair and the cold crispy fall breeze on
your face, it will all be worth the extensive process it takes to go through. Okay first you have to
retrieve or fetch your animal of choice you are going to be riding, such as a donkey or a horse. I would
prefer a horse, but it s your right as an American to choose. Catching the horse/ donkey will not
always be easy and may end up being the hardest part of the process. If the animal is not locked up in
a small area they may choose to trot around, this would cause ... Show more content on

This part should not just be a two minute process. This is when you make your connections with
animal you will be riding. For most they already have a connection, but for you who are just now
starting this hobby, this is a crucial part; unless you want to be on the ground half way through your
ride. So when you are grooming your animal of choice, take time to talk to them. They won t
understand it obviously but certain key words such as, good or their name they will pick up. While
talking make sure you are actually grooming them. It is extremely important to get two certain places
which includes: their hoofs and their back where the saddle is placed. If you were to forget every other
spot somehow, you would make it out alive. The one last thing to include with grooming is to make
sure you use fly spray. This is a key step! Without it horses/ donkeys will get utterly upset and this is
another situation you may end up off the horse due to them bucking at the

Rugby Energy System
It is of common knowledge that there proves to be a significant difference in what it takes
physiologically speaking when comparing athletes of different sporting backgrounds to one another.
Why is a marathon runner not as powerful as a rugby player or why can t a 400m sprinter run a
marathon? Simple, each athlete is more equipped to three different energy systems. As a sporting
coach it is universal to have an understanding of the three main energy systems that underpins the
study of exercise and the effect it has on the human body in regards to athletic performance. In order
to recognize the role in which different energy systems play in athletic performance, an understanding
will need to be gained. For this reasons this report is broken ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Mesopotamia Compare And Contrast
Mesopotamia is an ancient civilization from 3200 b.c to 536 b.c. It means The land between the rivers.
Mesopotamia was formed between Tigris and Euphrates rivers. It was apart of the Fertile Crescent.
The Fertile Crescent is a fertile arc of land from the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Mesopotamia had
river valley civilizations within it including Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, Hittite, Assyria, Israel, and New
Babylon. Sumer was the first civilization (3200 b.c. 1900 b.c.) which located in southeastern
Mesopotamia. Every city state had hierarchy. Hierarchy is a system of ranking groups. The king was
responsible for taking care of the city walls and irrigation systems. It also included Hereditary Rule,
which is the power passes from the father to the son. They also collected taxes, enforced laws, and
kept records. Theocracy is the blend of government and religion. ... Show more content on

Design Lab Water and Alka-Seltzer
Amount of Water Colin Lee Dr.Cooper Chemistry 12 Introduction: Alka seltzer contains three active
ingredients, aspirin, sodium hydrogen carbonate and citric acid. It is used for headaches, migraines,
and cold and flu symptoms. Alka Seltzer is usually taken when dissolved in a glass of water. When
placed in water a series of chemical reactions result into Sodium citrate and Sodium acetylsalicylate.
The sodium citrate would act as the antacid for stomach pains, and the sodium acetylsalicylate would
act as the pain reliever. Research Question: This investigation will determine the how the amount of
water (independent variable) affects the amount the amount of time (dependent variable) it takes for
the Alka Seltzer to dissolve. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This produces a 106% error causing a very large range of possible values causing our results to be
very imprecise. There are several sources of error to this experiment due to random and systematic
errors. The only source of random error was the measurement that we took through the graduated
cylinder which was only accurate to the nearest 1%. We took the largest error from this one percent,
which was +/ 3. The largest relative error this yielded was only 3%, so this did not affect how precise
this experiment was too much. We can still make this more precise by making the masses of the water
larger. For example if we started the masses at 300mL and went up by 50mL, the largest error this
would yield would be 2% due to the largest error being +/ 5. This would cause smaller errors in the
amount of water. There are four major systematic errors in the laboratory, which are the fact that some
of the Alka Seltzer pills were chipped, some of the water splashed out of the beaker, we didn t know
when the reaction was actually finished, and the mass of the Alka Seltzer might have been different.
The first observation made was that some of the pills were chipped. This would cause the mass of the
pills to change which would cause unnecessary error. In having different masses this would cause the
time of the reaction to differ because of the lack of the whole pill. A chipped pill would cause the time
to decrease since there are missing

Abstract: A mechanism of the initiated nonbranched chain process of forming 1,2 alkanediols and
carbonyl compounds in alcohol formaldehyde systems is suggested. The quasi steady state treatment
is used to obtain kinetic equations that can describe the nonmonotonic (with a maximum) dependences
of the formation rates of the products on the concentration of free unsolvated formaldehyde. The
experimental concentration of the free unsolvated form of formaldehyde are given at the different
temperatures, solvent permittivity, and total concentrations of formaldehyde in water and alcohols.
An empirical equation for calculating the free formaldehyde concentration in alcohol formaldehyde
(including water/ethanediol formaldehyde) systems at various temperatures and total formaldehyde
concentrations and an equation for evaluating solvent concentrations in these systems were derived.
Keywords: nonbranched chain process, free formaldehyde, 1 hydroxyalkyl radical, formyl radical,

Waste Glass Aggregate Concrete Countertop
RESEARCH PROPOSAL
RESEARCH TITLE: Durability of waste glass aggregate concrete countertop INTRODUCTION A
Wall Street Journal article once reported that some cities in the US are pulling back from the recycling
of waste glass. The sustainability officer for the town of Montclair, N.J, was mentioned in the report
saying; glass has become the scourge of recycling, and money can t be made from it. This problem
associated with waste glass could be resolved through seeking profitable alternative uses for the waste
glass. Using the waste glass as an aggregate in concrete countertops is one of those alternatives. Waste
glass as an aggregate in concrete designs like countertops would not only be a profitable creative
application of waste glass, but also promotes its uses in producing an environmentally friendly product
design.
Concrete is one of the oldest and durable composite materials in building and construction
engineering. Its importance cannot be overestimated. However, some of its traditional aggregates
release a lot of carbon dioxide to the environment during production. In broadening the use of
concrete as internal household design like countertops, exploiting the potentials of crushed waste glass
as a substitute for the carbon dioxide emitting aggregate is reasonable step towards a greener and
healthy environment. The objectives of this research are; using waste crushed glass as a partial
replacement for

Amino Acid Supplements Research Paper
Amino Acid Supplements
WHAT ARE AMINO ACID SUPPLEMENTS?
Amino acid supplements are a way to increase your daily amino acid intake. They contain large
amounts of amino acids that can be easily digested, absorbed, and used by the body. Amino acids are
the building blocks of protein, which is a major part of our diet. The body uses protein to build and
maintain tissues, muscle, and red blood cells. Protein also plays an important role in maintaining a
healthy defense (immune) system. Some of the amino acids used to make protein are produced by our
bodies (nonessential), while other amino acids are received from what we eat (essential). Essential
amino acids can be gotten from food, protein supplements, and amino acid supplements.

Analysis Of Bartleby The Scrivener
Herman Melville s, Bartleby, the Scrivener, tells the tale of Bartleby, the new scrivener at a lawyer s
office on Wall Street. In an office of industrious, distressed workers who endlessly perform mundane
tasks due to the orders of the lawyer, Bartleby forms a mystifying exception. Bartleby baffles his boss
and colleagues by responding to requests with his famous line, I would prefer not to. His response
demonstrates an unwillingness to work and a willingness to do what he truly desires, which is
extremely unusual to both his colleagues and their society and creates a massive social divide between
them. Due to the abandonment of those around him resulting from their growing frustration with his
inactivity, Bartleby ultimately faces a swift ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Concerningly, the narrator expresses his contentment with the arrangement, stating, Their fits relieved

natural arrangement under the circumstances. Rather than seeing the arrangement as detrimental to his
working community and looking to find a solution, the narrator finds their behaviors are convenient
and appropriate. His acceptance of his employees mental standing emphasizes how a focus on solely
economic performance robbed him of true sympathy or care for his employees. Turkey and Nippers
are led to neglect their work because their work environment and community neglect who they truly
are. The narrator tried to help Turkey by buying him a highly respectable looking coat, but he admits I
verily believe that buttoning himself up in so downy and blanket like a coat had a pernicious effect
upon him; upon the same principle that too much oats are bad for horses. By offering him a material

he cares for Turkey s internal well being. Healthy communities have leaders with vested interests in

Air Force Disillusionment Theory
The Air Force would be an organization that I have working in and one that I am familiar with. As an
airplane mechanic there has to be all of the elements said in Jaffee s table from social structure,
participants, goals, technology, and an environment where individuals can work in. To start off with
social structure there is always a chain of command or in some cases depends on the rank an
individual may have. As for me my rank is staff sergeant, so I oversee those who work in my shop, but
it could be different depending on where my higher ups place me. As a staff sergeant in my shop I help
and teach the new Airmen on their duties. In chapter ten of Images of Organization there was a
metaphor described as insights that attract and that comes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I mean this would not work if there was not an authoritative figure or if everyone wanted to be that
one powerful person. Going back to an Air Force example even we have to follow our chain of
command. Those individuals who are E 1 to E 3 do not want to be stuck on those ranks forever and
want to continue getting more stripes. The Air Force have somewhat like a mentor to keep persuading
individuals to see, understand, and imagine their maximum potential to get to where they want to be.
Decision making is a big deal in the Air Force, so those individuals who have the authoritative power
know what they are about to do. When an individual is being promoted this person has to re adapt to
the new workload and even new assignments. A promotion can mean a variety of different new things
because if this individual has a higher rank than one of his friends he has to put that new stance of I
have somewhat more authority than you; it is just one more of those adjustment that that individual
has to do. Decision making is a big deal also because an individual for instance may want to help an
airplane take off and he or she may not be one hundred percent trained, so that is when they have to
use the knowledge they have gained and incorporate it into the job they are facing. (This can be for
training purposes; we would not let someone who is not

Rin Year Pricing
allow the owners of almost any RIN a larger amount of benefits, as they have more flexibility in
regards to when and how they would like to trade their RIN if they see necessary.
A lot of times there are blending companies that try to rig the system by blending less than the
required amount. There are several reasons as to why. One of the main reasons that was a regular
occurrence over recent years was the blenders reacting to the price of ethanol rising. Geographically
the large increases have come from the west and East coasts. They are considerably higher than the
cost for ethanol in the Midwest (where the majority of ethanol is produced); this is because of
transportations costs. Another reason is that the west and east coasts have lower ... Show more content

RINs have forced companies to use different type of accounting methods. Accounting for RINs is
different mainly because when errors occur in relation to accounting for RINs (which inevitably
happens) the process of undoing the mistake is a lot more thorough. Let s say for example if a normal
company had made a mistake with a delivery by delivery. In this case they would have given more
merchandise to the company than that company had paid for. Usually by using basic accounting
methods the distributor would simply let its customer know that they made an error on the purchase
and it would be resolved by maybe a credit invoice. The reason that this scenario does not apply to
RINs is because you are dealing with serial numbers as to money. This means that by each RIN having
a specific number it makes the correction of mistake process a lot harder to correct. RINs have
become that difficult to account for that the EPA decided to issue a guidance document, which states
the improper and illegal trading practices for RINs. Because of these accounting problems companies
have looked at ways to create little advantages for themselves, one way of doing this is by separating
financial accounting RFS compliance systems. This allows companies to benefit from more efficient
procedures as well as better internal

Essay on Karl Marx s Estranged Labor
Karl Marx s Estranged Labor In Karl Marx s early writing on estranged labor there is a clear and
prevailing focus on the plight of the laborer. Marx s writing on estranged labor is an attempt to draw a
stark distinction between property owners and workers. In the writing Marx argues that the worker
becomes estranged from his labor because he is not the recipient of the product he creates. As a result
labor is objectified, that is labor becomes the object of mans existence. As labor is objectified man
becomes disillusioned and enslaved. Marx argues that man becomes to be viewed as a commodity
worth only the labor he creates and man is further reduced to a subsisting animal void of any capacity
of freedom except the will to labor. For ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He argues that this situation is analogous to a man and his religion. Marx writes, The more man puts
into God the less he retains in himself....The worker puts his life into the object, but now his life no
longer belongs to him but to the object. The result of the worker belonging to the object is that he is
enslaved. The worker belongs to something else and his actions are dictated by that thing. For Marx,
labor turns man into a means. Workers become nothing more than the capital necessary to produce a
product. Labor for Marx reduces man to a means of production. As a means of production man is
diminished to a subsisting enslaved creature void of his true nature. In this condition he is reduced to
the most detrimental state of man: one in which he is estranged from himself. To help expand on this
theme it is useful to look at Marx s allegory of man s life activity. Of the variety of reasons Marx
argues man is estranged from his labor, probably the most significant is his belief that labor estranges
man from himself. Marx argues that the labor the worker produces does not belong to the worker so in
essence the worker does not belong to the worker. By virtue of this condition Marx argues the worker
is enslaved. Enslavement for Marx is a condition alien to man and he becomes estranged from
himself. For Marx, man estranged from himself is stripped of his very nature. Not only because

  • 2. Financial Crisis By Mainstream And Heterodox Economists The occurrence of financial crises following financial reforms is attributed by mainstream economists to economic reforms being incomplete or to their incorrect sequencing. Briefly explain this argument. Focus your briefing note on the reasons advanced particularly by heterodox economists to criticize this argument. The purpose of this note is to briefly examine the different approaches in interpreting the financial crisis by mainstream and heterodox economists. To emphasize the drawbacks in the neoclassical (mainstream) view, and criticize it from the post Keynesian (major heterodox) viewpoint. The latest financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 will definitely become a cornerstone in the history of economic though and, correspondingly, the development of capitalistic system. It is a turning point as the neoclassical (mainstream) theory that has seemingly been a driver of the late 30 years of development lacks the ability to comprehensively explain the causes of frequent economic downturns, and provide policy implications for preventing crisis from occurring again and again. However, the masterminds of the neoclassical school have suggested some reasonable arguments in favor of free markets, liberalized interest rates, trade, foreign direct investments, privatization, deregulation, and property rights summarized in the list of 10 reforms (John Williamson, 2004) and called for more financial liberalization policies. While the financial markets are liberalized and the real ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Step Guideline Of A German Shepherd The German shepherd is a very upright dog breed with outstanding working capabilities. These dogs are able to perform long hours of physical exercise without portraying signals of excessive fatigue. They are mostly used as guard dogs, police dogs, therapy dogs and also search and rescue dogs. This breed is also one of the most admirable family pet dogs simply due to its variety of adorable traits. However, owning a German Shepherd Dog comes along with a huge obligation to train it. It is paramount that the owner shall at least demonstrate basic obedience with their dog. A fact we all need to acknowledge is that German Shepherds are quite huge and strong dogs and you do not want it to drag you when you take it for a walk around the block. You ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The chief purpose of leash training your dog is to stop them from pulling on the leash as it not only makes the whole idea of walking a dog disappointing but also encourages the unpleasant behaviors he has. Generally, it s far easier to leash train a puppy than an older dog but it can be done in both cases, the latter demanding a little more patience. Below is a comprehensive step by step guideline towards a successful German shepherd leash training. 1. Choose the correct collar Leash training German shepherd dog should begin with selecting an appropriate collar and placing it onto your dog s neck. Be sure to purchase a standard leather collar that is not too tight as we don t intend to hurt or strangle them. Next, try wearing it while the dog is absent minded; maybe playing with one of his toys or eats. Allow him to get used to it and don t relieve him even if he tries to scratch it off or dislodge it. Instead, wait until he forgets about it and then take it off. 2. Let the Dog get used to the leash Next, attach a leash to the collar and allow your dog to run freely with it around the house. The dog needs to comprehend the fact that there is an unfamiliar item attached to his neck and he cannot do any much about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. How The Supply Chain Has Evolved Over The Years The supply chain has evolved over the years. With new businesses that are on the rise in the competitive world it is important to stay on top. Different merchants create better deals that cause relationships between the suppliers and their customers to the end. I wanted to explore those relationships and research the history of the supply chain . I wanted to know how things were ran and how they are able to sustain business when the economy changes. How supply chain management has evolved In the 1940s and 1950s, the focus of logistics research was on how to use mechanization (e.g., pallets and pallet lifts) to improve the very labor intensive processes of material handling and how to take better advantage of space using racking and better warehouse design and layout. The unit load concept gained popularity and the use of pallets became widespread. In the mid 1950s, this concept was extended to transportation management with the development of inter modal containers together with ships, trains, and trucks to handle these containers. By the 1960s, a clear trend had developed in shifting more time dependent freight transportation to truck rather than rail. This led to the need for joint consideration of warehousing, material handling, and freight transportation, which emerged under the label of Physical Distribution. Since the 1980s, computer technology has advanced at such a phenomenal rate that it is currently far ahead of the ability of the supply and logistics field ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. My Field Experience At Cc Spaulding Elementary School Over the Fall Break vacation, I decided to conduct my field experience at CC Spaulding Elementary School. I had the opportunity to work with Ms. Sarah Ashley and Mrs. Williams Pre K class. I had previously shadowed with Ms. Ashley, so she was eager to welcome me back. Over the days, I got myself acquainted with her students to make them comfortable with my presence. Luckily, they welcomed me in with no hesitation. After settling in, Ms. Ashley and I discussed my schedule and the activities that I would be completing while there. One activity I observed on my first day was how the students interacted with one another during outside play time. One thing that I did notice during play time was that the girls of the same ethnicity only played with each other. To give some background on the makeup of this class, the majority is either of African American or Hispanic descent. The ratio of boys to girls was nine to eight. The four Hispanic girls stuck together playing with the hula hoops and on the small climbers with the slide in cooperative play; while the four African American girls played on the tricycles and with the foam toys. On the other hand, the boys were more mixed in their interactions. They were playing with the balls throwing and chasing each other around. Though they probably paid no attention there segregated acts, but Ms. Ashley and Mrs. Williams did. To combat this situation and encourage more mixed interaction, I think Ms. Ashley should mix up the girls when they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Restrictions Of The Dream Deferred By Langston Hughes Summary: The poem by Langston Hughes is a short poem, with only eleven lines. This poem was written 1951 when African Americans where still racially segregated and where still facing prejudice as well as economic hardships. The speaker, not clear if male or female makes correlations of the outcome of the dream deferred . He or she wonders if it dried up, festered, or is stinking up, crusting over, or exploding. The dream that the author is talking about is not clearly stated but from the context I believe he refer to the restrictions faced by African Americans in obtaining the American Dream. The words in this poem, have such a dark context that you can actually smell something that has begun the process of decaying. It is interesting to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Analyzing Searle s Chinese Room Argument Searle s Chinese Room Searle s Chinese Room argument tackles the question if computers can really understand or think for themselves, and if this understanding can be expressed through related terms. It is imperative to comment that this argument challenges the idea of strong AI instead of weak AI. Strong AI is the view that programmed computers can understand natural language along with other mental skills similar to humans. An example of strong AI is a computer that can play a board game intelligently or fathom a language. Weak AI is the understanding that computers are only useful in things like psychology or grammar. The great difference is that weak AI makes no claim that computers actually understand or are intellectual. The Chinese ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Searle states in his writing, The point of the argument is this: if the man in the room does not understand Chinese on the basis of implementing the appropriate program for understanding Chinese then neither does any other digital computer solely on that basis because no computer, qua computer, has anything the man does not have. It is important to understand that this computation is just rule based symbol manipulation, and that the manipulation and matching is done purely on the basis of the shape of the symbols, not on their meaning. This is central for the discussion of intelligent AI because it claims that artificial intelligence will never be able to understand and think for its own. It will always rely on a human controller to give it the inputs that it needs to have a matching output. Searle points out that in executing the program not even he would understand the messages. He would only manipulate symbols, on the basis of their shapes, according to the rules in the manual. Therefore, because of the hardware independence of computation, if Searle would not be understanding Chinese under those conditions, neither would any other piece of hardware executing that Chinese Turing Test passing program. This argument directly argues against the theory that cognition is just computation that both humans and AI can achieve. Another way to state this argument in a more simplified manner is that programs are entirely syntactical and because minds have a semantics, programs are not minds because syntax isn t the same as ... Comparing Ron Howard s How the Grinch Stole Christmas to Dr. Seuss Grinch Whether or not you consider Ron Howard s version of Dr Seuss s classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas comical, yet disgraceful, there s no ignoring the little green monster s reign over the box office. The movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas starring Jim Carrey, was released in November of 2000, reaching a gross high of over $200 million in the U.S alone (The Numbers). However, I feel that this version has over exaggerated the original story, and I will back this up by showing many examples of how Dr. Seuss s classic turned into a marketing, franchise frenzy. Dr. Seuss s original fable is a simple story told with a great moral that criticizes the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This show can be seen on TV every Christmas season. Then Ron Howard takes this short film and draws it out to be a two and a half hour long movie. The worst aspect of the movie is that it makes a mockery of Seuss s main message: Christmas doesn t come from a store. This movie is all about selling, from those furry talking Grinch dolls to endless fast food tie ins. There are many differences between the movie and the original story, one of which is Cindy Lou Who. In the original Grinch she is portrayed as innocent two year old. In the movie however, she is about seven years old, which allows her to be slightly more skeptical about things. Jim Carrey played The Grinch, but when watching this movie it seemed as if The Grinch was playing Jim Carrey. The original cartoon leaves you with much more imagination as to why the Grinch is so mean. Quoting from Dr. Seuss s book: The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season! Now, please don t ask why. No one quite knows the reason. It could be that his head wasn t screwed on quite right. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were to tight. But I think that the most likely reason of all May have been that his heart was two sizes too small. (Seuss). However in the over exaggerated movie it included the reason behind the Grinch s hatred of Christmas; saying it was because the kids used to tease him when he was little, until the day he ... • 10. Classical Utilitarianism In The Meatpacking Factory Question #2: The Meatpacking Factory According to classical utilitarianism, we must allocate the total amount of happiness among as many people as possible (Pojman, 218). When analyzing whether to allow the Islamic employees the right to pray on break, utilitarians may argue that allowing Islamic employees, who only make up 20% of the factory population, the right to pray is a decision that focuses on the minority as opposed to what is best for the majority. Furthermore, there is evidence that allowing Islamic employees to take flexible breaks hinders the factory s productivity, which damages profits, and in turn, hurts not only the factory employees but also the shareholders in the company. Additionally, the issue is also forming tensions between the Islamic and non Islamic employees. For all these reasons, utilitarians could argue that it is better for the majority if Windham did not allow the Islamic workers to pray during work. However, this is an incomplete argument because it fails to account for the potential consequences. Should Windham choose to violate the agreement he has established with the Islamic workers, he runs the risk of being sued for violating his agreement with the Islamic employees. Furthermore, Windham risks external organizations becoming involved because he is violating the workers rights to practice their faith. Both of these ramifications would not only hurt his company because of negative publicity but would also hurt key stakeholders because ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. The Ottoman Empire Essay The Ottoman Empire Around 1293 the chieftain of a nomadic Turkish tribe named Osman, founded an empire that would endure almost six hundred years. As this empire grew by conquering lands of the Byzantine Empire and beyond, it came to include, at its height, all of Asia Minor, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Romania, Egypt, Crete, Cyprus, Palestine, and North Africa through Algeria; parts of Hungry, Austria, Russia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman, U.A.E., and Syria. They were brought up in the Janissary camp from about the age of 5. They were trained to be fearsome warriors, although some were trained to be administrators. Most of the Janissary soldiers were in the cavalry. The cavalry was one of the main keys to the Ottoman s many victories. The Janissary Corp s soldiers were paid with a regular salary now that the country was established and taxes were collected. Orhan s [son of Osman, the founder of the Ottoman Empire] capture of Bursa in 1324 provided the first means for developing the administrative, financial, and military power necessary to make this principality into a real state and create an army ( J. They were the most fearsome fighters to attack Europe since Gengis Khan s Golden Hordes. They fought like well trained animals. • 13. Sun Tzu Art Of War It was but a major coincidence that Sun Tzu s The Art of War came to existence at a similar timeline to the Greco Persian Wars. Granted, the exact date of the book s publication was unknown, according to History.com, historians believed that the book was present between the 4th or 5th century BC. Assuming that the estimated date was right, then it was remarkable how the tactics and strategy used in the first and second Persian invasions of Greece that took place from 499 BC to 449 BC, paralleled much of Sun Tzu s ideology and wisdom on warfare. If Sun Tzu somehow were to travel through space and time to observe the Greco Persian Wars as it happened, he would have been overwhelmed at the similarities between his principles and the tactics ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moreover, the Persian army demolished buildings, stole Greek treasure, and reduced the Athens to rubble when they seized the Greek city. That would have perhaps shocked Sun Tzu the most since he believed that in the practical art of war, the enemy s country should be left untouched (8). The rule was not to destroy the conquered cities if possible. (8). It was better to keep besieged cities intact as it would avoid the large cost of expenditure. Sun Tzu would have likely opposed much of the generalship shown by the Persians. The general needed a great variation of tactics and an understanding of the configuration of the country (30). Also, there were some major faults pointed in the Art of War that were exhibited by the Persian commanders such as recklessness and vulnerability (31, 32). This was apparent when Xerxes fled after the loss at Salamis. It showed the cowardice of the ruler and the breakdown of the invasion. In this regard, it was obvious that Sun Tzu would have condemned many of the Persian actions since it went against the readings of his book. The rulers and generals of the Persian kingdom made decisions that Sun Tzu would not have made. Also, in the Middle Ages, people were encouraged to always try their best; they were encouraged to strive for the highest achievement possible and to never give up. The Renaissance, however, was more focused on becoming matured and finding a way to be successful at everything one does. The Middle Ages was a time where people were more conserved with education and did not have the curiosities that fell upon those in the Renaissance. Curiosity of the human body and deeper knowledge about art and literature became two popular areas throughout the Renaissance. Leonardo daVinci drew beautiful pieces of art that depicted the natural and realistic human body and it s internal muscle and bone structures. The drawings of the human body by daVinci, show that he was not afraid to go the distance and have no limits as to how far he will push himself to understand the human body (Document 6). In addition, another evidential person who leads a reader towards making the inference that the Renaissance is a separate era from the Middle Ages, is Johannes Kepler. Johannes Kepler was an astronomer from Germany that made an observation about people in the Middle Ages that tend to follow and agree with everything the priests say. Johannes said that with the distinct knowledge of the Renaissance, people now had their own education and had the power to question what others said or thought (Document 7). We took the largest error from this one percent, which was +/ 3. The largest relative error this yielded was only 3%, so this did not affect how precise this experiment was too much. We can still make this more precise by making the masses of the water larger. For example if we started the masses at 300mL and went up by 50mL, the largest error this would yield would be 2% due to the largest error being +/ 5. This would cause smaller errors in the amount of water. The first observation made was that some of the pills were chipped. This would cause the mass of the pills to change which would cause unnecessary error. Waste glass as an aggregate in concrete designs like countertops would not only be a profitable creative application of waste glass, but also promotes its uses in producing an environmentally friendly product design. Concrete is one of the oldest and durable composite materials in building and construction engineering. Its importance cannot be overestimated. However, some of its traditional aggregates release a lot of carbon dioxide to the environment during production. • 33. Analysis Of Bartleby The Scrivener Herman Melville s, Bartleby, the Scrivener, tells the tale of Bartleby, the new scrivener at a lawyer s office on Wall Street. In an office of industrious, distressed workers who endlessly perform mundane tasks due to the orders of the lawyer, Bartleby forms a mystifying exception. Bartleby baffles his boss and colleagues by responding to requests with his famous line, I would prefer not to. His response demonstrates an unwillingness to work and a willingness to do what he truly desires, which is extremely unusual to both his colleagues and their society and creates a massive social divide between them. Due to the abandonment of those around him resulting from their growing frustration with his inactivity, Bartleby ultimately faces a swift ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Concerningly, the narrator expresses his contentment with the arrangement, stating, Their fits relieved each other like guards. When Nippers was on, Turkey s was off; and vice versa. This was a good natural arrangement under the circumstances. Rather than seeing the arrangement as detrimental to his working community and looking to find a solution, the narrator finds their behaviors are convenient and appropriate. His acceptance of his employees mental standing emphasizes how a focus on solely economic performance robbed him of true sympathy or care for his employees. Turkey and Nippers are led to neglect their work because their work environment and community neglect who they truly are. The narrator tried to help Turkey by buying him a highly respectable looking coat, but he admits I verily believe that buttoning himself up in so downy and blanket like a coat had a pernicious effect upon him; upon the same principle that too much oats are bad for horses. By offering him a material item, the narrator believes he can ease Turkey s problems. However, the action demonstrates the Narrator s inclination to believe material gain will fix a frayed relationship instead of actually showing he cares for Turkey s internal well being. Healthy communities have leaders with vested interests in such well being of those they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Air Force Disillusionment Theory The Air Force would be an organization that I have working in and one that I am familiar with. As an airplane mechanic there has to be all of the elements said in Jaffee s table from social structure, participants, goals, technology, and an environment where individuals can work in. To start off with social structure there is always a chain of command or in some cases depends on the rank an individual may have. As for me my rank is staff sergeant, so I oversee those who work in my shop, but it could be different depending on where my higher ups place me. As a staff sergeant in my shop I help and teach the new Airmen on their duties. In chapter ten of Images of Organization there was a metaphor described as insights that attract and that comes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I mean this would not work if there was not an authoritative figure or if everyone wanted to be that one powerful person. Going back to an Air Force example even we have to follow our chain of command. Those individuals who are E 1 to E 3 do not want to be stuck on those ranks forever and want to continue getting more stripes. The Air Force have somewhat like a mentor to keep persuading individuals to see, understand, and imagine their maximum potential to get to where they want to be. Decision making is a big deal in the Air Force, so those individuals who have the authoritative power know what they are about to do. When an individual is being promoted this person has to re adapt to the new workload and even new assignments. A promotion can mean a variety of different new things because if this individual has a higher rank than one of his friends he has to put that new stance of I have somewhat more authority than you; it is just one more of those adjustment that that individual has to do. Decision making is a big deal also because an individual for instance may want to help an airplane take off and he or she may not be one hundred percent trained, so that is when they have to use the knowledge they have gained and incorporate it into the job they are facing. (This can be for training purposes; we would not let someone who is not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Rin Year Pricing allow the owners of almost any RIN a larger amount of benefits, as they have more flexibility in regards to when and how they would like to trade their RIN if they see necessary. A lot of times there are blending companies that try to rig the system by blending less than the required amount. There are several reasons as to why. One of the main reasons that was a regular occurrence over recent years was the blenders reacting to the price of ethanol rising. Geographically the large increases have come from the west and East coasts. They are considerably higher than the cost for ethanol in the Midwest (where the majority of ethanol is produced); this is because of transportations costs. Another reason is that the west and east coasts have lower ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... RINs have forced companies to use different type of accounting methods. Accounting for RINs is different mainly because when errors occur in relation to accounting for RINs (which inevitably happens) the process of undoing the mistake is a lot more thorough. Let s say for example if a normal company had made a mistake with a delivery by delivery. In this case they would have given more merchandise to the company than that company had paid for. Usually by using basic accounting methods the distributor would simply let its customer know that they made an error on the purchase and it would be resolved by maybe a credit invoice. The reason that this scenario does not apply to RINs is because you are dealing with serial numbers as to money. This means that by each RIN having a specific number it makes the correction of mistake process a lot harder to correct. RINs have become that difficult to account for that the EPA decided to issue a guidance document, which states the improper and illegal trading practices for RINs. Because of these accounting problems companies have looked at ways to create little advantages for themselves, one way of doing this is by separating financial accounting RFS compliance systems. This allows companies to benefit from more efficient procedures as well as better internal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Essay on Karl Marx s Estranged Labor Karl Marx s Estranged Labor In Karl Marx s early writing on estranged labor there is a clear and prevailing focus on the plight of the laborer. Marx s writing on estranged labor is an attempt to draw a stark distinction between property owners and workers. In the writing Marx argues that the worker becomes estranged from his labor because he is not the recipient of the product he creates. As a result labor is objectified, that is labor becomes the object of mans existence. As labor is objectified man becomes disillusioned and enslaved. Marx argues that man becomes to be viewed as a commodity worth only the labor he creates and man is further reduced to a subsisting animal void of any capacity of freedom except the will to labor. For ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He argues that this situation is analogous to a man and his religion. Marx writes, The more man puts into God the less he retains in himself....The worker puts his life into the object, but now his life no longer belongs to him but to the object. The result of the worker belonging to the object is that he is enslaved. The worker belongs to something else and his actions are dictated by that thing. For Marx, labor turns man into a means. Workers become nothing more than the capital necessary to produce a product. Labor for Marx reduces man to a means of production. As a means of production man is diminished to a subsisting enslaved creature void of his true nature. In this condition he is reduced to the most detrimental state of man: one in which he is estranged from himself. To help expand on this theme it is useful to look at Marx s allegory of man s life activity. Of the variety of reasons Marx argues man is estranged from his labor, probably the most significant is his belief that labor estranges man from himself. Marx argues that the labor the worker produces does not belong to the worker so in essence the worker does not belong to the worker. By virtue of this condition Marx argues the worker is enslaved. Enslavement for Marx is a condition alien to man and he becomes estranged from himself. For Marx, man estranged from himself is stripped of his very nature. Not only because ...
