Madness And Madness In William Shakespeare s Twelfth
Night
During every era of literature, madness is used as a device to help move the plot
along, whether it is in ancient writing, William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night, or
Young Adult Novels such as Alice in Wonderland or Percy Jackson and the
Olympians. There are many things that could drive a person to madness but if they
try and stop the madness by seeking the help they can combat it rather than falling
into a dark state of mind that is complete insanity. Most people choose to receive help
to defeat their madness. Throughout ancient history, many gods and goddesses are
portrayed with a title such as ZeusKing of the Gods or Aphrodite is the Goddess of
Beauty and Love, well many people think that Dionysus is just the God of Wine, he
is much more than Pleasure and Wine, he is the god of Madness and Frenzy,
throughout ancient literature there have been different stories of Dionysus and his
followers. In 2003, Edith... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Synthesis of Mdma
INTRODUCTION:
All information here is to be used at your own risk. The procedures documented in
this file, if carried out by unlicensed individuals would violate laws against controlled
substances in most countries and could result in criminal charges being filed. If
carried out by individuals unskilled at chemistry they could result in serious bodily
harm.
MDMA ( Ecstasy ) is a semi synthetic compound which can be made relatively
easily from available precursors. Synthesis instructions exist which can be followed
by an amateur with very little knowledge of chemistry. However, people with less
than 2 years of college chemistry experience would probably not be capable of
sucessfully synthesizing MDMA, and would either botch it in the best ... Show more

The Leukart reaction is 2 step with lower yields and requires chemical apparatus.
There are also two synthetic methods which proceed directly from safrole rather
than through isosafrole. The first is the Ritter reaction which goes through the
intermediate N acetyl MDA. The Ritter reaction is time consuming, requires a
degree of laboratory skill and produces poor yields. The other method uses HBr to
produce 3,4 methylenedioxyphenyl 2 bromopropane which is then converted into
MDA or MDMA. This scheme produces poor yields, and Dal Cason referenced the
australian journal _ANALOG_ where a hazard had been documented. It is, however,
attractive for its sheer simplicity. It requires no specialized chem equipment or
reagents at all.
Beta nitroisosafrole is a less used precursor, but there is a large literature on the
synthesis and reduction of nitro alkenes. This synthetic route isn t as popular due
to the easier availability of precursors for MDP 2 P, and it also results in MDA which
must then be further processed to give MDMA or any other N alkyl homolog of
MDA. There are numerous ways to convert beta nitroisosafrole to MDA: LiAlH4,
AlH3, electrolytic, Na(Hg), BH3 THF / NaBH4, Raney Ni catalyst, Pd / BaSO4
catalyst, Zn (Hg). Beta nitroisosafrole, when used, is commonly synthesized from
piperonal. Beta nitroisosafrole can also be used as a precursor for MDP 2 P, but this
is not commonly done.
There are other synthetic routes, such as

Comparing the Narrative and Formal Devices of ChungKing Express and A Bout de
Souffle
Wong Kar Wai s movie ChungKing Express bears many similarities to Godard s A
Bout de Souffle . To start with, Wai employs a number of cinematic techniques,
obviously derived from the French New Wave, such as for example the jump cut
which is evidently taken from Godard s film. His use of the Godard ian jump cut
seamlessly blends temporally exclusive scenes together, making the passage of time
unnoticeable. Other Godard ian touches include the many shots of clocks, which
remind the viewer that despite the protagonist s fixation on the past, time continues to
move on and that moments in the present are ... Show more content on

She wears the same type of cloths, has the same hair do and her rather eccentric
attitude to life also corresponds to that of her French counterpart.
The primary function of the traditional Hong Kong film industry was to churn out
movies aimed at the general public and make sure that they bring in a profit. This is
much like the French film industry was before the emergence of the French New
Wave. However Wai s ChungKing Expresswas clearly not aimed at the masses, but
rather only at the people who have developed a real understanding and appreciation
for the art of film. Godard s A Bout de Souffle was also a film which was made to
rebel against the old style of French cinema and break the conventions of the film
industry. In this way, both of the film directors have something in common with each
other.
Much of Wai s work has included themes of time passing and how every human
emotion, every material object or specifically tinned food expires. This reoccurring
matter isn t simply an accident but it carries a very significant political message. At
the time that Wai made ChungKing Express , Hong Kong was pending to be handed
over from the British democratic powers, to the Chinese communist government.
This period was very turbulent for the Hong Kong people as they were in
anticipation of a great change, but they didn t know whether it would be negative or
positive.
Analysis Of Riverbank Filteration In India
Sandhu et al.,(2011)worked on potential of riverbank filteration in India and found
that the abstracted water from all the RBF wells in Haridwar only requires
disinfection by chlorination, and provides safe drinking water even when facing high
variations in water demand (such as during the Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh Melas) and
during monsoons.
Tyagi et al.,(2013) Studied River Water Quality Using River Bank Filtration in

monitoring and quality checks to meet water scarcity and providing proper water

Relationship Between Information Management And
Knowledge...
1. Introduction
In today s high competitive business world, success is dependent on how efficiently
and effectively an organization can develop and utilize its information and knowledge
resources(Carlsson etc, 2002). Therefore, there are many dispute on information and
knowledge management. The purpose of this essay is to discuss the relationship
between Information management(IM) and knowledge management(KM), then
argument about whether KM is important for an organization. In order to make sure
essay have a clear structure, this essay main divided into four parts (from Part 2 to
Part5 ): Part 2 will introduce what is IM and KM, the benefits of IM and KM, the
relationships amongst data, information and knowledge, and then this paper will
introduce the relationship between IM and KM; Part 3 will analysis case study of
good knowledge management in Xerox company; Part 4 will analysis case study of
bad knowledge management in NASA; Part 5, this essay will give an argument result
to you in conclusion.
2.1What is Information Management?
Information Management (IM) is a broad conceptual term that has a different
meanings and interpretations among different constituencies. There are major three
definitions of IM are as follow:

Arabella Case Summary
Good afternoon,
Our office was contacted by Kristina Whinery (317314) regarding concerns that she
has been left in the dark about the out of state visitation plan for her daughter,
Arabella. Ms. Whinery indicated her frustration and belief that she has been ignored
about Arabella being able to come visit her, even though it has been something the
agency has indicated would potentially occur for some time now. Especially since the
last time the two saw each other was approximately three months ago.
In my inquiry of OR Kids I noticed there is a case note from 7/28 that indicates,
consulted with caretaker regarding process to authorize child s travel out of state.

means the contact was attempted. I inquired of Ms. Whinery if she received a
voice mail or letter from the agency about this issue and she indicated to our office
that the last time she spoke with Valentine was on 7/28. Her perspective from the
previous contact was that Valentine would be checking into the agency paying for a
plane ticket for Arabella, but that if this was not possible Ms. Whinery was willing
to take on the cost herself. As our office was unable to verify any other contact or
current plans for the visitation we advised Ms. Whinery that we would make contact

Racism And The Cycle Of Socialization Model
Just as the core concept in racism is rooted in dominance, my mother was her parent s
subordinate increasingly overpowered. And the product was, that I became my
mother s subordinate overpowered by this concept of any skin color that was
different than white was not worthy. As a result of utilitarian function, this
dissonance confined within me concerning racism, has never been confronted until
taking this racism and oppression course. I have always been discreetly sensitive
concerning any racial topic. Learning of the cycle of socialization model and the
mote beam mechanism was a groundbreaking illumination to me of how I was born
into this social identity and yet how I could interrupt the cycle. Through first
socialization, my motherinfected
Germination Of The Groom Bag And Dining Room Bags
My Hypothesis is that that the outside bag of seeds will germinate faster than the
seeds placed in my garage and dining room I think this because it is a natural
environment in direct sunlight. Materials and methods
I used 3 plastic zip lock bag, 3 paper towels, 30 seeds, and black marker. I wet each
paper towel then folded and put into each bag then placed 10 each seeds in a row
in 3 separate plastic bags and sealed shut. I then wrote in black marker the location
of each bag and placed them in that area.
Results
Appears that the beans in the dining room bag had the most germination and growth
followed by my garage and the outside bag having the least amount of germination to
none at all.
Discussion
My hypothesis where wrong, I assumed that the outside bag would have germinated
with the best results being in direct sunlight and outside air. I believe that the low
temperature outside had a big part in playing with my results, maybe if the
experiment was done during the summer months I would have had different results. ...

The outside porch which was the coldest yielded the worst results for seed
germination. The dining room which was my control gave consistent results and by
far the most growth. And lastly the garage which provided no light and varied
temperature provided the best results. This I believe is based on it being winter
months outside and the temperature affected the outside seeds from

It begins at the base of the heart s right ventricle and is approximately 3 cm in
diameter and 5 cm in length (Yahoo Health, 2012). It then splits into the left and right
pulmonary arteries. The right pulmonary artery delivers oxygen depleted blood to the
right lung. From the right pulmonary artery I have made it to the right lung. Once in
the lung I will travel South West to reach the lower lobe of the right lung.
I m finally in the lung. I can finally see what it looks like. I see a structure that
looks like a three without leaves. I am passing the right primary bronchi. It is a
tube like structure that allow for the passage of air between the trachea and lung
(Health Type, 2012). As I move along the right primary bronchi branches off into
the right secondary bronchi. Each one of the bronchi serves as an airway to a
specific lobe of the lung (Wikipedia, 2011). The bronchi have cartilage plates,
smooth muscles, and mucus secreting gland cells in its wall (Wikipedia, 2011).
They contain cilia, which removes dust and debris. Wow! The right secondary
bronchi are branching off into very small passageways called bronchioles. The
bronchioles are responsible for controlling air distribution and airflow resistance in
the lungs (Wise Geek, 2012). They also contain cilia that help move air through the
system. The bronchioles are now terminating at the alveolar ducts. They are the tiny
end ducts that fill the lungs. At the end of
Essay on The Bill of Rights
The Bill of Rights is a list of limitations on the power of the government. Firstly, the
Bill of Rights is successful in assuring the adoption of the Constitution. Secondly, the
Bill of Rights did not address every foreseeable situation. Thirdly, the Bill of Rights
has assured the safety of the people of the nation. Successes, failures, and
consequences are what made the Bill of Rights what they are today. Firstly, the Bill
of Rights has guaranteed the adoption of the Constitution. James Madison proposed
the Bill of Rights to the First Federal Congress on June 8, 1789 (Primary Documents

constitution to the state legislatures (Constitutional Politics in Ohio 1). The... Show

An agreement was finally made to create the Bill of Rights to help secure
ratification of the Constitution itself. Secondly, the Bill of Rights did not address
every foreseeable situation. One failure of the Bill of Rights was the first amendment
of the original Bill of Rights. The amendment concerned the number of constituents
for each Representative and was never ratified. It said that once the House has one
hundred members, it should not go below one hundred, and once it reached two
hundred, it should not go below two hundred (Mount 1). Another failure was The
Anti Title Amendment. This amendment said that any citizen who accepted or
received any title of nobility from a foreign power, or who accepted without the
consent of Congress any gift from a foreign power, by would no longer be a citizen
(Mount 1). Basically, this said that if someone received or accepted something from a
foreign power, that person would no longer be a citizen. The Anti Title Amendment
was submitted to the States in 1810 and was ratified by only twelve states, the last
being in 1812 (Mount 1). Thirty eight states are required to ratify to add an
amendment. The Slavery Amendment was another failure of the Bill of Rights. This
amendment was not ratified because the House did not want any amendment to be
made to the Constitution which would authorize or give to Congress the power to
abolish or interfere, within any state, with the domestic institutions thereof, including
that of
Impact of Canadian Medicine in Canada
Although Canada has always been considered a small country, its achievements in
medicine are far from small. They have greatly benefited Canada and improved the
country s way of life. In fact, Canadian physician Dr. Frederick Banting discovered
insulin to treat diabetes. Also, Michael smith developed site directed mutagenesis to
alter and identify genes. Lastly, doctors at Toronto Hospital For Sick Children
produced Pablum to treat rickets. These notable breakthroughs in Canadian medicine
have positively impacted Canadian life.
First and foremost, Dr. Frederick Banting was able to isolate insulin and use it to
treat the metabolic disorder diabetes which has benefited Canada. As a result,
numerous individuals have been able to receive treatment which has reduced the
number of deaths. This decrease in mortalities has also lowered the number of
debilitating conditions resulting from diabetes. In fact, the mortality rate for
diabetes over the past forty five years has dropped by over fifty percent (Center for
Disease Control and Prevention). This decrease clearly indicates that the death rates
for diabetes is gradually declining. This trend can be followed from the time insulin
was discovered and has increased the prognosis and quality of life for many people.
In addition, the number of diabetes cases in Canada has risen by almost thirty percent
over the past twenty years (Public Health Agency of Canada 2). Although, the number
of people living with diabetes is significantly
Comparing Socrates And Li Po-Tu Fu

examine how Crito s proposal goes against Socrates s teaching that the unexamined
life is not worth living.
Crito was a long time trusted friend of Socrates; an Athenian man who was highly
devoted to his ethical teachings. He spent the last day of Socrates s life beside him in
the prison, attempting to persuade him to free himself despite the lawful punishment
being inflicted upon him. Crito passionately exhorts Socrates, although his pleas are

It was Li Po that had failed, but gained a admittance into the Han Lin academy
through the direct recommendation of the emperor himself; although this was
unusual, it was not unheard of as the emperor would place those who found his favor
in the academy. Tu Fu set his aim on a similar goal; after another failed attempt at the
imperial examination, he began to petition the officials, and was appointed to the
registrar of the right commandant s office. He had passed into a highly respectable
position without even attending the academy, and twice failing mandatory exams.
Although Tu Fu was appointed to the registrar, the rise of the An Lushan rebellion
disrupted his occupancy in the institution, as well as the social atmosphere in China.
He eventually resumed official position eight years later. These two instances are
somewhat unique, as both of these men essentially snuck into these positions through
the back door. Neither of them were able to successfully accomplish the official
entrance exam, but they were relentless in their pursuit of the position. Somehow, the
emperor found favor in Li Po, and the registrar found favor in the effort of
Justin Bieber is a Bad Role Model Essay

mischievous actions. Unfortunately, unlike most children, Justin Bieber has to
answer to more than just his parents. He has to explain his actions to his agent,
public relations representative, and his adoring fans. Rather than accept the fault for
his indiscretions, Bieber uses diversionary tactics and repeatedly explains that he is

claimed he was given permission from City Hall, then he fled to Paraguay to avoid

deliberately chose to deface.
The Los Angeles Times reported that in January of 2014, Justin was once again in
hot water with the police, as allegations were made that Justin egged his neighbor s
Calabasas mansion and caused upwards of $20,000 in property damage. Police
raided Justin s California mansion hoping to find surveillance video that would
confirm that the allegations were true (Winton Justin Bieber Egging Case ). The
investigation is still underway. Although Justin has yet to publicly comment on the
matter, friends of the pop star have said that Justin feels misunderstood, and he
really is a nice guy; he blames the media for making him seem like a bad guy.
Blaming the media instead of taking responsibility is a diversionary tactic Bieber
knows all too well. He has become quite the expert in avoiding issues and/or running

Major Factors Determining Organizational Performance
And...
Organizational commitment is one of the constructs that has retained its importance
throughout decades and, despite the extensive research done in the field, still draws a
high level of attention due to its association with such preferred work attitudes as
increased job satisfaction, higher performance, lower absenteeism and turnover
intentions (Yousef, 2000). It has been generally recognized that organizational
commitment is one of the major factors determining organizational performance and
effectiveness (Lok Crawford, 1999, 2004). In addition, as observed by Allen and
Meyer (1990), a common link discussed in all conceptualizations of commitment is
the one between organizational commitment and turnover, indicating that employees

Dealing with avoidant employees, who are affecting the productivity and the entire
working condition of the organization is to be given priority. The intervening method
employed, whether it is inquisition, arbitration or mediation, should be the one that
best suits the organizations objectives and to resolve the tension created by the
avoidant employees. Unbiased third parties are more effective because they are used
for the management techniques that have the most potential to resolve conflicts. Bias
is inversely related to the range of issues addressed at a settlement effort. Mediation
is the strategy that s the most empowering for the parties in conflict. The role of third
party in conflict management is directed towards the actors in conflict to realize their
own interests when various problems threaten or disrupt their own bargaining
relationship (Young 1967). Third parties are useful in the process of conflict resolution
, especially in work aversion employees where a thorough study about the background
of both employees and organization is needed. The third party can make positive and
direct contributions by focusing the parties on a termination agreement, providing
agenda or /and manipulating the timing of negotiation process.
In 1967, Pondy formulated a process model of conflict which is very helpful in

The European Slave Trade And Intra African Slavery
The European slave trade and intra African slavery began with different intentions
and goals held in mind. Although, they also shared similar aspects and ideals
shown through how they functioned and were run. Intra African slavery began
before the European slave trade came to exist; this unpopular fact shows the
beginning of such a gruesome and detrimental act began by the people of Africa,
which, later in time, is what fuels and strengthens the European slave trade. African
slaves were once captured by tribes of Africa, then working for and obeying
whomever owned them. Though, they only had to serve as a slave for a given
amount of time, usually only a couple years, and were then able to return home to
their tribe and family to live a normal life. They were to enter under the manumission
contract which allowed the enslaved to work until his or her can pay for their
freedom, usually an agreed amount between them and their owner. This function of
slaverywas due to Africa and its people only using/ seeing slavery as a temporary
solution in order to build their economy and villages/cities. This is one of the main
differences between the European and intra African slave trade, which set them
greatly apart. The Europeans saw slavery and slaves as a permanent way of life for
them, to live a long hard life of servitude, making the most of their money and the
slaves always being in debt to them. Each trade, the trans Atlantic and trans Saharan,
worked differently and were

The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ Essay
The religion Christianity is grounded through the wisdom and miracles of Jesus
Christ. Many may call him Jesus or Christ but in actuality Jesus is Christ which
means anointed one. Jesus Christ was no average person, he is the God the Father
who came to this world and fulfilled the Old Testament laws and prophecies, died
on the cross, and rose from the dead physically. As savior that came on earth to
restore his people he performed many miracles which were recorded in the
Gospels by the eyewitnesses. Jesus Christ is the divine in nature as well as human.
Thus, he has two natures and is worthy of worship and prayer. Christianity teaches
that there is only one God in all existence. Although philosophies have tried to
prove otherwise the reality is that God made the universe, the Earth, and created
man starting with Adam and Eve. According to Genesis 1:27 it states that So God
created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and
female he created them . Image means the likeness of God s character, rationality,
etc. Since we are made in the image of God, every person has an opportunity to be
more like him less like sinful ways of the world. Another aspect that Christianity
teaches is that God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, not three Gods).
Although the trinity is a subject that is very controversial however, in the Christian
faith is essential foundation of it faith. In the trinity Jesus Christ is the second person.

Rhetorical Analysis Of The ASPCA Commercial By Sarah...
The commercial by ASPCA has one message, and that is to protect and better the
condition of life for national, farm, and wild animals. ASPCA is a non profit
organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals. They have a mission, that is
to rescue, save and help animals all around North America because there are way too
many cases of animal cruelty and neglect. Sarah McLachlanmakes an argument about
animals being abused and neglected, and how we can change that by a mere donation.
This argument persuades the audience with the small videos and pictures in the
background showing sad, hurt, and neglected animals that need a home with owners
who will love and take care of them. The commercial is very persuasive in many
aspects. Throughout
Summary Of Lucinda Matlock By Lgar Lee Masters
Living Life to The Fullest Life is all about what you make of it and how you go
about your day. People today take for granted for what they have because they do
not know what to do with their worth. How you look at the small things that mean
the most is ultimately the way to happiness. That is not saying that life is going to
throw challenges your way, it is how you face them and fight back. In the poem
Lucinda Matlock, Edgar Lee Mastersuses imagery, repetition, and word choice to
reveal that while life may be difficult at times that does not mean that it can not be
full of joy and love. Living life to the fullest and finding the good out of something
no matter how hard it may seem, is the key to the process. Throughout the entire
poem, imagery is one of the literary devices that Masters mainly uses. Imagery is
defined as a, Language that speaks to the senses. Most often, poetic images appeal
to sight, but they can appeal to hearing, touch, smell, and taste, as well (Handout).
Imagery creates an image in your head of what the author is trying to explain, such
as what Matlock loves, displayed in the quote: ...I spun, I wove, I kept the house, I
nursed the sick, I made the garden, and for the holiday Rambled over the fields
where they sang the larks, And by Spoon River gathering many a shell,
And many a flower and medicinal weed
Shouting to the wooded hills, singing to the green valleys. (10 15).

The Farming Of Bones And The Brief Wondrous Life Of
Oscar Wao
Past history reveals the various tragedies of many lives lost while under the rule of
the dictator, Trujillo. The Farming of Bones and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar
Wao were two different stories of innocent characters who lived and were affected
during Trujillo s reign. These stories targeted the central problems that the characters
went through and the amount of impact it caused them through this cruel leadership.
During that time, many were oppressed and were forced to cope with the life style
that Trujillo created. Oppression played a significant role in the characters because
it led to a loss of identity; however, the two stories shared the various characters
power of hope, belief, and silence as a means of reconstructing... Show more content

Not only just for these two characters, other minor characters were able to cope
with their loss of identity through different mechanisms. Hope is a reassuring
feeling reflected in both Amabelle and Oscar. Regardless of how oppressed and
different they were, they were able to have hope, knowing that it would be a strong
foundation to live on. Amabelle rebuilt her identity through hope by remembering
her past. Her memories acted as a resistance against oppression and remained
strong and faithful. She stated, for so long, this had been my life, but it was all the
past. Now we all had to try and find the future (Danticat, 184). Even though she was
going through so much, she remained optimistic. She shifted her attention towards
water, a tangible object and remembrance of her past, which to her, represented
Heaven my heaven is the veil of water that stands between my parents and me. To
step across it, and then come out is what makes me feel alive (Danticat, 264).
Rather than seeing water as a destructive force that took away her parents,
Amabelle was able to acknowledge and embrace it. Throughout the novel,
Amabelle was able to divert from sulking in oppression and be hopeful for the
future in order for her to fully accept and move on. Oscar s hope was more evident
towards the end of the novel. Oscar was able to finally develop some sort of
romantic relationship with a girl named Ybon. Although he was beaten and warned
This is England
This Is England
While watching the movie This is England as the other , I was able to experience a
culture that was socially, culturally, politically, and ethically different from that of my
own. It was interesting to see a story unfold through the perspective of a young boy
named Shaun. The director showed Shaun s experiences dealing with serious issues
England was facing at the time such as racism, gangs, immigration, and
unemployment. Losing his father at an early age, Shaun lacked an older figure to
guide him towards the right path which ultimately causes him to join a gang called
the Skinheads. Based on the movie, gangs seem to be one of the major problems
within England s social economic political system. At first the gang Shaun ... Show

Of course, if one grew up in England and was raised to believe that whites were
superior to all races then that would be the social norm. If one was born in America,
he or she would grow up to believe that all humans were created equal no matter what
race you were. This is evident through the perspective of the main character of the
movie. Shaun grew up without a father figure to teach him about ethics and
morals. Shaun becomes more attracted towards Combo s strong character as the
movie progresses. Consequently, Combo eventually brainwashes the young boy
and made him believe that everyone in England who was not white caused a major
problem in society. However, I strongly believe that racism only causes more
problems. Living in America the land of equal opportunity for all twenty one years
of my life I have never experienced any major problems just because whites and
other minorities settled and lived in the same area. Everyone was created equal no
matter where you came from. Although I may find it particularly odd to see another

It took being removed from a leadership position for me to start using these
leadership tools to achieve my philosophy of leadership: mission accomplishment.
The benefits that I obtain from these tools are directly proportionate to the effort
that I, as a leader, put forth. This leads me to the next and last characteristic I use in
my leadership style, being a consistent leader. I achieve this by issuing clear
policies and keeping my Marines well informed. This avoids confusion among my
Marines, and allows them to plan and complete tasks on time. In addition, I
provide them clear directions so they can accomplish any mission. Combine that
with my unrelenting work ethics and ability to give clear, concise orders as well
as to set realistic but challenging goals concerning the mission and physical

The familyis very middle class oriented as far as the home, clothing, and jobs of the
characters go. They live in the suburbs and are never too hurt for money. Playing into
this story also comes the subtle humor and remarks at sexual acts that happen very
often throughout each scene. However, you never actually see these sexual acts take

The resolution comes when the drama is settled and all family members are satisfied
with the solution. In direct correlation with the text that states, the action is set in
motion when minor conflict situations flare up and heightened verbally through
deceit or insults, Everybody Loves Raymond is a prime example of a comedy
formula (Potter, 205).
The patterns of Everybody Loves Raymond are ultimately formulaic for the 90 s.
Families are nucleic and typical of the 90 s middle class working white population.
There is a mom who stays at home and does all of the house work and takes care of
the kids, while the father is aloof of all of the housework and children but works
most of the day and is the sole source of income. Both parents are alive and a
constant source of conflict as they (especially the grandmother and mother, as women
are often portrayed as catty) are present and cause embarrassment. The children are
hardly the center of attention at all plot wise. Most plots are surrounding the conflict
between family members, especially disagreements between the husband and wife
and between the mother in law and the wife. There are rarely any African Americans,

population, even back when the show was being made. Other ethnicity are hardly ever

Ellis came up with Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) which is based on
the theory people are not distraught by things but the way they review things. One
focal point of REBT is people difficulties are due to faulty dysfunctional and
irrational beliefs (Murdock, 2013).
The Cognitive Therapy (CT) approach confronts dysfunctional emotion, cognitive
processes, and behaviors. CT and REBT are a collaboration of methods from
cognitive therapy and behavior therapy to help teach the client how to correct her
distorted thinking and perception of herself, others and external events (Murdock,
2013).
The theory CT developed by Ellis and Beck focuses on the idea that people s
viewpoints and illogical way of thinking have an influence on their thoughts and
associations. A person may be fixated with their problem and circumstances; as well
as troubled by them because the way they think and feel. Rational emotive behavior
therapy (REBT) targets both thoughts and behaviors in the recommended treatment
options to aid in bringing change to one s cognitive patterns, behavior, and emotional
state (Murdock, 2013).
REBT, psychosomatic problems are explained the (Murdock, 2013) ABC model of

Herbal Supplements And Its Effects On Health Conditions
Since the early 1990 s there has been an increasing trend in the US population using
herbal supplements as a means to help prevent or treat health conditions. The industry
has grown from 7,000 products in 1994 to a staggering 75,000 in 2008.1 The herbal
supplement industry, specifically those containing botanical ingredients, took in
nearly 5 billion dollars in revenue in 2012.2 More than half of the population reports
using some type of herbal supplement, and more than 20 percent report using
supplements with botanical ingredients. It is these botanical ingredients that are often
unstudied, falsely labeled and unreported by patients to their healthcare providers.3
The FDA is overwhelmed with supplement feedback and concerns, but removing
supplements from the market is no easy task as the FDA must demonstrate
significant risk. Consider the case of ephedra weight loss products; linked to
hundreds of casualties and other morbitities, it still required more than 10 years to
remove from the market.4
The Users Often the socially held idea of someone using herbal supplements is either
the muscled fitness devotee or the earth sensitive hippy weary of medical science.
This is both inaccurate and a dangerous stereotype that anesthesia clinicians should be
careful not to believe. In truth the average herbal supplement user is between 40 to
60 years old and a higher prevalence of female gender.7 Though do not be deceived
by those generalizations, as the gamut of daily users

== Direct meaning an injury caused by a direct force or blow to the body.

== Overuse meaning excessive or repetitive force exerted on the bones or other
connective tissues.
After classifying weather the injury was direct, indirect or overused, it must then be
classified into:
== Hard Tissue meaning those injuries involving damage to the bones of the skeleton.
This ranges from fractures to dislocations.
== Soft Tissue meaning those injuries that involve the soft connective tissues of the

physically mobilise the joint. This would ensure that I would be able to identify and
painful areas of instability of the joint. I would use a range of movements to test for
this, including flexion, extension and rotation.
== SKILLS TEST in the final phase of TOTAPS I would get the player to preform
a series of skills that will enable me to ensure they are physically fine. In this
instance I would get the player to do some dodging and sudden change of direction,
movements that are involved in a game of netball. Once the skills have been
examined and to my satisfaction, I would allow the player to return for the game.

Geological Structures Within The Earth
Geology Geological structures within the earth can determine a multitude of variables
when determining such things as formations, permeability, porosity, lithology,
mineralogy, saturation and normal/abnormal/subnormal pressure which in turn can
provide the necessary information for reservoir pay zones. The foundation for
hydrocarbons is based off of the organic theory which states that the hydrocarbons
formed through an anaerobic environment (lacking oxygen) over time with high
pressures and relatively low temperatures (300В°F 392В°F) with carbon based
materials such as algae. The basis for algae is the fact that the ocean contained
around 95% of plankton in the ocean and reservoirs for hydrocarbons are found in
sediments made up of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Petroleum engineers deal only with sedimentary basin rocks in oil and gas drilling,
and these sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition of
material at the Earth s surface and within bodies of water. Permeability in these
rock is a measure of the ease with which fluid flows through a porous rock, and is a
function of the degree of interconnection between the pores. Permeability can be
separated into three parts: absolute, effective, and relative. Absolute is when pore
spaces are 100% saturated with the same fluid, effective is when the permeability
of a flowing phase that does not saturate 100% of the rock, and relative which is
the ratio of effective permeability to absolute permeability of the same rock. When
permeability is low the degree at which fluids can flow through the rock is low and
therefore not a good means of producing hydrocarbons. Even if a reservoir has a
high saturation, a low permeable rock will have no means of obtaining the porous
medium. However this is not the only cause with saturations of rock. The irreducible
water saturation also plays a part in the production of hydrocarbons. This is when
water is held against the rock grains by surface tension and cannot be produced which
is determined by grain structure, i.e. size and mixture. Normal pressure below the
earth has a linear relationship with temperature and depth, i.e. as depth increases the
temperature and pressure increases, however

Sinners In The Hands Of An Angry God Analysis
Puritan Test Question #4 Looking to help revive Puritanism, John Edwards
became a traveling minuter giving intense, hellfire sermons. Through the powerful
and relatable use of imagery, Edwards invoked fear and guilt from his audience in
Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God . Many of Edwards s imageries compared
God s wrath to nature and animals like snakes as a way to invoke fear. He claims
that you are ten thousand times more abominable in his eye than the most hateful
venomous serpent is in ours... (56) Most humans naturally feel disgust and hate for
venomous serpents. With this rational fear and disgust, the audience is able to
switch roles with the snakes and experience the wrath people will have on them as
a snake. As a result, people would feel somewhat guilty because no one wants to be
in a position where God or normal people show great hatred and no remorse
towards you. Sinners want to be accepted in society or at least be free from their
sins, they do not want to be shunned or judged by their bad decisions.... Show more

Fire becomes a symbol of God s wrath and hell in this sermon. At one point,
Edwards says, his wrath towards you burns like fire; he looks upon you as worthy
of nothing else but to be cast into the fire. (57) No one wants to burn in hell and be
seen as nothing but kindling in God s eyes because of the sins they have committed.
As a sinful person in the audience, it is scary to imagine that they have stirred up
God so much so that his wrath burns like fire. Fire itself is something to be fearful
of, but combine that with God s wrath, it would urge many to join Puritanism to seek

Comparing Shakespeare To Modern America

America is that the actors were often descriminated against and they were
unlawfully treated as we learn from the article Actors in Shakespeares day that
they were called vagabonds and punished by being arrested and/or imprisoned
which was unlawful as no crime was committed. In the article Not of an age but for

Hebrew God Vs Sumerian God
Sumerian gods and the Hebrew s god were part of everyday people s lives. These
gods influenced people s decisions. The Sumerian worked to please their gods, and
the Hebrews view of their god was based on faith and obedience. The Sumerian
gods, as well as the Hebrew s god, were powerful. For instance, they could create
and destroy life, but these gods cared about their people as well. While the Hebrews
had a covenant between them and their god, that could not be broken if they wanted
to prosper, the Sumerian had the Code of Ur Nammu. This code was the will of the
gods and was administered by the state (Joshua J., 2014).The Hebrew s god was also
severe, strict and righteous. Breaking a clause of the covenant would result in facing
the anger of god.
The polytheistic religion of the Sumerian contrasted with the monotheistic religion of
the Hebrews. The people of Sumeria worshipped thousands of gods, and each city
state adopted a god as their protector (Hunt, Martin, Rosenwein Smith, 2013, p.10).
Moreover, the Sumerian built ziggurats, a temple tower, to please their gods (Hunt,...

The gods of both religions had control over all the different aspects of life such as
weather, fertility, and war (Hunt, Martin, Rosenwein Smith, 2013, p.10). For
instance, in the Book of Genesis 17:16 19, the Hebrew s god says to Abraham that
he is going to bless his wife, who is ninety years old, and he is going to give him a
son by her. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Sumerian god Aruru creates Enkidu to
destroy Gilgamesh (p. 3). Another aspect of the Sumerian religion is the god like
attributes of the Sumerian kings. This is reflected at the beginning of the Epic of
Gilgamesh: Anu granted him the totality of knowledge of all. He saw the Secret,
discovered the Hidden (p. 1). In the Hebrews religion, only god knows everything,
and he is universal and omnipresent. There is no one in the world more powerful than

side of things, look a little deeper. In me, I see a beautifully multi colored sidewalk,
different abstract and variant stone pieces coming together to form one whole slab
of an artfully designed path. Those pieces are the beautiful people in my life that
make me who I am. This sidewalk that you ve imagined relates to me in more ways
than one. But the most distinctive characteristic of it, is the polychromatic pieces of
this sidewalk. In my life I have encountered the most extraordinary people that exist
on this earth. They have laughed with me, cried with me, stuck with me through the
highs, and through the lows. They were there when no one else was, when I felt
like giving up. They invited me with welcoming arms into their family, and treated
me like their own, like their son, brother, and cousin. They are my bestfriends, and I
would do anything for these people, even give my life. Nothing can replace my love
and devotion to them. There have also been people in my life that have done close
to nothing for me, bystanders if you will. These aren t necessarily bad
Quality And Safe Product Approval System
1. Objective
To undertake a critical review of the current product check and release processes to
ensure a robust, high quality and safe product approval system is in place to
safeguard patient safety and to ensure compliance with standards and
recommendations.
2. Background
The aseptic preparation of products at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS
Foundation Trust (NLAG) is carried out in an unlicensed unit under Section 10
exemption of the Medicines Act 1968. (1) It requires that the preparation is done by
or under the supervision of a Pharmacist, who takes full responsibility for the quality
of the product.
Until recently, in unlicensed units working under Section 10 exemption, even if the
final checks were carried out by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It provides a proposed product approval/Pharmacist supervision model that has been
attached in Appendix 1.
Final product accuracy check and release at NLAG is undertaken by the Authorised
Pharmacist (usually band 7 or above). The Authorised Pharmacist also undertakes the
clinical checks/screening of the prescriptions. It has been discussed that undertaking
these checks by different pharmacists will add an extra safety check in the process
and there is a plan for separation of these roles in the near future. The plan is to have
a Clinical Pharmacist undertaking the clinical checks in the clinical area and an
Authorised Pharmacist in the Aseptic Unit undertaking the product check and
approval (release). Another proposal has been suggested following this analysis.
There are some concerns regarding separation of the roles as the staff who may be
involved in approving products (band 6 pharmacists) have a lack of knowledge and
skills in aseptics. There is also a need for cost effective working and flexibility
within the service, including appropriate skill mix. This all emphasises a requirement
for this critical analysis to ensure that a robust product check and release is
undertaken.
Although errors in the preparation of injectable medicines within pharmacy aseptic
environments are not very
Drug Testing Welfare Recipients
In 2010, 17.5% of unemployed adults collecting some sort of welfare failed drug
tests. In 2011, 23.8% of welfare recipients admitted to using illegal drugs, including
marijuana. The problem the United States if facing is that welfare recipients are
using the cash they are given to purchase illegal drugs. Many of these people
purchasing illegal drugs had prior illegal drug abuseproblems and some of these
people believe that since they are given this free money, they can continue on with
these addictions instead of finding the help they need to get back onto their own
two feet. Many employers ask all of their job applicants for a drug test to even be
considered for the job, so why shouldn t the government ask the same for people

Arizona was the first state to establish a temporary requirement for the fiscal year
of 2011 2012 followed by Florida and Missouri. There are a lot of companies that
require any job applicant to submit a drug test. According to the 2010 National
Survey on Drug Use and Health, 66% of substance abusers age 18 and older were
employed. Employers spend between thirty and fifty dollars per test per person.
Employees find that substance abusers increase employee turnover which end up
costing them more money in the long run because of the cost of training. The
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration conducted a study in
2007 that said substance abusers change jobs as often as three times a year.
Employers that require drug testing saw a 16% decrees in employee turnover rates.
Another reason an employer may require drug testing is because people with no
substance abuse problems are more productive. People with substance abuse
problems are also 2.5 times more likely to call into work. Companies who require
drug testing also saw a 50% decrease in workers compensation clams. So in the
long run, employers end up saving a lot of time and money by drug testing all job
applicants. If 60% of employers are requiring job applicants who pay thousands of
dollars a year in taxes to take a drug test, shouldn t the government be requiring the
same drug testing for people who are receiving welfare money? Many tax

Historical Accuracy Of The Movie Gladiator
The movie and film industry is known for putting unnecessary amounts of drama into
productions to keep the audience s attention and gain maximum amounts of profit.
Historical drama films are typically more about the entertainment than the historical
accuracy. The production Gladiator directed by Ridley Scott in 2000 is a good
example of this but in this film, there are some parts that are historically accurate.
The movie Gladiator is an epic historical drama film that takes place in Ancient
Rome, where a General by the name of Maximus Decimus Meridius was declared
successor to the ill Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The Emperor wanted Maximus to
restore Rome to a republic. However, the Emperor s son, Commodus was not happy
with his father s decision
John Stuart Mill The Harm Principle
This essay will discuss John Stuart Mill s Harm Principle and his views about
paternalism in relation to whether the New Zealand government should prohibit the
non therapeutic use of cannabis in New Zealand. Taking advantage of available
research, along with discussion of the Harm Principle, this essay will argue that non
therapeutic use of cannabis in New Zealand should not be prohibited.
John Stuart Mill s Harm Principle is the idea that, The only purpose for which power
can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his
will, is to prevent harm to others. 1 In other words, the state or society at large may
only interfere in an individual s life if that individual s actions pose a large enough
harm to others.. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is not meant to be applied to children or individuals in a state of excitement or
drunkenness unable to reflect such competency at that moment .1 John Stuart Mill s
position on paternalism is an aspect of the Harm Principle. Weak paternalism
concerns the intervention in individuals lives who do not meet the requirements to be
considered autonomous or competent. In essence, the Harm Principle and weak
paternalism are aimed at two different parts of society.
In New Zealand, the government is currently interfering in its citizen s lives by
prohibiting the recreational use of cannabis. This interference largely affects mature
and rational decision makers. In this case the Harm Principle does apply. We need
to ask, what is the alleged/predicted harm from the recreational use of cannabis? Is it
probable or certain and is there any physiological and or psychological

Therefore creating an influence.
There are a number of skills and talents which defines Donald Trump.
But there are some points which have also affected his image in a negative manner.
The press and the social media have criticized few of statements.
For example,
The billionaire was booed in the first minutes of the debate, after refusing to rule out
a run as a third party candidate.
Donald Trump ranted and blustered his way through a raucous first debate of the
2016 presidential election, smirking as he admitted calling women fat pigs .
The billionaire property mogul shot to the top of polls after accusing Mexican
immigrants of being criminals and rapists, but his habit of throwing out provocative
statements unsupported by the facts left him exposed during the two hour debate on
Fox news.
Within minutes of leaving the debate stage he declared himself the unequivocal
winner , but his unsteady performance may prove damaging his image.
He then entered into a tense exchange with Megyn Kelly, one of the debate
moderators, who asked why he had, why he had referred to women as fat pigs, dogs,
slobs and disgusting animals. Therefore Mr. Donald faced a bit
Analysis Of My Room Belongs To An Alien
Verbal Visual Essay Speak
My room belongs to an alien. (15)
This quote near the beginning of the book is in the context of Melinda describing
her room. She says this because of how it is decorated very strangely. The way she
words her sentence implies that she doesn t know who she was when she was
younger, that she is alien . Because of this and the fact she has no friends, she can t
relate to anyone, not even her past self. This causes her to be pushed deeper into her
depression.
2) It looks like my mouth belongs to someone else, someone I don t even know. (17)
This quote relates to the last, but is different because insteading of talking about her
past self, she is talking about her present self. Because she is comparing herself to a
stranger, this shows that she is starting to lose control over her identity. This is
important because without connections to anyone else, or herself, she is starting to
go into an all time low of her depression.
3) This has meaning. Pain. (65)
This quote appears when Mr.Freeman is inspecting Melinda s art. The artwork
included a doll with tape over it s mouth. This shows that other people can see that
Melinda is in pain, but nobody wants to do anything about it. The reason why this is
important it shows that because Melinda is alone, she is in pain.
4) Rudolph sets out on his ice flow, I m independent, he declares (72)
This quote happens when Melinda is watching Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer .

Examples Of Avoidable Mistakes For Successful App
Avoidable Mistakes For Successful App Marketing
Developing and releasing a mobile application is a very tricky task. When you
finally release the application, there is so much to celebrate. However, at this
moment, you have more work to be done. To release the full potential of your
amazing idea, you have to bring your new app to the users by successfully marketing
your app.
When a mobile app development company distributes their applications via traditional
stores, they have a lot of competition to deal with. Most app development companies,
therefore, have difficulties with marketing their applications successfully. In this
article, you ll find some of the marketing strategies unsuccessful apps have in

Failing to Do App Store Optimization
The two largest mobile app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play Store)
already have over 4.3 million applications. It is almost impossible that there won t
be at least an app in the stores that will be similar to your application. If you want
people to see and download your application rather than installing the app of your
competitors, there is no alternative to App Store Optimization. As the number of
your downloads is strongly impacted by ranking in search results, your main aim
should be to increase the ability for your app to be found in app stores. Therefore,
the higher your ranking in search results, the higher the chance that users will
download your application. Despite how time consuming App Store Optimization
(ASO) can be, it should be a vital part of your mobile app marketing as a mobile app
development company. By continually using your app meta data such as keywords,
description, and app title, you can increase your keywords ranking without spending
money.
Useful Tips
To get the best out of queries of organic search in app stores, below are some very
useful tips.
Use an App Publishing Tool and App Store Optimization that will help you optimize
the appearance of your app in app stores more efficiently.
Always adopt assets and texts on the page of your app to appeal users and increase
app downloads.

Liver Transplantation
Quality of Life and Resource Allocation, by Michael Lockwood Thesis: Health
procedures and resources should be analyzed and distributed using Quality
Adjusted Life Year (QALY), because it takes into account life expectancy, quality
of life, and cost. Premise 1: QALY provides a standard for measuring which patients
will benefit the most from receiving procedures. Premise 2: QALY scores can be
assessed for if the patient does not receive a procedure versus if they do. Then the
first QALY will be subtracted from the procedure QALY, giving a QALY gained
score. These can then be compared based on the cost of each procedure to find the
most effect option with both cost and QALY considered. Premise 3: QALY would

Premise 2: Patients with alcohol related end stage liver disease may still compete
for liver transplants, just at a lower priority. Premise 3: This process of ranking
alcohol related liver problems as lower priority is a fair process because it holds
people responsible for their choices, and patients who did not have alcohol related
liver problems are not responsible for their state. Alcoholics and Liver
Transplantation, by Carl Cohen and Martin Benjamin Thesis: Alcoholics should
not be excluded as candidates for liver transplant because there is no valid moral or
medical reason. Premise 1: There is no system for making sure other transplant
candidates are morally upstanding people. There is no investigation on if non
alcoholic candidate morally deserve a new liver. Premise 2: Alcohol is harder on
women s livers than men, if we decide no alcohols can be given new livers, we will
be holding women to a higher standard than men. Premise 3: There is no evidence
that proves that alcoholics have a lower success rate after a liver transplant. Many
alcoholics learn from their experience as well and do not continue to damage their
new liver with excessive

The procedures documented in this file, if carried out by unlicensed individuals would violate laws against controlled substances in most countries and could result in criminal charges being filed. If carried out by individuals unskilled at chemistry they could result in serious bodily harm. MDMA ( Ecstasy ) is a semi synthetic compound which can be made relatively easily from available precursors. Synthesis instructions exist which can be followed by an amateur with very little knowledge of chemistry. However, people with less than 2 years of college chemistry experience would probably not be capable of sucessfully synthesizing MDMA, and would either botch it in the best ... There are also two synthetic methods which proceed directly from safrole rather than through isosafrole. The first is the Ritter reaction which goes through the intermediate N acetyl MDA. The Ritter reaction is time consuming, requires a degree of laboratory skill and produces poor yields. The other method uses HBr to produce 3,4 methylenedioxyphenyl 2 bromopropane which is then converted into MDA or MDMA. This scheme produces poor yields, and Dal Cason referenced the australian journal _ANALOG_ where a hazard had been documented. It is, however, attractive for its sheer simplicity. It requires no specialized chem equipment or reagents at all. Beta nitroisosafrole is a less used precursor, but there is a large literature on the synthesis and reduction of nitro alkenes. This synthetic route isn t as popular due to the easier availability of precursors for MDP 2 P, and it also results in MDA which must then be further processed to give MDMA or any other N alkyl homolog of MDA. There are numerous ways to convert beta nitroisosafrole to MDA: LiAlH4, AlH3, electrolytic, Na(Hg), BH3 THF / NaBH4, Raney Ni catalyst, Pd / BaSO4 catalyst, Zn (Hg). Beta nitroisosafrole, when used, is commonly synthesized from piperonal. Beta nitroisosafrole can also be used as a precursor for MDP 2 P, but this is not commonly done. There are other synthetic routes, such as
  • 5. Comparing the Narrative and Formal Devices of ChungKing... Comparing the Narrative and Formal Devices of ChungKing Express and A Bout de Souffle Wong Kar Wai s movie ChungKing Express bears many similarities to Godard s A Bout de Souffle . To start with, Wai employs a number of cinematic techniques, obviously derived from the French New Wave, such as for example the jump cut which is evidently taken from Godard s film. His use of the Godard ian jump cut seamlessly blends temporally exclusive scenes together, making the passage of time unnoticeable. Other Godard ian touches include the many shots of clocks, which remind the viewer that despite the protagonist s fixation on the past, time continues to move on and that moments in the present are ... The primary function of the traditional Hong Kong film industry was to churn out movies aimed at the general public and make sure that they bring in a profit. This is much like the French film industry was before the emergence of the French New Wave. However Wai s ChungKing Expresswas clearly not aimed at the masses, but rather only at the people who have developed a real understanding and appreciation for the art of film. Godard s A Bout de Souffle was also a film which was made to rebel against the old style of French cinema and break the conventions of the film industry. In this way, both of the film directors have something in common with each other. Much of Wai s work has included themes of time passing and how every human emotion, every material object or specifically tinned food expires. This reoccurring matter isn t simply an accident but it carries a very significant political message. At the time that Wai made ChungKing Express , Hong Kong was pending to be handed over from the British democratic powers, to the Chinese communist government. This period was very turbulent for the Hong Kong people as they were in anticipation of a great change, but they didn t know whether it would be negative or positive.

An agreement was finally made to create the Bill of Rights to help secure ratification of the Constitution itself. Secondly, the Bill of Rights did not address every foreseeable situation. One failure of the Bill of Rights was the first amendment of the original Bill of Rights. The amendment concerned the number of constituents for each Representative and was never ratified. It said that once the House has one hundred members, it should not go below one hundred, and once it reached two hundred, it should not go below two hundred (Mount 1). Another failure was The Anti Title Amendment. This amendment said that any citizen who accepted or received any title of nobility from a foreign power, or who accepted without the consent of Congress any gift from a foreign power, by would no longer be a citizen (Mount 1). They have greatly benefited Canada and improved the country s way of life. In fact, Canadian physician Dr. Frederick Banting discovered insulin to treat diabetes. Also, Michael smith developed site directed mutagenesis to alter and identify genes. Lastly, doctors at Toronto Hospital For Sick Children produced Pablum to treat rickets. These notable breakthroughs in Canadian medicine have positively impacted Canadian life. First and foremost, Dr. Frederick Banting was able to isolate insulin and use it to treat the metabolic disorder diabetes which has benefited Canada. As a result, numerous individuals have been able to receive treatment which has reduced the number of deaths. This decrease in mortalities has also lowered the number of debilitating conditions resulting from diabetes. In fact, the mortality rate for diabetes over the past forty five years has dropped by over fifty percent (Center for Disease Control and Prevention). This decrease clearly indicates that the death rates for diabetes is gradually declining. This trend can be followed from the time insulin was discovered and has increased the prognosis and quality of life for many people. In addition, the number of diabetes cases in Canada has risen by almost thirty percent over the past twenty years (Public Health Agency of Canada 2). Intra African slavery began before the European slave trade came to exist; this unpopular fact shows the beginning of such a gruesome and detrimental act began by the people of Africa, which, later in time, is what fuels and strengthens the European slave trade. African slaves were once captured by tribes of Africa, then working for and obeying whomever owned them. Though, they only had to serve as a slave for a given amount of time, usually only a couple years, and were then able to return home to their tribe and family to live a normal life. They were to enter under the manumission contract which allowed the enslaved to work until his or her can pay for their freedom, usually an agreed amount between them and their owner. This function of slaverywas due to Africa and its people only using/ seeing slavery as a temporary solution in order to build their economy and villages/cities. This is one of the main differences between the European and intra African slave trade, which set them greatly apart. The Europeans saw slavery and slaves as a permanent way of life for them, to live a long hard life of servitude, making the most of their money and the slaves always being in debt to them. Each trade, the trans Atlantic and trans Saharan, worked differently and were

  • 23. The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ Essay The religion Christianity is grounded through the wisdom and miracles of Jesus Christ. Many may call him Jesus or Christ but in actuality Jesus is Christ which means anointed one. Jesus Christ was no average person, he is the God the Father who came to this world and fulfilled the Old Testament laws and prophecies, died on the cross, and rose from the dead physically. As savior that came on earth to restore his people he performed many miracles which were recorded in the Gospels by the eyewitnesses. Jesus Christ is the divine in nature as well as human. Thus, he has two natures and is worthy of worship and prayer. Christianity teaches that there is only one God in all existence. Although philosophies have tried to prove otherwise the reality is that God made the universe, the Earth, and created man starting with Adam and Eve. According to Genesis 1:27 it states that So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them . Image means the likeness of God s character, rationality, etc. Since we are made in the image of God, every person has an opportunity to be more like him less like sinful ways of the world. Another aspect that Christianity teaches is that God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, not three Gods). Although the trinity is a subject that is very controversial however, in the Christian faith is essential foundation of it faith. In the trinity Jesus Christ is the second person. Jesus died on the

  • 25. Summary Of Lucinda Matlock By Lgar Lee Masters Living Life to The Fullest Life is all about what you make of it and how you go about your day. People today take for granted for what they have because they do not know what to do with their worth. How you look at the small things that mean the most is ultimately the way to happiness. That is not saying that life is going to throw challenges your way, it is how you face them and fight back. In the poem Lucinda Matlock, Edgar Lee Mastersuses imagery, repetition, and word choice to reveal that while life may be difficult at times that does not mean that it can not be full of joy and love. Living life to the fullest and finding the good out of something no matter how hard it may seem, is the key to the process. Throughout the entire poem, imagery is one of the literary devices that Masters mainly uses. Imagery is defined as a, Language that speaks to the senses. Most often, poetic images appeal to sight, but they can appeal to hearing, touch, smell, and taste, as well (Handout). Imagery creates an image in your head of what the author is trying to explain, such as what Matlock loves, displayed in the quote: ...I spun, I wove, I kept the house, I nursed the sick, I made the garden, and for the holiday Rambled over the fields where they sang the larks, And by Spoon River gathering many a shell, And many a flower and medicinal weed Shouting to the wooded hills, singing to the green valleys. Amabelle rebuilt her identity through hope by remembering her past. Her memories acted as a resistance against oppression and remained strong and faithful. She stated, for so long, this had been my life, but it was all the past. Now we all had to try and find the future (Danticat, 184). Even though she was going through so much, she remained optimistic. She shifted her attention towards water, a tangible object and remembrance of her past, which to her, represented Heaven my heaven is the veil of water that stands between my parents and me. To step across it, and then come out is what makes me feel alive (Danticat, 264). Throughout the novel, Amabelle was able to divert from sulking in oppression and be hopeful for the future in order for her to fully accept and move on. Oscar s hope was more evident towards the end of the novel. Oscar was able to finally develop some sort of romantic relationship with a girl named Ybon. Although he was beaten and warned

Geological Structures Within The Earth Geology Geological structures within the earth can determine a multitude of variables when determining such things as formations, permeability, porosity, lithology, mineralogy, saturation and normal/abnormal/subnormal pressure which in turn can provide the necessary information for reservoir pay zones. The foundation for hydrocarbons is based off of the organic theory which states that the hydrocarbons formed through an anaerobic environment (lacking oxygen) over time with high pressures and relatively low temperatures (300В°F 392В°F) with carbon based materials such as algae. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Petroleum engineers deal only with sedimentary basin rocks in oil and gas drilling, and these sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition of material at the Earth s surface and within bodies of water. Permeability in these rock is a measure of the ease with which fluid flows through a porous rock, and is a function of the degree of interconnection between the pores. Permeability can be separated into three parts: absolute, effective, and relative. Absolute is when pore spaces are 100% saturated with the same fluid, effective is when the permeability of a flowing phase that does not saturate 100% of the rock, and relative which is the ratio of effective permeability to absolute permeability of the same rock. When permeability is low the degree at which fluids can flow through the rock is low and therefore not a good means of producing hydrocarbons. Even if a reservoir has a high saturation, a low permeable rock will have no means of obtaining the porous medium. However this is not the only cause with saturations of rock. The irreducible water saturation also plays a part in the production of hydrocarbons. This is when water is held against the rock grains by surface tension and cannot be produced which is determined by grain structure, i.e. size and mixture. Normal pressure below the earth has a linear relationship with temperature and depth, i.e. as depth increases the temperature and pressure increases, however

Many of Edwards s imageries compared God s wrath to nature and animals like snakes as a way to invoke fear. He claims that you are ten thousand times more abominable in his eye than the most hateful venomous serpent is in ours... (56) Most humans naturally feel disgust and hate for venomous serpents. With this rational fear and disgust, the audience is able to switch roles with the snakes and experience the wrath people will have on them as a snake. The Sumerian worked to please their gods, and the Hebrews view of their god was based on faith and obedience. The Sumerian gods, as well as the Hebrew s god, were powerful. For instance, they could create and destroy life, but these gods cared about their people as well. While the Hebrews had a covenant between them and their god, that could not be broken if they wanted to prosper, the Sumerian had the Code of Ur Nammu. This code was the will of the gods and was administered by the state (Joshua J., 2014).The Hebrew s god was also severe, strict and righteous. They are a concrete road, set out before you, and even though your route is predetermined, only you can decide the destination. SIdewalks can also be seen from the perspective of your own self, and how you relate to them personally. We can use this perspective to see a different side of things, look a little deeper. In me, I see a beautifully multi colored sidewalk, different abstract and variant stone pieces coming together to form one whole slab of an artfully designed path. Those pieces are the beautiful people in my life that make me who I am. This sidewalk that you ve imagined relates to me in more ways than one. But the most distinctive characteristic of it, is the polychromatic pieces of this sidewalk. In my life I have encountered the most extraordinary people that exist on this earth. They have laughed with me, cried with me, stuck with me through the highs, and through the lows. They were there when no one else was, when I felt like giving up. They invited me with welcoming arms into their family, and treated me like their own, like their son, brother, and cousin. They are my bestfriends, and I would do anything for these people, even give my life. Nothing can replace my love and devotion to them. There have also been people in my life that have done close to nothing for me, bystanders if you will. These aren t necessarily bad

Objective To undertake a critical review of the current product check and release processes to ensure a robust, high quality and safe product approval system is in place to safeguard patient safety and to ensure compliance with standards and recommendations. 2. Background The aseptic preparation of products at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) is carried out in an unlicensed unit under Section 10 exemption of the Medicines Act 1968. It provides a proposed product approval/Pharmacist supervision model that has been attached in Appendix 1. Final product accuracy check and release at NLAG is undertaken by the Authorised Pharmacist (usually band 7 or above). The Authorised Pharmacist also undertakes the clinical checks/screening of the prescriptions. It has been discussed that undertaking these checks by different pharmacists will add an extra safety check in the process and there is a plan for separation of these roles in the near future. The plan is to have a Clinical Pharmacist undertaking the clinical checks in the clinical area and an Authorised Pharmacist in the Aseptic Unit undertaking the product check and approval (release). Another proposal has been suggested following this analysis. There are some concerns regarding separation of the roles as the staff who may be involved in approving products (band 6 pharmacists) have a lack of knowledge and skills in aseptics. There is also a need for cost effective working and flexibility within the service, including appropriate skill mix. This all emphasises a requirement for this critical analysis to ensure that a robust product check and release is undertaken. Although errors in the preparation of injectable medicines within pharmacy aseptic environments are not very

In 2011, 23.8% of welfare recipients admitted to using illegal drugs, including marijuana. The problem the United States if facing is that welfare recipients are using the cash they are given to purchase illegal drugs. Many of these people purchasing illegal drugs had prior illegal drug abuseproblems and some of these people believe that since they are given this free money, they can continue on with these addictions instead of finding the help they need to get back onto their own two feet. There are a lot of companies that require any job applicant to submit a drug test. According to the 2010 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 66% of substance abusers age 18 and older were employed. Employers spend between thirty and fifty dollars per test per person. Employees find that substance abusers increase employee turnover which end up costing them more money in the long run because of the cost of training. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration conducted a study in 2007 that said substance abusers change jobs as often as three times a year. Employers that require drug testing saw a 16% decrees in employee turnover rates. Another reason an employer may require drug testing is because people with no substance abuse problems are more productive. People with substance abuse problems are also 2.5 times more likely to call into work. Companies who require drug testing also saw a 50% decrease in workers compensation clams. So in the long run, employers end up saving a lot of time and money by drug testing all job applicants. If 60% of employers are requiring job applicants who pay thousands of dollars a year in taxes to take a drug test, shouldn t the government be requiring the same drug testing for people who are receiving welfare money? Weak paternalism concerns the intervention in individuals lives who do not meet the requirements to be considered autonomous or competent. In essence, the Harm Principle and weak paternalism are aimed at two different parts of society. In New Zealand, the government is currently interfering in its citizen s lives by prohibiting the recreational use of cannabis. This interference largely affects mature and rational decision makers. She says this because of how it is decorated very strangely. The way she words her sentence implies that she doesn t know who she was when she was younger, that she is alien . This causes her to be pushed deeper into her depression. 2) It looks like my mouth belongs to someone else, someone I don t even know. (17) This quote relates to the last, but is different because insteading of talking about her past self, she is talking about her present self.
