Modern Day Drivers Research Paper
Since the dawn of motorized transportation, the modern world has utilized its convenience of
interconnectivity. As subsequent generations utilize the vehicle s convenience, more drivers
populate roadways and inherently increase the risk of traffic incidents due to inattentiveness and
excessive speed. These modern day drivers are protected by the safety systems of the vehicles and
roads, driver education and enforced trafficlaws. Law enforcement currently relies on speed traps,
guilty conscience and traffic calming measures to control traffic safety. In the face of this current
technological world, these methods of enforcement prove to be non uniform and unreliable. With
speed continually being a major cause to many types of crashes and fatalities,... Show more content

Even though the importance of such may be unknown, drivers understand that lawful speed
limits exist at least from the day they earn their permit. From a national survey conducted by the
National Highway Safety and Traffic Association, 30% of drivers strongly agreed that there is
no excuse to exceed the posted limit; 18% somewhat agreed. Likewise, 67% strongly agreed and
24% somewhat agreed that everyone should obey the speed limit because it s the law [1, 34].
Drivers want to respect speeding laws because it they trust other drivers will do the same, but
whether the drivers actually choose to obey the laws is another story. From the same survey, the
most frequent reasons for speeding were 35% for being late, 31% for emergencies, 10% for not
paying attention, 7% for being in a hurry and 7% for keeping up with traffic flow [1, 43]. Drivers
of this fast paced nation may sometimes set aside their judgment and break the law to meet its
demands. Enforcement of speed regulations is directed to protect all drivers with uniform
limitations. We all know that this doesn t happen. These are ideal systems. So what s the real

Cumberland Slider Autobiography
The Cumberland slider turtle is my favorite animal, I ll tell you all about where it lives and what it
lives in.
The Cumberland slider can be found in the South East part of the United States. They could be
found in Illinois, Georgia, and Alabama. They could be found in those states because of many
people trading them. If you see a lot of rocks near a river, they ll be hanging around there.
They will be seen in quiet waters that feature mud at the bottom. They will also be found near the
Cumberland Valley in Pennsylvania and Maryland. They could rarely be found in Tennessee and
Kentucky. They could be found in rivers that feature mud at the bottom because they could

They are known for being active. They are known for being active because turtles are usually slow
and it s fun to watch them as they move and slide into the water and onto the rocks. Your turtleis
going to move a lot when they get comfortable with their tank, so you won t just see them not
moving, they will always move. They will be hanging around the rocks you put in the tank with
them because, to them rocks mean comfortable to them.
They are also known for being fun to watch. As you see your turtle they will be on the rock a lot,
and if you see your turtle just sitting on the rock then that s called basking . As the turtles get used
to their tank, they will slide on the rock you put into your tank.
They get their name slider because they slide onto rocks and into the water. They slide into the
water or onto rocks because they are either scared or afraid. Sometimes when they slide onto rocks
that s a sign that they might start basking.
As you buy a turtle you don t know what size tank, or how to do the filtration for the tank, or you

Critical Analysis Of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken
Critical Analysis of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken
The speaker in Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken gives the reader insight into human nature
with each line of poetry. While, Frost had not originally intended for this to be an inspirational
poem, line by line, the speaker is encouraging each reader to seek out his or her own personal
path in the journey of life. Romanticizing the rural woods of New England creates the perfect
setting for the theme of self discovery laid out and described by the speaker.
Robert Frost s original intent in writing the poem was not to convey the inspiration that it has for
almost a hundred years. He had written the poem to poke fun at his friend, Edward Thomas, with
whom he had taken many walks. Thomas was hesitant and always wondering what would happen if
he had chosen a different path (http://www.yoga.com/raw/readings/frost_road.html). In fact, Frost
sent the poem to his friend, then in France, and got the response, ?What are you trying to do with
me?? (http://www.libarts.sfasu.edu/Frost/PopPoems.html). However, Frost did see the impact the
poem was having and stated, Do not follow where the path may lead?Go instead where there is no
path and leave a trail.
The speaker communicates many things in the first stanza of the poem. The first line, ?Two roads
diverged in a yellow wood,? uses imagery with the color yellow, the color of gold, to show that
the speaker sees an opportunity ahead of him. The two roads symbolizes the choices and
consequences he must choose. The next line, ?And sorry I could not travel both,? illustrates how
difficult it is to make a choice. It is impossible not to wonder what could happen by choosing the
other road and what he could be missing out on. ?And being one traveler long I stood,? shows
how the speaker would like to be in two places at once. Unable to accomplish this, he takes a
long time to decide on what he should do. Finally, the speaker describes studying the first option,
looking as far into the future as he possibly could with the lines, ?And looked down one as far as I
could to where it bent in the undergrowth.?
The speaker continues to convey his message in the second stanza of ?The Road Not Taken.? In the
opening line of this

Gum disease
Gum disease, a condition that involves the gums becoming swollen, sore and in some cases
infected, happens to be an extremely common condition. It s estimated to affect more than half of
the adult population in the UK alone whether it s mild or severe. In fact, the vast majority of
people suffer from it at least once a month if not more however, it s much less common in
children. If you suffer from gum disease yourself, you may find that your gums bleed when you
brush them and you may even suffer from bad breath. This initial stage of gum disease is known as
gingivitis. If gingivitis isn t treated accordingly then it can lead on to periodontitis or periodontal

An electric toothbrush is also recommended, as this can be more efficient at removing plaque and
cleaning the gum line. You should also make sure the toothpaste you use contains fluoride because
this natural mineral can help protect teeth against tooth decay by protecting your enamel. Flossing
should be included in your at home oral health routine on a daily basis. On top of this, making
regular visits to your dentist is also advised as not only can they identify the very early stages of
gum disease, but they ll also be able to offer advice and possible protectants against it.
Mouthwash that contains chlorhexidine or hexetidine can be bought over the counter and can
help those who begin to notice the very early stages of gum disease such as bleeding gums.
Antiseptic mouthwashes that contain chlorhexidine can stain your teeth if used regularly so
should only be used when symptoms of gum disease can be seen. Depending on the degree of

In our society today large numbers of people practice some sort of religion. Realizing how many
people inhabit the world today it s not hard to believe that there are literally thousands of religions
out there. Making a choice as to what religion you fit into can be a daunting task. Even if you
already practice a set religion sometimes its hard to know if you are putting your faith in the right
hands so to speak. People get into a religion and they think that their beliefs are right and
everyone else s are wrong or twisted. Also people want the religion they are practicing to be the
preferred religion of the country or of the world. So from the beginning of history people have ...

this building are other buildings almost as tall as the center one if it weren t for the tower sitting

giving the impression that this is a rather large city. You can see the top of a street light from the
point where it starts to bend in the lower right corner.
All around this picture there are people floating in the air around the city block. Most of them
are floating in the sky above the buildings but some are at the level of the building roofs and
even lower. There are some people all the way down at the bottom of the picture around the

Caesar Augustus Legacy
Caesar Augustus: *** What s in a name? A name is a defining characteristic of a human being. It
carries with it accomplishments, traits, stories, and a legacy. When Caesar Augustus radically
changed Roman civilization, he established a legacy that would far outlive him. After years of
political turmoil, he brought the city and the empire from the chaos of civil war to a system of
ordered and stable government (Shotter, Introduction). Along with his strong influence on
government policies, his influence found its way into parts of culture such as architecture, religion,
and literature as well. In doing this, Caesar Augustuscreated a name for himself that would
transcend the ages. Augustus was born as Gaius Octavius on September 23, 63 B.C. (Richardson
4). Showing promise as young man, his great uncle, Julius Caesar, took special interest in him,
giving him jobs and experience in the political world. Caesar eventually developed a relationship
so close with him that he considered Octavius his adopted son (Shotter, Ch. 2). When Caesar was
assassinated on the Ides of March, his murderers, Brutus and Cassius, had no plans for the future
other than believing that the death of the tyrant would automatically lead to the Restorations of the
Republic, and instead plunged Rome into a fresh round of civil conflict for thirteen more years
(Shotter Ch. 2; Bentley et al. 223). This problem sets up the need for a political figure to fix these
pressing issues, and harboring

Trauma is defined as:
a.an injury (as a wound) to living tissue caused by an extrinsic agent;
b.a disordered psychic or behavioral state resulting from severe mental or emotional stress or
physical injury;
c.an emotional upset.
Trauma comes from the Greek пЃ”пЃІпЃЎпЃµпЃпЃЎпЂ пЂ meaning wound, and
пЃўпЃ¬пЃЎпЃўпЃЁпЂ пЂпЂ meaning damage, harm, or impairment. Trauma affects every body.
The traumatized person will experience dissociation, disbelief, isolation, and hopelessness. They
will often wonder Where is God and why has he left me?
I am going to concentrate on definitions b and c above because although the trauma patient is at the
hospital because of a , there is nothing we as chaplains can do about that. That part of the trauma is
the concern of the medical staff.
Let us first look at who are victims are. As I see it, there are four victims to every trauma the
patient(s), the family, the staff, and you. It seems that in our hurry to treat the patient we often
move the others to a secondary or tertiary role (the staff and you). This is not necessarily the case.
If you don t take care of you, then the others will not be able to benefit from your ministry.
This is where CPE comes in. A trauma chaplain without multiple units of CPE cannot possibly be
prepared to handle the day to day activities of an emergency room let alone a trauma center. CPE
teaches us to know ourselves and by that, to be transparent so that we may put aside our prejudices
and biases and properly concentrate on the

H M s Target Market Range Age Group Essay
Hennes Mauritz (H M) is one of the largest clothing retailers worldwide. Their target market
range age group is about 0 40 years old, but is most popular for those 15 30 years old. The brand
reputation has achieved the assumption that their goal is to offer fashionable clothing at a
reasonable price. Their clothing is always on trend, and sold at an affordable price from about
$0.80 to $450. H M buys stock in large columns to keep prices affordable for their average
consumer. They partake in many collaborations with designers and celebrities, such as, David
Beckham, Alexander Wang, and the most recent, Kenzo, as well as many more. They have
worked to achieve a quick and well established system with stores all around the world, and a large
consumer variety. H M is regularly featured in respectable fashionmagazines, such as Vogue and
Elle. The following shows all of the countries a customer is able to shop from on the online website.
With H M s many strengths come many weaknesses. Although buying in large amounts keeps
prices affordable, it can also lead to overstocking, and later the lowering of an already affordable
price, as well as a lack of control over product production. Uncontrollably, their target customer
base is highly affected by the changing macro economic conditions. They are new to the United
States online store compared to their competitors (Gap, Zara, Forever 21). Their clothing is usually
not original due to how they follow the trends of luxury brands on

Sealcoat Case Study
4 Problems That Can Happen With An Asphalt Sealcoat For A Parking Lot The first impression
you make on your customers is when they pull up to your business and park in your parking lot.
You want to make sure that the parking lot appears to be well maintained, and one way you can
do that is by applying a sealcoat to the asphalt. The thin layer of sealant is designed to protect the
asphalt and extend its life, but it does not come without its own set of problems. An asphalt
sealcoat can have any of these 4 problems that you will need to address. Tiny Cracks and Spider
Lines A sign that your asphalt sealcoat is wearing thin is when you start noticing small hairline
cracks on the surface. This happens naturally over time due to the asphalt sealant breaking down.
You may notice it more in the actual parking spots, because leaking fluids from cars can speed up
the deterioration... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Apply a new sealant at the early stages of cracking. Chipping It is common to see chipping if
you are located in a dry climate, and it will be more noticeable around edges of the parking lot
that are prone to becoming damaged. A little bit of chipping is normal, but major chipping is a
red flag that you need to reseal your parking lot. Chipping can occur due to the original sealant
being installed improperly, usually because the sealant did not have a high amount of adhesive
content to perform an optimal seal. This can easily happen if you try doing the job yourself and
make a mistake in the application process. Sticky Surfaces Since asphalt sealers use tar, you may
notice that surface of your parking lot is sticky when the temperature outside is very hot. You
should be concerned if you have a long length of extremely high temperatures, because the sealcoat
can breakdown faster than normal. It may require resealing earlier than you intended.

Womanhood In Pop Culture
American media is a powerful shaping force in developing values and behavior. As an institution,
the media wields the power to form, reinforce and dismantle gender ideologies (Stillman 51) which
have long lasting and negative results. Both magazines and television reflect behaviors, such as
gossip and sexual behaviors, already present within American culture (Stillman 52, MacKay and
Covell 573), but the mediaalso creates new patterns of behavior that are then flooded into popular
culture. Some of the most common matters that the media creates and then floods into American
culture are: fashion trends, new phrases and other consumer oriented products. Because media

In the United States, many people s behavior and thoughts on daily life are based on what is
being presented in television, young women especially. The images and realities being
displayed on American television contradicts Biblical womanhood by targeting specific virtues
of Biblical women and highlighting opposite characteristics. A specific contradiction to Biblical
womanhood presented often on television is gossip. The Bible teaches that women are to be
reverent in behavior, not slanderers (Titus 2:3). When the Biblical teaching against gossip is
ignored by the media, the destructive behavior of gossip and slander spreads violently among
the women who watch television shows in which gossip is prevalent. Gossip and slander lead to
relational aggression among women, especially those who are bombarded with images of women
engaging in gossip and slander on television constantly (Goldberg, Smith Adcock and Dixon 379).
Because the Biblical teaching against gossip is unheeded, relational aggression among women
due to gossip and slander has become an accepted part of life. That is to say, hostile behavior
among women is now considered to be normal as a result of the relationally aggressive images
presented on television. Television

Through attending The Free Chapel, I have been able to deepen my understanding of it works
into the fabric of social structure. Firstly, the church is located in Orange County, specifically
Irvine which has a vibrant religious scene. With a wide variety of churches to choose from in the
area, Free Chapel has to think of new and innovative ways to entice people to attend their church.
This is exemplified in the grandness of the church, and the modernness of the inside. When we
asked the pastor to tell us about the church, he said that they wanted the physical appearance of

Having this kind of status in society, has probably influenced the way that they have experienced

mainly European Americans, there were people from races and ethnicities represented. So in this
regard, the church may act as a vehicle through which people who come from different cultural and

Scramble for Africa
What were the major historical factors explaining the scramble for Africa ?
In order to approach this essay question, my analysis will be divided into two parts. The first
section will define what the scramble for Africa means. In the subsequent sections, I will refer to
the case history of colonization of Africa by some European countries, the motives behind their
actions and its consequences on Africa particularly.
The scramble for Africa was described as the golden period of European expansionism in the 19th
century. It was an age in which the continents of Africa, Asia and Middle Eastern states were
brought under the control of European powers following the Berlin Conference from 1884 to

As argued by H. L. Wessseling (1996: 366), the historical interpretation of the partition was based
on imperialism due to entrepreneurship and therefore, primarily a struggle for profitable markets
of investment . He opined that aside from the economic motives upon which the partition was
based, there was indeed, consideration of strategic and political motives as well. From his
perspective, the political elites in Britain had no plan for Africa; instead they were promoting their
own preferences in Asia which was aimed at defending the crucial stake in both India and the East
(p. 366). Furthermore, the development of transportation was paramount to the Middle East war
because it promoted the development of Africa transportation network which was used to transport
bulky supplies from Congo Rivers, through Juba and Egypt (Hargreaves, 1988: 54).
Certainly, there was no question of the strategic and commercial importance of Africa, Asia and the

With the influence of mannerism in Renaissance , the composition of the figures intertwine and
create not just complex composition but a dynamic three dimensional space. Both of the child
have its left leg stepping forward, however, because of the diagonal composition in the Dolci
painting and the depth expressed by the diagonal accent, it enhances the three dimensional effect.
Dolci s composition is also more unified meaning the subjects form a dynamic composition
relationship. There is more variation of postures in the painting and their limbs, accessories are
more intertwined. The scene seems more like a happening than a positioned, still portrait. Romano
s composition of the space seem to be more layer based and there are less spatial relationships
between the figures. Dolci also introduced a new technique by cropping the image of the subjects
with a slight highlighted line. This new technique is unique in a way that it restraint the subject in
another area than the frame. This enhances the three dimensional effect evermore, giving the
illusion as if the viewer would peek into the space inside of the painting, instead of looking
directly at the image and associating it with areas outside of the painting such as a frame which
naturally limits space and create a barrier between the viewer and the subjects in painting

The Code of Ethics defines the behavior standards with which physicians must comply. The AMA
Code of Ethics is designed as a concise document outlining the basic duties and responsibilities of
physicians. One of the major areas of strength of the AMA Code of Ethics is the principle that
outlines that the physician must regard responsibility to the patient as paramount (American
Medical Association, n.d., par. 9). This principle outlines that importance of putting the patient
first in all care aspects when working with a patient. Along with this, other principles set forth in
the AMA Code of Ethics, while involving other aspects of care, state that the rights of the
patient shall be acknowledged and followed during patient care. It is very important that
healthcare codes of ethics are clear in defining that the patient needs to be considered first and
foremost. A weakness of the AMA Code of Ethics is concise nature of the document. While
concise can also be regarded as a strength, the concise nature of this Code of Ethics is a
disadvantage, as it does not allow for more clear definitions of the ethical principles. For example,
the principle stating that physicians shall support access to medical care for everyone does not
outline the ways in which physicians should do this or provide any guidance. It seems as though
more guidance could be provided with a more

title is trying to avoid this prejudice pretty originally. Under the cover of technical problems and
often discussed in game payment system for cosmetics and credits is hidden real diamond in terms

In the game there are three main fractions. Do not think about how it s not realistic and just enjoy
them because in the game you will meet Samurais, Vikings and European Knights. There is a
huge conflict between these sides going on because of the lack of water and food. All these battles

You don t need it that much in simple blocking and only thing you gonna have out of it is
showing your opponents that you are defensive type of player and he can get more aggresive.
But the real hell starts when you learn your own combos and counterattacks. Every character has
its own unique attacks so you will have to master it on a single one before you will want to try
anybody else. You think you can spam your opponent with just clicking and attacking? Well this
never works because of stamina and you will die easily before you can even recover, so let s learn!
To all of this add the fact that maps are rich and offers you places to go. You will find spikes,
holes, cliffs, fires and all of these can make your opponent a bad day. Well this perfect combat
system and reactions are definately not something easy and I felt like an amateur almost every
battle I entered because you just won t learn the game in one afternoon.
And this is the geniality of the game. Very tactical and also very fast game where you have to
consider all the possibilities. Your beggining will be tough, no doubt and you will most likely
experience desperation and frustration but when you learn something about the game, For Honor
starts to be a fun game for you.
Important part of multiplayer are game modes. You can choose between classic 1v1 duels, 2v2

Persuasive Speech About Littering
The area is already messy, why bother finding a trashcan? One person say this and others will
follow him and do the same. Have you ever thought about what your community would look like
without litter? If so, it may take a while to find out. One person throwing something on the ground
may not think much of it, however, when that trash finds other trash, they begin to build up and
make big piles of junk. For example, I am sure people never thought that if they littered, their trash
would end up in the pacific garbage patch.

Littering is a major issue around the world today. Littering means throwing away objects on the

Ultimately, Boone Coleman did not complete its work until 397 days after the agreed project
completion date. Upon completion, the Village paid Boone Coleman $535,823 for its work.
Boone Coleman filed suit seeking the balance of the $683,300 contract price and additional
compensation for extra work. The Village denied liability to Boone Coleman, counterclaimed for
$277,900 in liquidated damages, and moved for summary judgment in its favor.
Court Decision:
The trial court granted the motion for summary judgment, determining that the Village was not
liable to Boone Coleman, and that Boone Coleman was liable to the Village for liquidated damages.
Further Action by the parties: The general contractor, Boon Coleman, filed an appeal at the Court
Of Appeals of Ohio, Fourth Appellate District, Pike County 2014 Ohio 2377, and it was to his
favor. On appeal, the Court of Appeals of Ohio reversed the portion of the trial court s judgment that
enforced the contractual liquidated damages provision. The Court of Appeals of Ohio held that a
liquidated damages provision in a public construction contract constituted an unenforceable penalty
because the amount of liquidated damages pursued was almost a third of the original cost of the
contract which was unreasonable and disproportionate.

Getting Enough Calcium through Food Essay example
The body s metabolism relies on minerals such as calcium to function properly. Calcium is not
produced in the body directly. Any food eaten is the sole source calcium, which makes up nearly
1.5% of a person s total body weight. However, despite traditional understanding, calcium is not
just found in dairy related products. A variety of foods also provide calciumto the benefit of the
body. Both sources of calcium are detailed below.
Without a doubt, the best food sources of calcium include dairy products. Specifically, well
purchased and well known items such as milk, cheese, and yogurt provide nearly 100 to 400 mg of
calcium per cup of serving. Another popular choice is cottage cheese. One half cup of low fat

recommended amounts of calcium. For instance,
Cooking and Storage: 2 4 paragraphs
The relationship between vitamin d and calcium is inextricably linked. Recent research has
discovered when calcium intake is too low, vitamin D [triggers] a process in which stored calcium
is mobilized from the bones (Holick) to help with bone healing and reformation. Vitamin D acts in
the body to replenish low amounts of calcium. The skeletal system and the digestive tract can be
tapped when the blood calcium begins to fall...[and]...increase absorption of calcium from food

Unlike other minerals, calcium is considered to be a very stable mineral. Processes such as
pasteurization, heating, or drying...does not reduce availability of calcium (Ensminger and
Ensminger 301). The mineral remains intact, regardless whether it is in ice cream, a boiled
pudding, or a frozen dairy item. For milk to retain its high calcium makeup, it is best stirred as it
heats to incorporate the calcium salts into the liquid (Ibid.).
Cooking other calcium rich food sources also must follow proper guidelines. For instance,
vegetables should be cooked by using small amounts of water, by keeping the sizes of the pieces as

THEORETICAL OUTLOOK
The Error Analysis in Second Language Acquisitionwas recognized and named as The
significance of learner errors by Corder and his colleagues. Further Corder delineated that it has
two objectives: one is theoretical and the other is applied. The theoretical objective serves to
explain what and how a learner learns when he studies a second language. The applied objective
serves to enable the learner to learn more efficiently by exploiting our knowledge of his dialect for
pedagogical purposes (Corder, 1974:122).
As per the Encyclopedic Dictionary of Linguistics by Tim (2003) writing is the act of representing,
or the representation, of thoughts, ideas and speech by conventional material signs. Of course, the
symbols which are used need to be arranged properly to form words and then to form the
sentences with a view to communicating our ideas in an organized way. In fact, when we
communicate through writing, we have so many ideas to express for which we think in different
ways of combining and arranging them, which lead us to draft, redraft or revise and so

The Art Of Technology And Schools Essay
The Art of Technology in Schools
All types of technology are becoming more prevalent everywhere. Everyone has a tablet,
laptop, smart phone, iPad or some type of technology in this day and age. It seems as if kids are
gaining more access to these technologies because of their schools. In schools students are being
given technology for homework and online textbooks now. Students are also getting exposure to
technology as teaching aids in schools as well. Many people believe that technology in class

On the surface technology in the classroom as free use is just asking for distractions
during class. During lecture students are going to be on social media, YouTube, playing games,

this is the biggest issue. In an article written by Kate Bane talking about technology being a

The Effects Of Lead On Human Population
The effects of lead in the human population have been an issue since the early civilizations
because lead was found in almost every item used for eating and cooking. In the 1950 s, houses
were built and the first choice for plumbing pipes was made of lead. The paint used to cover the
interiors was lead based. Children s toys were also coated with lead based paint. Nowadays, lead
can still be found in some glassware; however, the government has banned the use of lead in the
rest. Lead can be introduced into the body through inhalation or skin contact. However, ingestion of
lead is the most common way of it being transported into the body. There are a few symptoms that
are caused by lead poisoning in the gastrointestinal tract: stomachpain, weight loss, decreased
appetite, constipation, diarrhea, unusual taste in the mouth, and a blue line around the gum line.
The two problems that occur with these symptoms are that they can be misconstrued as symptoms
for other diseases, such as appendicitis. These symptoms occur only when lead is at high
concentration in the body. Being the foremost pathway for intake, absorption in very dependent on
the gastrointestinal lumen environment, amount of iron in storage, and age (Rabinowitz, 1980).
These variables can either increase or decrease the absorption of lead. The gastrointestinal tract is

Freudian Slip Essay
Introduction
Freudian slip theory was originally created by Sigmund Freud. He was an Austrian neurologist and
was better known as the founder of psychoanalysis (1856 1939). Psychoanalysis can be defined as
a set of psychological theories which includes the Freudian slip theory. He believed that everyone
possess an unconscious mind, feelings, desires and memories in their lifetime. It is to be said that
peoples will bring their unconscious content on their mind to their conscious awareness and people
will be able to experience catharsis and gain insight into their current state of mind. (Cherry, What is
Psychoanalysis?, 2016)
Freud s theory of slips of the tongue and pen Sigmund Freud theory is formed based on peoples
brings the unconscious thoughts to conscious self. Freudian slip is the Hint of the Unconscious.
(Cherry, What is a Freudian Slip?, 2015) A Freudian slip also known as a parapraxis, is an error
of speech and memory or physical action which Freud stated was a result of interference of self

The Role Of The Gods In The Aztec Civilization
Most ancient civilizations, including the Aztecs were polytheistic yet most modern religions are
monotheistic, so what caused the change from hundreds of Gods to just one. I believe that the
reason for this phenomenon can be seen in the Aztec civilization dating back to the sixth century in
Mexico. In the beginning, they worshipped dozens of Gods, but as the Spanish Conquest drew
closer and the Aztecempire began to fall, fewer and fewer Gods were worshipped. A prime
example of this is two of their Gods of agriculture, Xipe Totec and Tlaloc. While both were major
Gods throughout Aztec history, as time went on the two slowly became indistinguishable from
each other until only Tlaloc was left, and then as modern day approached, not even him

Overall, a simple, tragic piece of history that tells us a bit about what happened to the overall Aztec
belief system. Some Gods, such as their sun Gods Tonatiuh and Huitzilopochtli were worshipped in
the form of Jesus. Some survived with the Nahuas, the modern day descendants of the Aztecs. Most
were simply forgotten, the obvious reason for which being that there was no room for them in the
monotheistic Catholic religion. As to why Xipe Totec was worshipped in the years proceeding this
event, I have a theory; as all cultures spread, I believe that the version of Aztec mythology that
worshipped Xipe Totec spread to the city of Tenochtitlan, one of, if not the most studied cities by
modern historians. This in turn may have created a few decades where Tlaloc and Xipe Totec
coexisted as two important Gods. However, I feel this may have created an inaccuracy, as some
historians might assume that what happened in Tenochtitlan happened in the rest of the empire (the
worship of Xipe Totec for example); this is what I consider to be the main reason Xipe Tote is
considered to be important to the Aztecs today while he wasn t important back

What Is The Role Of Women In The Tang Dynasty And Women
Women in Ancient China during the Han Dynasty and Tang Dynasty lived in oppressed lives.
Society perceived them as inferior to their husbands and parents in law. Their role in the family
were to be housewives taking care of their family and maintaining the household chores. They were
always under the instructions of their husbands and parents in law in they were treated like
servants. They also had no control in their personal decisions because they were not allowed to
decide who they were going to marry and what they wanted to do in their careers. Parents of
daughters would also force their daughters to foot binding because it would attract potential wealthy
husbands. This paper argues that although the Han Dynastyand Tang Dynastywere known as the
golden periods for China, nevertheless, it was overlooked by historians that women during the time
were victims of gender inequality because they lived with no control over their personal lives and

Persuasive Essay About Thanksgiving Food
nimals, I think it s kind of gross, but I don t have the commitment to say I m a vegetarian.
Anyway, I don t enjoy eating animals that much, it s just not for me but that s a personal
problem. But that s the main focus of Thanksgiving! People just call is Turkey Day, sometimes!
So, there s one holiday food, OUT! Next in line, we have stuffing. Mmm don t you just love good
old fashioned wet bread to fill your genetically modified turkey s carcass? Ew! What? Why is that
a thing? I don t need to argue this further, I think you get it. The only other key player in the
Thanksgivingmeal that comes to mind is pumpkinpie. Pumpkin spice is a fan favorite, starting
early September people go wild over everything flavored to taste like that festive squash. That s
another one of those foods that I just don t like, I m a picky eater, it s fine. So, I ll let everyone
have that, but that does not make Thanksgiving more enjoyable to me. The only Thanksgiving
food that I can thoroughly enjoy, are mashed potatoes. Those are glorious, I m not mad at them
but my family gets a little upset at me when that s all I eat for Thanksgiving dinner so it doesn t
even count. Major portion of Thanksgiving celebration is the food, and I m not into it. Boom!
Holiday ruined! I mean, if I m going to overeat, it might as well be foods I enjoy! But, it gets worse.
Starting in like Kindergarten, we re taught that the first Thanksgiving was celebrated by the
pilgrims and WampanoagIndians. That s cute and

Diabetes did not Prevent a Better Future for Sonia Sotomayor
Can a disease prevent you from chasing your dream? For Sonia it did not. In fact, it was her
motivation. Sonias disease is what pushed her for a better future.
Sonia Sotomayor had a somewhat typical Puerto Rican childhood. She was born in New York to
her parents Juan Luis Sotomayor and Celina Baez de Sotomayor. Her only sibling was her
younger brother, Juan Luis Sotomayor Jr. who was born when she was three years old. She
grew up reading Nancy Drew books and dreamed of being a police detective. (Bernier,) At age
eight, she was diagnosed with diabetes. The doctor told her that her diabetes would prevent her
from being what she wanted to be when she grew up, because her diabetes was so hard to treat at
the time ( The Last , 33). Not wanting to depend on her parents to keep herself alive, she learned
to give herself insulin shots every day in her belly as well as boiling the water to sterilize a
syringe and needle. Sonia had a strong desire for a good education and to get there she had to
learn the English language, but her parents only spoke Spanish and she strongly disliked the
English language (Barnes). A little hard work never hurt anyone. In 1972, Sonia graduated from
Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx ( Sonia Sotomayor ). Her hard work and dedication to
studying allowed her to win college scholarships to both Princeton University and Yale University.
She enter Princeton University and later felt overwhelmed due to her language background that was

Reaction Time
Abstract Reaction Time is the interval of time between the application of a stimulus and the
detection of a response and has been thought to differ based upon the effects of modality and
warning signals. In the Reaction Time experiment a total of 24 students from the University of
Cincinnati participated in an experiment consisting of two sensory modalities, audition and vision,
which were combined with two levels of warning signal status. The two levels of warning signal
status were signal onset and signal offset. This provided a total of four experimental conditions
and is described as a two by two repeated measures design. The independent variables included both
modality and warning signals, while the dependent variable was... Show more content on

When the arm physically moves, the response execution is occurring.
With this kept in mind, it is important to also take note of the different types of reaction time
experiments including: simple reaction time and disjunctive reaction time. During simple reaction
time a subject must react to the presence of the response stimulus, such as the process that occurred
with the hot water streaming from the faucet. Disjunctive reaction time occurs when a subject will
have more than one choice of responses to a stimulus. Therefore, a subject must not only react to
the response signal, but they must also identify which response is appropriate. In this situation,
reaction time delay may be attributed to the process of identifying which response is appropriate.
Disjunctive reaction time is used for the purposes of the Reaction Time experiment with the use of
modality and warning signals as independent variables. Though the two types of reaction time
experiments differ, both simple reaction time and disjunctive reaction time undergo similar
processes including: sensory encoding, stimulus identification, response selection and response
execution (as described earlier). Each step of the processes is essential as they help explain the lag
difference between reaction time and stimulus detection.
The difference in reaction time to a stimulus can specifically be attributed to response stimulus
modality. Response stimulus modality refers to the type of sensory

Indian Gaming Regulatory Act Of 1988
Along with the Supreme Court s 1987 decision in California vs. Cabazon, the passing of the Indian
Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 has made gaming a significant part of tribal economic
development. Gaming has brought about economic self determination for Native Americans for the
first time in over two hundred years (Neath, 1995). Over two hundred of the United States544
federally recognized tribes have established gaming on tribal lands (Neath, 1995). However, along
with the economic profits, Indian gaming has brought many Native Americans back to reservations
after many years of living off reservation.
The IGRA, or Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, gave Indians the right to regulate gaming activities
on tribal lands, given that it is not prohibited by federal law or by the state in with it is conducted
(Neath). According of Professor Robert Miller, the gaming industry can be compared to the gold
rush (Tribal Economic Development on Steroids). From being one of the nation s poorest
communities, Indian reservations gross millions of dollars from gaming each year, and this revenue
makes up 70 percent of the average tribal budget (Neath, 1995). This income is used for the
community development projects such as building schools, constructing roads, and financial
scholarships (Neath, 1995). Gaming revenue, which brings out non Indian capital, allows Indian
communities to increase their standards of living and allows their communities to thrive. Many

Hillary Clinton Is Not The Right Choice
Hillary Clinton
President of the United States, the highest office in our nation. A respected title, a praiseworthy
title, an honorable title, but some may ask why anyone would want to be President.
For the fame or power? Well, that is how most people think the candidate, Hillary Clinton, thinks
of it. Trump, Cruz, Kasich, Clinton, and Sanders are the remaining candidates still in the race for
the presidency. All candidates have their faults, but Hillary s biggest fault is how she is
campaigning. When people listen to her presidential campaigns, they are not hearing politics or
how she is going to improve our countryНѕ they are hearing Hillary attacking her competitors,
trying to make her fellow candidates look weak. Our President should not behave in that way, their
actions reflects on us, the people of the United States. Hillary Clinton is not the right choice to be
our upcoming President of the United States.

Cognitive Strategies And The Risk Of Emotional Contagion
This study investigates different cognitive strategies in which people can reduce the risk of
emotional contagion.
Schoenewolf (1990, cited in Barsade, 2002, pp. 4) defined emotional contagion as a process in
which a person or group influences the emotions or behaviour of another person or group through
the conscious or unconscious induction of emotion states and behavioural attitude . This description
has been further supported by Hatfield, Cacioppo, Rapson (1992, pp. 153 154) who stated that
emotional contagion is when one unconsciously imitates the characteristics of another person,
therefore allowing oneself to feel and to be influenced by these emotions.
Current Study
This research aims to establish what strategy is most efficient in restricting the passing of emotions
between people. Participants, referred to as therapists in this study, listened to clients describing a
positive or negative situation. Self reports and facial affect were used as a means of measurement.
Participation engagement was also taken into consideration.
Two cognitive strategies most relevant to reducing emotional contagion identified by Gross and
Thomson (2007) are;
1.Attentional deployment, where one pays greater attention to particular features in an occurring
situation. The attentional deployment strategies for this study are; empathic imagery, where one
must mentally place themselves in the situation. Dissociation is the second attentional deployment
strategy. This involves

Hela Cells Impact
The scientific development of the HeLa cells has made a huge impact in the medical field. HeLa
cells are a cell line created from the doctors of Johns Hopkins Hospital. These cells are from a
woman named Henrietta Lacks and are considered to be immortal . They are considered to be
unique because they are not like any other normal human cell. This cell line is considered to be a
triumph to many scientists and researchers, but it also had some negative impacts. Many
controversies arose from the development of these cells such as how doctors at Johns Hopkins did
not get consent from its patients, how the Lacks family received nothing even with the success of

During the time when Henrietta Lacks was being treated for her cervical cancer, it was the time of
segregation. Henrietta Lacks was an African American woman who was diagnosed with cancer
and most hospitals were segregated. The Berkeley Science Review s Alexandra Del Carpio states,
At the time, Johns Hopkins was the only option in the area for African Americans seeking
medical treatment. (Del Carpio) Henrietta did not have a choice about which hospital to go to
seek treatment. Since Johns Hopkins was the only hospital to treat black people, she could not
even make a decision about which hospital to go to. In bigpictureeducation.com, they exclaim,
Henrietta Lacks did receive free health care treatment for her cervical cancer, but, as she was
African American, she had to travel miles to a segregated hospital to be treated. (Big Picture)
Notwithstanding Johns Hopkins provides Henrietta with free healthcare, she has to travel a distance
to receive this care. Nobody knew about the struggles that Henrietta has dealt with by Rebecca
Skloot helped her share her story. Rebecca Skloot is an author who specializes in the science and
medical category and is mostly known for her book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. In
this book she writes, Henrietta was a black woman born of slavery and sharecropping who fled
north for prosperity, only to have her cells used as tools by white scientists without her consent.
(Skloot) For the reason that Henrietta was black, the doctors at Johns Hopkins thought that they
were capable of doing whatever they wanted with her. They viewed her as an experiment
Considering her cells are unlike others and they never asked her for her permission. The racial
aspect played a huge role in the impact of HeLa cells. If they did not occur, then the whole world

Write An Argumentative Essay On Flibanserin
Female Viagra May Get Approved by FDA This Week Flibanserin, a drug designed to increase
libido in women also known as female Viagra , could be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration this week. FDA approval of the female Viagra would be unprecedented, as no
such drug has ever been approved before. WHAT IS FLIBANSERIN? Unlike Viagra, flibanserin
aims to raise libido by targeting the female brain s pleasure center instead of the genitals.
Proponents of the cite the lack of a female equivalent to Viagra. Unlike men, there is no drug on

Long Beach For My Clinical Rotation
I had the privilege of going to Smith Elementary School in Long beach for my clinical rotation. I
didn t know what to expect before going in, but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted with
friendly smiles. Nurse Olga was the most friendliest nurse and she showed me how things
worked around her facility. They have computer system program that shows all the teachers can
look at to find out their student s health conditions. The nursing office had pretty much all the
basic equipments that she would need to take care of her patients. My activities included signing
in patients as they came in, prioritizing care based on complaints. Checking patient s temperature
was very common and I had to call several parent to pick up their children due to fever and
malaise. I learned how to give vision and hearing test to children. Couple patients had routine
medications like Albuterol and Clonidine. Most of all I had to treat basic wound care. As I
observed NurseOlga s daily routine, she practices all the components of the community based care.
She taught her patients on self care, preventive care, continuity of care, and collaborative care. Her
role as a teacher was that she told her patients on how to care for their wounds and how to take their
medications. She told them what they can do to prevent from getting hurt in the playground.
Couple students were daily visitors because they had chronic conditions like asthma and they
needed their regular Albuterol inhalers.

  • 2. Modern Day Drivers Research Paper Since the dawn of motorized transportation, the modern world has utilized its convenience of interconnectivity. As subsequent generations utilize the vehicle s convenience, more drivers populate roadways and inherently increase the risk of traffic incidents due to inattentiveness and excessive speed. These modern day drivers are protected by the safety systems of the vehicles and roads, driver education and enforced trafficlaws. Law enforcement currently relies on speed traps, guilty conscience and traffic calming measures to control traffic safety. In the face of this current technological world, these methods of enforcement prove to be non uniform and unreliable. With speed continually being a major cause to many types of crashes and fatalities,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even though the importance of such may be unknown, drivers understand that lawful speed limits exist at least from the day they earn their permit. From a national survey conducted by the National Highway Safety and Traffic Association, 30% of drivers strongly agreed that there is no excuse to exceed the posted limit; 18% somewhat agreed. Likewise, 67% strongly agreed and 24% somewhat agreed that everyone should obey the speed limit because it s the law [1, 34]. Drivers want to respect speeding laws because it they trust other drivers will do the same, but whether the drivers actually choose to obey the laws is another story. From the same survey, the most frequent reasons for speeding were 35% for being late, 31% for emergencies, 10% for not paying attention, 7% for being in a hurry and 7% for keeping up with traffic flow [1, 43]. Drivers of this fast paced nation may sometimes set aside their judgment and break the law to meet its demands. Enforcement of speed regulations is directed to protect all drivers with uniform limitations. We all know that this doesn t happen. These are ideal systems. So what s the real ... • 5. Critical Analysis Of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken Critical Analysis of Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken The speaker in Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken gives the reader insight into human nature with each line of poetry. While, Frost had not originally intended for this to be an inspirational poem, line by line, the speaker is encouraging each reader to seek out his or her own personal path in the journey of life. Romanticizing the rural woods of New England creates the perfect setting for the theme of self discovery laid out and described by the speaker. Robert Frost s original intent in writing the poem was not to convey the inspiration that it has for almost a hundred years. He had written the poem to poke fun at his friend, Edward Thomas, with whom he had taken many walks. Thomas was hesitant and always wondering what would happen if he had chosen a different path (http://www.yoga.com/raw/readings/frost_road.html). In fact, Frost sent the poem to his friend, then in France, and got the response, ?What are you trying to do with me?? (http://www.libarts.sfasu.edu/Frost/PopPoems.html). However, Frost did see the impact the poem was having and stated, Do not follow where the path may lead?Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. The speaker communicates many things in the first stanza of the poem. The first line, ?Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,? uses imagery with the color yellow, the color of gold, to show that the speaker sees an opportunity ahead of him. The two roads symbolizes the choices and consequences he must choose. The next line, ?And sorry I could not travel both,? illustrates how difficult it is to make a choice. It is impossible not to wonder what could happen by choosing the other road and what he could be missing out on. ?And being one traveler long I stood,? shows how the speaker would like to be in two places at once. Unable to accomplish this, he takes a long time to decide on what he should do. Finally, the speaker describes studying the first option, looking as far into the future as he possibly could with the lines, ?And looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth.? The speaker continues to convey his message in the second stanza of ?The Road Not Taken.? In the opening line of this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Realizing how many people inhabit the world today it s not hard to believe that there are literally thousands of religions out there. Making a choice as to what religion you fit into can be a daunting task. Even if you already practice a set religion sometimes its hard to know if you are putting your faith in the right hands so to speak. • 8. Caesar Augustus Legacy Caesar Augustus: *** What s in a name? A name is a defining characteristic of a human being. It carries with it accomplishments, traits, stories, and a legacy. When Caesar Augustus radically changed Roman civilization, he established a legacy that would far outlive him. After years of political turmoil, he brought the city and the empire from the chaos of civil war to a system of ordered and stable government (Shotter, Introduction). Along with his strong influence on government policies, his influence found its way into parts of culture such as architecture, religion, and literature as well. In doing this, Caesar Augustuscreated a name for himself that would transcend the ages. Augustus was born as Gaius Octavius on September 23, 63 B.C. (Richardson 4). Showing promise as young man, his great uncle, Julius Caesar, took special interest in him, giving him jobs and experience in the political world. Caesar eventually developed a relationship so close with him that he considered Octavius his adopted son (Shotter, Ch. 2). When Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March, his murderers, Brutus and Cassius, had no plans for the future other than believing that the death of the tyrant would automatically lead to the Restorations of the Republic, and instead plunged Rome into a fresh round of civil conflict for thirteen more years (Shotter Ch. 2; Bentley et al. 223). This problem sets up the need for a political figure to fix these pressing issues, and harboring ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Clinical Pastoral Education Trauma is defined as: a.an injury (as a wound) to living tissue caused by an extrinsic agent; b.a disordered psychic or behavioral state resulting from severe mental or emotional stress or physical injury; c.an emotional upset. Trauma comes from the Greek пЃ”пЃІпЃЎпЃµпЃпЃЎпЂ пЂ meaning wound, and пЃўпЃ¬пЃЎпЃўпЃЁпЂ пЂпЂ meaning damage, harm, or impairment. Trauma affects every body. The traumatized person will experience dissociation, disbelief, isolation, and hopelessness. They will often wonder Where is God and why has he left me? I am going to concentrate on definitions b and c above because although the trauma patient is at the hospital because of a , there is nothing we as chaplains can do about that. That part of the trauma is the concern of the medical staff. Let us first look at who are victims are. As I see it, there are four victims to every trauma the patient(s), the family, the staff, and you. It seems that in our hurry to treat the patient we often move the others to a secondary or tertiary role (the staff and you). This is not necessarily the case. If you don t take care of you, then the others will not be able to benefit from your ministry. This is where CPE comes in. A trauma chaplain without multiple units of CPE cannot possibly be prepared to handle the day to day activities of an emergency room let alone a trauma center. Sealcoat Case Study 4 Problems That Can Happen With An Asphalt Sealcoat For A Parking Lot The first impression you make on your customers is when they pull up to your business and park in your parking lot. You want to make sure that the parking lot appears to be well maintained, and one way you can do that is by applying a sealcoat to the asphalt. The thin layer of sealant is designed to protect the asphalt and extend its life, but it does not come without its own set of problems. An asphalt sealcoat can have any of these 4 problems that you will need to address. Tiny Cracks and Spider Lines A sign that your asphalt sealcoat is wearing thin is when you start noticing small hairline cracks on the surface. This happens naturally over time due to the asphalt sealant breaking down. You may notice it more in the actual parking spots, because leaking fluids from cars can speed up the deterioration... Chipping It is common to see chipping if you are located in a dry climate, and it will be more noticeable around edges of the parking lot that are prone to becoming damaged. A little bit of chipping is normal, but major chipping is a red flag that you need to reseal your parking lot. Chipping can occur due to the original sealant being installed improperly, usually because the sealant did not have a high amount of adhesive content to perform an optimal seal. This can easily happen if you try doing the job yourself and make a mistake in the application process. Sticky Surfaces Since asphalt sealers use tar, you may notice that surface of your parking lot is sticky when the temperature outside is very hot. You should be concerned if you have a long length of extremely high temperatures, because the sealcoat can breakdown faster than normal. It may require resealing earlier than you intended. ... • 12. Womanhood In Pop Culture American media is a powerful shaping force in developing values and behavior. As an institution, the media wields the power to form, reinforce and dismantle gender ideologies (Stillman 51) which have long lasting and negative results. Both magazines and television reflect behaviors, such as gossip and sexual behaviors, already present within American culture (Stillman 52, MacKay and Covell 573), but the mediaalso creates new patterns of behavior that are then flooded into popular culture. In the United States, many people s behavior and thoughts on daily life are based on what is being presented in television, young women especially. The images and realities being displayed on American television contradicts Biblical womanhood by targeting specific virtues of Biblical women and highlighting opposite characteristics. A specific contradiction to Biblical womanhood presented often on television is gossip. The Bible teaches that women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers (Titus 2:3). When the Biblical teaching against gossip is ignored by the media, the destructive behavior of gossip and slander spreads violently among the women who watch television shows in which gossip is prevalent. Gossip and slander lead to relational aggression among women, especially those who are bombarded with images of women engaging in gossip and slander on television constantly (Goldberg, Smith Adcock and Dixon 379). Because the Biblical teaching against gossip is unheeded, relational aggression among women due to gossip and slander has become an accepted part of life. That is to say, hostile behavior among women is now considered to be normal as a result of the relationally aggressive images presented on television. Television ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Firstly, the church is located in Orange County, specifically Irvine which has a vibrant religious scene. With a wide variety of churches to choose from in the area, Free Chapel has to think of new and innovative ways to entice people to attend their church. He opined that aside from the economic motives upon which the partition was based, there was indeed, consideration of strategic and political motives as well. From his perspective, the political elites in Britain had no plan for Africa; instead they were promoting their own preferences in Asia which was aimed at defending the crucial stake in both India and the East (p. 366). Furthermore, the development of transportation was paramount to the Middle East war because it promoted the development of Africa transportation network which was used to transport bulky supplies from Congo Rivers, through Juba and Egypt (Hargreaves, 1988: 54). With the influence of mannerism in Renaissance , the composition of the figures intertwine and create not just complex composition but a dynamic three dimensional space. Both of the child have its left leg stepping forward, however, because of the diagonal composition in the Dolci painting and the depth expressed by the diagonal accent, it enhances the three dimensional effect. Dolci s composition is also more unified meaning the subjects form a dynamic composition relationship. There is more variation of postures in the painting and their limbs, accessories are more intertwined. The scene seems more like a happening than a positioned, still portrait. Romano s composition of the space seem to be more layer based and there are less spatial relationships between the figures. Dolci also introduced a new technique by cropping the image of the subjects with a slight highlighted line. This new technique is unique in a way that it restraint the subject in another area than the frame. This enhances the three dimensional effect evermore, giving the illusion as if the viewer would peek into the space inside of the painting, instead of looking directly at the image and associating it with areas outside of the painting such as a frame which naturally limits space and create a barrier between the viewer and the subjects in painting ... One of the major areas of strength of the AMA Code of Ethics is the principle that outlines that the physician must regard responsibility to the patient as paramount (American Medical Association, n.d., par. 9). This principle outlines that importance of putting the patient first in all care aspects when working with a patient. Along with this, other principles set forth in the AMA Code of Ethics, while involving other aspects of care, state that the rights of the patient shall be acknowledged and followed during patient care. It is very important that healthcare codes of ethics are clear in defining that the patient needs to be considered first and foremost. A weakness of the AMA Code of Ethics is concise nature of the document. While concise can also be regarded as a strength, the concise nature of this Code of Ethics is a disadvantage, as it does not allow for more clear definitions of the ethical principles. I believe that the reason for this phenomenon can be seen in the Aztec civilization dating back to the sixth century in Mexico. In the beginning, they worshipped dozens of Gods, but as the Spanish Conquest drew closer and the Aztecempire began to fall, fewer and fewer Gods were worshipped. A prime example of this is two of their Gods of agriculture, Xipe Totec and Tlaloc. Some Gods, such as their sun Gods Tonatiuh and Huitzilopochtli were worshipped in the form of Jesus. Some survived with the Nahuas, the modern day descendants of the Aztecs. Most were simply forgotten, the obvious reason for which being that there was no room for them in the monotheistic Catholic religion. As to why Xipe Totec was worshipped in the years proceeding this event, I have a theory; as all cultures spread, I believe that the version of Aztec mythology that worshipped Xipe Totec spread to the city of Tenochtitlan, one of, if not the most studied cities by modern historians. This in turn may have created a few decades where Tlaloc and Xipe Totec coexisted as two important Gods. However, I feel this may have created an inaccuracy, as some historians might assume that what happened in Tenochtitlan happened in the rest of the empire (the worship of Xipe Totec for example); this is what I consider to be the main reason Xipe Tote is considered to be important to the Aztecs today while he wasn t important back ... They were always under the instructions of their husbands and parents in law in they were treated like servants. When the arm physically moves, the response execution is occurring. During simple reaction time a subject must react to the presence of the response stimulus, such as the process that occurred with the hot water streaming from the faucet. Disjunctive reaction time occurs when a subject will have more than one choice of responses to a stimulus. Therefore, a subject must not only react to the response signal, but they must also identify which response is appropriate. In this situation, reaction time delay may be attributed to the process of identifying which response is appropriate. Disjunctive reaction time is used for the purposes of the Reaction Time experiment with the use of modality and warning signals as independent variables. Though the two types of reaction time experiments differ, both simple reaction time and disjunctive reaction time undergo similar processes including: sensory encoding, stimulus identification, response selection and response execution (as described earlier).
