Juan Observation
Juan was able to read all the words in the preprimer list with ease. He demonstrated his ability to
read all the words with fluency, up until the fourth grade words were given, is when he began to
have a few miss read words. But besides having some trouble he was still able to get fifteen
words correct from the list that he was given to read. The words in which he seems to have
difficulty with, were the ones that consisted of words that that had letters that did not make
sounds, for example, stampede. There were three passages that I administered to Juan in which I
believe would accurately determine his level of reading. These were W, X, and Y. Since he is in 5

Here is definitely when he seemed to struggle the most. He got an 86% accuracy and took longer
to read (3 minutes 36 seconds). He also seemed to get more frustrated when he read words that
he was not able to pronounce or he believed that he was not saying correct. Based on the test
administered, I determined that Juan fell in the range of an X. He is able to read the passage and
has some difficulty with the words but nothing that makes it impossible for him to read the
passage. Some patterns that can be noted is that he tends to skip some words when he is reading or
add words that are not in the text. Spelling is where Juan seemed to have some problems. He was
able to spell out the words that did not consist of a lot of words but when they began to get more
complex is when he began to have trouble. He got a 4 out of 6 in the blends and diagraphs
section, 3out of 4 in the long vowels and and managed to spell correctly 8 out of the ten words.

water samples were lactose fermenters. When the lactose broth changed from red to yellow is
indicated that acid was produced, and when the bubble was found in the Durham tube, it

of selective media. EMB agar selects for gram negative bacteria and differentiates just how strong

I feel it would take a few weeks to get this plan implemented only because it would be a change
for hospital staff and we all know at time that changes take time to get them going and all staff

every single time a dose was given and the patient would have a record of the medication they are

My expectations from implementing this action would be that more patients are aware of why a

A question that is commonly returned to in African American diaspora studies is how much should
African roots be considered in the study of African American culture, and how much influence
should African heritage have on black individuals. For Columbia professor Saidiya Hartman, this
question could only be answered by returning to the motherland. Through her journey to Ghana,
Hartman is able to redefine her identity as an African Americanwoman and better understand her
relationship to the country her ancestors were torn from. Hartman went on this journey in order to
find her own connection to her African heritage. As a graduate student doing research on slavery,
she stumbled upon a reference to her great great grandmother. Hartman was only served
disappointment as she read further. When her kin was asked what she remembered about being a
slave, her answer was simple: Not a thing. As she reaches out to family to learn more about their
history with slavery, she is thwarted and discouraged at every attempt. This is what leads Hartman
to fill in the blank spaces of the historical record and to represent the lives of those deemed

Scarlet Letter Pearl Character Traits
The characters in The Scarlet Letter are individually viewed differently by the people in the town.
Pearl, the infant in the beginning scaffold scene, is a complex character in the novel that is
subjected to the cruel comments and rude behavior of the townspeople. Although Pearl is shown as
a human character just like all the other characters, Pearls main purpose is to be a living,
complicated symbol for the scarlet letterA that her mother is forced to wear. Along with the letter

It was not just Pearl s aggressive, imaginative form of play that got her in trouble; Pearl was a
bad, misbehaved child. Pearl lacked reference and adaptation to the world into which she was
born. The child could not be made amenable to rules (page 74). Pearl was an outcast, along with
her mother. She did not fit in with the community. How could she fit into a community that
valued order over everything else? Pearl who was a dauntless child (page 83) did not even act
like the other children. After frowning, stamping her and shaking her little hand with a variety

grows up and the novel goes on, there is more and more evidence that Pearl may just be as evil
as everyone thought to begin with. While Pearl is playing in the flowers one afternoon, she
begins to throw flowers at the scarlet letter on her mother s chest. When Pearl was finally out of
ammunition, she stood still and gazed at Hester. That little laughing image of a demon peeped out

As the strategic marketing analyst for IndyCar, I believe it is in our best interest to orchestrate
IndyCar Series races in the United States, with one single game in a foreign market; preferably a
Hispanic market. CART tried to tap into the foreign market even while utilizing foreign drivers, but

Americans and began races in foreign countries and they put too much focus on promoting top
