Essay On Legalizing Weed
Crafting an essay on the subject of legalizing weed can be both challenging and intriguing. The
complexity arises from the multifaceted nature of the topic, encompassing legal, social, medical,
and ethical dimensions. Navigating through these intricate layers requires a careful balance to
present a well-rounded perspective.
The legal aspect involves understanding the current legal status of marijuana in various
jurisdictions and the historical context of its prohibition. This necessitates thorough research into
the legislative frameworks and any ongoing debates or changes in regulations. Analyzing the
social implications involves delving into the cultural attitudes toward marijuana, considering its
impact on communities, and evaluating public opinion.
From a medical standpoint, one must delve into the scientific literature to explore the potential
benefits and risks associated with marijuana use. Understanding the chemical composition,
therapeutic applications, and potential adverse effects requires a deep dive into the medical
research landscape. Ethical considerations come into play as well, examining questions of
personal autonomy, individual freedoms, and the broader societal implications of legalization.
Moreover, crafting a compelling argument involves synthesizing diverse perspectives and
addressing counterarguments effectively. Striking the right balance between emotion and logic,
while maintaining a coherent flow, adds another layer of complexity. The writer must carefully
select and organize information to construct a persuasive narrative that engages the reader.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the legalization of weed demands a nuanced approach,
requiring a thorough examination of legal, social, medical, and ethical aspects. Navigating this
complex landscape necessitates meticulous research, critical thinking, and effective
communication skills. Nevertheless, it is through this process that a well-crafted essay can
emerge, contributing to a broader understanding of the subject.

of referring to emperors as gods along with there families too. This was not always
approved for example in Rome and Italy, it was not right to worship a living emperor.
This helped bring the focus to these emperors.

Automobile Insurance Required By Law
Insurance is an arrangement by which a company or government agency provides
a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return
for payment of a premium. It is a type of risk management by which an individual
or agency acknowledges a situation where a loss is possible, and then measures the
probability and severity of that loss. Funds are gathered into a larger pool of funds,
and then paid out to individuals who experience the loss. This provides protection
from the burden of risks associated with such situations. Law mandates some types of
insurances while others are purchased at the discretion of individuals. I believe that
law should mandate the purchase of automobileinsurance, but homeowners insurance

About 44 million people in this country have no health insurance, and another 38
million have inadequate health insurance. This means that nearly one third of
Americans face each day without knowing that, if and when they need it, medical
care may not be available to them and their families. The United States is one of
the only modernized countries left in the world without a universal healthcare
system for their citizens. In fact, out of the 34 member countries of the
Organization for Economic Co operation and Development (or OECD) only the
United States and Mexico do not have universal health care . And in 2014, the
Commonwealth Fund ranked the United States last in overall health care behind (in
order) the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, Germany, Netherlands,
New Zealand, Norway, France, and Canada . Another study conducted by the
World Health Organization ranked the US #37 out of 191 countries, between
Costa Rica and Slovenia in overall health care . The United States spent $8,508 per
person on health care in 2011 while the OECD member average was $3,322 per
person . One estimate shows that with a single payer health care program run under
government control 95% of US households would save money. Paying for health care
is the top financial problem for US households with the cost of family health
insurance premiums having increased 80%
Themes Of Conflicts In The Maltese Falcon
Dashiell Hammett who worked for a detective agency, wrote the novel The Maltese
Falcon in 1929. In this novel the protagonist is a fictional character that Hammett
created and named Sam Spade. Sam is a private detective hired by another character
in the novel named Brigid O Shaughnessy. Being a detective comes with many job
responsibilities and being a private detective becomes even more complicated. In
Hammett s novel there are many conflicts throughout his writing. Most conflicts have
to do with Spade in some form considering he is the detective and also the
protagonist. Are the conflicts in the story relating to Spade within himself; man
versus self, or caused by another character; man versus man? When it comes to
conflicts in literature there are two main types; internal and external. There are
multiple different types of conflicts that can appear in literature, usually all stories or
novels have at least one conflict. What is a story without a conflict? An internal
conflict is a conflict that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Lastly when an issue with a character and their government or society comes up in

Stakeholder Analysis of the Affordable Care Act

According to Roy, 2013 the issues of providing the affordable care act will unite
both the supporters and offenders of the public policy, but in this current situation
where the input costs are rising, it will become impossible for government in
managing the public policy related to affordable health care. In order to provide
affordable health care, majority of the US government has tried out different policies
time to time, but unable to get success in realizing the actual policy goals. By

Can a Lack of Physical Education Classes in High Schools...

Physical education hopes to accomplish, to engage all students, not just the athlete

Dante s Inferno And Beowulf Analysis
Importance of Name and Remember in Dante s Inferno and Beowulf
One of the important themes that stands out in Dante s epic poem, Inferno , is a
theme of legacy via endurance of one s name. In other words, the human need to
have one s name and story shared with others in an effort to gain some sense of
immortality. Even from the depths of hell the characters in the Inferno express a wish
to have their stories told. The Inferno tells of Dante s adventure through the depths of
Hell with the spirit of the great Roman poet Virgil as his guide. In this epic
adventure, Dante treks the Nine Circles of Hell and in each circle he encounters
prominent figures in both his personal life and in history. The poem as a whole is a
commentary on sins and transgressions, but the significance of these transgressions
are amplified with the attachment of names we the readers recognize from history
and literature. Among them are figures one would expect to be Hell for their
famous transgressions such as Judas Iscariot, Attila the Hun and Brutus but also
more surprisingly Ulysses, the hero from Homer s Iliad and Odyssey, who is in the
Eighth Circle of Hell for the crime of spiritual theft and Pope Celestine V, whom
Dante condemns for abdicating the papacy and thus allowed Pope Boniface VIII to
become the new pope. This was a transgression worthy of hell in Dante s eyes
because historically Pope Boniface VIII was something of a rival to Dante, who had
been an advocate for the separation of
The Theory Of Games And Economic Behavior
Introduction Game theory is a branch of applied mathematics that provides tools for
analyzing situations in which players make judgements that are interdependent. This
interdependence forces opposing players to consider the other party s strategies when
formulating their own. These opposing players either have parallel, contradictory, or
mixed interests they are trying achieve through the game. A solution to a game
describes the optimal decisions of the players and the outcomes that may result from
these decisions.
Although game theory can be and has been used to analyze mainstream games, its
applications are much broader. In fact, game theory was originally developed by the
Hungarian born American mathematician John von Neumann and ... Show more

It has been used, for example, to determine what political or business alliances are
likely to form, the optimal price at which to sell products or services in the face of
competition, whom to select for a jury, and the behavior of certain animals and plants
in their struggle for survival.
It is very difficult to categorize every game in one single theory. A number of theories
have been proposed, each applicable to different situations and each with its own
concepts of what constitutes a solution. This paper describes some simple games,
discusses different theories, and outlines the principles underlying game theory.
When analyzing any game, we make the following assumptions about all players:
Each player makes the best possible move.
Each player knows that his or her opponent is also making the best possible moves
Games can be split into many different categories: finite and infinite, cooperative,
and non cooperative, 1, 2, or n person games, variable or constant sum games. For
the most part, this paper will talk about non cooperative 2 person variable and
constant sum games.
It is also important to note that there are many ways to describe a game; that is, to
show the payoffs. The three ways are: extensive, normal (strategic), or characteristic
function form. Extensive form is used to describe games where the sequence of
moves changes the outcome of the
How Did Hitler Use Communication In Ww2

Radio communications during WWI and WWII were used to tell of hitler s
propaganda trying to persuade the people to follow him. Many people believed that
the concentration camps were helpful to the jews because Hitler s propaganda on the
radio truly hid the reality of what was going on in the camps.
For instance, Hitler used propaganda such as newspapers, radio stations, and the

The Charge Of The Light Brigade Analysis
Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote the The Charge of the Light Brigade on December
2nd, 1854, and it was then published on December 9th. This poem was written
following the disastrous Battle of Balaklava, between the British Light Brigade
forces and the Russian forces (Connors 3). Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote this poem to
commemorate the lives lost, and it seems to be littered with Biblical allusions.
Specifically, this poem has striking diction similarity to Psalm 23 from the King
James Version of the Bible. This discovery spurs the question of whether AlfredLord
Tennyson was directly influenced by the Psalm, and if so, in what way?
The Charge of the Light Brigade was written when Lord Tennyson learned of the
carnage at the decisive and devastating Battle of Balaklava for the British. The
battle was initiated when the overall commander of British forces, Lord Raglan,
ordered the Light Brigade to follow but not to attack the Russian enemy. Through
the chain of command, this message was distorted and then one of the commanders,
Lord Nolan, drove the final nail in the coffin as he ambiguously ordered the troops
to seize the Russian guns as he gestured in the general direction of both the hilltop
redoubts and the adjacent valley (Connors 2). The troops, confused by this order,
followed their leader into battle since they knew it was not their place to argue. The
ensuing battle led to the death of half of the Light Brigade (Connors 2). Due to this
tragic event, the British people
Morning on a Saturday
Ugh! As much as I love Drake s music, I hate the fact that it s waking me up this at

until noon, or maybe falling on my carpet does not seem too bad because it is soft

I wouldn t do something stupid like that unless there was a good reason. I just can t
remember what it is. Suddenly, somebody literally starts to bang on my door like
they re crazy or something. It s early in the morning and whoever it is wants to

is it? I yell with irritation thick in my voice. I ve been waiting on you for about half

What are you waiting for? I ask, not realizing how rude that was until her facial

The On The Land Registration Act
CRITICALLY ANALYZE THE CHANGES BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE LAND
REGISTRATION ACT 2012 IN THE MANAGEMENT OF REAL PROPERTY IN
KENYA TAKING NOTE TO EXPLORE IN DETAIL THE FRAMEWORK THAT
HAS BEEN RELACED.
INTRODUCTION
The land registration ACT is an act of Parliament to revise, consolidate and
rationalize the registration of titles to land, to give effect to the principles and objects
of devolved government in land registration, and for connected purposes. What was
being revised is the old registration act which had to be altered to accommodate the
changes in the government layout and the mountain of complains they were
receiving from the public. The new act had to be physically more solid and efficient
if implemented well. The loopholes that were found in the earlier act had to be done
away with.
Land is one of the most controversial things in Kenya. So many people have been
displaced and their land grabbed by individuals who have developed talent in this
sector who have made it a business venture. Land that was designated for agriculture
and also as green zone have been depleted which has led major cities in Kenya such
as Nairobi unsustainable.
The current situation in Kenya is such that people do not know the boundary of their
land and most of the time they encroach on peoples land which has led to major
conflicts. The revised land registration act wants to remedy this situation so that
Kenya can be a safe zone when for both the citizens and investors.

Federalism In Australia Summary
In the article, Federalism in Australian Constitutional interpretation: signs of
reinvigoration? , Chordia and Lynch explore the constitutional interpretative approach
used by the majority in Amalgamated Society of Engineers v Adelaide Steamship Co
Ltd (1920). The article discusses the key factors in the majority s decision in
Engineers that disadvantaged the states by significantly increasing the power of the
Commonwealth.
Tension between the principles of responsible government and federalism was
anticipated by the framers of the constitution, predicting that the one of the two will
eventually cancel the other one out. This tension surfaced in the majorities decision
in Engineers and is explored using the historical evidence of the framers intentions,
the ideas that influenced them, and Justice Gageler s critique of the Engineers
decision. Chordia and Lynch argue that the majorities decision in Engineers focused
on responsible government, while completely ignoring the principles of Federalism.
This is evident in the delivery of the majorities decision, declaring that the two
fundamental features of the Australian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondly, Gageler argues that the people of the Commonwealth and the people of the
states are members of a unified sovereign nation rather than members of opposing
groups. As such, the principles of responsible government hold that the laws of the
commonwealth hold government accountable to a unified Crown and to the
Australian people. The third argument is that federalism should only function within
situations that directly involve an interference between the commonwealth and the
states. In particular, this third argument corresponds with the nationalist model of
federation that supports a single unified head of
Essay about Educating Students With Emotional and
Behavior...
In reading chapter seven of the textbook, the education of students with emotional
and behavior disorders was not common before the turn of the twentieth century.
Before children were thought of as having mental illnesses, many researchers
thought that this was only diagnosed in adults. For a child to be known to have a
mental issue back in the nineteenth century was said to be evil or satanic. It was
very challenging to study emotional behavior disorders in children. Unfortunately,
there was no way to describe the disorder. Doctors and professional were terrified to
admit that children could have mental illnesses. In the 1960 s, schools began to

Unlike the terms being used differently, there are two federal definitions of emotional
disturbance one by IDEA and the second coined by the National Mental Health and
Special Education Coalition. In the medical profession, emotional behaviors deal
with other existing factors. Some emotional and behavior disorders are described in
the medical profession as mental illnesses. These disorders include conduct
disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and mood disorders. Students that are
identified with emotional and behavior disorders have two types of behaviors
internalizing and externalizing behaviors. However, many students with these
behaviors have underlying factors such as signs of depression, poor social skills and
low or average intellectual ability. As with other disabilities, students with emotional
and behavior disorders are diagnosed with learning disabilities and ADHD. Research
cannot prove this, but there are more males diagnosed with emotional disorders than
females. When qualifying a child in public schools as having an emotional
disturbance they must be assessed informally and formally. In order for a student to
meet eligibility for this disorder, the team along with the parents must meet to see if
the child meets one or more of the characteristics to qualify.
After students qualify IDEA requires that schools use specific procedures that can be
documented to help educate

Social Pressure For Cis White Straight Males
MOGAI people are underrepresented in Computer Science and Computer
engineering due to many of the same reasons why women are underrepresented: the
amount of social pressure for cis white straight conservative males (CWSCMs) to go
into STEM and for those not CWSCMs to pursue more fitting positions and fields;
the amount of brogrammer, brogamer, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia,
xenophobia, and straight male dominance in STEM and tech fields and culture; and
finally the amount of inequitable barriers to STEM and tech fields. This is entirely
unethical and needs to be changed greatly to improve STEM and tech fields, along
with giving equity to MOGAI individuals and the community. In addition, many
argue that these demands would be special or extra rights, which is inaccurate as this
assumes the actions needed to boost non CWSCM people to equitable positions
would cause an inequitable situation for CWSCMs.
Discussion
A 2015 report of Queer in STEM: Workplace Experiences Reported in a National

gendered culture in STEM workplaces in fields with fewer women, the climate may

falls under two categories of Dr. Elzar s three political subcultures, which are
individualistic and traditionalistic.
Being that Houston is a city with many businesses, one can conclude that the political
subculture in the city is individualistic. For instance, when Annise Parker, who is
openly gay in the conservative state of Texas, was running for mayor of Houston,
she spoke about her experience with the city s finances and how that experience will
allow her to help the city in the financial crisis it was going through (). Annise Parker
won the election regardless of her sexuality. The assumption that one can make is that
the fact that Annise Parker has good financial experience, motivated business owners,
and entrepreneurs to vote for her on behalf of their own self interest, which is to have

For instance,
Emperor Nero is reported to have engaged in a marriage ceremony with one of his
male slaves. Emperor Elagabalus married a Carian slave named Hierocles.
It should be noted, however, that conubium existed only between a civis Romanus
and a civis Romana (that is, between a male Roman citizen and a female Roman
citizen), so that a so called marriage between two Roman males (or with a slave)
would have no legal standing in Roman law (apart, presumably, from the arbitrary
will of the emperor in the two aforementioned cases). Furthermore, matrimonium is
an institution involving a mother, mater.
The idea implicit in the word is that a man takes a woman in marriage, in
matrimonium ducere, so that he may have children by her. Still, the lack of legal
validity notwithstanding, there is a consensus among modern historians that same
sex relationships existed in ancient Rome, but the exact frequency and nature of same
sex unions during that period is obscure.
In 342 AD Christian emperors Constantius II and Constans issued a law in the
Theodosian Code (C. Th. 9.7.3) prohibiting same sex marriage in Rome and ordering
execution for those so married.
The first documented same sex marriage was between the two men Pedro DГaz and

rays. Marie tested numerous elements to find if other ones than Uranium would make
the air conduct electricity better.
Pierre was so interested in Marie s work, that he joined forces with her. Her research
had revealed that two uranium ores, pitchblende and chalcolite were much more
radioactive that pure uranium. Marie concluded that the highly radioactive nature of
these ores may possibly be due to undiscovered elements.
In July of 1898, Marie and Pierre Cure discovered Polonium. They named the element
after Marie s birth country, Poland. Chemically, this new element was very similar to
bismuth, but it contained radioactivity, so it must be new. In December of 1898, the
Curie s discovered yet another element. They named this one radium, from the Latin
word for ray. The two new elements had completely different chemical properties, but
they both had very strong radioactivity.
It was not easy for Marie and Pierre to convince the science community of their new
findings. Marie succeeded in separating the radium from the barium, but it wasn t
easy. She had to treat very large amounts of pitchblende, but she had plenty of
pitchblende to use. (The Curie s
Social Intelligence And Emotional Intelligence
High school is the time in a students life where learning how to understand others
emotions is key to their education. Learning how others emotions can influence their
own and how to respond to it can have a positive influence on their psyche and
teaches how to be socially aware of how their emotions can be interpreted. They need
to have the capacity to discern and respond appropriately to others emotions. To
ensure this possibility, the teachers need to be competent in this area. High school
teachers should exhibit social intelligenceand emotional intelligenceto ensure students
are self aware of one s emotional state and others.
Social intelligence is a combination of social awareness and social facility. Social
awareness involves ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Self presentation is basically presenting ourselves in ways that make a good
impression. Teachers usually need to make a good first impression in front of their
students because it usually sets how the students will treat them throughout the
course of the year. By being socially intelligent, the teacher can get a read on their
crowd so they can respond accordingly.
Charisma is one aspect of self presentation that peaks in effective speaking. Women
are usually more emotionally expressive than men, but are often constrained by the
norms of the workplace where crying and being angry can be a no no. An
exception to the anger rule is the boss. It may not seem out of place when it comes
from the boss because they are in a position of leadership and may be unsatisfied
with their team. Influence is shaping the outcome of social situations. Skillful and
subtle use of acknowledged power like the very best police officers.
Concern is for those most susceptible to emotional contagiousness are those most
moved to help others, and act on it. Concern becomes potent when harnessed to high
road abilities. Concern is at the root of the helping professions such as medicine and
social work, who thrive when concern waxes, but burn out as it wanes (Gardner 177).

Essay on Flannery OConnor
Flannery OConnor In her short story Everything That Rises Must Converge,
Flannery O Connor allows the story to be told from the perspective of Julian, a
recent college graduate who appears to be waiting for a job, while living at home
with his mother. His relationship with his mother is rocky at times, to say the least. It
is constantly mired with conflicts about the Old South and the New South . Julian
must come to terms with himself, either he is an over protective son or just a pain in
her ass. Even though Julian seems to dislike his mother s viewpoints, he continues to
depends on her for stability . When the final confrentation between Julian s mother
and the large black women results in her having a heart attack, to which... Show more

Julian does not like his mother. To him she is an embarassment, a burden and
backwards to his new way of thinking. He himself, has learned to recognize racism,
and argues against it. However, when his mother is the instigator, the issue
becomes more personal, and he defends her. Some how like picking on my baby
brother it is alright, but when someone else does it offends me. Julian does take
into account that he is educated and presumes himself to be opposite of his
mother, but he finds that it is not true, and he remains a racist. Instead of
confronting this as a problem, he seeks to belittle his mother. When the Negro
women enters the bus, he wishes she would sit beside his mother in order to
disturb her. He could think of no better arrangement . Yet to his annoyance, she
squeezes herself into the seat next to him . His lack of insight regarding their
relationship is revealed when he fantasizes himself presenting his mother with a
black acquaitance: either a business associate, a lover or even the doctor he could
hire to heal her. When he asks the man with the paper for a light (he has nothing to
smoke), embarrassing himself solely to perplex her. He remains a racist not because
it was instilled in him by his mother, but because he continues to exploit the black
culture for the sole purpose of changing his mother. Julian s culture in his own mind
fails because it does not touch his being.

Economic commission for Africa: A perspective of foreign direct investment (FDI)
inflows and intra trade relations
Abraham Rukevwe Idogho
Summary of EC mandate
Primarily, the Economic commission for Africa (EC) pursue an integrated economic
agenda , which calls for free trade and custom union agreements among the various
trading blocs in Africa, and it also provides platforms for global demand for African
exports, attract inflows of foreign direct investments (FDI), and negotiate favourable
trade agreements with foreign equals. However, like most institutions, the EC

a)FDI outflows from developing Asia
b)Rising operational cost in China
c)Latin America and Caribbean becoming hot spots
Analysis:
FDI outflows from developing Asia
With globalization and technological advancements comes offshoring the
movement of services or manufacturing to another country in an attempt to take
advantage of favorable business conditions in that country. As a result of
offshoring, the last decade saw significant amount of capital flight to developing
Asia. Skilled work force, availability of labour, low wages, and easy access to
supplies, were some of the factors influencing the move of FDI to the region.
Although recent economic data suggest that developing Asia holds 52% of global
FDI (UNCTAD 2014), the region s FDI inflow has been declining since 2011 (UN
2014). A significant cause of this FDI decline is from West Asia with 20% from 2012
(Asia top the world in FDI 2014). So, the economic ill of developing Asia is whose
gain?
Rising operational cost in china: That said, recent reports suggest that China, the
biggest economy with 1/3rd of total FDI to developing Asia is facing an era of
outward capital flight , as major companies are moving their manufacturing and
service operations out of the country (economist 2014). Multinationals have seen their
profits suffer as a result of high

The Effects Of School Shooting
In Littleton, Colorado, April 20, 1999, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris killed
thirteen people and wounded more than 20 people at Columbine High School
(History.com 1). This act of violence affected many people directly. The families,
friends, classmates, and school faculty were directly affected by it because they
personally knew the victims and the shooters. This massacre is still an important
event to remember to this day. Many people can learn from what happened and the
causes for this act. Schools in the United States have also been greatly affected by
it by enforcing school to not tolerate disruptive behavior and bullying (4). Because
of the Columbine shooting, there have been quite a few changes with schools and
security (Criminal Justice Degrees Guide 1). Since the massacre, security at
schools has heightened to the point where schools have installed metal detectors
and security cameras (1). Here at De Queen High School, like in many other
schools, have installed security cameras and have hired cops to patrol around the
school in order to attempt to keep the school as safe as possible. The shooting at
Columbine High School has by far been one of the worst school shootings in U.S.
history that have made a great impact on many others. This school shooting is very
significant because during the 1900s school shootings were not something that
people were worried about all the time, The crime was the worst high school shooting

Summary OfAll Summer In A Day By Ray Bradbury
In the story, All Summer in a Day, Ray Bradbury draws us in, as readers, with a
story that takes place on the planet Venus. The environment of Venus is as
described in this quote, It had been raining for seven years; thousands upon
thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with rain,
with the gush and gush of water...fall of showers and the concussion of storms so
heavy they were tidal waves come over the islands... (Bradbury, 1954) With an
environment like this, what type of people would those on Venus be if they had
never felt, saw, or experienced the sun before? The only one that has experienced
and remembers the sun is a young girl, Margot. Margot lived on Earth until she
was four years old, unlike the others who have been living underground in Venus
for their entire lives. Because of this, Margot is constantly facing problems
regarding her classmates jealousy of her past opportunities. Without the sun, she
has become, as Bradbury writes, ...a very frail girl who looked as if she had been
lost in the rain for years and the rain had washed out the blue from her eyes and the
red from her mouth and the yellow from her hair. She was an old photograph
dusted from an album, whitened away, and if she spoke at all her voice would be a
ghost. (1954, Bradbury) In this short story by Bradbury, the theme is that jealousy
and ignorance can blind us from seeing things how they really are. This is shown
time after time when Margot is harassed, depressed, and isolated because of her
classmates jealousy. To begin, a way that Bradbury shows us that jealousy and
ignorance can shield a person from the truth is through the main character, Margot,
who is constantly being harassed by her classmates. The only reason Margot s
classmates harass her is because she remembers the sun. This makes her different
from all the others, who have lived here on Venus since birth. In this way, they are
uneducated or ignorant because they have never experienced the sun. Because she is
different, the classmates take every chance they have to harass her in any way they
can. Right before the sun came out, one of the rare events that Margot was greatly
looking forward to, the classmates ...surged about her, caught her
The North Face
The North Face is a rapidly growing brand that started out as a small shop in San
Francisco, California. It was founded by two hikers as a small mountaineering retail
shop, but has since taken off to become a world renowned chain with high quality
outdoor clothing and gear. The quality and variety of the brandhas encouraged the
extreme sport goers to continue to shop and spread the word of its reliability. This
is important for a lot of the consumers because the Earth is nothing to mess with.
They need reliable outerwear to keep them warm if they are climbing Mount
Everest or even if they are just skiing down some easy bunny slopes in Colorado.
The growth rate of the business alone shows the quality of the brand, but is not the
only reason the brand has done so well. The logoplays a huge role in the spread of a
business. All it takes is a glance at someone s jacket for a new customer to discover
the iconic brand.
The North Face logo is brilliant in the fact that it is simple yet unmistakable. At first
glance, one might consider The North Face logo is too simple, but in reality that is
the beauty of it. This simple logo design helps a viewer stray away from any
unintended conclusions by random bystanders. It is evident the designer of this logo
used many of Gestalt s laws when constructing the logo. One might think Gestalt s
laws are completely optional in a well constructed logo, but that is not entirely the
case. A scientific study was conducted in order to determine

Canadian Politics In Western Canada
Introduction: Canadian politics has always been defined by the federal government s
interactions with the various regions and provinces within Canada. Over time,
Canadian politics has evolved to be focused on three individual issues: the federal
government s attempt to keep Quebec within the federation, the economic, political,
and cultural dominance of Ontario, and, from a Western Canadian point of view, the
subordination of the West. The popularity of the latter notion has become
increasingly prominent within the Western provinces over the previous decades, due
to the government s focus on the former two issues. And, for many Western
Canadians, their relationship with the federal government has largely been defined
around Ottawa s refusal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Prior to 2011, the two wealthiest provinces in Canada were Alberta and
Saskatchewan, with British Columbia and Manitoba still wealthier than most of
Canada. And, much of this growth is fueled by oil revenue. As a result of this, much
of the equalization program is paid for through the contributions from the Western
provinces, with Alberta paying the highest per capita contribution in the country. In
comparison, central Canada has become reliant on these equalization payments, with
Quebec, the single largest beneficiary both in the calendar year as well as all time,

Why Eddie Van Halen is an Influential Musician Essay
There are certain musicians that come along that shift a culture, attitude, or future
musicians. Another musician that went on influence future generations and
considered one of the greatest guitar players in the world is Eddie Van Halen.
Eddie Van Halen was born in Holland in 1955 and immigrated to Pasadena
California. At the age of seven, Eddie was training as a classical pianist, although
his love for Rock and Roll was developing. He started working a paper route and
used the money to buy a drum set. His brother Alex, also musically inclined, bought a
guitar. After months of practicing, Alex and Eddie switched instruments. Alex would
spend hours on Eddie s drums and loved to play them. Eddie, a little frustrated with
the drums,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A little later, Eddie heard Michael Anthony on the bass and thought that he was
perfect for their band. Still, something was missing; Alex thought they needed a front
man. He suggested that they let David Lee Roth be the front man, mainly to save the
rent money on the PA system. David Lee came on board and thought the brother s
last name sounded cool, and the rock group Van Halenwas born. On one particular
show, Gene Simmons from Kiss caught Van Halen at the local gig. He offered to
help them out. Gene Simmons flew Van Halen to New York to tape a demo and
introduced them to the Kiss production management. They had no interest in Van
Halen citing that there was no commercial value to Van Halen, so the band went
back to their local gigs in California. During a show in Hollywood, Warner Brothers
records representative Ted Templeman saw their act and signed them less than a
week later for a record deal with the Warner brother s label. They headed out on the
road immediately and caught up with Warner Brothers headliners to open their
shows. The other groups were not very pleased with the band, especially when Van
Halen started getting better reviews. Van Halen was then off to England to open for
another band that Eddie idolized, Black Sabbath. Ozzie was so impressed with the
band that he admitted that Van Halen was outplaying Sabbath. At least that is what
Ozzie said according to the Van Halen camp.
Van Halen went on to record 26 albums in their career with

Song Analysis Of Black Roses By John Bowen
In Black Roses , Bowen begins the song with piano chords played hard, but with
gaps in between. This is to grab the listeners attention, but at the same time put the
emphasis on the words she is singing. As she is striking these piano chords, she
sings You can throw your words sharper than a knife/And leave me cold/In another
house on fire. Her voice is soft and somber. Her tone implies that she has been
defeated by forces beyond her control. The instrumentation at this point in the song is
only the pianoand Bowen is forcefully striking the chords. This forcefulness is
indicative of the forces she feels she has been defeated by. What has defeated her is
the relationship with her partner. This relationship has collapsed just as her mother
foretold. Bowen chose not to listen to her mother s sage advice and now must live
with the defeat she feels about the failed relationship with her partner as well as the
damage it has caused between Bowen and her mother. The texture is very thin at this
point, with vocals only being accompanied by the piano chords. This thin texture and
absence of additional musical accompanimentindicates the void she feels as a result
of what has unfolded. The second verse of Black Roses starts with Bowen singingthe
lyrics She told me twice, all her good advice/But I couldn t see/I was clouded by
your lies. The piano remains the only instrumental accompaniment to Bowen s
vocals, but it is now being played much more full and constant. It is

attributed to decreased homogeneity , especially fit one of Durkheim s thesis
where social order breaks down and social norms lose their influence, anomie

movie, Trey has walked on the edge of crime many times, but he always made the

because of his father. Trey s father, is a financial adviser, and a persuasive dispenser

As everyone knows, Chris Harrison ended up sending him home and actually hopes

Byzantine Empire s Influence On Christianity
The main characters of the Byzantine Empire were Diocletian, Constantine, Jerome,
Ambrose, Gregory, Augustine and Justinian. It achieved influence on the whole
world through the Christian faith and collections of laws that are used and believed
in even to this day. Moreover I do not think it impacted the Christian world, it literally
made it. Iconography influenced Christians and later other groups as well, including
secret societies. The major start of the Byzantine Empires influence on solidifying
Christianitybegins with Diocletian. Diocletian divided the Empire into western and
eastern halves and appointed a co emperor to share the burden of administration and
defense. (Fiero, Gloria). Shortly after this Rome s greatness fell... Show more content

Early Christians in the Roman Empire had symbols that other Christians could
identify. This later led to more symbolic than literal at face value meanings. I
would say that Secret Societies that exist today built from traditions of Templars
took much of this Iconography and added their own meanings to them. Masons
built many of the Cathedrals of Europe and Templars joined the Masons once the
Catholic Church denounced them. Sir Francis Bacon learning of America through
tales of Templars is said to have wrote many of the degrees of Freemasonry which
were built upon Christian morality. Furthermore Sir Francis Bacon wrote a book
called the New Atlantis in which America is to be the New Atlantis. This is what
Thomas Jefferson had to say about Sir Francis Bacon. Thomas Jefferson identified
Francis Bacon, John Locke, and Isaac Newton as the three greatest men that have
ever lived, without any exception, in this 1789 letter ordering portraits of them from
the American painter, John Trumbull. (Jefferson, Thomas). So not only did
Christian Iconography give birth to the NSO New Spiritual Order it also fostered
the birth of the NWO. The Hagia Sophia is probably one of the most breathtaking
buildings I have ever seen from its interior. It puts one at awe just from the pictures
and is a testament to how these beliefs influenced architecture. I have said in my
earlier papers that this
Japanese Internment In Roosevelt s Attack On Pearl Harbor
On December 7, 1941 the Japanese had made a secret attack on the American
Naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, that day become extremely historic because
President Theodore Roosevelt signed the Execution Order to force Japanese
Americans to leave their homes around the country. The Government had called
these places relocation centers because they were temporary and only used for a
short period of time, before they would leave to arrive at their permanent location.
Roosevelt didn t want any Japanese Americans stirring up trouble in the U.S.
especially with the recent attack on Pearl Harbor. (THESIS)

How has the U.S. treated Japanese Americans? Why do they think Japan Americans
were interned while most Italian Americans and German Americans were not?
Gerald R. Ford stated in 1988 acknowledged that a grave injustice was done. Also,
he mentioned how the government had promised to repay the Japanese Americans
for the losses they had to suffer and they are still trying to rebuild from this tragedy. I
agree with President Gerald R. Ford, because if the government in the first place
caused them to be distressed and displaced in horrible conditions then they should be
able to come forward and take responsibility for the actions and suffering caused still
today and throughout the nation. I think the Japanese Americans were interned
because everyone thought Japanese citizens or Nisei were the ultimate enemy and
that the Japanese were destroying everything for the other people. The nation wasn t
as threatened or scared about the German Americans and the Italian Americans, as
they were the Japanese because of the recent
Stereotyping And Ethnocentrism
Stereotyping and ethnocentrism shares similar themes, but are separated from an
enormous distinction that which can lead from a tasteless joke to genocide.
Stereotyping is simply an overall widespread generalization. They are formed from
second hand information from close community member that use outdated
information or are not an expert with that particular culture/community. Stereotypes
are usually formed in situations when a person would suffer from information
overload and in some cases, can accurately capture cultures or even celebrated within
them (Neuliep, 2017, 191).
Ethnocentrism takes this idea one step further. It is when one will view a particular
people through their first perspective, without the want to understand the ... Show

They are rarely casted as lead roles and are usually support characters to the lead actor
. Male actors are always portrayed as the nerdy side kick, doctors, or assistants.
Their roles are weak and desexualized, as demonstrated by Wai Choy character in
mean girls. If they are able to get a masculine role, they are either a Kung Fu
warrior or an evil villain that is hell bent on destroying western civilization. Women
actors on the other hand are over sexualized; as they most commonly portrayed as
sex workers. If they are able to steer clear of a role as a prostitute, they play roles of
quiet, submissive, and feeble characters (Levin, 2017). The film Full Metal Jacket
prominently showcases this stereotype as a Vietnamese sex worker says, me love
you long time to a man in the United States military is a famous example of this
exploration (Nittle). This is creating a great impact because our society as a whole
looks at the people within the entertainment industry and the content it produces as
examples of how we want to be. This creates a box for the youth of Asian cultures
whether in the U.S. or elsewhere if that is their only example.
Vietnamese/Asian Culture in the American News Even in 2017, our country is still
plagued with tasteless stereotyping that even makes its way onto our news. An
example of this was by Fox News on the O Reilly Factor hosted by Jesse Watters.
Watters did a street interview segment on the streets of New York
How Does Love Cause Conflict In A Midsummer Night s
Dream
In the play, A Midsummer Night s Dream, William Shakespeare tries to tell the
readers that love can often sway people into performing illogical decisions. First of
all, love can cause conflict amongst people. This is shown when two of the main
characters, Demetrius and Lysander, were fighting with each other for Hermias love.
Demetrius scorns: Relent, sweet Hermia and Lysander, yield. Thy crazed title to my
certain right. (1.1.91 92). The conflict between the two men created tension amongst
themselves, Hermia, Helena, and the Noblemen of Athens. Moreover, love is also
shown to cause betrayal amongst friends. In the first act of the play, Demetrius was
in love with Hermia; and Helena, her best friend, was willing to betray her just for his

Furthermore, affection amongst people can require some sacrifices to be made.
Since the Duke of Athens (Theseus) strictly forbade Lysander and Helena to be
wed, they had to find another way to do so. Lysander whispers: {To Helena} If
thou lovest me then, steal forth thy father s house tomorrow night. And in the
wood, a league without the town...There I will stay for thee. (1.1.163 168). Instead
of talking to the Duke about their situation, they decided that leaving Athens and
their things behind for the cause of love would be a better plan. Likewise, anger
between people has also been proven to be caused by love. When the magical fairy
Puck applied the love potion on Demetrius and Lysander, they both ended up falling
in love with Helena, which threw Hermia into a rage. Hermia yells: You thief of
love! What, have you come by night and stolen my love s heart from him? (3.2.290
291). Hermia had thought that Helena had stolen Lysander s affection from her,
enraging her and thus creating an even larger conflict (for the lovers) in the process
than if they had settled things in a civilized
Mange Research Paper
This paper will discuss mange. Included will be the two different types of mange,
the side effects of mange, and the treatment options associated with mange. Mange
can affect many species of animals, but it is considered common in dogs. Mange is
an inflammation of the skin which is caused by mites that live on or in the skin
(Colville, Bassert, 2016). They cause irritation, itchiness and hair loss. When the
animal scratches themselves it can cause deep wounds which can lead to infection
or the skin may thicken and become flaky (Colville, Bassert, 2016). There are two
types of mites; demodex and sarcoptes. To determine which type of mite the animal
has, there needs to be a sample taken from a skin scraping and looked at under a
microscope (Colville, Bassert, 2016). Demodex mites live in the hair follicles and
sebaceous glands. They appear long and thin with stubby legs (Colville, Bassert,
2016). It is passed from the mother to her puppies and is considered a common mite
on the skin normally causing minimal problems (Grognet, 2009). In some cases dogs
with a low immune systemdo experience problems with the demodex mite. There
are two types of demodectic mange; localized and generalized (Grognet, 2009).
Localized demodectic mange can normally go without treatment and will eventually
resolve itself. The generalized form is more severe and is difficult to treat (Grognet,
2009). There are two commonly used insecticides that can be used for treatment.
There is a weekly Mitaban dip and a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

types of mange. Further research is needed.

Environmental Impacts Of Potato
The Impact of the Potato
The Potato crop is one of the world s most important food crops. It has played an
important historic role throughout Europe and continues to be relied upon by the
masses today. Potatoes are naturally nutritious and reliable as a crop. However, as
with the cultivation of all crops, there are some negative environmental impacts. The
potato can endure many environments and can be sustainably grown around the
globe. This crop continues to have a vast impact on society.
Production of the potato crop is certainly beneficial to society. The potato is an
extremely important food crop worldwide. This crop can be used support local
populations. Potatoes are quite nutritious naturally; however, they are not always
used to make healthy products. Unhealthy products, such as potato chips and French
fries, do not demonstrate their great nutritional potential. There are many health
benefits associated with potatoes, some of which include being a great source of
vitamin B and C and Potassium, Magnesium, and fiber. Due to the high level of
potassium, potato consumption is associated with lowering blood pressure (Sass
2017). In addition to these health benefits, potatoes contain many antioxidants. The
nutritional value of the potato is just one of the many reasons the crop has been so
heavily relied upon over hundreds of years.
Potato crops have a long and important history. They were first domesticated about 10
000 years ago in Southern Peru. The crop eventually
United States Of The Gulf Cooperation Council ( Gcc )
Qatar and other states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) repeatedly face
international critique regarding their treatment of migrant workers in construction
and household services. Non governmental organizations (NGOs) and international
organizations (IOs) are reporting abusive and unsafe working and living conditions
while simultaneously trying to influence and mediate between Gulf Council
Cooperation (GCC) governments, migrant workers, and civil society. GCC
governments are attempting to implement labor policies to promote the hiring of
local workers; this would reduce the supply of foreign labor, and possibly ensure
adequate treatment of local workers.
This reformation is dependent on the role of international government and non
governmental agencies, and the possibility for these agencies to change local
policies. This is taken in the context of growing global and local awareness about
migrant workers and fundamental human rights abuses, including the human
trafficking and forced labor currently occurring within Qatar s migrant worker
population.
International migration today is closely associated with state sovereignty. States
would engage in international cooperation through a wide range of transnational
issues, but when it comes to immigrants and refugees, nation states claim that the
sovereign right to control one s own boarders to be the primary responsibility
(Sasson 1996). Even if cooperation were recognized as useful or necessary, in
properly managing
The Boeing 7e7
Objectives
The objectives of The Boeing 7E7 case study is to seek the answer for the project
question.
Why is Boeing contemplating the launch of the 7E7 project? Is this the good time
to do so? How would we know if the 7E7 project will create value? How to estimate
the WACC?
Is there anything else the board of directors should consider in assessing the
financial appeal of this project? Why might the board vote yes on the 7E7, when the
cost of capital estimate is greater than the IRR? Why might the board vote no if the
cost of capital is less than the IRR?
What should the board do?
Introduction
Ultimately Boeing needs to determine if the project will be profitable and if it will
have positive cash flows in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Airbus, the market leader, produced planes to serve the short, medium and extended
range routes. Analysts believe that Airbus seemed to be more bullish on the future of
the large aircraft market leaving Boeing an opportunity to gain back market share in
the mid size market, assuming that Airbus did not pursue the mid range segment
with a competing product. Boeing had a drop in commercial airplanes delivered
from 527 in 2001 to 381 in 2002 and needed this project to keep them in the hunt with
Airbus.
The board will also have to consider the decades it may take to recoup the costs of
starting this project. Development costs in the airline industry are substantial
leading to many years of negative cash flows. The introduction of a new plane is a
make or break activity for the producers and requires huge financing capabilities.
The development costs and per copy costs were difficult to predict, and Boeing also
faced engineering uncertainty with the project. The success of the project depends
heavily on Boeing s ability to keep the production costs low and actually deliver a
more efficient aircraft than the competition.
Yes this is the good time for Boeing to launch their new aircraft. At this time, the price
of raw materials are very cheap caused by unexpected disasters. Although there s no
demand at this moment, but they can still continue making the aircraft. The further
information will describe how Boeing can continue

Automobile Insurance Required By Law Insurance is an arrangement by which a company or government agency provides a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return for payment of a premium. Dante s Inferno And Beowulf Analysis Importance of Name and Remember in Dante s Inferno and Beowulf One of the important themes that stands out in Dante s epic poem, Inferno , is a theme of legacy via endurance of one s name. In other words, the human need to have one s name and story shared with others in an effort to gain some sense of immortality. Even from the depths of hell the characters in the Inferno express a wish to have their stories told. The Inferno tells of Dante s adventure through the depths of Hell with the spirit of the great Roman poet Virgil as his guide. In this epic adventure, Dante treks the Nine Circles of Hell and in each circle he encounters prominent figures in both his personal life and in history. The poem as a whole is a commentary on sins and transgressions, but the significance of these transgressions are amplified with the attachment of names we the readers recognize from history and literature. Among them are figures one would expect to be Hell for their famous transgressions such as Judas Iscariot, Attila the Hun and Brutus but also more surprisingly Ulysses, the hero from Homer s Iliad and Odyssey, who is in the Eighth Circle of Hell for the crime of spiritual theft and Pope Celestine V, whom Dante condemns for abdicating the papacy and thus allowed Pope Boniface VIII to become the new pope. This was a transgression worthy of hell in Dante s eyes because historically Pope Boniface VIII was something of a rival to Dante, who had been an advocate for the separation of

  • 12. The Charge Of The Light Brigade Analysis Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote the The Charge of the Light Brigade on December 2nd, 1854, and it was then published on December 9th. This poem was written following the disastrous Battle of Balaklava, between the British Light Brigade forces and the Russian forces (Connors 3). Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote this poem to commemorate the lives lost, and it seems to be littered with Biblical allusions. Specifically, this poem has striking diction similarity to Psalm 23 from the King James Version of the Bible. This discovery spurs the question of whether AlfredLord Tennyson was directly influenced by the Psalm, and if so, in what way? The Charge of the Light Brigade was written when Lord Tennyson learned of the carnage at the decisive and devastating Battle of Balaklava for the British. The battle was initiated when the overall commander of British forces, Lord Raglan, ordered the Light Brigade to follow but not to attack the Russian enemy. Being that Houston is a city with many businesses, one can conclude that the political subculture in the city is individualistic. For instance, when Annise Parker, who is openly gay in the conservative state of Texas, was running for mayor of Houston, she spoke about her experience with the city s finances and how that experience will allow her to help the city in the financial crisis it was going through (). Annise Parker won the election regardless of her sexuality. The assumption that one can make is that the fact that Annise Parker has good financial experience, motivated business owners, and entrepreneurs to vote for her on behalf of their own self interest, which is to have a successful business. ... • 21. For instance, Emperor Nero is reported to have engaged in a marriage ceremony with one of his male slaves. Emperor Elagabalus married a Carian slave named Hierocles. It should be noted, however, that conubium existed only between a civis Romanus and a civis Romana (that is, between a male Roman citizen and a female Roman citizen), so that a so called marriage between two Roman males (or with a slave) would have no legal standing in Roman law (apart, presumably, from the arbitrary will of the emperor in the two aforementioned cases). Furthermore, matrimonium is an institution involving a mother, mater. The idea implicit in the word is that a man takes a woman in marriage, in matrimonium ducere, so that he may have children by her. Still, the lack of legal validity notwithstanding, there is a consensus among modern historians that same sex relationships existed in ancient Rome, but the exact frequency and nature of same sex unions during that period is obscure. In 342 AD Christian emperors Constantius II and Constans issued a law in the Theodosian Code (C. Th. 9.7.3) prohibiting same sex marriage in Rome and ordering execution for those so married. The first documented same sex marriage was between the two men Pedro DГaz and MuГ±o Vandilaz, in the Galician municipality of Rairiz de Veiga in Spain, on April 16, 1061. They were

At first, Marie and Pierre Curie believed that perhaps the atom was covered with cosmic rays. Marie tested numerous elements to find if other ones than Uranium would make the air conduct electricity better. Pierre was so interested in Marie s work, that he joined forces with her. Her research had revealed that two uranium ores, pitchblende and chalcolite were much more radioactive that pure uranium. Marie concluded that the highly radioactive nature of these ores may possibly be due to undiscovered elements. In July of 1898, Marie and Pierre Cure discovered Polonium. They named the element after Marie s birth country, Poland. Chemically, this new element was very similar to bismuth, but it contained radioactivity, so it must be new. In December of 1898, the Curie s discovered yet another element. They named this one radium, from the Latin word for ray. The two new elements had completely different chemical properties, but they both had very strong radioactivity. It was not easy for Marie and Pierre to convince the science community of their new findings. Marie succeeded in separating the radium from the barium, but it wasn t easy. She had to treat very large amounts of pitchblende, but she had plenty of pitchblende to use. (The Curie s

Julian does take into account that he is educated and presumes himself to be opposite of his mother, but he finds that it is not true, and he remains a racist. Instead of confronting this as a problem, he seeks to belittle his mother. When the Negro women enters the bus, he wishes she would sit beside his mother in order to disturb her. He could think of no better arrangement . Yet to his annoyance, she squeezes herself into the seat next to him . His lack of insight regarding their relationship is revealed when he fantasizes himself presenting his mother with a black acquaitance: either a business associate, a lover or even the doctor he could hire to heal her. When he asks the man with the paper for a light (he has nothing to smoke), embarrassing himself solely to perplex her. He remains a racist not because it was instilled in him by his mother, but because he continues to exploit the black culture for the sole purpose of changing his mother. • 31. Summary OfAll Summer In A Day By Ray Bradbury In the story, All Summer in a Day, Ray Bradbury draws us in, as readers, with a story that takes place on the planet Venus. The environment of Venus is as described in this quote, It had been raining for seven years; thousands upon thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with rain, with the gush and gush of water...fall of showers and the concussion of storms so heavy they were tidal waves come over the islands... (Bradbury, 1954) With an environment like this, what type of people would those on Venus be if they had never felt, saw, or experienced the sun before? The only one that has experienced and remembers the sun is a young girl, Margot. Margot lived on Earth until she was four years old, unlike the others who have been living underground in Venus for their entire lives. Because of this, Margot is constantly facing problems regarding her classmates jealousy of her past opportunities. Without the sun, she has become, as Bradbury writes, ...a very frail girl who looked as if she had been lost in the rain for years and the rain had washed out the blue from her eyes and the red from her mouth and the yellow from her hair. She was an old photograph dusted from an album, whitened away, and if she spoke at all her voice would be a ghost. (1954, Bradbury) In this short story by Bradbury, the theme is that jealousy and ignorance can blind us from seeing things how they really are. This is shown time after time when Margot is harassed, depressed, and isolated because of her classmates jealousy. To begin, a way that Bradbury shows us that jealousy and ignorance can shield a person from the truth is through the main character, Margot, who is constantly being harassed by her classmates. The only reason Margot s classmates harass her is because she remembers the sun. This makes her different from all the others, who have lived here on Venus since birth. In this way, they are uneducated or ignorant because they have never experienced the sun. Because she is different, the classmates take every chance they have to harass her in any way they can. Right before the sun came out, one of the rare events that Margot was greatly looking forward to, the classmates ...surged about her, caught her

This is to grab the listeners attention, but at the same time put the emphasis on the words she is singing. As she is striking these piano chords, she sings You can throw your words sharper than a knife/And leave me cold/In another house on fire. Her voice is soft and somber. Her tone implies that she has been defeated by forces beyond her control. The instrumentation at this point in the song is only the pianoand Bowen is forcefully striking the chords. This forcefulness is indicative of the forces she feels she has been defeated by. What has defeated her is the relationship with her partner. This relationship has collapsed just as her mother foretold. Bowen chose not to listen to her mother s sage advice and now must live with the defeat she feels about the failed relationship with her partner as well as the damage it has caused between Bowen and her mother. He felt like the way that Johnson was acting was keeping everyone else from having their own chance to find love. Harrison spoke out and said, He had really been verbally abusive to some of the staff, to some of our crew, other people, and I started having a conversation with him. Again, it was a chance for him to be contrite and a chance to come to terms with the fact that he had been out of hand, and his behavior was inappropriate. When Chad and Chris Harrison were talking, things ended up going downhill. Chris Harrison said that Chad was really rude to him, and he just made the decision right then it was time to send him home. Things got pretty bad, and Harrison said that before it was all over with he was even called a few names. This didn t keep them from inviting Johnson to the finale of The Bachelorette last night and even letting him tease that he wanted the job as The
  • 42. Byzantine Empire s Influence On Christianity The main characters of the Byzantine Empire were Diocletian, Constantine, Jerome, Ambrose, Gregory, Augustine and Justinian. It achieved influence on the whole world through the Christian faith and collections of laws that are used and believed in even to this day. Moreover I do not think it impacted the Christian world, it literally made it. Iconography influenced Christians and later other groups as well, including secret societies. The major start of the Byzantine Empires influence on solidifying Christianitybegins with Diocletian. Diocletian divided the Empire into western and eastern halves and appointed a co emperor to share the burden of administration and defense. (Fiero, Gloria). Shortly after this Rome s greatness fell... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Early Christians in the Roman Empire had symbols that other Christians could identify. This later led to more symbolic than literal at face value meanings. I would say that Secret Societies that exist today built from traditions of Templars took much of this Iconography and added their own meanings to them. Masons built many of the Cathedrals of Europe and Templars joined the Masons once the Catholic Church denounced them. Sir Francis Bacon learning of America through tales of Templars is said to have wrote many of the degrees of Freemasonry which were built upon Christian morality. Furthermore Sir Francis Bacon wrote a book called the New Atlantis in which America is to be the New Atlantis. This is what Thomas Jefferson had to say about Sir Francis Bacon. Thomas Jefferson identified Francis Bacon, John Locke, and Isaac Newton as the three greatest men that have ever lived, without any exception, in this 1789 letter ordering portraits of them from the American painter, John Trumbull. (Jefferson, Thomas). So not only did Christian Iconography give birth to the NSO New Spiritual Order it also fostered the birth of the NWO. The Hagia Sophia is probably one of the most breathtaking buildings I have ever seen from its interior. It puts one at awe just from the pictures and is a testament to how these beliefs influenced architecture. I have said in my earlier papers that this

Japanese Internment In Roosevelt s Attack On Pearl Harbor On December 7, 1941 the Japanese had made a secret attack on the American Naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, that day become extremely historic because President Theodore Roosevelt signed the Execution Order to force Japanese Americans to leave their homes around the country. The Government had called these places relocation centers because they were temporary and only used for a short period of time, before they would leave to arrive at their permanent location. Roosevelt didn t want any Japanese Americans stirring up trouble in the U.S. especially with the recent attack on Pearl Harbor. How has the U.S. treated Japanese Americans? Why do they think Japan Americans were interned while most Italian Americans and German Americans were not? Gerald R. Ford stated in 1988 acknowledged that a grave injustice was done. Also, he mentioned how the government had promised to repay the Japanese Americans for the losses they had to suffer and they are still trying to rebuild from this tragedy. I agree with President Gerald R. Ford, because if the government in the first place caused them to be distressed and displaced in horrible conditions then they should be able to come forward and take responsibility for the actions and suffering caused still today and throughout the nation. I think the Japanese Americans were interned because everyone thought Japanese citizens or Nisei were the ultimate enemy and that the Japanese were destroying everything for the other people. The nation wasn t as threatened or scared about the German Americans and the Italian Americans, as they were the Japanese because of the recent

Stereotyping is simply an overall widespread generalization. They are formed from second hand information from close community member that use outdated information or are not an expert with that particular culture/community. Stereotypes are usually formed in situations when a person would suffer from information overload and in some cases, can accurately capture cultures or even celebrated within them (Neuliep, 2017, 191). Ethnocentrism takes this idea one step further. It is when one will view a particular people through their first perspective, without the want to understand the ... Male actors are always portrayed as the nerdy side kick, doctors, or assistants. Their roles are weak and desexualized, as demonstrated by Wai Choy character in mean girls. If they are able to get a masculine role, they are either a Kung Fu warrior or an evil villain that is hell bent on destroying western civilization. Women actors on the other hand are over sexualized; as they most commonly portrayed as sex workers. If they are able to steer clear of a role as a prostitute, they play roles of quiet, submissive, and feeble characters (Levin, 2017). The film Full Metal Jacket prominently showcases this stereotype as a Vietnamese sex worker says, me love you long time to a man in the United States military is a famous example of this exploration (Nittle). This is creating a great impact because our society as a whole looks at the people within the entertainment industry and the content it produces as examples of how we want to be. This creates a box for the youth of Asian cultures whether in the U.S. or elsewhere if that is their only example. Vietnamese/Asian Culture in the American News Even in 2017, our country is still plagued with tasteless stereotyping that even makes its way onto our news. An example of this was by Fox News on the O Reilly Factor hosted by Jesse Watters. Watters did a street interview segment on the streets of New York
  • 45. How Does Love Cause Conflict In A Midsummer Night s Dream In the play, A Midsummer Night s Dream, William Shakespeare tries to tell the readers that love can often sway people into performing illogical decisions. First of all, love can cause conflict amongst people. This is shown when two of the main characters, Demetrius and Lysander, were fighting with each other for Hermias love. Demetrius scorns: Relent, sweet Hermia and Lysander, yield. Thy crazed title to my certain right. (1.1.91 92). The conflict between the two men created tension amongst themselves, Hermia, Helena, and the Noblemen of Athens. Moreover, love is also shown to cause betrayal amongst friends. In the first act of the play, Demetrius was in love with Hermia; and Helena, her best friend, was willing to betray her just for his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Furthermore, affection amongst people can require some sacrifices to be made. Since the Duke of Athens (Theseus) strictly forbade Lysander and Helena to be wed, they had to find another way to do so. Lysander whispers: {To Helena} If thou lovest me then, steal forth thy father s house tomorrow night. And in the wood, a league without the town...There I will stay for thee. (1.1.163 168). Instead of talking to the Duke about their situation, they decided that leaving Athens and their things behind for the cause of love would be a better plan. Likewise, anger between people has also been proven to be caused by love. When the magical fairy Puck applied the love potion on Demetrius and Lysander, they both ended up falling in love with Helena, which threw Hermia into a rage. Hermia yells: You thief of love! What, have you come by night and stolen my love s heart from him? (3.2.290 291). Hermia had thought that Helena had stolen Lysander s affection from her, enraging her and thus creating an even larger conflict (for the lovers) in the process than if they had settled things in a civilized
  • 46. Mange Research Paper This paper will discuss mange. Included will be the two different types of mange, the side effects of mange, and the treatment options associated with mange. Mange can affect many species of animals, but it is considered common in dogs. Mange is an inflammation of the skin which is caused by mites that live on or in the skin (Colville, Bassert, 2016). They cause irritation, itchiness and hair loss. When the animal scratches themselves it can cause deep wounds which can lead to infection or the skin may thicken and become flaky (Colville, Bassert, 2016). There are two types of mites; demodex and sarcoptes. To determine which type of mite the animal has, there needs to be a sample taken from a skin scraping and looked at under a microscope (Colville, Bassert, 2016). Demodex mites live in the hair follicles and sebaceous glands. They appear long and thin with stubby legs (Colville, Bassert, 2016). It is passed from the mother to her puppies and is considered a common mite on the skin normally causing minimal problems (Grognet, 2009). In some cases dogs with a low immune systemdo experience problems with the demodex mite. There are two types of demodectic mange; localized and generalized (Grognet, 2009). Localized demodectic mange can normally go without treatment and will eventually resolve itself. The generalized form is more severe and is difficult to treat (Grognet, 2009). There are two commonly used insecticides that can be used for treatment. There is a weekly Mitaban dip and a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 47. Environmental Impacts Of Potato The Impact of the Potato The Potato crop is one of the world s most important food crops. It has played an important historic role throughout Europe and continues to be relied upon by the masses today. Potatoes are naturally nutritious and reliable as a crop. However, as with the cultivation of all crops, there are some negative environmental impacts. The potato can endure many environments and can be sustainably grown around the globe. This crop continues to have a vast impact on society. Production of the potato crop is certainly beneficial to society. The potato is an extremely important food crop worldwide. This crop can be used support local populations. Potatoes are quite nutritious naturally; however, they are not always used to make healthy products. Unhealthy products, such as potato chips and French fries, do not demonstrate their great nutritional potential. There are many health benefits associated with potatoes, some of which include being a great source of vitamin B and C and Potassium, Magnesium, and fiber. Due to the high level of potassium, potato consumption is associated with lowering blood pressure (Sass 2017). In addition to these health benefits, potatoes contain many antioxidants. The nutritional value of the potato is just one of the many reasons the crop has been so heavily relied upon over hundreds of years. Potato crops have a long and important history. They were first domesticated about 10 000 years ago in Southern Peru. The crop eventually
  • 48. United States Of The Gulf Cooperation Council ( Gcc ) Qatar and other states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) repeatedly face international critique regarding their treatment of migrant workers in construction and household services. Non governmental organizations (NGOs) and international organizations (IOs) are reporting abusive and unsafe working and living conditions while simultaneously trying to influence and mediate between Gulf Council Cooperation (GCC) governments, migrant workers, and civil society. GCC governments are attempting to implement labor policies to promote the hiring of local workers; this would reduce the supply of foreign labor, and possibly ensure adequate treatment of local workers. This reformation is dependent on the role of international government and non governmental agencies, and the possibility for these agencies to change local policies. This is taken in the context of growing global and local awareness about migrant workers and fundamental human rights abuses, including the human trafficking and forced labor currently occurring within Qatar s migrant worker population. International migration today is closely associated with state sovereignty. States would engage in international cooperation through a wide range of transnational issues, but when it comes to immigrants and refugees, nation states claim that the sovereign right to control one s own boarders to be the primary responsibility (Sasson 1996). Even if cooperation were recognized as useful or necessary, in properly managing

Is this the good time to do so? How would we know if the 7E7 project will create value? How to estimate the WACC? Is there anything else the board of directors should consider in assessing the financial appeal of this project? Why might the board vote yes on the 7E7, when the cost of capital estimate is greater than the IRR? Why might the board vote no if the cost of capital is less than the IRR? What should the board do? Introduction Ultimately Boeing needs to determine if the project will be profitable and if it will have positive cash flows in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Airbus, the market leader, produced planes to serve the short, medium and extended range routes. Analysts believe that Airbus seemed to be more bullish on the future of the large aircraft market leaving Boeing an opportunity to gain back market share in the mid size market, assuming that Airbus did not pursue the mid range segment with a competing product. Boeing had a drop in commercial airplanes delivered from 527 in 2001 to 381 in 2002 and needed this project to keep them in the hunt with Airbus. The board will also have to consider the decades it may take to recoup the costs of starting this project. Development costs in the airline industry are substantial leading to many years of negative cash flows. The introduction of a new plane is a make or break activity for the producers and requires huge financing capabilities. The development costs and per copy costs were difficult to predict, and Boeing also faced engineering uncertainty with the project. The success of the project depends heavily on Boeing s ability to keep the production costs low and actually deliver a more efficient aircraft than the competition. Yes this is the good time for Boeing to launch their new aircraft. At this time, the price of raw materials are very cheap caused by unexpected disasters. Although there s no demand at this moment, but they can still continue making the aircraft. The further information will describe how Boeing can continue
