Essay On Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness
Writing an essay on the topic "Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness" can be both challenging and
rewarding. While the phrase itself is straightforward, delving into the nuances and implications
requires a thoughtful exploration of various aspects. The difficulty arises from the need to strike
a balance between personal perspectives, cultural influences, and the broader societal context.
To begin with, one must navigate through the historical and cultural dimensions of cleanliness,
understanding how different societies have interpreted and valued cleanliness over time. This
necessitates extensive research to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the topic. Moreover,
the essay should address the diverse cultural, religious, and philosophical perspectives on
cleanliness, offering a nuanced view that goes beyond a superficial understanding.
The complexity of the subject is heightened by the evolving nature of cleanliness standards and
practices. What might be considered clean in one culture may differ significantly from another.
It is essential to explore these variations, acknowledging the subjectivity inherent in defining
cleanliness and its relation to godliness.
Additionally, crafting an essay on this topic requires a careful consideration of the socio-
economic factors that influence access to cleanliness. Disparities in resources and education can
impact an individual's ability to maintain a clean environment. Addressing these inequalities adds
another layer of depth to the essay, requiring a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and
potential solutions.
Furthermore, the essay should explore the psychological and spiritual dimensions of cleanliness.
How does the concept of cleanliness impact mental well-being and spiritual practices? This
aspect demands a thoughtful examination of the psychological effects of a clean environment
and its potential influence on one's connection with spirituality.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on "Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness," one must navigate
through historical, cultural, socio-economic, and psychological dimensions. The task involves a
careful balance of research, analysis, and empathy to create a comprehensive and insightful
exploration of the topic.

European Starling or Sturnus Vulgaris Essay
The Common Starling, otherwise known as Sturnus Vulgaris or European Starling, is
a medium sized songbird that is a member of the Sturnidae bird family. These birds
are known to mimic sounds from other species and can even mimic human speech
when held in captivity. They are very stout in their build and have short tails. They
change color depending on the season, such as purple green feathers in the summer
and brown feathers with white spots in the winter. Common Starlings originated in
Europe, specifically Norway, Russia, and Siberia. During the winter, they migrated to
northern Africa and India. From there, Starlings have been introduced to several
places such as Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, South Africa, and North America.
They... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When a flock of them land in an agricultural area, they do a considerable amount of
damage to crops such as Cherries, Olives, Grapes, etc. They also damage wheat
fields by digging up grain and eating the seeds. Starlings can transmit diseases to
livestock and humans such as transmissible gastroenteritis virus, salmonella, and
blastomycosis. Histoplasmosis, a fungal respiratory disease, is another health
concern. It s occurs during large winter roosts with these birds. The mass accrue of
droppings enrich the soil where the fungus grows. When disturbed, the spores from
the fungus can become airborne. If inhaled, Histoplasmosis can be contracted. Most
cases are mild, but on occasion it can cause blindness and even death.
Starlings are extremely aggressive and will compete with other species of birds as
well as their own. They attack other birds and their nests, sometimes even taking over
their nest as their own. Eggs in those nests are usually destroyed by the Starling.
Because of the Starlings aggressive ways, there has been a decrease of native birds.
Although Starlings cause numerous problems, they have also been shown to benefit
the environment. Starlings will eat just about anything from seeds to small insects
and other invertebrates. This greatly helps control the pest problems in agricultural
areas.
Numerous control methods have been advised to stop the expansion of Starlings.

Renaissance And The Harlem Renaissance
Since time immemorial, art has been an integral tool in influencing a society, pushing
forth ideas, expressing the general atmosphere amongst the party s involved and
fighting vices in the society. Art is fundamental in the transformation of any society
through its ability to influence opinions and values. Through sound, vision any other
form that art may take, communications is enhanced. Visual art, Music and poetry
have always been the most used.
Some of the most redefining and revolutionary moments in the history of man
socially, have been catalyzed by use of art. Throughout the age s music, imagery and
poetry have been a fundamental tool in reaching out to the masses to condemn vices,
motivate people and bring awareness. One cannot underestimate the impact that art
has in influencing and communicating an idea to the people. Art is an integral
ingredient in the cohesion and integration of any society. Through poetry, the poet is
able to put across a message that resonates in the minds of the reader in an artistic
manner that ultimately triggers a response. Art is therefore a force to reckon with in
the transformation of a society or a regime.
One of the many revolutionary eras in history was the Harlem renaissance. This was a
sudden cultural revolution that was realized in the 1920s and it became popularly
known as the Harlem Renaissance or The New Negro movement . This is a particular
era that the African Americanpeople draw pride in. the era saw a cultural, social,
music and art explosion of epic proportions This was aimed at shifting the
stereotypical view of black people as uneducated, intellectually deprived farmers to
one of a complex, organized and intellectually equal to the whites. The Harlem
renaissance took place in 1920s thru 1930s. This era saw a phenomenon rise in
famous black writers and marked the onset of blues, musical theatre, blues, dance and
poetry. The new art caught on an appealed to the whites as well. Harlem became a
cultural and literature center. The African Americans artists and writers were gaining
recognition from the white. [2]
The Harlem renaissance sought to make the African American gain mainstream
acceptance through celebration of culture and expression. The

John Donne s Poetry Of Poetry Essay
When John Donne s collection of poetry, Songs and Sonnets, was published in 1633
it was established as a piece of literature that would transcend the ages, containing wit,
experimentation and creativity. However, once the years furthered into the late
nineteenth century and the audience of Donne s work grew outside of the usual
collective of male readers, a new perspective took shape. These ideas did not dismiss
the change Donne s work brought to his genre but rather questioned the attitude
towards his genders counterpart within the poetry. A feministic approach emerged
with the acknowledgement that Donne s views revealed sexist when analyzed. Such
concepts are discussed within George Parfitt s John Donneas the novel considers
Donne s opinions along with it s relation to his history. This wave of feministic
criticism is exhibited when Parfitt examines the belief that John s work narrows
women into a set group and observes that as a category women are objects of
Donne s wit and of interest only in that respect. (32). During the poet s life he
became a part of the courts where Donne preached during his time as a priest in 1615
until his death. This setting allowed for little connection with women outside his wife
and other lower class women as it was an all male institution, thus his understanding
of the femalemind exterior from these instances did not hold validity. Parfitt
comments that the excluded sex [was] both idealised and denigrated, (30) in said
environments.

New Zealand s Involvement At The Battle Of Monte Cassino
FQ1 What was New Zealand s involvement in the Battle of Monte Cassino?
During the battle of Cassino, the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Forces became
actively involved when they were brought in to take over for the troops who had been
stationed there since the 15th January, 1944. About 104,000 men and women served
within the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Forces. The 2NZEF (2nd New Zealand
Expeditionary Forces) along with other allies (american 5th army, indian 4th division,
british 8th army etc.) who were stationed in cassino at different times were given the
objective of crushing the gustav line, a defense line that ran through the mountainous
regions of Abruzzi and Campania, south west of Rome.
The 28th MДЃori Battalion landed in italy in october 1943 facing an extreme change
of landscape and weather. Prior to being called to arms in Italy, from late 1941 to
early 1943 the MДЃori Battalion confronted Erwin Rommel s Afrika Korps and
Italian forces in the vast North African desert a harsh environment of extreme
temperatures, ferocious sandstorms and swarming flies. The condition in Africa was
quite different from Monte Cassino with the men needing to fight in extremely
uncomfortable conditions. Cold nights and searing daytime temperatures made life
uncomfortable for soldiers in forward positions, shade was hard to find and
makeshift shelters did little to block the sun. Sandstorms were a regular hazard, and
dust stirred up by vehicles and shellfire covered everything.
Reagan Administration s Foreign Policy in Latin America...
Reagan Administration s Foreign Policy in Latin America
Throughout the Cold War the United States considered the installation in Latin
America of radical regimes socialist, Marxist Leninist, or leftist in any way to be
utterly intolerable. Any such development would represent an advance for the
communist cause and a vital loss for the West. Acceptance of this outcome could
weaken the credibility of the United States as the leader of the west and as a rival
for the USSR. In the eyes of Cold Warriors, the consolidation of any left wing regime
in the Western Hemisphere would have dire and perilous implications for U.S.
national security and for the global distribution of power. It was therefore crucial to
resist this possibility by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The next day Reagan signed an executive order approving the invasion. A
combined force of 1,900 US Marines and army airborne troops launched an assault
on Grenada. All significant military objectives were achieved in roughly 36 hours.
Reagan justified the operation as an effort to protect US citizens whose safety was
threatened because a gang of leftist thugs (Lake 182) had seized power to forestall
further chaos, and assist in restoration of democracy.
In El Salvador, a mountainous coffee growing country of 5 million citizens was
ruled by an unholy alliance of large scale landowners and military officers.
Acceleration of agriculture exports during the 1960 s led to an increased
concentration of rural holdings by large scale landowners and in turn increased the
percentage of peasants who had no land at all. A reformist challenge to the status
quo came through the Christian Democratic Party, under the leadership of JosГ©
Duarte. As mayor of San Salvador, Duarte built strong connections with
intellectuals, professionals, and other middle class groups that if the military hadn t
interfered and imposed dictatorial rule he would have surely won the election for
presidency in 1972. Fake elections in 1977 led to the installation of General Carlos
Humberto Romero as president, who imposed a law to defend and guarantee public
order. Duarte himself was imprisoned, tortured, and exiled but never fled to the hills.

Here s Where the Story Ends Fables and myths constitute the foundation of nearly
every culture, and are passed down through generations, never losing their meaning
and allure. Many factors make a story special, including its plot, essence, and
characters, but only the storyteller holds within themselves the potential to deliver a
narration that will inspire their audience and leave a lasting mark. In a quaint
example of metafiction, many novels have been published with a central theme of
storytelling. Two such examples following this concept is The Canterbury Tales,
written by Geoffrey Chaucer in 1478, and Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley
1818. Three characters in The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Have I not suffered enough, that you seek to increase my misery... Everywhere I
see bliss, from which I alone am irrevocably excluded (Shelley 68 69). The Wife of
Bath and The Monster quickly intrigue their respective audiences by flooding them
with emotion. The Wife of Bath shares her negative views on marriage, while The
Monster prepares to tell his heartbreaking story. By expressing their emotions, both
narrators are able to share their beliefs and views, impacting their listeners. This is
just one power of storytelling, where an outpour of emotions can be so powerful
moving, having a profound effect on the audience. In addition, by articulating their
emotions, the storytellers give the crowd an opportunity to enter their own minds,
further allowing the audience to experience the story from the eyes of the narrator.
Another critical facet in storytelling lies in parables, which carry moral lessons. In
his fable, the Pardoner imparts a crucial message of the destructiveness of greed. In
his prologue, the Pardoner makes his explanation very clear: But let me briefly
make my purpose plain / I preach for nothing but for the greed of gain / And use the
same old text, as bold as brass / Radix malorum est cupiditas (Chaucer 243).
Providing another meaningful anecdote is The Monster, who explains how love is a
powerful emotion that can get one through loneliness and isolation. The Monster
makes clear his message of requiring a companion: If I cannot inspire

1.Discuss the terms non invasive and minimally invasive in relation to medical
techniques.
Non invasive medical techniques can be defined as surgical procedures that do not
require the penetration or damage of the skin tissue. Examples of non invasive
medical techniques are imaging techniques such as x rays and ultrasound.
Minimally invasive medical techniques can be defined as surgical procedures that
require the smallest incision into the skin. Examples of minimally invasive medical
techniques include keyhole surgery and laser eye surgery.
2.Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of non invasive and minimally invasive
medical techniques.
Non invasive medical techniques have proven to be advantageous. Imaging
techniques are advantageous because they are useful in diagnosing and conditions
and diseases in the body, even before symptoms have appeared. For example, x rays
can detect broken bones, kidney stones and tooth decay. Thermography can detect
breast cancer 8 years before symptoms have started appearing. Non invasive medical
techniques also take considerable less time to perform on patients than invasive
medical techniques. Shorter time in hospital means reduced health care costs which
are another advantage of non invasive medical techniques.
On the other hand, non invasive medical techniques have a few disadvantages. Non
invasive medical techniques involve imaging techniques which often requires the
patient being exposed

Speech About Chef
A chef is a highly trained and skilled professional cook who is proficient in all
aspects of food preparation of a particular cuisine. The word chef is derived (from
shortened) from the term chef de cuisine (French pronunciation: [КѓЙ›f.dЙ™
.kЙҐi.zin]), the director or head of a kitchen. Chefs can receive both formal training
from an institution, as well as through apprenticeship with an experienced chef.
There are different terms that use the word chef in their titles, and deal with
specific areas of food preparation, such as the Sous chef, who acts as the second in
command in a kitchen, or the Chef de partie, who handles A of the specific area of
production. The Brigade system is a system of hierarchy found in restaurants and

Leonardo Da Vinci Last Supper Analysis
An early example of fantastic renaissance and one of the world s most recognizable
paintings, as considered to many all over the world, is Leonardo Da Vinci s Last
Supper, which is an iconic and powerful work of art. Finished in 1494, it has stood
the test the time and you can go see this painting currently in Milan, Italy at the
Santa Maria delle Grazie. In order to paint it, Leonardo used an oil/tempera mix and
applied it to a dry wall. He did this because he wanted to capture the look of an oil
painting, but even within his lifetime it began to wear off. Further destruction was
caused in the seventeenth century, when a door was cut into the bottom, according to
Italianrenaissance.org. As it stands today, this masterpiece is currently 523 years old
which is impressive due to the fact that it has been through so many tragic events,
such as countless wars and occupations of different countries. Natural disasters could
have also easily destroyed it as well like countless other paintings last throughout
time.
Leonardo imagined, and has succeeded in expressing, the desire that has entered the
minds of the apostles to know who is betraying their Master. So in the face of each
one may be seen love, fear, indignation, or grief at not being able to understand the
meaning of Christ; and this excites no less astonishment than the obstinate hatred and
treachery to be seen in Judas. (Georgio Vasari, Lives of the Artists, 1568; translated
by George Bull). In painting the Last

However, customers may request cooking classes be held in their homes, for a price.
By holding cooking classes in customers homes, the company hopes to encourage
consumer loyalty as well as word of mouth advertising. As the word of the cooking
classes makes the rounds through the city, Kudler s fame will increase, as well as the
company s revenues. Implementing a customer relationship management (CRM)
program should fulfill each aspect of expanding Kudler Fine Food s services, which
should increase the company s revenues and customer base. With the increase in the
customer base, implementing a consumer database is necessary.
Frequent Shopper Program Implementing a frequent shopper program at Kudler Fine

level. Tracking the purchase behavior patterns of consumers helps to refine the
company s processes. This, in turn, offers Kudler the best means of satisfying its
customers needs. The company s consumers focus more on the quality of the
specialized items they purchase, and less on the price of the items. For this reason,
providing discounts to the customers depending on the frequency of their purchases
is an incentive for the customers to make purchases more often. Implementing a
frequent shopper program will also help provide high value incentives by initiating a
partnership with a program providing loyalty points. Such a
Gender Roles Of Civic Duties And Raising Children
Throughout Vibia Perpetua s life, Roman society expected her to follow structured
gender roles of civic duties and raising children in her community because she was
female. Perpetua defied the expectations placed upon her since birth by converting to
Christianity and used the freedom of the Christian religion to show her independence
and create her own role as a woman. This essay will analyze Perpetua s defiance of
the gender expectations of civic hood and motherhood of the Roman community, and
how the Christian community allowed her to define her own identity as a woman on
her own terms in conflicting societies.
In Perpetua s time, the role of a woman within the Roman culture was determined
narrowly against gendered expectations. Early Roman society families had a
patriarchal structure meaning the father was the head of the family. The strongest
tie within the family was that between a father and a daughter. Daughters were
expected to [forge] political and social ties for fathers (Salisbury 6). A Roman
daughter was favored the most; they received the best education overseen by their
fathers. The purpose of a strong education was to pass on to their sons the values of
Rome as well as help her to be a good mother in the future (Salisbury 7). One
expectation of a woman in the Roman culture was reproduction in order to continue
lineage. In addition to structured family and social rules, Roman women joined cults
with specific rituals for females to perform. A woman s role

Carlos Cruchaga and his team searched for dementia related genetic variations in
some of these families and Their results were published in 2014 in the journals
Nature and Nature Medicine. The team identified variations in genes called
phospholipase D3 (PLD3) and UNC5C that appear to promote the risk of late onset
Alzheimer s disease. The results of what they found inspired them to keep looking
for more. Dr. Cruchaga received his Association grant in 2011 for a study entitled
Exome Sequencing of Late Onset Alzheimer s Disease Families. Dr. Cruchaga
selected 14 families to observe who have inherited Late Onset Alzheimer. His team
and him later analyzed the exomes from certain members of these families, searching
for gene variations linked to Alzheimer s.
This process initially identified a variation in PLD3 that was shown to double the
risk of Alzheimer s disease in some cases. Previous research has found that people

The book structure
This book has been released for the first time in 2003. Le management interculturel
features 127 pages containing an introduction (from page 3 to 7), four main chapters
(from page 9 to 120), a conclusion (pages 121 and 122), a bibliography (from page
123 to 126) and finally a table of contents at the end of the book (page 127). The
book is written in French and can be found in the collection В«Que sais je?В» at the
Presses Universitaires de France editions (known also as Puf).
Thesis
The goal of the author is to delineate the field of intercultural management and to

The reader will also find thoughts, which tell that this kind of management is not an
accurate science and researches are still in progress to improve the intercultural
managerial strategies (В«However, knowledge gathered together so far are often
rough and the experiences achieved still too rare to see the practices reach
maturity.В» p. 121).
This could either disappoint the reader who expected a straight answer at the end
of the book or invite the reader to follow this topic closely in case of any progress in
the existing theories or the creation of a brand new one.
* Bibliography
The reader throughout the book, as we will see later in the page layout chapter, has
referred to numerous footnotes essentially sending the reader to the pages containing
the bibliography.
This bibliography shows how well did Sylvie Chevrier document her thesis, as the
number of books read or used for her researches is important. This allows also the
reader to walk in the author s footsteps if only he or she wants to dig this topic.
Nearly seventy books are listed with all the information needed to find and buy the
book, which offers a large range of choice to the most interested and curious readers
about the intercultural management.
In order to sum up this first chapter, we have seen that Sylvie Chevrier has smartly
structured her book from the start to the end to let
PAE Synthesis Lab Report
2.2 Materials and Methods: Polyamino ether was obtained from the collaborator Dr.
Kaushal Rege lab in Arizona state University. All other chemicals were obtained from
Sigma Aldrich (St. Louis, MO). 2.2.1 Synthesis of the bioreducible modified PAE:
The obtained PAE polymer was synthesized by reacting neomycin with glycidyl ether
at molar ratio of 1:2 as reported in detail by Rege et al. previously[14]. The modified
bioreducible PAE(mPAE) was synthesized by a simple one step reaction with Traut s
reagent as described previously[15]. Briefly, 10g of PAE was dissolved in 1ml of
ddH20 (Double distilled water) and was allowed to react with 1.85 g(5 times molar
excess) of 2 iminothiolane hydrochloride (IH) at room temperature for 15 h[16]. The
product was dialyzed using a dialysis membrane (MWCO = 1,000 Da) against 5 mM
HCl for 24 h followed by dialysis against 1 mM HCl solution for 24 h. The purified
mPAE was lyophilized and stored at 20В°C for future use [17].... Show more content

The Relationship Of A Young Working Class Hairdresser
When individuals are encountered with unintentional experiences, they are
influenced to alter their thoughts and attitudes. Within the play written by Willy
Russell presents the relationship of a young working class hairdresser, Rita who
meets a retired university lecturer named Frank for the purpose of her driving
motivation to become more educated as she is bored with her ordinary life as a
working hairdresser. The poem was written in the context of 70 s England, and
reflects the significant issues of that time, such as an economic gloom, with
widespread inflation, low productivity, militant trade unionism and frequent strikes.
Within the poem A life by Sylvia Plath is mainly a commentary poem illustrating how
an individual s life is split in two, one half revolving around society and the other half
symbolising anything outside of the conformist nature of society.
Throughout the play of Educating Rita, readers are first introduced to a university
professor who is searching for his hidden alcohol bottles in each section of his
bookshelf. Being revealed to this personal interest, readers are summoned to
perceive Frank as a relaxed character. Jubilantly he moves to the Dickens section
and pulls out a pile of books to reveal a bottle of whiskey. This quote denotes that
Frank keeps his drinking habits a secret, especially away from people who work in
his field of teaching. The metaphorical use of Frank s alcohol being hidden from
others is a symbolic notion of his
The Ways Of Today s Society
The ways of today s society are a trap to the common child. One cannot go out in
public without seeing at least one child using some form of technology. When most
are used to seeing children playing in their front yards or on a playground as they
once did, they have a sudden awakening when they realize, most children are not like
that anymore. Modern cultureis a corruption to one s childhoodand causes a child to
be unsocial, unhealthy, and constantly pressured to follow the newest trends in social
media, however, certain TV shows and websites have been known to try and educate
children. Because of modern technology, kids are becoming more and more unsocial.

Children are not able to develop the social skills that they are supposed to when
they do not get out and play with other adolescents or even interact with their own
family. Because of the fact that kids are sitting inside for so long, they often
become quite unhealthy. As someone sits there for a while, they feel the urge to
snack on foods. Most often, the foods they are snacking on are junk food. Since they
are looking mindlessly at a screen, children find themselves subconsciously eating.
Junk food such as chips and candy can become addictive and it is difficult to stop
eating once started. Not only does the food they eat cause the children to be
unhealthy, but they are also not getting out and being physically active. Children s
developing sensory, motor, and attachment systems have biologically not evolved to
accommodate this sedentary, yet frenzied and chaotic nature of today s technology.
Young children require 2 3 hours per day of active, rough and tumble play to achieve
adequate sensory stimulation to their vestibular, proprioceptive and tactile systems.
Tactile stimulation received through touching, hugging and play is critical for the
development of praxis, or planned movement patterns (The Impact of Technology on
the Developing Child). It is necessary for children to be physically active and play, as
it helps with their physical and mental development.

of Keesh and a novel excerpt named The Life of Pi both authors, Jack London and
Yann Martel, develop certain qualities in characters who find the strength in

Instead, Pi could ve devoured it all in one moment but he chose not to. The Story
of Keesh is similar because the quote, Bok, my father, was a great hunter. I too, his
son shall go hunt the meat that I eat also shows how Keesh was intelligent enough
to realize that he wasn t going to let his mother and him live off of the poor meat
that to council gives them. Therefore, he will go out and hunt his own. This was
intelligent to his survival because Keesh and Ikeega wouldn t be able to survive
off of the small portions of meat they were receiving. The last comparison which Pi
from The Story of Keesh shows is that they are both strategic. In The Life of Pi is
stated, don t I have here a perfect circus ring, inescapably round, without a single
corner for him to hide in? I looked down at the sea. Wasn t this an ideal source of
threats with which I condition him to obey? I noticed a whistle hanging from one
of the life jackets. Wouldn t this make a good whip to keep him in line? This
explains how Pi has a strategy in which he will use several utilities to tame Richard
Parker, the tiger, in order to survive with him on the boat. He would use the whistle
to control his actions, the boat was round therefore the tiger couldn t hide, and the
sharks in the ocean would be a great threat enough to scare Richard Parker. On the
other hand, Keesh was strategic by using blubber
Wireshark Essay
First, let s talk about Wireshark, it is the most common network packet analyzer
used worldwide, perhaps one of the best open source (free) packet analyzers today.
It lets you capture and interactively browse the traffic running on a computer
network, helping you analyze and manage the traffic in your network. Like a
measuring device used to examine what is going on in your network cable, like a
voltmeter used by an electrician to examine what is going on inside an electric
cable. Therefore, gives you the tools to do in depth network analysis, it will try to
capture network packetsand display them as detailed as possible for analysis.
Furthermore, used for troubleshooting network problems, examine security problems,

various statistics, rich VoIP analysis and much more.
The software does not provide intrusion detection system capabilities for your
network. As a result, it will not warn you when someone is trying to do anything bad
to or on your network but it will help you to find out. Additionally, it will not
manipulate things on the network, it will only display things from it. Furthermore, it
does not send packets on the network or does other active things.

resolution or higher, at least 16 bit color and a supported network card for capturing
ethernet and/or 802.11 (wi fi). Wireshark supports most Unix and Unix like platforms
and the system requirements are the equivalents of Windows systems.
An alternative free network analyzer (Packet Sniffer) application available is Capsa it
allows you to monitor network traffic, troubleshoot network issues and analyze

Labelling Theory And High Gang Presence
Nevertheless, labelling theory cannot demonstrate why youth in neighborhoods with
a high gang presence are more likely to interact with gang related activity. Labelling
theory expresses the notions of public perceptions, labelling and shaping individual s
actions (Super 2017; Tutorial 2017). Labelling theory does not address youth in crime
ridden neighbourhoods leading them to a life of crime if society is not shaping
individual s perceptions through the labelling process (Tutorial 2017). Labelling
theory also disregards the choice of individuals to pursue a life of crime ridden
behavior, regardless of the societal factors (Tutorial 2017). Social disorganization
theory emphasizes that disorganized communities produce crime like
neighbourhoods that can be passed on to different generations (Super 2017).... Show

Youth can be drawn to gang membership when they feel the community is no longer
safe through primary deviance which most people take part in and do not get caught
(Super 2017) However, labelling theory ineffectively explains the differences in crime
rates amongst neighbourhoods with a high gang presence and those without (Tutorial
2017). Thus, labelling theory is ineffective in attempting to explain how youth in
neighbourhoods with a high gang presence is an influence for youth to join gangs
(Super 2017; Tutorial 2017). Furthermore, it is unable to provide a bigger macro level
reasoning as to why youth in neighbourhoods with a high gang presence might
influence youth to join gangs and participate in criminal behaviour (Tutorial 2017).
Therefore, labelling theory cannot distinguish the influences of youth gang
membership successfully in the ways in which social disorganization is able to
Science Contradicts Of The Bible
Those who believe that science contradicts the Bible, know little about either topics.
The Bible is a well written account of scientific and historical literature, written over
a period of thousands of years by many different authors inspired by the Holy Spirit
(God s Force on Earth). As a Christian I truly believe the bibleis the living and true
word of God. Scientific proof actually lines up quite well with biblical accounts.
However, to understand the evidence that will be provided, the reader must keep
an open mind and forget what the world want you to believe is correct. Contrary to
popular belief, those who blindly accept scientific theories are as much following a
religion as someone who believes in a Creator God. This is very important... Show

We can clarify the separation of the first and second earth ages in the first two lines
of the bible. Genesis 1:1 2 In the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth. 2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the
deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The key phrase in
Genesis 1:2 is the earth WAS without form. The Hebrew word for was is Strong s
number 1961 haw yaw which translates to: become, to become, to pass away. The
words without form is Strong s 8414 and means tohuw: meaning to lie waste; a
desolation. The word for void is Strong s 922 which means to be empty and
undistinguishable ruin. So if we topically read this phrase it reads as, God created
a world that was without form and void, but when we revert back to the Hebrew
translation of was, it reads as such: the earth became a desolation of
undistinguishable ruin . We can cross reference scriptures here in Isaiah 45:18 For
thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, who is God, Who formed the earth
and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to
be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there is no other . Here Isaiah states the when God
created the earth it was perfect, not a formless
Analysis Of Donaldson s Notion Of An Ethical Wealth Of...
Review Essay Ankita Saikia (ID: W1189198) Introduction: In Donaldson s notion
of an Ethical Wealth of Nations , he talks about an ethical advantage of nations,
and, how ethical values play an important role in molding the foundation of
economic prosperity of nations. In the essay by Professor Jennings, he makes an
attempt to extend Donaldson s work and fill in some of the loopholes in the latter
s theories. The three major points made in his essay are: 1. Institutions play a vital
role in the manner in which ethical values drive a nation to economic prosperity. 2.
Ethical values, in order to be a driving force for economic prosperity, must not only
be intrinsically valued but must be fully interwoven in the institutional fabric of the
society. 3. The moral education of future business leaders should be focused on
instilling in them a mindset comprising of a sense of responsibility for advocating
and preserving the ethical character of society s institutions. After a critical analysis
of the essay, I stand in agreement with the major points. In addition, I feel that it is
the moral education in society which is the founding stone of economic prosperity of
nations, since, moral education will lead to developing the ethical factors which are
essential for boosting the economic prosperity. Role of Institutions: Donaldson s
typesetting of ethical factors seems to be missing a very significant aspect of the
society, which is closely linked

Cellulosic Ethanol Cons
It s not easy being green. This jeremiad of Kermit the Frog rings all too common in
today s energy production crisis. Now more than ever the US needs its energy to be
derived from natural, renewable resources. As George W Bush, an oil supporter,
even stated, America is addicted to oil (Ratliff, 2012). It s now become evident to
those in authoritative roles in the American government that oil will not be able to
sustain our nation unceasingly. Attempts at funding alternative energy sources have
included exploration of various types of ethanol sugar, corn and cellulose. Out of
these three, the most promising is the possibility of ethanol derived from cellulose.
Cellulosic ethanol is a source of energy from fibrous plant material that may... Show

The composition may pose a problem, but the components are also valuable in that
they are natural, renewable resources. Using natural resources instead of oil would
lower the US s dependence on foreign oil. By lowering our oil intake from other
countries, the US can reduce military spending that is directed at maintaining oil
supplies, and instead spend this money on other costs for internal matters. In
addition, most infrastructure is already formed to adapt to this ethanol. Most cars
on the road in the US are Fuel Flex capable, so it would pose no needed change.
Also, around the country there are about 2000 E85 spots available at gas stations.
Overall, its energy output is 2 to 36 times the energy required to produce it. With
more energy output, there is less fuel needed to be created (using less resources)
and consumers will be able to pay less at the pump and instead use it for other
expenses. Most notable, is the fact that using ethanol reduces 85 94% of emissions
compared to oil. Reducing emissions will in turn lower the greenhouse effect, and
lessen global warming effects (GreenTheFuture). In general, this matter is low
costing or free. Municipal solid waste, which can be used, can even be subsidized
to take, since normally it would have to be paid for for its disposal in a landfill. By
using non edible fuel crops and municipal solid waste, consumer prices for groceries
will not be driven upward, unlike corn, which uses farmland that otherwise would
have been used for food production. Thus, corn drives up the price of food (Christian,
Jan. 5, 2015). While opponents argue that it would require vast farming operations,
meaning clearcutting in some cases, acquisition of
The Benefits Of Standard English
In today s society, there are many reasons why people in the world need to know
the fundamentals of using Standard English. When working in a business
environment, we as employees need to know how to use Standard English to
compete in the world and become successful. Many opportunities and rewards can
come from learning how to use proper Standard English. There are many reasons
why people should use Standard English in an office or workspace frequently, and
using non standard English can lead to many effects on your outlook as a professional.
First and foremost, the biggest factor is that first impressions matter even though
some may argue that they don t. The knowledge of Standard English allows people to
communicate efficiently and makes people think very highly of the person at hand, in
most cases throughout life people will not absolutely have to use proper Standard
English but, our society should learn how to be able to switch on and switch off
when they should and should not use Standard English. Non Standard

English can be used amongst friends or with close family because in some cases
they will not expect it from you all the time throughout the weeks but, employees
should never use Non Standard English in a workplace or a formal situation. Using
Standard English will earn a person a great deal of respect in a business place. Many
will see an individual as a very professional worker and will lead to them getting
promoted or offered higher opportunities.

Palace Of Knossos
The ancient Palace of Knossos, located on the Greek island of Crete, was initially
established in 1900 BCE. Not until 1900 CE, however, was this marvellous
archaeological gem unearthed by a team of determined archaeologists, including the
leader of the excavation, Sir Arthur Evans. The contents that were located by Evans
have allowed multiple conclusions to be formulated. These conclusions define the
society in which the Minoans engaged themselves. It can be stated that the society
within the city of Knossoswas a thought provoking, sophisticated and upper class
community that immersed themselves in their culture. The bull frescoes, intricate
plumbing, social structuring, trade and religion exemplify the diversity within the
Minoan society.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is expressed that there were special rooms in the palace set aside as shrines for
ritual purposes. Specifically, the common religious symbol was the double axe.
Cult figurines were also apparent; these were formed from terracotta clay, where
several of these revealed goddess s dressed in Minoan fashion, holding a snake in
either hand. Mycenaean s held cult festivals annually, in which they worshiped the
deity (Minoancivilisation n.d.). The website explains that the King of Knossos
influenced the Minoan society and their religious beliefs, as he was related to Zeus.
Derived from this are multiple implicit values. For one, it is quite evident that the
Minoans religion was elaborate, communicating that they were extremely dedicated
to their beliefs and morals. In addition to this, it is also suggested that they were a
society that was easily manipulated as exemplified through the influence of the king.
Similarly, Cottrell, an ancient archaeology based author, details that archaeologists
discovered ancient crypts, which were dark underground chambers. These locations
served for the purpose of holding mysterious religious practices, known as earth
worship. This was often inscribed with the sign of the double axe. It is also
communicated that the double axe was a powerful symbol that was used as a ritual
instrument for the sacrifice of the bull. Gained from
Contracts and Company Law
Company Law The nature of a company: While there are many types of associations
of persons, companies that are formed under the Companies Act have a fictitious
personality and are persons in the eyes of law. Thus the company is a separate entity
from the members who constitute it. The affairs of the company are actually a
contract between the members and the fictitious entity that is created by the contract
called the memorandum of association . It is from this the legal distinction between
the member and the outsider originates. Subscribing to the memorandum creates a
contract and the birth of the company and the members have righst and obligations.
From the view point of the European Court of Jusice in Powell Duffryn Pic Vs
Peteriet (1992) and the oldest law in Welton V Saffery (1897) show that there exists
a contractual obligation between company and members. There is confusion still
about the section 14 and the type of contract it creates. The articles of association is a
contract between the company and its members. The contract is binding between the
comppany and the members in so far as the acts that are done affects one or both the
parties. Members contracting with the company can do so as members only if they
are permitted to contract within the provisions of the articles. The articles govern the
action of the company and it forms its constitution and any deviation from this is
ultravires to the objects of forming the company. Pender Vs Lushington [1877}
Doctrine of Frustration
Contract assignment Doctrine of frustration Doctrine of frustration ACCORDING
to Section 56, an agreement to do an act impossible in itself is void (for example,
an agreement to discover treasure by magic). Supervening impossibility or illegality
refers to the intrusion or occurrence of an unexpected event or change of
circumstances beyond the contemplation of the parties; such event or change of
circumstances must be so fundamental as to be regarded by law as striking at the
root of contract as a whole or the basis of the contract no longer exists. Subsequent
impossibility in the UK is referred to as Doctrine of Frustration. A contract is deemed
to have become impossible of performance and, thus, void under the following
circumstances:... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The data for decision, on the one hand, the terms and conditions of the contract,
read in the light of the then circumstances and, on the other hand, the events which
have occurred. In the nature of thing there is often no need for any elaborate
enquiry. The Court must act upon a general impression of what its rule requires. It
is for that reason that special importance is necessarily attached to the occurrence
of an unexpected event that, as it were, changes the face of the things. But even
so, it is not hardship or inconvenience or material loss itself which calls the
principle of frustration into play. (18) IMPOSSIBILITY OF PERFORMANCE
AMOUNTS TO FRUSTRATION A man can be expected to do what is humanly
possible but he cannot be expected morally or legally to do what is not physically
possible. It cannot be disputed that when a thing is beyond the human control it
cannot be expected from the party which had undertaken to do the work to suffer
the consequences of not proceeding with the contract work and in such a situation
both the parties are relieved from their contractual responsibilities. The word
impossible in Section 56 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 has not been used in the
sense of physical or literal impossibility. The performance of an act may not be
literally impossible, but it may be impracticable and unless from the point of view of
Diversity For Everyone
All throughout the world, humans have enjoyed eating food, but in the United
States, it is crucial that the range of options stays in the marketplace. Diversity is a
range of values or options laid down for choosing. In this world, people cannot help
but see all the differences around them. Especially in food, it is important to continue
seeing these differences as less and less diversity is starting to become a problem.
More diverse options are better than restricted ones. If this is removed, or even
reduced, there will be huge complications (#10). Diversity must stay if people want
happy lives. Here are several reasons why.
Simply being human, means that people need a source of energy to live. This energy

Removing this diversity would make the fun past time of having something to eat, a
boring task to complete. It is one of the humankind s most entertaining pastimes from
watching a ball game to having a nice meal as a family. Life simply would not have
been the same if there were no diversity. Cultures would look similar as their diets
would have little effect on them over time. Many would have similar problems alike
because of the lack of vitamins and minerals needed for food around the world. This
is the main reason why there are import and export policies around the world even to

Eating Breakfas
You re in a business lunch dilemma. No way to get out of the lunch, but you don t
want to screw your diet up. What should you do? Luckily, most restaurants now mark
which of the menu items are healthy, some even have the calories and fat grams on
the menu. If you know where you will be eating beforehand, visit their website to get
the information you need.
It can be harder to get fruits during winter. Don t forget that high quality fruit and
vegetable juices and drinks, frozen, canned or dried fruits also count. Be careful
though when you buy fruit in sweetened syrup, as they usually have high sugar
content. Eating whole fruits are healthier as they contain not only vitamins, but fiber
too.

A good way to lose weight is to eat six small meals a day instead of the usual three.
By eating six smaller meals, you ll never feel hungry, which means you ll be less

The National Security Scam
September 11th, 2001, arguably the most unforgettable day in modern history of the
United States of America. It is a day that acts as a launch pad for the National
Security Agency (NSA) and the plea for unlawful surveillance of Americans. The
National Security Agency is understood to have the power to global monitoring,
collection, decoding, and analysis through clandestine means of information for
foreign intelligence and counterintelligence purposes (Nsa 1). Following 9/11, the
Bush administration created the USA PATRIOT Act, established in a time of
distress. The USA PATRIOT Act, giving the government the power to search phone
records, emails, and other forms of communication to gather intelligence (Nsa 1). It
lives on today under the control of President Obama who has forged compliances
with big name companies to access intelligence on all scales in a primarily digital
world. Considering the power of the government, anything can be deemed legal with
the votes and fabricated statements of a bright future given by authorized lawmakers.
The covert operating style of the National SecurityAgency allows for the collection of
an unreasonable amount of communication records making a mockery of one s way
of life and guaranteed liberties. Since the introduction of the Fourth Amendment, the
people of the United Statesof America have been given the right to privacy. The
interpretation of the Fourth Amendment as it stands today is in a state of corruption

The Current Wealth Adequacy Of Older Americans Essay
While using financial ratios to measure wealth adequacey, Love, Smith, and
McNair (2008) examined the current wealth adequacy of older U.S. households,
those age 55 and older, using the 1998 2006 waves of the Health and Retirement
Study (HRS). To establish a benchmark of wealth adequacy, poverty line wealth
was analyzed to establish a base line level of wealth required to provide income
over the projected remaining lifetimes of each household member. Due to the
poverty line being an unaspiring goal to meet, 1.5 to 3 times poverty wealth was
used as a relevant threshold. The results of the study indicated that the median older
U.S. household is reasonably prepared for retirement, with a ratio of comprehensive
net wealth to present value poverty line wealth of about 3.9 in 2006. The study also
determined that 18 percent of households possessed less wealth than what is
necessary to generate 150 percent of poverty line income over their expected future
lifetimes. When comparing the leading edge of the baby boomer generation in 2006
to households of the same age in 1998, Love et al. (2008) determined that the 2006
baby boomers held slightly less wealth than their elders. Moreover, single boomers
showed higher incidence of inadequacy than the previoulsy measured generation.
Yuh, Montalto, and Hanna (1998) investigated the determinants of the likelihood of
having adequate retirement wealth for pre retirment households. Households were
included in the study if the respondent was

Set in the American South, the song Goodbye, Earl, written by Dennis Linde and
performed by the Dixie Chicks, is a comedic story of vengeance and retribution. Best
friends throughout high school, Wanda and Mary Anne part ways after graduation,
but eventually meet back up to murder Earl, the abusive husband of Wanda. Using
double entendres, strong imagery, and a light tone, Linde and the Dixie Chicks
conveyed the strength of Southern women through their song, but also created
controversy with a divisive music video. By naming one of the characters Mary
Anne, the writer immediately evokes a sense of Southern lineage. Almost unheard of
in other regions, double names are incredibly popular in the American south. On the
other hand, the name Wanda etymologically means a Wend. While Mary Anne had
been the one out of the two to physically leave after graduation lookin for a bright
new world, Wanda wends all around town and stumbles upon Earl. In this aspect,
Wanda does not choose to be in an abusive relationship she falls into it.
Additionally, the song mentions that both women were members of the 4H club and
active members in the FFA. Both of these organizations are well known youth
development groups with academic advancement and leadership goals. Placing a
great importance on community activism, Southern women are expected to be active
participants in the community and at school. Differing in life goals, Mary Anne
ventured out into the world while Wanda stayed in

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Camelcase And
Underscoc
Two naming conventions that can be used for the coding of this application is
camelCase and underscore_case. A particular naming convention is used for an easy
identification of variables, function and types. camelCase is the typographical
convention where a name is formed up of many words each having a capital letter at
the start barring the first word eg. payPal, startTheFunction (whatheco.de, 2017). This
convention is mostly used in JavaScript and python however can be used with
practically all programming languages. This unique capitalisation process makes the
name easily readable. An advantage of cameCase is that any programming language

Instances where the second word is joined and capitalised like camelCase is a lot
fewer than those with an underscore. This means that functions and variables could

Responsibilities of a user or developer
Discuss the different methods and structures the developers could use to back up the
development of this application to protect against loss
One of the many responsibilities a developer or user has, is to back up the files.
Three methods of data backup include the RAID system, cloud, and grandfather
father son.
RAID (redundant array of independent disks), is a method of staring virtual data on
separate disk drives that combine to make a single logical unit for the purpose of
data redundancy. Data is distributed to across the drives depending on the required
level of performance and redundancy. There can be up to 6 RAID levels. RAID
level 1 consists of data mirroring without parity. Data is written identically to two
drives. When the data is requested to every drive in the set then it will be serviced
by the drive that read the information first. This method is slow because if one
drive needs updated then the other drive will need to be too. If one drive fails to
function, it does not matter because the second drive can still produce the same
output. RAID 2 consists of bit level striping

Methane Research Paper
Methane
1. Methane was first discovered by Alessandro Volta in 1778 while on summer
vacation at Lake Maggiore in Italy. He noticed large bubbles of gas coming to the
surface from the stirred up sediment of the lake, when he poked the muddy bottom of
the water with a stick. He collected them for further experimentation and discovered
it was inflammable. He called it inflammable air from marshlands [1].
Methane is created naturally near the Earth s surface by microorganisms by the
process of methanogenesis. It is produced in wetlands by the anaerobic bacterial
decomposition of vegetable matter under water. Other natural sources of methane
include termites (as a result of their digestive processes) [2], volcanoes, vents in the
ocean floor, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stability: Chemically, methane is very stable and remains unaffected when treated
with acids (H2SO4, HNO3) and reagents like Potassium permanganate, Potassium
dichromate. ii. Combustion: Methane burns in excess of air or oxygen with a pale
blue nonluminous flame to give carbon dioxide and water. As combustion reaction is
highly exothermic (it gives out heat), methane is an excellent source of fuel.

If the oxygen supply is restricted then the combustion methane undergoes incomplete
(or partial) combustion producing highly poisonous, carbon monoxide (CO) gas.
2CH4 + 3O2 в†’ 2CO+ 4H2O iii. Substitution reactions: In a substitution reaction,
one atom is swapped with another atom. These are very useful reactions in the
chemical industry because they allow chemists to change one compound into
something more useful, building up designer molecules like drugs. Methane reacts
with chlorine (or bromine) in the presence of sunlight or a halogen carrier to give
haloalkene, in which one or more H atoms are replaced by equal number of halogen
atoms.

Also, these results provide vital information to assess the situation to develop
public health interventions, and to sensitise the concerned agencies to implement
the laws related to violence against women. The overall prevalence of physical,
psychological, sexual and any form of violence among women of Eastern India
were 16%, 52%, 25% and 56% respectively. These rates reported by men were 22%,
59%, 17% and 59.5% respectively. Men reported higher prevalence of all forms of
violence apart from sexual violence. Husbands were mostly responsible for violence
in majority of cases and some women reported the involvement of husbands parents.
It is found that various acts of violence were continuing among majority of women
who reported violence. Some socio economic characteristics of women have
significant association with the occurrence of domestic violence. Urban residence,
older age, lower education and lower family income are associated with occurrence of
domestic violence. Multivariate logistic regressions revealed that the physical
violence has significant association with state, residence (rural or urban), age and
occupation of women, and monthly family income. Similar associations are found for
psychological violence (with residence, age, education and occupation of the women
and monthly family income) and sexual violence

Coming Of Age Stories
Coming of age stories are defined as stories where a vital character goes through a
significant maturation process. Both Jane Eyre and a portrait of the artist as a
young man match this description. The respective main characters, Jane Eyre and
Stephen Dedalus both undergo a series of maturation changes as they venture into
adulthood and all that it entails. Although Jane and Stephen are very different in
terms of their lifestyle preferences, beliefs, customs and manners, many similarities
can be drawn from the two concerning the hardships and adversities they are faced
with as they grow up. Jane s uncle s dying wish was that his wife raise Jane. As a
young child she was harassed by her cousin John Reed who would always be aided
by his mom. While locked in the haunted red room, Jane believes that she sees the
ghost of her uncle who sought to protect her. Jane is forced to grow up without love
from her family. In contrast, Stephen is raised in a loving home in Ireland. Whereas

concerned with physical relationships. Once Stephen chose to reject religion and
simply pursue a sexual relationship and an artistic career he became very different

The Problem Of Rapid Population Growth
It took the beginning of time until 1804 to reach a world population of one billion
people. Population statistics show that there were 1.6 billion people in 1900 and
this figure reached 6 billion before the end of the 20th century. Over the past several
decades, the world s population has been growing exponentially. According to the
population statistics, this figure is going to ascend to more than 9 billion people by
the end of 2050. Recent studies shows that the growth rate of population has
somewhat steadied from the prior projections due to various things such as increased
education, along with higher death rates due to the spread of numerous diseases.
Despite these recent projections, the overall trend of rapid population growthremains,
creating numerous challenges for engineers. The main concern for engineers is that
this rapid increase in population, along with fast paced industrial growth, places a
tremendous strain on land, energy, and water resources that are essential for human
survival. These challenges for engineers will required them to use their talents in
effort to improve these situations.
One of the biggest concerns for engineers with the growing population is the
tremendous strain on land. In many areas of the world, the land suited for food
production is dwindling. This creates a major problem since there will be a high
demand of food production with the growing population. Suitable land and mass food
production are both necessary for human survival.
Who Is Mr. Kurtz Dehumanize In Heart Of Darkness
The horror, the horror were the chilling words that preceded the death of Mr. Kurtz
(Conrad 105). With his last words, Mr. Kurtz came to realization of the darkness he
had so long been a part of. He and the other pilgrims like him embodied the paradox
of a civilized savage. Their honest efforts to humanize the natives they saw as wild
beasts, quickly turned to a brutal and unjust treatment of them. As time went on their
hearts became hardened and their actions grew worse. They themselves became less
human then the people they had come to civilize. Their progressive downfall
demonstrated that outside of social constraints there is nothing to stop men from
yielding to the darkness of their hearts.

Kurtz is the personification of the darkness that all men have inside of themselves.
He was a normal man with ambition and charisma until he realized that to succeed
in the jungle he must become like a god to the natives. They adored him and
because of their adoration and the lack of restrictions that were placed on him, he
could do whatever he wanted to and nobody would stop him (84). There was nothing
on earth to prevent him killing whom he jolly well pleased and so that is what he
did. As time passed his seclusion from the civilized world grew, ...the wilderness...
whispered to him things that about himself which he did not know, things of which
he had no concept till he took counsel with this great solitude (87). It caused him to
do things that the civilized Kurtz would not dream of doing. He became mad to the
point of exhibiting the heads of native men that he killed on stakes outside of his
home. Those heads showed that Mr. Kurtz lacked restraint in the gratification of his
various lusts, that there was something wanting in him... that could not be found
under his magnificent eloquence (87). Kurtz embodied what was at the heart of
imperialism. Through his character, Conrad demonstrated that the result of progress
outside of social restraint is madness and ultimately reveals a heart of utter

Essay On Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness

  • 1. Essay On Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness Writing an essay on the topic "Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness" can be both challenging and rewarding. While the phrase itself is straightforward, delving into the nuances and implications requires a thoughtful exploration of various aspects. The difficulty arises from the need to strike a balance between personal perspectives, cultural influences, and the broader societal context. To begin with, one must navigate through the historical and cultural dimensions of cleanliness, understanding how different societies have interpreted and valued cleanliness over time. This necessitates extensive research to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the topic. Moreover, the essay should address the diverse cultural, religious, and philosophical perspectives on cleanliness, offering a nuanced view that goes beyond a superficial understanding. The complexity of the subject is heightened by the evolving nature of cleanliness standards and practices. What might be considered clean in one culture may differ significantly from another. It is essential to explore these variations, acknowledging the subjectivity inherent in defining cleanliness and its relation to godliness. Additionally, crafting an essay on this topic requires a careful consideration of the socio- economic factors that influence access to cleanliness. Disparities in resources and education can impact an individual's ability to maintain a clean environment. Addressing these inequalities adds another layer of depth to the essay, requiring a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and potential solutions. Furthermore, the essay should explore the psychological and spiritual dimensions of cleanliness. How does the concept of cleanliness impact mental well-being and spiritual practices? This aspect demands a thoughtful examination of the psychological effects of a clean environment and its potential influence on one's connection with spirituality. In conclusion, while writing an essay on "Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness," one must navigate through historical, cultural, socio-economic, and psychological dimensions. European Starling or Sturnus Vulgaris Essay The Common Starling, otherwise known as Sturnus Vulgaris or European Starling, is a medium sized songbird that is a member of the Sturnidae bird family. These birds are known to mimic sounds from other species and can even mimic human speech when held in captivity. They are very stout in their build and have short tails. They change color depending on the season, such as purple green feathers in the summer and brown feathers with white spots in the winter. Common Starlings originated in Europe, specifically Norway, Russia, and Siberia. During the winter, they migrated to northern Africa and India. Starlings can transmit diseases to livestock and humans such as transmissible gastroenteritis virus, salmonella, and blastomycosis. Histoplasmosis, a fungal respiratory disease, is another health concern. It s occurs during large winter roosts with these birds. The mass accrue of droppings enrich the soil where the fungus grows. When disturbed, the spores from the fungus can become airborne. If inhaled, Histoplasmosis can be contracted. Most cases are mild, but on occasion it can cause blindness and even death. Starlings are extremely aggressive and will compete with other species of birds as well as their own. They attack other birds and their nests, sometimes even taking over their nest as their own. Eggs in those nests are usually destroyed by the Starling. Because of the Starlings aggressive ways, there has been a decrease of native birds. Although Starlings cause numerous problems, they have also been shown to benefit the environment. Starlings will eat just about anything from seeds to small insects and other invertebrates. This greatly helps control the pest problems in agricultural areas. Numerous control methods have been advised to stop the expansion of Starlings. These methods

  • 5. John Donne s Poetry Of Poetry Essay When John Donne s collection of poetry, Songs and Sonnets, was published in 1633 it was established as a piece of literature that would transcend the ages, containing wit, experimentation and creativity. However, once the years furthered into the late nineteenth century and the audience of Donne s work grew outside of the usual collective of male readers, a new perspective took shape. These ideas did not dismiss the change Donne s work brought to his genre but rather questioned the attitude towards his genders counterpart within the poetry. A feministic approach emerged with the acknowledgement that Donne s views revealed sexist when analyzed. Such concepts are discussed within George Parfitt s John Donneas the novel considers Donne s opinions along with it s relation to his history. This wave of feministic criticism is exhibited when Parfitt examines the belief that John s work narrows women into a set group and observes that as a category women are objects of Donne s wit and of interest only in that respect. (32). During the poet s life he became a part of the courts where Donne preached during his time as a priest in 1615 until his death. This setting allowed for little connection with women outside his wife and other lower class women as it was an all male institution, thus his understanding of the femalemind exterior from these instances did not hold validity. Parfitt comments that the excluded sex [was] both idealised and denigrated, (30) in said environments. It

The 2NZEF (2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Forces) along with other allies (american 5th army, indian 4th division, british 8th army etc.) who were stationed in cassino at different times were given the objective of crushing the gustav line, a defense line that ran through the mountainous regions of Abruzzi and Campania, south west of Rome. The 28th MДЃori Battalion landed in italy in october 1943 facing an extreme change of landscape and weather. Prior to being called to arms in Italy, from late 1941 to early 1943 the MДЃori Battalion confronted Erwin Rommel s Afrika Korps and Italian forces in the vast North African desert a harsh environment of extreme temperatures, ferocious sandstorms and swarming flies. The condition in Africa was quite different from Monte Cassino with the men needing to fight in extremely uncomfortable conditions. Cold nights and searing daytime temperatures made life uncomfortable for soldiers in forward positions, shade was hard to find and makeshift shelters did little to block the sun. Sandstorms were a regular hazard, and dust stirred up by vehicles and shellfire covered everything.
  • 7. Reagan Administration s Foreign Policy in Latin America... Reagan Administration s Foreign Policy in Latin America Throughout the Cold War the United States considered the installation in Latin America of radical regimes socialist, Marxist Leninist, or leftist in any way to be utterly intolerable. Any such development would represent an advance for the communist cause and a vital loss for the West. Acceptance of this outcome could weaken the credibility of the United States as the leader of the west and as a rival for the USSR. In the eyes of Cold Warriors, the consolidation of any left wing regime in the Western Hemisphere would have dire and perilous implications for U.S. national security and for the global distribution of power. Reagan justified the operation as an effort to protect US citizens whose safety was threatened because a gang of leftist thugs (Lake 182) had seized power to forestall further chaos, and assist in restoration of democracy. In El Salvador, a mountainous coffee growing country of 5 million citizens was ruled by an unholy alliance of large scale landowners and military officers. Acceleration of agriculture exports during the 1960 s led to an increased concentration of rural holdings by large scale landowners and in turn increased the percentage of peasants who had no land at all. A reformist challenge to the status quo came through the Christian Democratic Party, under the leadership of JosГ© Duarte. As mayor of San Salvador, Duarte built strong connections with intellectuals, professionals, and other middle class groups that if the military hadn t interfered and imposed dictatorial rule he would have surely won the election for presidency in 1972. Fake elections in 1977 led to the installation of General Carlos Humberto Romero as president, who imposed a law to defend and guarantee public order. Analysis Of The Canterbury Tales Will Kasdan Mrs. Nagel British Literature 11.2 25 May, 2017 Here s Where the Story Ends Fables and myths constitute the foundation of nearly every culture, and are passed down through generations, never losing their meaning and allure. Many factors make a story special, including its plot, essence, and characters, but only the storyteller holds within themselves the potential to deliver a narration that will inspire their audience and leave a lasting mark. In a quaint example of metafiction, many novels have been published with a central theme of storytelling. Two such examples following this concept is The Canterbury Tales, written by Geoffrey Chaucer in 1478, and Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley 1818. Three characters in The ... The Wife of Bath and The Monster quickly intrigue their respective audiences by flooding them with emotion. The Wife of Bath shares her negative views on marriage, while The Monster prepares to tell his heartbreaking story. By expressing their emotions, both narrators are able to share their beliefs and views, impacting their listeners. This is just one power of storytelling, where an outpour of emotions can be so powerful moving, having a profound effect on the audience. In addition, by articulating their emotions, the storytellers give the crowd an opportunity to enter their own minds, further allowing the audience to experience the story from the eyes of the narrator. Another critical facet in storytelling lies in parables, which carry moral lessons. In his fable, the Pardoner imparts a crucial message of the destructiveness of greed. In his prologue, the Pardoner makes his explanation very clear: But let me briefly make my purpose plain / I preach for nothing but for the greed of gain / And use the same old text, as bold as brass / Radix malorum est cupiditas (Chaucer 243). Providing another meaningful anecdote is The Monster, who explains how love is a powerful emotion that can get one through loneliness and isolation. The Monster makes clear his message of requiring a companion: If I cannot inspire

Non invasive medical techniques can be defined as surgical procedures that do not require the penetration or damage of the skin tissue. Examples of non invasive medical techniques are imaging techniques such as x rays and ultrasound. Minimally invasive medical techniques can be defined as surgical procedures that require the smallest incision into the skin. Examples of minimally invasive medical techniques include keyhole surgery and laser eye surgery. 2.Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of non invasive and minimally invasive medical techniques. Non invasive medical techniques have proven to be advantageous. Imaging techniques are advantageous because they are useful in diagnosing and conditions and diseases in the body, even before symptoms have appeared. For example, x rays can detect broken bones, kidney stones and tooth decay. Thermography can detect breast cancer 8 years before symptoms have started appearing. Non invasive medical techniques also take considerable less time to perform on patients than invasive medical techniques. Shorter time in hospital means reduced health care costs which are another advantage of non invasive medical techniques. On the other hand, non invasive medical techniques have a few disadvantages. Non invasive medical techniques involve imaging techniques which often requires the patient being exposed

Leonardo Da Vinci Last Supper Analysis An early example of fantastic renaissance and one of the world s most recognizable paintings, as considered to many all over the world, is Leonardo Da Vinci s Last Supper, which is an iconic and powerful work of art. Finished in 1494, it has stood the test the time and you can go see this painting currently in Milan, Italy at the Santa Maria delle Grazie. In order to paint it, Leonardo used an oil/tempera mix and applied it to a dry wall. He did this because he wanted to capture the look of an oil painting, but even within his lifetime it began to wear off. Further destruction was caused in the seventeenth century, when a door was cut into the bottom, according to Italianrenaissance.org. As it stands today, this masterpiece is currently 523 years old which is impressive due to the fact that it has been through so many tragic events, such as countless wars and occupations of different countries. Natural disasters could have also easily destroyed it as well like countless other paintings last throughout time. Leonardo imagined, and has succeeded in expressing, the desire that has entered the minds of the apostles to know who is betraying their Master. So in the face of each one may be seen love, fear, indignation, or grief at not being able to understand the meaning of Christ; and this excites no less astonishment than the obstinate hatred and treachery to be seen in Judas. The patients were divided into 3 treatment groups: group 1 was treated with a glycerine based 10% potassium nitrate gel; group 2 was treated with a glycerine gel without potassium nitrate; and group 3 received no gel and no treatment (control). Following brushing and flossing, groups 1 and 2 applied the gel to the test teeth using custom made soft acrylic trays, for a period of 5 min/ day for 4 weeks. Patient responses to cold water stimuli were measured at baseline (week 0), then at I , 2 , 3 and 4 week intervals. Group 1 patients showed a significant decrease in sensitivity to cold at week 2 only. The group 2 patients showed a significant decrease in sensitivity to cold after 3 and 4 weeks. A statistically significant decrease in sensitivity was noted between group 2 and group 3 patients at week 3, the most sustained decrease in sensitivity to cold was found on teeth treated with plain glycerine. Gender Roles Of Civic Duties And Raising Children Throughout Vibia Perpetua s life, Roman society expected her to follow structured gender roles of civic duties and raising children in her community because she was female. Perpetua defied the expectations placed upon her since birth by converting to Christianity and used the freedom of the Christian religion to show her independence and create her own role as a woman. This essay will analyze Perpetua s defiance of the gender expectations of civic hood and motherhood of the Roman community, and how the Christian community allowed her to define her own identity as a woman on her own terms in conflicting societies. In Perpetua s time, the role of a woman within the Roman culture was determined narrowly against gendered expectations. Early Roman society families had a patriarchal structure meaning the father was the head of the family. The strongest tie within the family was that between a father and a daughter. Daughters were expected to [forge] political and social ties for fathers (Salisbury 6). A Roman daughter was favored the most; they received the best education overseen by their fathers. The purpose of a strong education was to pass on to their sons the values of Rome as well as help her to be a good mother in the future (Salisbury 7). One expectation of a woman in the Roman culture was reproduction in order to continue lineage. In addition to structured family and social rules, Roman women joined cults with specific rituals for females to perform. A woman s role

As a Christian I truly believe the bibleis the living and true word of God. Scientific proof actually lines up quite well with biblical accounts. However, to understand the evidence that will be provided, the reader must keep an open mind and forget what the world want you to believe is correct. Contrary to popular belief, those who blindly accept scientific theories are as much following a religion as someone who believes in a Creator God. This is very important... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We can clarify the separation of the first and second earth ages in the first two lines of the bible. Genesis 1:1 2 In the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The key phrase in Genesis 1:2 is the earth WAS without form. The Hebrew word for was is Strong s number 1961 haw yaw which translates to: become, to become, to pass away. The words without form is Strong s 8414 and means tohuw: meaning to lie waste; a desolation. The word for void is Strong s 922 which means to be empty and undistinguishable ruin. So if we topically read this phrase it reads as, God created a world that was without form and void, but when we revert back to the Hebrew translation of was, it reads as such: the earth became a desolation of undistinguishable ruin . We can cross reference scriptures here in Isaiah 45:18 For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there is no other . Here Isaiah states the when God created the earth it was perfect, not a formless

Review Essay Ankita Saikia (ID: W1189198) Introduction: In Donaldson s notion of an Ethical Wealth of Nations , he talks about an ethical advantage of nations, and, how ethical values play an important role in molding the foundation of economic prosperity of nations. In the essay by Professor Jennings, he makes an attempt to extend Donaldson s work and fill in some of the loopholes in the latter s theories. The three major points made in his essay are: 1. Institutions play a vital role in the manner in which ethical values drive a nation to economic prosperity. 2. Ethical values, in order to be a driving force for economic prosperity, must not only be intrinsically valued but must be fully interwoven in the institutional fabric of the society. 3. The moral education of future business leaders should be focused on instilling in them a mindset comprising of a sense of responsibility for advocating and preserving the ethical character of society s institutions. After a critical analysis of the essay, I stand in agreement with the major points. In addition, I feel that it is the moral education in society which is the founding stone of economic prosperity of nations, since, moral education will lead to developing the ethical factors which are essential for boosting the economic prosperity. Role of Institutions: Donaldson s typesetting of ethical factors seems to be missing a very significant aspect of the society, which is closely linked

Now more than ever the US needs its energy to be derived from natural, renewable resources. As George W Bush, an oil supporter, even stated, America is addicted to oil (Ratliff, 2012). It s now become evident to those in authoritative roles in the American government that oil will not be able to sustain our nation unceasingly. Attempts at funding alternative energy sources have included exploration of various types of ethanol sugar, corn and cellulose. Using natural resources instead of oil would lower the US s dependence on foreign oil. By lowering our oil intake from other countries, the US can reduce military spending that is directed at maintaining oil supplies, and instead spend this money on other costs for internal matters. In addition, most infrastructure is already formed to adapt to this ethanol. Most cars on the road in the US are Fuel Flex capable, so it would pose no needed change. Also, around the country there are about 2000 E85 spots available at gas stations. Overall, its energy output is 2 to 36 times the energy required to produce it. With more energy output, there is less fuel needed to be created (using less resources) and consumers will be able to pay less at the pump and instead use it for other expenses. Most notable, is the fact that using ethanol reduces 85 94% of emissions compared to oil. Reducing emissions will in turn lower the greenhouse effect, and lessen global warming effects (GreenTheFuture). In general, this matter is low costing or free. Municipal solid waste, which can be used, can even be subsidized to take, since normally it would have to be paid for for its disposal in a landfill. By using non edible fuel crops and municipal solid waste, consumer prices for groceries will not be driven upward, unlike corn, which uses farmland that otherwise would have been used for food production. Thus, corn drives up the price of food (Christian, Jan. 5, 2015). While opponents argue that it would require vast farming operations, meaning clearcutting in some cases, acquisition of

Not until 1900 CE, however, was this marvellous archaeological gem unearthed by a team of determined archaeologists, including the leader of the excavation, Sir Arthur Evans. The contents that were located by Evans have allowed multiple conclusions to be formulated. These conclusions define the society in which the Minoans engaged themselves. It can be stated that the society within the city of Knossoswas a thought provoking, sophisticated and upper class community that immersed themselves in their culture. The bull frescoes, intricate plumbing, social structuring, trade and religion exemplify the diversity within the Minoan society.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is expressed that there were special rooms in the palace set aside as shrines for ritual purposes. Specifically, the common religious symbol was the double axe. Cult figurines were also apparent; these were formed from terracotta clay, where several of these revealed goddess s dressed in Minoan fashion, holding a snake in either hand. Mycenaean s held cult festivals annually, in which they worshiped the deity (Minoancivilisation n.d.). The website explains that the King of Knossos influenced the Minoan society and their religious beliefs, as he was related to Zeus. Derived from this are multiple implicit values. For one, it is quite evident that the Minoans religion was elaborate, communicating that they were extremely dedicated to their beliefs and morals. In addition to this, it is also suggested that they were a society that was easily manipulated as exemplified through the influence of the king. Similarly, Cottrell, an ancient archaeology based author, details that archaeologists discovered ancient crypts, which were dark underground chambers. These locations served for the purpose of holding mysterious religious practices, known as earth worship. This was often inscribed with the sign of the double axe. It is also communicated that the double axe was a powerful symbol that was used as a ritual instrument for the sacrifice of the bull. Gained from
  • 35. Contracts and Company Law Company Law The nature of a company: While there are many types of associations of persons, companies that are formed under the Companies Act have a fictitious personality and are persons in the eyes of law. Thus the company is a separate entity from the members who constitute it. The affairs of the company are actually a contract between the members and the fictitious entity that is created by the contract called the memorandum of association . It is from this the legal distinction between the member and the outsider originates. Subscribing to the memorandum creates a contract and the birth of the company and the members have righst and obligations. From the view point of the European Court of Jusice in Powell Duffryn Pic Vs Peteriet (1992) and the oldest law in Welton V Saffery (1897) show that there exists a contractual obligation between company and members. There is confusion still about the section 14 and the type of contract it creates. The articles of association is a contract between the company and its members. The contract is binding between the comppany and the members in so far as the acts that are done affects one or both the parties. Members contracting with the company can do so as members only if they are permitted to contract within the provisions of the articles. The articles govern the action of the company and it forms its constitution and any deviation from this is ultravires to the objects of forming the company. Pender Vs Lushington [1877}

Doctrine of Frustration Contract assignment Doctrine of frustration Doctrine of frustration ACCORDING to Section 56, an agreement to do an act impossible in itself is void (for example, an agreement to discover treasure by magic). Supervening impossibility or illegality refers to the intrusion or occurrence of an unexpected event or change of circumstances beyond the contemplation of the parties; such event or change of circumstances must be so fundamental as to be regarded by law as striking at the root of contract as a whole or the basis of the contract no longer exists. Subsequent impossibility in the UK is referred to as Doctrine of Frustration. A contract is deemed to have become impossible of performance and, thus, void under the following circumstances:... The data for decision, on the one hand, the terms and conditions of the contract, read in the light of the then circumstances and, on the other hand, the events which have occurred. In the nature of thing there is often no need for any elaborate enquiry. The Court must act upon a general impression of what its rule requires. It is for that reason that special importance is necessarily attached to the occurrence of an unexpected event that, as it were, changes the face of the things. But even so, it is not hardship or inconvenience or material loss itself which calls the principle of frustration into play. (18) IMPOSSIBILITY OF PERFORMANCE AMOUNTS TO FRUSTRATION A man can be expected to do what is humanly possible but he cannot be expected morally or legally to do what is not physically possible. It cannot be disputed that when a thing is beyond the human control it cannot be expected from the party which had undertaken to do the work to suffer the consequences of not proceeding with the contract work and in such a situation both the parties are relieved from their contractual responsibilities. To establish a benchmark of wealth adequacy, poverty line wealth was analyzed to establish a base line level of wealth required to provide income over the projected remaining lifetimes of each household member. Due to the poverty line being an unaspiring goal to meet, 1.5 to 3 times poverty wealth was used as a relevant threshold. The results of the study indicated that the median older U.S. household is reasonably prepared for retirement, with a ratio of comprehensive net wealth to present value poverty line wealth of about 3.9 in 2006. Both Jane Eyre and a portrait of the artist as a young man match this description. The respective main characters, Jane Eyre and Stephen Dedalus both undergo a series of maturation changes as they venture into adulthood and all that it entails. Although Jane and Stephen are very different in terms of their lifestyle preferences, beliefs, customs and manners, many similarities can be drawn from the two concerning the hardships and adversities they are faced with as they grow up. Jane s uncle s dying wish was that his wife raise Jane. As a young child she was harassed by her cousin John Reed who would always be aided by his mom. • 54. The Problem Of Rapid Population Growth It took the beginning of time until 1804 to reach a world population of one billion people. Population statistics show that there were 1.6 billion people in 1900 and this figure reached 6 billion before the end of the 20th century. Over the past several decades, the world s population has been growing exponentially. According to the population statistics, this figure is going to ascend to more than 9 billion people by the end of 2050. Recent studies shows that the growth rate of population has somewhat steadied from the prior projections due to various things such as increased education, along with higher death rates due to the spread of numerous diseases. Despite these recent projections, the overall trend of rapid population growthremains, creating numerous challenges for engineers. The main concern for engineers is that this rapid increase in population, along with fast paced industrial growth, places a tremendous strain on land, energy, and water resources that are essential for human survival. These challenges for engineers will required them to use their talents in effort to improve these situations. One of the biggest concerns for engineers with the growing population is the tremendous strain on land. In many areas of the world, the land suited for food production is dwindling. This creates a major problem since there will be a high demand of food production with the growing population. Suitable land and mass food production are both necessary for human survival.
  • 55. Who Is Mr. Kurtz Dehumanize In Heart Of Darkness The horror, the horror were the chilling words that preceded the death of Mr. Kurtz (Conrad 105). With his last words, Mr. Kurtz came to realization of the darkness he had so long been a part of. He and the other pilgrims like him embodied the paradox of a civilized savage. Their honest efforts to humanize the natives they saw as wild beasts, quickly turned to a brutal and unjust treatment of them. As time went on their hearts became hardened and their actions grew worse. They themselves became less human then the people they had come to civilize. Their progressive downfall demonstrated that outside of social constraints there is nothing to stop men from yielding to the darkness of their hearts. Throughout the entire novel Joseph Conrad ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Kurtz is the personification of the darkness that all men have inside of themselves. He was a normal man with ambition and charisma until he realized that to succeed in the jungle he must become like a god to the natives. They adored him and because of their adoration and the lack of restrictions that were placed on him, he could do whatever he wanted to and nobody would stop him (84). There was nothing on earth to prevent him killing whom he jolly well pleased and so that is what he did. As time passed his seclusion from the civilized world grew, ...the wilderness... whispered to him things that about himself which he did not know, things of which he had no concept till he took counsel with this great solitude (87). It caused him to do things that the civilized Kurtz would not dream of doing. He became mad to the point of exhibiting the heads of native men that he killed on stakes outside of his home. Those heads showed that Mr. Kurtz lacked restraint in the gratification of his various lusts, that there was something wanting in him... that could not be found under his magnificent eloquence (87). Kurtz embodied what was at the heart of imperialism. Through his character, Conrad demonstrated that the result of progress outside of social restraint is madness and ultimately reveals a heart of utter
