Art Is An Important Part Of Education
What is art? Is it just painting or can it be a number of creations, such as, music, dancing, theater,
pictures, sculptures, poems, stories, or videos. When I think of art, I think of all of these different
creations listed as art. Art is anything that can inspire a person, or create feelings from looking,
touching, or hearing. The definition of art is the expression or application of human creative skill
and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be
appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power (google.com). Art is a way for humans to
communicate what they feel in their hearts. Although, some people may not agree that art is an
important part of educationwithout it education could have been lost today. In the past ten years
that I know of, art has slowly been fading away in the educational environment. This can be any
subject from: theater, dance, band, and even just art classes in general. Our education has slowly
started to only focus on core academic classes. While some people in our education system may
not perceive this as a true fact; there is evidence to support that art has declined in public
education. For theater and dance in elementary schools, the percentages of schools making these
art forms available went from 20 percent 10 years ago to only 4 and 3 percent, respectively, in the
2009 10 schoolyear. In addition, at more than 40 percent of secondary schools, coursework in the
art was not

Jeffery Dahmer Essay
Jeffery Dahmer is arguably the most notorious serial killer cannibal in history. Targeting men and
boys, Dahmer s life of crime began with drinking and sex offending. His murders were
exceptionally gruesome, often involving rape, torture, necrophilia, dismemberment, and
cannibalism. The media often commented on how normal Dahmer appeared. Jeffrey Dahmer
made everyone question how one develops into such a monster. By the time of his apprehension,
Dahmer had sodomized, murdered, and cannibalized at least seventeen men, mostly black,
Hispanic or Asian, in the Milwaukee area between the years of 1978 until his arrest in 1991
(Williams pg.1). Jeffrey Dahmer was born in Milwaukee on May 21, 1960, to Lionel and Joyce

His classmates considered him a loner and an alcoholic, who brought liquor into the classroom
(Bardsley Ch.14). At 15, Dahmer would scour the neighborhood, collecting the remains of
animals for his own private cemetery. A fascination with dead creatures was evident from a young
age (Bardsley Ch. 14). Also as a teen, Dahmer s parents ended their relationship by divorce. In the
fall of 1978, Dahmer entered Ohio State University, where he remained intoxicated for the majority
of the semester and inevitably flunked out. After ignoring an ultimatum from his father, Dahmer
refused to look for a job. His father then drove him to the recruiting office to join the Armed Forces
in January of 1979. Although he seemed to enjoy life in the Army, he was discharged early for
habitual drunkenness (Bardsley Ch.15). Not long after his dishonorable discharge, Dahmer was
sent to live with his grandmother where he got a job, but before long was arrested for drunkenness
and disorderly conduct. Soon, the offenses worsened as his alcoholism and emotional issues
intensified, including but not limited to indecent exposure, child molestation, and culminating with
his arrest for multiple murders in July of 1991. At the 1989 sentencing of Dahmer for child
molestation, his father, Lionel Dahmer stated, There was something missing in Jeff.... We call it a

Sociological Concepts In Disney Movie Pocahontas
Concepts in Sociology
There are five sociological concepts I am going to explain. And I will be using scenes from the
Disney movie Pocahontas as examples. The five are: norms, role conflict, values, ethnocentrism and
cultural relativism.
The first concept I would like to talk about is norms. Norms are different rules, whether they are
spoken or assumed, about which kinds of behaviors are acceptable in a culture and which ones aren
t acceptable. As an example I would like to use the Disney movie Pocahontas. A clear example of a
norm from this movie is the scene where Pocahontas has disobeyed her father by talking to the
white man (aka John Smith). Disobedience was something you did not do in her village. The
father was in charge of the family and the rest of the family was expected to listen. Another norm
for her culture was to take care of the village and everyone in it. Their culture wasn t all about
fun and adventure. They made sure their top priority was the life and ease of everyone in the
village. Norms can also change. There is a scene where the chief, Powhatan, tells the village that no

Values are beliefs that certain things are good and important which a group of people share.
Another way of saying this is a group s values are what the group thinks are important. For the
Indians in Pocahontas, the important things are the villages and the families. So they value
friendship and their homes. They also valued the land. The Indians believed in the land and
learned about it, not just used it. For them the important things were to take care of their families.
While the Governor of Virginia valued gold and power. The important thing for him was to get
lots of money so he could go back to England and be rich and powerful. It s the same thing in the
scene where Smith shows Pocahontas the piece of gold. She doesn t know what it is and doesn t
think that it is important. But for him, that is a very important part of

Blake Child Labor
The Romantic Period was a noteworthy era for eighteenth century London, mostly because it
yielded one of the most pivotal transformations in the country s history: The Industrial Revolution.
With the Industrial Revolution came advancements in science and technology, along with harm that
to the environment and the people in it. This is what inadvertently caused child labor to become
such an epidemic during this time period. Writers began to publish horror stories about children
who had been exploited in the manufacturing movement, and the harsh conditions they were forced
to endure (Salisbury 1). William Blake, now considered to be one of the most influential poets of
his time, was a romantic and social critic who sought to shed light on the... Show more content on

William Blake, being a write during the Romantic Period and experiencing industrialization first
hand, shared the same sentiment towards this issue. He verbalizes this emotion in The
Chimney Sweeper because he takes on a very melancholy tone towards the harsh working
conditions during this era. Blake describes children as being locked up in coffins of black ,
describing how they felt trapped in the soot and smoke of the factories (Blake 12). Industry left
no room for basic romantic ideals; the only thing people were focused on was manufacturing and
advancing themselves as well as their country in terms of science and technology. The romantics
also valued feelings and imagination, but this was also neglected because children who were
forced into child labor only ever had the chance to experience sorrow and pain. Blake highlights
this in his poem when the speaker does not comfort his friend, Tom, when his hair gets cut off, even
though he is clearly traumatized by the experience. The speaker did not know how to provide Tom
with the comfort he craved, because he was never taught the luxuries of empathy or sympathy.
Children, like the speaker, had their innocence ripped away from them due to the physical, mental,
and emotional hardships they endured from their distressing childhoods and industrial labor.

Similarities Between Langston Hughes And Emily Dickinson
The true meaning of human nature is revealed through man s response to adversity. Hardships
represent a sour lemonade on a warm summer day in terms of a constantly advancing race.
Agreeing with the ideas of the Roman poet Horace, adversity does not build character; it simply
reveals qualities that would not manifest sans difficulty. Adversity reveals one s true character in
response to unavoidable challenges that require endurance, expression, and skill. The choice to
continue an adventure regardless of the brick walls that seem overwhelming and unchanging is
surviving the battle against adversity. My great grandmother faced physical and mental struggles
throughout her life. She moved to America from Ireland with my great grandfather and was met
with great hostility. They lived a basic lifestyle on a ice man s pay until after WWI. The Great
Depression hit and times were hard for a large family of ten, but they survived. After my great

and Emily Dickinson know the pleasure that stems from professing in response to society. Theme

is deeply aware of how others perceive him and uses a simple assignment to provide some insight
about what being American should mean. Emily Dickinson, on the other hand, wrote a multitude of
poems focused on her isolation and position in society. She was an outcast, neglected by the whole
of her community, which resulted in many pent up conversations and ideas that she transcribed as
American poetry. Poetry, or any form of writing, is successful when relatable and rich with
emotion. The emotions in Hughes and Dickinson s work were results of repressed disdain for the

multiple ways to seamlessly fit quotes into sentences, such as informing the reader about how the

A Self Care Plan to Prevent Compassion Fatigue
A Plan For Self Care Against Compassion Fatigue

Introduction
Working in the helping field has its many joys and privileges. Seeing a child, whose self esteem is
at the bottom, light up when he/she accomplishes a new task, see the growth an alcohol and drug
addict has made in treatment, or to see the family, that when they entered the door of your office,

Another preventative step for the social worker is to seek out individual therapy for himself as a
manner in which to deal with the stressors associated with the helping profession. This has been
highly recommended by several instructors during my masters level education.
When I consider the risk factors discussed, I find that my weight and overall physical health are
most significant in placing me at risk of compassion fatigue. Failing to have a nutritious diet has
caused an increase in weight and multiple lower level health needs such as back pains and
headaches. When you factor this in with the stress of working a full time job and being a full time
student, it compounds the problem as eating tends to be my coping mechanism of choice. I also
have minimal intimate friendships due to lack of time to engage with others outside the workplace.
A lack of these intimate relationships fails to provide me an outlet to the stress that is outside my
family. Given the source of the stress is at work, confidentiality limits what I can and cannot say to
my wife.
With those risk factors, two protective factors that I see benefiting me is my spiritual support
system and sense of strong professional boundaries. My faith has pulled me through so much.
Having a solid foundation in my faith has allowed me to always return to what it is that I believe

Objectification In The Sandman
The Longing for Beauty
In his early 19th century narrative The Sandman, E.T.A. Hoffmann attempts to express the
possessiveness and obsessiveness of man that derives from appearance and sexuality. Hoffmann in
particular utilizes Klara and Olympia to exemplify Nathaniel s objectification of either of them and
his sub conscious ownership over both women. While Hoffmann degrades the standing of the
women in the narrative, he subsequently draws on an obsession with outward appearance and
beauty that is comparable to the Pygmalion myth. As Pygmalion attempts to have physical
possession over the beauty of his sculpture, Hoffmann similarly paints Nathaniel as irrationally
pursuing the possession or ownership of beauty through the female characters. Through the
symbolic objectification of the female characters and the obsessive sexualized actions of Nathaniel,
Hoffmann draws a parallel to the Pygmalion myth as beauty, grace, and sexuality become the
apparent paramount measure of value and also reveals the pitfalls created by such obsessions.
Throughout The Sandman, E.T.A. Hoffmann seeks to reveal the underlying references to the
Pygmalion myth by first portraying the female characters as subordinate, possessive objects that are
primarily defined by their beauty and are diminished to the standard of a piece of art. As the
narrative progresses, the emphasis on beauty begins to intensify and Hoffmann begins to direct the
illustration of the women through their outward appearance.

Essay on The Drug Enforcement Administration
Origin of the Agency
The Drug Enforcement Administration has a long history that marks its significance and
succession. Much had been going on during the late nineteen sixties and early seventies that shaped
the years between such as: the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., the Hippie movement, the
closing days of the Vietnam War, the disbandment of the Beatles, Woodstock, the first man on the
moon, and the beginning of the Watergate scandal (to name a few). President Richard Nixon took
office in 1968, a time which was prevalent for ending the war in Vietnam and the violence across
the United States due to anti war and race riots.

Nixon began to compose and organize new ideas in order to control and resolve the rapid increase
in drug use. In doing so, the Office of Drug Abuse Law Enforcement (ODALE) was created on
January 28th, 1972 which marked the beginning steps to creating the DEA ( Drug Enforcement
Administration 6). The main purpose in enacting ODALE was to effectively manage and decrease
the buying and selling of heroin on the streets. The success of ODALE aided in diminishing and
handling street drug dealers and prompted the establishment of the DEA.
An executive order titled, Reorganization Plan No. 2, which was created and signed by President
Richard Nixon in 1973 was a reorganization plan that merged the Drug Abuse Law Enforcement, the
Office of National Narcotics Intelligence, US customs, and other federal offices to create a single
federal agency under the Department of Justice ( Drug Enforcement Administration 13). The
Reorganization Plan No. 2 was heard and adopted by congress and put into action as the presently
known Drug Enforcement Administration.
The Nature of Agency s Work Role
There were many anticipated goals and benefits from the establishment of the DEA. The main
concern of Nixon when implementing the DEA was to alleviate drug use and violence that it
commenced but there were many more advantages to creating the DEA. Some of these advantages

Organizational Factors Associated With Collaboration...
The purpose of this submission is to recommend, with supporting rationale, an appropriate
methodology to address the research question (RQ): What does the research evidence suggest are
the organizational factors associated with collaboration within Fortune 500 firms? The reader will
first find the Background that discusses items that should be considered when determining the
appropriate systematic reviewmethodology, then there will be an analysis of the current question
using those considerations. The paper will end with a brief conclusion describing the findings.
Background
The systematic review approach chosen by those conducting a study is based on several
dimensions. These include the researcher s epistemology (Rousseau, Manning, Denyer, 2008, pp.
485 487), research study purpose (Gough, Oliver, Thomas, 2012, p. 58), primary research
question (Gough et al., 2012, p. 58; Harden Thomas, 2005, p. 266), purpose of the study (Gough
et al., 2012, p. 76) and the type of data available (Gough et al., 2012, p. 55). There is also the
consideration of the stakeholders and anticipated consumer of the report since culture and politics
can influence the use of the evidence that results from systematic reviews.
There are numerous specific systematic review methods described in the literature with each
method having a specific fit for purpose, appropriately considering the purpose of the reviews, the
types of questions to be answered, and evidence available for inclusion in

The Baseball Player Alex Rodriguez
In 2014 the famous baseball player Alex Rodriguez was suspended for the season due to testing
positive for using performance enhancing drugs. The Yankees star continuously denied any
allegations connecting him with the steroids but eventually claimed to be using products from a bio
anti aging clinic in order to treat an injury. According to an article written by Allen St. John, he has
tested positive for both Primobolan and excess testosterone(St. John, 2009). Eventually, Alex
confessed to using steroids to avoid any more persecution and in hope that it might save how
people viewed his career. Over the course of the situation Alex Rodriguezchose to handle the
situation in a manner he deemed would conceal the truth from everyone. This in turn may cause a
great deal of baseball fans to question his contribution to the sport as they further learn the details
about his extensive use of steroids over the course of recent history.
Student Insight
Alex Rodriguez has faced a lengthy amount of criticism primarily due to the way the situation
was handled. One of the ways he tried combatting the allegations was to deny it in front of the
public and criticize the MLB for trying to portray him as cheater. According to a CNN article
written by Ray Sanchez, Rodriguez claims he was the target of an MLB witch hunt (Sanchez,

Arguments Against Psychological Egoism
Daniel E. Webster Jr. Webster 1
Dr. Kathryn Broyles
Ethics 200
12 January 2018
Psychological egoism is the view that all persons, without exception, seek their own self interest. I
am going to argue against this and I will also be providing two reasons as to why I feel this way.
Pretty much every human action, its main cause is a selfish act. Even when acts are ethical on the
surface are pretty much motivated by selfishness. Psychological Egoism is a theory that rather than
suggesting, as ethical or rational egoism does, how people ought to live. It suggests how people
actually go about their lives. One of the

Military Animals and the History Behind Them
Meet Lex L479. Lex is a Belgian Malinois and is part of an extraordinary team. She lives, works,
and spends every hour of the day with her handler and best friend, Sergeant Mark Vierig.
Together, Vierig and Lex make a rare type of team. Their mission is to track down fleeing
insurgents and find those who plant IEDs, or improvised explosive devices. During February of
2011, Lex, Vierig, and a marine squad were returning back to base when they were fired upon by
three Taliban insurgents. The marines returned fire, and the insurgents fled into a nearby village.
Usually, it is easy for the insurgents to disappear and blend into a village; however, this would not
be the case today, because of Lex. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Canines were first used by Pharaoh Rameses II. Rameses II used war dogs, with spiked collars,
that raced ahead of his armies. By turning the gentle Mastiff into a fearless and vicious fighter, the
Romans were able to instill fear and terror into armies. They would wrap the massive canine in
spike covered armor and have it charge at full speed. Canines were used, not only for attack in this
manner, but also to warn of an impending attack and to send messages (Aiello and Bacon 17 18).
Elephants were used to terrorize and create mass destruction in enemy front lines. Though they
were difficult to train and control, many believed that the destruction caused by elephants was
worth the effort taken to train them. Animals were an important part of ancient warfare and their
use has continued until today.
Due to the invention and development of the engine, the use of horses in military and warfare has
been phased out of practice. In poorer, less developed nations, horses, as well as camels, continue
to be used for transportation, and in modern times, there are certain circumstances where military
forces will use mules or horses for transport. Some animals, that were extremely useful in the past,
have become unnecessary, due to the advancing times and technologies. One example is the carrier
pigeon, which was historically used to send, and receive, messages. In modern times, they

flip flounders, 64 DSP48E cuts, and 148 square RAMs with 36 Kb size. There are 32 worldwide
clock systems and the load up clock could accomplish 550 MHz clock speed, which completely
fulfills the framework necessities. Table 3.1 and Table 3.2 abridge the region results concerning
asset utilization, and the clock and timing results for the transmitter and recipient, separately. The

Starbucks’ Three Year Strategic Plan Essay
Section 1: Executive Summary Starbucks is the world s largest coffee roaster and retailer of
specialty coffee in the world. We have enjoyed great dividend returns over the past 5 years, and
our growth has been on the rise. We are currently saturating the US market, while the emerging
markets of developing countries offer many possibilities for growth and increased revenues. In our
US market we should look at offering more items on the menu that complement our long standing
tradition of pleasing our customers. Exotic Juices, and snacks served with the same service could
add a nice margin to the bottom line. In addition, the ability to offer a drive through service for the

Psychedelic Music, Its Origins, and Its Effects on Music...
Psychedelic Music, Its Origins and Its Effects on Music Today
Psychedelia in music has been around for a long time and has changed much of the popular
music of today. The dictionary definition of psychedelic is, of or noting a mental state
characterized by a profound sense of intensified sensory perception, sometimes accompanied by
severe perceptual distortion and hallucinations and by extreme feelings of either euphoria or
despair. It started in the 1960 s with the discovery of LSD and use of other psychedelic drugs.
Psychedelia did not only affect music, it affected people, cities, and the way people think. LSD,
which was the catalyst for psychedelic music, was discovered on April 16, 1943, by Albert

increasing in popularity, and peaked in the summer of 1967. Although it was now illegal, LSD
was still getting more and more popular (DeRogatis 6, 9, 10). Many psychedelic bands came from
San Francisco s Haight Ashbury district. The Grateful Dead was one of the most popular
psychedelic rock bands ever. Although they did not sell many records, they were very well
known for their live performances, and their music was often used as a soundtrack for LSD
parties. While the Bay area, and especially the Haight Ashbury, was good for producing great
bands, there was a downside as well. Other than the many people dying LSD related deaths,
many of the early bands were exploited by the record companies. The record companies wanted
to profit from the hippy movement, but they did not like their music. Some producers were paid
specifically to change a band s original sound into a more popular sound, such as that of The
Beatles. The Bay area was known for creating great bands, but more and more psychedelic bands

My first selection is the Rough Sea at a Jetty. The reason I chose this piece is because of the
colors and drawing techniques used, as well as the balance of the overall piece. The piece is a
dark hued painting (oil on canvas) made in the 1650s, depicting a very stormy sea with small
sailboats in the background. The foreground consists of two men standing on a jetty that has a
pole like wooden structure standing on it; the two men appear to be conversing, probably about
the storm. The painting is asymmetrical because if you cut it down the middle vertically then
one side would have the wooden pole, most of the jetty and the two men in it, while the other
side would have virtually nothing except some distant (almost obscure) sailboats, part of the jetty
and a distant smaller jetty. The painting is unified by its theme: A stormy sea by a jetty. The
waves are painted so as to show them crashing into one another by painting the caps white and
using bold curves to emphasize the choppiness of the sea. The dark clouds in the background are a
testament to the severity of the storm. The emphasis is on the jetty and men in the foreground.
There are also about four sailboats positioned across the piece in the background to contrast against
the dark grey sky and grey

portrayal of a man that has been alienated from society, not because he is unintelligent or dimwitted,
but rather because he is not restricted by the conventional ideals which are embedded within his

Society is more pleased living under the suppressions and misrepresentations of our culture, as
opposed to coping with the truth and what comes along with it. Forest Gump is a person that
many would label a contemporary holy fool which means that he possesses an extreme innocence
that enables him to do great things. His mental incapabilities have their obvious disadvantages, but
what is more worthy of discussion are the, not so obvious, advantages. His idealistic and
optimistic view of the world and his innocence blind him to the evil in people, and consequently;
he is able to find the best in each person he encounters. Robert Zemeckis directed the film in such a
way to emphasize the notion that simple is better which ties with his main theme of destiny.
Zemeckis also implies, through large contradictions in Gump s personality, that Gump s character is
an impossibility in real life.
Gump is able to surmount all of society s restrictions. Even when he was a little boy people were
trying to straighten him out with leg braces, but sure enough, he broke out of those. This pivotal
moment in the movie marks the beginning of an absolutely great and optimistic lifestyle. However,
Gump is not completely void of restrictions. He respects authority because of his mother, whom he
adored and loved very much. A little later in his life, Gump joined the army

Metaphors In Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken
The poem, The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost, is about a man walking in the woods, and he
comes upon a fork in the road. He is forced to choose on path. The speaker is not able to see
down the path. He chooses the path that seems to have been walked on before. At the end of the
poem, the speaker is reflecting on his decision. He regrets the path he took and says that in the
future he tell the story as if he took the path less taken. This poem is an extended metaphor. The
message of the poem is that in life someone must make choices in which he or she doesn t know
what will come of it. In the future he or she will look back on that choice and enjambment. Within
the poem, Robert Frost uses repetition and uses rhymescheme to enhance the poetry. These devices
help to illustrate the meaning of the poem that Robert Frost is trying to get across to the reader.
Furthermore, the man in the poem is walking in a yellow wood (line 1). The forest is a metaphor
for life. The speaker is walk through life and he comes to a fork in the road. The two paths are
two different choices the speaker can choose. He is not able to see where the path will go. The
woods where the paths continue is unknown. The paths had wore them really about the same . This
means that they pretty much look the same. This unknown rest of the path is the future that is
made after the speaker makes that choice. Once the speaker makes a choice, he may not be able to
go back. The speaker regrets his decision

On September 4th, 1957, Governor Faubus ordered the Arkansas National Guard to Little Rock
Central High school, preventing any of the Little Rock Nine from entering Central High.
Elizabeth Eckford was the only student that went to school on this day because of a lack of
communication with the other students. She arrived at the school alone and was antagonized
by the angry mob. At first she felt reassured when she saw the troops, whom she assumed were
there to protect her...When she tried to squeeze past a guard, He raised his bayonet, and then the
other guards moved in. One can only imagine what Eckford felt like, being completely alone in a
mob of people screaming Lynch her! , only to realize the people you thought were there to
protect you were actually not. The students finally were able to enter the school on September
23rd, 1957. But the fight was not over. The Little Rock Nine continued to face extreme
harassment, both physical and verbal. Melba Pattillo recounted many of these incidents in her
book, Warriors Don t Cry. One that stuck out the most was when she recounted going to
bathroom, the one place her guard could not join her, and having girls scratch and giggle outside
the door. She writes, I promised myself I would drink less water so I wouldn t have to take that
risk so often. Her stories of the vulgar language and the harassment when the guard was or wasn t
around, shows the extreme condition she faced trying to make a charge for her generation. She
compares her experience in Central High to being soldier, just trying to survive. Another factor that
created this environment for the Little Rock Nine was the lack of discipline of students by teachers.
Pattillo writes about how her friend Minnijean Brown had faith in school officials, faith that they
would step in. She continued to count on them to respond with compassion to

Analysis Of My Room Belongs To An Alien

My room belongs to an alien. (15)
This quote near the beginning of the book is in the context of Melinda describing her room. She
says this because of how it is decorated very strangely. The way she words her sentence implies
that she doesn t know who she was when she was younger, that she is alien . Because of this and
the fact she has no friends, she can t relate to anyone, not even her past self. This causes her to be
pushed deeper into her depression.
2) It looks like my mouth belongs to someone else, someone I don t even know. (17)
This quote relates to the last, but is different because insteading of talking about her past self, she
is talking about her present self. Because she is comparing herself to a stranger, this shows that she
is starting to lose control over her identity. This is important because without connections to anyone
else, or herself, she is starting to go into an all time low of her depression.
3) This has meaning. Pain. (65)
This quote appears when Mr.Freeman is inspecting Melinda s art. The artwork included a doll with
tape over it s mouth. This shows that other people can see that Melinda is in pain, but nobody
wants to do anything about it. The reason why this is important it shows that because Melinda is
alone, she is in pain.

Africa Shaped By Technology And Atmosphere Before The 1800s
Africa Shaped by Technology and Atmosphere Before the 1800s
Hieroglyphs can be considered one of the oldest forms of literature; Egyptians developed this
technology at around 4,000 BC. Reasons for creating hieroglyphs are art, and communication
(Mattessich). Parallel to that, farming was another type of technology that was being developed
along the north of Africa and the river Nile, by the upcoming kingdom of Africa. Nubia (modern
day Sudan) also gave rise to another kind of technology in term of agriculture, the cattle herding,
their location made it easy to feed animals because it was tropical and had lots of vegetation.
Hunter gathers were living since the beginnings of times, so this is not a new developed
technology but it is significant to say that the rest of Africa was occupied by them (Britton). By
1,500 BC the Egyptian empire was the leading power over Mesopotamia, Syrian and Canaan.
Around this time somewhere in north Africa, sub Saharan or the highlands of Ethiopia the
domestication of sorghum and millet occurred, giving a boost in the agricultural aspect and
helping societies being more settle (Zohary and Hopf), millet is thought to be brought from east
Asia through land, since it was it has been cultivated there since 8,000 BC years (Lu, Zhang and

Essay On The Impact Of 1968
THE IMPACT OF 1968
The world revolution of 1968 of course primarily concerned a series of major political issues: the
hegemony of the United States and its world policies, which had led it into the Vietnam war; the
relatively passive attitude of the Soviet Union, which the 1968 revolutionaries saw as collusion
with the United States; the inefficacy of the traditional Old Left movements in opposing the status
quo. In retrospect, 1968, the year of global revolt halfway between the end of World War II and the
end of the Cold War, looked like a failed revolution. Nonetheless, the impacts of 1968 formulated
ever gradually progressing definitions of today s world system.

Some of these student groups became a major part of the New Left, a broad based political

Differences Of Police Use Of Force
There are differences in attitudes towards the use of force by police. There are some groups that
support police and there use of force. There are also groups that find the use of force by police
excessive and biased. Carter and Corra (2016) studied white peoples opinions of police use of force
in association with their attitudes towards race. They found that ones opinions of race are related
with their opinions of policeuse of force. Racial resentment as measured by two criteria developed
by the researchers and three questions included negative affect and the belief that minorities are
lazy and lack motivation. If a participant had high racial resentment they were more likely to
support police use of force (Carter Corra, 2016). However, in a study conducted by Green, Eva,
Staerkle, and David in 2006 noted that support for use of force is also linked to political leanings
such as liberal or conservative. Furthermore an individuals views regarding financial and
economic issues also influences their beliefs about use of force (Green, Eva, Staerkle, David,
2006). These studies suggest that racial attitudes and political leanings can influence how an
individual views police use of force. Additionally, this could explain the differences in opinion
about police use of force.

Factors That Influence Human Resource Management
UNIT 7 RESEARCH PAPER
The Factors that Influence Worker Motivation that are Under Manager s Control
Why compliance with Human Resource law is an important part of doing Business?
Define Human Resource Management
PROBLEM
What are the Factors that Influence a Worker s Motivation that can be Controlled by the Manager.
ANSWER
There are factors that exist in a company that can be controlled by the manager that directly affect
the level of motivation of the employees either negatively or positively.
1. Four Factors of Motivation Brian Tracy
According to Brian Tracy, there are Four main factors that managers can do to motivate anyone, in
any organization.
Leadership style. This is a key factor in determining how people feel about the company and how
motivated they are. The appropriate leadership style depends on the goals and objectives of the
organization, the people within the company, and the external environment.
The Reward system. If you want more of something in an organization, simply increase greater
rewards for that behavior. If you want less of an activity in an organization, simply reduce the
rewards, or increase the punishment or disapproval for that behavior. People respond to incentives.
Organizational climate. Is your company a great place to work ? The organizational climate is
deliberately created and maintained by management. It largely consists of the way that people treat
each other up and down the line. It starts at the top, with leaders who inspire and set the tone for the
rest of the organization.
The structure of the work. Some work is inherently motivational, requiring creativity, imagination,
and high levels of energy. Work that involves communicating, negotiating, and interacting with
other people in order to gain their cooperation to get the job done quickly and well brings out the
best energies of the individual.
2. Servant Leadership Theory: Development of the Servant Leadership Assessment Instrument R.
Dennis, L. Kinzler Norheim M. Bocarnea

the property is lawfully allowed to be sold. If the title has lien, judgements, loans, or taxes due, the
final sale may not be approved.
An expert attorney will be able to determine if the title insurance has significant coverage for any
financial losses over the property.

Child Prostitution And Domestic Violence
This is supposed to be a free country. We the people are supposed to have the right to make
decisions in our own individual lives that will benefit our future. But in this country the government
puts so much restraint on an individual when they want an abortion, maybe an individual wants to
clone for personal reasons, use contraceptive, or die under their own will. Those choices are an
individual s own morality and should not be judged when living in a free country. What about Child
Prostitution or Domestic Violencethat are not individual choices? Why do those two phenomenon s
seem to be looked over and the court doesn t have a strong hand in developing a solution in such
resilient issues?
Child Prostitution is one of the most overlooked injustice for children. These poor kids live in a
country where the courts are more worried about individual rights instead of the well being of
children who have lost their innocence. The trade of human beings, most commonly for the
purpose of sexual slavery or forced labor is known as Human Trafficking. This type of trade for sex
is a very lucrative industry, coming second to drug trafficking as the most profitable illegal industry
in the world. When most Americans hear the words sex trafficking, they think Thailand, Africa, and
Eastern Europe. This systematical belief that the United States does not endure such behavior is a
communal afterthought and considered incredulous to many citizens. Nevertheless, prostitution is a

Art In Art, Art And The Art Of Art
Drawing is not an activity, but a piece of me that I could never let go of. Drawing has transformed
itself from a fun hobby into an essential form of expression. It has transformed the way I look at
things; nothing is mundane in art. A tree, for example, is a beautiful thing. Every single tree is
unique, with its own bark texture, its own arrangement of branches, and its own color. The limit
only gets pushed further when the tree inherits the personality of its artistic creator. Whenever I feel
emotionally connected to something, I generally have an impulse to draw it, which strengthens the
connection. Both the result and the process are rewarding; it is always possible to improve,
challenge, and discuss with other artists. There aren t always right ways to draw things, which
allows illustration to evolve throughout time. One room: a dancing lion, a painting cat, and a
programming dragon. A normal scene for those in the furry community, found at conventions
around the world. The furry community is a network comprised largely of artists and engineers, all
joined by their interest in artistic media and anthropomorphic animals. Fursuits, which are very
similar to mascot costumes, garner the most attention in public media; however, there are many
illustrators, writers, programmers, and musicians creating furry media. All of them are essential to
the continued existence of the community. Many furries have anthropomorphized characters based
on themselves called fursonas.

Ortega Gaona, CEO, founder, and Spain s richest man founded Zara in 1975. Zara s first store
was in A Caruna where the headquarters now lay and featured lower priced lookalikes of high
end, popular products selling to women, men, and children (Zara (Clothing) 2009). Beginning in
the nineteen eighties Zara began experimenting with differentiating the design, manufacturing and
distributing progression in order to condense lead times and respond faster to new trends. Gaona
considered this to be instant fashion. Instead of individuals, Zara used information technologies
and groups of designers to base its improvements in fashion. In 1998, the company began its
international development through Portugal s second city, Porto. By 1989 Zara entered the
United States and by 1990 entered France. Zara s international development expanded to Mexico
in 1992, Greece in 1993, and Belgium and Sweden in 1994. Zara continued to open stores around
the world until there were stores in seventy countries. This includes more than 519 stores in
Spain, 116 stores in France, 87 stores in Italy, and 45 stores in the USA (Zara: Cool Clothes Now,
Not Later). Zara Performance: Financials: Since Zara is a subsidiary of the parent company Inditex,

Sleepwalking In Macbeth
Sleep provides a sanctuary [BS]. Sleep provides peace of mind. Sleep provides sanity [Parallel].
Sleeping allows the mind a chance to rest and creates a bliss that one can only experience while he
rests. Although important, sleep negatively provides the chance for nightmares to creep into the
resting mind [Periodic]. In Shakespeare s Macbeth, the murderers Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
begin to lose sleep. Unable to bear the pain of both conscious fear and terror of the night, the
couple slowly edges towards insanity [Periodic]. Shakespeare uses his play Macbeth to show that
sleep for the guilty minded and fearful is torture. As the play begins to unfold, Lady Macbeth
encourages her husband to murder the king. They prepare the setting for the King s... Show more

Out of fear, she begs her gentlewoman to leave a candle at her bedside every night. One evening,
the concerned gentlewoman calls upon a doctor to observe Lady Macbeth and discover the
meaning behind her sleepwalking. That night as she comes out of her room carrying her candle
she begins revealing her treason. Foul whisp rings are abroad. Unnatural deeds / Do breed
unnatural troubles. Infected minds / To their deaf pillows will discharge their secrets. / More
needs she the divine than the physician. / God, God forgive us all! (V, ii, 67 71). Both the doctor
and the gentlewoman understand that the Macbeths killed King Duncan, but they vow to never
speak of the incident in fear of death [BCS]. The doctor understands the significance of washing
the blood off of her hands and the severity of her confessions while she sleeps. Sleep being her
most vulnerable state, Lady Macbeth reveals her treachery, bringing the doctor to the conclusion
that only God can save her. After realizing her fate Lady Macbeth decides that she would rather
commit suicide than face the consequences of her actions, because even in her sleep, in her mind,
she became unsafe for

A Comparison of The Book of the Family and The Selected...
During the Renaissance, many writers were authoring how to books. At the same time, mail
correspondence was the main form of communication. This gives readers and historians the golden
opportunity to perform some comparisons, and to paint a picture of what life was like in the
renaissance. In The Book of the FamilyLeon Battista Albertiillustrates to his readers through
dialogue, his vision of the perfect family. Alberti wrote his book in dialogue form, featuring the
elder Giannozzo conversing with the young Leonardo. They discuss important family topics such
as thrift, friendship, work, health, housing, economics, children and how and whom to choose as a
wife. Alberti stresses thrift with family resources and money, hard work in... Show more content on

In the question of whether Alberti s visions for a family translated into Alessandra s world the
facts are conflicting, and careful analysis will allow historians and readers to find areas where
they do and don t to reach their ultimate conclusion. Alberti s first topic is thrift. He explains a
system of spending that depends on need, value and honor in which the wise person spends
money where it is needed, on goods of value, and isn t miserly. Giannozzo tells Lionardo: With
every expenditure one must only be sure that the cost is no greater or heavier or larger than is
needed, yet no less than honor requires. Alessandra spends much of her time writing about
money matters. family. Her son in law Marco followed custom of honor in dressing his wife fits
this idea of honor. When he bought his wife clothing and adornments, he spent lavishly, he had a
garland of feathers and pearls made [for her] which cost eighty florins, the headdress underneath
has two strings of pearls costing sixty florins or more. When she goes out she ll have more than
four hundred florins on her back. For the daughter of a local ruling family and his wife, it was his
honor and duty to see her well dressed. This fits with Alberti s recommendation to keep my
household well dressed, each member in accordance with his situation. While this seems like an
inordinate amount of money, and wholly against all ideas of

How Did Louis Pasteur Contribute To Society
Between Marie Curie and Louis Pasteur I think that Louis Pasteur made more significant
contributions to society. I think this because he saved millions of lives with inventing a way to
pasteurize milk. He also found out how to cure rabies. If he hadn t made these contributions a lot
of people would have died. That is why I think Louis Pasteurmade great contributions to society.
The first reason I think Louis Pasteur made more significant contributions is beacause he invented
a way to pasteurize milk. If he hadn t we might still be drinking milk that could kill us. Making
milk safe from Tuberculosis saved millions of people who could have died. This was a big
contributions to society.
The next reason I believe Louis Pasteur made

Industrial Revolution and Social Changes
Introduction:
Between 1760 and 1860, technological progress, education, and an increasing capital stock
transformed England into the workshop of the world. The industrial revolution, as the
transformation came to be called, caused a sustained rise in real income per person in England and,
as its effects spread, the rest of the Western world. Historians agree that the industrial revolution
was one of the most important events in history, marking the rapid transition to the modern age, but
they disagree about various aspects of the event. Of all the disagreements, the oldest one is over
how the industrial revolution affected ordinary people, usually called the working classes. One
group, the pessimists, argues that the living standards of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Britain emerged from the Napoleonic Wars as the only European nation not ravaged by financial
plunder and economic collapse, and possessing the only merchant fleet of any useful size
(European merchant fleets having been destroyed during the war by the Royal navy Britain s
extensive exporting cottage industries also ensured markets were already available for many early
forms of manufactured goods. The conflict resulted in most British warfare being conducted
overseas, reducing the devastating effects of territorial conquest that affected much of Europe. This
was further aided by Britain s geographical position an island separated from the rest of mainland
Europe.
Another theory is that Britain was able to succeed in the Industrial Revolution due to the
availability of key resources it possessed. It had a dense population for its small geographical
size. Enclosure of common land and the related agricultural revolution made a supply of this
labour readily available. There was also a local coincidence of natural resources in the North of
England, the English Midlands, South Wales and the Scottish Lowlands. Local supplies of coal,
iron, lead, copper, tin, limestone and water power, resulted in excellent conditions for the
development and expansion of

  • 2. Art Is An Important Part Of Education What is art? Is it just painting or can it be a number of creations, such as, music, dancing, theater, pictures, sculptures, poems, stories, or videos. When I think of art, I think of all of these different creations listed as art. Art is anything that can inspire a person, or create feelings from looking, touching, or hearing. The definition of art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power (google.com). Art is a way for humans to communicate what they feel in their hearts. Although, some people may not agree that art is an important part of educationwithout it education could have been lost today. In the past ten years that I know of, art has slowly been fading away in the educational environment. This can be any subject from: theater, dance, band, and even just art classes in general. Our education has slowly started to only focus on core academic classes. While some people in our education system may not perceive this as a true fact; there is evidence to support that art has declined in public education. For theater and dance in elementary schools, the percentages of schools making these art forms available went from 20 percent 10 years ago to only 4 and 3 percent, respectively, in the 2009 10 schoolyear. In addition, at more than 40 percent of secondary schools, coursework in the art was not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Jeffery Dahmer Essay Jeffery Dahmer is arguably the most notorious serial killer cannibal in history. Targeting men and boys, Dahmer s life of crime began with drinking and sex offending. His murders were exceptionally gruesome, often involving rape, torture, necrophilia, dismemberment, and cannibalism. The media often commented on how normal Dahmer appeared. Jeffrey Dahmer made everyone question how one develops into such a monster. By the time of his apprehension, Dahmer had sodomized, murdered, and cannibalized at least seventeen men, mostly black, Hispanic or Asian, in the Milwaukee area between the years of 1978 until his arrest in 1991 (Williams pg.1). His classmates considered him a loner and an alcoholic, who brought liquor into the classroom (Bardsley Ch.14). At 15, Dahmer would scour the neighborhood, collecting the remains of animals for his own private cemetery. A fascination with dead creatures was evident from a young age (Bardsley Ch. 14). Also as a teen, Dahmer s parents ended their relationship by divorce. In the fall of 1978, Dahmer entered Ohio State University, where he remained intoxicated for the majority of the semester and inevitably flunked out. After ignoring an ultimatum from his father, Dahmer refused to look for a job. His father then drove him to the recruiting office to join the Armed Forces in January of 1979. Although he seemed to enjoy life in the Army, he was discharged early for habitual drunkenness (Bardsley Ch.15). Not long after his dishonorable discharge, Dahmer was sent to live with his grandmother where he got a job, but before long was arrested for drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Soon, the offenses worsened as his alcoholism and emotional issues intensified, including but not limited to indecent exposure, child molestation, and culminating with his arrest for multiple murders in July of 1991. At the 1989 sentencing of Dahmer for child molestation, his father, Lionel Dahmer stated, There was something missing in Jeff.... We call it a conscience ... that had either died or had never ... • 5. Sociological Concepts In Disney Movie Pocahontas Concepts in Sociology There are five sociological concepts I am going to explain. And I will be using scenes from the Disney movie Pocahontas as examples. The five are: norms, role conflict, values, ethnocentrism and cultural relativism. The first concept I would like to talk about is norms. Norms are different rules, whether they are spoken or assumed, about which kinds of behaviors are acceptable in a culture and which ones aren t acceptable. As an example I would like to use the Disney movie Pocahontas. A clear example of a norm from this movie is the scene where Pocahontas has disobeyed her father by talking to the white man (aka John Smith). Disobedience was something you did not do in her village. The father was in charge of the family and the rest of the family was expected to listen. Another norm for her culture was to take care of the village and everyone in it. Their culture wasn t all about fun and adventure. They made sure their top priority was the life and ease of everyone in the village. Norms can also change. There is a scene where the chief, Powhatan, tells the village that no one is allowed ... For them the important things were to take care of their families. While the Governor of Virginia valued gold and power. The important thing for him was to get lots of money so he could go back to England and be rich and powerful. It s the same thing in the scene where Smith shows Pocahontas the piece of gold. Blake Child Labor The Romantic Period was a noteworthy era for eighteenth century London, mostly because it yielded one of the most pivotal transformations in the country s history: The Industrial Revolution. With the Industrial Revolution came advancements in science and technology, along with harm that to the environment and the people in it. This is what inadvertently caused child labor to become such an epidemic during this time period. Writers began to publish horror stories about children who had been exploited in the manufacturing movement, and the harsh conditions they were forced to endure (Salisbury 1). William Blake, being a write during the Romantic Period and experiencing industrialization first hand, shared the same sentiment towards this issue. He verbalizes this emotion in The Chimney Sweeper because he takes on a very melancholy tone towards the harsh working conditions during this era. Blake describes children as being locked up in coffins of black , describing how they felt trapped in the soot and smoke of the factories (Blake 12). Industry left no room for basic romantic ideals; the only thing people were focused on was manufacturing and advancing themselves as well as their country in terms of science and technology. The romantics also valued feelings and imagination, but this was also neglected because children who were forced into child labor only ever had the chance to experience sorrow and pain. Blake highlights this in his poem when the speaker does not comfort his friend, Tom, when his hair gets cut off, even though he is clearly traumatized by the experience. The speaker did not know how to provide Tom with the comfort he craved, because he was never taught the luxuries of empathy or sympathy. Children, like the speaker, had their innocence ripped away from them due to the physical, mental, and emotional hardships they endured from their distressing childhoods and industrial labor. ... • 10. Similarities Between Langston Hughes And Emily Dickinson The true meaning of human nature is revealed through man s response to adversity. Hardships represent a sour lemonade on a warm summer day in terms of a constantly advancing race. Agreeing with the ideas of the Roman poet Horace, adversity does not build character; it simply reveals qualities that would not manifest sans difficulty. Adversity reveals one s true character in response to unavoidable challenges that require endurance, expression, and skill. The choice to continue an adventure regardless of the brick walls that seem overwhelming and unchanging is surviving the battle against adversity. Failing to have a nutritious diet has caused an increase in weight and multiple lower level health needs such as back pains and headaches. • 18. Objectification In The Sandman The Longing for Beauty In his early 19th century narrative The Sandman, E.T.A. Hoffmann attempts to express the possessiveness and obsessiveness of man that derives from appearance and sexuality. Hoffmann in particular utilizes Klara and Olympia to exemplify Nathaniel s objectification of either of them and his sub conscious ownership over both women. While Hoffmann degrades the standing of the women in the narrative, he subsequently draws on an obsession with outward appearance and beauty that is comparable to the Pygmalion myth. As Pygmalion attempts to have physical possession over the beauty of his sculpture, Hoffmann similarly paints Nathaniel as irrationally pursuing the possession or ownership of beauty through the female characters. Through the symbolic objectification of the female characters and the obsessive sexualized actions of Nathaniel, Hoffmann draws a parallel to the Pygmalion myth as beauty, grace, and sexuality become the apparent paramount measure of value and also reveals the pitfalls created by such obsessions. Throughout The Sandman, E.T.A. Hoffmann seeks to reveal the underlying references to the Pygmalion myth by first portraying the female characters as subordinate, possessive objects that are primarily defined by their beauty and are diminished to the standard of a piece of art. As the narrative progresses, the emphasis on beauty begins to intensify and Hoffmann begins to direct the illustration of the women through their outward appearance. ... These include the researcher s epistemology (Rousseau, Manning, Denyer, 2008, pp. 485 487), research study purpose (Gough, Oliver, Thomas, 2012, p. 58), primary research question (Gough et al., 2012, p. 58; Harden Thomas, 2005, p. 266), purpose of the study (Gough et al., 2012, p. 76) and the type of data available (Gough et al., 2012, p. 55). There is also the consideration of the stakeholders and anticipated consumer of the report since culture and politics can influence the use of the evidence that results from systematic reviews. There are numerous specific systematic review methods described in the literature with each method having a specific fit for purpose, appropriately considering the purpose of the reviews, the types of questions to be answered, and evidence available for inclusion in ... • 21. The Baseball Player Alex Rodriguez In 2014 the famous baseball player Alex Rodriguez was suspended for the season due to testing positive for using performance enhancing drugs. The Yankees star continuously denied any allegations connecting him with the steroids but eventually claimed to be using products from a bio anti aging clinic in order to treat an injury. According to an article written by Allen St. John, he has tested positive for both Primobolan and excess testosterone(St. John, 2009). Eventually, Alex confessed to using steroids to avoid any more persecution and in hope that it might save how people viewed his career. Over the course of the situation Alex Rodriguezchose to handle the situation in a manner he deemed would conceal the truth from everyone. This in turn may cause a great deal of baseball fans to question his contribution to the sport as they further learn the details about his extensive use of steroids over the course of recent history. Student Insight Alex Rodriguez has faced a lengthy amount of criticism primarily due to the way the situation was handled. One of the ways he tried combatting the allegations was to deny it in front of the public and criticize the MLB for trying to portray him as cheater. According to a CNN article written by Ray Sanchez, Rodriguez claims he was the target of an MLB witch hunt (Sanchez, 2014). He consistently stood by this position making him look like a victim of career sabotage. This was a poor way of dealing with the allegations because once he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Even when acts are ethical on the surface are pretty much motivated by selfishness. Canines were first used by Pharaoh Rameses II. Rameses II used war dogs, with spiked collars, that raced ahead of his armies. By turning the gentle Mastiff into a fearless and vicious fighter, the Romans were able to instill fear and terror into armies. They would wrap the massive canine in spike covered armor and have it charge at full speed. Canines were used, not only for attack in this manner, but also to warn of an impending attack and to send messages (Aiello and Bacon 17 18). Elephants were used to terrorize and create mass destruction in enemy front lines. Though they were difficult to train and control, many believed that the destruction caused by elephants was worth the effort taken to train them. Animals were an important part of ancient warfare and their use has continued until today. Due to the invention and development of the engine, the use of horses in military and warfare has been phased out of practice. In poorer, less developed nations, horses, as well as camels, continue to be used for transportation, and in modern times, there are certain circumstances where military forces will use mules or horses for transport. While the Bay area, and especially the Haight Ashbury, was good for producing great bands, there was a downside as well. Other than the many people dying LSD related deaths, many of the early bands were exploited by the record companies. The piece is a dark hued painting (oil on canvas) made in the 1650s, depicting a very stormy sea with small sailboats in the background. The foreground consists of two men standing on a jetty that has a pole like wooden structure standing on it; the two men appear to be conversing, probably about the storm. The painting is asymmetrical because if you cut it down the middle vertically then one side would have the wooden pole, most of the jetty and the two men in it, while the other side would have virtually nothing except some distant (almost obscure) sailboats, part of the jetty and a distant smaller jetty. The painting is unified by its theme: A stormy sea by a jetty. The waves are painted so as to show them crashing into one another by painting the caps white and using bold curves to emphasize the choppiness of the sea. The dark clouds in the background are a testament to the severity of the storm. The emphasis is on the jetty and men in the foreground. Africa Shaped By Technology And Atmosphere Before The 1800s Africa Shaped by Technology and Atmosphere Before the 1800s Hieroglyphs can be considered one of the oldest forms of literature; Egyptians developed this technology at around 4,000 BC. Reasons for creating hieroglyphs are art, and communication (Mattessich). Parallel to that, farming was another type of technology that was being developed along the north of Africa and the river Nile, by the upcoming kingdom of Africa. Nubia (modern day Sudan) also gave rise to another kind of technology in term of agriculture, the cattle herding, their location made it easy to feed animals because it was tropical and had lots of vegetation. Hunter gathers were living since the beginnings of times, so this is not a new developed technology but it is significant to say that the rest of Africa was occupied by them (Britton). By 1,500 BC the Egyptian empire was the leading power over Mesopotamia, Syrian and Canaan. There are also groups that find the use of force by police excessive and biased. Carter and Corra (2016) studied white peoples opinions of police use of force in association with their attitudes towards race. They found that ones opinions of race are related with their opinions of policeuse of force. Racial resentment as measured by two criteria developed by the researchers and three questions included negative affect and the belief that minorities are lazy and lack motivation. If a participant had high racial resentment they were more likely to support police use of force (Carter Corra, 2016). However, in a study conducted by Green, Eva, Staerkle, and David in 2006 noted that support for use of force is also linked to political leanings such as liberal or conservative. Furthermore an individuals views regarding financial and economic issues also influences their beliefs about use of force (Green, Eva, Staerkle, David, 2006). We the people are supposed to have the right to make decisions in our own individual lives that will benefit our future. But in this country the government puts so much restraint on an individual when they want an abortion, maybe an individual wants to clone for personal reasons, use contraceptive, or die under their own will. • 42. Art In Art, Art And The Art Of Art Drawing is not an activity, but a piece of me that I could never let go of. Drawing has transformed itself from a fun hobby into an essential form of expression. It has transformed the way I look at things; nothing is mundane in art. A tree, for example, is a beautiful thing. Every single tree is unique, with its own bark texture, its own arrangement of branches, and its own color. The limit only gets pushed further when the tree inherits the personality of its artistic creator. Whenever I feel emotionally connected to something, I generally have an impulse to draw it, which strengthens the connection. Both the result and the process are rewarding; it is always possible to improve, challenge, and discuss with other artists. There aren t always right ways to draw things, which allows illustration to evolve throughout time. One room: a dancing lion, a painting cat, and a programming dragon. A normal scene for those in the furry community, found at conventions around the world. The furry community is a network comprised largely of artists and engineers, all joined by their interest in artistic media and anthropomorphic animals. Fursuits, which are very similar to mascot costumes, garner the most attention in public media; however, there are many illustrators, writers, programmers, and musicians creating furry media. All of them are essential to the continued existence of the community. Many furries have anthropomorphized characters based on themselves called fursonas. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 48. Industrial Revolution and Social Changes Introduction: Between 1760 and 1860, technological progress, education, and an increasing capital stock transformed England into the workshop of the world. The industrial revolution, as the transformation came to be called, caused a sustained rise in real income per person in England and, as its effects spread, the rest of the Western world. Historians agree that the industrial revolution was one of the most important events in history, marking the rapid transition to the modern age, but they disagree about various aspects of the event. Of all the disagreements, the oldest one is over how the industrial revolution affected ordinary people, usually called the working classes. One group, the pessimists, argues that the living standards of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Britain emerged from the Napoleonic Wars as the only European nation not ravaged by financial plunder and economic collapse, and possessing the only merchant fleet of any useful size (European merchant fleets having been destroyed during the war by the Royal navy Britain s extensive exporting cottage industries also ensured markets were already available for many early forms of manufactured goods. The conflict resulted in most British warfare being conducted overseas, reducing the devastating effects of territorial conquest that affected much of Europe. This was further aided by Britain s geographical position an island separated from the rest of mainland Europe. Another theory is that Britain was able to succeed in the Industrial Revolution due to the availability of key resources it possessed. It had a dense population for its small geographical size. Enclosure of common land and the related agricultural revolution made a supply of this labour readily available. There was also a local coincidence of natural resources in the North of England, the English Midlands, South Wales and the Scottish Lowlands. Local supplies of coal, iron, lead, copper, tin, limestone and water power, resulted in excellent conditions for the development and expansion of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
