Insanity of Blanche Dubois
Insanity of Blanche Dubois The movie A Streetcar Named Desire contains many elements of insanity.
The character that displays the most tragic insanity is Blanche Dubois. Blanche is from Laurel,
Mississippi were she loses her home Belle Reve, after the death of her relatives. She then travels to
her sister s home where her actions lead her to insanity. She goes to her sister home as a fallen woman
of society. She has a difficult time distinguishing between what is real and what is fantasy. Blanche
Dubois is a complex individual who provokes strong reactions from other characters. The main factors
are her lying, drinking and infatuations with men. Unfortunately, these actions drive her to the final
breaking point and lead her to an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

lashing out in sexual ways, and living in her out own fantasies. She has no concern for anyone s well
being, including her own. Thus, this is her utter most harmful demise. She has no realistic outlook for
the future.
In the end, Blanche Dubois is a tragic character. She works so hard to portray herself as a young

illusion and complexities with in her soul. Her life crumbles from her own self destruction. By the end
she is able to release her true self through all the lies, drinking and infatuation with men. Her struggle

Save The Whales Vs Save The Makah
The topic of whale conservation and the Makah people s economy is not something that some
audiences would jump at reading nor is it an easy topic to research and discuss in a formal paper. The
techniques and strategies that authors use to write a paper that is worthy of a person s time differ from
author to author but the main core of a paper is similar in most aspects. When it comes to researching
the Makah economy a person must do so in a way that is purposeful and targeted at a specific
audience; the three articles I read do just that. With a similar purpose of sharing economic and legal
issues that the Makah people face, to an audience of professionals in a similar field, these three articles
are able to raise similar questions about the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Michael Marker s article was biased towards the Native American way of life and the article depicted
the media and education system is a negative light. For example the article told a story about a boy
whose mother came into his classroom to talk about Native American whaling and culture but the
parents got angry with her saying that she was promoting a religion. The principle of the school had to
apologize to the families and promise an event like it would never occur again. This story showed the
negative side of education and sharing culture and the author did not depict both sides or give an
explanation he simply said that the parents were wrong.
Despite the bias that exists in the article After the Makah Whale Hunt the article still addresses
economic issues and is thus still similar to the other articles. Michael Marker s article still talked about
how whale conservation changed the Makah s economy just as the other two articles did. The article
still talked about the legal implications of the governments, and publics, action, to speak for the
Makah people. Marker s article simply used a different approach where he talked about the people
while the other articles talked more about the numerical and legal

Hardness And What Impact Does It Have On Water Quality
1. What is hardness and what impact does it have on water quality?
Hardness is the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium in the water. Hardness impacts on water
quality throughout the aesthetic acceptability by consumers (meaning the concentration of the calcium
and magnesium and other dissolved solids are measureable by the consumers). In addition to,
economic and operational considerations (which is controllable throughout the treatment or blending
in public drinking water), hard water tends to leave scale deposition in the water distribution system,
as well as in heated water applications. (Hardness in Drinking water, 2011).
2. What water quality standards are associated with water hardness?
There is no Primary or Secondary standard for water hardness by EPA. Also hardness has no health
risk. As the hardness of water is classified: 0 to 60 mg/ as calcium carbonate is classified as soft; 61 to
120 mg/L as moderately hard; 121 to 180 mg/L as hard; and more than 180 mg/L as very hard. (Water
quality criteria. (n.d.).
3. Briefly describe your understanding about pH and why is pH important in water treatment. Give
two examples. pH is a measure of the hydrogen ion activity in the water and is determined by the
relative number of the hydrogen ions for acidity and hydroxide ion for alkalinity, thus mathematically
expressed as pH= log [H+] where [H+] is the hydrogen ion activity . pH values are calculated in
powers of 10.Thus, the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution

Senate Case Study
Nevertheless, when H.R 5175 made it to the Senate under the title of S.3628 the journey to its passage
would be far more complicated. This complication is due to the Senate s institutional design that
protects the minority party in the Senate. During the 111th Senate, Democrats also controlled this
chamber with 57 Democrats, 2 independents who caucused with Democrats and 41 Republicans. This
majority allowed democrats to take introduce their bill in the Senate, and move to proceed all within
the same day. That said, while the Democrats may have the majority in the Senate they do not have
nearly as much power as a majority party in the House. Individual senators have for more power than

Sponsor of the bill Senator Charles Schumer, along with fellow Democrats took this time to speak in
favor of the bill, and their discontent with the Court s ruling in Citizens United. Meanwhile Senator
Roberts (R KS) claimed that this bill was an infringement on the first amendment, and that the ruling
in Citizens united was just a way of protecting citizens first amendment right. Unlike in the House,
there was no limit to this debate by a rules committee and instead required what is known as cloture to
end the debate. A cloture petition is the only way to end debate in the Senate, and it requires at
minimum two thirds support or 60 signatures from Senators to be considered valid(Sinclair 79). This
two thirds requirement is considered a super majority and has proven to be quite difficult to obtain. A
cloture petition is the counter to the filibuster, a tool given to members of the minority party to give
them strength within the congressional body. Through a filibuster a member of the minority may
extend debate to the point that a bill never has the chance to be voted on, ultimately killing the it
(Sinclair 80). The necessity of a supermajority in order to take away this power of the minority once
again attest the protection of the minority party within the Senate. After some debate a cloture motion
was filed in hopes to end debate on the bill. That said, while Democrats were a majority in the Senate
they were not a supermajority, meaning

The Three Teens In Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet
Anyone who watches the film Rebel Without a Cause and has knowledge of Shakespeare, can see that
there is Romeo and Juliet written all over Jim and Judy s relationship. Though the film shows the two
lovers a majority of the time there are bigger issues at hand. The theme throughout the film is the three
teenagers, Jim, Judy, and Plato, embarking on a journey for parental guidance and support. The three
teens have all the same problems in common, but one of them has more issues internally. Plato, or
Sam Crawford, is the most troubled out of the three. He is the one who is facing the problems of not
having his mom or dad by his side, irrational behavior, and dealing with his sexuality. Many teens at

housemaid quickly takes the motherly role of Plato. The only attention Plato receives from his father
is a monthly child support check, and even then it doesn t help cope with the emptiness Plato feels. We

Controversy Regarding Cannabis-Related Legislations in Canada
There is presently much controversy regarding Cannabis related legislations in Canada, as while there
is a great deal of individuals supporting conditions in the present, there are also numerous people who
are against contemporary laws. It is presently illegal to grow cannabis plants in Canada, but the
authorities allow cannabis to be consumed for medical purposes. Many people in Canada believe that
cannabis should be legalized in the country, with some of the most recent polls pointing toward the
belief that the majority of individuals in the country consider that the substance should not be illegal.
Although it would be difficult to assess the effects that legalizing cannabis would have, it is only safe
to assume that the government should express more tolerance concerning the substance, considering
that more than half of Canada s population has expressed its support in regard to the drug.
Individuals who consume cannabis for recreational purposes are certain that the fact that this
substance is included in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as illegal is proof that the authorities
directly discriminate them on account of their substance orientation.
Canada has a history in debating the use of cannabis and the circumstances when it can be beneficial
for the consumer and for society as a whole. The Canadian federal government encourages protection
for ill Canadians with degenerative health diseases (Jacob 2009, 210). The federal government

ABSTRACT: A Service Oriented Architecture is essentially a collection of services. These services
communicate with each other. The communication can involve either simple data passing or it could
involve two or more services coordinating some activity.
INTRODUCTION:
Service oriented architectures are not a new thing. The first oriented architectures for many people in
the past with the use DCOM or Object Request Brokers (ORDBs) based on the CORBA specification.

Service autonomy is the term used to describe a service which is sel sufficient in terms of managing
all the necessary logic, resources and environment and which is independent of external devices.
 Business Driven Infrastructure on demand
Using service orientation for the infrastructure provides a way to define dependencies of higher level
business services on the lower level infrastructure services, dow to the actual physical resources, such
as network appliances, storage, and servers.
 Service Management
Service orientation defines service level objectives as well as the measurement of the delivery of those
objectives.
CONCLUSION: Service Oriented Architectures are rapidly being accepted by the IT world as a
sound, modularized approach for building and deploying services across the extended enterprise.
Practical extension of these architectures requires careful planning. The SOA is mainly implemented
with web services. In this paper I have tried to explain the so many things about service oriented
architecture I and I think this paper will help to other for further study in the service oriented
architecture.

The Healthcare Industry of America; An investigative look...
The Healthcare Industry of America: An investigative look at HMO s
It s no secret that Health Maintenance Organizations, known as HMO s, have made healthcare
affordable for many Americans, but at what risks? Most employers offer some type of health care plan
that is an HMO. Let s face it, given the choice among insurance coverage through your employer, in
which he pays half the costs, or acquiring private insurance coverage outside your employer, most
Americans choose to go with employer provided HMO s. Why then, has there been so much
controversy with HMO s?
An HMO is an organization whereby the subscriber, or patient, is allowed to choose a medical
provider from a list of doctors within a certain medical group. Each physician ... Show more content

This process could take weeks due to cumbersome paperwork and the limited number of specialist per
each group or health plan. Again, many doctors only accept these plans to supplement their practices.
It is common for them to stop accepting your HMO after only a few years which leaves the patient a
choice of either paying cash, or changing doctors or insurance companies. One can see why this might
be a frustrating process.
Managed care reduces cost by keeping a pool of doctors and specialist to a minimum, and at the same
time keeping the volume of patients high. This often means that a patient may not receive the same
amount of attention and care as they should, or were accustomed to. Consumers have long grumbled
that HMO s have done too much too keep health costs down by stinting on patient care.(1).
Healthcare expenditures have more than doubled since 1965. Americans spend over a trillion dollars a
year on health care. (2). As of 1996, 110 million Americans were enrolled in HMO s. More than three
fourths of all individuals in HMO s are covered by job based insurance. More than 13 million
Medicaid recipients have been put into managed care plans. Managed care and HMO s have been the
subject of many negative stories in the press and are constantly being charged with endangering the
health and lives of their enrollees. As a result, congressional hearing, state, and federal regulation, and

Europe s Influence On Western Europe
Western Europe is a term that was used to describe a region where many countries, such as Britain,
France and Germany, which joined after World Wars, shared the same history. In another perspective,
it was also sometimes referring to a region where countries shared the same value: capitalism and
democracy. Throughout the history, because of difference events, the position of Western Europe in
the world has also changed. Before 1914, due to the rapid development of the Enlightenment ideas
and the industrialization in Britain and France, the world major powers centrally seated in Western
Europe. However, as the Western European countries suffered huge losses from two World Wars,
Western Europe has actually steadily marched East since the Great War. Moreover, as many new
immigrants from the former colonized regions joined Western European countries, Western Europe
also gained its economic and political cohesion as most countries became part of NATO and then the
European Union. In the present days, while the idea of Western Europe has expanded to more
countries, it became dominant in its continent and could be considered as a savior to many other
nations.
Prior to the 1914, many of the world great powers, such as Britain and France were centrally seated in
Western Europe. In the 18th century, Britain and France soon developed rapidly due to the birth of the
Enlightenment idea, which challenged the tradition and put more emphasis on the reasons (Hunt et al.

Financial Advice Essay
In the early 1980s, there was an economic downturn in Australia, to find out the cause of this event,
the Australian government has established a financial system survey in the year 1996. This survey was
conducted by a businessman named Stan Wallis. He published his investigation report in 1997, titled
the final report of the deregulation of financial services; it commonly referred to as the Wallis Report .
Wallis found that the most suitable structure for Australia will then include two regulators: one who is
responsible for prudential regulation of any entity that needs to be cautiously supervised; another one
is the market and management of any financial products that are provided to the Australian consumers.

The battle of troy started when Paris (Trojan prince) kidnapped Helen (queen of Sparta). The battle
was basically about getting back Helen so they could kill her for betrayal. They would not give her
back and so the battle would rage for 10 years with a lot of death. The battle with Hector and Achilles
was kind of funny because when Achilles called out Hector and they fought they fought for their
respective countries with the winner claiming victory for their side. This was done to save the lives of
many. Achilles was invincible and killed hector easily. He then dragged his dead body around the

The Ideal Household By Xenophon
The purpose of The Ideal Household as told by Xenophon, a student of Socrates, was to show the
reader how an elite Athenian lady lived as well as to show what an ideal marriage looked like.
Xenophon wanted to convey to the readers what he thought an ideal marriage looked like and also
what he generally thought most marriages in Athens were. The overall message of this source is not
explicit in nature, but does offer a subtle yet firm message on how women in Athens were expected to
behave. Wives of elite men were often expected to fully run the household while dedicating their lives
to their husbands and family. The work the women put into their family and households was a full
time job that was usually never noticed or acknowledged outside of the household. Xenophon
conveyed his message of what he thought an ideal marriage and household was by asking an Athenian
gentleman questions about his marriage and life. The man offered insight into his and his wife s life
and he spoke about how he lived a relaxed life while his wife attended to most if not all the household
duties. Xenophon seemed worried about what this man actually did with his life and the man replied
that he does not spend my days indoors, if for no other reason than because my wife can manage all
our domestic affairs without my aid. . ( ) The man made it very clear that he has in a way trained his
wife to run their household while he does whatever he pleases. Xenophon was very interested by this

The Discovery Of A New Science
The Discovery of a New Science
A Brief History
Physiology has piqued human curiosity for thousands of years. In the early centuries, examination and
dissection of the human body was a taboo practice and consequently became mired due to ethical or
religious concerns. Scientist had no choice but to undertake inconceivable acts, such as grave robbery
in the name of learning and educating. They carried out dissections in secrecy. Human physical and
mental health practices have greatly benefitted because of the discoveries made by these scientists
acts, once considered immoral.
The history of physiological psychology spans throughout centuries. Its origins are traceable back to
times before Christ. Several instances set the framework, which facilitated the development and
growth of physiology as one of the numerous subdivisions of psychology. There are three important
periods and several people that established this field. Contributors include Avicenna (980 1037B.C.),
Rene Descartes during the renaissance and several key contributors during the eighteenth and
nineteenth centuries. The breakthroughs in these periods developed a new science and led the way to
the creation of other related subdivisions of psychology. Physiological psychology is one among
several subdivisions of biological psychology. This branch of psychology is concerned with the
response of normal and pathological processes of the central nervous system (CNS). Physiological
psychology mainly

so dominant in England, the Irish Catholics received very poor treatment from the Protestants in
England causing things like the Irish Potato Famine and the Bloody Sunday and Bloody Friday
massacres. However, the Irish people were by no means silent under this oppression, leading to many

The Irish English combat was one of the bloodiest religious wars of all time and led to many deaths.
To make things worse, all of these battles stemmed from a few different beliefs on how to worship the
same God. This led to England ignoring the Irish when they were in trouble and killing them when
they fought back. However, all of this acrimony is not distinct to Victorian England; rather, religious
hostility is a common occurrence that extends its reaches into the modern world and always leads to
war torn areas of the world like the Middle East. England s relationship with Ireland shows a prevalent
historical theme of how religious nationalism leads to conflicts that always draw

Disadvantages Faced By Aboriginal People
Introduction:
Smoking rates have halved in Australians over the past 30 years, falling below 16%. Except for in
Indigenous populations, smoking rates have remained at more than twice this level, with even higher
rates reported in remote communities (RACGP, 2013) The inequality that has been faced by
Indigenous people is still at an unacceptable level, and has been identified as a human rights concern
by the United Nations (Dick, 2007). Smoking is a major issue because, it is the most preventable
contributor to the gap in life expectancy between Indigenous and non Indigenous peoples (Ivers,
2011). Smoking contributes to 17% of the life expectancy gap (Australian Government: Department
for Health and Welfare, 2011). The socio economic disadvantage faced by Indigenous people leads to
the addiction of tobacco, which can be caused by many factors including; their position on the social
gradient, education, social exclusion, their employment status and their social support. There is a lack
of developed personal skills on the health risks of tobacco, some Aboriginals don t identify smoking as
a health issue (Korff, 2014), due to the history of Aboriginal people around smoking. As well as first
hand smoke, passive smoking also contributes to poor health, especially for children. Smoking is the
major cause for heart disease, stroke, some cancers, lung diseases and a variety of other conditions
(HealthInfoNet.ecu.edu.au, 2013). If we could reduce tobacco consumption levels

Advantages Of Political Dynasty In The Philippines
An Argumentative Essay About a Phillipine or Local Issue
Topic: Political Dynasty
Despite not being an economically rich state, Philippines is known for having people who deeply
value their family members. Family oriented Filipinos give importance to even to their most distant
relatives as long as they have the same blood running through their veins. In this practice also,
Filipinos tend to seek advices from the elders of the family before making a huge decision. Thus,
decisions are made not by one for himself but by a group for the entirety of the family. (Agoncillo,
2012, p.6)

This statement did not just come from us but from the research and survey we have conducted.
Political dynasty has already been long present in the political structure of the Philippines. It can be
manifested when a family member runs, and most often than not, wins the election and his position is
soon succeeded by one of his family members as well. This cycle goes on and on and the scope of the
family s territory becomes wider and wider every election for the members can run on different places.
This is often practiced by rich and influential families; families who have been political since their
forefathers and have followed the tradition as well.
Political dynasties started to emerge just after the Philippine Revolution happened. It was also when
the First Republic of the Philippines was established. The Philippine Revolution was the fight between
the people of the Philippines and the Spanish colonizers. According to the book The Making of a
Filipino which is written by Renato Constantino, political dynasty was believed to be first recorded
way back in the pre Magellanic period where the rulers where the datu, raja, and maharlika. They

The Factors Influencing The Adoption Of The United States
In your own words, describe some of the factors that contributed to the adoption of the .05 level of
statistical significance (see Kazdin, Chapter 16). One factor was Fisher referring to it in his 1925
book. Cowels and Davis (2016) stated that this may have been the first time the .05 level was referred
to as statistical significance. Therefore, this may have been the most important contribution for the
universal adoption of the .05 level, specifically. That being said, there were multiple contributions by
previous researchers who also deserve credit for the evolution of statistical significance at the .05
level. Therefore, Fisher cannot be credited as the sole inventor of this concept. He can be credited as
the first individual who recorded the .05 level and starting a trend that is universally practiced today.
Another factor was the development of the law of frequency errors. In the 17th century, Huygens
published work about reasoning strategies for dice games and other games of chance. A subsequent
publication from De Moivre was published into three editions during the 18th century. De Moivre s
works were said to be highly influential to the scientific field since it generated the bell shaped curve
(Cowels Davis, 2016). Soon thereafter, Laplace and Gauss applied distribution principles, previously
used for gambling, to the scientific field. The development of the law of frequency errors and then the
transfer to the scientific field can be credited, then, as a

Molarity Of Hcl
This experiment is designed to demonstrate how to use volumetric tools and how to calculate the
molarity of an unknown based on the usage of these tools. Volumetric tools include burets, pipets, and
volumetric flasks and can be used to react an unknown substance with a substance of known
concentration to find the molarity of an unknown. This specific experiment sought to find the
concentration of an HCl solution by reacting it with a standard NaOH solution. An indicator was
added to show when this reaction had occurred (Beran 2012). The hypothesis predicted that the
molarity of the unknown substance would have a concentration of HCl that lied between .07M and
.09M. This was based on the prelab activity with practice calculations that had numbers ... Show more

This is most likely because the hypothesis was based on the pre lab activity, which had calculations
very similar to the predicted molarity range, though was not actually based on the experiment
performed. Additionally, the standard deviation indicates that the data is quite precise, with a deviation
of only .002. This deviation could be due to slightly inaccurate measurements, potentially caused by
instruments that were not cleaned properly or NaOH not falling into the Erlenmeyer flask when it was
being swished during titration. For example, the buret may not have been rinsed to the fullest extent,
causing minor contamination. However, small errors are inevitable in experiments and can only be
minimized.
Conclusion
This experiment appropriately exemplified how to use volumetric instruments when finding molarity
of an unknown concentration. It also showed how to calculate the molarity of one substance based on
titration recordings. Although the data had small divergence, the data recorded was still fairly precise
due to an experiment with minimal user

Factors That Influence Shopping Mall Behaviors
Introduction
It has always been concerned by marketer that what are the factors that impact on shopping behaviors.
The purpose of this desk research is to investigate what are the factors affect shopping time and
analysis how they influence. This research focused on three main factors, gender, age and income, that
has obvious influence on how much time the customers spend in shopping mall.
Background
Many theories have been proposed to explain the factors that influence shopping mall behaviors.
Although it covers a wide variety of theories, such as situational, personal, social and cultural factors,
this research will focus on personal aspect. These themes includes how does consumers gender and
age perspectives impact on time they spend in shopping malls and the debate between different
thoughts on the influence of their income.
Description
In this research, eight articles were reviewed in three different themes to examine the relationship
between customers gender, age or income and time they spend on shopping. All of these articles were
found online and most of them are professional marketing studies. On account of the deductive and
inductive reasoning theories, the results of this research could be more convinced.
Discussion
I. Gender
Gender theory plays an important role in observing shopping behaviors, which stated that the activities
of male and female shoppers are quite different. (Mortimer Clarke, 2010) In Mortimer and Clarke s

Essay On Inventory Management
One of the most important aspects to consider when comparing the current purchasing strategy with
the proposed one is the impact of direct deliveries from external suppliers to the central warehouse on
the lead times of spare parts which are ordered by the warehouse planners. Lead times have a big
influence on inventory planning and replenishment policies and lead time savings can be very
beneficial for the business of a warehouse and the performance of a SPSC (de Treville et al. 2004).
Hiller and Liebermann (2001) regard unnecessarily long lead times as a form of waste and minimizing
or avoiding waste as a key component of superior inventory management. In the current setting, three
stages of the SPSC are involved in the purchasing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
when the supplier is located closer to the warehouse than to the respective factory.
The lead time reductions which could be realized with a change from the current to the proposed
purchasing strategy would lead to several improvements for the warehouse planning which are
presented in the following. Shorter lead times would facilitate a more flexible and customer oriented
planning and would lead to a reduction of uncertainty. According to the BAAS planners, this
uncertainty could be reduced especially in the context of forecasting the demand during the lead time.
Obviously, the lead time demand forecasts would be more accurate when the lead times could be
reduced because the shorter the demand period which has to be forecasted is, the more precise will be
the forecast.30 In addition, shorter lead times would consequently lead to lower demands during the
lead time and would result in less variability. Lower lead time demands, less variability and a
reduction of uncertainty would automatically reduce the necessary safety stocks at the warehouse.
Hence, shorter lead times would also result in a reduction of average inventories, reorder levels and
order up to levels. Decreasing average inventories imply less capital tied up in inventory and higher
stockturns. Moreover, less average inventories mean less inventory holding costs. The head of the
BAAS planning department mentioned two additional positive aspects of shorter lead times. Firstly,
large and

Dangers Of Cell Phones
Do you know the health risks of a cell phone? Many people buy cell phones to make their lives easier
but people tend to ignore the fact that a cell phone can be very dangerous. When you see cell phone
companies advertising their next generation phone, they talk about the new updates and how this new
phone can be beneficial to your life. But they don t want you to know that cell phones can cause a lot
of health risks. (Cell) telephones initially turned out to be generally accessible in the United States in
the 1990s, however their utilization has expanded drastically from that point forward. Alongside the
huge and as yet developing number of children and grown ups using cell phones, the measure of time
individuals spend on their telephones has likewise risen forcefully in late decades. Mobile phones
(counting smart cell phones) emit a type of vitality known as radiofrequency (RF) waves, so a few
concerns have been raised about the security of cell phone utilize. As for growth, concern concentrates
on whether mobile phones may build the danger of mind tumors or different tumors in the head and
neck area. Studies have shown that mobile phones with headaches, DNA damage, memory loss, ear
ache, fatigue many more problems. Cell phone companies should show the health risks and the long
term health effects of owning a cell phone. A study by an article called Clinical Journal Of Oncology
Nursing proves that cell phones can cause brain tumors. This article states that Cell Phones And Other
Similar Technology Increase The Risk Of Brain Tumors (Sharon, 2008). This article Claims that
features have energized the myth that cell phones cause malignancy, especially cerebrum disease. As

The For A Good Risk Management Plan
Alcohol and rock concerts often intersected over the course of time; plenty of concerts and festivals
have either used alcohol as a sponsor or ancillary revenue. Alcohol and other types of concessions sold
at festivals are considered ancillary revenue because it is derived from goods or services other than the
primary service or good being offered (What is ancillary revenue, 2015, para.1). Therefore, serving
alcohol at festivals is another way for the promotors, event managers, and the venue to obtain
additional source of revenue. As the event manager for the Freedom festival, a rock roll festival being
held at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, NC; it is the intention of the festival to provide the
patrons with a safe and fun environment to enjoy their favorite music.
The basis for a good risk management plan is providing a risk assessment for the event before
determining how to address the possible risks. A risk assessment is a process to identify potential
hazards and analyze what could happen if a hazard occurs (Risk Assessment, 2015, para.1). Therefore,
the risk assessment will be used to identify the possible problems that can arise from alcohol. The
Freedom Festival event planning committee is aware of, and concerned about the risks and issues that
are associated with the availability of alcohol throughout the course of the event, so they plan is to
create a risk management plan to address these risks. Violence, alcohol poisoning, drunk driving,

Your brain has built in evolutionary mechanisms that drive your cravings. Many of these mechanisms
are meant for survival, one of the which is eating. And of course, the release of hormones is also

Annihilation Of Native Americans Summary
At the nineteenth century as new immigrants from around the world came to North America to settle
in these new states called the United States as they filled in much of this land in the new territory the
old natives of this area were forced to travel westward and try their best to keep their land. Most
people claimed that the Indians were vanishing as they could not adapt to these new Europeans
lifestyles while others argued that it would not happen. In the end, we see that the Indians survived
through a huge act of extinction toward their society, while the reader looks back at evidence of Indian
life, it is obviously seen that the predictors of the Indians demise were smart as they used evidence to
support their claims while others on the opposing side did have good views. However the evidence
that has been prompted through time proved that the prediction of annihilation of Native Americans

At the risk of being judgmental this book is very complicated. The points are many and varied. In his

would influence that commentary. The World of Jesus and the World of Mark, the filters and models

The hypotheses on how this Gospel originated are many and varied. The continuity of the actual
message of the story of the life of Jesus seems, it would be generally agreed, to hinge on the Gospel of
Mark being a source for the other Synoptic gospels at least. Much argument has also gone on about
the place and time of writing of Mark and how this influences the traditioning or the handing on of the
story. How the original written version came to be from the oral process is also a cause for the concern
as regards continuity of the story. Was it faithfully translated?
Nineham states that Jesus very character was determined by the particular circumstances in which the
tradition was handed down. Those who kept it shaped the tradition itself. They had their own motives
and beliefs and these have influenced the tradition that has brought out the character of Jesus as we
know today (Nineham 1986: 21).
This traditioning was a process that began by orally recounting the story at private or public
gatherings. The public gatherings being more favoured because preachers or teachers, that is those
entrusted with the traditioning process, would have told the story at worship or catechumen gatherings
(Nineham 1986: 22).
As is sometimes the practice with preaching today so it may have been in the first century. Anyone
telling the story would be driven by a particular need of the time, for example if a message on good
neighbours was needed then the

Why Did Wood Construction Play A Role In Greek Architecture
For my junior research project, I want to focus on architectural structures and architects in Greece. I
will be researching about the process which the architects got their influences, the process of how
Greek architecture evolved over time. Greek architecture began evolving in the 7th 6th century BCE

reaching marble which was used by Ionic architects in the 6th century. The architects focused on
specific details of the buildings in addition to a focus on temples and were influenced by others, Egypt
for example, not only in buildings but also figures. Democracy and events/ the society s culture can

Magnetic Field Lab
A magnetic field is produced in the region around a wire whenever a current flow through that wire.
Magnetic fields are vector fields, they have a direction and magnitude. The formula for the magnitude
of the magnetic field from a wire is B=(µ_O I)/2πr. B is the magnetic field, µ_O is the permeability of
free space (4πx〖10〗^( 7)Tm/A), I is the current, and r is the distance from the field sensor to the
rod. In part 1A and 1B we constantly turn off the power source and ammeter after each run to
eliminate the strongest magnetic field, earth. In graph 1, the best fit is a linear line. The graph

In this graph, the magnetic field (B) is equal to 1/B. As displayed in the graph, 1/B is inversely
proportional to the distance from the field sensor to the rod (R), which allows the graph to correspond
to the expression of the magnitude of the magnetic field (B) in a current carrying wire when there is a
change in distance. The current (I) remains constant in this part. Lastly, in part 2 of this lab, we
analyzed the magnetic field of the magnet. Magnets can exert a force at a distance, just like electric
charges. Magnetic fields permeate space and are strongest near a permanent magnet (magnetic dipole)
or electromagnet (electric dipole); therefore, the power supply and ammeter were not required in this
part. Part 2, consisted of determining the relationship between the magnetic field strength and the
distance from the magnet. The graph 1/B vs. R^3, is the most linear out of the three. This graph
corresponds the best to how we know a change in distance affects the magnetic field strength of a
magnetic dipole, because the relatioship between a magnetic dipole and distance is inversely
proportional. As the distance between the rod and the magnet increases, the magnetic field strength

(3.1.387). All the while, the Duke remains in disguise as the Friar but he does become angry and
frustrated with Lucio s false words. Because he is unable to act how he would if he were in his ruling
position, he threatens to report Lucio to the Duke for saying these slanderous things (3.1.397). In the
final act, it is Lucio who discovers that the friar is the Duke by unveiling him. Whether Lucio is
surprised by this discovery is unknown and left, again, to the interpretation of the director. In these
moments when Rosalind s and the Duke s ability to stay in disguise were being tested, they both felt

Role Of The Federal Government On The Economy And Social...
During the 1830s the Democratic Party was formed around President Andrew Jackson and his primary
issues that took up most of his term banking and tariffs. The Democrats favored American expansion
to new farmlands and new territories. The Democrats also ended elites, industrialists, and the Bank of
the United states, which would they felt would build up an industry that was at the price of yeoman
farmer. The Whig Party were an organized group in opposition to Andrew Jackson, who they felt
would destroy America and the industry. The Whig Party was led by Henry Clay and John Quincy

The peal of shouting that arose rent the air, and seemed to shake the very ground. But when the Chief
Justice took his place and commenced the brief ceremony of administering the oath, it quickly sank
into comparative silence; and as the new President proceeded to read his inaugural address, the
stillness gradually increased; but all efforts to hear him, beyond the brief space immediately around
were utterly in vain. Jackson s policies for a small government sparked interests in plantation owners
in the south and farmers in the west. Jackson demised the National Bank, in his vision it handed
infinite amount of power to the government and place the lower class at a disadvantage. Jackson
wanted the power to be with the people not the government;however, the process of this act limited
time for the opportunity for social reform 5. The Jacksonian democrats consider that modern
infrastructure and industry were mandatory for American prosperity, they felt that the states were
responsible to promote market capitalism and sponsor projects. Democrats concluded that
modernization should be designed to promote the agrarian vision.2 The Democrats had this vision of
owning land;however, lots of Native American Indians still resided in the state of Georgia. Jackson
fought against congress to have the indians removed completely because he felt it would be inhumane.

The Psychology Of Alfred Adler Essay
Alfred Alder s experiences as a child with feelings of inferiority and weak physique drove his theories
of organ inferiority and idea that humans strive for superiority (Engler, 2014). Alder met many
obstacles in his childhood because of his health including a bone disease called rickets, pneumonia at
the age of four, and he was run over twice (Engler, 2014). Alder insisted that his childhood was
difficult and unhappy considering that his bone disease made him clumsy and awkward (Engler,
2014). Adler s school teacher suggested he should be taken out of school, but he later became a
superior academic (Engler, 2014). In his adulthood, he established himself as a practicing neurologist
and psychiatrist (Engler, 2014.) Examining Adler s life ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The negative outcome that may occur is the organ inferiority leading the person to develop possible
neurotic disorders, while the positive path would be ideal compensation and lead to optimal
achievements. Every individual with an organ inferiority can choose to utilize their strengths to
complete goals or dramatize their lives by trying to achieve the impossible. Vaughan (1927) mentions
five characteristics in which one should examine organic imperfection which are heredity, disease,
definite stigmata, childish defects, and reflect anomalies. Heredity was considered the aspect of the
major role in inferiority. The concept of heredity corresponds with Alder s first definition of organic
inferiority, which is inherited damage. Definite stigmata are abnormal features that should be looked
at that suggests that the person has an inferior organ (Vaughan 1927). The article gives the example of
childish defects as lack of bladder control (Vaughan, 1927). Reflect abnormalities whether they are
absent or exaggerated show there is a defective physiological mechanism (Vaughan, 1927). Alder s
life is an example of compensation. Alder had a bone disease that made him clumsy and awkward,
thus he worked on developing his intelligence rather than participating in sports. Alder stepped out of
feelings of inferiority and became a superior academic, and he also developed social interest and he
felt that he fit in his group

Cambodi The Country Of Cambodia
In the southern portion of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia lays the small country of
Cambodia, a country that has been in economic turmoil for decades. One economic downfall after
another has led to about a third of the nation existing below the poverty line which was at 2,473 Riel
or 61 cents per day in 2010. Cambodia s population is estimated to be around 15,000,000 people. So
that leaves about 5,000,000 in poverty. The current struggle Cambodia has to face is the future. The
private sector needs to create enough jobs to handle Cambodia s demographic imbalance. Nearly half
of the population is under 21. Due to the poverty in this country children are victims of
malnourishment from a very young age. As you can imagine, growing up in conditions such as these
lead to impacts on their education and learning skills. This puts Cambodia s youth in a highly
vulnerable position as it would it any country. Migrating to the urban areas without any money,
knowledge, or support these youth get pushed into a life of alcoholism, drug addictions, sex trade,
HIV exposure, theft, and killing. There is an estimate of about 24,000 children who work and live on
the streets. Cambodia is a society where it is not common to share your family problems. They are
considered private issues and no one really cares to hear about them. Sharing things like this is
considered a weakness. This could be a cause or effect of the lack of social services and counseling in
Cambodia. The education

Essay on The Situational Leadership Model
The Situational Leadership Model
Situational leadership is interplay between the amounts of direction that a leader allows in: 1) the
amount of directive (task) behavior and 2) the amount of relationship behavior (supportive behavior).
What this means is that when an individual first begins a new task they require a lot of direction and
managerial guidance. As they learn more about the task, the amount of direction decreases until they
can make many of the decisions with the manager providing little input. The situational leadership
model developed and refined by Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard divides the model into four ... Show

THE FOUR LEADERSHIP STYLES
[IMAGE]
We begin in the lower right quadrant, S1 directing leadership style. This phase is where the new
employee or older employee learning a new task begins. The directing will require that the leader
define the roles of the follower. The leader initiates problem solving and decision making and directs
communication towards the follower. The leader will tell the follower what to do, how to do it, where
to do it, and when to do it. Close supervision is also involved at this point. The X axis beginning point
is to the extreme right (high directive) indicating that leader will be providing directions. The
rectangular object showing development levels is also to the extreme right but here it signifies that the
amount of learned knowledge (amount of development to perform task) is low. The beginner may
become enthusiastic about wanting to learn. They will probably be highly committed but competence
will be low. The Y axis is on the bottom end showing us that supportive behavior is at a low point.
The second quadrant is located in the upper right, S2 coaching leadership style. This phase is where
the leader listens to the follower, provides support and encourages the follower s efforts, and facilitates
involvement with problem solving and decision making. Communication flows between leader and
follower. The X axis beginning point is to the

Does Economic Globalization Affect Interstate Military...
DOES ECONOMIC GLOBALIZATION AFFECT INTERSTATE MILITARY CONFLICT?
I
Although there is still not agreement on a common definition of this phenomenon, in this paper I will
accept the one developed by R.M. Joshi (2009). He identifies, indeed, Economic Globalization as the
increasing economic integration and interdependence of national, regional and local economies across
the world through an intensification of cross border movement of goods, services, technologies and
capital
There are two good reasons, in my opinion to accept Prof. Joshi s definition. First, it contains two core
point affecting every aspect of that phenomena: Interdependence and Cross border movements.
Second, it focuses on the interaction among markets avoiding approximate expression often used in
public debate as Global Economy and Global Market that could mislead the reader, where national
states still play an important role in Economies destinies, many people are not involved in economy,
some markets still operate on a local level, transnational corporations are anyway nationally based and
we can not (still) talk about a global labour market. (Aspers and Kohl 2011).

The one among trade and peace is an old story. Yet in the XVII century Montesquieu (1758) wrote
Peace is the natural effect of trade. Two nations who traffic with each other become reciprocally
dependent . Another giant of that time, Immanuel Kant (1795), seems to share this point of view in his

Nt1310 Unit 3 Network Design
In the Network Design Paper I will explain how the University has recently leased a building in
Adelphi, Maryland. The measurements of the University is 240 feet long, 95 feet wide and 30 feet tall
and broken down to two different floors. This University will be used for education purposes of
course, the facility will be made of six instructional labs, seven offices, library, five classrooms, a
student lobby and a computer lab. There will be a server room on each floor. The purpose of this paper
is to explain the design of the networks in this building. The student accessed computers will be set up
on a separate network than the network that they staff will be using. The entire building will share one
internet access connection, which is a T 1 link from Verizon. A T1 link is one of the most common
Internet access connections used by small businesses. T 1 Link is very fast, consistent and protected. It
runs with a bandwidth speeds of 1.5Mb (WordPress.com). That speed is enough to achieve and
complete essential business functions. Security is definitely a must and big concern that has to be
taken into consideration when design networks, whether it is a business or a home network. Building a
network in a university, we have to protect students and employee s data as well as any intellectual
property that college has on the servers and computers. Additional, there are other considerations for
each lab, classroom, office, and the library including the capability to print and

  • 3. Save The Whales Vs Save The Makah The topic of whale conservation and the Makah people s economy is not something that some audiences would jump at reading nor is it an easy topic to research and discuss in a formal paper. The techniques and strategies that authors use to write a paper that is worthy of a person s time differ from author to author but the main core of a paper is similar in most aspects. When it comes to researching the Makah economy a person must do so in a way that is purposeful and targeted at a specific audience; the three articles I read do just that. With a similar purpose of sharing economic and legal issues that the Makah people face, to an audience of professionals in a similar field, these three articles are able to raise similar questions about the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Michael Marker s article was biased towards the Native American way of life and the article depicted the media and education system is a negative light. For example the article told a story about a boy whose mother came into his classroom to talk about Native American whaling and culture but the parents got angry with her saying that she was promoting a religion. The principle of the school had to apologize to the families and promise an event like it would never occur again. This story showed the negative side of education and sharing culture and the author did not depict both sides or give an explanation he simply said that the parents were wrong. Despite the bias that exists in the article After the Makah Whale Hunt the article still addresses economic issues and is thus still similar to the other articles. Michael Marker s article still talked about how whale conservation changed the Makah s economy just as the other two articles did. The article still talked about the legal implications of the governments, and publics, action, to speak for the Makah people. Marker s article simply used a different approach where he talked about the people while the other articles talked more about the numerical and legal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Hardness And What Impact Does It Have On Water Quality 1. What is hardness and what impact does it have on water quality? Hardness is the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium in the water. Hardness impacts on water quality throughout the aesthetic acceptability by consumers (meaning the concentration of the calcium and magnesium and other dissolved solids are measureable by the consumers). In addition to, economic and operational considerations (which is controllable throughout the treatment or blending in public drinking water), hard water tends to leave scale deposition in the water distribution system, as well as in heated water applications. (Hardness in Drinking water, 2011). 2. What water quality standards are associated with water hardness? There is no Primary or Secondary standard for water hardness by EPA. Also hardness has no health risk. As the hardness of water is classified: 0 to 60 mg/ as calcium carbonate is classified as soft; 61 to 120 mg/L as moderately hard; 121 to 180 mg/L as hard; and more than 180 mg/L as very hard. (Water quality criteria. (n.d.). 3. Briefly describe your understanding about pH and why is pH important in water treatment. Give two examples. pH is a measure of the hydrogen ion activity in the water and is determined by the relative number of the hydrogen ions for acidity and hydroxide ion for alkalinity, thus mathematically expressed as pH= log [H+] where [H+] is the hydrogen ion activity . pH values are calculated in powers of 10.Thus, the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution ... • 5. Senate Case Study Nevertheless, when H.R 5175 made it to the Senate under the title of S.3628 the journey to its passage would be far more complicated. This complication is due to the Senate s institutional design that protects the minority party in the Senate. During the 111th Senate, Democrats also controlled this chamber with 57 Democrats, 2 independents who caucused with Democrats and 41 Republicans. This majority allowed democrats to take introduce their bill in the Senate, and move to proceed all within the same day. That said, while the Democrats may have the majority in the Senate they do not have nearly as much power as a majority party in the House. Sponsor of the bill Senator Charles Schumer, along with fellow Democrats took this time to speak in favor of the bill, and their discontent with the Court s ruling in Citizens United. Meanwhile Senator Roberts (R KS) claimed that this bill was an infringement on the first amendment, and that the ruling in Citizens united was just a way of protecting citizens first amendment right. Unlike in the House, there was no limit to this debate by a rules committee and instead required what is known as cloture to end the debate. A cloture petition is the only way to end debate in the Senate, and it requires at minimum two thirds support or 60 signatures from Senators to be considered valid(Sinclair 79). This two thirds requirement is considered a super majority and has proven to be quite difficult to obtain. A cloture petition is the counter to the filibuster, a tool given to members of the minority party to give them strength within the congressional body. Through a filibuster a member of the minority may extend debate to the point that a bill never has the chance to be voted on, ultimately killing the it (Sinclair 80). The necessity of a supermajority in order to take away this power of the minority once again attest the protection of the minority party within the Senate. After some debate a cloture motion was filed in hopes to end debate on the bill. That said, while Democrats were a majority in the Senate they were not a supermajority, meaning ... Controversy Regarding Cannabis-Related Legislations in Canada There is presently much controversy regarding Cannabis related legislations in Canada, as while there is a great deal of individuals supporting conditions in the present, there are also numerous people who are against contemporary laws. It is presently illegal to grow cannabis plants in Canada, but the authorities allow cannabis to be consumed for medical purposes. Many people in Canada believe that cannabis should be legalized in the country, with some of the most recent polls pointing toward the belief that the majority of individuals in the country consider that the substance should not be illegal. Although it would be difficult to assess the effects that legalizing cannabis would have, it is only safe to assume that the government should express more tolerance concerning the substance, considering that more than half of Canada s population has expressed its support in regard to the drug. Individuals who consume cannabis for recreational purposes are certain that the fact that this substance is included in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as illegal is proof that the authorities directly discriminate them on account of their substance orientation. Canada has a history in debating the use of cannabis and the circumstances when it can be beneficial for the consumer and for society as a whole. • 12. The Healthcare Industry of America; An investigative look... The Healthcare Industry of America: An investigative look at HMO s It s no secret that Health Maintenance Organizations, known as HMO s, have made healthcare affordable for many Americans, but at what risks? Most employers offer some type of health care plan that is an HMO. Let s face it, given the choice among insurance coverage through your employer, in which he pays half the costs, or acquiring private insurance coverage outside your employer, most Americans choose to go with employer provided HMO s. Why then, has there been so much controversy with HMO s? Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This process could take weeks due to cumbersome paperwork and the limited number of specialist per each group or health plan. Again, many doctors only accept these plans to supplement their practices. It is common for them to stop accepting your HMO after only a few years which leaves the patient a choice of either paying cash, or changing doctors or insurance companies. One can see why this might be a frustrating process. Managed care reduces cost by keeping a pool of doctors and specialist to a minimum, and at the same time keeping the volume of patients high. This often means that a patient may not receive the same amount of attention and care as they should, or were accustomed to. Consumers have long grumbled that HMO s have done too much too keep health costs down by stinting on patient care.(1). Healthcare expenditures have more than doubled since 1965. Americans spend over a trillion dollars a year on health care. (2). As of 1996, 110 million Americans were enrolled in HMO s. More than three fourths of all individuals in HMO s are covered by job based insurance. More than 13 million Medicaid recipients have been put into managed care plans. Europe s Influence On Western Europe Western Europe is a term that was used to describe a region where many countries, such as Britain, France and Germany, which joined after World Wars, shared the same history. In another perspective, it was also sometimes referring to a region where countries shared the same value: capitalism and democracy. Throughout the history, because of difference events, the position of Western Europe in the world has also changed. Before 1914, due to the rapid development of the Enlightenment ideas and the industrialization in Britain and France, the world major powers centrally seated in Western Europe. However, as the Western European countries suffered huge losses from two World Wars, Western Europe has actually steadily marched East since the Great War. Moreover, as many new immigrants from the former colonized regions joined Western European countries, Western Europe also gained its economic and political cohesion as most countries became part of NATO and then the European Union. In the present days, while the idea of Western Europe has expanded to more countries, it became dominant in its continent and could be considered as a savior to many other nations. Prior to the 1914, many of the world great powers, such as Britain and France were centrally seated in Western Europe. Financial Advice Essay In the early 1980s, there was an economic downturn in Australia, to find out the cause of this event, the Australian government has established a financial system survey in the year 1996. He published his investigation report in 1997, titled the final report of the deregulation of financial services; it commonly referred to as the Wallis Report . Wallis found that the most suitable structure for Australia will then include two regulators: one who is responsible for prudential regulation of any entity that needs to be cautiously supervised; another one is the market and management of any financial products that are provided to the Australian consumers. The battle with Hector and Achilles was kind of funny because when Achilles called out Hector and they fought they fought for their respective countries with the winner claiming victory for their side. This was done to save the lives of many. Achilles was invincible and killed hector easily. He then dragged his dead body around the entire building and they were upset about that. • 19. The Ideal Household By Xenophon The purpose of The Ideal Household as told by Xenophon, a student of Socrates, was to show the reader how an elite Athenian lady lived as well as to show what an ideal marriage looked like. Xenophon wanted to convey to the readers what he thought an ideal marriage looked like and also what he generally thought most marriages in Athens were. The overall message of this source is not explicit in nature, but does offer a subtle yet firm message on how women in Athens were expected to behave. Wives of elite men were often expected to fully run the household while dedicating their lives to their husbands and family. The work the women put into their family and households was a full time job that was usually never noticed or acknowledged outside of the household. Xenophon conveyed his message of what he thought an ideal marriage and household was by asking an Athenian gentleman questions about his marriage and life. The man offered insight into his and his wife s life and he spoke about how he lived a relaxed life while his wife attended to most if not all the household duties. Xenophon seemed worried about what this man actually did with his life and the man replied that he does not spend my days indoors, if for no other reason than because my wife can manage all our domestic affairs without my aid. . ( ) The man made it very clear that he has in a way trained his wife to run their household while he does whatever he pleases. Xenophon was very interested by this and wondered ... • 26. The Factors Influencing The Adoption Of The United States In your own words, describe some of the factors that contributed to the adoption of the .05 level of statistical significance (see Kazdin, Chapter 16). One factor was Fisher referring to it in his 1925 book. Cowels and Davis (2016) stated that this may have been the first time the .05 level was referred to as statistical significance. Therefore, this may have been the most important contribution for the universal adoption of the .05 level, specifically. That being said, there were multiple contributions by previous researchers who also deserve credit for the evolution of statistical significance at the .05 level. Therefore, Fisher cannot be credited as the sole inventor of this concept. He can be credited as the first individual who recorded the .05 level and starting a trend that is universally practiced today. Another factor was the development of the law of frequency errors. In the 17th century, Huygens published work about reasoning strategies for dice games and other games of chance. A subsequent publication from De Moivre was published into three editions during the 18th century. De Moivre s works were said to be highly influential to the scientific field since it generated the bell shaped curve (Cowels Davis, 2016). Soon thereafter, Laplace and Gauss applied distribution principles, previously used for gambling, to the scientific field. Volumetric tools include burets, pipets, and volumetric flasks and can be used to react an unknown substance with a substance of known concentration to find the molarity of an unknown. This specific experiment sought to find the concentration of an HCl solution by reacting it with a standard NaOH solution. An indicator was added to show when this reaction had occurred (Beran 2012). Additionally, the standard deviation indicates that the data is quite precise, with a deviation of only .002. This deviation could be due to slightly inaccurate measurements, potentially caused by instruments that were not cleaned properly or NaOH not falling into the Erlenmeyer flask when it was being swished during titration. For example, the buret may not have been rinsed to the fullest extent, causing minor contamination. However, small errors are inevitable in experiments and can only be minimized. The lead time reductions which could be realized with a change from the current to the proposed purchasing strategy would lead to several improvements for the warehouse planning which are presented in the following. Shorter lead times would facilitate a more flexible and customer oriented planning and would lead to a reduction of uncertainty. According to the BAAS planners, this uncertainty could be reduced especially in the context of forecasting the demand during the lead time. Obviously, the lead time demand forecasts would be more accurate when the lead times could be reduced because the shorter the demand period which has to be forecasted is, the more precise will be the forecast.30 In addition, shorter lead times would consequently lead to lower demands during the lead time and would result in less variability. Lower lead time demands, less variability and a reduction of uncertainty would automatically reduce the necessary safety stocks at the warehouse. Hence, shorter lead times would also result in a reduction of average inventories, reorder levels and order up to levels. Decreasing average inventories imply less capital tied up in inventory and higher stockturns. Moreover, less average inventories mean less inventory holding costs. They had their own motives and beliefs and these have influenced the tradition that has brought out the character of Jesus as we know today (Nineham 1986: 21). This traditioning was a process that began by orally recounting the story at private or public gatherings. The public gatherings being more favoured because preachers or teachers, that is those entrusted with the traditioning process, would have told the story at worship or catechumen gatherings (Nineham 1986: 22). As is sometimes the practice with preaching today so it may have been in the first century. Anyone telling the story would be driven by a particular need of the time, for example if a message on good neighbours was needed then the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Why Did Wood Construction Play A Role In Greek Architecture For my junior research project, I want to focus on architectural structures and architects in Greece. I will be researching about the process which the architects got their influences, the process of how Greek architecture evolved over time. Greek architecture began evolving in the 7th 6th century BCE and their use of materials began with mud brick and timber, stone, limestone, wood, etc...until reaching marble which was used by Ionic architects in the 6th century. The architects focused on specific details of the buildings in addition to a focus on temples and were influenced by others, Egypt for example, not only in buildings but also figures. Democracy and events/ the society s culture can also be seen as an influential component to Greek architecture. As I continue to research more about the Greek architects and architectural sites, my research questions are: Who and what event(s) influenced its creation of buildings? ... • 38. Magnetic Field Lab A magnetic field is produced in the region around a wire whenever a current flow through that wire. Magnetic fields are vector fields, they have a direction and magnitude. The formula for the magnitude of the magnetic field from a wire is B=(µ_O I)/2πr. B is the magnetic field, µ_O is the permeability of free space (4πx〖10〗^( 7)Tm/A), I is the current, and r is the distance from the field sensor to the rod. In part 1A and 1B we constantly turn off the power source and ammeter after each run to eliminate the strongest magnetic field, earth. In graph 1, the best fit is a linear line. The graph corresponds to the expression of the magnitude of the magnetic field in a current carrying wire when there is a change in current because the magnetic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this graph, the magnetic field (B) is equal to 1/B. As displayed in the graph, 1/B is inversely proportional to the distance from the field sensor to the rod (R), which allows the graph to correspond to the expression of the magnitude of the magnetic field (B) in a current carrying wire when there is a change in distance. The current (I) remains constant in this part. Lastly, in part 2 of this lab, we analyzed the magnetic field of the magnet. Magnets can exert a force at a distance, just like electric charges. Magnetic fields permeate space and are strongest near a permanent magnet (magnetic dipole) or electromagnet (electric dipole); therefore, the power supply and ammeter were not required in this part. Part 2, consisted of determining the relationship between the magnetic field strength and the distance from the magnet. The graph 1/B vs. R^3, is the most linear out of the three. This graph corresponds the best to how we know a change in distance affects the magnetic field strength of a magnetic dipole, because the relatioship between a magnetic dipole and distance is inversely proportional. As the distance between the rod and the magnet increases, the magnetic field strength ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Psychology Of Alfred Adler Essay Alfred Alder s experiences as a child with feelings of inferiority and weak physique drove his theories of organ inferiority and idea that humans strive for superiority (Engler, 2014). Alder met many obstacles in his childhood because of his health including a bone disease called rickets, pneumonia at the age of four, and he was run over twice (Engler, 2014). Alder insisted that his childhood was difficult and unhappy considering that his bone disease made him clumsy and awkward (Engler, 2014). The negative outcome that may occur is the organ inferiority leading the person to develop possible neurotic disorders, while the positive path would be ideal compensation and lead to optimal achievements. Every individual with an organ inferiority can choose to utilize their strengths to complete goals or dramatize their lives by trying to achieve the impossible. Vaughan (1927) mentions five characteristics in which one should examine organic imperfection which are heredity, disease, definite stigmata, childish defects, and reflect anomalies. Heredity was considered the aspect of the major role in inferiority. The concept of heredity corresponds with Alder s first definition of organic inferiority, which is inherited damage. Definite stigmata are abnormal features that should be looked at that suggests that the person has an inferior organ (Vaughan 1927). The article gives the example of childish defects as lack of bladder control (Vaughan, 1927). Reflect abnormalities whether they are absent or exaggerated show there is a defective physiological mechanism (Vaughan, 1927). Alder s life is an example of compensation. Alder stepped out of feelings of inferiority and became a superior academic, and he also developed social interest and he felt that he fit in his group ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cambodi The Country Of Cambodia In the southern portion of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia lays the small country of Cambodia, a country that has been in economic turmoil for decades. One economic downfall after another has led to about a third of the nation existing below the poverty line which was at 2,473 Riel or 61 cents per day in 2010. Cambodia s population is estimated to be around 15,000,000 people. So that leaves about 5,000,000 in poverty. The current struggle Cambodia has to face is the future. The private sector needs to create enough jobs to handle Cambodia s demographic imbalance. Nearly half of the population is under 21. Due to the poverty in this country children are victims of malnourishment from a very young age. As you can imagine, growing up in conditions such as these lead to impacts on their education and learning skills. This puts Cambodia s youth in a highly vulnerable position as it would it any country. Migrating to the urban areas without any money, knowledge, or support these youth get pushed into a life of alcoholism, drug addictions, sex trade, HIV exposure, theft, and killing. There is an estimate of about 24,000 children who work and live on the streets. Cambodia is a society where it is not common to share your family problems. They are considered private issues and no one really cares to hear about them. Sharing things like this is considered a weakness. • 47. Essay on The Situational Leadership Model The Situational Leadership Model Situational leadership is interplay between the amounts of direction that a leader allows in: 1) the amount of directive (task) behavior and 2) the amount of relationship behavior (supportive behavior). What this means is that when an individual first begins a new task they require a lot of direction and managerial guidance. As they learn more about the task, the amount of direction decreases until they can make many of the decisions with the manager providing little input. The situational leadership model developed and refined by Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard divides the model into four ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... THE FOUR LEADERSHIP STYLES [IMAGE] We begin in the lower right quadrant, S1 directing leadership style. This phase is where the new employee or older employee learning a new task begins. The directing will require that the leader define the roles of the follower. The leader initiates problem solving and decision making and directs communication towards the follower. The leader will tell the follower what to do, how to do it, where to do it, and when to do it. Close supervision is also involved at this point. The X axis beginning point is to the extreme right (high directive) indicating that leader will be providing directions. The rectangular object showing development levels is also to the extreme right but here it signifies that the amount of learned knowledge (amount of development to perform task) is low. The beginner may become enthusiastic about wanting to learn. They will probably be highly committed but competence will be low. The Y axis is on the bottom end showing us that supportive behavior is at a low point. The second quadrant is located in the upper right, S2 coaching leadership style. • 48. Does Economic Globalization Affect Interstate Military... DOES ECONOMIC GLOBALIZATION AFFECT INTERSTATE MILITARY CONFLICT? I Although there is still not agreement on a common definition of this phenomenon, in this paper I will accept the one developed by R.M. Joshi (2009). He identifies, indeed, Economic Globalization as the increasing economic integration and interdependence of national, regional and local economies across the world through an intensification of cross border movement of goods, services, technologies and capital There are two good reasons, in my opinion to accept Prof. Joshi s definition. First, it contains two core point affecting every aspect of that phenomena: Interdependence and Cross border movements. Second, it focuses on the interaction among markets avoiding approximate expression often used in public debate as Global Economy and Global Market that could mislead the reader, where national states still play an important role in Economies destinies, many people are not involved in economy, some markets still operate on a local level, transnational corporations are anyway nationally based and we can not (still) talk about a global labour market. (Aspers and Kohl 2011). II The one among trade and peace is an old story. Yet in the XVII century Montesquieu (1758) wrote Peace is the natural effect of trade. Two nations who traffic with each other become reciprocally dependent . Another giant of that time, Immanuel Kant (1795), seems to share this point of view in his Essay on Perpetual Peace. At ... This University will be used for education purposes of course, the facility will be made of six instructional labs, seven offices, library, five classrooms, a student lobby and a computer lab. There will be a server room on each floor. The purpose of this paper is to explain the design of the networks in this building. The student accessed computers will be set up on a separate network than the network that they staff will be using. The entire building will share one internet access connection, which is a T 1 link from Verizon. A T1 link is one of the most common Internet access connections used by small businesses.
