Company Overview Of Coca Cola
Company Overview Are you a Coca Cola or Pepsi person? Well I personally prefer Coca Cola. In
1886 pharmacist Dr. John S. Pemberton founded Coca Cola. He desired to create a delicious soft
drink, so he conjured up a flavored syrup that might fill his desire. Pemberton then mixed the
syrup with carbonated water to get a final product ready for sampling. The people who sampled
his creation said that it was excellent. Frank M. Robinson is recognized for giving Pemberton s
beverage the name of Coca Cola and giving the beverage its trademark. Coca Cola then received the
nickname Coke for short. After inventing what has become the number one selling drink,
Pemberton sold his company to numerous parties, mainly including businessmen from... Show more

Coca Cola now has a net worth that is well into the billions of dollars. What keeps Coca Cola
running and growing is the constant, strategic marketing skills needed to keep any successful
company at the top. Overview of Major Product Coca Cola is the cool fizzy drink on a hot day
many people long for. It is one of the top products of this ever changing world. I chose Coca Cola
because it is a gigantic, world renowned product. Coca Cola also has another major competitor,
Pepsi. I thought it would be very interesting to see how Coca Cola tries to complete with Pepsi. Our
customers include hypermarkets, supermarkets, discounters, kiosks, petrol stations, cinemas,
leisure parks, hotels, restaurants and cafГ©s, among others. The customers are a core value of
Coca Cola. Coca Cola tries their best to work together with customers to be the customer s first
choice ( Customers, n.d.). To be the customer s first choice, Coca Cola not only has to worry about
their taste. Coca Cola must focus on availability, affordability, acceptability, activation, and attitude.
Being a great company with a great product goes far beyond just the product. I think that the most
important attributes that Coca Cola focuses on outside of the product itself would be availability,
affordability, and attitude. Customers today want something easy to access, they want to work
smarter, not harder. If prices are unreasonable, that is an automatic turn

The Roman Province Of Dacia
The Roman province of Dacia consisted of most of Romania from approximately 100 to 271
A.D. The Daco Roman was overran again and again by barbarian conquerors. Many migrants
traveled to Romania. In the 5th and 6th century two major events happened. First in the 5th
century, came the Huns and in the 6th century they were followed by the Avars. The Huns were a
nomadic tribe whose origin is unknown but, most likely, they came from somewhere between the
eastern edge of the Altai Mountains and the Caspian Sea, roughly modern Kazakhstan (Kelly, 45).
The Avars were a confederation of heterogeneous (diverse or varied) people consisting of Rouran,
Hephthalites, and Turkic Oghuric races who migrated to the region of the Pontic Grass Steppe (an
area corresponding to modern day Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan) from Central Asia after the fall of
the Asiatic Rouran Empire in 552 CE. After the Huns and Avars came the Slavs which were
designates an ethnic group of people who share a long term cultural continuity and who speak a set
of related languages known as the Slavic languages. After the Huns, Slavs and Avars came,
Romania the slowly settled down and a feudal order was born. Around the 8 10th century, Eastern
Orthodox Christianity was brought amongst the Romanians by the mastery of the Bulgarian
Empire. The Hungarian empire had overruled Transylvania in or around the 11th century. By the
time the 16th century rolled around, the well known Romanian principalities of Walachia and

JonBenet Ramsey Murder Case Essay
After looking over all of the evidence in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case it is clear to me that the
Ramsey family murdered JonBenet. I think that Burke, her older brother, did the actually killing,
but his mother in father aided in the coverup of the crime.
This was the only theory that could make sense to me when considering all the suspects, especially
John and Patsy Ramsey. It was obvious to me that they were involved but the only way that things
truly added up were if Burke did the actual killing.
First of all, it is easy to see a motive with Burke. At the time of his sister s death he was a couple of
weeks away from his birthday. Burke was quiet and his sister

The reason why I think all of this is because there is no real signs of an intruder.
There is a scuff mark by the basement window but it would be very hard for anyone to get through
that window. Then there was the ransom note. If someone was to leave a ransom note then they
would normally take the person they were holding ransom with them. It didn t make sense that
there was a ransom note and then the dead body in the house. Also, another strange thing about that
note was that it said that JonBenet would be
beheaded if they told the police about the ransom or anyone else and that they were watching.
Patsy immediately called the police and friends after reading the note, completely ignoring the
warning. She obviously wasn t worried about this threat at all and the reason why is because she
knew there wasn t one since she wrote the note. Also, handwriting analysts say the note easily
could have been written by Patsy. Not to mention that the paper and pen and a rough draft of the
note were found in their home. If someone was in a rush when kidnapping a child they would
have a pre written note and definitly would not take the time to write more than one draft of a
note. Another point to be made is that the amount asked for was the exact amount of John Ramsey
s bonus that only his family and people from his company would know about. So either they were

Death Coverage In The Military
The media wants to take on death coverage in the military. Death is a very newsworthy story
despite its obscenity and gruesomeness. Death is the tragedy most Americans, without family in the
military, will never truly understand but can somewhat feel bi curiously through the coverage on a
screen. Although many Americans trust in the media to cover all news, after death coverage in
previous wars military war support has been lost due to the high death tolls. And in other
circumstances, Americans have been misguided and turned biased because of war death censorship
by the government. Should the media cover the death soldiers every time a solider dies? There are
many families who say absolutely not and are content with the anti media death... Show more

However, the impact of war in the lives of those who ve lost a loved one is something both sides
can agree on. The very touching documentary called Families Share Soldier s Last Letters Home
by Bill Couturi was shortly previewed on NPS live by Michelle Norris. The families feel that
America is anesthetized to their pain, like they don t feel the depths of their grief and the pain
this war is causing. The fact that I was doing this and helping their loved ones be remembered
was what exactly what they wanted. said Bill Couturi about his film. This is great death
coverage because now days most people are desensitized to death since it is happening
everywhere at all times, in movies, video games and real life. This allows us to understand and
bring back the honor of the soldiers and the emotion associated with their death. There was no
political motive or bias to this documentary, it was just documenting families reading the last letters
of their passed loved ones and all the sadness that came along with

A Literary And Historical Standpoint
Although it is practical from a literary and historical standpoint, object driven analyses of
Shakespeare s First Folio fail to account for, as Brown says, the story of the object asserting itself
as a thing. By treating the First Folio as only a book meant to be read for information these
analyses let it stagnate in a subject object binary which leads us to falsely believe that the subject
creates knowledge from the object. Or as Brown says, we are stuck viewing the object as a code
by which our interpretive attention makes them meaningful (Brown 4). This line of thinking is
problematic because the object then lacks agency. When the object transitions to a thing, the
binary no longer applies and we can see that it has knowledge with or without a subject involved.
Additionally, this shift out of the binary allows for the thing to become its own subject. If, as
Baudrillard believes it is the subject that totalizes the world (qtd in Brown) then this implies that the
thing is not merely passively impacted by the world but actively impacts the world with its presence.
However, only viewing the First Folio as a thing in opposition to an object also limits our study of
it. Instead, I propose that we should examine the story of an object becoming a thing. Before I
further my argument I want to take a moment to fully examine the difference between an object and
a thing and why current scholarship has failed to acknowledge the importance of the First Folio
becoming a thing.

The Integration Of The European Union
Modern culture commonly exceeds the boundaries of individual nation states through processes
such as globalisation, improvement in technologies and the rise in free trade; leading to the concept
of transnationalism (Waldinger, 2013). Transnationalism involves interactions linking people or
institutions across the borders of many nation states (Crang et al, 2003). Transnationalism is
intrinsically linked to mobility; mobility is the ongoing and continuous cross border movements in
which people develop and maintain economic, social and cultural links in more than one nation,
mobility (this sentence is too long but I m not sure how to change it so it still makes sense)
facilitates transnationalism with enables Europeanisation (Ernste, 2009).... Show more content on

As a result, integration allows Europe to increase their economic output, because as Hansen and
Jonsson (2014) argue West Europe lacks the natural resources necessary to become a viable
economic power to compete globally. The Schengen agreement of 1995 therefore facilitates trade,
transnationalism and Europeanisation because it enables workers, particularly lorry drivers, to
move easily across the continent.
Medrano (2012) argues that integration processes are difficult because of the diversity within the
EU, the rise of Euroscepticism, and the shift in the balance of power of national institutions from
domestic parliaments to a European parliament. Fligstein (2012) mentions that in 2004 only 3.9 per
cent of people who lived in Europe viewed themselves as European, this is very damning in
suggesting that the processes of EU integration have failed because no one identifies themselves as
European. Raunio (2011) also echoes this sentiment; he comments that national governments are the
gatekeepers of EU integration; however, the consistent enlargement of the EU has made this task
more difficult, leading to the conclusion that integration has resulted in the loss of control that
domestic governments have over their decisions

The Impacts of Crohn s Disease on Daily Life
Although people may believe that disease comes from germs and viruses around them, but with
Crohn s disease that is not the case. Crohn s is an inflammatory bowel disease that affects the

The Consequences of Continued Use of Nuclear Power Plants...
The Consequences of Continued Use of Nuclear Power Plants in the USA
Introduction
According to the most conservative estimates, century energy consumption will double in the
world by the middle of the 21th century (Beretta). It will happen as a result of the population
growth and other geopolitical and economic factors. Thus, the electricity will be required in order
to receive a sustainable development of fuel hydrogen, and provide people with fresh water.
Despite the recent tragic events in Japan and a splash of public distrust to the peaceful atom ,
nuclear power continues to be one of the most promising areas. Demand for electricity, which is
growing along with the development of the world economy, requires the construction of new ...

9). Usually receiving the nuclear energy requires a nuclear chain reaction of nuclear fission of
uranium 235 or plutonium. Kernels start dividing after hit by a neutron. It provides new neutrons
and fission fragments. Neutrons and fission fragments have a high kinetic energy. Because of
collisions with other atoms fragments, the kinetic energy transforms into heat. Nuclear fusion is
another way to release nuclear energy. Two nuclei of light elements combine in one grave. Such
processes occur on the Sun. Many atomic nuclei are unstable. Over time, some of these nuclei
spontaneously convert into other nuclei, releasing energy. This phenomenon is called a radioactive
decay. Nuclear energy is produced in nuclear power plants, used in nuclear powered icebreakers
and nuclear submarines. The United States is running a program for developing nuclear engine for
spacecraft. Nuclear energetics is an energy sector, which is engaged in the production of electricity
and heat by converting nuclear energy.
Factors of the Development of Nuclear Energy
The first industrial nuclear power plant with capacity of 5 MW was put into operation in the
USSR (the city of Obninsk) in 1954 (World Energy Council 7). Advanced industrial countries
began to design and build nuclear power plants with reactors of different types. By 1964, the total
capacity of nuclear power plants rose to 5 million kW in the world.

Kate and Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew
An exploration of the way Shakespeare presents the characters and relationships of Kate and
Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew.
The relationship between Kate and Petruchio is central to the development of The Taming of the
Shrew, as both characters clearly represent and are centrally involved in the main theme of the play,
the taming of the shrew , Kate.
The audience is first introduced to Kate by other characters opinions of her, such rather than from
Kate herself. Language such as Gremio s,
she s too rough for me, and Hotensio s, Unless you were of gentler milder mould, gives Kate her
reputation as a shrewish character.
When Kate first speaks, she speaks rudely, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kate is equal to Petruchio linguistically which also displays an aspect of her character, that she
feels that she is easily the equal of any man.
During their first exchange, Petruchio immediately sets about Kate, that he will, woo her with
some spirit when she comes, and that he will describe her as the opposite of everything she is in
order to confuse her and break her down. In Petruchio s first exchange with
Kate, it is clearly he who comes off better, immediately setting about her with short witty lines, and
puns, for dainties are all Kates.
This gives the effect if making Petruchio seem very confident and sure of himself, if he begins his
taming with such good humour and interest. In contrast to this, Kate is very angry and frustrated
by the Petruchio, and immediately becomes shrewish, resorting to insults, A joint stool, and
violence. This gives the effect of Kate being much less in control of what is going on, and
perhaps reflects the direction their relationship is going to take, that Petruchio will be the one in
charge, and Kate will not have any control. This could however also demonstrate Kate s
intelligence and wit, that she is able to keep up and match Petruchio s wordplay. However Kate
feels the need to resort to violence, again demonstrating Petruchio s intelligent wordplay and calm
attitude, as he does not react violently towards
Kate, but simply

Addiction Is Not Necessary An Addiction
A study was conducted by Caroline Davis in 2014, in which she suggests, that food addiction, is
not necessary an addiction. Unlike other addictions like tobacco, gambling and drugs, food in
required for the human body to survive, where the other types are a pleasure centre for the brain in
affect, and is not necessary for humanto survive.
An addiction is in which the brain responds to a stimulus, or multiple stimuli, that triggers a respond
to the brain, and releases, dopamine to the person creating a reward system to the user, thus
increasing the mood of the person. Therefore, allowing the brain to learn by teaching it to
respond to increased levels of dopamine, by the stimulus (pp.131). For example, the more a
person gambles and wins, the better they feel. Even so, there is a low point for people that
gamble or takes drugs, but the need for that persons is to increase their chances of winning, or
getting a fix, where they could combine a mix of food, alcohol, drugs and tobacco (pp.131).
Which would make them feel good again, as once again, as dopamine is released into the system.
According to Davis (2014) that food should not be thought of as addictive, as food is essential
for human survival and with a proper diet with all the vitamins and mineral that the body require
humans can live a healthy life (pp. 129). But even so food can be addictive as the process foods
have many compounds added to everyday foods that rewards the brain for eating it, therefore, a

Compare and contrast the extent to which both novels comment and criticise on the societies
which they are set in. We are introduced to both novels in the 1920s elite society where both
authors; Waugh and Fitzgerald are from an upper class society. Fitzgerald cultivates the character
Jay Gatsby who we perceive purely from Nick who is an onlooker throughout the novella. Readers

Factual imitation of some Hotel de Ville in Normandy Gatsby s house is evidence to the upper class
fetishes to grand belongings in order to show their wealth. A Marxist critic might view this as
those who are on the top of the social ladder cease to see those at the bottom and become blinded
by wealth. Fitzgerald is criticising society in the sense that the elite are solely dependant on
their money despite them being miserable and this could refer to the saying money doesn t by
happiness which is very true to such cases as Gatsby s. Nicks statement is ironic since Gatsby s

Ruth And Babe Ruth
Many would say baseball, America s pastime, is dead; furthermore, there are those who say that
the professional athletes are no longer our role models. Athletes are said to have no respect,
dignity, or love for the game. The critics who state that, have never been to a Major League Baseball
stadium. Yankee Stadium, where an entire organization reminds you from the moment you step in
the park that there still are those things in every single game played by each team. Not only is the
sport alive and well, but honor, love, respect, and dignity are exemplified through all competitive
teams.
Baseball use to be one of the best games to play and watch as Americans. Being one of the first
professional sports, it represented who we are as a country. Through baseball, it showed the honor
and respect athletes and fans have for this country. However, this sport seems to be gradually
disappearing to something athletes got paid to do; though, throughout baseball s long life, there are
many athletes who still care about the game. All the way from the early 1900s, with Babe Ruth or
Lou Gehrig, to the more present times, with Jose Fernandez, David Ortiz, or Derek Jeter, they
bring back the deceased game and put meaning into it, making it the most enjoyable it has ever
been.

that meant so much more? As a young adult today, I am now cognizant of Dr. Seusshidden agenda
and vow to implore this man s exertions of bringing awareness to the problems America was facing

can. I have ordered all Yooks to stay safe underground while the Bitsy Big Boy Boomeroo is

is getting, yet they refuse to back down. In addition, in the last stanza, old Vanltch is saying, I ll
blow you into pork and wee beans! I ll butter side up you to small smithereens! emphasizing just
how strong his weapon was and that the Yooks should be afraid, very afraid. It may seem as
though Seuss is being a wee bit dramatic, but he is only delivering the cold, hard truth that a
situation like this was happening in the real world (the Nuclear Arms Race) and that we should all
take notice and try to appease it.
In the story, the nephew accompanies his grandfather to the wall in order to witness the ordeal
and the grandfather even thinks it s a good idea because this way he can witness history in the
making although neither may live to tell the story. Dr. Seuss was delivering another symbol of
how both Russia and the United States were not thinking of the safety of their own people if one
country was to drop their bomb on the other. Their only form of protection was to retaliate with
their own bomb.

The Movement Of Patient s Between Healthcare Settings And...
Movement of patient s between healthcare settings or even within a single healthcare setting is
recognized as a transition of care. Because of the number of transitions of care that occur during an
episode of care and the opportunity for communication breakdowns at each transition point,
patients are at increased risk for poor outcomes. Along with communication breakdowns, lack of
understanding over diagnoses, medication regimens, self care and follow up instructions are also
associated with poor transitions of care. As a result, poor transitions of care have been associated
with readmissions occurring within 30 days of discharge. Readmissions for certain chronic illness,

American s are also much more likely to suffer with one or more often preventable chronic

Understanding Technology in Neuromancer
Understanding Technology in Neuromancer Neuromancer, written by William Gibson in 1984, is a
novel well ahead of its time. The book predicted many concepts about the internet and cyberspace
that exist today. Neuromancer, of the prophetic genre, is a novel that accurately describes and
predicts what will happen in the future. Characteristics of the prophetic novel include: dystopian
societies, technologies, and progressive thinking. Neuromancer is considered a prophetic novel
because it contains many aspects distinct to its genre, such as unique characters, futuristic settings,
introspective themes, complex plots, dark atmospheres, and resistant tones. Although the prophetic
genre may not appeal to everyone, it certainly is a genre with fresh ideas and innovative thinking.
Characters The characters of Neuromancer are very unusual and diverse. Henry Dorsett Case is the
computer hacking, drug abusing protagonist of the novel. He is always in danger of something,

data from their computers. They then punish him by crippling his nervous system and taking his
hacking talent from his brain so he can t go into cyberspace. He then turns to methamphetamine,

Coming Out By Heiner Carow
Within German cinema, one can identify a particular type of films taking place in, and
thematizing issues of, the former East German state. Given the undemocratic nature of the GDR,
these films are particularly suited to discuss the way that people react to a status quo: whether
by accepting it and conforming to it, or by rejecting and subverting it in various ways. These
different options appear in the two films analysed in this essay. Coming Out (1989) by Heiner
Carow was filmed in the GDR, and charts a gay man s process of acceptance of himself. The Lives
of Others(2006) by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck looks back at the GDR s past, and more
specifically at the actions of the Stasi. Its plot, set in 1984, follows a Stasi agent s conversion to
political subversion and to being a good man . First, this essay will examine the representation of
acceptance of the status quo in these films, before turning to the portrayal of subversion. Lastly, it
will highlight some of the negative aspects of the subversion depicted such aspects being
introduced either in a conscious and critical way, or not.
First, acceptance of the status quo occurs in its internalization by the characters. At this stage, they
do not question the rules of the society in which they live. Thus, in Coming Out, Philipp tries to fit
into the dominant heterosexual model by settling into domestic life with his fiancГ©e, because he
has internalized homophobia, having lived in a heterosexist society all

Creationists Proof Of Evolution
Creationists Proof of an Omnipotent Creator vs. Evolutionists Proof of Evolution
Over the past 160 years, the world views of Creationists and Evolutionists have debated against
each other in a struggle to claim ultimate victory over the other ( Carbon Dating. An
Encyclopedia). The struggle over the same evidence and the same proof that both sides say
support their claim is endless. Overall, it comes to which side is the most reasonable and the most
believable. Evolutionists say the universe, earth and its species have evolved over millions of
years. Creationists say that the universe, the earth and its species were created by an omnipotent
Creator (Birx. Darwin, Charles. Encyclopedia of Time). Creationism at one point in our society was
the only solution we had for life around us. It is centered on God as the creator of everything.
However on November 24, 1859 a naturalist by the name of Charles Darwin Published The Book of
Origins, which suggested that man evolved from a creature over millions of years (Darwin,
Charles. Encyclopedia of Time). He called this idea evolution. With these two different worldviews

A Day At Merritt Reservoir
Have you ever smelled 4 day old moldy tube socks that have been soaked in lake water and left
under a bed? As a cabin keeper at Merritt Reservoir I had many bizarre encounters in a mere three
month summer break. Imagine walking into the crammed bait shop on a crisp summer morning.
You clock in for the day and gather all the supplies needed to get the job done. These supplies may
range from the typical cleaning utensils such as rags and window cleaner, extra toiletpaper and
towels, Febreeze, and rubber gloves for sticky situations. However, you also must be sure to
grab mousetraps, a bible, and a strange device that consists of a hook on a long wooden rod. You
will soon learn what these items are for, and how handy they can be throughout the day ahead.
The ongoing task of the day is to heave your massive cleaning cart up and down the slopping old
concrete walkways leading to each cabin. This monster is convenient since it carries all of your
items and you have them handy all at once, but can be a workout on a long day. When cleaning
cabins, you do not have a set amount of hours to look forward to finishing. Every day, you are
given a set amount of cabins, which can vary depending on how busy the lake is. You must
complete that set amount throughout the day, regardless of how fast or slow you work. The first
cabin of the day houses a family of 4 who must rarely rough it in the woods. They have requested
every day this week to be the first to get cleaned out in the

Dionysian. This greek essence of the gods are discussed in terms of their nature and what they
represent in terms of art and culture. He talks about the rebirth of tragedy and links music to it. In
greek mythology, Apollonian and Dionysian are sons of Zeus who has different views and
characteristics. Apollonian is calm and collective while Dionysian is chaotic and disorganized.
Dionysian is considered a sensual god who is more associated with contradictions, fire, frenzy, etc.
Whereas, Apollonian is about light, eloquence and morality. This clearly shows that their views

Individuality In The Giver
The theme conveyed through the Giver is that individuality should be valued. The story takes
place in a utopian society where everything is the same. There are no choices, no color, and no

Twelve, where the 12 year olds each get assigned a job. Jonas gets the assignment of the Receiver
of Memory, and he soon finds out that lying is permitted, and receives several memories of the
past without sameness, with pain too. He has the ability to see beyond, and finds out that he and

Machiavelli as a Humanist
A humanist is defined as one who is concerned with the interests and welfare of humans. Niccolo
Machiavelli can be thought of as a humanist. Although opinions on this differ greatly depending
on whom you speak with. Machiavelli s life consists of so many examples and lessons that he
has learned throughout his life. Through my paper, I intend to examine his perception of
morality based on his political writings and life experiences. Niccolo Machiavelli was born on
May 3, 1469 and died in 1527. Although we do not know much about his early life, we know that
he was educated according to the humanist ideals of the Renaissance. He was trained at an early
age by a latin teacher named Paolo da Ronciglione. He spent his youth in the... Show more content

He used the term virtu in his book The Art of War which is a dialogue on military affairs. It
describes the great ability of a general who is able to adapt to various battlefield conditions as
they present themselves. It is said that the most vilified of political thinkers is also the one of
whom it has been said that he concentrated all his real and supreme values in what he called virtu
. 6 What he meant by this was that a prince would have to develop a different psychology than
what he is used to. The new prince is prepared to vary his conduct as the winds of fortune and
changing circumstances constrain him and not deviate from the right conduct if possible, but
be should be capable of entering upon a path of wrong doing when it becomes necessary . 7
Some ninety years ago Villari said that Machiavelli always use the word virtue in the sense of
courage and energy both for good and evil. To Christian virtue in its more general meaning, he
rather applied the term goodness, and felt much less admiration for it than for the pagan virtue
that was always fruitful of glory. 2 Although the political life of Niccolo Machiavelli is quite
interesting when analyzing his views on government and religion, his personal life and experiences
were equally a representation of him as a humanist. He was described by some as never offensive

Essay On The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari
When one thinks of Germany, he or she would most likely think of Nazi propaganda, Hitler, and
concentration camps. Although these depictions of Germany may be true, they are relatively
closed minded because they only depict a single, relatively dark time period in Germany s history
called the Third Reich. The time periods which portray Germanyfrom the twentieth century to
present day are quite diverse, and German films respective to each time period reflect that diversity.
The time periods include the Weimar Republic, the Third Reich, Germany during the Cold War
, and
Germany post Cold War. Therefore, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari portrays Germany s Weimar

The German mark lost almost all of its value due to inflation, the debt Germany owed to Allied
Powers increased exponentially, and Germany had to liquidate its military. Even though
Germany was falling apart in the year 1919, there was still hope as it miraculously birthed the
Weimar Republic, which lasted until 1933. During this time period, the true state of its people
and country were portrayed through film. One of the most iconic films of the Weimar Republic,
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, was released in 1919. This mysterious, yet incredibly confusing film
embodied the anxiety and uncertainty felt by German citizens during the Weimar Republic.
Specifically anxiety related to current and future chaos, and uncertainty related to sanity. In The
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the protagonist Francis narrates a past experience of his in which he
ends up wrongfully locked up in a psychiatric ward. In this past experience, a man introduced as
the somnambulist Dr. Caligari controlled a man named Cesare, and had Cesare kill people of
his choosing. Trying to expose Dr. Caligari s acts, Francis ends up being locked up in a
psychiatric ward. What is odd is that Dr. Caligari is then shown as the doctor running the
psychiatric ward, trying to help Francis with his condition. The duality of Dr. Caligari symbolized
uncertainty and chaos experienced by Germans after World War I. Like the audience of the film,
Germans questioned who was or was not sane. Would the search for and desire and control by an
authoritative figure, like Dr. Caligari, remove the chaos Germans felt? Or, would that control lead
to worse chaos in the

being of low ability now, in the present, is assumed to have more limited learning potential than
those who may be judged to be more able , says Claire Taylor. Does this mean that students who
could be exemplary at things such as therapy, math, reading, or S.T.E.M., could potentially be
overlooked, simply because they don t have the right environment to stretch their legs and prove
their potential?
I feel like I have the ability to do a lot of things, but the way the school system is set up, I also feel
like I m unable to present my real abilities, Says Skylar Gold of Omaha Middle School. It
probably doesn t help that students who are lucky enough to be in programs such as Algebra, or

I think that Julie will have more difficulty with the consonants because they are mostly found in
higher pitch areas of the speech banana. They also are softer being found on the lower decibel
range. Both of these areas are difficult areas for Julie to perceive those speech sounds.
3. Do you think that the home situation of the child has much influence on the child s speech

know about them?
Family involvement and influence is one of the top reasons for a child to either struggle or excel
with language and communication. From what I read there is a lack of support in the home. This
is mostly because of the age and condition of the hearing aids.
It is frequently found that a child with mild to moderate hearing loss such as Julie, can struggle
even more than a child with severe to profound hearing loss. This is because a child with mild to
moderate hearing loss is denied assistance or lacks proper diagnosis due to their ability to
understand some of the time. In Julie s case it is possible that the low IQ diagnosis was daunting to

Sustainability Reporting Essay
As a newly established area in accounting, sustainability accounting and reporting extends the
traditional model of financial and non financial reporting to incorporate the company s operational
information, social and environmental activities, and their ability to deal with related risks. Not
only do these acts have effects on society and the environment, but they also directly impact
company s financial statements. The most widely accepted definition of sustainabilitythat has
emerged over time is the triple bottom line , which incorporates three key elements of performance:
financial, social, and environmental viability (Slaper). These three aspects of sustainability
reporting are also commonly referred to as the triple P s: people, planet, and profit. Although
sustainability has often been mentioned as the goal of many businesses, nonprofits and
governments over the past decade (and studies have shown that an increasing number of companies
and organizations are striving to make their operations more sustainable), determining how
sustainable an organization is can become difficult and also raises many questions within this sub
group of accounting.
Sustainability reporting has become increasingly prevalent in organizations of all types and sizes. A
company or organization s sustainability report is a published report that details the economic,
environmental and social impacts that are a direct result of their daily activities. These reports also

Iran s Foreign Policy since the Early 1990 s
1 INTRODUCTION
This essay will broadly discuss Iran s foreign policy since the early 1990 s. First in order to
understand the foreign policy of Iran, the historical background of Iran s foreign policy will be
discussed. Followed by the foreign policy principles, foreign policy principles assist in shaping the
country s foreign policy and its relationship with other countries. After the post Iraq invasion Iran
saw the security void as an opportunity to reshape Iraq in order to prevent it from re emerging as
a strategic threat, although its operation of Iraq s freedom resulted to high levels of insecurity
mainly because other countries failed to see Iraq as a regionally powerful country. Iran s foreign
policy aims and roots are not only mainly pragmatic; they are defensive and based on state
orientated strategic issues.
The research continues to broadly discuss Iran s Foreign policy through the following heading
which is Iran s foreign policy principles, Iran s first revolution, the second revolution, approaches
of the Islamic Revolution, Iran s foreign policy in the light of the Arab revolts and lastly Iran s
foreign policy towards United States. It concludes that despite the fact that Iran has been playing a
major role, it has only accomplished mixed results at best. The following two keys have been
limiting Iran s foreign policy which is because of its contradictory strategies that substantially
contributed. Firstly Iraq s bitterness towards Tehran s interference and

Teenagers And The Young Adult Chart
Teenagers are the most perceptive individuals in every society they are just learning and
experiencing the real world without yet developing the mask and filter of adults; they see things
how they are, and they say things the way they are. They still have the innate curiosity of children
without the apathy that seems so rampant among those who actually have the power to change.
This is why it is so important to know how teenagers view the world, because they will be making
up the world in a few decades. There is no better way to know how they think than by examining
the literature they read.
Over the past few years, dystopian novels have topped the young adult charts. It is easy to just
write off the similarities between teenage aimed novels as just a standard story writing formula
for making money. However, by looking deeper into what these similarities really mean, we can
learn that these stories are similar for very important reasons. As Utopian scholar Lyman Tower
Sargent s states, It is particularly important that we understand the dreams and nightmares that are
directed at children and young adults (Hintz Ostry, 234). First, we need to take a look at what
dystopian fictions are, by definition. According to Aristotle, author of the Poetics, all forms of art
perform mimesis. Epic poetry and tragedy, as also comedy, dithyrambic poetry, and most pipe
playing and lyre playing, are all, viewed as a whole, modes of imitation (Aristotle) This concept of

The Salute Seen Around the World For nearly as long as humans have been around, some form of
athletic competition has also existed. Dating back to the ancient Romans, people would travel from
all around to see their men compete. Since 1894, the International Olympic Committee has
organized the worldwide event we know as the modern Olympic Games. The games have for a long
time been a center point of many protests, revolving around the current events and arguments of the
time. American sprinters Tommie Smithand John Carlos created one of the most iconic and socially
important Olympic protests at the 1968 Summer Games, when they raised their fists up while
giving the Black Panther salute on the podium. A gesture that has been celebrated, criticized, and

The Olympic Games are one of the most followed events in the world. As the games grew in

these protests became more recognizable. The Olympics create an international platform with one
of the largest viewing audiences of any TV event, making it very easy to send ones message to

beyond Aeneas to the long history that followed from him: and that was the origin of the Latin
nation, the Lords of Alba, and the proud battlements of Rome (I, 6 7). Soon after wards, when he
has noted the obstacles that the Trojans meet in their wanderings, he again ends a period in the
similar note: Such was the cost in heavy toil of beginning the life of Rome (I, 33). Once again,
when Venus complains that her son Aeneas is unjustly treated, Jupiter replies not only by
promising that all will be well for Aeneas but by giving a prophetic sketch of Roman history to
Julius Caesar. This reward, which the ancestor is to receive, is much more than his own success or
glory, more even than his settlement in Italy. It is the assurance of the Roman destiny, of universal

dominion, and it has no end (I, 278 79). As we can see, at the outset Vergilius shows what kind of
destiny is the subject of his poem. The wanderings, sufferings and ultimate success of Aeneas and
his followers are but a preliminary and preparation for a greater theme. Secondly, there is different

Conflict Theory Explicates Gregarious Life
Conflict theory is in essence an intricate system with imbalance, which results in conflict that can
leave to gregarious change. It explicates gregarious life through understanding convivial processes
as the result of the constant struggle between groups. In society there are inhibited resources, such
as potency, wealth, edification, and prestige, as a result people vie for those resources for survival
and to amend their position in society. As verbalized by McQueeney (2011) according to conflict

The Four Gospels Research Paper
The Four Gospels Reflection Paper I believe it was important to have the word from the four
Gospels. Each Gospel highlighted different events of Jesus life. Matthew portrays Jesus as the son
of David and is mostly speaking to the Jews. Mark shows Jesus as the son of Man and starts with
the beginning of His ministry. Luke tells about Jesuslife from birth all the way to His death and
ascension. Finally, John writes as an eyewitness of Jesus life and shows Him as the Son of God.
Without having the four Gospels, we wouldn t have a true picture of Jesus life. The Gospelof

Analysis Of Pygmalion And Stoppard s Arcadia
Although all education is interrelated and can improve one s quality of life, it is up to him or her
to utilize the knowledge to improve their life in both Shaw s Pygmalion and Stoppard s Arcadia,
but differs in the motive seeking education, where one is to improve one s social class and life and
another is due to curiosity and fascination, respectively. In both texts, knowledge and education
advanced the character s life quality to a certain limit. In Pygmalion, Eliza, a girl with no manners
who seemingly lives on the streets seeks education in the means of language and manners in order
to sell flowers at a flower shop. In Arcadia, Thomasina, on the other hand, seeks education in the
pursuit of curiosity. Both texts depict knowledge as a passageway for a betterlife but then show that
it is how one utilizes the education and knowledge that determines one s quality and satisfaction
with life.
Education in Pygmalion is depicted as a stepping stone into a better life, but it is how one puts one
s knowledge to use that determines their satisfaction with life. The main message of Pygmalion is
appearances can be deceiving. Higgins, a high middle class man who studies phonetics the science
of speech with a proper education, conveys a persona of being cold, stern, proper, conventional, and
intellectual. Eliza, on the other hand, grew up on the streets, which resulted in her hideous accent.

Character Analysis Of Irresponsible Dale In Striking Out
Alcoholic, Irresponsible, and manipulative. These traits are of Dale who was a large influence,
but a bad one at that. These traits unfortunately reflect on the other characters within the book
Striking out by Will Weaver. In this book the main characters including Billy Baggs, Heather,
and Gina are all poorly influenced by a antagonistic person, Dale Schwartz, who was not once a
good influence to anyone within the story. Firstly Dale is being his irresponsible self who never
thinks of the consequences of his actions before he does any of them throughout the story. For
example Dale gives minors alcohol without thinking of the consequences. Now, to show just how
foolish he is, when he gives Dany alcohol he then says; I don t know what gets... Show more content

For example when Dale wants to meet at midnight (which they all do for some reason) he
manipulates Heather and threatens her to make her lie about who raped her when he says, Later

voice sounded funny, like she wasn t herself now . That last quote just goes to show how much
of a poor influence Dale was and how manipulated children to lie for him. After that dale then
threatens children with his rifle and is even condescending to them when he says; You ain t gonna
get away with this, Billy said! With what? Dale said. Nobody seems to know just what it it we re
talking about. Just what is this? (269). After that he then threatens children to cover up for his own
mistakes instead of taking responsibility for his own mistakes. Additionally to dig his grave a little

Drug Testing and Legalization of Marijuana
For over a century the legalization of medical marijuana in the United States has been a growing
controversy. Washington and Colorado are the two recent states that have legalized the use of
marijuana for recreational uses. In contrast, others in federal positions believe the use of
marijuana has no beneficial use to it which creates a struggle into its legalization. Marijuana is
classified as a Schedule 1 drug believed to be dangerous and highly addictive, also thought to be a
gateway drug leading to a dark path of drug abuse. Most of these poor assumptions are supported
and investigated to be incorrect by many researchers and first hand users. The strict drug laws
around the United States have made tests of marijuana s effectiveness... Show more content on

In one case a young lady got approval from her doctor to use marijuana to treat her asthma. As the
years past she noticed a decrease in her asthma attacks and relief in her symptoms. As a result
smoking low doses of cannabis almost completely cured this young lady s case of asthma.
Marijuana has been used for thousands of years to treat many conditions and has never caused a
single human death. The 1999 institute of medicine proved that it did not in any part reach the
legal definition of a schedule 1 drug the US law put it under. The institute of medicine
established that marijuana has positive medical benefits in a variation of illnesses and has a
lower chance for drug abuse than alcohol and tobacco which have a higher rate of being a
gateway drug used by minors. In 1988 the Drug enforcement administration also started to
investigate the medical uses of marijuana. As a result the DEA discovered that there are positive
medical uses for marijuana and was uncovered to be one of the safest substances known to man
DEA Administrative Law Judge Francis Young said during a two year hearing on marijuana for
medical use. Soon after the facts about the acceptable medical uses of marijuana were noted it
started to attention publicly, increasing its popularity and supporters quickly.

Adults are motivated entirely different in the way they learn. Adults are motivated to learn for
various reasons such as professional development, potential advancement at work or simply
continuing to improve ones lives, as one gets older. However, it is but practical to consider the
ideas on how adults are motivated to learn, what principles of learningworks, so that adult
educators could likewise respond appropriately. The participatory worldview that author Lyle
Yorks (2005) describes draws heavily on the theory and practice in adult learning and action
research. This creates a kind of social space in organization that is important in the facilitation of a

Providing renewed hope in the face of adversities and depressing events that may otherwise cause
individuals to descend into the negative behavior. Brookfield (2005) addressed the third aspect of
adult learning as transformative. Adult learners are exposed to learning in the workplace. Within
the workplace, adult workers learn to be critical in analyzing their assumptions regarding the
structure business model before reaching a decision that may affect a company s performance.
They view this in conjunction with market realities before arriving at decision that may make or
break the company. For society in general, this suggest that lifelong learning is obtained as the
main strategy in ensuring the future abundance of countries such as the UK since it ensures its
vision to build a new culture of learning (Boshier, 2006, p.11). This new culture of learning can
involve online learning which is very useful in the adult learning process. It is important to help
students become technically savvy in our classrooms. What people know about online learners may
not be properly addressed through one s teaching so that educators need to collaborate so that they
can share contemporary researches on the subject (Martinez, 2010, p. 353). In Conclusion,
motivation theories formed the cornerstone of adult learning. Indeed, technology is here to stay and
it has become part of the education environment. Technology provides a surrounding where

Acana Research Paper
According to an overview of Acana dog food reviews, Acana dog food is a top quality food for
dogs manufactured by Champion Pet Foods in Canada. This is the same company that makes
Orijen dog food, another top quality dog food which is often claimed to be one of the very best of
all dog foods by experts. Acana is similar in many ways to Orijen although, unlike Orijen, it usually
has a somewhat lower protein percentage, though still higher than most dogfoods. Both brands
contain lots of meatingredients.
Champion Pet Foods
Champion Pet Foods is located in Alberta, Canada. According to their web site they are family
owned and operated and have been making pet food for 25 years. Acana is sold in 45 countries and

Tonic herbs include chicory, burdock root, stinging nettle, milk thistle, sweet fennel and chamomile,
among others. As you might expect, Acana is higher in protein than most dog foods. It s not
unusual for their foods to be 65 percent protein. Acana dog foods are typically preservative free.
Negatives
With so much meat protein, Acana also costs more than most dog foods. A 15.4 pound bag of
Acana Ranchlands Grain Free dry dog food is $42.99 on one web site. Acana can also be hard to
find in the United States since it is a Canadian food.
Your local pet store may not carry it. It is definitely a boutique food. However, you can usually buy
it from the pet food delivery sites, as long as you are willing to pay the delivery charges. This will
further increase the cost of the food.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a great dog food that focuses on high meat protein and low carbs, then you
probably can t do much better than Acana. It has the very highest quality ingredients which are
almost all locally raised and the food is preservative free. This is an outstanding food but it is quite

The Wife Of Bath Research Paper
The rights and freedom of women during the Chaucerian times were quite limited. The role of
women during this time was to keep house and be a faithful wife. Men were given the luxury of
leaving the house to work in the daytime and to socialize with their friends in the evening. The
possibility of violence was present should a womanthreaten her husband s authority. The Wifeof

would be looked down upon, and they would be seen as rebellious. She is a justified rebel. The

A Review of Thornton Wilder s Play Our Town
Thornton Wilder s play Our Town provides audiences with a glimpse into the lives of people
inhabiting the small town of Grover s Corners. People in this town are relatively simple
individuals and the first two acts actually emphasize the stability there by showing how
individuals are inclined to connect to each other as if they were part of a larger family. Wilder
makes it possible for audiences to gain a more complex understanding concerning how people in a
small townfeel with regard to each other. These individuals consider that it would be perfectly
normal for them to accept their neighbors and prefer to keep matters as they are, taking into account
that they generally seem reluctant to support the idea of change.
The stage manager in the play is meant to highlight the constant nature of things in Gover s
Corners. We all know that something is eternal. And it ain t houses and it ain t names, and it ain t
earth, and it ain t even the stars . . . everybody knows in their bones that something is eternal, and
that something has to do with human beings. (Stage Manager Wilder) This plays an important
role in having audiences understand the unity present in this particular town. Even though George
and Emily are going to marry and even though Joe is going to be killed in France during the First
World War, the town of Grover s Corners is going to preserve most of its values and local people
are always going to feel that there is something connecting them.

Irish in America Essay
Irish in America
America is a melting pot of different cultures, religions, ideas and identities, a country which over
the years has been molded, shaped and changed by its people. There are many historical factors that
gone into creating the country as we know it today, but none so influential as the immigration of
millions to the land of opportunity . The millions of people who came to the United States in hopes
of finding a better life greatly affected the course of American history, bring the the country new
cultures, customs and beliefs . Irish Catholic immigrants, . . . the first great ethnic minority in
American cities, (1) had a substantial influence on the industrialization, labor movement and
politics of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They had no money to push West and did not have the knowledge and skill to undertake large
scale farming in the South.(6) Settling in the urban areas caused great crowding of the cities.
The native inhabitants quickly chose to move out of the neighborhoods newly settled by Irish
immigrants.(7) Their movement was influenced by the poverty of the newcomers; they did not
want to live amongst the immigrant s squalor. However, the Irish took this unwelcoming
behavior in stride, they, . . . had a sense of identity and cohesion as a people oppressed by
foreigners in their native land, (8) which helped them to stay together during the rough transition
to American life. Irish Catholics lived in the slums, often cramming 4 families into a 1 family
apartment. Although the basement, attic and tar paper urban dwellings were bleak and
depressing, at least American cities provided the company of their own misery sharing people.
(9) Irish Catholics depended greatly on their community and so it was a great relief to have
support groups in their new home, even if the quality of life was extremely low. The streets were
full of garbage and raw sewage flowed through open trenches. Disease was rampant, as were rats
and mice. Concentrated almost exclusively in Irish neighborhoods, cholera swept through Boston,
along with tuberculosis and typhoid.(10) Life expectancy was 40, but many did not even live to be
that old.(11) Irish neighborhoods, such as, Hells

Raunch Culture
The issue of sexuality in advertising has been raised in the last ten years (Brooke, 2010; Bradley,
2007; Phillips, 2005; Kent, 2005 Levy, 2005), hence the concept of raunch culture raises the
question of whether women are being empowered or victimised. This essay will discuss whether
raunch culture represents a wave of new feminism, focusing on whether women s sexuality is being
celebrated in a healthy and empowering manner or preyed upon by marketings misogynistic and
exploitating image of the good life laid out in various media forms, from billboards to sex videos
to television advertisements and movies. It will also identify the role and responsibilities of
marketers in relation to the stakeholders involved. Subsequently, followed... Show more content on

Criticism of using sexuality in advertising has also noted that it promotes the objectification of
women and them in a disrespectful environment (Boddewyn, 1991). Hence, at this point when
Hilton is famous, marketers should take responsibility, as they further marketed her with an image
of a bimbotic girl (Bradely, 2007). Moreover, as Richins (1991) reports, women always make
social comparisons between the advertising models and themselves. As a result, advertising images
create negative affect and increases women s dissatisfaction with their own appearance. Since those
images are edited through the consistent usage of digital technology, these idealized images do not
portray women in a healthy manner. Indeed, these enhanced images would give these young girls
the impression that they need to be perfect , just like these fake images. According to Reist in ABC
s Gruen Session (2010), young women get the message that they need to be thin, hot and sexy just
to be acceptable in this society. Therefore, by generating the wrong perception of real beauty, the
responsibility is pushed to the marketers, as they portray women with this stereotypical body type
as acceptable. In addition, as the brand, Dove s tagline in its advertisement What happened to the
real beauty ? (Reist, 2010), marketers need not market their products in manners portraying women
as airheads. Consequently, marketers gave most consumers viewing the advertisement, the wrong
impression that

The Israeli-Palestinian Wall
The Israeli Palestinian wall that has been under construction for nearly twelve years is adding

was to put ...an end to the phenomenon of cross border Palestinian suicide bombers , and also had

The Palestinian economy, due to the route of the wall, has suffered tremendously. The
displacement of Palestinian civilians has been a major contributor to this issue. New rules and
regulations require citizens who live in the territory between the green line must apply for a series
of permits that would allow them to live, drive, and work in the zone in which they are entrapped
(Roy 34). Therefore, as Theirry Delbreuve said, ...agricultural communities were losing contact with
the land on which they depended both for their present livelihood and for their future survival
(United Nations Page 2). Palestine s economy has suffered tremendously, because Israel has made
it possible through the construction of the wall to have full control over Palestinian s resources,
such as land, water, and labor. This in turn has created Palestinian economic dependence on and
with Israel (Current History Page 32). As stated in Current History, the World Bank estimates that
it will take some 20 years for the Palestinian economy to return to where it was on the eve of the
current Intifada, as their economy has contracted by half (Page 32). Palestine s ...access to work,
food, housing, and other needed resources has been severely eroded (Current History Page 35),
having a huge economic toll on Palestine s economy, which in turn has increased tensions between

Dealing with Social Conflicts in the Military
Conflict is an inevitable whenever people whether close friends, family members, co workers or
romantic partners disagree about their perceptions, desires, ideas or values. Regardless of the
substance of the disagreement, conflict arouses strong feelings. The population s tolerance for
reinterpretation of institutional values, beliefs, norms and ethics rose significantly due to
significant changes in American social norms in the 20th Century. This tolerance, in conjunction
with a transition to the primacy of personal rights over institutional needs has resulted in a society
where the good of the many has become subordinated to the good of a few. It has been said that if
society as a whole were more like the militaryin this regard,... Show more content on

Many on each side of the issue cite the alleged physical and mental differences between males and
females, the effect of the presence of the opposite sex on the battlefield, and the traditional view of
male soldiers as arguments both for and against women being employed as soldiers under combat
situations. Since very few countries employ a fully integrated military, there are few references
available to prove or disprove the arguments. Although women are recruited to serve in the military
in most countries, only a few countries permit women to fill active combat roles.
Conflict Resolution In the early 1990s, Congress lifted the ban on women flying combat aircraft
and serving on combat ships than in January 1994, informed by the report of the Presidential
Commission on the Assignment of Women to the Armed Forces, then Secretary of Defense Les

The Sixth Sense Vs Unbreakable Research Paper
The Sixth Sense vs. Unbreakable Thrillers films are meant to keep their audience on the edge of
their seats, as the plot builds to its point of highest tension, suspense is crucial. Thrillers have
come a long way since Alfred Hitchcock directed The Lodger back in 1926. One of the most
known directors of this genrethese days is M. Night Shyamalan, who gained international
acceptance with the 1999 smash, The Sixth Sense. Since then he has produced several other films
including Unbreakable and Lady in the Water with the same symbolism and unexpected ending.
While Unbreakable is a mediocre filmat best, The Sixth Sense is significantly better due to plot,
acting and the unanticipated ending.
While both films have elements of the supernatural, The Sixth Sense corroborates itself in the
young boy s visions, and Unbreakable has a supernatural feeling with a superhero theme. In The
Sixth Sense, Cole Sear, played by Haley Joel Osment, is haunted by a dark secret which haunts and
terrifies him at the same time. When child psychologist Malcolm Crowe, played by Bruce Willis,
tries to uncover the truth about Osment s secret, the consequence is ... Show more content on

effective as The Sixth Sense s Osment, but he isn t the centerpiece of this film either.
Unbreakable rests squarely on Willis considerable charisma. Thankfully, he has the average guy

  • 2. Company Overview Of Coca Cola Company Overview Are you a Coca Cola or Pepsi person? Well I personally prefer Coca Cola. In 1886 pharmacist Dr. John S. Pemberton founded Coca Cola. He desired to create a delicious soft drink, so he conjured up a flavored syrup that might fill his desire. Pemberton then mixed the syrup with carbonated water to get a final product ready for sampling. The people who sampled his creation said that it was excellent. Frank M. Robinson is recognized for giving Pemberton s beverage the name of Coca Cola and giving the beverage its trademark. Coca Cola then received the nickname Coke for short. After inventing what has become the number one selling drink, Pemberton sold his company to numerous parties, mainly including businessmen from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Coca Cola now has a net worth that is well into the billions of dollars. What keeps Coca Cola running and growing is the constant, strategic marketing skills needed to keep any successful company at the top. Overview of Major Product Coca Cola is the cool fizzy drink on a hot day many people long for. It is one of the top products of this ever changing world. I chose Coca Cola because it is a gigantic, world renowned product. Coca Cola also has another major competitor, Pepsi. I thought it would be very interesting to see how Coca Cola tries to complete with Pepsi. Our customers include hypermarkets, supermarkets, discounters, kiosks, petrol stations, cinemas, leisure parks, hotels, restaurants and cafГ©s, among others. The customers are a core value of Coca Cola. Coca Cola tries their best to work together with customers to be the customer s first choice ( Customers, n.d.). To be the customer s first choice, Coca Cola not only has to worry about their taste. Coca Cola must focus on availability, affordability, acceptability, activation, and attitude. Being a great company with a great product goes far beyond just the product. I think that the most important attributes that Coca Cola focuses on outside of the product itself would be availability, affordability, and attitude. Customers today want something easy to access, they want to work smarter, not harder. If prices are unreasonable, that is an automatic turn ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. The Roman Province Of Dacia The Roman province of Dacia consisted of most of Romania from approximately 100 to 271 A.D. The Daco Roman was overran again and again by barbarian conquerors. Many migrants traveled to Romania. In the 5th and 6th century two major events happened. First in the 5th century, came the Huns and in the 6th century they were followed by the Avars. The Huns were a nomadic tribe whose origin is unknown but, most likely, they came from somewhere between the eastern edge of the Altai Mountains and the Caspian Sea, roughly modern Kazakhstan (Kelly, 45). The Avars were a confederation of heterogeneous (diverse or varied) people consisting of Rouran, Hephthalites, and Turkic Oghuric races who migrated to the region of the Pontic Grass Steppe (an area corresponding to modern day Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan) from Central Asia after the fall of the Asiatic Rouran Empire in 552 CE. After the Huns and Avars came the Slavs which were designates an ethnic group of people who share a long term cultural continuity and who speak a set of related languages known as the Slavic languages. After the Huns, Slavs and Avars came, Romania the slowly settled down and a feudal order was born. Around the 8 10th century, Eastern Orthodox Christianity was brought amongst the Romanians by the mastery of the Bulgarian Empire. The Hungarian empire had overruled Transylvania in or around the 11th century. By the time the 16th century rolled around, the well known Romanian principalities of Walachia and ... • 5. JonBenet Ramsey Murder Case Essay After looking over all of the evidence in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case it is clear to me that the Ramsey family murdered JonBenet. I think that Burke, her older brother, did the actually killing, but his mother in father aided in the coverup of the crime. This was the only theory that could make sense to me when considering all the suspects, especially John and Patsy Ramsey. It was obvious to me that they were involved but the only way that things truly added up were if Burke did the actual killing. First of all, it is easy to see a motive with Burke. At the time of his sister s death he was a couple of weeks away from his birthday. Burke was quiet and his sister JonBenet ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reason why I think all of this is because there is no real signs of an intruder. There is a scuff mark by the basement window but it would be very hard for anyone to get through that window. Then there was the ransom note. If someone was to leave a ransom note then they would normally take the person they were holding ransom with them. It didn t make sense that there was a ransom note and then the dead body in the house. Also, another strange thing about that note was that it said that JonBenet would be beheaded if they told the police about the ransom or anyone else and that they were watching. Patsy immediately called the police and friends after reading the note, completely ignoring the warning. She obviously wasn t worried about this threat at all and the reason why is because she knew there wasn t one since she wrote the note. Also, handwriting analysts say the note easily could have been written by Patsy. Not to mention that the paper and pen and a rough draft of the note were found in their home. If someone was in a rush when kidnapping a child they would have a pre written note and definitly would not take the time to write more than one draft of a note. Another point to be made is that the amount asked for was the exact amount of John Ramsey s bonus that only his family and people from his company would know about. So either they were ... • 6. Death Coverage In The Military The media wants to take on death coverage in the military. Death is a very newsworthy story despite its obscenity and gruesomeness. Death is the tragedy most Americans, without family in the military, will never truly understand but can somewhat feel bi curiously through the coverage on a screen. Although many Americans trust in the media to cover all news, after death coverage in previous wars military war support has been lost due to the high death tolls. And in other circumstances, Americans have been misguided and turned biased because of war death censorship by the government. Should the media cover the death soldiers every time a solider dies? There are many families who say absolutely not and are content with the anti media death... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the impact of war in the lives of those who ve lost a loved one is something both sides can agree on. The very touching documentary called Families Share Soldier s Last Letters Home by Bill Couturi was shortly previewed on NPS live by Michelle Norris. The families feel that America is anesthetized to their pain, like they don t feel the depths of their grief and the pain this war is causing. The fact that I was doing this and helping their loved ones be remembered was what exactly what they wanted. said Bill Couturi about his film. This is great death coverage because now days most people are desensitized to death since it is happening everywhere at all times, in movies, video games and real life. This allows us to understand and bring back the honor of the soldiers and the emotion associated with their death. There was no political motive or bias to this documentary, it was just documenting families reading the last letters of their passed loved ones and all the sadness that came along with ... • 7. A Literary And Historical Standpoint Although it is practical from a literary and historical standpoint, object driven analyses of Shakespeare s First Folio fail to account for, as Brown says, the story of the object asserting itself as a thing. By treating the First Folio as only a book meant to be read for information these analyses let it stagnate in a subject object binary which leads us to falsely believe that the subject creates knowledge from the object. Or as Brown says, we are stuck viewing the object as a code by which our interpretive attention makes them meaningful (Brown 4). This line of thinking is problematic because the object then lacks agency. When the object transitions to a thing, the binary no longer applies and we can see that it has knowledge with or without a subject involved. Additionally, this shift out of the binary allows for the thing to become its own subject. If, as Baudrillard believes it is the subject that totalizes the world (qtd in Brown) then this implies that the thing is not merely passively impacted by the world but actively impacts the world with its presence. However, only viewing the First Folio as a thing in opposition to an object also limits our study of it. Instead, I propose that we should examine the story of an object becoming a thing. Before I further my argument I want to take a moment to fully examine the difference between an object and a thing and why current scholarship has failed to acknowledge the importance of the First Folio becoming a thing. ... • 8. The Integration Of The European Union Modern culture commonly exceeds the boundaries of individual nation states through processes such as globalisation, improvement in technologies and the rise in free trade; leading to the concept of transnationalism (Waldinger, 2013). Transnationalism involves interactions linking people or institutions across the borders of many nation states (Crang et al, 2003). Transnationalism is intrinsically linked to mobility; mobility is the ongoing and continuous cross border movements in which people develop and maintain economic, social and cultural links in more than one nation, mobility (this sentence is too long but I m not sure how to change it so it still makes sense) facilitates transnationalism with enables Europeanisation (Ernste, 2009).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a result, integration allows Europe to increase their economic output, because as Hansen and Jonsson (2014) argue West Europe lacks the natural resources necessary to become a viable economic power to compete globally. The Schengen agreement of 1995 therefore facilitates trade, transnationalism and Europeanisation because it enables workers, particularly lorry drivers, to move easily across the continent. Medrano (2012) argues that integration processes are difficult because of the diversity within the EU, the rise of Euroscepticism, and the shift in the balance of power of national institutions from domestic parliaments to a European parliament. Fligstein (2012) mentions that in 2004 only 3.9 per cent of people who lived in Europe viewed themselves as European, this is very damning in suggesting that the processes of EU integration have failed because no one identifies themselves as European. Raunio (2011) also echoes this sentiment; he comments that national governments are the gatekeepers of EU integration; however, the consistent enlargement of the EU has made this task more difficult, leading to the conclusion that integration has resulted in the loss of control that domestic governments have over their decisions ... • 9. The Impacts of Crohn s Disease on Daily Life Although people may believe that disease comes from germs and viruses around them, but with Crohn s disease that is not the case. Crohn s is an inflammatory bowel disease that affects the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. This disease can form, inflame, anywhere from your stomach to small intestine. Patients who struggle with Crohn s usually would need a lifetime of care just to contain the disease; there is still not a cure, but it impacts their daily schedule. Crohn s is a disease doctors are still to find the reasoning for this disease and how they could solve it, but for now patients with Crohn s will have improvise with their daily routine depending on how it affects them. A group of doctors in New York City first documented about Crohn s Disease, but it was only named after one doctor. The group of doctors included Burril B. Crohn, Leon Ginzburg, and Gordon Oppenheimer. The doctors who discovered the irritation seen an array in some patients symptoms, ...noticed that fourteen patients shared the same characteristics of a disease pattern affecting the last part of the small intestineknown as the terminal ileum (Sklar 6). They only noticed the type of Crohn s that affected the small intestine; there is more than one type of Crohn s that affects your GI tract. At that time the terminal ileum was the only place doctors seen the disease strike. The Consequences of Continued Use of Nuclear Power Plants in the USA Introduction According to the most conservative estimates, century energy consumption will double in the world by the middle of the 21th century (Beretta). It will happen as a result of the population growth and other geopolitical and economic factors. Thus, the electricity will be required in order to receive a sustainable development of fuel hydrogen, and provide people with fresh water. Despite the recent tragic events in Japan and a splash of public distrust to the peaceful atom , nuclear power continues to be one of the most promising areas. Demand for electricity, which is growing along with the development of the world economy, requires the construction of new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 9). Usually receiving the nuclear energy requires a nuclear chain reaction of nuclear fission of uranium 235 or plutonium. Kernels start dividing after hit by a neutron. It provides new neutrons and fission fragments. Neutrons and fission fragments have a high kinetic energy. Because of collisions with other atoms fragments, the kinetic energy transforms into heat. Nuclear fusion is another way to release nuclear energy. Two nuclei of light elements combine in one grave. Such processes occur on the Sun. Many atomic nuclei are unstable. Over time, some of these nuclei spontaneously convert into other nuclei, releasing energy. This phenomenon is called a radioactive decay. Nuclear energy is produced in nuclear power plants, used in nuclear powered icebreakers and nuclear submarines. The United States is running a program for developing nuclear engine for spacecraft. Nuclear energetics is an energy sector, which is engaged in the production of electricity and heat by converting nuclear energy. Factors of the Development of Nuclear Energy The first industrial nuclear power plant with capacity of 5 MW was put into operation in the USSR (the city of Obninsk) in 1954 (World Energy Council 7). Advanced industrial countries began to design and build nuclear power plants with reactors of different types. By 1964, the total capacity of nuclear power plants rose to 5 million kW in the world. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Kate and Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew by William... Kate and Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew An exploration of the way Shakespeare presents the characters and relationships of Kate and Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew. The relationship between Kate and Petruchio is central to the development of The Taming of the Shrew, as both characters clearly represent and are centrally involved in the main theme of the play, the taming of the shrew , Kate. The audience is first introduced to Kate by other characters opinions of her, such rather than from Kate herself. Language such as Gremio s, she s too rough for me, and Hotensio s, Unless you were of gentler milder mould, gives Kate her reputation as a shrewish character. When Kate first speaks, she speaks rudely, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Kate is equal to Petruchio linguistically which also displays an aspect of her character, that she feels that she is easily the equal of any man. During their first exchange, Petruchio immediately sets about Kate, that he will, woo her with some spirit when she comes, and that he will describe her as the opposite of everything she is in order to confuse her and break her down. In Petruchio s first exchange with Kate, it is clearly he who comes off better, immediately setting about her with short witty lines, and puns, for dainties are all Kates. This gives the effect if making Petruchio seem very confident and sure of himself, if he begins his taming with such good humour and interest. In contrast to this, Kate is very angry and frustrated by the Petruchio, and immediately becomes shrewish, resorting to insults, A joint stool, and violence. This gives the effect of Kate being much less in control of what is going on, and perhaps reflects the direction their relationship is going to take, that Petruchio will be the one in charge, and Kate will not have any control. This could however also demonstrate Kate s intelligence and wit, that she is able to keep up and match Petruchio s wordplay. However Kate feels the need to resort to violence, again demonstrating Petruchio s intelligent wordplay and calm attitude, as he does not react violently towards Kate, but simply ... An addiction is in which the brain responds to a stimulus, or multiple stimuli, that triggers a respond to the brain, and releases, dopamine to the person creating a reward system to the user, thus increasing the mood of the person. Therefore, allowing the brain to learn by teaching it to respond to increased levels of dopamine, by the stimulus (pp.131). For example, the more a person gambles and wins, the better they feel. Even so, there is a low point for people that gamble or takes drugs, but the need for that persons is to increase their chances of winning, or getting a fix, where they could combine a mix of food, alcohol, drugs and tobacco (pp.131). Which would make them feel good again, as once again, as dopamine is released into the system. According to Davis (2014) that food should not be thought of as addictive, as food is essential for human survival and with a proper diet with all the vitamins and mineral that the body require humans can live a healthy life (pp. 129). But even so food can be addictive as the process foods have many compounds added to everyday foods that rewards the brain for eating it, therefore, a person will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Readers interpret Gatsby s social structure as a triangle and we learn to commiserate him whereas Waugh invents the character Paul Pennyfeather who is a naГЇve, passive character and is in the structure of a circle. Fitzgerald is criticising society in the sense that the elite are solely dependant on their money despite them being miserable and this could refer to the saying money doesn t by happiness which is very true to such cases as Gatsby s. It may seem as though Seuss is being a wee bit dramatic, but he is only delivering the cold, hard truth that a situation like this was happening in the real world (the Nuclear Arms Race) and that we should all take notice and try to appease it. In the story, the nephew accompanies his grandfather to the wall in order to witness the ordeal and the grandfather even thinks it s a good idea because this way he can witness history in the making although neither may live to tell the story. Given the undemocratic nature of the GDR, these films are particularly suited to discuss the way that people react to a status quo: whether by accepting it and conforming to it, or by rejecting and subverting it in various ways. These different options appear in the two films analysed in this essay. Coming Out (1989) by Heiner Carow was filmed in the GDR, and charts a gay man s process of acceptance of himself. The Lives of Others(2006) by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck looks back at the GDR s past, and more specifically at the actions of the Stasi. Its plot, set in 1984, follows a Stasi agent s conversion to political subversion and to being a good man . First, this essay will examine the representation of acceptance of the status quo in these films, before turning to the portrayal of subversion. Lastly, it will highlight some of the negative aspects of the subversion depicted such aspects being introduced either in a conscious and critical way, or not. After the post Iraq invasion Iran saw the security void as an opportunity to reshape Iraq in order to prevent it from re emerging as a strategic threat, although its operation of Iraq s freedom resulted to high levels of insecurity mainly because other countries failed to see Iraq as a regionally powerful country. They still have the innate curiosity of children without the apathy that seems so rampant among those who actually have the power to change. This is why it is so important to know how teenagers view the world, because they will be making up the world in a few decades. There is no better way to know how they think than by examining the literature they read. Over the past few years, dystopian novels have topped the young adult charts. It is easy to just write off the similarities between teenage aimed novels as just a standard story writing formula for making money. However, by looking deeper into what these similarities really mean, we can learn that these stories are similar for very important reasons. As Utopian scholar Lyman Tower Sargent s states, It is particularly important that we understand the dreams and nightmares that are directed at children and young adults (Hintz Ostry, 234). First, we need to take a look at what dystopian fictions are, by definition. According to Aristotle, author of the Poetics, all forms of art perform mimesis. Epic poetry and tragedy, as also comedy, dithyrambic poetry, and most pipe playing and lyre playing, are all, viewed as a whole, modes of imitation (Aristotle) This concept of mimesis ... Soon after wards, when he has noted the obstacles that the Trojans meet in their wanderings, he again ends a period in the similar note: Such was the cost in heavy toil of beginning the life of Rome (I, 33). Once again, when Venus complains that her son Aeneas is unjustly treated, Jupiter replies not only by promising that all will be well for Aeneas but by giving a prophetic sketch of Roman history to Julius Caesar. This reward, which the ancestor is to receive, is much more than his own success or glory, more even than his settlement in Italy. It is the assurance of the Roman destiny, of universal and unending dominion: To Romans I set no boundary in space or time. I have granted them dominion, and it has no end (I, 278 79). As we can see, at the outset Vergilius shows what kind of destiny is the subject of his poem. Analysis Of Pygmalion And Stoppard s Arcadia Although all education is interrelated and can improve one s quality of life, it is up to him or her to utilize the knowledge to improve their life in both Shaw s Pygmalion and Stoppard s Arcadia, but differs in the motive seeking education, where one is to improve one s social class and life and another is due to curiosity and fascination, respectively. In both texts, knowledge and education advanced the character s life quality to a certain limit. In Pygmalion, Eliza, a girl with no manners who seemingly lives on the streets seeks education in the means of language and manners in order to sell flowers at a flower shop. In Arcadia, Thomasina, on the other hand, seeks education in the pursuit of curiosity. Both texts depict knowledge as a passageway for a betterlife but then show that it is how one utilizes the education and knowledge that determines one s quality and satisfaction with life.
