Eck Scottish Accent Summary
Eck lives in Glasgow so he would have a very broad Scottish accent that I would need to work on. As
well as the Scottish accent, I would also need to work on the Scottish language that the speech is
written in as well. The speech consists of multiple very short sentences that are all sequentially
formed. I would need make these run smoothly and not be jumpy at all. Because of the speed of the
Scottish accent, I would need to focus on Articulation to avoid words not being properly annunciated.
The speech is about Eck s plans for the day I would need to convey the fact he is planning what to do
rather than actually doing them at that time. I would need to work on Intonation during the speech to
avoid sounding monotonous when listing Eck s

Fraud and Unjustified Conjectures in Dora An Analysis of a...
Many aspects of our lives, including culture and religion, are fabricated on the basis of conjectures.
Although these facts may remain unproven, little harm is inflicted from the possibility of
misinformation. Contrarily, in the case of science, the smallest error can lead to severely misguided
results and an inability to reach a solution. Dora An Analysis of a Case of Hysteria by Sigmund Freud
exemplifies this situation, as Freud reveals an incomplete analysis relying on a slew of unjustified
conjectures. During Dora s time of treatment, Freud consistently ignores her denials and impresses his
frequently outlandish theories on her, which ultimately leads to her early termination of treatment.
Freud fails to cure Dora due to his flawed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He continues by comparing himself to an archaeologist for restoring what is missing, taking the best
models known to [him] from other analyses (7). With this eloquent metaphor, he s simply trying to
validate his use of conjectures and although he claims to inform the reader upon his use of
assumptions, the fact remains that his analysis is partially formed on the basis of fabrication. It
appears as though Freud is merely trying to convince the reader to trust his diagnosis regardless of its
legitimacy as is repeated later with Dora.
During one of the first treatments, Dora recounts an unfavorable situation in which Herr K. arranges a
meet between Dora, Frau K. and himself. Against Dora s knowledge Herr K. convinces Frau K. to stay
at home to be alone with Dora. Upon her arrival, Herr K. pulls down the outside shutters [...] and,
instead of going out the open door, suddenly [clasps] the girl to him and [presses] a kiss upon her lips
(21). Freud immediately begins to analyze the situation in stating the strangeness of Dora s reaction.
Instead of eliciting sexual excitement, the encounter evokes a violent feeling of disgust (21) and the
need to flee. Freud states that any person in whom an occasion for sexual excitement elicited feelings
that were preponderantly or exclusively unpleasurable (22) is undoubtedly hysterical. With this claim,
he gives no concrete evidence to support this theory except his limited knowledge on

True Professionalism is Related to a Person´s Attitudes,...
Nowadays, the competitiveness of companies and the fight for customers, it s increasingly more and
more difficult to attract and retain clients on their side. For this reason, companies must pay great
attention and care to their employees, as they are the ones in constant contact with customers. This
essay will talk about professionalism, particularly what constitutes professionalism, what are the
consequences when employees do not follow the company s conduct for the big company such as
Rolls Royce and will look at some of the facts how Rolls Royce deals with these kind of issues.
Furthermore, I will reflect on the situation when acting as professional become an issue during the
placement with Rolls Royce. The word professionalism is often referred to as person s attitude,
behaviour , and capabilities in their job (Smith and McKeen, 2003). Maister (1997) explains, being
professional does not necessary describes a person with a set of job qualifications, it is rather a label
one have to earn in the eyes of others. So what describes true professionalism? There is no generally
adopted norm of what constitutes professionalism, what defines professionalism in one company may
not apply somewhere else, however, it is recognized that manners and appearance are inseparable part
of it (Smith and McKeen, 2003). Physical appearance is just as important as actual behaviour on the
job. If IT employee s appearance does not fit with the professional image of the rest of the

The Pros And Cons Of Alexander The Great Ruler Of Egypt
After the death of Alexander the Great, the empire was in complete chaos for Alexander had not
named an heir. While Perdiccas suggested waiting for the birth of Alexander and Roanne s child, I
proposed to divide the kingdom amongst the leading generals. After my campaign to divide the
empire, I successfully acquired the title as the ruler of Egypt. I, Ptolemy Soter Ⅰ, the Pharaoh of Egypt,
have contributed greatly to the advancements of my kingdom. For starters, I have stabilized the
economy and placed the administration on sound footing. Ptolemaic Egypt is now a center for trade,

How Does Shakespeare Use Racial Prejudice In Othello
More than Jealousy and Love: Othello
While reading any literary work, there are lots of conceptions that you have to consider, even if the
genre of it is romantic or comedy, it might have all kinds of hidden things. You have to have an open
mind to see all that. Reading can be an opening for the mind to see how people used to live and how
they are living now. Othello one of the most interesting plays that talk about very important issues,
like love of course, racial prejudice, and being an outsider.
Reading Shakespeare s plays give us the right to see how things were going on in the past. Through
his plays we see the comedy side and how that was; also we see love, hate, jealousy and tragedy.
Othello is one of Shakespeare unique ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many characters also exhibit hatred of women, or misogyny. And also in many times, Othello s age is
a reason for insulting him. In other words, prejudice works as a kind of strategy to identify outsiders
who frighten them. Othello at the end of the play tries to use religious prejudice against Muslims to
attach his place within mainstream Christian Venetian society
(http:/www.litcharts.com/lit/othello/themes April 2015). He was very insecure about his blacked skin

Research Critique Research Paper
Part B: Research Critique (60 marks)

Explain the purpose of the study. Use the PICO or PICo format to identify the research question.
(150 words) This study does not pose a clear research question, but makes a declarative question that
identifies the purpose of the research as follows: Do you use social media? A study into new nursing

Quantitative data were collected from 112 (93%) survey respondents from a 2014 sample of 121
nurses and midwives. Findings from each method are integrated into the interpretation phase of the
study (Richardson Tench et al 2014). It is, however, important to note that quantitised qualitative data
is vulnerable to collinearity and statistical measurement limitations, as small sample sizes can fail to
support the research.
Identify and explain sampling and recruitment procedures were in the research.
(200 words) The study sample comprised of 112 Australian and New Zealand newly graduate nursing
and midwifery respondents in a 2014 sample of 121 participants. The sample participants were mainly
women (96%) reported as mostly registered nurses (93%) who had graduated in 2009 (60%) and 2008
(40%) (Tuckett Turner 2016). The small sample size is not a representative of all graduates in
Australia and New Zealand, and participants are geographically confined to these countries, which
limits global generalizability of findings (Tuckett Turner 2016). However, table 1 within the study
does provide clear information on the demographics for the study participants. The response rate of
the participants is also clearly stated. The type of sampling used within the study appears to be non
probability sampling. In purposive non probability sampling, participants are selected based on the

Olympic Swimming Research Paper
HISTORY OF SWIMMING IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES
According to the Oxford dictionary, the act of swimming is to propel one s body through water by
using the limbs or other bodily movement . Using this form to propel through water is now so
technical and refined that it is classed as an individual or team sport as well as a recreational activity.
One of the most popular sports of the Olympic Games today is swimming highlighting events in
different strokes like the butterfly, backstroke, freestyle and breaststroke. Competition is conducted
both in a purpose built swimming pool as well as the open water. Olympic swimming is one of the
most watched and oldest events, competitors from all over the world come together at a hosted city to

Not only paintings have been found but also written evidence referencing swimming. The first ever
book of swimming was written by a German professor of languages, Nikolaus Wynmann in 1538
called The Swimming or A Dialogue on the Act of Swimming .
The country that was first to take part in swimming both as a competitive sporting activity and as a
recreation was England in the early 18th century. The competitions with time gained popularity
leading to the first indoor swimming pool opening for the public in 1828, at the St George Baths,
London and operated by the National Swimming Society. Improvements made towards swimming as a
sport led to numerous swimming organizations such as Amateur Swimming Association of Great
Britain with as many as 300 regional clubs operating throughout England. By 1882 other European
countries had also established swimming federations with the first European amateur swimming
competitions in 1889.
The style of swimming or stroke that was majorly used was the breaststroke until1844 where two
Native American participants introduced the front crawl. Then in 1873 after winning a local
competition, Sir John Arthur Trudgen debuted a new hand over stroke freestyle, which is still
considered today as the most powerful strokes of all swimming styles.
The first women s swimming championship was held in Scotland in 1892 but wasn t introduced to the
Olympic Games until 1912. Men s

forgiven. vv. 3 5: Jonah learns a valuable lesson about mercy and forgiveness. vv. 7 11: Despite all
terrible things God is gracious and merciful.
I believe the book of Jonah intends to teach us that God is a gracious and merciful Lord who will grant
salvation to those who desire to repent, by the virtue of; accepting the Lord with all your heart, mind,
and soul. This idea is evident by the content of the book. First, we understand that one cannot seek
God and flee from him simultaneously. He wants us to obey his will even if adversity chooses to arise.
However, Jonah refuses the Lord s will and chooses to disobey him. Consequently, Jonah is thrown
overboard and swallowed by a fish. Although, once Jonah prays for forgiveness the Lord grants it.
Subsequently, Jonah preaches the gospel and the king of Nineveh as well as his people repent to the
Lord and forgives. This angers Jonah, even though the Lord forgave Jonah of his atrocious act just as
he did with the Ninevites. In conclusion, we learn that if we repent and obey the Lord s calling, God
will give an abundance of

Analysis Of Unwind By Neal Lassiter
Although the population of the world is upwards of seven billion people, society is still an extremely
unwelcoming place for people struggling with their lives. Important figures such as Gandhi, Martin
Luther King Jr., or Abraham Lincoln stood up for issues like slavery, peace, and racism that no other
person would care about. Even with the incredible advances they made in humanity though, there are
still an unbelievable amount of conflicts between races, gender, and overall acceptance in today s
world. People are idly standing by as the world crumbles away, but some people such as social
activists are trying to make a difference like Connor Lassiter. In Unwind, by Neal Shusterman, the
main protagonist, Connor Lassiter, was a disgrace to his parents through his misbehaviour in school.
He became an Unwind, who would be taken apart to serve as replacement body parts along with many
others his age. While many others were accepting it as their fate, Connor fought back. He stood up to
Unwinding himself and also brought other Unwind s voices together to form a powerful stance. His
will to simply exist empowered other Unwinds and ultimately changed their society forever, saving
thousands to Unwinds to come. In the spur of the moment, Connor decides not to surrender to the
police, but instead grabs a hostage. Connor s whole life turns upside down as he becomes a criminal
and goes on the run. Although he was brought to the harvest camp and was about to die, explosions

Kate Chopin s novel The Awakening in the opening chapter provides the argument for women s
entrapment in roles that society has forced upon them. Chopin was not just trying to write an

birds trapped in these cages unable to free themselves from these imposed roles by society. Chopin

Mean s Search For Meaning By Viktor Frankl
Mean s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl Linda Felix Positive Psychology Dr. R. Barke November
28, 2016 The book, in autobiographical mode, relates Auschwitz to the life of the author Viktor E.
Frankl in the concentration camps of the former Nazi Germany. It reports the cruelty in which the SS
soldiers used to mistreat the prisoners and in turn explains how the concentration camp life in the
mind of the average prisoner affected. As soon as they reached the concentration camp, which in this
case was Auschwitz, the prisoner was stripped of his personal belongings and identity documents.
They identified the prisoners with a number. Then there was a first selection that for some would have
a fatal destiny, crematoria and gas chambers. The forced labor of the prisoners sometimes had a
reward in the form of a coupon. This coupon could be redeemed for a dozen cigarettes or a dozen
servings of soup. Usually the vouchers were kept for the soup, but thanks to them you could tell when
a prisoner lost the will to live and smoked their cigars to enjoy their last days of existence. The author
divides life into the field into three phases. Phase one, The Shock. The symptom that characterizes this
phase, according to Frankl, is the shock. As soon as they were at Auschwitz, they received a group of
prisoners who spoke in every imaginable and well fed European language. That is why the prisoners
who arrived thought they could share their situation. They adopt the state of

However, I believe that people selectively choose what they wish to hear and observe, and just
because the Pope has articulated or conveyed something that people agree with, does not brand him a
conservative or a liberal. Americans today tend to believe that the papacy s standpoint is connected
with the Republican Party. With the election of Pope Francis this view point has begun to change, and
has multitudes of people questioning whether the Catholic Church is aligned with a political party, and
if so which one? Although a radical pope may seem trivial, it is in fact crucial in terms of today s
concerns over political leaders own morals. Whether government officials view the pope as a political
figure and leader this issue is important to the politicians who adopt the Pope s ideals to support their
own claims. Ultimately, this country and others are governed by men and women each of whom has a
religious stance. As a result, it is almost impossible for governing figure heads to rule without the
ideals and morals guided by their culture s theology. However, the question put forth How Radical is
Pope Francis? requires further examination. In the United States, there is a separation of church and
state, but is Pope Francis aligned with a political party or do Liberals and Conservatives alike align

shifting the culture and workforce to match the new direction in which Yahoo is going. Yahoo needs a
new vision and approach in how they develop their employees. Manager Training and ... Show more

This is a terrible hiring strategy and I am not surprised that Yahoo had to later layoff 12 percent of
their workforce. They clearly hired more than what their company could support. It s really sad
because it could have been prevented if each position being posted was more closely evaluated. The
position control process should include input and evaluation from finance and recruitment
departments, and of course contain some form of justification or business case as to why this position
is needed by the requesting manager. Possible Road Blocks Ahead
Implementing a training and development program in a company could be quite a time consuming and
costly task. It takes a great deal of planning and implementation. It might also be challenging in
getting staff to support it and get onboard with the program. This might be countered by involving
current management in the development of the training programs and giving them a say in the training
classes offered since they should have a good idea where their opportunities lay.
With my experience in hiring and position control, I can say that the benefit does outweigh the cons. I
m sure most managers will say it is much easier to hire someone than to fire someone. However, a con
of a position control process is the extra time it takes since it usually involves multiple approvers and
stringent evaluations.

Analysis Of Captain America The Winter Soldier
Ethics are the standards set by a specific institution that provides clear guidelines for acceptable
behaviors. James Svara outlines 4 dimensions of ethics as duty, virtue, principles and benefit to
society. Each of these dimensions are standard of exceptional public service. At the core of all ethics
in bureaucracy is the commitment to provide the greatest good for the greatest number. Moreover,
Public Administrators are responsible for countless tasks to ensure that all recipients of a bureaucratic
service are treated objectively. Unfortunately, not all Public Administrators illustrate exemplary
behaviors conducive to incomparable public service. Theoretical considerations are best used to
observe human nature and public administration ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Captain America failed to apprehend The Winter Soldier despite the chaos he caused to the Public due
to the fact that they knew each other personally. This conflict of interest between the Public and
Captain America is known as an information asymmetry as Captain America failed to disclose that his
enemy during the movie was once his friend. The Public is at a disadvantage in this instance as they
are not fully disclosed on all of the details concerning their protection moving forward while the
immediate safety of The Winter Soldier was granted by Captain America. Consequently, Captain
America exemplified both exceptional and questionable ethical practice in his duty as a public
administrator. Likewise, Nick Fury was a public administrator that also exhibited outstanding public
service and unethical decision making as well.
Nick Fury was the immediate supervisor that delegated tasks to the Agents within S.H.I.E.L.D.
Furthermore, Nick Fury advocated that S.H.I.E.L.D takes the world for what it is, not as they would
like for it to be. Mobilization of the armed forces was one of the capabilities Nick Fury relished as he
able to obtain fighter jets and automobiles that were primed for action should volatile situations ignite.
Agency Theory suggests that the armament of S.H.I.E.L.D as directed by Nick Fury is

My Life At The Hotel Room
One day in summer of 2015, my family and I went on a little vacation to Dallas,Texas. My mom and
dad went to hang out with their friends the whole vacation while me and my sister were bored in the
hotel room taking care of my little brat of a brother. But to our luck, there were two girls around my
age that are my friends. It kinda sucked for my sister because she had no one that was her age other
than three boys, but she won t talk to them. The adults wanted to have an adult day, but the whole
vacation it was adult days. I wanted to go swimming in the hotel room and so did the two girls plus
my sister.
They are responsible, They will be fine, let them go, all the adults said but maybe They were so
wrong. All the adults agreed to let us four girls go to the hotel alone.
Once we got to the hotel we sprinted up to the room. All of us decided to go to the pool. Everyone
took forever to get ready, but i was done in a flash. We got to the pool. Everybody was too chicken to
go to the pool. My sister being herself, she was paranoid because there was an old man who looked
creepy. One of the girls that was with us is very social and she didn t think before she does something.
her being herself called out to the old man
Hey how are you?
I m good how is the water? the creepy old man said
It s great, she responded
Well in that case i ll go and put my swimming suit on and meet you back in the pool, at that moment
we know that everything is going to go down hill. The old

Rifle Vs Spotting Scope Research Paper
Rifle Scope Vs Spotting Scope
When it comes to hunting, accuracy counts. You need to know that when you pull the trigger, you are
going to hit your target. If you do not, you will lose the capture. The same can be said for all other
forms of target shooting and the further away your target is, the harder it will be to hit your mark. That
is why there are so many who wonder which best, a rifle scope or a spotting scope. Perhaps it is here
that you will find the answer.
High End Rifle Scopes Vs a Spotting Scope
There are many reasons that someone may choose to go with a higher end scope. Most high end AR

It is often a lot more stable to look through than a pair of binoculars or even a rifle scope because it is
designed to be used on a stationary tripod or some other stable surface.
Perhaps Use Both?
There are people who use both devices because they perform a different job. It is easier for many to
use the spotting scope rather than binoculars when they want to see over a long distance and it also
ensures that they are not possibly pointing their rifle at something they would not want to shoot.
There are also those people who feel that if you have a good rifle scope, you do not need to carry more
than absolutely necessary when you are out in the woods. They feel that their rifle scopes are just as
accurate as a spotting scope and that when they see a target, it is easier to use their rifle and shoot at it
rather than have to site it again. It all depends on how each individual feels about it.
How are They Most Useful?
A spotting scope is designed to be accurate while you are scanning the area for a potential target. Then
you can zero in on the target with your rifle scope and wait for a clear shot at it. They are easier to use
than binoculars and offer a very clear view of targets that are far

Human Trafficking And Sexual Exploitation
Human trafficking has been dubbed the modern version of slavery as it is the act of taking an
individual by force or coercion for some aspect of labour purposes. The phenomenon of human
trafficking for sexual exploitation is not a recent one. Human trafficking has historical roots in
traditions of worldwide slavery and in debt bondage in the South East Asian region. In the 20th
century, during the periods of the First World War and the Second World War, human trafficking for
sexual exploitation grew as comfort women were used in Japanese occupied areas in South East Asia.
In modern times, globalization has proliferated both human trafficking and sex tourism industries
through people s increased ability to travel further and easier. Human trafficking, as opposed to human
smuggling, focuses heavily on the exploitation and violation of those subjected to it. Women, men,
and children are all at risk of being trafficked into exploitative work, including sexual labour. On the
other hand, sex tourism avoids focusing on its exploitative side and instead engages heavily with
global tourism in a lucrative industry. Women prostitutes are the primary contributor to the labour side
of sex tourism industries. Prostitution economies, especially in the Global South, thrive on the exotic
Third World sex workers .
Both sex tourism and human trafficking for sexual exploitation have dynamic gendered natures. Both
sides of the international sex industry have created sexual moral panics

Essay on The Red Badge of Courage
The Red Badge of Courage
The Red Badge of Courage, by Steven Crane, has been considered one of the greatest war novels of
all time. It is a story that realistically depicts the American Civil War through the eyes of Henry
Fleming, an ordinary farm boy who decides to become a soldier.
Henry is very determined to become a hero, and the story tells Henrys voyage from being a young
coward to becoming a brave man. This voyage is the classic trip from innocence to experience.
To begin, the story starts out with a huge debate between the soldiers. One boy had heard a rumor that
the regiment would be moving on to fight a battle the next day.
Some of the soldiers agree with this boy. Others think that their regiment will never go ... Show more

Tom and Henry talk about how they are not going to run away from war, and how they want to
become big time war heroes. This is weird because in the end of the book you will find that their
wishes come true. When the battle starts, all the soldiers get very anxious and nervous. Tom and
Henry don t turn out to be as brave as they think that they could be. While hiding, Tom finds Henry,
and gives him an envelope of letters for his family. Tom believes that this will be his first and his last
battle.
Henry ends up fulfilling his worst nightmare. Instead of sticking out the battle with the rest of his
regiment, he hides behind some brush in order to spare himself from getting shot.
He listens in on the battle, and to much of his surprise, he hears cheering from what s left of his
regiment. He then takes off into the woods in anger. While running through the woods his conscience
begins to speak to him. He keeps telling himself that he is a coward and a deserter. Out of guilt, Henry
runs back to the battle site, and meets again with his regiment. These actions showed Henry s maturity
and desire to be a war hero.
When Henry meets back up with his regiment an older man begins to have a discussion with him. The
old man asks Henry where yuh hit, ol boy? . With massive feelings of guilt, Henry shrugs away from
the man and runs back into the woods. From behind a tree, he can see all the wounded soldiers on the
battle field. At times he regarded

Essay on Hardships Facing the Gray Wolf Population
An eerie howl fills the air; it bellows over the darkened valley floor. A majestic show of fur and fang
dance behind a herd of deer leaping through blanketed snow. Within a second, gunshots echo; and a
fallen beauty lays unmoving, painting the snow beneath a deep red. In the past, with little
understanding and an abundance of anger, humans in North America have caused much change to the
gray wolf s life. Alterations in habitat, behavior, diet, and human measures for control have created a
multitude of hardships for the gray wolf population. Encroachment from human settlers has caused
dramatic adjustments in the gray wolf s habitat and behavior. Since the beginning of colonization in
America, the gray wolf s territories have been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These conditions forced packs of gray wolves to retreat away from their known territory into other
gray wolves habitat, causing blood soaked battles to ensue. The only alternative was for them to
change their behavior, and try to coexist with their new human company. As main food sources
diminished due to human hunting, the gray wolf found it more difficult to have a successful hunt.
Hunters began taking the wolves main food sources, which forced the wolves to expand their daily
search for prey. This caused wolves to venture near human settlements more often, looking for some
kind of nourishment. With humans and wolves vying for many of the same food sources, wolves
found slow and trusting farm animals a much easier target. Sheep and cattle were believed to be a new
staple for the gray wolf diet. Although in reality, only in very rare circumstances were livestock
hunted for meals by gray wolves. Many embellished the situation and persuaded people gray wolves
were a threat. A menace not only to livestock, but also humans; moreover that action needed to be
taken.
The fabricated lies spread by people caused many to take barbaric steps toward what they believed
necessary control of wolves. Wanting more profit for themselves, greedy hunters looked for an easy
way to get rid of competition. Using traps, hunters started catching wolves for their pelts, which they
could sell for money. Hunting wolves also

Theme Of Female Oppression In La Casa De Bernarda Alba
FEMALE OPPRRESSION IN LA CASA DE BERNARDAALBA
Katarina Milosevic
In this essay, female oppression in La Casa de Bernarda Alba will be discussed and analyzed.
However, in order to be able to understand the importance of this theme and the impact it has had on
the play, one must first understand the role of female oppression in the Spanish society in the 1930s.
The 1930s were a period of many changes in Spain, especially because Francisco Franco started ruling
the country and the political problems that arose. Things slowly started changing for women because
of the foundation of Mujeres Libres, a female anarchist organization that fought for female rights.
Until then, the general view of women was that of Proudhon, which meant that women were to be
seen as reproducers whose role was to contribute to the society by taking care of their household and
their children . This was especially common in the rural areas of Spain, where women could even be
forced into arranged marriages against their will and almost had no say in what happened to them. The

female characters in the play, but there is another element which has not been mentioned before and it
is religion. Religion, in this case Christianity, promotes chastity and discourages sex before marriage.

Pros And Cons Of Indians
The establishment of the Virginia colony was a rough, and tough one. For many years after the first
settlement the establishment lacked advancement and was a great failure to it s original expectations.
Despite the claim that the colonial experience between two cultures results in the destruction of the
inferior culture, the superior English could have easily been wiped out had the inferior Indians let
them stare to death. Yet, because of this helping hand, the saved Europeans, with more superior
economics, technology, and lustful desires in mind seized the land right under the Indians. Were the
Indians fated to be destroyed based on the decisions and the circumstances of both parties, and why?
The Indians were unfortunate collateral damage to their own helping hand, boosting the likelihood of
their destruction and the growing greed and selfishness of the Whites. With many cultural differences,
morals, and action the Indians were not exactly up to par with the European s current way of life.
Bringing lustful desires of profit, and imposing intentions to the New World the Europeans were
armed with much more powerful weaponry, bigger and better ships, and ambition for greater things. A
word to describe the dominating whites, would be opportunists . They came to the New World with
the intension of preconceived ideas and expectations, of taking and making use of whatever the New
World gave them. With negative connotation the word sheds light on the greed, destruction and lack ...

Arguments Against Influenza Vaccines
Vaccines have allowed humans to avoid contracting terrible diseases for over 200 years now, but are
these same vaccines that are meant to help actually hurting us? Influenza kills more people in the
United States than any other vaccine preventable disease (Immunization Partnership), 1.5 million
children die from vaccine preventable diseases every year (Children s Hospital) and 3,000 to 6,000
people develop Guillain Barre Syndrome each year on average (CDC). There are billions of people in
this world who need to be protected from everyday viruses. Scientists have come up with a way to
avoid contracting many diseases, but many of these vaccines lead to more problems that threaten our
health. Scientists and doctors need to ensure that enough is being done to prevent vaccinations from
causing unintended health issues.

Diversity And Social Justice By Paulo Freire
Diversity and Social Justice
Education is that terrain where power and politics are given fundamental expression, since it is where
meaning, desire, language. and values engage and respond to the deeper beliefs about every nature of
what it means to be human, to dream, and to name and struggle for a particular future and way of life
(Freire, 1985). Education gives people the opportunity to take part in a reflective process and find
solutions to existing societal problems. Over the course program, I have developed a deeper
understanding of adult education and literacy specifically among the underserved population. My
perceptions of adult literacy have changed from merely engaging learners with the text to a deeper
understanding of what it means to be a literate adult. Why a focus on adult literacy and education?
According to Paulo Freire, no one elects to be illiterate. One is illiterate because of objective
conditions. In certain circumstances, the illiterate man is the man who does not need to read. In other
circumstances, he is the one to whom the right to read was denied (Freire, 1985 p.13). According to
Freire s argument, it is suffice to say that as an individual or leaner perhaps, being literate is not an
individual s choice. As an adult educator aspiring to work with underserved populations among them
the Turkana community in northern Kenya, understanding the root causes of illiteracy and overall low
rates of enrolments in adult education programs is crucial

  • 2. Eck Scottish Accent Summary Eck lives in Glasgow so he would have a very broad Scottish accent that I would need to work on. As well as the Scottish accent, I would also need to work on the Scottish language that the speech is written in as well. The speech consists of multiple very short sentences that are all sequentially formed. I would need make these run smoothly and not be jumpy at all. Because of the speed of the Scottish accent, I would need to focus on Articulation to avoid words not being properly annunciated. The speech is about Eck s plans for the day I would need to convey the fact he is planning what to do rather than actually doing them at that time. I would need to work on Intonation during the speech to avoid sounding monotonous when listing Eck s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Fraud and Unjustified Conjectures in Dora An Analysis of a... Many aspects of our lives, including culture and religion, are fabricated on the basis of conjectures. Although these facts may remain unproven, little harm is inflicted from the possibility of misinformation. Contrarily, in the case of science, the smallest error can lead to severely misguided results and an inability to reach a solution. Dora An Analysis of a Case of Hysteria by Sigmund Freud exemplifies this situation, as Freud reveals an incomplete analysis relying on a slew of unjustified conjectures. During Dora s time of treatment, Freud consistently ignores her denials and impresses his frequently outlandish theories on her, which ultimately leads to her early termination of treatment. Freud fails to cure Dora due to his flawed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He continues by comparing himself to an archaeologist for restoring what is missing, taking the best models known to [him] from other analyses (7). With this eloquent metaphor, he s simply trying to validate his use of conjectures and although he claims to inform the reader upon his use of assumptions, the fact remains that his analysis is partially formed on the basis of fabrication. It appears as though Freud is merely trying to convince the reader to trust his diagnosis regardless of its legitimacy as is repeated later with Dora. During one of the first treatments, Dora recounts an unfavorable situation in which Herr K. arranges a meet between Dora, Frau K. and himself. Against Dora s knowledge Herr K. convinces Frau K. to stay at home to be alone with Dora. Upon her arrival, Herr K. pulls down the outside shutters [...] and, instead of going out the open door, suddenly [clasps] the girl to him and [presses] a kiss upon her lips (21). Freud immediately begins to analyze the situation in stating the strangeness of Dora s reaction. Instead of eliciting sexual excitement, the encounter evokes a violent feeling of disgust (21) and the need to flee. Freud states that any person in whom an occasion for sexual excitement elicited feelings that were preponderantly or exclusively unpleasurable (22) is undoubtedly hysterical. With this claim, he gives no concrete evidence to support this theory except his limited knowledge on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. True Professionalism is Related to a Person´s Attitudes,... Nowadays, the competitiveness of companies and the fight for customers, it s increasingly more and more difficult to attract and retain clients on their side. For this reason, companies must pay great attention and care to their employees, as they are the ones in constant contact with customers. This essay will talk about professionalism, particularly what constitutes professionalism, what are the consequences when employees do not follow the company s conduct for the big company such as Rolls Royce and will look at some of the facts how Rolls Royce deals with these kind of issues. Furthermore, I will reflect on the situation when acting as professional become an issue during the placement with Rolls Royce. The word professionalism is often referred to as person s attitude, behaviour , and capabilities in their job (Smith and McKeen, 2003). Maister (1997) explains, being professional does not necessary describes a person with a set of job qualifications, it is rather a label one have to earn in the eyes of others. So what describes true professionalism? There is no generally adopted norm of what constitutes professionalism, what defines professionalism in one company may not apply somewhere else, however, it is recognized that manners and appearance are inseparable part of it (Smith and McKeen, 2003). Physical appearance is just as important as actual behaviour on the job. If IT employee s appearance does not fit with the professional image of the rest of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. How Does Shakespeare Use Racial Prejudice In Othello More than Jealousy and Love: Othello While reading any literary work, there are lots of conceptions that you have to consider, even if the genre of it is romantic or comedy, it might have all kinds of hidden things. You have to have an open mind to see all that. Reading can be an opening for the mind to see how people used to live and how they are living now. Othello one of the most interesting plays that talk about very important issues, like love of course, racial prejudice, and being an outsider. And also in many times, Othello s age is a reason for insulting him. In other words, prejudice works as a kind of strategy to identify outsiders who frighten them. Othello at the end of the play tries to use religious prejudice against Muslims to attach his place within mainstream Christian Venetian society (http:/www.litcharts.com/lit/othello/themes April 2015). He was very insecure about his blacked skin of his, and about his age and that s what made him get jealous, he thought that Desdemona did not love him because of the previous reasons and with Iago s manipulative mind he succeeded to get into Othello s mind But for my sport and profit. (150 words) This study does not pose a clear research question, but makes a declarative question that identifies the purpose of the research as follows: Do you use social media? Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Quantitative data were collected from 112 (93%) survey respondents from a 2014 sample of 121 nurses and midwives. Findings from each method are integrated into the interpretation phase of the study (Richardson Tench et al 2014). It is, however, important to note that quantitised qualitative data is vulnerable to collinearity and statistical measurement limitations, as small sample sizes can fail to support the research. Identify and explain sampling and recruitment procedures were in the research. (200 words) The study sample comprised of 112 Australian and New Zealand newly graduate nursing and midwifery respondents in a 2014 sample of 121 participants. The sample participants were mainly women (96%) reported as mostly registered nurses (93%) who had graduated in 2009 (60%) and 2008 (40%) (Tuckett Turner 2016). The small sample size is not a representative of all graduates in Australia and New Zealand, and participants are geographically confined to these countries, which limits global generalizability of findings (Tuckett Turner 2016). However, table 1 within the study does provide clear information on the demographics for the study participants. The response rate of the participants is also clearly stated. The type of sampling used within the study appears to be non probability sampling. In purposive non probability sampling, participants are selected based on the study purpose with the ... Not only paintings have been found but also written evidence referencing swimming. The first ever book of swimming was written by a German professor of languages, Nikolaus Wynmann in 1538 called The Swimming or A Dialogue on the Act of Swimming . The country that was first to take part in swimming both as a competitive sporting activity and as a recreation was England in the early 18th century. The competitions with time gained popularity leading to the first indoor swimming pool opening for the public in 1828, at the St George Baths, London and operated by the National Swimming Society. Improvements made towards swimming as a sport led to numerous swimming organizations such as Amateur Swimming Association of Great Britain with as many as 300 regional clubs operating throughout England. By 1882 other European countries had also established swimming federations with the first European amateur swimming competitions in 1889. The style of swimming or stroke that was majorly used was the breaststroke until1844 where two Native American participants introduced the front crawl. Then in 1873 after winning a local competition, Sir John Arthur Trudgen debuted a new hand over stroke freestyle, which is still considered today as the most powerful strokes of all swimming styles. I believe the book of Jonah intends to teach us that God is a gracious and merciful Lord who will grant salvation to those who desire to repent, by the virtue of; accepting the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul. This idea is evident by the content of the book. First, we understand that one cannot seek God and flee from him simultaneously. He wants us to obey his will even if adversity chooses to arise. However, Jonah refuses the Lord s will and chooses to disobey him. Consequently, Jonah is thrown overboard and swallowed by a fish. Although, once Jonah prays for forgiveness the Lord grants it. Subsequently, Jonah preaches the gospel and the king of Nineveh as well as his people repent to the Lord and forgives. This angers Jonah, even though the Lord forgave Jonah of his atrocious act just as he did with the Ninevites. • 11. Analysis Of Unwind By Neal Lassiter Although the population of the world is upwards of seven billion people, society is still an extremely unwelcoming place for people struggling with their lives. Important figures such as Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., or Abraham Lincoln stood up for issues like slavery, peace, and racism that no other person would care about. Even with the incredible advances they made in humanity though, there are still an unbelievable amount of conflicts between races, gender, and overall acceptance in today s world. People are idly standing by as the world crumbles away, but some people such as social activists are trying to make a difference like Connor Lassiter. In Unwind, by Neal Shusterman, the main protagonist, Connor Lassiter, was a disgrace to his parents through his misbehaviour in school. He became an Unwind, who would be taken apart to serve as replacement body parts along with many others his age. While many others were accepting it as their fate, Connor fought back. He stood up to Unwinding himself and also brought other Unwind s voices together to form a powerful stance. His will to simply exist empowered other Unwinds and ultimately changed their society forever, saving thousands to Unwinds to come. Barke November 28, 2016 The book, in autobiographical mode, relates Auschwitz to the life of the author Viktor E. Frankl in the concentration camps of the former Nazi Germany. It reports the cruelty in which the SS soldiers used to mistreat the prisoners and in turn explains how the concentration camp life in the mind of the average prisoner affected. As soon as they reached the concentration camp, which in this case was Auschwitz, the prisoner was stripped of his personal belongings and identity documents. They identified the prisoners with a number. Then there was a first selection that for some would have a fatal destiny, crematoria and gas chambers. The forced labor of the prisoners sometimes had a reward in the form of a coupon. This coupon could be redeemed for a dozen cigarettes or a dozen servings of soup. Usually the vouchers were kept for the soup, but thanks to them you could tell when a prisoner lost the will to live and smoked their cigars to enjoy their last days of existence. The author divides life into the field into three phases. Phase one, The Shock. The symptom that characterizes this phase, according to Frankl, is the shock. As soon as they were at Auschwitz, they received a group of prisoners who spoke in every imaginable and well fed European language. That is why the prisoners who arrived thought they could share their situation. They adopt the state of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Human Trafficking And Sexual Exploitation Human trafficking has been dubbed the modern version of slavery as it is the act of taking an individual by force or coercion for some aspect of labour purposes. The phenomenon of human trafficking for sexual exploitation is not a recent one. Human trafficking has historical roots in traditions of worldwide slavery and in debt bondage in the South East Asian region.
