Major Stressor Research Paper
What are your major stressor(s) (the cause of your being stressed)?
I am my own worst enemy when it comes to time management. I know what has to be accomplished
for the day and I usually always run out of time. I have five teenagers still at home and while they are
a huge help majority of the time there are days that they are very tempormental. If they are having an
off day they argue over any little thing, which tends to knock the evening schedule off its axis. I am a
full time student with the usual everyday life activities as well as after school sports. I am an organizer
and while my home is organized my time schedule is not. When things do not flow smoothly I tend to
get very stressed.

Don Pio Pico
Don Pio Pico, a renowned figure of early Mexican/American culture, was known for his exquisite
fashion sense, intelligence and leadership, whose family experience with early California authority
and religion progressed the integration of both societies. During his childhood, Pio s father isn t just a
symbol of his leadership, as he moves from a man of wealth and taste to an inspirational political
force, whose father becomes a symbol of his political rise in defining his own identity.
Nonetheless, I found the Pico mansion to be quaint, surrounded by growing grapes and many other
native plants, like rosemary, agave, and lavender, along with pillars and skilled crafted objects by the
family, perhaps, directly tied to their Mexican, Spanish, African and Italian roots. The Adobe is built
of thousands of earthen blocks. The fact that most of the walls are original is a testament to the skill of
the masons who built it. Inside the dwelling are many multicultural items pertaining to early
Christianity, family portraits and tools used for farming. The old wood and block structure brings forth

Engine Of Evolution Chapter Summaries
Chapter 1 What Is Evolution?
In chapter one of the selected text given it goes over six main components being: evolution,
gradualism, speciation, common ancestry, natural selection, and nonselective mechanisms of
evolutionary change. These six components are broken down from the larger idea that life began with
one species and eventually broke off and evolved into many new and different branches of species.
Even in reading this, I do not believe that we all came from one species. I feel that evolution is true to
an extent that while species do evolve over time (which is the concept of gradualism) we did not all
evolve from one parasitic creature. To start simply the first component evolution in itself to me means
that overtime a creature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main lesson of biogeography is that only evolution can explain the diversity of life on continents
and islands. (Coyne 109).In convergent evolution 3 of the six components discussed in chapter 1 are
working together. These 3 components are common ancestry, speciation, and natural selection. If
evolution did exist, ancestors of species today that lived in the same place, when dug up, should be
fossils that resemble organisms today.
Chapter 5 The Engine of Evolution In this chapter of the selected text for the course they talk of the
three things involved in adaptation. First and foremost, there has to be variation in the population,
second, the variation has to come from genes changes, and the third is that the genetic variation must
affect the probability of offspring. Evolution by selection is a combination of randomness and
lawfulness. (Coyne 118). I also learned that the only difference between natural selection and artificial
selection is that on one hand the changes occurring are being made to happen by a breeder (artificial)
whereas the other is random selection due to environmental and survival changes

Tuesdays With Morrie
Tuesdays with Morrie , by Mitch Albom, is a nonfiction retelling of a student s meetings with his
former mentor. Mitch, now a corporate lapdog, revisits one of his old college professors after he hears
that he has contracted ALS, a terminal disease with no known cure. Mitch and his old professor,
Morrie, discuss Morrie s life every tuesday, and these talks continuously make Mitch a better person
than who he was. Throughout this book many different themes are touched upon. One of these such
theme is the theme, and also Morrie s saying, Love or Perish . Throughout the book Morrie regularly
hammers in the point that to live without love, is to not live at all. Morrie is able to explain to Mitch
that the essence of love is the reason which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even in Morrie s dying state, the slightest brush of skin to skin contact with Mitch is enough to make
Morrie happy. Morrie relays that without his wife, without his nurses, and most importantly without
Mitch, he would not have been able to last as long as he did with his ALS. Another theme throughout
the book is that Morrie teaches Mitch to live life his own way. Morrie is disgusted by america s lust
for greed, fakeness, and violence, and teaches to establish your own way of thinking. While the O.J.
Simpson case was going on, Morrie completely shut himself off from the case, and instead focused on
his family and friends. Morrie built his life on the foundation of love and forgiving, two things that are
shunned in America, in Morrie s eyes. Morrie teaches Mitch that creating his own values and beliefs
leads to a much more enjoyable life than accepting mainstream America. One more theme evident in
Tuesdays with Morrie is the theme that life is full of choices. Morrie says early on in the book that he
had two choices when he got sick, feel sorry for himself or do something to try and help the world.
Morrie choose the second

these segments are: busy lives, creative, and prefer value shopping. This is a perfect location for
Charming Charlie because their mission is to help their customers unleash their one of a kind style.
This allows their consumers to use their creativity to put together an ideal outfit. Charming Charlie is
located in the shopping center just a few miles away from a major highway (I 85). A smart move
Charming Charlie made was to place the store on the opposite end of the shopping center, which is a

Relationship Between Communication And Errors
Solution Description The relationship between communication and errors has been well established in
the healthcare setting, affecting patient safety and placing the organization in a position of risk
(Friesen, Hughes and Zorn, 2007; Wasserman, 2014, Sears et al, 2013). Errors still occur, however,
and there is a focus on how healthcare can learn from the behaviors of high reliability industries
(Verschoor et al, 2007). One such behavior is that of a Safety Briefing (DSB), through which an
organization empowers every employee to be able to report issues that have an effect, or potential
effect on safety processes (Kelly, 2013; Rice, 2013; Steelman, 2014). The members of the DSB then
have the responsibility for identification of poor processes, system failures and remediation of issues.
Safety issues arise in this organization on a daily basis and are reported through an interdisciplinary
online tool. Each occurrence report is written by a staff member and routed to the department
supervisor. This supervisor forwards the report to any other relevant departments for their review. So,
for example, if a patient is admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) from the operating room (OR)
with a pressure ulcer, the event is written up by the ICU staff and routed to the ICU supervisor, who
then forwards to the ICU manager, the OR manager, the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. Each staffed
area has an identified responsible person to follow up on any issue that may affect the patients

Investigate how the Concentration of a Sucrose Solution...
Investigate how the Concentration of a Sucrose Solution affects the Rate of Osmosis
Introduction:
Diffusion is the movement of particles from a high concentration to a low concentration until they are
spread out evenly. An example of diffusion is when an aerosol is sprayed. The particles spread out
from the high concentration at the nozzle into the rest of the room and that is how the smell moves.
Osmosis is the passage of water molecules from a weaker solution to a stronger solution through a
partially permeable membrane. Osmosis is a type of diffusion involving water the water molecules
move from a weak solution (with a high concentration of water) into a strong solution (with a low
concentration of water).
The cell membrane in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason I predict that three will increase in mass and two decrease is because in my preliminary
experiment this was shown to be the case in these concentrations, however this could change in my
real experiment.
The chips that increase in mass have taken on more water which means that at the beginning of the
experiment the sucrose solution had a higher concentration of water than the chip and this is likely to
apply to the weaker sucrose solutions as they have a low concentration of sugar and therefore a high
percentage of water molecules. The strong sucrose solutions have a higher percentage of sugar
molecules and therefore a lower percentage of water molecules and if the concentration of water in the
potato chip is higher than in the solution then water will leave the potato chip by osmosis and
therefore the chip will lose mass. The water molecules move into cells that contain a lower
concentration due to the difference in osmotic potential between cells. The water molecules move
through a semi permeable membrane (the cell membrane) which has big enough holes in it to let
through the small water molecules, but not the bigger sucrose molecules. At a certain concentration of
sucrose solution the concentration of water will be the same in both the chip and the solution which
means there will be no transferral of water between the

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Packet Sniffers
A packet sniffer can only capture packet information within a given subnet. So, it s not possible for a
malicious attacker to place a packet sniffer on their home ISP network and capture network traffic
from inside your corporate network. In order to do so, the packet sniffer needs to be running on a
computer that is inside the corporate network as well. However, if one machine on the internal
network becomes compromised through a Trojan or other security breach, the intruder could run a
packet sniffer from that machine and use the captured username and password information in order to
compromise other machines on the network. Packet sniffers are very hard to detect because they are
passive, which means the sit on background reading the network stream and never send out data. So
unless we know it s there we can t find it. One of the major drawbacks of packet sniffers is if they can
t understand data its junk. So the best way is to make data encrypted. But there are ... Show more

Many practical situations arise when privacy of data becomes a concern. On the other hand knowing
the result of common computation is in their mutual interest. Consider following scenario: Four
brothers living independently want to know the total wealth of family but no brother wants to disclose
his individual wealth. All the students in a class want to know the average marks obtained by students
but no student is willing to show his marks to others. Certain number of mobile phone companies
wants to know the total customers in an area but no company want to disclose its number of
customers. SMC concept was introduced by Yao [1] where he gave a solution to two millionaire s
problem. Each of the millionaires wants to know who is richer without disclosing individual wealth.

Korda Solid Bags
How to Tie the Sneaky Rig #1 Rig Tutorials This week we re going to let you into a little secret called
the Sneaky Rig . Why the name the sneaky rig you ask, well it s made up of common components but
with a little edge that I guaranty will never have been used on your lake before. This rig has resulted in
large carp captures from very pressured and difficult venues. Designed for the wariest of carp that s
seen every trick in the book. This rig is tangle proof and ideal for most lake bottoms. Let s get started
The components you will need for this rig is the following: Size 6 hook (Korda Kurv or Krank
patterns work are ideal) Korda N trap soft 15lb/20lb 3oz square pear lead ESP anti tangle sleeves
Korda shockleader sleeves Korda ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Step 7: Make a solid bag You will need a PVA solid bag for this step I personally like the Korda Solid
Bags (small). Firstly add the hooklink into the bag and hook it to the bottom. Make sure the hair is not
tangled then start adding your pellets. Fill up half the bag with pellets then squeeze the bag and knock
it gently on a side of a bucket so the pellets get into every little gap. Now add the lead into the bag and
lightly fill the bag a little more pellets up to ¾ full but make sure you don t fill it up to much. Twist the
bag and knock it again to make it solid then lick the twisted area. If you re casting the bag at a long
distance you can make it even more aerodynamic by folding back the corners and securing them with
a little saliva. Conclusion So there you go you have now learnt an awesomely effective Sneaky rig that
catches big carp. Hope you ve learnt something from the guide and if you have made any adjustments
or tweaks of your own to the Sneaky Rig then let us know in the comments below we love to hear
about them! Remember to check out our tackle reviews and more carpy

Obedience In The Milgram Experiment
Introduction Don t eat that, Steve! yells a worried mother from across the park. Her son, Steve, about
to put a chunk of dirt into his mouth looks up at her, confused. That s dirt, son, we don t eat that , says
his mother in a gentle and reassuring voice. Promptly, the boy obeys her, leaving the dirt on the
ground and running to her arms. Babies like Steve know that, because their mom says so, they should
or shouldn t do certain things. This early form of obedience is present in human beings from a very
early age. This is represented in babies obeying simple commands or prohibitions from their mother
(Stayton, Hogan, Mary D. 1971). This was found to be connected to the mother s responses to the
baby s actions, such as her tone and her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most people would not step in the square if they heard Nate firmly tell them to not do so. This is due
to the fact that people tend to associate authority with firmness as it was with Stanley s experiment.
Furthermore, it is an innate response to obey people whose tone we recognize to be linked with
negative consequences from when we were babies. The same can be said for why people tended to
step on the square more often if Nate used more gentle tone, as authority is not connected to this sort
of tone since early development. It is a social norm to obey people whose voices reflect authority and
to disregard those who do not have this tone. When posed with a situation as bizarre as this one,
people will follow their instincts in order that they may not break the norm. Humans may not be
animals like dogs, but they tend to regard authority as something to be obeyed, even if said authority
is not really what it claims to

The Imperial Republic
The Imperial Republic
Why did the U.S. Pursue Imperialism The US begun to close the frontier which increased fears that
the resources the country had were dwindling. This fear of dwindling resources would push the US to
find resources abroad. The US had also had a taste of power when it subjugated the Indian tribes and
had grown used to exerting colonial control over dependent people. The 1893 depression drove
businessmen to look overseas for new markets. There was also a surge in efficiency that created many
new products that needed to be sold in these new overseas markets. The idea of Social Darwinism
again played a role in the US pursue of imperialism, the idea was that the weaker races of the world

Silence In The Play Trifles
The play Trifles takes place during 1957 when women were silenced; they were only addressed and
not spoken to or able to speak. They were not able to vote or partake in any dominant activities.
Nevertheless, we see both females, Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Hale, form a silent sisterly bond while
unintentionally uncovering motives for Mr. Wrights murder. The women were not given permission to
help with the crime, while gathering items which Mrs. Wright had requested but they did it with
natural senses due to activities they take on within the household as well.
Therefore silence is firstly seen in the play when Mrs. Wright says She would wear pretty clothes and
be lively, when she was Minnie Foster, one of the town girls singing in the choir (Glaspell) says Mrs.
Hale, but that was thirty years ago before she married Mr. Wright and all her liveliness left her. When
she moved in with Mr. Wright, they lived down in a hollow and you don t see the road (Glaspell) this

Hale is also silent by slipping the box under quilt pieces and adding more quilt pieces over the bird to
hide evidence. She becomes silenced because she knows what being a farm wife does and how much
work is put into it. She also feels horrible for never visiting for over a year and sympathizes quickly
and feels the need to be silent in protecting Mrs. Wright.
Nevertheless Mr. Wright and the canary are seen as most silenced in the play. Mr. Wright wrung the
neck of the canary and that caused Mrs. Wright to snap, because then she strangles her husband. He
had killed the only thing that gave her joy while living in silence. Mr. Wright is also seen as a silent
man because he didn t want to place a telephone line in the house that Mr. Hale had suggested. Both
deaths were the biggest silencers of the play. Just as the bird was lived in a cage and was silenced so
did Minnie Foster. Disconnecting from the people and becoming silent made her home the bird cage

Hovis Advert Essay
Media Coursework Hovis Advert Analysis In this essay, I will be analysing the 2008, £15 million
Hovis TV advertisement. Filmed in Liverpool with a cast of over 750 extras, director Ringan
Ledwidge portrays a young boy (13 year old Brian Mackie) buying a loaf of bread in 1886, which was
when the first Hovis loaf of bread was sold, and then travelling with the bread tucked under him arm,
through 12 decades in British History. The concept behind the advert is to show that Hovis has been
around for 122 years and is a British Institution. For this reason, the advert lasts 122 seconds; each
second depicting each year. The product is shown to be just as good, hence the slogan As good today
as it s always been . Throughout this advert, a range ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Firstly, in the baker show at the beginning of the advert, the music is slightly upbeat evoking a sense
of anticipation. During the wartime bombed area, the music bed level drops and it changes to only
slow piano chords to signify the depression and misery of the location. Additionally, it creates tension
and emotion for the audience. This music also mirrors the boy s feelings through the tempo and pitch.
The music returns again quietly, with violins playing in a solemn and respectful way for the loss of life
from the war. It then begins to build up again with Churchill s speech, bringing a sense of defiance and
a feeling of pride. Another illustration of the music in the advert reflecting the mood of the scene is
during the world cup setting. The pace of the melody picks up and the dynamics increase to show
excitement, joy and energy. It gets louder and even more instruments are added. In the millennium
setting, the tune is at a very fast pace with many diverse instruments all playing at the same time,
which gives strong emphasis on the environment s joyful and ecstatic setting. Throughout the advert,
there are a variety of non diegetic and diegetic sounds. The music in this advert is the only non
diegetic sound. A number of diegetic sounds are used, for example, when the car is passing by in the
world cup scene, the chants the fans are yelling are diegetic as the young boy can hear them. This

Rachel s Philanderism
Though Rachel do say a lot of random funny things like give up the goat (23). However most of her
misleading saying follows an irony. For example in book three when Rachel says I m willing to be a
philanderist for peace (269). Rachel really meant a philanthropist, the type of person who is
goodhearted and kind. I did not know the words philanderist so I looked up in the dictionary and it
comes from the word philanderer which means a man who likes many women or a womanizer. This is
ironic because that s the person Rachel kind of became at the end after she went through multiple
husbands. I enjoyed reading Rachel s parts because with all the serious political events and somber
personal events going on in the book, it is a pleasure to see

Colorism And African-American Culture
Colorism is a form of prejudice in which people are treated differently based on skin color. The
subject matter of colorism can be greatly argued amongst the African American culture. Because of
the direct biased attitudes towards skin color there has been a manifestation of internal oppression
within the Black race. According to the article, The Persistent Problem of Colorism: Skin Tone, Status,
and Inequality (Hunter 2007), researchers confirmed that fair skinned people have clear advantages
over dark skinned people in areas such as education, politics and income. Nevertheless, dark skinned
people of color are more genuine and approved than fair skinned people. Colorism has had a
tremendous impact on the African American culture and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Self esteem plays a major role in colorism because it affects how you see and feel about yourself, how
you treat yourself, and your actual behaviors in various situations. Studies that examined skin color in
the lives of 123 African American adolescents (aged 11 19 years) found complexion to be related to
self esteem, but the study also brought additional complexity to the issue. Students who self reported
as lighter or darker had lower levels of satisfaction with their skin color than did students whose skin
color was classified as somewhere in between . (Davis, 2015). Colorism can affect how we are judged
by other African Americans. For African American girls, self evaluation may be seen as a liking for
physical characteristics that they believe will be judged more favorably (i.e., lighter skin color, longer
hair, and passionate features, etc.). This might cause a risk for African American girls who may not
follow this standard. Higher sexual risk and substance abuse behavior by African American girls can
be contributed to internalizing colorism attitudes. Skin bleaching is another important risk behavior.
Skin bleaching is widely known throughout the Caribbean, Africa, and in the United States, posing
several serious and negative health effects on the human body, including mercury poisoning,
permanent thinning of the skin, premature aging of the skin, increased risk of skin

A Comparison Of Life And Respiration For Speech
A Comparison of Respiration for Life and Respiration for Speech Respiration is a necessary bodily
function in sustaining life. Its basic objective is to oxygenate blood and remove carbon dioxide by way
of four stages: ventilation, distribution, perfusion, and diffusion (Seikel, Drumright, King, 2016, p.
147). Respiration is also vital to the production of speech, but the way in which respiration occurs
while producing speech is different than the process of respiration for life in a few ways. Respiration
for life is a passive process while respiration for speech is an active process, requiring some conscious
effort. During respiration for speech, the respiration cycle is altered in order to maintain appropriate

intercostals, innermost intercostals, transversus thoracis, subcostals, and serratus posterior inferior.
The function of the interosseous portion of the internal intercostals and the innermost intercostals is to
depress ribs 1 11. The transversus thoracis are found on the inner surface of the rib cage and function
to depress the rib cage for forced expiration. Within the inner wall of the thorax the subcostals can be
found, functioning to depress the thorax. Contraction of the serratus posterior inferior muscles helps to
pull the rib cage down, supporting expiration. Abdominal muscles of expiration include the
transversus abdominis, internal oblique abdominis, external oblique abdominis, rectus abdominis, and
quadratus lumborum. Of all the anterior abdominal muscles, the transversus abdominis is the deepest
and its function is to compress the abdomen. Positioned in between the transversus abdominis and the
external oblique abdominis, the internal oblique abdominis rotates and flexes the trunk as well as
compresses the abdomen. The most superficial and biggest group of abdominal muscles are the
external oblique abdominis. When these muscles contract bilaterally, they flex the vertebral column
and compress the abdomen. When they are contracted unilaterally, they rotate the trunk. The rectus
abdominis muscles run along the midline of the body and are responsible for flexion of the vertebral

Contract Law Vs. Kent Case
Contract law has set out to provide a healthy trade environment. Contracts are promises enforced by
the law, with the support of something of value that has a legal purpose. It is an agreement between
parties, formed by the elements: offer and acceptance, with all parties having the capacity to perform
obligations enforceable by law. There are instances where the enforcement of a contract would bring
about gains or losses to society and commerce. In the Jacob Youngs, Incorporated vs. George E. Kent
case, Jacob Youngs, the plaintiff, claims that there was a breach of a clause in the contract with the
defendant, George E. Kent. The clause stated that any work that is either defective or not in

Also, the replacement of the piping would have resulted in the wasting away of materials that went
into the construction of the house. To the courts, and in my view, this would not have been the best
allocation of resources in society as the time, and labour that went into the development would be
sunk. The relief that the plaintiff obtains the remaining balance for building the house promotes
society s well being so that honest mistakes, as long as their costs are not substantially great, are
forgiven and that unconscionable judgments are not made. The Osprey LLC vs. Kelly Moore Paint Co
case primarily deals with the use of language in a contract. The defendant, Kelly Moore, leased
commercial property from Osprey, the plaintiff, under a fifteen year contract with two five year
renewal options. The clause in the contract stated that notice of the renewal of the lease shall be given
in writing and may be delivered either personally or by depositing the same in the United States mail...
Kelly Moore faxed the second renewal to Osprey but Osprey claims to have never received it and sued
Kelly Moore for breaching the contract. The court reasoned that the faxed delivery is sufficient
enough to renew the lease. Justice Kauger delivered the majority opinion that examined the elements
of this binding agreement. In this examination, the court used a two step analysis to determine whether
it would be fair to rule

Oedipus The King Jocasta Essay
She had an obligation to conduct such research, which could have been by starting further dialogue
with Oedipus to inquire into his background and ensure that he was indeed not her son. As a result, the
scars on Oedipus s ankles and his limp were sufficient evidence to put the responsibility on Jocasta to
further inquire into the matter before marrying Oedipus, and puts the blame on her for the marriage
that results. The fact that Oedipus s appearance resembled that of Jocasta s first husband, Laius, was
another piece of evidence that should have caused Jocasta to identify Oedipus as her son; this
combined with the fact that Jocasta did not ascertain her son s death was sufficient to obligate Jocasta
to further inquire into the background of Oedipus. When Oedipus asks Jocasta to ... Show more

interpretation of this is that Jocasta realized the truth and attempts to have Oedipus accept it as well;
she wants him to [brush] the fear aside ( Jocasta: Mother and Wife ). This interpretation seems to solve
the puzzle as to how Jocasta had an overwhelming amount of evidence to realize that Oedipus was her
son and still never revealed the truth to Oedipus; whether this interpretation is true or not, it still shows
Jocasta s ignorance and puts her at fault for the

The Causes Of Climate Change
Introduction:
Hi! My name is Aliyah. Did you feel any changes in the climate during the past few years? Have you
notice how hot it was last September? This is happening due to climate change. Today i will elaborate
on the causes, the effects and how we can help. Climate change is the change in weather patterns
which can last for extended period of time, even millions of years. Climate change affects the
greenhouse effect. Without greenhouse gases, the temperature on Earth would be too cold to support
life. With too much, it would heat up beyond survivable levels.
Body:
What is causing climate change?
The Earth s climate can be affected by natural factors, such as changes in volcanic activity, solar
output, and the Earth s orbit around the Sun. However, carbon dioxide is the main cause of human
induced climate change. It can also be caused by the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, pollution
from industries and transportation.
What countries are the most affected or in danger? The countries that contribute more to the climate
change is China, US, and India. According to the results, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Bangladesh
and China could be most affected by climate change. For example, China is badly affected as the cities
are covered by a thick layer smog most of the year, caused by air pollution. If this continues, the
Maldives will completely disappear in 30 years because the sea level is rising and the land is low.
What are the effects? Plants and animals are

difference is that Amazon operates and distributes from its own warehouses, whereas Google operates
like a high end postal service, shuttling packages from local retailer to customer. There are several
advantages and disadvantages that can result from supply chain processes of each of these companies.

Amazon and Google Express are two such retailers who are concentrating especially on these
functions by acquiring related technology firms and by engaging in R D. In the future, the e retailer
who offers the fastest delivery will likely be the front runner (Keifer). The competition is intense from
e grocers like Ocado, to clothing retailers like Next and traditional mail services like FedEx. The latest
trend in the industry, after offering maximum variety and flexible payment options, is competition for
same day delivery. Companies like eBay, Walmart, Amazon and Google Express have all started
efforts to try and offer same day delivery. The key to offering same day delivery is to have products
stored near the potential customer. In the following sections we will explain the supply chains of
Amazon and Google Express and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of their respective
business model/supply chain. Amazon Introduction: Amazon was launched in 2005 with its
headquarters in Seattle. It initially offered $79/year for two day delivery nationwide for unlimited

Computer Based Instruction As An Adult Learner
Computer based instruction, or CBI, is widely used to deliver content to learners of all ages. Although
this form of instructional delivery has become nearly ubiquitous, levels of effectiveness of CBI vary,
particularly when considering computer based instruction for adults. In 2005, researchers Janis Lowe
and Elwood Holton, III developed a theory regarding the elements necessary for an effective CBI
experience with adult learners and then drew five conclusions based on their investigation. Lowe and
Holton (2005) acknowledged a need for both external support and instructional support if an adult
learner s CBI experience will be deemed positive. Of their five conclusions, this one was of particular
interest to me based on the different computer based instruction experiences I have had. My first
experience with a course conducted completely using computer based instruction as an adult learner
occurred during the fall semester of 2007. I was nearing the completion of my first Master s degree
and enrolled in ED500A, which was an educational research class. Although I had extensive
experience utilizing technology and the Internet, and had dabbled in CBI, this course was conducted
entirely online and proved to be challenging for me. The challenges were not due to the content, but
were based on the limited connectivity with other course participants and the instructor. I quickly
adapted to the format of the course expectations and developed a schedule in order to meet

Using Celling And Clustering Mechanisms
Cell LEACH [10] is based on celling and clustering mechanisms as shown in figure below; in fact,
sensors are divided in sections which are called cells, then after the selection of a head of cells is done,
the formation of a new cluster is achieved by the grouping of seven near cells .In this approach, it is
required to transfer the cell data to the cell head in designated time using TDM (Time Division
Multiplexing) method . This method is also used for delivering data from cell head to cluster head.
Before transferring data to cluster heads, cell heads remove redundant information and aggregate
received information from different sensors
E. LEACH E
LEACH E [11] protocol would improve the CH selection process compared to LEACH protocol. As
LEACH protocol; this improved version is divided into different rounds. All the sensor nodes would
have the same probability to be CH of the cluster in the first round. After the first round of
transmission the residual energy of each node would get different, The selection of a node as CH is
based on residual energy which means the one which has the highest residual energy would be chosen
as CH of the cluster and other nodes with less energy will represent the members of the cluster.
F. Enhanced LEACH (E LEACH)
E LEACH [12] is based on LEACH protocol to balance the energy consumption of sensor nodes in
order to solve the overload energy consumption problem. This protocol adopts the same round concept
with the original LEACH. The

From the beginning, Muslims have always been unhappy with the presence of Israel in Muslim land ,
specifically Palestine. This conflict is the main reason why Hamas was created and why they are so
popular in the Middle East. Hamas officially published its charter or The Covenant of the Islamic
Resistance Movement on August 18, 1988. Hamas is a Palestinian nationalistic and Islamic
fundamentalist organization. The charter spells out the organizations objectives, goals, and end state

of Palestine that was stolen by Israel. The charter also states the goals of establishing an Islamic
Palestinian state in the West Bank and The Gaza Strip, the total destruction of Israel, the return of all
Palestinian refugees back to Israel and East Jerusalem, and East Jerusalem be recognized as the
Palestinian capital. When Hamas published its charter, it created a rift between the Muslim

Conflict And Conflict In The Bottom Billion By John Collier
In The Bottom Billion by Collier, he persuasively explains the reasons unindustrialized countries are
developing at low rates. In addition, Collier proposes policies in an effort to get away from the
sluggishness. Even though Collier has emphasized on the geopolitical affairs in the developing
countries, there are shortcomings in his highlights. Collier does not take into account the historical
context of those countries. Collier too does not take into consideration the role of Western countries in
those four traps and the gaps in the available statistics about the poor countries. It is evident that
Collier utilizes information from discussions he had with African leaders rather than taking a broader
view of other people who have had experiences in those countries. Nonetheless, Collier has presented
a strong piece in his book The Bottom Billion.Collier also outlines four traps that are the cause of the
stagnation of the poorest countries, which include; increased conflict, the supply of natural resources,
and the characteristic of being landlocked, and poor governance.
Notably, conflict is the first trap cited by Collier. Increased conflict can be attributed to civil wars in
Africa. Thus, conflict impedes growth due to the costs associated with the civil wars. A significant
percentage of the citizens of the poorest countries have experienced civil wars. Collier recommends
the use of military forces to intervene in civil wars and restore order within those countries.

I aim to analyze the disparity in African American s access to counseling psychological services.
According to literature such as Andre Bean s An examination of factors that contribute to African
Americans inability to seek professional psychological help , Black people under use mental health

Historically, Black Americans have been reluctant to pursue mental health treatment. Bean (2007)

A Study Interview On Relationship Between Education And...
Holding the idea of collaboration in policy making, Tell, (2012) through the study interview in relation
to education quality, teachers applauded the value of teachers and students participation in educational
policy making as one of the components of education boosts. While asserting their point, teachers
pinpointed that:
[...T] he answer to [the] quality of education is largely laid within their jurisdiction. The government
and other stakeholders can put forward all theories to improve education but that will just be another
merry go round, because we (teachers) and our students are the only group of stakeholders who have
the genuine answer. (Telli, 2012, p) Again teachers bring into attention the idea of what Sahlberg,
(2007) called the culture of trust simply, a situation where people with high authority in education
trust other groups such as principals, parents and their communities, who have the quest of providing
the unsurpassed education for their children and youth (p, 157). In general, the primary idea of shared

Further features of the disorder emerge as people try to make sense of the hallucinations.

The intention is to show schizophrenics that their hallucinations are not real. As yet, however, there is
no evidence that this will provide a successful treatment.
The research by Brown and Birley was a retrospective study where data is collected after events have
occurred. In other words, once a person had developed schizophrenia they were asked about events
leading up to the onset. It is quite likely that recall would be negatively affected by the events
surrounding the onset of schizophrenia so such evidence may be unreliable.
Prospective studies are preferable, where people are studied after the onset of the disorder. Hirsch et al
followed 71 schizophrenic patients over a 48 week period. It was clear that life events made a
significant cumulative (increasing) contribution in the 12 months preceding relapse rather than
immediately prior to the schizophrenic episode. This does support the retrospective research.
However, not all research supports the importance of life stressors. For example, Van Os et al reported
no link between life events and the onset of schizophrenia. In the prospective part of the study,
patients who had experienced a major life event went on to have a lower incidence of relapse rather
than an increased risk as predicted.
One criticism of this research is that it is correlational. Therefore, we cannot infer a causal

At the start of the novel Jane realised it was morally wrong in her society to be pregnant but she tries
to be strong to admit the truth to her father:
I m pregnant I said. These two words shocked even me with their crudeness. I instantly wished I d said
the softer I m going to have a baby. The blunt statement of the biological fact had the same after
echoes as a slap across his face.
The writer has made me feel that Jane thought some weight would ease of her mind by being strong
and telling her father, as he may understand as she is the only child with no mother. However the
sharpness of the truth hits Jane at the same time as she admits the truth because she realises she is in
the situation and she is not generally stating something that will have no affect on her. I think the dash
reveals extra feelings, of how she now feels after admitting the truth but in addition to this the
sentence before and after the dash is a vivid contrast. Before the dash it suggests what she said was
simple and straightforward words but it compares the effect of the words after the dash which shows
the words are shocking. Echoes as a slap across the face shows how forceful the words actually
sounded.
This phrase is a simile which compares her words as being worse than a slap. In my opinion the word

competitive side, which makes it really amusing to watch. At the same time, I felt like I was part of the
community when I attended the Kennett Delta Parade. Parades combine some of my favorite things:
community, faith, family, patriotism, and simply being involved. Events like these bring everyone
together. However, I chose this specific event because I show up every year and really enjoy coming
to watch. Not only is it thrilling, but it also keeps me from staying home. I will continue to attend to
this event in the future because every year it is different. I surely do not plan on missing any of it. The
sensation of the Kennett Delta Fair Parade is something I look forward to every year.

Unwritten By Natasha Bedingfield Analysis
I believe that if there were a song to represent my life, Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield would be a
great choice. It summarizes my beliefs, who I am at this point in my life and who I aspire to be. The
song Unwritten relates to me because the word unwritten means that there is no documented, set in
stone story and/or outcome. This makes it possible for characters, plots, and endings to change at any
given moment. Meaning it will become written as the journey (my life) progresses. In the lyrics it
states I m just beginning, the pen s in my hand, ending unplanned, Staring at the blank page before
you . This is similar to how I feel because of the fact that I am only 13 and my entire life (the blank
page) is ahead of me ready to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, to achieve this I need to let go of any and all worries or inhibitions that could deprive me of
fulfilling and executing my life goals. Feel the rain on your skin, No one else can feel it for you, Only
you can let it in, No one else, no one else, Can speak the words on your lips is personally extremely
motivating because I want to experience everything for myself. I think that No one else can feel it for
you is relevant to my life because I want to take as many opportunities in life as possible and should
not give them up for anyone. In life I hope that I can be open to new activities, no matter the price. I
think that within this song, the lyrics Drench yourself in words unspoken, Live your life with arms
wide open best describe my philosophy stated in the previous sentence. Drenching myself in words
unspoken , in my opinion, is surrounding myself with new challenges and possibilities that I ve never
tried. Also, living with arms wide open seems to me like an expression to emphasize embracing
anything and everything that comes along in life, as well as not to be weary or

Sustainable Development Is Possible For Academic Research
During the last eleven years my work in Belize has evidenced that sustainable development is possible
when academic research incorporates community direction, and recognizes local expertise as a
component in the formation of new knowledge. Indeed, we are able to manage problems and in many
cases improve lives by collaborating to undertake community driven and academically supported
initiatives. What is sometimes misunderstood in the context of academia, community based research
promotes the creation of new knowledge through multiple sources including academia, local tacit
expertise, and cultural context (Strand, Marullo, Cutforth, Stoecker, Donohue, 2003). Collaborative
solutions to issues and challenges that work within the parameters of local resources are paramount to
sustainability. Moreover, sustainability is critical in effecting a lasting improvement in the human
condition. The projects that I implemented in December of 2014 and December of 2015 particularly
those directed at soil quality are indicators of the effectiveness and sustainability of these collaborative
efforts.
Although these projects may seem diverse, in the context of addressing the challenges of food
insecurity, poverty, lack of access to clean water, and environmental degradation; interdisciplinary
solutions in the framework of the integrated natural resource management model could be employed
to resolve these issues (Sanchez, Palm, Buol, 2003, p. 159). Agricultural communities especially with

The Crucible Weaknesses
Tested, Strong and Unbreakable When faced with a difficult task some people respond better than
others. Some people may give no effort because something is too challenging or involves too much
work. Others may take action and work hard to succeed. Some people have the fear of failure. In The
Crucible by Arthur Miller, some characters succeed through tough tasks and others accept defeat.
Abigail Williams is a 17 year old girl who wants to have a good reputation in the town, but she also
takes many interesting actions to boost her reputation. John Proctor is a wealthy farmer who is married
to Elizabeth Proctor. John gets into a heated conflict with his wife after she finds out about the affair
he had with Abigail Williams. In The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She must be ripped out of the world (Miller 929). Abigail accuses Elizabeth of being a witch which
makes her like a crucible because this is a hard test. It is not easy to accuse someone of a severe crime
like murder when it is false, and get away with it. Abigail plotted this by stabbing herself and gave lots
of evidence to defend her statement of Elizabeth being a witch. Also Elizabeth then states that Abigail
is lying but Abigail s evidence is too strong. Abigail makes Cheever believe she is innocent when
Elizabeth claims she is lying. Abigail passed another hard test and used solid evidence which makes
her resemble a crucible. The last reason to show Abigail is like a crucible comes from Act three. Act 3
is the first court scene where people start being accused of witchcraft. Abigail accuses Elizabeth
Proctor of witchcraft. During the court sessions John Proctor and Mary Warren both claim that Abigail
is faking her sickness and isn t actually seeing witches. They both say that Abigail accused Elizabeth
Proctor of witchcraft so she can be with John, who she had an affair with. Abigail gets angry so she
fakes seeing a bird that Mary Warren sent out. Abigail crying in fear Oh, Mary, this is a black art to
change your shape (Miller 950). Abigail is given another test and that is to prove she is not faking her
sickness and she is actually seeing witches. She passes this test by making the judge believe that Mary
Warren is attacking her. She comes up with

Traditional Drug Discovery Methods used trial and error approach substances were introduce to
animals or in vitro on the target without any prior knowledge of what would be the result. The effects
observed in these cases are examined the treatments for the disease. For example, if a drug gives an
effect to a pancreas cells, it can tested for insulin related disease like diabetes.
2. Rational Drug Discovery approach starts with a hypothesis, typically the modification of a present
known molecule giving a therapeutic effect. After selection of biologic, the next process is screening,
this involves the screening of many variants of the prospective therapy. It is a common practice to use:
High Throughput Screening Once a target has been selected, it is usually cloned and expressed to
generate thousands or millions of exact copies which are then incubated separately known as screens
and can be test on the target (Rollins et al,. 2014) A positive reaction are called hits and further
screened to determine if it act on particular target or other targets too. Hit more targets produce a toxic
effect in following trials in animals and humans. The best hits labeled as a lead compound, and can go
for further testing and the others are labeled as backups.
Other method uses extracts from a natural product like plant derived molecules, antimicrobials from
microorganisms, active compounds.
What to test in animal in vivo testing four commonly used species:

Don Pio Pico Don Pio Pico, a renowned figure of early Mexican/American culture, was known for his exquisite fashion sense, intelligence and leadership, whose family experience with early California authority and religion progressed the integration of both societies. During his childhood, Pio s father isn t just a symbol of his leadership, as he moves from a man of wealth and taste to an inspirational political force, whose father becomes a symbol of his political rise in defining his own identity. Nonetheless, I found the Pico mansion to be quaint, surrounded by growing grapes and many other native plants, like rosemary, agave, and lavender, along with pillars and skilled crafted objects by the family, perhaps, directly tied to their Mexican, Spanish, African and Italian roots. The Adobe is built of thousands of earthen blocks. The fact that most of the walls are original is a testament to the skill of the masons who built it. • 5. Engine Of Evolution Chapter Summaries Chapter 1 What Is Evolution? In chapter one of the selected text given it goes over six main components being: evolution, gradualism, speciation, common ancestry, natural selection, and nonselective mechanisms of evolutionary change. These six components are broken down from the larger idea that life began with one species and eventually broke off and evolved into many new and different branches of species. Even in reading this, I do not believe that we all came from one species. I feel that evolution is true to an extent that while species do evolve over time (which is the concept of gradualism) we did not all evolve from one parasitic creature. To start simply the first component evolution in itself to me means that overtime a creature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main lesson of biogeography is that only evolution can explain the diversity of life on continents and islands. (Coyne 109).In convergent evolution 3 of the six components discussed in chapter 1 are working together. These 3 components are common ancestry, speciation, and natural selection. If evolution did exist, ancestors of species today that lived in the same place, when dug up, should be fossils that resemble organisms today. Chapter 5 The Engine of Evolution In this chapter of the selected text for the course they talk of the three things involved in adaptation. First and foremost, there has to be variation in the population, second, the variation has to come from genes changes, and the third is that the genetic variation must affect the probability of offspring. Evolution by selection is a combination of randomness and lawfulness. (Coyne 118). I also learned that the only difference between natural selection and artificial selection is that on one hand the changes occurring are being made to happen by a breeder (artificial) whereas the other is random selection due to environmental and survival changes ... Mitch, now a corporate lapdog, revisits one of his old college professors after he hears that he has contracted ALS, a terminal disease with no known cure. Mitch and his old professor, Morrie, discuss Morrie s life every tuesday, and these talks continuously make Mitch a better person than who he was. Throughout this book many different themes are touched upon. One of these such theme is the theme, and also Morrie s saying, Love or Perish . Throughout the book Morrie regularly hammers in the point that to live without love, is to not live at all. Morrie is able to explain to Mitch that the essence of love is the reason which ... Morrie relays that without his wife, without his nurses, and most importantly without Mitch, he would not have been able to last as long as he did with his ALS. Another theme throughout the book is that Morrie teaches Mitch to live life his own way. Morrie is disgusted by america s lust for greed, fakeness, and violence, and teaches to establish your own way of thinking. While the O.J. Simpson case was going on, Morrie completely shut himself off from the case, and instead focused on his family and friends. Morrie built his life on the foundation of love and forgiving, two things that are shunned in America, in Morrie s eyes. Morrie teaches Mitch that creating his own values and beliefs leads to a much more enjoyable life than accepting mainstream America. One more theme evident in Tuesdays with Morrie is the theme that life is full of choices. • 8. Relationship Between Communication And Errors Solution Description The relationship between communication and errors has been well established in the healthcare setting, affecting patient safety and placing the organization in a position of risk (Friesen, Hughes and Zorn, 2007; Wasserman, 2014, Sears et al, 2013). Errors still occur, however, and there is a focus on how healthcare can learn from the behaviors of high reliability industries (Verschoor et al, 2007). One such behavior is that of a Safety Briefing (DSB), through which an organization empowers every employee to be able to report issues that have an effect, or potential effect on safety processes (Kelly, 2013; Rice, 2013; Steelman, 2014). The members of the DSB then have the responsibility for identification of poor processes, system failures and remediation of issues. Safety issues arise in this organization on a daily basis and are reported through an interdisciplinary online tool. Each occurrence report is written by a staff member and routed to the department supervisor. This supervisor forwards the report to any other relevant departments for their review. So, for example, if a patient is admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) from the operating room (OR) with a pressure ulcer, the event is written up by the ICU staff and routed to the ICU supervisor, who then forwards to the ICU manager, the OR manager, the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. Each staffed area has an identified responsible person to follow up on any issue that may affect the patients ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Investigate how the Concentration of a Sucrose Solution... Investigate how the Concentration of a Sucrose Solution affects the Rate of Osmosis Introduction: Diffusion is the movement of particles from a high concentration to a low concentration until they are spread out evenly. An example of diffusion is when an aerosol is sprayed. The particles spread out from the high concentration at the nozzle into the rest of the room and that is how the smell moves. Osmosis is the passage of water molecules from a weaker solution to a stronger solution through a partially permeable membrane. Osmosis is a type of diffusion involving water the water molecules move from a weak solution (with a high concentration of water) into a strong solution (with a low concentration of water). The cell membrane in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reason I predict that three will increase in mass and two decrease is because in my preliminary experiment this was shown to be the case in these concentrations, however this could change in my real experiment. The chips that increase in mass have taken on more water which means that at the beginning of the experiment the sucrose solution had a higher concentration of water than the chip and this is likely to apply to the weaker sucrose solutions as they have a low concentration of sugar and therefore a high percentage of water molecules. The strong sucrose solutions have a higher percentage of sugar molecules and therefore a lower percentage of water molecules and if the concentration of water in the potato chip is higher than in the solution then water will leave the potato chip by osmosis and therefore the chip will lose mass. The water molecules move into cells that contain a lower concentration due to the difference in osmotic potential between cells. The water molecules move through a semi permeable membrane (the cell membrane) which has big enough holes in it to let through the small water molecules, but not the bigger sucrose molecules. At a certain concentration of sucrose solution the concentration of water will be the same in both the chip and the solution which means there will be no transferral of water between the two ... • 10. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Packet Sniffers A packet sniffer can only capture packet information within a given subnet. So, it s not possible for a malicious attacker to place a packet sniffer on their home ISP network and capture network traffic from inside your corporate network. In order to do so, the packet sniffer needs to be running on a computer that is inside the corporate network as well. However, if one machine on the internal network becomes compromised through a Trojan or other security breach, the intruder could run a packet sniffer from that machine and use the captured username and password information in order to compromise other machines on the network. Packet sniffers are very hard to detect because they are passive, which means the sit on background reading the network stream and never send out data. So unless we know it s there we can t find it. Fill up half the bag with pellets then squeeze the bag and knock it gently on a side of a bucket so the pellets get into every little gap. Now add the lead into the bag and lightly fill the bag a little more pellets up to ¾ full but make sure you don t fill it up to much. Twist the bag and knock it again to make it solid then lick the twisted area. If you re casting the bag at a long distance you can make it even more aerodynamic by folding back the corners and securing them with a little saliva. • 12. Obedience In The Milgram Experiment Introduction Don t eat that, Steve! yells a worried mother from across the park. Her son, Steve, about to put a chunk of dirt into his mouth looks up at her, confused. That s dirt, son, we don t eat that , says his mother in a gentle and reassuring voice. Promptly, the boy obeys her, leaving the dirt on the ground and running to her arms. Babies like Steve know that, because their mom says so, they should or shouldn t do certain things. This early form of obedience is present in human beings from a very early age. This is represented in babies obeying simple commands or prohibitions from their mother (Stayton, Hogan, Mary D. 1971). This was found to be connected to the mother s responses to the baby s actions, such as her tone and her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most people would not step in the square if they heard Nate firmly tell them to not do so. This is due to the fact that people tend to associate authority with firmness as it was with Stanley s experiment. Furthermore, it is an innate response to obey people whose tone we recognize to be linked with negative consequences from when we were babies. The same can be said for why people tended to step on the square more often if Nate used more gentle tone, as authority is not connected to this sort of tone since early development. It is a social norm to obey people whose voices reflect authority and to disregard those who do not have this tone. When posed with a situation as bizarre as this one, people will follow their instincts in order that they may not break the norm. They were not able to vote or partake in any dominant activities. The women were not given permission to help with the crime, while gathering items which Mrs. Wright had requested but they did it with natural senses due to activities they take on within the household as well. Therefore silence is firstly seen in the play when Mrs. Wright says She would wear pretty clothes and be lively, when she was Minnie Foster, one of the town girls singing in the choir (Glaspell) says Mrs. Hale, but that was thirty years ago before she married Mr. Wright and all her liveliness left her. The concept behind the advert is to show that Hovis has been around for 122 years and is a British Institution. For this reason, the advert lasts 122 seconds; each second depicting each year. During the wartime bombed area, the music bed level drops and it changes to only slow piano chords to signify the depression and misery of the location. Additionally, it creates tension and emotion for the audience. This music also mirrors the boy s feelings through the tempo and pitch. The music returns again quietly, with violins playing in a solemn and respectful way for the loss of life from the war. It then begins to build up again with Churchill s speech, bringing a sense of defiance and a feeling of pride. Another illustration of the music in the advert reflecting the mood of the scene is during the world cup setting. The pace of the melody picks up and the dynamics increase to show excitement, joy and energy. It gets louder and even more instruments are added. In the millennium setting, the tune is at a very fast pace with many diverse instruments all playing at the same time, which gives strong emphasis on the environment s joyful and ecstatic setting. Throughout the advert, there are a variety of non diegetic and diegetic sounds. The music in this advert is the only non diegetic sound. The subject matter of colorism can be greatly argued amongst the African American culture. Because of the direct biased attitudes towards skin color there has been a manifestation of internal oppression within the Black race. According to the article, The Persistent Problem of Colorism: Skin Tone, Status, and Inequality (Hunter 2007), researchers confirmed that fair skinned people have clear advantages over dark skinned people in areas such as education, politics and income. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Self esteem plays a major role in colorism because it affects how you see and feel about yourself, how you treat yourself, and your actual behaviors in various situations. Studies that examined skin color in the lives of 123 African American adolescents (aged 11 19 years) found complexion to be related to self esteem, but the study also brought additional complexity to the issue. Students who self reported as lighter or darker had lower levels of satisfaction with their skin color than did students whose skin color was classified as somewhere in between . (Davis, 2015). Colorism can affect how we are judged by other African Americans. For African American girls, self evaluation may be seen as a liking for physical characteristics that they believe will be judged more favorably (i.e., lighter skin color, longer hair, and passionate features, etc.). This might cause a risk for African American girls who may not follow this standard. Higher sexual risk and substance abuse behavior by African American girls can be contributed to internalizing colorism attitudes. Skin bleaching is another important risk behavior. • 21. A Comparison Of Life And Respiration For Speech A Comparison of Respiration for Life and Respiration for Speech Respiration is a necessary bodily function in sustaining life. Its basic objective is to oxygenate blood and remove carbon dioxide by way of four stages: ventilation, distribution, perfusion, and diffusion (Seikel, Drumright, King, 2016, p. 147). Respiration is also vital to the production of speech, but the way in which respiration occurs while producing speech is different than the process of respiration for life in a few ways. Respiration for life is a passive process while respiration for speech is an active process, requiring some conscious effort. During respiration for speech, the respiration cycle is altered in order to maintain appropriate pressures and volumes needed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Positioned in between the transversus abdominis and the external oblique abdominis, the internal oblique abdominis rotates and flexes the trunk as well as compresses the abdomen. The most superficial and biggest group of abdominal muscles are the external oblique abdominis. When these muscles contract bilaterally, they flex the vertebral column and compress the abdomen. The relief that the plaintiff obtains the remaining balance for building the house promotes society s well being so that honest mistakes, as long as their costs are not substantially great, are forgiven and that unconscionable judgments are not made. In 2005, researchers Janis Lowe and Elwood Holton, III developed a theory regarding the elements necessary for an effective CBI experience with adult learners and then drew five conclusions based on their investigation. Lowe and Holton (2005) acknowledged a need for both external support and instructional support if an adult learner s CBI experience will be deemed positive. Of their five conclusions, this one was of particular interest to me based on the different computer based instruction experiences I have had. My first experience with a course conducted completely using computer based instruction as an adult learner occurred during the fall semester of 2007. Using Celling And Clustering Mechanisms Cell LEACH [10] is based on celling and clustering mechanisms as shown in figure below; in fact, sensors are divided in sections which are called cells, then after the selection of a head of cells is done, the formation of a new cluster is achieved by the grouping of seven near cells .In this approach, it is required to transfer the cell data to the cell head in designated time using TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) method . This method is also used for delivering data from cell head to cluster head. Before transferring data to cluster heads, cell heads remove redundant information and aggregate received information from different sensors E. It is evident that Collier utilizes information from discussions he had with African leaders rather than taking a broader view of other people who have had experiences in those countries. Nonetheless, Collier has presented a strong piece in his book The Bottom Billion.Collier also outlines four traps that are the cause of the stagnation of the poorest countries, which include; increased conflict, the supply of natural resources, and the characteristic of being landlocked, and poor governance. Notably, conflict is the first trap cited by Collier. Increased conflict can be attributed to civil wars in Africa. Thus, conflict impedes growth due to the costs associated with the civil wars. The intention is to show schizophrenics that their hallucinations are not real. As yet, however, there is no evidence that this will provide a successful treatment. The research by Brown and Birley was a retrospective study where data is collected after events have occurred. In other words, once a person had developed schizophrenia they were asked about events leading up to the onset. It is quite likely that recall would be negatively affected by the events surrounding the onset of schizophrenia so such evidence may be unreliable. Prospective studies are preferable, where people are studied after the onset of the disorder. Hirsch et al followed 71 schizophrenic patients over a 48 week period. It was clear that life events made a significant cumulative (increasing) contribution in the 12 months preceding relapse rather than immediately prior to the schizophrenic episode. This does support the retrospective research. However, not all research supports the importance of life stressors. For example, Van Os et al reported no link between life events and the onset of schizophrenia. Some people bring in their competitive side, which makes it really amusing to watch. At the same time, I felt like I was part of the community when I attended the Kennett Delta Parade. Parades combine some of my favorite things: community, faith, family, patriotism, and simply being involved. Events like these bring everyone together. However, I chose this specific event because I show up every year and really enjoy coming to watch. Not only is it thrilling, but it also keeps me from staying home. I will continue to attend to this event in the future because every year it is different. I surely do not plan on missing any of it. The sensation of the Kennett Delta Fair Parade is something I look forward to every year. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Unwritten By Natasha Bedingfield Analysis I believe that if there were a song to represent my life, Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield would be a great choice. It summarizes my beliefs, who I am at this point in my life and who I aspire to be. The song Unwritten relates to me because the word unwritten means that there is no documented, set in stone story and/or outcome. This makes it possible for characters, plots, and endings to change at any given moment. Meaning it will become written as the journey (my life) progresses. In the lyrics it states I m just beginning, the pen s in my hand, ending unplanned, Staring at the blank page before you . This is similar to how I feel because of the fact that I am only 13 and my entire life (the blank page) is ahead of me ready to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Feel the rain on your skin, No one else can feel it for you, Only you can let it in, No one else, no one else, Can speak the words on your lips is personally extremely motivating because I want to experience everything for myself. I think that No one else can feel it for you is relevant to my life because I want to take as many opportunities in life as possible and should not give them up for anyone. In life I hope that I can be open to new activities, no matter the price. I think that within this song, the lyrics Drench yourself in words unspoken, Live your life with arms wide open best describe my philosophy stated in the previous sentence. Drenching myself in words unspoken , in my opinion, is surrounding myself with new challenges and possibilities that I ve never tried. Also, living with arms wide open seems to me like an expression to emphasize embracing anything and everything that comes along in life, as well as not to be weary or ... • 45. Sustainable Development Is Possible For Academic Research During the last eleven years my work in Belize has evidenced that sustainable development is possible when academic research incorporates community direction, and recognizes local expertise as a component in the formation of new knowledge. Indeed, we are able to manage problems and in many cases improve lives by collaborating to undertake community driven and academically supported initiatives. What is sometimes misunderstood in the context of academia, community based research promotes the creation of new knowledge through multiple sources including academia, local tacit expertise, and cultural context (Strand, Marullo, Cutforth, Stoecker, Donohue, 2003). Collaborative solutions to issues and challenges that work within the parameters of local resources are paramount to sustainability. Moreover, sustainability is critical in effecting a lasting improvement in the human condition. The projects that I implemented in December of 2014 and December of 2015 particularly those directed at soil quality are indicators of the effectiveness and sustainability of these collaborative efforts. Although these projects may seem diverse, in the context of addressing the challenges of food insecurity, poverty, lack of access to clean water, and environmental degradation; interdisciplinary solutions in the framework of the integrated natural resource management model could be employed to resolve these issues (Sanchez, Palm, Buol, 2003, p. 159). Some people may give no effort because something is too challenging or involves too much work. Others may take action and work hard to succeed. Some people have the fear of failure. In The Crucible by Arthur Miller, some characters succeed through tough tasks and others accept defeat. Abigail Williams is a 17 year old girl who wants to have a good reputation in the town, but she also takes many interesting actions to boost her reputation. John Proctor is a wealthy farmer who is married to Elizabeth Proctor. John gets into a heated conflict with his wife after she finds out about the affair he had with Abigail Williams. In The ... It is not easy to accuse someone of a severe crime like murder when it is false, and get away with it. Abigail plotted this by stabbing herself and gave lots of evidence to defend her statement of Elizabeth being a witch. Also Elizabeth then states that Abigail is lying but Abigail s evidence is too strong. Abigail makes Cheever believe she is innocent when Elizabeth claims she is lying. Abigail passed another hard test and used solid evidence which makes her resemble a crucible. The last reason to show Abigail is like a crucible comes from Act three. Act 3 is the first court scene where people start being accused of witchcraft. Abigail accuses Elizabeth Proctor of witchcraft. During the court sessions John Proctor and Mary Warren both claim that Abigail is faking her sickness and isn t actually seeing witches. They both say that Abigail accused Elizabeth Proctor of witchcraft so she can be with John, who she had an affair with. Abigail gets angry so she fakes seeing a bird that Mary Warren sent out. Abigail crying in fear Oh, Mary, this is a black art to change your shape (Miller 950). Traditional Drug Discovery Methods used trial and error approach substances were introduce to animals or in vitro on the target without any prior knowledge of what would be the result. The effects observed in these cases are examined the treatments for the disease. For example, if a drug gives an effect to a pancreas cells, it can tested for insulin related disease like diabetes. 2. Rational Drug Discovery approach starts with a hypothesis, typically the modification of a present known molecule giving a therapeutic effect. After selection of biologic, the next process is screening, this involves the screening of many variants of the prospective therapy. It is a common practice to use: High Throughput Screening Once a target has been selected, it is usually cloned and expressed to generate thousands or millions of exact copies which are then incubated separately known as screens and can be test on the target (Rollins et al,. 2014) A positive reaction are called hits and further screened to determine if it act on particular target or other targets too. Hit more targets produce a toxic effect in following trials in animals and humans. The best hits labeled as a lead compound, and can go for further testing and the others are labeled as backups. Other method uses extracts from a natural product like plant derived molecules, antimicrobials from microorganisms, active compounds.
