Definition
An adjective is a word
that describes a noun. It
gives us more
information about
nouns. For example;
red. Beautiful, hot ,
happy, excellent,
handsome
SUFFIX ORIGIN MEANING EXAMPLES
-able Latin capable of being breakable, manageable,
knowledgeable, doable
-ible Latin capable of being combustible, sensible suggestible,
discernible
-ous Latin full of/abounding
in/ characterised by,
dangerous, victorious, furious,
courageous, adventurous
-ful Latin full of wonderful, beautiful, bountiful,
suspenseful
-al Middle
Eng/Latin
of/relating to/ characterised
by
accidental, monumental,
incremental, ecclesiastical
CLASS
ACTIVITY
Create ten
