12. • Daniel J. Fasciano, CFA, CAIA, is a Managing
Director and Family Wealth Advisor at BNY Mellon
Wealth Management. He rejoined the firm in 2010
overseeing a team of Wealth Management
portfolio managers and staff and is a member of
the firm’s Investment Strategy Committee.
• Dan received his B.A. from the University of New
Hampshire and his MBA from Boston University.
• Presidents Council Chair at the CFA Institute and
Past Chair and Board member of CFA Boston
society

Technology practice at QuantUniversity.
• He has taught several computer science courses at
DePaul University, Chicago, including data
structures, discrete mathematics, computational
geometry, and systems.
• Previously, he was a partner in a startup
proprietary trading company, where he developed
and implemented profitable high-frequency
trading strategies.
• Duru has majored in computer engineering and
mathematics, and he has PhD and MS degrees in
computer science from the University of Chicago.
