At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
A. Identify the proper classification of familiar words into basic
categories.
B. Follow the proper classification of familiar words into basic
categories.
C. Perform on how to classify things/ familiar words into basic
categories.

A. Topic: Classification of Familiar Words Into Basic Categories
(Colors,Shapes,Foods,etc.)
B. Reference: Teacher’s Guide pp.198-201
C. Materials: Pictures
D. Values: Obeying Your Parents and Be Organized Always.

sari-sari store?
- Do you already have an
experience in buying items in
the sari-sari store? What did
you buy?
B. INTRODUCTION
- OKAY.Do you want me to tell
you a short story children??
- The title of the story is
“Boboy’s Sari-Sari Store”
- Are you ready now to listen
children?
- Yes Maam.Sari-Sari Store.
- Some pupils might answer
YES, those who have a sari-
sari store.
- ( Pupils will share their
experience)
- Yes Maam.
- Yes! We are.
BOBOY’S SARI-SARI STORE
BOBOY AND HIS FAMILY HAS A SARI-SARI STORE.ONE DAY, HIS MOTHER
TOLD HIM TO ARRANGE THE GOODS THAT SHE BOUGHT FROM THE MARKET.
MOTHER: BOBOY?BOBOY?WHERE ARE YOU?
BOBOY:YES MOTHER?
MOTHER: CAN YOU HELP ME TO ARRANGE THESE ITEMS?
BANANA,SOAP,TOOTHPASTE,COOKIES,KALAMANSI,SHAMPOO,SOY SAUCE, BODY
POWDER ,EGGS AND BREAD IN THE STORE? I NEED TO RETURN TO THE MARKET
BECAUSE I FORGOT TO BUY A MEAT.
PLEASE CLASSIFY IT ACCORDING TO FOOD AND NON-FOOD.OKAY?!
BOBOY: OKAY MOTHER.
BUT BOBOY HAS A PROBLEM HE DOESN’T KNOW WHERE TO PUT THE ITEMS .

- Yes.That is correct and they
have a Sari-sari store.
- Now,we are going to help
boboy calssify the items
bought by his mother.
- Are you ready to help boboy?

the items that was bought by
boboy’s mother)
- I have here the pictures of the
items. And boboy’s mother
want these items to classify
into FOODS AND NON-FOODS.

- ( Pupils will look at the
board where the picture is
posted)
- (Pupils are listening to the
teacher)
BOBOY: OH..WHERE WILL I PUT THESE THINGS??? MOTHER?MOTHER?ARE YOU
STILL THERE? BOBOY CALLED.
BUT NO ONE REPLIED.HIS MOTHER ALREADY LEAVE TO THE MARKET.
BOBOY CARELESSLY JUST PUT ALL TOGETHER THE ITEMS.WITHOUT KNOWING
THAT THERE WAS A FRESH EGGS IN IT.
BOBOY DID NOT FOLLOW WHAT HIS MOTHER TOLD HIM.
KNOCK!KNOCK!KNOCK! A CUSTOMER KNOCK TO THEIR STORE.
BOBOY: YES?WHAT IS IT?
CUSTOMER: DO YOU HAVE FRESH EGGS? CAN I HAVE 5 PIECES OF IT?
BOBOY HURRIEDLY LOOK FOR THE EGGS. AND THEN HE WAS SHOCK THAT ALL OF
THE EGGS WHERE BROKE AND CRUSH.
BOBOY: OHHH! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE EGGS!
¶ BOBOY SADLY TELL THE CUSTOMER THAT ALL EGGS WAS CRUSH AND
NO ONE IS LEFT .THE CUSTOMER LOOK FOR ANOTHER STORE TO BUY
EGGS.

boboy are so careless and he
disobeyed his mother. He did
not classify the items.

Reference: Teacher’s Guide pp.198-201 C. Materials: Pictures D. Values: Obeying Your Parents and Be Organized Always. E. Teaching Strategy: Explicit Teaching III.LEARNING EXPERIENCES (Teacher’s Activity) A. PRE-LESSON ASSESSMENT OF THE TARGET SKILLS. 1. Routine Activity - Bow your heads.Let us Pray first. (Teacher prepare the class record , while the pupils are singing) - Hello Children. - Good Morning Children. - Dios Marhay na aga mga Aki. We are. BOBOY’S SARI-SARI STORE BOBOY AND HIS FAMILY HAS A SARI-SARI STORE.ONE DAY, HIS MOTHER TOLD HIM TO ARRANGE THE GOODS THAT SHE BOUGHT FROM THE MARKET. MOTHER: BOBOY?BOBOY?WHERE ARE YOU? BOBOY:YES MOTHER? MOTHER: CAN YOU HELP ME TO ARRANGE THESE ITEMS? BANANA,SOAP,TOOTHPASTE,COOKIES,KALAMANSI,SHAMPOO,SOY SAUCE, BODY POWDER ,EGGS AND BREAD IN THE STORE? I NEED TO RETURN TO THE MARKET BECAUSE I FORGOT TO BUY A MEAT. PLEASE CLASSIFY IT ACCORDING TO FOOD AND NON-FOOD.OKAY?! BOBOY: OKAY MOTHER. BUT BOBOY HAS A PROBLEM HE DOESN’T KNOW WHERE TO PUT THE ITEMS .

Do you like the story children? - What is the name of the main character in the story? - Yes.That is correct and they have a Sari-sari store. - Now,we are going to help boboy calssify the items bought by his mother. - Are you ready to help boboy? C. TEACHING / MODELLING ( I do it) - (Teacher will post a picture of the items that was bought by boboy’s mother) - I have here the pictures of the items. And boboy’s mother want these items to classify into FOODS AND NON-FOODS. - Okay.Let us first look at the picture.. - Yes Maam. - Pupils will say BOBOY. - Yes Maam. - ( Pupils will look at the board where the picture is posted) - (Pupils are listening to the teacher) BOBOY: OH..WHERE WILL I PUT THESE THINGS??? MOTHER?MOTHER?ARE YOU STILL THERE? BOBOY CALLED. BUT NO ONE REPLIED.HIS MOTHER ALREADY LEAVE TO THE MARKET. BOBOY CARELESSLY JUST PUT ALL TOGETHER THE ITEMS.WITHOUT KNOWING THAT THERE WAS A FRESH EGGS IN IT. BOBOY DID NOT FOLLOW WHAT HIS MOTHER TOLD HIM. KNOCK!KNOCK!KNOCK! A CUSTOMER KNOCK TO THEIR STORE. BOBOY: YES?WHAT IS IT? CUSTOMER: DO YOU HAVE FRESH EGGS? CAN I HAVE 5 PIECES OF IT? BOBOY HURRIEDLY LOOK FOR THE EGGS. AND THEN HE WAS SHOCK THAT ALL OF THE EGGS WHERE BROKE AND CRUSH. BOBOY: OHHH! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE EGGS! ¶ BOBOY SADLY TELL THE CUSTOMER THAT ALL EGGS WAS CRUSH AND NO ONE IS LEFT .THE CUSTOMER LOOK FOR ANOTHER STORE TO BUY EGGS. --------- THE END ----------

Why the eggs did broke and crush? - Yes.That is right.Because boboy are so careless and he disobeyed his mother. He did not classify the items. - Yes.Maam. - FOOD.
