Abstract
Using the retrieval–practice paradigm (Anderson, R. A. Bjork, & E. L. Bjork, 1994), it was tested whether or not retrieval–induced forgetting could be
found in item recognition test in terms of RT and accuracy. In this experiment retrieval practice on items from semantic categories depressed
recognition of non–practiced items from the same categories reflected in terms of RT and accuracy. Also the results are consistent with the hypothesis
that the accuracy in recognition of rp+ (Practiced items from practice categories) items will be highest followed by nrp (Unpracticed items for the
unpracticed categories) items and lowest for rp– (Unpracticed items from the practiced categories) items. The reaction time in recognition task will be
lowest for rp+ item followed by nrp items and highest for rp– items.

African American teenager who struggles with the repercussions of being physically, sexually, and psychologically abused by her parents– mainly,

survival to receive welfare checks. Aside from her abuse, Precious is forced to cook, clean and attend to her non–ambulatory mom, Mary. Carl, her
dad, continuously rapes her under the assumption that she "likes it and dies for it" (Sapphire, 1997, p. 24), even though her body is responding
accordingly to its biological function. While she is raped, she is disembodied and copes with her abuse by occupying her mind with thoughts of
"changing bodies" (Sapphire, 1997, p. 24). As an underprivileged African American residing in Harlem, she authenticates the embedded societal value
of being "light skinned, thereby treated right and loved by boyz" (Sapphire, 1997, p. 113). Her hardships and the realization of not fitting into that

nodes to collaborate and integrated on the air into networks to facilitate applications. The scaled–down censoring system presented below is an
example of those wireless sensor networks (WSN). In this system sensors are different between corridors area and manufacturing area, since they need
different precise level. Those sensors combined together by different wireless AP and provide services to different applications inside and outside the
plant. This is where virtualization shines. Virtualization creates an uniformed environment in heterogeneous sensor networks. It bridge the gap
between infrastructure and applications. And the network and sensor virtualization can achieved by the middleware. Middleware hide unnecessary
details and complexity of the underlying heterogeneous infrastructures, like different sensor nodes and different wireless AP in the presented scenario.

Object–oriented programming is a programming language model organized around objects. And it represents the concept of object that has data fields.
The Object–oriented programming is a type of language that is oriented around objects. They do not base their action on the logic that manipulate the
object, but on object.
By using object–oriented, you can solve problems. The object–oriented language is a type of programming that is kept in a single unit called object.
Meaning that the only way user can access the data is by using the objects methods. This can insure that the user will be incapable of corrupting the
object and also internal working can be changed without corrupting the code using the object.
Some of the limitations for this programming language are that you have to do most of the task manually. Object oriented programming is also limited

Programming languages are vast and diverse in their numbers. These different languages use fundamental styles of programming called programming
paradigms. These programming paradigms layout the particular design approach that a program will use to solve a problem or achieve an objective. Of

My Learning Experience With A Radical Shake Up
Significant learning begins with a radical shake–up
I grew up, together with my four siblings, at a small village in the Philippines. Everyone there knew each other. In those days, I did not really think
that I learned something meaningful that would affect my life, but now I could say that I have a different perspective on "learning". I've realized so
many things from my experiences and I have seen life in a completely different perspective.
Growing up in a developing country gave me an opportunity to value things which I gave little importance to. When you want to achieve anywhere in
the world you need to be properly educated. Meaningful learning occurs when students are faced in a problem–posing environment.
Most Filipino families often define education as an investment placed on their children for them to continuously grow and pursue success on their line
of interest by achieving higher education. My learning experiences in the Philippines are completely different from my learning experiences here in the
United States. In the article entitled Play Deficit, the author states that "Children there spend more time at their studies than US children, and they
score higher on standardized international tests" (Gray 6). Indeed, most of the students in the Philippines dedicate their life to learning and gaining

Flourishing is written by two authors who propose a radical approach to considering sustainability. They do not see the problem as simply
corporations causing harm to the environment, as it appears on the surface. They propose that the root problem within our society exists within our
culture. A major part of the book specifically tackles the way society has applied the concepts of capitalism. Originally where society consisted of
relationships between different individuals, individuals and nature, and individuals and themselves, the application of capitalism, along with the drive

If it would dominate the discussion and lessons and if that meant I had to mentally remove myself mentally from the learning. Second, and instantly, I
identified my self to the class as an individual whose second language was English, and how this would hinder me. First I had to be open and
understanding of what an adult learner actually was. I came in to the class knowing I fit the criteria, but it was not until we read and discussed a
few articles on the subject that I learned what that criteria actually was, and how it was a hinderance. In the article "Adult Learning Theory" it was
brought to my attention that adults, though ready to learn, come to the class with predetermined bias and expectations. That while they come with
knowledge and understanding, sometimes this is uses to reject new information instead of build on it (Kenner, C & Weinerman, J., 2011). This is
exactly how I came in to the class, assuming I knew things, ready to reject things, and would continue to unknowingly do so. I could recognize my

When choosing to work with adults living with severe dementia, many people often ask me how or why I do it. It's simple. Not only do I believe that
all people have value, I likewise believe that all people can contribute to society. The client who can no longer articulate their thoughts or needs or
desires is teaching me to listen and find alternative means of communication. In essence, they are teaching me to be a better communicator. I think this
is congruent with Sayers concept of meaningful contribution. There are still so many things about the brain that we do not understand that I would
find it arrogant of me to assume that the person with dementia does not feel they are still contributing to society in some way.
