This document summarizes a design thinking action lab assignment on generating ideas to help with the transition from school to work. The problem statement identifies an unemployed 25-year-old who completed their degree 2 years ago and needs to feel useful. Several ideas are proposed to solve the problem, including enrolling in formal or online education, volunteering for experience, networking to expand contacts, moving to another country, and creating a unique learning curriculum with expert input. The most practical, favorite, and disruptive ideas selected are: doing nothing, moving to another country, and creating a unique learning curriculum, respectively.
