selected participants to understand the training needs
Design and implementation of the pre-engagement
strategy: This entails assessing the understanding of
subject matter by the participants
Design of learning materials: Based on the feedback
from the participants from understanding the target
group the instructor is able to define the pedagogy
Delivery of learning materials: Actual training event
which includes what ICT tools to use, the pedagogy

RMPU being explored in the learning material
Design of the post engagement strategy: This entails
engagements of participants after the training to
understand the understanding levels but also how they
implement what learnt in their organizations

ensuring that gaps are identified and filled
appropriately.

Pedagogies of NUP learning materials
• Collaboration is key - everyone is both a teacher & a learner, we will
emphasize peer to peer learning
• The process is key - learning from inspiring practices then customizing
those to your context
• A non-linear approach – echoing the iterative policy design- the learning
materials focus on an organic, non-linear, iterative process. For example the
3 NUP pillars are meant to be woven into the entire policy process
• Perspective taking – because understanding various stakeholder’s
perspectives is key to working collaboratively, holistically & contextually
• Transfer of learning (ToL) is key – we will incorporate accountability
partners as well as peer to peer presentations to ensure the learning is
mobilized and applied
