In 2016, Portal Games had over 1000 pre-orders for an upcoming game, had a large presence at the Essen gaming convention, relocated their offices, sold over 120,000 games which would cover almost a soccer field, sold 850,000 hex tiles, and hired 5 new employees. Their plans for 2017 include new content for existing games, a new card game about space conquest, and taking over the Neuroshima Hex app to expand its features and allow online/asynchronous play.
