Coping with a Missing Person
Living with Ambiguous Loss
CMHA Waterloo Wellington is offering this free, virtual peer support group for those who are coping with a
Missing Person and living with Ambiguous Loss.
This group is for families and friends who have a missing person and those who have found their missing
loved one but wish to continue in the group to support one another.
“Know that it’s the situation that is abnormal, not you.” Dr. Pauline Boss
You will learn what helps in living with uncertainty and navigating the unknowns.
We will discuss how to cope with police process, media attention, triggers, roadblocks, changing needs, and
self care, and keep all this in balance with other life demands.
By sharing our experiences, we can gain strength from each other in a safe and caring space.
By coming together, we can be heard, no longer isolated or feeling alone.
We can have special times to honour our missing in meaningful ways based on group wishes.
