get the job done > being in the ofﬁce


WHY I LEFT MY OFFICE?
at ﬁrst it was a pleasant sight, until we need to change place.
of course - top secret issues that we have to follow


WHY I LEFT MY OFFICE?
ofﬁce was too far with me & partner who is married and have a
family and have a different lifestyle, not his fault


PLUS
it was small, not condusive, and I get to watch sunset, which is
demoralizing


SOHO
decided to work at home at ﬁrst


I thought it was cool, until I realize something is missing...


the productivity & motivation

at this time it felt like I wanna go back to the ofﬁce


so decided to work outside,
where everywhere is my ofﬁce!


BUT Not everytime is my ofﬁce :p

so i’ve decided to change my schedule

less concentration stuff
- emails, proposals, quotation
- planning what to do today
- call for meeting - working things according to
- setting up to meet clients at
confirmation/ scheduling daily planning
3PM*
- reading news/RSS related - preparation before meeting
- ideation stuff
with company - simply working
finally, high concentration work

( motivation stuff may differ for every human )


getting motivated is the ﬁrst step,
next is being productive

netvibes/google dekstop = webdesktop,
conceptshare, scriblink = web-whiteboard
teamviewer = viewing another desktop

DESKTOP-APPS
corkboard,dashboard = desktop pasteboard
iCal, rainlendar, Stickies = to do list


if you have the motivation, but unable to being productive,
you might have too many DISTRACTIONS!

wake up for a bright start and then losing it -___-

different environment have different distractions

- Astro, TV, PS3 or Wii - problem by another staff - noise
- Family errands - infrastructure - insecure
- living alone - small space - feeling alone without chit-chatting
- bad views? - infrastructure/equipment
- internal politics - maintain discipline
- boss mad at you
- you mad at boss
- set a schedule to do
family errands

again, get the job done > being in the office


EXTERNAL ATTRACTION
for example, girls to men, and men to girls, or miley cyrus


THINK POSITIVE
not me, but if it’s me, I’m all ﬁred up LOL!
you’ll stare someone, they stare you back, and pretend they’re boss


EXTERNAL PROBLEM
kids are adorable, amuse them ( make them silence! )


NOISE ANYMORE?
get yourself a music player, save your laptop battery too during
working


A LITTLE INSECURE?
use kensington lock, and bring weapons


ALONE? CO-WORKING
seriously, get the job done > being exist, remember forget YM.
2 heads with a brains is better than a lot of heads without brain


why you should avoid YM than Twitter?

- you only chat, when you want
- you have to start the conversation or
the other
- just like an address book to contact
- one of biggest distraction if you go
online

who you follow is the one you wanted to know
and your followers wanted to know about you too


MISSING YOUR OFFICEMATES?
They’re my ofﬁcemates. Of course you only follow people you
wanted to know, and they also want to talk to you :)


infrastructure / equipment

- places with plugs + wiﬁ’s / Wireless broadband
- preferably cafes = low distraction,not noisy + caffeine to fuel your day
- mamak also can, if you can deal with it
- nearby with stationery shops
- call divert your phone ofﬁce to your mobile phone
- be aware of your battery life remaining
- close any application that isn’t important
- stuff inside your bag not more than you can carry
